Time passes in Fiore, Natsu arrived to a town called Oshibana as he had his horse be handled by the town's police forces who he was currently talking to.

"a derailed train?" Natsu asks while having his arms crossed on his chest. "how did that happen?"

"T-The thing is that it's been hijacked!" the police replied while explaining the situation. "the train rushed in hard and then went derailed when it arrived to the station! We've managed to evacuate the bystanders and the local royal knights had gone in to apprehend the hijackers!"

"and how long have they been in there?" Natsu asks while turning his direction towards the large station at the center of the town. "they've got the hijackers or not?"

"n-no, nothing yet." The police replied while shaking his head.

"I see.." Natsu said before he takes out a new cigar that has the tip ignited with a snap of his fingers. "alrighty then." he turns and face the police while putting the lit cigar to his lips. "get all your security team to make a perimeter around the station. Ensure that no citizens does anything stupid like going inside to help or anything." He sucks in some smoke and swallowed the black air before looking back at the station where he soon sees a trail of smoke flying into the air. "I'll be going in to check the situation."

"y-yes!" the police replied.

"Are you g-going in alone!?" another police member asks. "just by yourself!?"

"Obviously." Natsu replied as he adjusted his belt and then goes off. "just make sure that you guys do your jobs to keep the people away, alright!? I can't be bothered by those guys come in trying to be all vigilante and stuff."

"yes!" the police saluted before quickly doing Natsu's orders.

Natsu went straight for the train station as he entered through a backdoor area while slipping through a horde of citizens who made a large crowd near the building. The fire mage walks inside an empty hallway while looking around for any signs of the train hijacker's crew or any bystanders who were caught and couldn't escape in time.

"Looks like they're only occupying one area and not these hallways." Natsu said as he keeps on walking while trying to find signs of where the culprits are hanging out. "either at the train area or they're just…"

As Natsu is walking to a corner, he instantly grabs hold of Revol and then aims the gun's barrel at the side, the fire mage's weapon cross path with a sword from another side.

Natsu's eyes hardens as the Captain of the Salamanders is in a stand off against a scarlet haired woman wearing metal armor and wields the sword that is aimed near his neck. The woman is also accompanied by two more people as one is a blonde wearing an orange and blue blouse and skirt while the other is a blue haired man wearing nothing but black jeans.

"Answer me." the scarlet knight spoke with a very hard gaze towards Natsu. "Are you working with Erigor?"

"I'll answer your question if you answer mine." Natsu replied while tightening his grip on Revol. "are you friend or foe?"

"That depends if you're either one." The knight replied.

The stand off continues in a hard and tense silence that made the blonde look rather uncomfortable.

Natsu keeps his gaze hard at the scarlet knight before he notices the blue guild mark on her left arm.

"Fairy Tail, huh?" Natsu spoke, recognizing the mark as the mark of Fairy Tail, a guild of Fiore located at a town called Magnolia. He pulls back Revol and then placed the gun back into the holster. "you three are from Fairy Tail, huh?"

"We are and you?" the knight replied, still holding her sword up.

"Natsu Dash Dragneel, Captain of Fiore's 72nd Magic Knight Force called the Salamanders." Natsu said while showing a gold emblem with the Fiore Kingdom's national symbol on the right side of his belt. "I'm here on a mission given to me by my superiors. I'm tasked to take down the dark guild; Eisenwald."

The scarlet knight looks at Natsu for a moment before she lowers her sword that disappears in a flash.

"My name is Erza Scarlet, a Fairy Tail's mage." The knight introduced herself before glancing at her comrades. "I along with Lucy and Gray here are on a job to take down Erigor and his dark guild as well."

"I see.." Natsu said while crossing his arms. "both of us are on the job with the same objective." He raise an eyebrow. "What do you say? Work together to take the guy out and stop whatever he and his dark guild plans to do?"

