After parting ways with Edo Lucy, Natsu and the others were on their way to the capital as they were in the town, Sycous.
By the road, Natsu and the others were heading to the capital but while they were going around, Lucy is all happy and jolly as she is holding a book about Edolas' history.
"she instantly perked up" Said Charla
"well, she did get a rare book" said Wendy.
"aren't you guys interested in learning a little about this world?" asked Lucy to the others.
"not really" replied Natsu as he looks around for any signs of Edolas soldiers. "what I'm interested in is on why there are no signs of Edolas soldiers anywhere."
"now that he said it" said Charla as she and the others look around. "why is this town have zero signs of Edolas soldiers?"
"could they be positioned somewhere else?" said Wendy before they heard something large and heavy above them.
"w-what is that!?" said Lucy as above them all is a large flying ship
Before long, the Edolas soldiers came running pass the group as they look to be in a hurry.
"hurry it up!" "we're going to be late for the magic extraction in the capital!"
"magic extraction?" Said Wendy
"it must be the king's plan to take the magic in the giant lacrima" Said Charla "if they start the extraction, we won't be able to return everyone back to normal"
"we need to get there fast! Before it's too late!" Said Wendy
Natsu looks at the giant ship as he thought of an idea
"let's take that ship" Said Natsu casually
"you mean stow away, right?!" Exclaimed Charla
"let's just say that we are going to 'borrow' that ship from them, alright?" said Natsu while slowly drawing out Chitetsu. "I'm sure that if we 'borrow' it, we can reach the capital much faster than walking, or would you two rather take my way?"
"no thank you" said Wendy and Charla said in unison as they look scared while Lucy looks confused.
"I'll handle the soldiers outside, while Lucy take the soldiers inside the ship with Wendy and Charla, got it?" said Natsu before he runs towards the ship.
"uh?! Wait!" exclaimed Lucy
"huh?! Who is that?!" "it must be Fairy Tail!" The soldiers came charging towards Natsu who swings Chitetsu to the side, and then downwards before he appeared behind all the soldiers who fell to the ground.
"he cut them down!?" exclaimed Charla while running with Lucy and Wendy to the air ship.
"don't worry" said Natsu as he dodge a spear from a soldier before he swung Chitetsu down at the enemy. "I am just using his back instead of his front"
"how boorish" said Chitetsu, complaining that Natsu didn't cut someone down and take their blood.
Natsu takes care of the soldiers outside while Lucy and the others got on the airship that has some soldiers inside.
"There's no helping it!" Lucy said as she takes out one of her golden keys "Open the gate of the Lion! Loke!"
Lucy chanted out but Virgo came out instead
"ehhh?! Why did Virgo came out!?" Exclaimed Lucy
"I'm sorry, princess, big brother is busy at the moment and so I am responding to your call in his stead" Virgo replied
"that stupid playboy!" Lucy screamed
"is it time for punishment?" asked Virgo.
Natsu swung Chitetsu to the ground as the pavement road was split into two, causing some soldiers to fall into it. Natsu looks up as more and more soldiers came running in.
"are you guys on!?" exclaimed Natsu to Lucy and the others who push out some unconscious off the ship before giving him the OK sign that made him nod.
Natsu swung Chitetsu upward as he cuts a soldier's magic sword in half before grabbing the man.
"you're coming with us" said Natsu to the soldier as he threw the man right into the back of airship and into it before he swung Chitetsu at the other incoming soldiers as a powerful air slash flew right towards them and caused an explosion.
Natsu soon ran towards the airship as he got on board before getting the soldier that he threw in to the control seat.
"drive this thing to the capital" said Natsu before having Chitetsu's blade pointed near the man's throat. "or we'll see if Edolas people have the same blood as we do"
The soldier merely squeaked before the airship started flying into the air, leaving the soldiers in the town behind.
"that was a close one, Natsu" said Lucy to Natsu who holds Chitetsu near the soldier's neck as the man pilots the ship because of Natsu's threat.
"I could've ended faster if I could give Chitetsu their blood" said Natsu with an emotionless look as he pushed the blade near the pilot's neck, causing him to shriek. "that way we can get more power in beating the king, right?"
"Natsu-san…you're talking is a bit.." said Wendy a bit terrified of what Natsu said.
"you….are you sane right now?" said Charla as Natsu nodded.
"I am…" replied Natsu "I am only not sane when I don't see my family forever anymore"
"i-I see" said Lucy with an awkward smile.
The airship flew in the sky as it flew to the capital as fast as it could.
At the capital, there is a large Lacrima in the city as some people were watching it but at the limitation of the Edolas soldiers which made a circle to stop people from getting too close.
