At the moment, Jellal was giving chase to the mysterious cloaked figure, but he got stopped by Doranbolt.
Doranbolt and Jellal were in a stand off against another as they stood within the crowd in the arena foyer.
"you aren't Mystogan" said Doranbolt with a stern look. "who are you?"
'The one responsible for the magic presence we've been sensing is right in front of me.' Thought Jellal as he looks at the disappearing cloaked figure off the distance before to Doranbolt. 'But this person won't let me pass.'
"Talk!" Doranbolt demanded. "Just who are you?"
'Maybe if I knock him out I can…no, I can't. Right now I'm representing Fairy Tail as Mystogan. I can't attack council members at will. It would only cause more trouble for them, but I have to find a way out of this situation.' Jellal thought in a frantic.
"Doranbolt?!" Lahar called, a squad of rune knights at his back, as he walked towards the pair. "What's going on here?"
'Dammit' Jellal cursed internally upon noticing Doranbolt's comrade. 'Lahar.'
"I know that you aren't Mystogan." Doranbolt said to Jellal, completely ignoring Lahar. "I'll ask you one last time. Who are you?"
Lahar watched in both confusion and trepidation at the confrontation happening in front of him.
Jellal looked at Doranbolt one last time before attempting to walk past the man. "I'm sorry, but I'm in a hurry."
"Hold it." Doranbolt ordered, grabbing the disguised wizard's shoulder. "We're not done talking."
"Doranbolt, what is the meaning of this?" Lahar asked walking towards him.
"Mystogan isn't on Earthland. There's no way you could be him." Doranbolt said to Jellal.
"I am Mystogan." Jellal declared, his voice almost shaking with the fear that he would be exposed. Having enough Doranbolt quickly shuffled his hand to Jellal's head, grabbing his hood.
"Wait!" Jellal exclaimed.
"Enough lies! Who are you?!" Doranbolt interrogated as he removed Jellal's hood.
Time seemed to slow down as Jellal's face became visible to the gathered Rune Knights.
"Jellal?!" Lahar shouted.
"I knew it." Doranbolt said with a serious look
Before any orders could come out of Lahar's mouth, a black ball came falling from above and to the floor and exploded into large amount of smoke.
"w-what is this!?" exclaimed Doranbolt as the soldiers with him and some nearby passing by crowds got surprised by the smoke.
Jellal looks at the smoke before Enra appeared behind the man and placed a hand to his shoulder.
"don't talk" said Enra in a small voice before he and Jellal disappeared in an instant
The smoke soon dissipated before revealing Jellal who had disappeared with Enra.
"he's gone!?" exclaimed Doranbolt while looking around.
"survey the area!" ordered Lahar as his soldiers marched off. "he couldn't have gone far!"
Doranbolt looks around before he runs to a path where he will try to search for Jellal.
While the Magic Council officials were trying to look for Jellal, there were two people nearby who had saw the man and the whole scene.
It was Kagura and Millianna, both having questioning and surprised faces.
"J-Jellal…." Muttered Kagura with a racing heart that has anger and hatred bubbling up.
"Jellal!" Millianna snarled with anger as she was about to go after the man like the magic council soldiers but Kagura grabbed her arm; halting her advance. Millianna turned around, surprise in her eyes as she looked at the downed swordswoman.
"no…don't" said Kagura to Millianna
"But he was right there! We can!" Millianna shouted
"No." Kagura said as she let go of Millianna's arm and stood up. "we shouldn't"
"but Kagura…" Millianna began as Kagura gave her a look that ended the conversation. "o-ok"
Kagura started walking away as Millianna followed behind.
While they walk, Kagura's mind races to why she saw Jellal escaping with the help of Enra who she knows is a Celestial Spirit who is an ally to her teacher, Natsu.
"I had no idea Fairy Tail was giving him safe harbor." Thought Kagura with a serious face 'why? Why did teacher….."
Kagura and Millianna left the area as both had to put away their vengeance and justice for another time.
Meanwhile at the area of where Ultear and Meredy are at, both mages were sitting by a café as they were waiting for Jellal to come back from the GMG.
"Jellal sure is late" said Meredy while eating a sandwich. "he must've gotten held up by Erza and the others"
"I can imagine that" added Ultear before sighing. "that man and his stupid feelings sometimes"
While the two conversed, Jellal appeared with Enra in front of the two as the Monkey King spirit soon disappeared in a flash.
