A week later after the GMG and the special Celestial Spirit Banquet in the Celestial Spirit world that costed everyone 3 months of the human world. We turn our attention to Fairy Tail where everyone is at their usual place in the daily day and doing their usual activities.
At one of the many tables in the guild halls, Lucy sat there with Erza, Gray, Juvia, Wendy, Charla, and Kiara who is curled up as a ball while sleeping on Gray's head. The group in conversation after the whole Celestial Spirit world trial.
"I do not want to go to the Celestial Spirit world, ever again" said Erza with an annoyed voice and face as three months of their time gone so fast can make anyone go angry.
"that Loke..just wait till I get to punch him in the face" growled Gray angrily with a tick mark on his forehead.
"w-well, it was our punishment. I think it was well deserved" said Wendy with an awkward smile.
"oh please, we lost three months before the games and another three months after the games." Said Charla while holding her cup of Darjeeling Tea. "if it's karma that's alright, but we got another 3 months gone along with the other guilds!"
"Juvia kinda agrees…" said Juvia while Lucy awkwardly smiles and chuckles a bit.
"putting the matter aside…" stated Erza in getting to change the topic of their conversation while getting the other's attention. "..we have no plans for today nor for a job"
"that's a given" said Gray while sighing as he leans back against the seat, Kiara still sleeping on his head. "the jobs are mostly small ones left, the big ones got taken by the others"
After the GMG and the whole 3 months being gone, things in Fairy Tail and the other guilds been good to the point that they were getting lots of jobs from the whole citizens of Fiore. Everyone been steadily finishing up the jobs to the point that the only ones left are small jobs.
"well, we can take care of Ikki-chan…" said Wendy as there is still the permanent open job for taking care of Natsu's family when the man's away and he is away at this moment.
"yeah, I'm not going to be changing diapers" stated Lucy with a sigh. "the last time I did it, I nearly fainted from the horrible smell"
"just what does that man feed his own child?" added Charla as she too experienced the horrible smell of Baby diapers.
"and Mira with Lisanna already taken the job" said Gray as he glanced at the bar where Mira is, the Majin doing some bar maid servicing while having Ikki strapped to her back, Natsu's youngest son is sleeping while the white haired woman works.
"there's literally nothing for us to do" said Erza while leaning her cheeks against her right hand as she looks bored.
"guess this is an off relaxing day for us, huh?" said Lucy with a sigh.
"hey Erza!" Max hollered to the Scarlet Knight who turns to look at the sand mage. "you got two visitors!"
"me?" said Erza as the others looks at her confused face
A few seconds later, Erza is greeting by Kagura, Millianna, and Happy, the three having to come to visit the Fairy Tail Guild
"Millianna! Kagura! And Happy too!" said Erza in greeting the Mermaid Heel's Swordswoman and the cat crazed woman. "been a while!"
"yes" replied Kagura with a small smile and nodded.
"feeling strong, Er-chan!?" said Millianna with her usual catchphrase.
"aye sir!" added Happy with a cheer.
"what brings you all to Fairy Tail?" asked Erza to the Mermaid Heel group.
"Milianna wanted to see you and your guild's other felines…" said Kagura in reply as she with Erza sees Milianna running off to grab Charla and Lily who was nearby and started hugging them tight before continuing. "..and I was on plan to visit Teacher"
"Teacher? Oh you mean, Natsu" said Erza in remembering that Kagura is Natsu's disciple. "but I'm sorry to say that Natsu is at the Magic Council with Ikaruga, they won't be back till the weekend."
"i-I see" said Kagura with a small disappointed frown before she felt two bumps from behind and small arms hugging her legs tight. She looks down and was met with the happy faces of Haruka and Haruo.
"Kagura-neechan!" the two squealed to Kagura who smiled before she kneels and got a hug from the two. "you came to see us!?"
"yes, and your father" replied Kagura with a smile before she turns to see Gajeel who looks tired as hell.
"w-wait!...right! there!...you brats!" Gajeel huffed out as he soon fell to the floor, all sweated up. "damnit!"