"Teamwork, huh?" Erza spoke as she went silent for a moment before she nodded. "Very well. With just myself and my two comrades, I don't believe we can take down Erigor on our own."

"yeah, I can tell." Natsu said as he glances at Erza's comrades before the Scarlet Knight. "on another subject, there were some local royal knights that came and try to stop the train hijackers from making more unwanted ruckus." He tilts his head to the side. "either of you three met them?"

"royal knights.." Erza spoke before she frowns a bit while tilting her head down. "we've met them, but they were..."

Seeing her reaction, Natsu could only close his eyes and then nodded in understanding.

"Don't blame yourself on what had happened to them." Natsu said before he opens his eyes and looks to the side. "right now, let's just focus on finding Erigor and stopping him and his guild from using Lullaby."

"Lullaby?" the blonde named Lucy spoke out before gasping. "now I remember where I've seen that flute before! It's Lullaby, The Cursed Flute of Death!"

"The one from the legends?" the guy named Gray asks and Lucy nodded.

"just playing that flute, and the melody causes death to all besides the caster!" Lucy said with a very worried look. "it's a super dangerous magic!"

"yeah and it's why the Council had it locked away." Natsu said while throwing away his used up cigar and then taking out a new one that has the tip ignited in an instant. "history lesson is over, let's go find Erigor and his guild before they have a chance to use the damn thing."

"Agreed." Erza nodded.

With that, the team up between Natsu, Erza, and her friends begins in their fight against Eisenwald.

At the main train station area, Natsu and the others runs in as they came to a stop to an army size of dark guild Eisenwald members and they also see the Grim Reaper; Erigor standing on top a platform.

"Yo! You guys must be the Fairy Flies that Kageyama brought with!?" Erigor spoke out all boastingly. "welcome to the prologue of the death melody!"

"you must be Erigor!" Erza exclaimed "what do you plan with Lullaby!?"

"what? you don't know?" Erigor replied as he flew up and floated in the air.

"He can fly?" Lucy exclaimed.

"It's wind magic." Gray said to her.

"I'll give you a hint, what does every station have?" Erigor floated up and landed on speaker.

"You couldn't mean-?!" Erza said shocked.

"There are lots of listeners outside. if I turn the volume all the way up, maybe they can hear our music!" Erigor laughed out loud.

"You plan to use Lullaby to kill hundreds of innocent people?!" Erza shouted.

"People who remain oblivious to the cruel world, don't deserve to live!" Kageyama exclaimed.

"Your insane! These people haven't done anything, your just mad just because you ignored the rules and got kicked out of the official guild league"! Lucy protested.

"We don't care about rules! all we care about is power! And with that power we'll shape this world's future and!" Erigor shouted but stopped when a loud bang is heard and a flaming bullet went pass the side of his head, and cause a long red horizonal burn mark to appear on his cheek. "wha!?"

"you guys want that power to shape the world's future and what?" Natsu asks as he is holding out Revol that has its barrel letting out a small trail of white smoke. He did a yawn and then looks at Erigor with a rather tense and hard gaze. "sorry, I must've dozed off hearing that long and boring speech of yours."

"you little!" Erigor looks very pissed at what Natsu did. "just who do you think you are!?"

"first, my name is Natsu Dash Dragneel and second, I ain't a Fairy Tail Mage." Natsu said while taking out Ver from its holster and going into a stance with his two magic guns ready at his side. "I'm the Captain of Fiore's 72nd Magic Knight Force, the Salamanders." He aims his weapons at Erigor who started to look more pissed. "remember that."

"a kingdom dog think he's such a hotshot!?" Erigor shouted before he swung his scythe to the side. "you lot! Teach these bastards what we're made of!"

"right!" Kageyama and the rest of the Eisenwald members get prepared to attack.

"you guys get the small fries." Natsu said as fire gather around his legs and then a blast of fire propelled the salmon haired mage straight towards Erigor. "this Grim Reaper knock off is mine!"

