Chapter 13-The plan

Daryl's P.O.V

Rick, Daryl, Glenn, Abraham, and Shane stare at the group of men. "We didn't steal anything from you," Rick says.

"You took supplies from a warehouse earlier, that was my warehouse," The leader says.

"I didn't see your name on it. You didn't have anybody guarding it," Daryl says.

"I put the meat sacks in there. Those were my guards. You killed them and took my supplies. You got to pay me back."

"We still have the supplies in the truck, we can give them back, nobody has to get hurt," Glenn says.

"I agree," The leader says. "Nobody has to get hurt, as long as you pay for what you stole. It isn't much. 25 percent of what you have in there and maybe a person or two," He says.

"That's not happening," Abraham says. "You can take your offer and shove it where the sun don't shine."

"You're not very kind," The leader says. "The other opinion is we just kill all of you and take what we want."

"You should walk away, leave this alone," Rick says.

"Can't do that. I'm Colt by the way. What are your names?" Colt asks. Colt was tall and dark with tan skin with brown eyes, short black hair with white hair spots, beard and mustache

"Rick, that's Glenn, Daryl, Shane, and Abraham," Rick says. "We can trade, if you need supplies."

"You don't get it, Rick. Out here, it's survival of the fittest, your people, taking my supplies, threatens my people, so I offer you and easy solution for all of us, you give me twenty five percent of your supplies and some people. Then we can work together, once we have an understanding. That you don't get to do whatever you want when you want, you're on my land, using my supplies," Colt says.

"Last chance, leave, so nobody dies," Rick offers.

"Alright," Colt says as he raises his hand. "Here is what I'm going to do, I'm going to you the rest of the night to think over my offer, in the morning, I suggest you send out a truck with supplies and two people, one man and one women," Colt says as he walks to the truck and pulls out a radio. He throws it to, Rick. "I'll talk to you, tomorrow, Rick," Colt says before he climbs into his truck and leaves.

The five men stare at the road as their taillights disappear.

Rick's P.O.V

Everybody stood in the big cabin. "What do you think?" Maggie asks.

"That they are full of shit," Rick says. "He might have saw us in town and followed us back."

"There were only six of them, we could kill them," Clarke offers.

"There's more. He's know that there are at least five of us here. He knows there are more inside, he wouldn't have shown up at the gate if you didn't think he could do some damage."

"So what do we do?" Rosita asks.

"I want at least two guards on each wall tonight, two patrols around the community, they might try to get in."

"We need to know how many people we are dealing with," Theo says.

"How do you suggest we do that?" Shane asks.

"One of them is going to be out there tomorrow, seeing if we give in to their demands, we should follow them back," Theo says.

"I'll do it," Oliver says.

"I'll go with him, watch his back," Sasha says and Rick nods.

"Don't do anything stupid, if it looks like it's going to go bad, get back here," Daryl tells the two who nod. "We don't know anything about these people or why this guy is after us, we need to be careful and keep an eye out, no one leaves alone until they are dealt with."

"Lee and Rosita take watch on the east wall, Mike and Jane take watch on the west wall. Tyreese and Amanda take watch on the south wall, Theo and Tara take watch on the north wall. Michonne, Carol, Kenny and Luke are on patrol," Rick tells everybody who nods. "The rest of you, get some sleep."

Colt's P.O.V

Colt stops his truck inside of his community. His community was at a school just outside of Broadway. He climbs out of his car and looks at a woman and a man as they walk up with him. "How'd it go?" The woman asks as Colt starts to walk.

"Only saw five of them, I heard at least one woman. We still don't know how many of them are in there, but they've been scavenging for weeks, they'll have supplies and people we could use," Colt says as he stops and watches as a couple of his men lead three men into a cage and shut it. "What are happening to them?"

"They'll be killed tomorrow, put on the fence," The man says. The man was Lucas. He was tall with short blond hair, he had brown eyes and a lean build.

"They killed the walkers in warehouse. Kill them and 5 others, put them in the warehouse, use one of them to lead a herd," Colt says. "How many more workers do we have?"

"25," The woman answers. Her name was Ruby. She had long brown hair and blue eyes. She had a fit build and tan skin.

"Make sure we have at least fifteen left," Colt says. "We don't want our people to have to do any work."

"Of course," Lucas says. "So what's the plan."

"I'll sent Wes out there in the morning to see if Rick is going to smart, if not, we start planning an attack."

