AN: Here it is, the long awaited love scene!

Maybe you guys are having the same issue but ff is not longer alerting me to anything. Not likes, follows, comments, or PMs. There's probably something I have to click to fix that (again). Point is, I'm so sorry if it seems like I was ignoring you guys. I LOVE reading through your reactions though, not gonna lie! Tbh, I thought I'd already updated this story to chapter 19. But I'm glad I hadn't because I need to get some feedback.

For the Silver Millennium flashback I did a separate story on the sub site. It's four chapters and not super necessary to read to understand. It's pretty basic and nothing special but you know first arc stories require it lol. And I love Sil Mil so ofc I have it. But should I do it separate or just post it all on this one story? Let me know what you think. I don't want to confuse anyone.

Forced to listen, Usagi continued to fight for her freedom. Finally, all she was able to do was get as far as the edge of the train. Still out of sight, Usagi stopped grappling with Haruka and Rei so she could listen.

"What do you want, Zoisite?"

"What do I want? I want my prince to return to his rightful place!"

"I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. The only misplaced one is you."

One more shove caught Haruka off guard, and Usagi could peek around the disabled train car. She spied the man that attacked them. He was young, younger than Usagi expected. His sandy blonde hair was pulled back at the nape of his neck, and she had no clue how long it was from where she stood. With his face and the sad/angry look on it, Usagi felt he was closer to her age than Mamoru's (which was what she felt the other men at Beryl's side were).

With his hands at the sides of his face, Mamoru stepped closer. He quickly went from bystander to dangerously close. Mamoru reached out and grabbed Zoisite with the last step, pulling the young man into a fierce hug. It had Usagi gasping, drawing in a short breath that she held tightly in her chest. She was sure any second now that Zoisite would do something to hurt Mamoru. But he didn't. Instead, the man wept.

"Zoisite…this isn't what you want. I know you!"

There was silence as Zoisite continued to weep openly. A few others started to move, getting free of the rubble and struggling to their feet. Usagi whispered as loudly as she dared to them, trying to get them to fall back. But they either didn't hear or care, Tark among them, getting his gun up to threaten.

"Let Chiba-san go," Tark yelled menacingly.

Zoisite pulled his head from Mamoru's shoulder but kept his arms firmly wrapped. He waved his hand, and the Youma with him attacked. The pops of guns rang out over the growls and snarls. Usagi began her fight again, shoving Haruka back to race to the others. Saori had rallied with Utena, the pair running out of bullets before Usagi could reach them and resorting to their knives.

"STOP!"

All eyes were on Usagi now, even the Youma as she stood with no cover or disguise. With the wreck and the chaos, she had completely forgotten until recognition shimmered on all eyes—including Zoisite's. "Well, well, my prince. You've been busy."

Throwing him back like a sack of rotten potatoes, Zoisite went after her. She was ready, putting up her fists with little else to do by means of defense. But an armored woman slid between and kicked Zoisite back with her foot to his face. Uranus sent Zoisite flying, so Usagi went to the others. However, now the Youma held them hostage.

Utena, Saori, Tark, Matsoui, and Kensu while Fred and Turner were missing. The four of them didn't stand a chance with the Youma three to one. Each person had a Youma's arm around their neck with two others looming, threatening to drain.

There was a scuffle behind her, and Usagi turned in time to see Zoisite take Mamoru by the neck. "Trader! Must we always be on opposite sides?!"

"You're…on the wrong…side…Zoi." Mamoru was struggling to breathe, and so was Usagi.

Zoisite laughed, manic, and looked around at everyone—taking in the situation in full. "My side is the winning one. If you come back and repent, Beryl will take you back. You know she will. She loves you, Endymion."

"Too…bad. I don't…love her."

Mamoru's eyes went to Usagi, and her breathing only got harder to keep up. Something about this was painfully familiar—all of it, the words spoken, the fear, and the death. It had Usagi's knees feeling weak and causing her to fall to them on the rough ground. The world was spinning again, blurring around without end or control. Her head screamed while her chest burned. She did her best to grab both and breathe.

When Usagi blinked away tears, Zoisite was looking at her on the ground. "Poor little princess. I pity you; I really do. But this is a choice you have to make in the end. The price of getting in our way time and time again." Mamoru fought against Zoisite's hold, but then he produced a knife, pressing it to Mamoru's ribs. "Your Prince or your people. Make your choice."