"soon, Edolas' magic will be overflowing" a soldier said as he stared at the giant lacrima crystal
"yeah, it's amazing if you imagine the amount of magic coming from this lacrima" another soldier added in
In an alleyway, a cloaked figure was looking at the giant lacrima crystal as a grin appeared on the figure's face "Gi hee!"
After flying in the airship that had landed near the capital, we find Natsu and the others walking in the city where they find the place filled and overflowing with magic.
"did you really had to knock the senses out of that guy?" asked Lucy to Natsu as after they had landed near the capital, the man swung the back of Chitetsu's blade at the soldier pilot's neck and knocks him out.
"would it be better for him to call others while we are in the capital?" asked Natsu as he did the action to prevent any means of them being captured the moment they entered the capital.
The group keeps on moving in the capital as they just see how much magic is gathered in the capital.
"for a city that is ruled by a tyrant of a king, this place looks more like an amusement park" said Lucy, seeing children passing by while riding magic-induced toy horses.
"they're wasting magic everywhere," Charla said "they stole magic from every guild and the entire country just to focus it here, the king must've done this to gain the favour over its citizen"
"what a crook" said Lucy before they see a large crowd over in front as they seem to be in celebration or something.
"a parade?" said Wendy before everyone got near the crowd and they saw the giant lacrima.
"a lacrima!" said Lucy while gasping "it's huge!"
"and it's only a section! There are markings like it was cut!" Charla said
"this is only a piece of it?!" said Lucy with more shock going into her head.
"could this part be…Erza-san or Gray-san or anyone in the guild?" said Wendy while her hands reach to her open mouth.
"Erza?" said Natsu as everyone looks at him and then to the large lacrima where Knightwalker came into view while standing on a podium. The scarlet knight stood in front of a magic microphone while holding a scroll in hand.
"greetings to the people of Edolas, I have a message that is given to me by our great king!" said Erza as she opens the scroll and started reading the message written inside. "children of Edolas, My sacred country of Edolas, Anima has given us ten years of magic power! sing together! Laugh together! We share this joy with all the citizens! Each and every citizen of Edolas has the right to share this magic power! The citizens of Edolas are a sacred race that will endure for centuries! No one can take away our magical power! And I pledge to this day that we will obtain more magic than this! we will obtain an infinite amount of magic!"
The soldiers started to raise the flags of Edolas in the air as so did Knightwalker who raise her spear into the air.
"long live the King! Long live EDOLAS!" shouted Knightwalker as the citizens started cheering.
"EDOLAS! EDOLAS! EDOLAS! EDOLAS! EDOLAS!" the citizens cheered over and over as they just wanted magic while not caring that the lacrima in front of them all are people turned into lacrima.
Natsu gritted his teeth as his hand reached for Chitetsu's handle but Lucy stopped him by holding it back. The man looks at Lucy as she is in tears while shaking her head, telling him not to do anything rash even if he wanted to save their family.
The man clicked his tongue as his hand slowly goes down from reaching Chitetsu.
After the parade was over, Natsu and the others are in a hotel as they were all just sitting in silence but for Charla, she is scribbling down something on a piece of paper.
"that lacrima in the parade was only a chunk of it, just imagining the bigger one is baffling" said Lucy while frowning.
"that large chunk could either be Kiara or Haruka or Haruo or even Ikaruga.." said Natsu as he clenched his fists tight just from thinking of his wife and children who are turned into lacrima. "….i am going to kill the King and make everyone in this sick kingdom pay for doing this!"
"Natsu-san.." said Wendy who frowns sadly, knowing just how the man feels.
"just charging forward won't help them at all" Charla said as she finished scribbling on the piece of paper "if we don't have a proper plan, we'll never be able to return everyone back to normal"
"but how are we going to save everyone?" said Lucy to Charla
"it was the king who planned Anima, and I think that he knows how to reverse its effect on everyone who got turned into the large lacrima.." said Charla as this got everyone's attention "but I don't think he would just give out the answer to us"
"no, we can get the answer" said Lucy as she holds up Gemini's Celestial Spirit Key. "Gemini have the power to transform into anyone they touched but the transformation limit is to two people, so we can get the info if Gemini can just touch the king"
"the only problem now is how do we get close to the king?" said Charla
"there is way" Charla said as she lifted up the piece of paper she had been scribbling on and it revealed to be a map of the underground system "there is another underground route connected to the castle, it should still be there for us to use"
"that's incredible, Charla! How'd you know about that?!" Wendy asked the feline
"certain fragments of information come to mind" Charla said "ever since I arrived to Edolas, some geographical information has been coming into my head little by little"
"so if we can find this passage, we can get to the king and make this plan work!" said Lucy
"no" said Natsu as everyone looks at him. "you guys just stay here while I get the information myself"
"do you plan on going in alone?" said Charla to Natsu who grabs a cloak and wears it. "this is an entire kingdom filled with Edolas soldier! The moment you get spotted, it's all over!"