"what's wrong with him?" asked Erza as Gajeel was asked by Natsu and Ikaruga to be Haruka and Haruo's babysitters while they were away.
"we played games!" replied Haruka with a smile.
"for 3 hours!" added Haruo while grinning.
'so that's why, huh?' thought Erza and nearby guild members as the twins are energetic and very fast that they couldn't even keep up with their stamina.
"anyway, since I'm here. I might as well see how you two are doing with your magic" said Kagura with a smile to the twins. "I've heard from your father back when we met at Crocus that you two became really strong.
"we did!" replied Haruka and Haruo while grinning.
Going to the Guild's open backyard, Kagura and Erza with Lucy, Gray, Juvia, Wendy, Millianna, Happy, Charla, and Lily, the 8 extra people joining to the two swordswomen as to view from the sidelines.
"I go first~!" said Haruka as she jumped and exploded into pink smoke before she came out as Lucy, in the right size and form. "Ta~da!"
"oh! She got her in the right size this time" said Gray with a smile in seeing that Haruka perfected her transformation magic.
"she's now a very capable mage" added Juvia while clapping her hands a few times with Wendy, the two congratulating Haruka's magic advancement.
"it's kinda perfect!" said Lucy as she got near Haruka and sees how the young girl transformed into her with the perfect image in every aspect. "it's like I'm seeing into a mirror!"
"hehehehe!" chuckles Haruka as she transformed back to her real form that causes some pink smoke to fly everywhere. "I already mastered my Transformation magic!"
"her transformation magic is really good" said Erza as Kagura nodded in agreement.
"so good that I couldn't tell her without seeing her Chi" stated Kagura as her statement piqued Erza's curiosity.
"my turn! My turn!" exclaimed Haruo as he summoned a small silver dagger in his grasp. The dagger has a small blade but a long handle.
"hey! where did you get that!?" said Lucy, thinking that Haruo took a dagger and kept it from Natsu without permission. "that's dangerous, you know!"
"it's okay! Papa gave it to me!" replied Haruo with a grin before he wielded the dagger's long handle with both hands. the dagger glows red before igniting in flames and became a flaming katana.
"amazing! He turned the small dagger into a flaming sword!" said Lily in amazement to see Haruo's magic capability while getting squished in Millianna's tight hug. "that takes hard magic concentration"
"just like twins, huh?" added Charla while getting squished in the hug with the black cat before she snapped at Millianna. "and let us go! you're squishing us too much!"
Haruo spins the flaming katana around before he got into a stance and swung the flaming weapon.
"how's that!?" said Haruo with a grin as Kagura nodded with a smile, seeming proud. Haruo chuckles before a spark of the flames caught his right sleeve on fire. "aaaahhh!"
"he's on Fire!" exclaimed Lucy as Gray and Juvia were about to put the fire out with their magic when Kagura beat them to it.
"Ame Goi" chanted Kagura as she did some hand signs before spewing out streams of water at the flames from her mouth and died it down.
"aaahh" Haruo let out a sigh of relief as he didn't get burned too much from the flames.
"I think it'd be best if you put down the flames before you get yourself hurt" said Kagura as she takes away Haruo's dagger and looks at it. She checks the blade before giving it back to Haruo. "listen, Haruo. Just because you have the capability to use Fire magic better than your sister, doesn't mean that you should overuse it in any situation. Your body isn't fireproof like your father, you need to train more before you can use your flames, do you understand?"
"yes" said Haruo with a frown as he made his dagger go away in sparkles.
"good" said Kagura before patting his forehead. "but you still have a very great capability in using your requip magic, I'm sure you can be a very strong mage who can surpass me or even Erza"
"you think so!?" said Haruo as Kagura nodded.
"I know so" replied Kagura with a smile as Haruo grins happily while she stands up straight before turning to look at Erza who got nearby.
"that was amazing, you can use water chi like that" said Erza as Kagura shakes her head.
"I can only perform several small techniques like Ame Goi. I'm still an amateur compared to Lingyue's 8 Generals" replied Kagura as she looks at her right hand. "I still need training."