She didn't understand, looking around at all that surrounded. Uranus remained between her and anything else. Mars was fighting back the Youma that kept trying to get to them. Ami and Michiru were still with Toki on the other side of the train. Everyone else was either held captive or to be presumed dead.

Usagi opened her mouth, and a small whimper came out, only making Zoisite laugh. "Too slow!"

Terrified yells filled the air, and Usagi whipped her head around. Kensu was dropped, drained, and dead. But they weren't done. Saori and Utena were both screaming, but Saori was screaming for Utena. Both Saori and Usagi watched on, useless, as the Youma drained Utena to a corpse.

Her mouth hung open in shocked horror as the Youma dropped the body and moved on as if it was nothing to take a life. Usagi tasted salt but still couldn't close her mouth as a silent scream ripped from her throat. Now, four bodies littered the ground, all drained to nothing.

"CHOOSE!"

Mamoru was kicking Zoisite as hard as he could, but the kicks were weakening with his oxygen cut off. Usagi struggled to get to her feet, wobbling as her body ached from so many things. But she had a fierce warrior standing before her doing nothing. "Uranus, help them, please!"

Haruka took a second and made her choice, going straight for Zoisite. He threw Mamoru at her, the pair tumbling for a moment only to be blasted again with black ice.

"MAMORU!!!" Usagi's voice cracked as she screamed with all her might.

Blinking tears away did nothing, and it certainly didn't prepare her for Zoisite. In a blink, he stood before her. She took Mamoru's place, squeezing her throat hard right away. "Wrong choice. Like I would ever hurt my Prince…." Mamoru groaned behind Zoisite, fumbling to his feet, "well, not much. He deserved that. Just as you deserve this."

Zoisite looked to his Youma and gave them the nod. "NO!" Usagi screamed against the palm on her esophagus. It hurt, swinging her body as much as she could to see. It created a burn on her skin that Zoisite held tight.

Tark, Matsoui, and Saori buckled as the Youma began sucking out their energy, and something inside Usagi snapped. White light flooded the place, along with more screaming. But this time, it wasn't just humans that were afraid; it was the Youma too.

Usagi fell to the ground hard from getting dropped. With no clue what she'd done, she was afraid she'd killed Zoisite on accident. He was human, and she didn't want to kill more people. There had been enough death. When the light dissipated, Mamoru had Zoisite in his grip. An arm on his throat, he held Zoisite from behind.

"Come on, Zoi. Of all the Shitennou, you're the least interested in following orders!"

Zoisite struggled, "that was…before you..betrayed us, again!"

It all happened so fast; Usagi wasn't sure what happened. But Mamoru had a large chunk of black ice sticking out of his stomach, and Zoisite was flickering closer to Usagi. Aqua zoomed past, Neptune knocking into Zoisite with all her speed and strength. They toppled to the side, and Usagi found the others free of the Youma. She breathed easier when they backed up and left the fight behind. Saori flashed a glance back at Usagi, her face unreadable.

Neptune tumbled with Zoisite, and Usagi crawled to Mamoru. He groaned, pulling out the ice before she could help or stop him. "Mamoru."

He reached up a shaky hand, brushing tears off her cheek. It made her brain burn again, and she turned from his touch harshly. "This time…you have to…fight it," Mamoru murmured. She shook her head in confusion, pulling him into her lap to rest. "The memories…now isn't…the time, Usako."

Usagi didn't understand, but at the same time, she did. Neptune and Zoisite were struggling, trying to kill one another. Finally, Uranus got to her feet and raced to Neptune's side. The two of them were going to win the battle, and Zoisite…was going to die.

When she tried to get up, pushing Mamoru gently off, he grabbed her wrist hard. "No."

"I have to stop this…."

"No, you don't have enough energy." He was searching her, feeling her energy reserves with his touch that she couldn't pull away from. "If you heal him…it'll kill you."

"I can't let them kill him!"

Mamoru looked close to tears, bringing the hand he held close to his mouth. He kissed her palm and his shuttering breaths puffed over her fingertips. "He's…I don't want him to die but, I want you more, Usako."