"We need to know more about them before we can even hope to attack,"

"We don't know enough about them to plan an attack," Ruby says.

"I am aware of that," Colt says. "Don't worry, I have a plan."

"You always do," Lucas says. "Well I'm going to sleep. See you tomorrow."

They nod as Lucas walks away. "Am I joining you tonight?" Ruby asks Colt.

"No, find someone, I need to be ready for one of their women," Colt says before he walks away from her.

Beth's P.O.V

Beth walked into the house and looked at Maggie. "Daryl?" Maggie asks.

"Talking with Rick, setting up second watch and patrol and figuring out what our next move will be after Oliver and Sasha will get back," Beth tells her sister who nods. "I'm going to go to bed."

"No you're not," Maggie says. "Sit. We're going to talk."

"I'd rather not," Beth says with a groan.

"I don't care, I'm your older sister and I'm telling you to sit," Maggie says as she pats to chair and Beth sighs as she walks over to her and sits down. "So it looked like you and Daryl were in the middle of something before I stormed into the room."

"Nope, just two friends, talking," Beth says flatly.

"Sure," Maggie says. "You should wait for him."

"We'll talk tomorrow, Maggie. We need to sleep," Beth says. "Come on."

"Fine," Maggie says as Beth leaves the kitchen.

Oliver's P.O.V

Oliver grabbed his gun and walked out of his room. He looked at Octavia and Clarke as they waited for him. "Are you sure about this?" Clarke asks her brother.

"Someone has to do it, you can't do it, you're pregnant and Blake needs you and Octavia needs you and I'm a better tracker than the both of you," Oliver tells them. "I'll be fine, I'll have Sasha covering my back, she's a great shot."

"Just be safe," Octavia says as she hugs her brother. "We still need you."

Oliver nods as he hugs Clarke. "I'll be back soon," He says before he leaves the house.

Rick's P.O.V

Rick stood on the wall with Daryl watching the road. "Oliver and Sasha leave?" Daryl asks.

"Yeah, they ware waiting," Rick says as they see a truck coming down the road. They watch as the truck stops and a man climbs out.

"Rick?" He asks.

"Yeah," Rick says.

"I don't see supplies or anybody out here for Colt. So you're not going to give us what we want," He says.

"No," Rick says. He nods as he pulls out a radio.

"He said no," He says.

After a moment the radio that Rick has goes off. "This is stupid, Rick," Colt says.

Rick grabs the radio. "Leave us alone. You agree, I'll let your man leave here, alive," Rick says as Sasha and Oliver come out of the woods and towards the truck. They climb in the back of the open box truck.

"You won't kill him," Colt says. "I could have killed all five of you yesterday, I didn't, he's just the messenger, don't kill the messenger, Rick."

Rick looks at Daryl who nods. "Don't come back here," Rick tells Colt and Wes who nod as Wes climbs back in the truck and leaves. Rick puts the radio back on his hip. "Now we wait."

Daryl nods as he leaves.

Daryl's P.O.V

Daryl walks into the armory and looks at Beth, Carl, and Theo as they load guns. "Can you guys give us a minute?" Daryl asks the other two who nod as they leave.

"They gone?" Beth asks Daryl who nods. "So we got interrupted last night by our new friend."

"Yeah," Daryl says. "His timing was amazing. Are you sure you want to do this?"

"A hundred percent," Beth says before she leads up and kisses him. Daryl lays his hand on her hips as he returns the kiss. After a moment pulls away. "You're good enough for me, Daryl. Don't ever forget that."

Oliver's P.O.V

Oliver and Sasha sat in the truck. They had been in the car for about an hour and fifteen minutes. They both look at the entrance as the truck stops. "We gotta get out," Oliver says. Sasha nods as they move towards the entrance. They move the tarp out of the way and are met with gun barrels in their faces. Colt stood behind the men.

"Damn, Rick really is predicable," Colt says. "Come on, get down."

Oliver and Sasha step off the truck as Colt's men take their weapons. "Names?"

"Oliver and Sasha," Oliver says.

"How many people are in your community?" Colt asks.

"Go to hell," Oliver says as he sees a sign for Broadway.

"I guess we'll have to do this the hard way," Colt says. "Bag them."

Wes nods as he puts bags over their heads. "Get ready to see my home, you two are going to have fun."

Thanks for reading. Next chapter Oliver and Sasha learn more about Colt's home and how he runs his community. Colt gets them a choice as the group starts to worry about them. As always suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
