Chapter 26

Dragonguard and Moon's History

Storm Spire

On top of the storm spire, everyone stood around Ibis. "I'll ask again. What do you mean by too late?" Allen asked Ibis. "The Dragon Queen has not opened her eyes in ten days." Ibis said to Allen. "But she's not…" Callum asked Ibis. "No, no, she's not dead. She lives and breathes, but… she is not with us." Ibis said, leading everyone inside.

"Sounds like she gave up on living, and doesn't have the will or reason to wake from her sleep." Drake said to everyone, as they looked around at the fancy decorated cave, with a small table in the middle of the cave.

"As you know my name is Ibis, I'm the mage of the Skywing elves. When I heard that Queen Zubeia was ill, I thought I could use my magic to help her. Losing her mate and her egg had irreparably broken her heart. Finally, she closed her eyes, and has not opened them since." Ibis said to everyone, as they reached a large opening in the back of the cave. "Come. I will show you." Ibis said to everyone, as they Zubeia's room.

But hearing Zubeia snore, Zym stopped and whimpered. That's when everyone stopped and turned to see Zym too scared to enter the room. "Don't worry, Zym. She's your mother. Don't you wanna see her?" Ezran asked Zym. Zym yipped and jumped into Ezran's arms.

"I think it's more on the line of not wanting to see her like this." Drake said to Ezran, as Ezran hugged Zym. Zym then broke the hug. "You're not ready yet. I understand. It's okay. We'll go in first. I'll be right back." Ezran said to Zym, before everyone went into the room, with Bait staying outside the room with Zym. bait tried to comfort Zym.

They entered the massive cave, and a massive female dragon was sleeping in the cave. Dark blue scales, light underside, a white main on her neck and back tuff of white fur on her elbow and spikes tail, brown claws on her feet, as well as dark blue horns and spikes on her head and back, blue lighting-shaped pattern on the membranes of her wing with a few holes and tears in it, her face comes out more with a beak-shaped end similar to a bird.

"So this is Zym Mother? Dragon Queen Zubeia? Allen asked everyone. "Yes. But you can feel the sadness coming off her." Kali said to everyone, as they walked up to Zubeia, as they noticed her tail wrapped around a nest.

Ezran then walked up to Zubeia, and could feel a small amount of her power from just her snoring. Worried a little, Ezran reached out his hand, and touched her. Ezran then put his head on her. "Wake up. Your baby's here. You have to wake up." Ezran said to Zubeia. But Zubeia showed no sign of even feeling Ezran touching her or talking to her.

This made everyone feel bad, with Rayla feeling the worst, and Rayla running out of the room. "Callum, you better go to her. She needs you. We'll stay here." Drake said to Callum. Callum said nothing, and went after Rayla.

Callum found Rayla was sitting down and petting Zym outside the room. Callum walked up to her, and took a set next to her. "You okay?" Callum asked Rayla. "This is where it happened, Callum. Where my parents ran away. I can't stop thinking about that moment. How it led to all of this. Being here… it hurts." Rayla said to Callum. Callum then took Rayla's hand.

The next morning, Soren got his horse, and made it run as fast as it could to the Storm Spire, trying his best not to fall off from lack of sleep. When he reached the bases of the Storm Spire, Soren got off his horse.

"Thanks for getting me this far, buddy. You're free now!" Soren said to his horse, as he took off the reins. "Start a new life for yourself here in Xadia! Maybe you'll meet a nice, uh, unicorn, huh?" Soren said to his horse, petting his horse's head.

Then Soren made his horse leave, and started to stretch. "All right, mountain. Prepare to be dominated!" Soren said to the Storm Spire, before he started to run up the stairs. And while he started strong, after a bit, he got close to the top, and started having the same problems as the gang, and was slowed to a crawl.

"Come on, Soren! What were all those workouts for?" Soren asked himself, before stopping. "You can do this!" Soren said, before taking a couple more steps. But that's when Soren fell to his knees, and tired walking on his hands and knees. "Maybe I shouldn't have… done this… in… armor." Soren said, before he started to crawl.