It was the first of the Shitennou that Mamoru defended. Now, Usagi wanted to save the man even more. Mamoru's breaking heart was more than enough to push her, trying again to getaway. Mamoru held tight, but his consciousness was weaning. So much that Usagi soon found herself more focused on him than the battle. He was losing a lot of blood, and it didn't seem as if he would heal fast enough to survive.

Usagi was stuck. Stuck between saving the man she loved or the man that was loved by Mamoru. She valued all life as equally as she could…but Mamoru mattered more.

He cursed under his breath as she pushed her light into him. It was just like when they shared energy, this time focusing on a particular spot instead of the bands of energy spiraling inside him. Usagi pushed until the brink of exhaustion, watching the long and jagged cut on Mamoru swell shut.

He caught her shoulders before she fell on him, and Usagi forced her eyes and ears to stay open. She had caused another death with her choices, Neptune and Uranus circling a fallen Zoisite and promising him a quick end.

"Stop!"

Ami stood at the end of the train car they'd hidden behind. Her eyes were locked on Zoisite and his on her. Then, slowly, she walked up to the fallen man, and Usagi watched as the man on the ground, beaten and bloodied, looked more terrified than he had of death.

"They told me…you were dead?" Zoisite asked.

Ami carefully got to her knees before Zoisite and Neptune, and Uranus took steps back. "I was. But that was a lifetime ago. Just like you, I was reborn."

Zoisite's eyes were locked on Ami even as he slowly shook his head in disbelief. "No…no, I wasn't reborn…this isn't real! You died on the Moon, I saw it."

Reaching out with her hands and her heart, Ami grabbed Zoisite's face. Usagi's breath caught in her throat, watching as Ami lovingly stared at the fallen soldier. "Yes, I died. Beryl killed me."

Zoisite tried to pull away, but Ami refused to let him go. "No, NO! She would never…Beryl wouldn't hurt me like that!"

"She did," Ami said calmly, "but that was a long time ago. A lifetime ago. We can be together again."

Zoisite was cracking; everyone could see it. All except him, Zoisite still trying to pull away. "This isn't real. You aren't real! It's all a trick made by that wretched Lunar Princess! She has bewitched me!!"

"The only one bewitching you is Beryl. Do I feel real or fake?"

Ami leaned in closer, letting Zoisite touch her. He hesitated as if Ami would bite. But soon, he was running his hands all over her, and Ami allowed it without prejudice. Usagi looked away when they began kissing, facing a slumbering Mamoru instead. No one said anything else, collecting each other and looking for new transportation, tending to the injured, and leaving Ami and Zoisite alone.

oOo

Turner had gotten lodged between two seats that collapsed. A broken foot that would slow him down but otherwise fine. Frank…Usagi wasn't allowed to see, and she was glad after she heard "internal decapitation". Their group had shrunk so much in one battle, and it made Usagi tremble more than she already was.

Saori hadn't said a word, following behind Tark and Turner without protest as the three went in search of another train that worked. Usagi was in and out, not understanding much of what was going on. Usagi heard someone say she was in shock, so everyone stayed away, leaving her with Mamoru's head in her lap. That is until the new train arrived.

Usagi remembered getting put on the train and how no one tried to separate her from Mamoru. But the rest was a blur, finding herself in a strange building.

"Looks like this place has running water?!" Tark cheered, running a sink that was placed in the hall. "It even has electricity? There must be people living here?"

"No," Uranus answered, still in her armor from the fight, "the city is deserted. But it's close enough to Berlin that everything still works. And with no one here, Beryl sees no reason to bother with the place. But that doesn't mean you won't find Youma or bodies…"

On cue, Mamoru was carried past Usagi, and she followed without question. Toki was also being taken somewhere behind her along with Turner. Ami had Zoisite in her clutch, ignoring everyone as she assisted the injured man to a room and shut the door. There was silence after that, and Usagi watched them all without blinking.

The building was an old apartment complex, meaning they all had their own homes to bathe, sleep, and even eat in. It felt lonely, Mamoru still sleeping off his injuries on the couch Jupiter and Neptune dropped him on. If Usagi hadn't insisted and they weren't beaten and tired, one or all of the Senshi would be in the apartment with them. As it were, Usagi was too overwhelmed to fight them on it if they tried. She was glad they hadn't, wanting time to think.

