Within Crocus at night, the citizens were all looking out of their homes and standing by the streets with large wide eyes as the kingdom is rumbling from large heavy footsteps coming from the kingdom's broken burned down gates.
The kingdom's army soldiers were marching back as they all look a bit awkward and nervous as they walk upon the road that is just shaking from the tremoring footsteps. Arcadios was with the group as he just looks as nervous and awkward as they were.
"we should've just asked him to fly to the castle" muttered Arcadios below his breath as he and the soldiers went marching back while being followed by Natsu who stomps his large reptilian feet on the kingdom's streets that are getting filled with large footprints of his.
The large dragon got the whole kingdom's entire attention as some people thought they were drunk, dreaming, or just hallucinating for they couldn't believe that a Dragon of all thing is entering their home.
"your kingdom looks smaller from my point of view" said Natsu to Hisui who rides on the dragon's head.
"well, you are a big dragon" Hisui replied while giggling a bit.
"are you certain that a dragon like myself can enter your kingdom this leisurely?" asked Natsu to Hisui as he glanced at some citizens looking out their windows before they got in and closed their houses. "I can see and sense some fear lurking around"
"it's alright" replied Hisui with a smile. "I promise that my kingdom's citizens will never fear you. And this kingdom can be your home"
Natsu smiles a bit at Hisui as he keeps on following the army soldiers while leaving a trail of his giant footsteps that destroyed the kingdom's street concrete.
Upon the next morning, Toma stood upon a pedestal of his castle with a gawking face. The short king stands with his Prime Minister; Darton who looks like he was going to have a heart attack and trusted knight Arcadios who has a nervous uncertain look.
"father" Hisui came into view as she walks and stands in front of her father and the others. The young princess stood in front of the three while standing behind her and within the kingdom's garden is Natsu who stands while looking down at them. "please meet Natsu. a friend I made a few years during the time I was a 5 year old girl"
"yo" Natsu greeted the king while ignoring the fact that servants and guards of the castle were around the garden looking at the dragon with shocked faces.
"d-d-dragon-kabo…." Muttered Toma as his mind can't wrap around the fact that his daughter made a friend with a legendary creature of the past and had brought him to the castle. "a real d-dragon-kabo"
"t-this might draw d-dangerous attentions from the other kingdoms…" muttered Darton, knowing that a presence of a real-life dragon would draw attention from their neighboring kingdoms.
"your majesty….Prime Minister….what actions should we take?" asked Arcadios with a sweatdrop in seeing their reaction and watching Hisui who climbs on Natsu's head, the Dragon letting her do as she pleases.
"a-ah…yes" Toma shakes his head and regains his bearing then looks at Hisui who is sticking her head inside Natsu's large dragon jaw.
"how does it look?" asked Natsu to Hisui who is checking his large fang like teeth.
"your teeth seem fine" replied Hisui as she tapped one tooth and felt how hard it was.
"hey! w-wait a minute-kabo!" exclaimed Toma in a frantic voice, nearly imagining Hisui getting eaten by the Dragon.
A few seconds later, the group held a proper meeting with Natsu as Toma spoke out first.
"eh…um….i am very grateful to you, Natsu-kun. For saving my daughter from terrorist kidnappers-kabo" said Toma before he bowed to Natsu and then stands up straight. "you have my eternal gratitude-kabo"
"not only for that, Father" said Hisui before caressing Natsu's jaw. "he also saved me when I fell from the cliff many years back."
"really-kabo?" said Toma while blinking twice.
"she fell on top of a bear, I merely scared it away from her" Natsu explained to the king before he helps Hisui who tried to climb on his shoulder.
"i-I see. I thank you again-kabo" said Toma as he did a quick bow.
"you're welcome" replied Natsu before he glanced up to Hisui who managed to climb on top of his head.
"hey, let's go and fly to the sky!" said Hisui with an excited face.
"hmm? I haven't been flying for a while.." replied Natsu before his wings spread out on his back. "why not?"
"w-wait a minute, Princess!" exclaimed Arcadios as he, Toma, and Darton looks in wide eyes at Natsu who squatted a bit before jumping and ascends to the sky with his wings while causing heavy gust to blow around the castle's garden that nearly blew everyone nearby.
"H-HISUI!" Toma screamed out as Natsu soars through the sky with Hisui on top of his head.
Natsu soars through the sky as he passes through the clouds.
"amazing!" said Hisui with amazed eyes as she sees the world below so small from above.
Natsu flaps his wings before he descends down and glides his legs through a riverbank then upwards again. The Dragon got high to a large cloud which Hisui traces her hands through the white smoke vapor before they continued to soar through the sky with no direction in mind.
A month and a half soon passed as we turn our attention to Crocus, the kingdom was having a normal day as always.
