in the raining storm above and the raging sea bellow, the final battle of Fairy Tail against Grimoire Heart is coming to a closing end.
Lucy with Wendy, Makarov, Lily, Charla, and Cana are heading to the base camp as the group had just encountered one of the Grimoire Heart's Seven Kin members, Bluenote Stinger who they had no chance of winning against. Cana coming to the group with a powerful magic called Fairy Glitter, given by the spirit of the First Fairy Tail, Mavis Vermillion who gave her the power to save the others but that power was crushed by Bluenote Stinger because Cana didn't have enough time to truly master the magic, therefore it came as a weak spell, but when all hope was thought to be lost, Gildarts came to the rescue.
The Crash Mage fights Bluenote head on in a battle of monsters as he told Lucy and the others to head off while he faces the enemy. Right now, the group prays that the powerful S-class mage can defeat Bluenote.
"you feeling alright, Cana?" asked Lucy to Cana as she holds her up by her shoulder.
"other than my magic nearly completely drained, and I have got a need to drink." Said Cana in a sarcastic voice before glancing at Lucy. "I think I'm feeling alright"
Lucy and Cana shared a small laugh together before they heard an explosion a few miles behind as they could tell that it came from Gildarts' battle with Bluenote.
"Gildarts….he will win, right?" asked Lucy as Cana scoffed.
"that old oaf may be a pain in the ass at some point" said Cana before smiling a bit. "but when it comes with fighting for our family. He can get the job done"
Lucy looks at Cana and smiled, knowing how she believes in her father that he will win.
"just how farther the camp is?" asked Charla as she and Lily are carrying Wendy and Makarov, both unconscious and in need of rest.
"probably a few more miles" said Cana, knowing that Gildarts had run to catch Bluenote in the action. "let's keep on going if we want to get there"
Lucy, Charla, and Lily nodded as the group keeps on moving.
"it's strange" said Lucy as Cana looks at her because of her statement.
"what is?" asked Cana to Lucy, wanting to know what she thinks is strange.
"well, Grimoire Heart has the 7 kins, right?" said Lucy as Cana nodded. "that guy from before is one of them, then Capricorn, I can tell Gray and Erza might have face one themselves, with Natsu along."
"what are you getting to?" asked Lily.
"well, it's strange that we haven't meet the rest" said Lucy. "we only so far know that there are only 2 of the 7 kins left"
"and?" asked Charla, not getting where Lucy is going to.
"I haven't heard that loud echoing roar again" said Lucy, mentioning about Natsu's demonic roar that they had no idea came from him. "if it's one of the Grimoire Heart's 7 kins and we haven't heard it anymore, does that mean the person is done by one of our own?"
"probably" said Cana. "either Erza, Gray, hell even my old man might have encountered the guy and beat the hell out of him"
"that's a highly expected result" said Lily with a nod.
"let's just hope that it is" said Charla, hoping that they won't face another member of Grimoire Heart's Seven Kins.
A few moments of walking later, Lucy and the others arrived at the base camp where Erza and the others remained at while Meredy is gone from sight for some reason.
"Lu-chan! You're all safe!" Levy exclaimed in joy to see them back
"what happened here?" asked Cana as Lisanna went to help her.
"Grimoire Heart attacked us" said Lisanna before frowning as she looks at her elder sister. "Mira-nee couldn't win"
"Mira-san" muttered Lucy with a sad frown.
"but all that matters now, is that we are together" said Erza while taking a few steps towards the group. "if we band together, we can defeat any opponent"
"right about that" said Charla with a nod before she heard a noise from Wendy as the young girl is slowly waking up. Everyone got settled down as they patch up their wounds.
Erza helps Cana as she patches up her right arm before she heard some footsteps coming near the camp.
"who is there?!" exclaimed Erza as she stands up and wielded a sword in her grasp.
"relax, it's us" said a voice as Bickslow and Freed came into view, both members of the Raijinshuu carrying Evergreen and Elfman, both looking to be knocked out and wounded.
"Freed!?" said Lisanna in surprise.
"Bickslow!?" added Levy.
"you guys must've come back with Gildarts, right?" said Lucy as Freed nodded before he and Bickslow went to set down Evergreen and Elfman.
"how is the situation?" asked Freed.
"Gildarts is fighting one of the Grimoire Heart's 7 Kins" said Lucy before they heard a loud explosion from the distance as they look up and sees a man flying in the air before falling out of the island then into the ocean. "or rather, he defeated one of the Grimoire Heart's 7 kins"
"this would mean that nearly three of them are gone, right?" asked Levy thinking that the defeated members of Grimoire Heart are Meredy, Bluenote, Capricorn.
"make that six" said Freed as he looks to the side for a moment. "when me and Bickslow found Elfman and Ever, we also found the body of a man whose organs and blood are all gone"
"w-what?" said Erza, her face horrifying to imagine the image.
"we also fought against some fat white guy named Hikaru or something, but not only that, but we also found another one whose entire left side is gone and he's also dead" added Bickslow before shaking his head. "I tell ya, the scene was so gruesome, I nearly puked just seeing the dead guy"
"who could've…" said Lucy as she shakes her head to get the image out of her mind.
"by the way, where's Natsu? is he after the remaining members?" asked Freed as Erza shakes her head.
"no, he's resting" said Erza as she turns to look at where Natsu is resting but what she only sees is an empty bed. "w-what?!"
"wait a minute! He was resting here just a minute ago!" said Lisanna in surprise to see Natsu gone from his bed.
"since when did he leave?" asked Levy as no one heard or even see Natsu waking up.
"just where could he have gone to!?" said Erza as she looks around before she looks into the forest of the distance.
Somewhere near the fallen Tenrou Tree, Azuma's back faces towards us before a black demonic claw pierced through his back with blood spurting out everywhere.
"s-such power.." spoke out Azuma before blood spills out of his mouth and the demonic claw pulls out of his chest and from his back. Azuma fell to his knees before to the ground as his now lifeless eyes stared at the pebble filled ground.
Blood drips down from the demonic claws as thunder rang and lightning strikes down everywhere to illuminate a figure whose body is not that of a human. A glowing red eye appeared upon the shadow of a monster as it growls while having a monstrous mouth.
"Grimoire….Heart" growled the figure as vaporing cold air seeps out of its mouth.