The images that had flashed in Usagi's mind during the battle had stayed, and she was able to go over them in her head. But they didn't make much sense. They were blurry or ripped, some aged or lacking color. It was as if someone had handed Usagi a photo album that went through a natural disaster and explained nothing. Focusing on it made her head hurt and her heart race. It was like she was back in the battle, apprehensive and terrified.

The shower in the apartment was a nice size and private. The water only got to lukewarm, but that was better than Usagi at the moment. She felt frozen to the core, barely able to register the water as it ran down her skin. Maybe she was still in shock? That would explain why when Mamoru pulled back the thin curtain and revealed her naked and wet body; she didn't even flinch. Part of it was Usagi feeling numb, and the rest was feeling as though Mamoru had seen all already.

His eyes searched her body, and she allowed it, knowing he was only concerned and nothing else. "Are you hurt?" He asked with a strained voice as if he couldn't see her lack of injuries himself.

"No. Not physically."

His stone face twisted to a frown, and he grabbed her face to pull her close. Following his lead, she grabbed his wrists and didn't worry about getting him wet. "You did the best you could."

"I was…slow and selfish…Utena, Frank, Mary, Yega…"

He shook her gently, pulling her head to rest against his. "Don't. Don't do that. They chose to come. And we gave them plenty of opportunities to leave."

"If we had told them who I was from the start…."

"Then more would have come. Usako, don't you get how loved you are?"

She broke, a sob escaping and tears burning her frozen cheeks. "I don't deserve it. I don't deserve their love or their lives."

"Oh, Usako…"

He silenced her cries with his mouth, pressing it to hers to cut off other sounds. Over and over, Mamoru pressed his lips to hers with calming sweetness. He nurtured her, leaving her lips only to care for the rest of her face, wiping her tears away with his mouth. Usagi held tight to his wrists, her face still owned by his hands. He used his hold on her to twist her face where he needed to go, soothing the ache on Usagi's cheeks and in her chest enough for her to stop crying. When she did, he returned to her mouth again, lightly sucking on her upper lip for a moment.

It all lasted as long as it needed to, and yet, when Mamoru pulled his mouth away, Usagi wanted more. She told him this by keeping her grip on him, feeling like she would fall to pieces if he left her. He understood without a word, stepping the rest of the way into the spray and holding her tightly to him. Usagi curled into his arms, folding against his chest and listening to the calming beats of his heart. The worst of it all was that Usagi was gleeful Mamoru was okay. It had guilt mixing in her belly with her happiness. It wasn't fair; so many were dead and injured while they were fine. What made them so special?

Usagi both hated and was grateful for it, pressing her face as hard as she could into Mamoru's shoulder while they continued to hold each other. Finally, the water got cold, and they left it behind, wrapping themselves in blankets when there were no towels.

Usagi sat, wrapped in the thickest blanket after Mamoru insisted, on the bed. The room smelled of dust but was otherwise lovely and clean. A few pictures sat on the nightstand, but Usagi refused to look at them. A reminder of more lives torn apart thanks to threats after her.

Mamoru had stripped his clothes off under his blanket, not as comfortable being seen naked as she was. Usagi wasn't bothered; the moment was over. Nothing about it was sexual, but being naked together in a bedroom would be. She felt like her emotions were shot at the moment. However, Mamoru stood a short yet respectable distance from her. His blanket was wrapped around his middle but still showed his pecks and half his abs. Using the other end, he was toweling his hair. It had his thick calves and sturdy knees showing. And it made Usagi want to see more, suddenly feeling as if it was unfair that he got to look at her while she wasn't allowed.

Hiding her pout in her blanket, Usagi pulled the warm and soft cloth higher on her body. Mamoru went to his backpack left in the living room, speaking to her through the wall. "Are you hungry?"

No, Usagi was everything but hungry. She was trying to think of how to answer him without tipping him off when her silence was more than enough. Mamoru trekked back into the bedroom, wearing only jeans on his hips. His approach slowed as if he was afraid he'd spook her. Usagi wondered if it was her current position, only a blanket around her while she sat on a bed, or her mood that had Mamoru cautious?

He sat on his heels before her, looking up with concern etched all over his features. Usagi left her hiding hole just to brush the pads of her fingers along his cheekbones because Mamoru looked too beautiful not to touch. His eyes closed for a moment from her touch, making her heart race.