"but still, you can use such an amazing technique." Added Juvia, knowing how to use the same technique like Kagura just did "Even for Juvia, it took Juvia a week in understanding the fundamental on using Chi"
"speaking of Chi" said Lucy as she rubs her chin before looking at Kagura then Erza then to Juvia. "you three seem to awfully know how to use Chi like Natsu and Ikaruga."
"I was trained by Teacher in both swordsmanship and Chi. He taught me everything that he knows of the two" replied Kagura to Lucy's statement.
"Juvia just learned the techniques from Mizuki-san" stated Juvia with a slightly embarrassed face. "for Juvia, Juvia still an amateur in using the water techniques that Juvia learns from Mizuki-san"
"I just know how to use it because I got a mind instruction from Enra and Genbu" said Erza before she rubs her chins. "now that I think about it, Natsu never taught me how to even use Chi when I trained under him. Yet I know how to use it thanks to them."
"he didn't? but you performed it during your fight against Minerva" said Kagura, remembering how Erza performed a Lingyue Chi Technique that heals her wounds. "that was an advanced level technique too."
"I don't really know, I just saw an image and did it" replied Erza with a confused face. "but now, I can't remember how to use it. It's like I can use it once, but I can't remember how to perform it."
"seems that you all need my help~!" said Mavis who appeared out of nowhere as the spirit surprised the Fairy Tail members but not Kagura, Millianna, and Happy who couldn't see her.
"First Master!?" exclaimed Wendy in surprise.
"you scared the hell out of us!" added Gray as even Kiara who was sleeping peacefully on his head, woke up in a fright and jumps away, straight to Haruka's head where she landed on.
"sorry~! Sorry~! I was just walking around when I heard your conversation!" said Mavis with a happy smile.
"who are you guys talking to?" asked Millianna to Gray and the others with a confused face.
"Aye! You guys are talking to a ghost?" said Happy.
"s-something like that" replied Lily.
"is she the spirit that Teacher once told me of?" asked Kagura as her eyes are glowing violet purple. Her statement getting the others surprised.
"wait what? you can see her?" asked Lucy to Kagura who nodded.
"not her full form however" stated Kagura as in her sight of view, she only sees a white aura that outlined Mavis' body form. "I can see her aura with my Chi and hear her voice by focusing some of my chi to my hearing senses."
"that's amazing!" said Mavis with a surprised face to Kagura. "this is the first time that a non- Fairy Tail member can see or hear me!"
"it's simple to meet a ghost if you learn how to use Chi right" replied Kagura while crossing her arms.
"just what can you do with Chi?" asked Wendy before Mavis with Kagura stands in front of a black board while Erza and the others stand and watch.
"where did that came from?" asked Gray with a sweatdrop.
"w-who knows?" replied Juvia with an awkward voice.
"in Lingyue, Chi is used daily and daily means in everything that they do" stated Kagura as she pointed to the black board that has a drawing of a human man with tree root veins spreading all over his body. "it can enhance one's strength, speed, and senses. It depends on how one trains their body in unlocking their Chi's potentials."
"so it's like magic?" said Lucy as Kagura nodded.
"similar in many ways but different in one perspective" replied Kagura as she holds both her right hand and left hand up where water and fire formed upon her palms. "Magic can be in a variety amount of number for a single mage, but Chi it only has a limit to 8 elements."
"a limit?" said Erza with a curious face.
"in history, there are only recorded of 8 chi that are found within a human's body" stated Mavis as she pointed to several drawings of 8 elements that started with lightning and ends with darkness. "Chi are only in 8 varieties of Elements, and they are Lightning, Light, Fire, Wind, Earth, Wood, Water, and Darkness. A person from Lingyue can either have one to four types of Chi of the 8 elements, no more than that."
"so that means, Juvia can use Water Chi Techniques because Juvia's Chi is water?" said Juvia as Kagura nodded while her eyes still glows violet, the purple haired swordswoman seeing everyone's chi that are in a variety of colors.
"you all seem to have very unique Chi combinations" said Kagura while cupping her chin.