Within Mercurius in the throne room, Hisui stands beside her father who was having a political meeting with a minister from the neighboring kingdom of Ishgar. Arcadios and the guards were in standby as they were watching the meeting unfold.
"thank you for your understanding" Toma said as he rejected the idea of an arranged marriage of the two kingdom's prince and princess.
"if I may to ask on why?" the minister of the neighboring kingdom asked him
"let us just say that my daughter has set her eyes on someone else" Toma said with a smile and looks towards Hisui who is fidgeting around and seems impatient.
"I see" the minister said before bidding goodbye to Toma and the others
Toma sighs before turning to look at his daughter
"you may go now, Hisui" he said to Hisui who was no longer standing beside him. "Eh?" Toma looks surprised before seeing the door to the throne room getting closed as Toma caught a glimpse of green hair disappearing through it.
Toma smiled with a sigh as he shook his head in amusement
"those two are perfect for each other" the king thought with a smile
Hisui runs in a slow pace in the hallway as she is running straight to the kingdom's gardens while still wearing high heels that made it hard to run fast.
"I made it!" Hisui exclaimed a little out of breath as she reached the beautiful castle's garden. As she walked in, she spotted something red within the garden.
Hisui smiled before she takes of her high heels and sneakily tip toed towards the red object in question
"don't even think about it"A voice spoke as the red object slithers away and Natsu who was in his dragon form and was the size of a horse carriage pops out of the garden bushes
"not fair" Hisui pouted towards him as this made Natsu smirk
"blame my high and enhanced senses" Natsu told her
After returning back from their soaring trip in the sky, Hisui had a long time explaining to her father and Arcadios that Natsu was not some ferocious and insane monster that wanted to destroy the kingdom and how she begged them to consider him as a citizen of the kingdom.
It took a while but after getting her father and Arcadios's understanding of the situation, the results were in her favor. She was given permission to let Natsu stay in the castle with her, learn so much from each other, etc. the two were inseparable and had been doing so many things together for the past few days.
"what are we going to do today?" Natsu asked Hisui who smiled as she pulls out the dragon book magically out of nowhere
The two then got into reading the book as Natsu transforms into his human form so that he could read better and that was when Hisui learned a few things about Natsu; He does not know how to read nor write. Maybe it was the fact that he only knows how to speak due to the sound of people coming from the kingdom, or the fact that he was a dragon in matter. So, not only Hisui reads the book for Natsu, she is also teaching him how to read and to write.
The two spend the entire afternoon with each other while Arcadios sometime came and place some refreshments for the two from time to time.
The sun was setting as time had passed for the day
"this one says that Dragons have the ability to listen to the hearts of human" Hisui read out a page of the book to Natsu who seems interested on this one
"heh?" Natsu looks close at a drawing of a dragon alongside a human as it looks to be that the Dragon was leaning its head near the human's chest
He leaned his head to Hisui's as from someone else's view it looks like the two were an item together. But for the two, they were just good friends with each other
Arcadios was walking within the castle's hallway and was heading to the garden. He reached to the garden where he saw what might be the most sweetest thing ever.
Natsu who was in his dragon form had Hisui sleeping on top of his head as the princess seems to be enjoying her sleeping rest on him
"ssssh" Natsu whispered hushed Arcadios while peeking an eye open to the knight "she's asleep"
the knight nodded in understanding before he turns around and left the two to themselves. Natsu looks up as he sees Hisui turning around in her sleep while snuggling to Natsu's body warmth. He smiled before closing his eyes as he let himself go to sleep
the next morning came as Hisui woke up with a yawn. she sat up and rubbed her eyes a bit before smiling down to Natsu
"rise and shine, princess" Natsu voice out sarcastically as he opens an eye to look at Hisui. "sleep well?" Natsu asked Hisui who nodded with a smile.
"you're very warm" Hisui said as she lay down and felt warm on top of his head
"don't you have things to do?" Natsu asked her
"nope" Hisui replied as she runs her hands up and down on Natsu's head "I have nothing to do" she said as she closed her eyes to feel the comforting warmth coming from Natsu "all I want to do today is to spend the day with you"
"i've became a bed for her" Natsu thought with a chuckle "well, at least i enjoy it as well"
He closed his eyes as he rested a little more with his little sleeping princess on top of his head
Natsu was about to go to sleep when a thought crossed his mind.
"is this my mission my father told me of?"Natsu thought as he felt that something in the future will come to the kingdom
Natsu decided to shrug it off and sleep a bit more
The two slept together while being watched from behind a pillar as Toma and Arcadios looks at them with smiles on their faces
"let's get a painter to draw this scene" Toma said with a smile to his daughter and her friend sleeping together "this is for sure something that we all want to remember"
"as you wish your majesty" Arcadios replied as he went to do his order
Toma looks to Arcadios before looking towards the sleeping two
"thank you for being my daughter's friend, my boy" he thought with a smile before leaving.