"I know this isn't the best time, but," Usagi's breath caught in her sore throat, waiting for the rest of Mamoru's words, "it seems we will never have a good moment for this. And I don't want to regret another missed opportunity with you, Usako."

She waited, but so did he, asking for her permission. "Okay…spill it."

One corner of his rosy lips twitched to the side, making Mamoru grin in a manner that left Usagi breathless yet again. "The thing is…I've felt…for a long time now…forever it seems."

Mamoru stopped, agitated with himself, and Usagi couldn't help but giggle at him. "Just say it, Mamo."

His smile dropped, and he took on an earnest persona. "Usako…I love you."

She stared at him, waiting for him to break. Either laugh and say he was kidding or add on the end "like a sister'. But he didn't; he remained solid and silent, watching her reaction. It made her blurt the question she'd wanted to be answered for a long time out without much thought.

"Am I the girl you left behind? The one Turner said you loved?"

Mamoru smirked, "you mean the girl I love; the way I feel about you isn't past tense, Usako. But yes, he was talking about you. There's only ever been you."

The overwhelming feelings swarmed Usagi again, making her dizzy. She fell back to her hands, keeping herself from hitting the bed with her back. Usagi had dropped all hold on Mamoru and her blanket, but neither was important, feeling as if she would float away any moment now.

Arms wrapped around her middle, Mamoru was angling himself over her to help her stay upright. It had them both at a funny angle, like neither of them was trying to be on the bed together. But it had his skin touching hers, the blanket slipping down her shoulders and falling to the bed. "Don't fight it."

She didn't understand again, Usagi's eyes watering as her brain swelled. All she knew was, she didn't want to interrupt this moment, lying in Mamoru's arms. He was so vulnerable right now, but so was she. "What is it? What's happening to me?"

He smiled, but it was sad. "You're getting your memories back."

There was something about that, about getting her memories; that was a bad thing. She knew it, deep down inside herself. And the look on Mamoru's face had her sure; she didn't want them, not yet. So she wrapped her arms around Mamoru's neck, and his eyes went wide in surprise. "I love you, Mamo."

The smile he wore now was bright and happy. Usagi didn't know what would happen or how her memories would affect her. So she wanted to be sure Mamoru knew how she felt before she got them. And there was something else Usagi wanted to do before they returned.

Twisting slightly, Usagi pressed her lips carefully to Mamoru's. He was still, letting her kiss him and pull back without a fight. When she looked up at him, worried she'd done something wrong, Mamoru's eyes were dark like the night sky.

This time, he pressed against her, kneading her lips hard. It was different from their other kisses, pushing so hard they slowly fell the rest of the way to the bed. Usagi responded, her body on fire as Mamoru laid on top of her, neither wearing much of anything. The apartment had a chill that Usagi couldn't shake until Mamoru held her—until Mamoru touched her.

He pressed up enough to look down at her under him. It wasn't the same as when he examined her in the shower. This time, his eyes racked over her, and they weren't looking for wounds. Instead, Mamoru was looking at her.

Usagi looked as well, taking in what she could see of Mamoru's body. Just like when she walked in on him changing back in Kyoto, Usagi saw skin. But this time, she saw the shape of his body, the scars on his arms and chest, and there was no shying away like before. That said, they both sported wicked flushes, feeling hers while seeing Mamoru's.

He slowly lowered himself back to her, kissing her slowly but with twice the passion as before. They wiggled against each other until Usagi had her legs split open for him to lie between. Her arms still around his neck, Mamoru's hands held her elbows while his elbows held him off of her.

In a haze, Usagi's tongue grazed Mamoru's lower lip. After that, he opened her mouth with his tongue, digging inside to play with her tongue.

One of Mamoru's hands got curious, sliding down her bicep, tickling her armpit, and brushing the side of her boob. She gasped against his mouth, and she felt him smile, running his thumb along the sensitive skin again. He got closer and closer until his thumb's heat was felt on her nipple. This time, when Usagi gasped, Mamoru swept his tongue deeper into her mouth.

He pulled away with that, moving his chest away to grab a handful. He had Usagi's entire breast in his hand, her nipple pressing to his palm, while his dark blues stared into her. He rolled her flesh around, and she bit her lip to keep quiet. It had Mamoru leaning back over and taking the lip she bit between his teeth instead.