"say, can you teach us how to see our own Chi?" asked Lucy with a curious face. "I'm kinda interested in learning Chi."
"me too" added Gray as everyone in the group is interested.
"I'm not that good in teaching like Teacher…" said Kagura while scratching her chin with an awkward look. "….but I give it my best"
"alright!" everyone cheered before they all sat down in meditation like poses.
"first off, you must be able to sense your own Chi within and summon it to coat your body" said Kagura as she sat in front of the group, doing the same meditation pose before she performed a hand sign which is the Bird hand seal. "now make this hand sign and focus all your senses to your stomach. That's where most of your chi are formed."
"this?" said Lucy as she made the hand sign before closing her eyes and focused all her senses to her stomach as instructed. Everyone did the same and one by one, everyone's body started to glow in several different coloured auras.
"good, you all did very well" said Kagura before sweatdropping to Millianna and Happy, both are asleep and now drooling. "m-most of you that is"
"what's next?" asked Gray as he looks at his body that just looks normal to his eyes but for Kagura's glowing violet eyes, she sees the man's chi aura.
"now, you all be learning on how to see your own Chi and others" said Kagura as she performed the Ram hand Seal. "focus your sight to your hands in this hand sign and just focus really hard till you see your own aura."
"focus really hard" said Erza as she looks at her hand sign really hard with her eyes and in just a passing second, she sees her hands covered in a glowing red aura. "this is?"
Everyone did the same as they now can see their own aura.
"I'm glowing!" said Charla as she sees her aura is a light green color.
"me too!" added Lily as his aura is blackish brown.
"to your eyes that is" said Kagura with a smile as she is impressed with how fast the group is able to learn. "with more practice, you can see other's chi normally without performing the hand signs."
"seeing your own aura is kinda weird, don't you think?" asked Gray who looks at his aura glowing hands as his aura is in the colour of baby blue.
"yeah" added Lucy in agreement as to see her white aura. "my aura is just glowing white."
"that would mean your chi is that of Light" said Kagura in explanation. "people are sometimes born with only one or two chi elements, but some of you are born with three or four."
"really? Who?" asked Wendy, her aura is a blueish green colour.
"yours, Erza, and the black cat" replied Kagura as she looks at the three in name.
"me?" asked Lily with a curious face.
"yes, if one looks carefully at one's own aura, you can see that your aura has a mixture of two colors or more" said Kagura while looking at Wendy's aura with her glowing eyes. "at first look, her aura seems to be a mixture of blue and green auras which represents water and wind, but if you look closer you can see a bit of white mixed in it, referring to Light. This means that Wendy's aura is a mix of three different Chi elements."
"that's amazing, Wendy!" said Lucy while Wendy blushes a bit in embarrassment.
"what of mine? Mine only looks red to my eyes" said Erza as her aura is just red in color of her view's perspective.
"yes, but if you look closer you can see a hint of white and brown in it. Which means that you have the element Chi of Fire, Light, and Wood with you" replied Kagura to Erza. "and I can tell that the Wood Element is how you were able to perform that healing technique before."
"I see" said Erza while cupping her chin. "learning how to use my chi can help during battle…"
"what of mine?" asked Lily, wanting to know his Chi's three elements.
"Wood, Darkness, and Water. You have a rather unique Chi Combinations" said Kagura as Lily hummed with an interested face to his paws.
"us! Us! What are our Chi!?" asked Haruka and Haruo in unison while raising their hands, the twin's auras are glowing golden in color.
"you two have all elements" replied Kagura. "don't you remember what I said before? Ikaruga-san has all Chi Elements, that would be the same for the two of you and Ikki-kun."
"awesome!" cheered Haruka and Haruo in unison.
"what about us?" asked Gray as he, Juvia, and Charla haven't heard of what their Chi elements are.
"Water and Wind, Water, Light and Wind" replied Kagura one by one to the three.
"Juvia guess that Juvia is full water in all aspect" said Juvia with a smile.
"Water and Wind, huh?" said Gray while rubbing his chin. "wonder why I got those two elements?"
