In the realm of Natsu's mind, the salmon haired mage is face to face with his Dragon Father Igneel who pulled him out of the water filled with voices.
"Natsu, you have to overcome your past and move on" said Igneel to Natsu "your sins were never sins to begin with"
"i….i let my own son die…I killed many already…" muttered Natsu while looking down to his right hand. "I let myself succumb to the darkness so many times…..i felt as if my soul is letting itself taint itself in pure darkness"
"that is true, you have let yourself fall into darkness too many times, but you did so for a greater good" said Igneel before he turns to the side, a large portal appearing and showed a memory of Natsu in the past.
Natsu looks at the portal as he sees himself standing in a burning village where its villagers were screaming in pain while their skins had black swirling marks spreading to their whole body.
"you took on the responsibility and the sins to save them from becoming one with the darkness" said Igneel to Natsu. "with your actions, Natsu. you prevented what could've been a coming chaos upon Lingyue"
Natsu looks at the portal to see himself seeing some people turning rampant to others.
"please! Kill me, Daimou-san! I don't want to hurt my family!" "Daimou-san, please! Before it's too late!" "Daimou-san!"
Natsu hears screaming voices as he looks away, the man's past self draws out Chitetsu as he started cutting down the people, killing them all one by one while he is crying in tears.
"that past….i shouldn't killed them….there could've been another way" muttered Natsu while clenching his fists hard.
"you did what you could. They wanted to die not by the ones who they love, but by the one who they put their trust upon" said Igneel before reaching out his other hand and pointed the tip of a single claw on Natsu's chest. "and that one person they trust is you, Natsu. you ended their misery with morality"
"i….i could've.." muttered Natsu in tears as he placed his hand on his face while clenching it. "…if I had the power…"
"thank you….daimou-san" a voice echoed out of the portal as Natsu's eyes widen before he turns to see the portal where it showed a dying man holding the body of a dead woman by his side. "thank you….i can be with her to our parting"
"Daimou-san, thank you" "I can rest in peace now" "may you live with a happy family, Daimou-san" Natsu started to hear more echoes of voices from the portal as he sees the people he cut down, thanking him with happy smiles upon their last breath.
"do not believe that darkness will always taint you, Natsu. fate has written your role in life, but you must not let it control the way you live" said Igneel as Natsu's tears were endlessly dripping down his eyes in hearing the voices of the villagers. "let your life be as you want it to be.." Igneel slowly sets his hand down as near Natsu is a small Sakura tree that has a small round golden fruit growing upon it. "remember that, Natsu"
Natsu looks at the golden fruit before he nodded and slowly reach his hand to hold it.
The darkness around Natsu disappeared and replaced with light as it flash brightly.
Within the temple, Kiara looks at Natsu as the man's body is cracking up, blood pooling out below him before it stopped.
Kiara blinks her eyes twice and squealed while tilting her head as she soon sees the blood getting sucked back into Natsu's body as the cracks on his body started to disappear.
"seems he has overcome his past" said Chitetsu as a black snake aura appears and slithers behind the cursed katana.
The chains around Natsu's body breaks apart and crumbles to dust before the demonic limbs of the man's body revert to human limbs. Natsu stands up as the demonic mask on his face cracks before shattering into pieces, revealing Natsu's face that has red dragon scales covering the sides, the man's eyes are reptilian and glowing yellow.
Outside the temple, Wendy and the others are still facing their fears as they had not been able to overcome them since they started.
"nooo! I don't like Sour Plums!" screamed Wendy as she runs away from the flying Sour Plums before a powerful gust blew them away into smoke.
The fears of Gildarts, Charla, and Lily were also too blown away into smoke as everyone turns and sees Natsu coming out of the Temple's door with Kiara on his shoulder. The salmon haired mage wearing the same clothings that he wear before coming to Lingyue by the portal.
"Natsu/-san!" said everyone as they all went to him.
"no time for reunion meeting or anything" said Natsu before he hands out the small glowing sake bottle to Lily. "take this to Tenko and tell Yuuko to prepare for the ritual, the Lingyue moon is coming"
"the what?" said Gildarts before the Genju comes near the group.
Natsu and Wendy hears their soft voices as the Genju bowed to them once.
"what did they say?" asked Charla to the two Dragon Slayers, as they're the only ones who can hear the small voices of the Genju.
"they will come to help on the time of the moon comes?" said Wendy, relaying what the Genju said but she looks confused.
"we need to go to Light Island, I can sense Gojin's fiery rage there" said Natsu as he started to do several hand signs.
"Gojin? The Fire General? Why is he on Light Island?" said Lily before Natsu slaps his hands together and Draco of the North Sky's Celestial Gem appeared floating in front of him.
"I'll explain while we are on our way" said Natsu as he grabs the gem and holds it tight in his right hand's grasp, Draco's Celestial Gem glows before it shines in Natsu's grasp. "Get the fruit to Tenko, hurry"
"I got it" said Lily before he spreads his wings and flies up.
"hang on tight you three" said Natsu as the ground bellows them shatters and breaks before Draco rises out and flew right out of the crevice then pass Lily who got surprised.
"hey, Natsu! mind starting on what the hell are you talking about before?! Lingyue Moon!? What is that?!" said Gildarts while hanging onto Draco's back scales along with Wendy, and Charla.
"the time of that Yamata no Orochi will come out of its seal" said Natsu as his eyes glow yellow while turning reptilian.