"who are you calling a knock off!?" Erigor shouted as he swung his scythe upwards and unleashes a powerful air slash that Natsu counters with a few rapid fire shots from his guns that cause an explosion upon contact with the wind attack.

"hey, will that guy be alright against Erigor on his own?" Gray asks as he and Lucy watches how Natsu chases after Erigor who is flying around while unleashing air blasts that gets countered with flaming fire shots from the salmon haired man.

"yeah, he's fighting the guy who only does assassination jobs, right?" Lucy added in, looking very worried.

"he'll be fine." Erza told her two comrades while summoning two magic swords into her grasps, the knight ready to face Erigor's subordinates who are slowly surrounding them. "he is after all the Salamander of Fiore."

Gray and Lucy looked at Erza who looks confident in Natsu's abilities even though they are strangers.

BOOM!

A fiery explosion ignited in the station as everyone turns to see Erigor crashing straight through a wall, the Grim Reaper looking incredibly hurt because he has some burning wounds on his chest because of Natsu who came flying in with a spin before he extends his right leg and pulls back his left leg for a powerful diving kick that pushes the dark mage further in.

"Erigor-san!?" a random dark mage cried out before he squeaks in surprise when blasts of wind and fire came exploding out.

"see?" Erza said while Gray and Lucy sweatdropped.

in a random hallway of the train station, a wall exploded and Erigor came flying out before he regains his bearing. The Grim Reaper wipes some dirt off his cheeks with his right arm before he gets up and then faces Natsu who came out of the hole and faces him.

"to think that there's a knight dog of the Kingdom that is this strong!" Erigor spits out some blood to the side while holding his scythe towards Natsu. "hey! If you're this strong, why do you obey the Kingdom's rules and their shit!? You could've become one heck of a dark mage and could do anything you want!"

"I could've become that, but I decided to follow in the footsteps of my mentor/ second adoptive father when he found me as a kid." Natsu said as he reloaded his magic guns' ammo and then pointed Revol at Erigor. The salmon haired mage glaring down at the dark mage. "and he taught me better than to become a dark mage like you."

Erigor gritted his teeth before he gripped the handle of his scythe very hard to the point it almost breaks.

"piece of shit!" Erigor shouted as he swung his scythe to the side and dashes straight at Natsu with the weapon readied. "GO TO HELL!"

Natsu didn't reply as he just aims Revol's barrel at Erigor before he pulled the trigger.

BANG!

Back at the main station, Erza and the others are rounding up the Eisenwald Dark Mages who were all beaten up.

"come on!" Lucy groaned while pulling a beaten up dark mage to a few others who were already tied up. "why is this guy so heavy!?"

"less complaining and just focus on tying them up." Gray said while using rope to tie some dark mages' hands and legs. "you don't need to get them to be piled together before you tie them up."

While Gray and Lucy tie the beaten dark mages up, Erza is interrogating one dark mage who is still conscious.

"now answer me, how did you obtain Lullaby in the first place?" Erza demanded in a very threatening voice while holding a sword's blade near the dark mage's neck. "that cursed item was in the possession of the Council and possibly sealed at a place of maximum security. I find it hard to believe that the likes of a dark guild like yours could slip pass through the Council's security."

"like I tell you." The dark mage replied before grunting in pain. "and besides, you should be concerned on who has Lullaby right now."

"if you're talking about your leader; Erigor, it's only a matter of time before he is caught." Erza replied before smiling a bit. "in case you don't recognize the name; Natsu Dash Dragneel is a magic knight captain who has successfully taken down nearly 17 dark guilds over a single year." She chuckles a bit with her eyes closed. "And he only did so on his own or with his team consisting of 5 members only."

"t-that many?" the dark mage spoke in shock. "that's just…"

"impossible? Not if you're a renowned magic knight like him." Erza replied before she felt the ground rumbling and then an explosion gets heard. She and the dark mage looks to the side and sees smoke fling out of a destroyed hole and from within it came Erigor who flies out and crashes to the floor while smoked and charred. "see?"