That's when Soren noticed something growling, and looked up to see Pyrrah standing before him. Soren weakly laughed. "You." Soren said to Pyrrah. "Come to finish me off?" Soren asked Pyrrah. Pyrrah roared at Soren. "Soren? Is that you?" A young male voice asked Soren. "Huh?" Soren asked, before he started to pass out. And right before he passed out, he saw Ezran, and Lycanroc on Pyrrah's back.

Pyrrah then grabbed Soren, and flew them all up to the top. "Callum! Rayla! Drake! Allen! Kali! We need your help!" Ezran said to everyone inside the lair, as he stayed on Pyrrah's back. That's when everyone and their Pokemon came running out of the lair.

"This guy?" Rayla asked everyone, as she crossed her arms, and Soren gasped for air while still knocked out. "What's Soren doing here?" Callum asked everyone. "Stop asking questions! Help him!" Ezran said to Callum.

"Oh, right. Breathing." Callum said to Ezran, before cracking knuckles. "Ventus Spiralis!" Callum said, as he casted the spell, and magic winds swirled around Soren. Soren inhaled deeply, and gasped, as he woke up and stood up. "Is this… the afterlife?" Soren asked everyone.

"No, it's still just… the life… still. You're alive." Callum said to Soren. "Yeah, you good Soren, you just need help breathing up here." Allen said to Soren. "What are you doing here?" Rayla asked Soren, getting defensive.

"Rayla calm down. But I too am curious, what are you doing here?" Drake said to Rayla and asked Soren, as Soren was panting. "Hold on. Give me… Give me a second to catch my breath." Soren said to everyone, before exhaling sharply.

"Okay. we're all doomed." Soren said to everyone. "What?!" Allen asked Soren. "Maybe we should take this inside." Drake asked everyone, as they went inside.

Inside Soren was given a blanket and a warm drink. "Soren, can you now be ready to explain the doom warning you bring?" Allen asked Soren, after giving Soren a couple minutes to gather his thoughts. "It's my dad." Soren said to everyone. "Lord Viren? He's here in Xadia?" Callum asked Soren. "He rallied most of the armies of four kingdoms." Soren said to everyone.

"Most of the armies?" Drake asked Soren. "Your words reached many of the troops, and a lot of them left, but then my Dad did something messed up." Soren said to Drake. "What are you talking about?" Allen asked Soren. "We went to the… Sun elf place?" Soren said to everyone.

"You mean Lux Aurea?" Kali asked Soren, getting worried. "Yes. And my dad… he stole some kind of horrible power. And he used it to transform his armies into… into something else." Soren said to everyone. "What do you mean?" Ezran asked Soren.

"They're stronger, angrier, big… claws! He's made an army of darkness and he's leading them here.. for him. The Dragon Prince." Soren said to everyone, as he turned to Zym, making Zym chirp.

"Soren what happened to Lux Aurea?" Kali asked Soren. "I'm sorry, my father ruined the city." Soren said to Kali. This made Kali get all teary eyes, and buried her face into Allen's chance.

"I'm sure your family is okay." Allen said to Kali, as he petted the back of Kali's head, trying to calm her down. This made everyone feel peace. But that's when Soren slurped loudly, running the mode.

"I did use the word "doomed"." Soren said to everyone. "Yes. Yes You did." Allen said to Soren, with an annoyed look on his face. Ibis and Swellow then left the room, with Callum, Drake, Yanmega, and Darumaka following them.

"Hey, uh, Ibis, was it? Where you going?" Callum asked Ibis, as he, Drake, Yanmega, and Darumaka ran up to Ibis and Swellow, making them stop and turn to them. "To the pinnacle. I must see how long we have before this army of darkness is upon us. Me and Swellow will scout from the sky." Ibis said to Callum, before they started to walk up to the top of the Storm Spire.