Mamoru let go of her chest to put both hands under her. Pressed to the small of her back, he pushed her hips up and his down. The result was Mamoru grinding into Usagi hard. It caused her to whimper and moan, but his jeans hurt.

Pushing him back, Mamoru looked scared. Worried he'd gone too far. Usagi smirked at him then slipped a finger in the waist of his jeans to tug hard. "These hurt."

Keeping his eyes locked on her face, Mamoru worked a hand free and then twerked his jeans out of the way. When he laid on her again…it was skin on skin.

His course hairs tickled her belly and thighs where they didn't tangle with hers. And his hard member pressed hard against Usagi. It left her breathless, unable to think of anything other than the two of them together and Mamoru's size as it tapped her lower belly.

Usagi didn't move, and neither did Mamoru, save to gingerly brush her soaked strands, staring into her eyes continuously. "I…waited for you."

He was mumbling, but she heard him, making her heart swell. "I waited for you too."

Mamoru released a sad chuckle, "Usako, you were asleep."

"Doesn't matter. I would have waited for you."

His face softened, and he nodded slowly before grabbing her lower lip between his lips. With both of them virgins and the world ending around them, the conversation of protection was moot even with Usagi's mother's voice ringing in her head. That said, she didn't hesitate to lift her hips while Mamoru placed himself. One hand holding himself over her and the other holding himself at her entrance, Mamoru took aim then looked at her as he put them together. It was a bull's eye, Usagi feeling herself stretch around him and his girth. When he stopped, panting over her, fear flooded her. There was no foundation for it; Usagi was just fear-filled from the changes her body and relationship were taking in one action.

She was making love for the first time, and it was with the only man she'd ever loved. It was a big step no matter who they were to one another.

Usagi felt full, between her legs and in her heart. Tears threatened as Mamoru began to move in and out of her causing Usagi's first moan to come out more like a sob. He twisted, getting her lips with his and reassuring her with both his loving mouth and hips. The rest of the time was spent with Mamoru holding her tight to him. She held onto him for dear life, feeling like she was on edge and would fall any second. She was still holding him when she did fall; Mamoru held her tighter, letting her cry out her orgasm in his ear. Even with her screaming.

Once finished, Usagi felt limp and languid. Mamoru held her tight, rolling his hips into her a few more times before slowing to a stop. The last of it, he pressed deeply inside her, moaning as he finished. The tears that remained, Mamoru brushed and kissed away.

Her arms now around his ribs, Usagi held Mamoru to her to keep him from leaving her. "I'm not going anywhere," he whispered, brushing her hair away and looking wistful, "it's you I have to worry about."

Lifting, she kissed his chin then his neck before falling back to the bed. "I promised you I wouldn't let you be alone again."

Mamoru rolled, taking her with him and putting them on their side. "Yes, you did."

"You were the one today that risked his life. Not me. The reckless one was you, Mamo."

He sighed, rolling his head back as if he'd hoped she forgot. "I'm sorry. I thought…I could get through to him without risking you."

Grabbing the cheek he had on top, Usagi pulled his face back to her. "Don't do that again."

He smirked, "now you know how it feels."

With that, she laid into him, snuggling in under his chin as he held it upon his hand. "Mamo…I think I…need to do this alone."

"Excuse me?!" Mamoru was furious.

But she didn't flinch, "we need to. We need to send the humans home or somewhere safe. I can't…promise their safety anymore. Not with…you…."

"I'm sorry."

She shook her head against him, "it's not your fault I love you too much to let you go."

"Isn't it?"

Usagi rocked back, looking up at Mamoru. The look on his face was one he wore when he knew something. He knew more than she did about the world and who they were. So it was a look she was used to seeing on him since she woke up. It didn't mean she liked seeing it. "You know I don't know what that means."

He squeezed her, pulling her back into him and his comfort. "Yeah, but you will soon."

Usagi accounted it to finally telling Mamoru how she felt, to him admitting how he felt. To making love for the first time, to no longer being afraid of anything as long as she had Mamoru, reaching into her powers like never before, the threat getting closer with each step, losing friends so cruelly, or all of the above. Whatever it was, it caused Usagi to dream when she fell asleep in Mamoru's arms. Dreams that when she woke, she knew would change everything.