The dark mage's jaw dropped because he couldn't believe that his leader could've been defeated.

As Erigor lies in defeat, Natsu came flying out and landed near the defeated dark mage.

"that's the end for him." the salmon haired mage spoke while twirling both Revol and Ver with his fingers before he placed them back into their holsters on his back waist. He grabs and then throws away his used up Cigar before taking out a new one. Natsu turns towards Erza while lighting his new cigar. "so, that's all of them, right?"

"I believe so." Erza nodded while the dark mage she was interrogating is trying to crawl away, but the scarlet knight quickly kicks the back of his head and knocks him out. "we've round them all up."

"but not all of them!" Gray suddenly exclaimed as he and Lucy went straight to Erza. "we've got a problem, Erza! We're missing one of them! The guy who uses shadow magic, he's not here!"

"What!?" Erza exclaimed in surprise.

"he must've slipped away when we were all fighting and all" Lucy stated, believing that the shadow mage escaped to save himself.

"looks like I got to work in catching that guy." Natsu said while putting his new cigar into his mouth then sucks in some smoke. He turns and picks up Erigor. "but for now, we've got Lullaby and…." He begins rummaging the Grim Reaper's belongings before he suddenly begins to strip the man of his clothes. "where is it!?"

"what's wrong?" Erza asks while Lucy is blushing and looking away because of Erigor who gets stripped to his underwear.

"The damn flute ain't with him!" Natsu exclaimed as he tears what was once Erigor's pants while turning to face Erza and the others. "this guy doesn't have Lullaby on him!?"

"What!?" Erza and the others exclaimed in shock.

"Does that mean that shadow guy ran away because he had Lullaby with him!?" Lucy gasps, realizing why one dark mage had run away during the fight.

"if that guy has Lullaby…" Gray spoke before he looks at Erza. "you think he'll go to the town and play the damn thing?"

"Possibly, but that would make Lullaby's power only effective at a certain radius since he won't dare to come back to the station and use the broadcasting system." Erza said while cupping her chin. "if he wants to cause horrible damage, he might go back to the previous town."

"But wouldn't that take days?" Lucy asks. "The train is broken and all."

"not if he taken a Magical Transport Vehicle." Natsu said as he looks at Lucy and then at Erza. "we're at Oshibana, and that would lead only two towns closest to us for that guy to go in causing some damage with Lullaby."

"Onibas and…" Erza spoke before she gasps with her eyes widening. "don't tell me!?"

"what's wrong?" Natsu asks, seeing her reaction.

"Clover Town!" Erza exclaimed with a very worried, shocked, and frantic expression on her face. "it's the town where Master and the others are holding their conference meeting!"

"Are you saying that he plans to use Lullaby to kill Master and the others!?" Gray exclaimed while Lucy gasps in shock.

"We have to go and stop him!" Erza exclaimed as Gray and Lucy nodded. She turns and looks at Natsu. "I know that your mission is to stop Erigor, but if that dark mage has Lullaby!"

"Say no more." Natsu said before inhaling more smoke that he swallowed. "My mission is only finished when I've take down the entire Eisenwald guild." He adjusts his scarf around his neck. "let's go."

Erza nodded in gratitude before everyone leaves the station.

Meanwhile at a railway in a valley that leads straight to Clover town.

A magic transport vehicle runs on top of the railway as the driver is Kageyama who holds Lullaby in his grasp.

"just a few more miles and I'll reach Clover Town!" Kageyama grins as he held up the skeleton flute. "once I play this melody of death, those geezers are all dead! And then! this crude society!" he begins to laugh, believing that his guild's plan would succeed no matter what. "it'll be the end of all light guilds!"

He pushes the throttle on his vehicle as it drives even faster with the supply of its driver's magic.