"Oh, good. Uh, how are you gonna do that? You don't have wings." Callum asked Ibis, as they followed Ibis and Swellow. "Callum." Drake said to Callum. "Sorry, is that rude? Is it… It's just… we met another Skywing elf, and she had wings, so I thought you all had wings? Sorry." Callum said to Ibis.

But Ibis just laughed at Callum's words. "Do not worry. My ego is unharmed. All Skywing elves are indeed born connected to the sky. But fewer than one in ten of us are born with wings." Ibis said to Callum, as they reached the very top of Storm Spire.

"Of the rest of us, only a rare few can learn to do this." Ibis said to everyone, as he turned to them, and held out his arms. Ibis took a deep breath. "Manus. Pluma. Volantus." Ibis said, as the runes on his arms started to glow. That's when Ibis arms started to grow feathers, and turned into massive black wings. "Mage wings!" Ibis said to everyone.

"Okay now that's impressive." Drake said to everyone. "That's amazing. You have got to teach me how to do that!" Callum said to Ibis. This made Ibis laugh. "Teach you?" Ibis said to Callum, chuckling. This made Callum and Drake look at each other with flat looks, and Drake gestured Callum to let it rip. "My apologies, but a human cannot-." Ibis said to Callum, but was interrupted by Callum casting fulminus.

"Fulminus!" Callum said, as he fired the bolt of electricity passed Ibis. "You were saying?" Drake asked a very surprised Ibis. "Look, I've heard it before. That humans can't do magic, that it's not my destiny, But I know the Sky Arcanum. And with that army coming here, I'm going to need to learn all the magic I possibly can. So, please… teach me." Callum said to Ibis.

"Hmm… to learn an Arcanum as a human. Such a thing is unheard of. But if I may offer instead some helpful advice? Leave." Ibis said to Callum and Drake. "Uh, what?" Callum asked Ibis, surprised. "Take the Dragon Prince far away from here. Run, hide, survive." Ibis said to everyone, as he got ready to jump off the top of the Storm Spire.

"But we came all this way!" Callum said to Ibis. "And it will mean nothing if you throw your lives away here. Leave, while you still can." Ibis said to everyone, before he and Swellow flew away.

Back inside, Callum, and Yanmega walked back inside the room where Rayla was sharpening her blades, with Drake and Darumaka going to find everyone else. "Well? Did you get him to teach you any neat sky spells? Tornado punch! Lighting lash! Storm sneeze?" Rayla asked Callum, waving her hands around, making Callum chuckled.

"But, uh, he did have some advice. He says we should leave." Callum said to Rayla. "Leave?" Rayla asked Callum. "I think… maybe he's right. Every choice we've made so far has been to keep Zym safe… so, maye leaving is the right thing to do." Callum said to Rayla. "Yes. I agree." Rayla said to Callum, turning away from Callum.

"Okay, I'll tell the others, Drake should have told them what Ibis said." Callum said to Rayla. "But… I'm not going with you." Rayla said to Callum, turning to Callum. "What?" Callum asked Rayla. "You and the others should take Zym, but I can't leave. All of this happened because my parents ran away, so I have to stay and defend the Dragon Queen." Rayla said to Callum.

"But you can't face an entire army by yourself, you'll…" Callum said to Rayla, grabbing her, and stopped talking. "Die? Probably. But if I die, I'll just be paying the price they should've paid a long time ago." Rayla said to Callum, moving away from Callum, and taking the moon opal off her.

"Just… remember me, okay?" Rayla said to Callum, as she put the moon opal around him. "Goodbye, Callum." Rayla said to Callum, before kissing him, hugging him, and then started to leave. "Really? So, that's it? Just… goodbye? You're going to stay here and die out of pride?" Callum asked Rayla, making her stop, but not face him.