"I guess I got some elements like yours, Wendy" said Charla as her two Chi Elements are the same with Wendy's.
Wendy nodded with a smile as she is happy to know her similarity with her feline companion.
"that looks fun" said Gajeel who came into the scene, the Iron Dragon Slayer is glowing in a brownish dark black colour. "tell me what my element is."
"you were listening?" said Lily to Gajeel who somehow learned the same Chi Unleashing Technique as they did.
"I got sharp hearing remember?" said Gajeel with a grin before he looks at Kagura who eyed him.
"that's rare for someone to have four elements" said Kagura while looking at Gajeel as her words got the others' attention.
"four? You mean Gajeel-kun got four elements?" asked Juvia as Kagura nodded while checking Gajeel's aura.
"Wood, Earth, Darkness, and also Water…this is a very rare encounter to meet someone like you" said Kagura in checking Gajeel's aura.
"hear that, stripper!? I got four Chi elements with me!" said Gajeel with a gloating face to Gray.
"so what!?" retorted Gray as he and Gajeel started butting heads.
"you guys…" Lucy sighs before Erza knocks their heads to get them to stop.
"going back to the matter with Gajeel" said Erza while leaving Gajeel and Gray knocked out on the ground with steaming heads. The scarlet knight sat down and faced Kagura. "you said that Gajeel's aura is rare? Why?"
"it is said that people who have more than 4 types of Chi are called 'Unlimit' which means they have a unique blood inheritance, but there are the few who have all 8 Chi elements like Ikaruga-san and her children. They're called 'Over' meaning that they are the unique type of people" Kagura explained to Erza with a specific tone in talking. "and there also people called 'Counter' like myself. People who have Chi Elements of opposing characteristics."
"opposing?" said Wendy as Kagura nodded.
"people who have countering elements with one another" stated Kagura while pointing a finger up. "meaning that two elements that are against each other, like my Fire Element and Water Element. Both can take each other out, right?"
"now that you mention it" said Lucy as she started thinking. "water puts out Fire, Fire takes out wood, and so on. So every element has a weakness element than itself, huh?"
"that's right" replied Kagura with a nod. "every element has a weakness to one another, but there are also those who are support to each other like Fire and Wind. Fire grows bigger when Wind is mixed with it, Wood becomes stronger with water, and so on. I've also heard of people with two Chi Elements that creates a new element like yourself, Fullbuster"
"m-me?" said Gray while sitting up straight after Erza's beating.
"your Wind and Water elements are corresponding elements that can create the ice element" said Kagura as everyone sees her imagination bubble that showed Water turning to ice because of Wind. "just like how natural things happens in life, the same could be said with Chi. Knowing the perfect combination between two or more Chi elements, can create a new element."
"that's fascinating!" said Levy as she, Cana, Lisanna, Elfman, Jet, and Droy came into the scene. "can we join!?"
"looks like everyone is interested in learning Chi today" said Lucy with a sighing smile.
Everyone began to learn under Kagura of how to unlock their Chi and use it as it was like a teaching lesson for students.
"be cautious, you have to memorize these 12 hand seals correctly" said Kagura as she stood in front of a blackboard that showed 12 different hand seals. "just mis-forming one hand seal in a technique can bring dangerous consequences to oneself."
"I think I'm getting the hang of this" said Lucy as she performed random hand seals one by one.
"wait! I haven't told you that it has to be in specific order!" exclaimed Kagura before a bright explosion occurred upon Lucy as smoke flies around her.
"a-ah…ah….i see" said Lucy as her body is all smoked up to her head before she fell knocked out.
"Juvia guesses this is why each technique needs a specific order of hand seals, huh?" said Juvia as Lucy is knocked out for the rest of the lesson.
"well, when unleashing a technique with your Chi. There are three conditions and they are; performing the right hand seals, knowing the specific order, and lastly how much Chi you want to unleash" stated Kagura while sweatdropping to see Lucy getting taken away to the infirmary by Warren and Max on a stretcher. "as you can see what happened to her…she used too much Chi in her random formed technique."