"Jellal!?" said Meredy in surprise to the man's sudden appearance.
"how did you?!" said Ultear with a nearly jaw dropped face.
"I can explain later" said Jellal before putting on his hooded mask. "we got to go"
Not understanding the situation, Ultear and Meredy just followed along as the group left the area.
The day soon turned into night as we turn our attention to an underside of a bridge where Makarov with Laxus are at. Both grandfather and grandson sitting by.
Makarov sat while looking to the night sky while Laxus is behind him while having his arms crossed.
"Gramps, what's Lumen Histoire?" asked Laxus to his grandfather
"You heard from Ivan?" said Makarov as Laxus nodded
"It seems like he wanted it pretty badly." Explained Laxus
"Good grief, that brat..." said Makarov before sighing
"He called it Fairy Tail's darkness or something like that." Added Laxus while looking down at the old man whose face shows that he is in deep thought.
"It is not darkness." A third voice intervenes, and they both look up in shock.
"First!" Makarov exclaims, while Laxus just widens his eyes slightly.
"Lumen Histoire. It is our guild's 'light'." Explained Mavis
"First, you shouldn't...!" Makarov begins, but Mavis interrupts him.
"I know. This is something only those who become the master of the guid can know. Do you understand, Laxus?" asked Mavis to Laxus who shrugs his shoulders
"If it's something weird then I won't dig into it." Replied Laxus
"Thank you for that." Said Mavis before she looks to the night sky. "But, where did Ivan get that information from?"
"Most likely from Purehito." Stated Makarov, remembering the turncoated former member of Grimoire Heart.
"Hmm. That's very possible." Said Mavis while looking down in guilt. "I never thought that Purehito would have fallen into darkness... My foolish judgement for selecting him caused this information to leak.
"Not at all. First, it's not your fault." Stated Makarov
"It is my fault." Said Mavis before starting to tear up "I..i-i..."
Her tears caused the two family member to panic as Mavis started to cry slowly.
"I shouldn't be crying..." whimpered Mavis in tears "I'm not crying!"
"LAXUS! COMFORT HER! HURRY!" exclaimed Makarov
"she's a ghost! How the heck am I supposed to do that?!" shouted Laxus as how does one calm down a dead ghost.
moments later at the Honeybone inn, Fairy Tail is in a big celebration as their two team are in the biggest spot for winning the GMG.
"CHEEEEEERS!" The Fairy Tail guild parties in their lodge as today was a great day for them
"Today felt great!" "yeah!" "we're going to win!" everyone cheered as they partied hard
"This isn't our guild so please don't break things!" exclaimed Lucy while fretting over everyone.
"Gray-sama, you were great today too!" cheered Juvia
"But I didn't do anything." Said Gray while sweatdropping.
"you sure you two are alright?" asked Lucy to Erza and Elfman, both having recovered from their battle and events of today and the previous day.
"yeah, thanks to Genbu's healing potion" said Erza with a smile. "my body is back in tip top form"
"his potion works like a man!" said Elfman while flexing his muscle
"where did Mystogan-san go?" asked Haruka while looking around for the masked man.
"did he go to sleep already?" added Haruo as Mystogan is gone for the day.
"seems so" replied Ikaruga while carrying Ikki who is sucking on a baby bottle that is hold by the mother. "I believe we will see him again tomorrow"
meanwhile at a garden area, Jellal with Ultear and Meredy were hiding in the shadows when Enra appeared by their side.
"Enra?" said Jellal to the monkey king spirit who shushes him and then motions them three to follow to which the group did.
"we found the source of the dark presence" stated Enra while leading the group to an alley.
"where is it?" asked Meredy with a raised eyebrow.
"it's not an it. It's actually a her" explain Enra as this made Jellal have a curious look.
"a her?" asked Jellal as Enra leads them deeper into the alleyway where it is nearby a waterway and Seiocho is there with the cloaked figure who Jellal tried to catch.
Crime Sorciere looks at the cloaked figure who reaches a left feminine hand out the cloak and then pulls down the hood to reveal Lucy who was in tears.
"L-Lucy!?" said Jellal as he with Ultear and Meredy looks in shock.
At Mercurius, Arcadios stands within the hallway where he soon turns around to meet someone who came up to him.
"good, you made it" said Arcadios with a smile as he is face to face with Yukino who wears a capital soldier uniform.
"Sergeant Yukino Agria, reporting for duty. Captain Arcadios" said Yukino while saluting to the captain knight