"It's nor pride, Callum! It's more than that. It goes deeper." Rayla said to Callum, turning to him. "Oh? Did you have a nicer word for it? Honor? Redemption? It's just pride!" Callum said to Rayla. "Please, Callum, this is about who I am." Rayla said to Callum. "Don't let your parents' mistakes drag you down. I know you feel guilty, but you're not thinking straight! Rayla, you have to let it go!" Callum said to Rayla, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"If you think I can just let it go, then you don't know me at all. You never did." Rayla said to Callum, before running away, crying. This made Callum mad, and sat against the wall, with his bag next to him.

That's when Allen and Kali walked into the room. "How much did you hear?" Callum asked them. "All of it. Sorry Callum. If only we knew what happened that day Viren took Zym, maybe you could convince her." Allen said to Callum. "They're is a way. It's a Moonshadow spell. It allows you to see a moment in history. But I don't know the spell, or have the power to cast it." Kali said to everyone.

That's when they noticed a light from the bag. "Huh?" Allen asked, as Callum pulled out the cube. They noticed the cube moon symbol glowing, and the moon opal the reason it was glowing.

Then Callum released what the moon opal was, and recalled the spell Lujanne used. "I think I have the power and have the spell." Callum said to everyone, before leading them into Zubeia's room.

"Now, according to the stories, one must just think of the moment in the location and it'll do the rest." Kali said to Callum. "Got it." Callum said to Kali, before crushing the moon opal. Callum then drew the magic symbol. "Historia Viventem!" Callum said, as he cast the spell.

That's when a pulse traveled the area. That's when Zym's egg appeared in the nest and the Mirror Viren stole was nearby. That's when A Skywing elf flew through them. "He's turned the Dragon King to stone! We have no choice, we have to leave! Now!" The Skywing elf said to three Moonshadow Elves, two males and one female.

One of the males, and the female have brown horns and blue marks under their eyes. Both were pale-skinned and had white hair, wearing leather armor with a symbol on it. The female had curved horns, the male's horn was going straight back. The female had a long sword, and the male had a double headed spear.

The other male had pale skin, white hair tied into a ponytail, with blue circle marks on his forehead, his horns were covered around the back of his head, with the moon phases chimes hanging in from the horns. He was wearing combat robes, with the same symbol of the other two. He had a staff with a round white circle, and a crystal crescent moon in the white circle.

"Any idea who's Rayla's parents?" Allen asked everyone. "Well the one in the combat robes is Grav. so the other two must be Rayla's parents." Kali said to everyone.

As the sun started to set Rayla watched from the top of the Storm Spire, crying. That's when Callum nervously walked up to Rayla. "I know what happened!" Callum said to Rayla, making Rayla whip her tears away. "Callum, I don't want to talk about it. I won't change my mind." Rayla said to Callum, as Callum walked to her.

"No, on, no. I did a spell to see what happened back then, when Viren took the Egg. Grav was lying about all of it." Callum said to Rayla, sitting next to her, and flipped through his book. "What are you talking about? That's impossible." Rayla said to Callum. "It's true!" Callum said to Rayla, showing Rayla the picture of her parents.

"That's them. My parents. You really did see them." Rayla said to Callum. "Not just me. So did Allen and Kali. When Viren came to destroy the egg, some of the Dragonguard did run." Callum said to Rayla.

The Past

On the day of the Dragon King's death, the Skywing elf was trying to convince Grav and Rayla's parents to run away. "All of the others have already fled. You know we can't win this. Come with us." The Skywing elf said to everyone. "He's right Tiadrin and Lain. My life is more important than some worthless egg." Grav said to the female and male elf.

"No, we swore an oath. If there's any chance, we must stay and fight!" Tiadrin said to everyone. "So long as the egg lives, there is hope." Lain said to everyone. "You're both such fools. Thinking that anything you do will change things." Grav said to Tiadrin and Lain. "Yeah, you fools can stay and die. It's a pointless sacrifice." The skywing elf said to Tiadrin and Lain, before he got ready to leave.