"not if I cut them down first" said Natsu as his eyes turned dark and emotionless. "I have been patient on not cutting anyone down in Edolas. But since everyone's life is at stake, I will take their lives for their sins"
"but they're just doing this because their magic is dying!" said Lucy to Natsu who scoffed.
"then so be it" said Natsu as he pulls on the hood of the cloak to cover his face. "they took away my family and friends then turn them into lacrima to become their magic….i don't give a damn anymore about their world"
Natsu went to the window as he jumped out of it and left the others behind.
"Natsu….i know that he's worried but to be taking things too far" said Lucy with a frown.
"we have to let him be" said Charla while having a stern look. "right now, we have to do everything we can to get to the king and get the information"
Wendy and Lucy nodded before the three decided to rest up till night-time before they initiate their plan.
night-time quickly came as we turn our attention to the Royal Kingdom of Edolas where there are countless amounts of Edolas Soldiers patrolling the area.
One soldier is walking around the hallway before he got pulled into a dark corner and Chitetsu's blade pierced through his stomach and to his back. The man couldn't even let out a gasp of pain as his blood got instantly drained into the katana.
The soldier dropped dead to the ground before getting dragged into the dark corner as Natsu soon appeared out of the shadows.
"how much power did their blood give you?" said Natsu in a whisper while checking on nearby corners for any sign of more soldiers nearby.
"their blood is not that appetizing, but it fed me enough for an hour," said Chitetsu as the demonic skeletal shadow appeared on the blade while having a smile. "if you feed me the blood of this world's Scarlet, I believe that I have enough for a whole day"
"you have enough blood for now" said Natsu as he leaves the dark corner where he left 10 dead bodies of Edolas soldiers who were all drained of their blood. "I just need enough power to take this whole castle and everyone down."
"hehehehe, how boorish of you" replied Chitetsu with a cackle as Natsu runs down the hallway before he quickly jumps up a wall and hanged onto a flagpole. He looks down as he finds a group of Edolas soldiers coming from a corner while escorting the Edolas King who walked in the center of the group.
"that must be the Edolas King" whispered Natsu as he watched the group moved to a large door down at the end of the hall which the man suspects to be the King's living quarters.
"kill the king or take the information on how to save your allies in the lacrima?" asked Chitetsu with a cackle while Natsu ignores the talking katana's statement.
Natsu looks around as he sees that the only Edolas soldiers insight are the ones that escorted the King into the living quarters and were now standing guard by the door.
"how much power will their blood give you?" asked Natsu to Chitetsu while holding the katana near his face showing the demonic skeletal shadow that smirks.
"Plenty for three hours, hehehehe" said Chitetsu while cackling
Within the living quarters of the king, the masked ruler walks within the amazingly high-class bedroom where the king place down his crown to a table before hearing a racket sound by the door.
The King turns towards the door before going to it and open the door but finds no soldier guards positioned by the front.
"this is…" said the King before a hand wrapped around his neck and pulls him into the room, the door closing and locking tight.
The King dropped to the floor as he looks up and sees Natsu who holds Chitetsu whose blade is covered in blood.
"you are going to tell me how to reverse the people of Earthland who are turned into lacrima back into people" said Natsu as he lifted Chitetsu up and the katana sucks in all the blood before its blade shines from the light above. "or you will die in a slow and gruesome death"
The King didn't spoke a word as this got Natsu to be impatient from waiting to hear the answer.
"answer me.." said Natsu before he pointed Chitetsu's blade to the masked King's metallic mask. "NOW!"
"h-how are you…still alive.." said the King in a trembling voice as Natsu's eyes widen a bit because the voice sounded a bit feminine.
"you….it can't be…" muttered Natsu as his eyes started trembling.
The masked King lifted his right hand up as the sleeves slides down to reveal a woman's hand that slowly holds the King's mask and slowly pulls it off. Strands of pink hair fall out from behind the mask as Natsu took a step back, his eyes trembling and shaking while filled with shock.
"y-you….why!?" said Natsu as he is face to face with the Edolas Ikaruga who looks at the man in tears.
"Natsu…" she muttered out with endless amounts of tears pouring down her eyes.