"so making the right hand seals, in a specific order, and how much chi you wants?" said Gray as Kagura nodded.
"for example" said Kagura as she performed serpent, ram, monkey, Boar, Horse, and Tiger hand signs and then took a deep breath before unleashing a stream of blue flames into the air. Everyone wowed to see such a powerful flame as if it is Kagura's own magic. After finishing, Kagura huffs once before looking at everyone. "that was called Enryu Dan. It's a low leveled Fire technique but with the right amount of training, it can be a very devastating attack."
"I see" said Erza as the attack is the same as the one that melted her Flame Empress Armor back during the GMG. "you managed to make it so powerful that my armor couldn't even withstand it."
"it's all about Chi Control" replied Kagura.
"I want to try!" said Haruka and Haruo in unison as they started to perform the same hand seals as Kagura did.
"wait! Don't just perform it so casually!" said Kagura, but her voice reached the twin's ears too late as they formed the final hand seals before they took a deep breath and puffs out small fireballs into the air that just disappears in 10 seconds.
"eh? It didn't came out the same" said Haruka and Haruo nodded in agreement before the two get knocks on the head by Kagura.
"that's why I told you that practice is needed!" said Kagura in scolding the twins. "you two have great Chi capabilities, but you two haven't had the right amount of practice to use it! If you somehow managed to unleash the attack and it was too strong, you could've hurt someone or your own selves!"
"sorry!" said Haruka and Haruo while holding their knocked heads.
"at least, they're not hurt, Kagura. That is what matters the most" said Erza to Kagura who sighs.
"well, they will get a punishment if their father hears of this" stated Kagura as Haruka and Haruo rubs their knocked heads. "always rascals at this age"
Meanwhile at the Magic Council, at the Council's conference table where the Councilmen gather, they are all in a discussion meeting with Ikaruga who sat in front of them while Natsu stands beside her.
"as you may know, Lingyue is derived from being able to trade or any negotiations deal as sort" said Grand Doma to Ikaruga while reading the chart on the peace agreement between the two continents. "and that your nation has capability in releasing a hidden power like magic called Chi?"
"yes" replied Ikaruga with a simple voice and a simple smile.
"this is a very peculiar ability for the people of Lingyue" said Org while scratching his beard. "if such thing goes and come, this power might prove to be helpful for Ishgar."
"be advised that we will share our teachings of Chi to Fiore and everything we have to offer but know this" said Ikaruga as her face suddenly darkens. "if you are misusing Chi like a weapon, I can foretell that dangerous consequences will come to the entire continent."
"I see" replied Gran Doma as he looks back at the chart paper. "we will have further negotiations at a later time, this meeting is dismissed."
Moments later, Natsu with Ikaruga left the Council as they are heading back home.
"was it wise?" asked Ikaruga to her husband who hummed. "giving Lingyue's secret knowledge of using Chi within one's body."
"if it's to gain peace, it might be a small price to pay" replied Natsu. "even so, we should just offer them basic and small Chi Techniques that enhanced senses and strength, nothing else. With magic and chi, one can be overpowering to rule other with an iron fist."
"I see" said Ikaruga with a small smile before she hears thunder above and rain started to pour down from raining clouds above. "a rain has come."
"yeah" stated Natsu while holding up his right hand and a large paper umbrella appeared in his grasp, he opens the umbrella and holds Ikaruga close while covering both with the umbrella.
"thank you" said Ikaruga with a smile as Natsu nodded and the two went off to get home.
Nighttime, Natsu with Ikaruga are currently riding a train back to Magnolia as it was nearly a day's trip to get to the Council and another day to get back home.
Ikaruga is asleep while leaning close to Natsu who is looking out the window and the starry sky above. He watched the stars before he saw several stars disappear.
"that?" Natsu keened his eyes as he sees more stars disappearing into darkness. Natsu soon felt a cold sensation in his coat as he reaches in and takes out the Golden Celestial Gem that is glowing weakly.
Natsu looks at the Celestial Gem as 4 of its animal carvings had turned black and so did another one.
"what?" said Natsu as he looks at the dying gem before the stars above.