"Wait! Can't you at least take it with you?" Lain asked the skywing elf. "And make myself a target? Are you mad?" The skywing elf asked Lian before leaving. "Count me out as well. I'm too important to die for this foolishness." Grav said to Tiadrin and Lain, before he tried to leave. But Tiadrin forced Grav to the floor by his horns, and stopped him from leaving. "Whether you like it or not. You're staying and helping us." Tiadrin said to Grav. Grav groaned in annoyance, as Tiadrin and Lain held hands and pulled out their weapons.

A couple minutes later, Viren showed up, and found the nest empty. "Where is it? Where is that cylinder?" Viren asked himself, as he looked around the next. That's when Viren heard some wind rushing, and turned to see one of Lain's spear heads flying towards him like a whip.

Viren blocked the attack. That's when Tiadrin came out of nowhere and brought down her sword at him. Viren blocked the attack, and forced Tiadrin back a bit. Then Tiadrin's sword turned into a whip, and she wrapped it around Viren's staff.

Viren then changed his staff, getting Tiadrin's weapon off his. Tiadrin then started to attack again, with Lain joining the fight, his staff became fist blades attached to a rope. The two of them fight, knocking Viren down the stairs.

"You made a mistake coming here!" Lain said, as he charged at Viren. That's when Viren pulled out a paw, and caused a dark spell. Viren then dodged Lian's attack, and cast the spell, taking the wind out of his heart, making Lian gasp and choke.

"What are you doing to him?" Tiadrin asked Viren, as she charged at Viren. "Fulminus!" Viren said, as he fired the bolt of electricity. Tiadrin jumped out of the way, and the bolt of lighting ended up hitting a spot in the side of the room. This caused Grav to come visible, and sent him flying into the wall.

That's when an illusion broke, and the mirror and Zym's egg became visible. "So he did lay his egg. That explains his rush to get here." Viren said, as Grav pulled himself up, and started to run away. "Grav! Get back here!" Tiadrin said to Grav.

"Aspiro Frigis!" Viren said, as he cast the freezing winds, trapping Tiadrin and Lain in ice. Getting cocky, Viren walked past them, and picked up his staff. Viren then gave Lain his breath back. "Now to take care of that other one, and then make history." Viren said.

"No need for that." Grav said to Viren, as he came back, with a cylinder that looked like it was covered in ice with a flame lid on one end and a lighting bolt lid on the other end in his hands. "This worthless relic is what you want right? Let me walk and you can have it." Grav said to Viren. "How do I know it's the real thing?" Viren asked Grav.

"It's real. I'm only here because they forced me. Defending that thug's egg and stuff isn't worth my life. I'm meant for a life where elves serve my whims. Not to die for a dragon's egg and junk." Grav said to Viren.

"Very well. I'll let you walk, if you give me that cylinder." Viren said to Grav. "Deal. All I ask is that you make sure the other two don't live to tell this tale." Grav said to Viren. "Deal." Viren said to Grav. That's when Grav tossed Viren the cylinder, and Viren caught it.

"Grav you traitor." Tiadrin said to Grav. "Sorry Tiadrin, but I'm going to make it so you and your husband are the traitors, that you two ran away and left me to defend the egg alone. I'll make it so I will be welcome as a hero that failed but gave it his all, and you two are the worst of cowards. Giving me the life I should have. I would say it's been a pleasure, but it hasn't. Oh, I hope you two said something nice to your daughter, because alive or dead, you're never going to see her again." Grav said to Tiadrin and Lain, before leaving them.

"Now then, you may witness history… as I end a dynasty by destroying that dragon's egg. And save this world with the power in this cylinder." Viren said to Tiadrin and Lain, as he walked to Zym's egg, and put the cylinder into his clothes.

Tiadrin and Lain tried to break free of the ice, as Viren got ready to smash the egg. "Wait!" Tiadrin said to Viren, making him stop before he broke the egg. "You're a Dark Mage. You must know the magic that egg holds. It could be a powerful weapon. Why would you destroy it?" Tiadrin asked Viren.

"What are you doing?" Lain asked Tiadrin. "Don't waste it, mage. Keep the egg alive." Tiadrin said to Viren. This made Viren think, and Tiadrin's words convinced him. "Wise counsel, indeed." Viren said to Tiadrin. "Now I made a deal to deal with you two. But I think I'll repay you instead. I have just the fate in mind." Viren said to Tiadrin and Lain, before he walked to them.

Storm Spire

Back on Storm Spire, Callum finished telling Rayla her the story, with the thing Viren said to Tiadrin and Lain being the last thing he, Kali, and Allen say. "They didn't run. They fought. To the end. It was Grav who ran, and lied about so no one knew about this." Callum said to Rayla, before closing his book.

"They saved the egg! We're here and Zym is alive all because of them." Rayla said to Callum, before hugging Callum. "What does this mean? What should I do?" Rayla asked Callum, after breaking the hug. "I don't know. But it's your choice. No one else's." Callum said to Rayla. Rayla said nothing and took his hand. "We should decide together." Rayla said to everyone.

Some time later, in the area outside Zubeia's room, everyone was gathered with Soren joining them. "Here's our situation. Viren is coming here for Zym, and he;s leading an army of monsters. The Dragon Queen is sick, and we don't know when she'll wake up… if she wakes up. So, we have a choice to make. We can try to take a stand here, or we can go on the run, and protect Zym as long as we can." Callum said to everyone.

"All of them are not good options." Kali said to everyone. "So, uh… hi. Uh, I know I'm not really part of the group, but can I say something?" Soren asked everyone. "The floor is yours Soren." Drake said to Soren, as Rayla sighed. Soren then got up and sighed.

"I've known Viren longer than anyone here. I mean, because he's my dad. But it took me a long time to understand who my dad really is. And it was hard to see, because I really… I really looked up to him. He's smart, and the way he talks, you really believe that he's a good person, that everything he does is to protect his family, his home, or all of humanity. He makes you think that as long as you do what he says, you must be doing the right thing. Even when he asks you to do something bad. Something… evil. So, the truth is, someone who wants you to do horrible things, and convinces you that they're good, that's a villain. My dad… is a villain. And he's gonna get more powerful, and the more powerful he gets, the more people will listen to him, and believe him, and follow him. So, maybe we could run, and we'd be safe for a while, but… he's not gonna give up. It may seem hopeless, but our only chance is to fight him here. While we're all together. The only way to stop this is to look evil in the face and say, "No More"." Soren said to everyone.

Rayla then walked to Soren. "I was wrong. You are more than just a big, dumb lump, aren't you?" Rayla asked Soren. "Maybe a little more." Soren said to Rayla. "I'm with Soren. If we don't stand up to Viren, here and now! They're nowhere to run. But here, we fight, we might just have a chance." Drake said to everyone.

"So, we stay. All of us. We all agree?" Callum asked everyone. Everyone nodded yes. "All right, then. We fight." Callum said to everyone. "Now we need a battle plan." Drake said to everyone. "We need an army." Allen said to everyone. That's when they heard wings flapping outside.

That's when Ibis and Swellow came flying in. "The Dark Mage's army will be here by daybreak. But there's something else. Come outside." Ibis said to everyone, gesturing his wing to the exit.

They moved outside, with Pyrrah standing guard, they saw something flying in. When it got closer, they noticed it was a lion beast with wings, two horns, and two tails with flames on the end of it.

When the lion landed, everyone noticed Volcarona flying behind the lion. That's when Amaya came off the lion beast, and Falinks came off Volcarona. Amaya, Callum, and Ezran smiled to see each other.

"Aunt Amaya!" Ezran said to Amaya, as he and Callum ran up to her. Amaya met them with a big hug. That's when everyone else walked up to them. But the sight of Rayla and Kali made Amaya give them a mean look.

"Oh, right, um… all that stuff at the Banther Lodge, it was a big misunderstanding. I'll explain later, but Rayla and Kali are… our friends." Callum said to Amaya, sign language to Amaya.

"Kali?!" A male voice asked. That's when everyone turned to see Janai, Mizo, and Scarlett. "Dad!" Kali said, as she ran up to Mizo. "Kali!" Mizo said, as he ran up to Kali. The two hugged each other tight. "I was so worried about you." Kali said to Mizo. "You were worried. I'm the father here. I'm the one who should worry." Mizo said to Kali, as he loosened the hug, but kept Kali in his arms.

"What about Thalia, Elwin, and the baby?" Kali asked Mizo. "They're safe. The city's in ruins. But they're alive." Mizo said to Kali. "See Kali. I told you your family would be okay." Allen said to kali, walking up to her. "I both hate it and love it when you're right." Kali said to Allen, before kissing Allen's cheek, surprising Mizo.

"Care to explain why you kissed this boy?" Mizo asked Kali. "Oh, right. Dad met my boyfriend Allen. I know he's human. But he's kept me safe, and is part of the reason I survived the trip back from Katolis." Kali said to Mizo. "I also have knowledge about Pokemon. Here, let me show you." Allen said to Mizo, as he pulled out his Pokebex.

Oricorio / Dancing Pokemon / Fire + Flying Type / This Poekmon is incredibly popular, possibly because its passionate dancing is a great match with the temperament of Paldean people.

Volcarona / Sun Pokemon / Fire + Bug Type / This Pokemon scatters burning scales. Most of the danger of these scales is not in their heat- it's in the way they rob surrounding air of oxygen.

"Interesting tool you have? But I have asked. How honest are you?" Mizo asked Allen. "Very. I'm the champion of the Great White Dragon. So I either speak the truth or nothing at all." Allen said to Mizo. "Champion of the Great White Dragon?" Mizo asked. "It's true. I've seen him weld his power." Kali said to Mizo. "Well, then I gotta say, you picked a lovely boy to be your boyfriend. But hurt my girl and I will make you pay." Mizo said to Kali and Allen.

"I'm more worried about her hurting me than you." Allen said to Mizo, making Mizo laugh. "I like this one." Mizo said to Kali. "Glade you do. It took me a while to like him." Kali said to Mizo.

"So who's Volcarona's partner?" Callum asked everyone. "Everyone, this is Janai, Amaya's friend." Mizo said to everyone. "We are not… friends. She is my prisoner." Janai said to everyone, crossing her arms. Amaya then said a few things in sign language, making Drake and Mizo laugh a little. "What's up?" Janai asked Mizo. "I'll tell you later.

"I am Janai, Golden Knight of Lux Aurea." Janai said to everyone. "And our new queen." Mizo said to everyone. "Oh no." Kali said, understanding what her father ment. "I've brought my city's forces. What's left of them. They wait at the bottom of the Storm Spire, ready to fight the monster who destroyed our home." Janai said to everyone.

"Well, it might not be a grand army, but it's something we can work with." Allen said to everyone, as Ibis walked up to them. "I know you said we should run, but we wanna help. We wanna fight." Callum said to Ibis. "Then we will need all the help we can get." Ibis said to Callum. "Manus. Pluma. Volantus." Ibis said, as she summoned his wings.

Pyrrah then growled at Ezran. "Do you really think so?" Ezran asked Pyrrah. Pyrrah then let Ezran and Lycanroc get onto her back, and they hopped onto her back. "We're going to find more help, too. Big help." Ezran said to everyone. "Wow. My little brother, all grown up and riding dragons." Callum said to Ezran.

That's when Pyrrah roared, and she, Ibis, and Swellow took off into the air. "This is it, huh?" Callum asked everyone. Rayla then took Callum's hand. "This is it." Rayla said to Callum.

Meanwhile the Dark Army marched through the hills near the Storm Spire, with Claudia holding the sunfire staff, and Aaravos, very excited by all this.
