TEAM ROCKET LAB FACILITY LOCATED IN THE KANTO REGION
The loud noise of the hole being blown through the solid wall sent guards running but they were too slow in their attempts to stop the boy and the Pokemon.
"Come on Pikachu!"
They took off into the night.
For too long both of them had been locked up and now that they had finally managed to escape they were never going back.
Three weeks later
Lance rubbed his eyes it had been an hour since he got out of his briefing. They had finally found out through their long investigation of what Team Rocket's secret experimental project was.
To especially Lance's horror it was a boy named Ash Ketchum who had been kidnapped when he was only five. He had been kept prisoner at a Team Rocket Facility and experimented on for years under the name Project AK1.
Three weeks ago he had managed to escape with a Pikachu he had befriended that had also been held prisoner and used as a test subject for years under the name P1.
As a Pokemon G Man, they were asking Lance to try to find Ash and Pikachu and bring them in for their safety. Because there was no doubt that Team Rocket agents were out looking for them.
But where should Lance even start looking? He smoothed out his map of the Kanto region.
The kid hadn't been in civilization in years so did he even go to a town or city he was probably scared.
Did he run off into the woods?
All he knew was Pallet Town his childhood home. He didn't know any other parts of the outside world.
He still had to be in the Kanto region he couldn't have left it.
Suddenly Lance got an idea.
A young kid scared with only a befriended Pokemon at his side.
He would try to go to the one place of the outside world he knew.
Home.
He looked to where Pallet Town was on the map. He would have to go west and eventually, he would make it into Pallet Town.
Lance jumped out of his chair he had to hurry.
Even if Ash made it on foot and without getting completely lost it he had to find him before something terrible happened.
He ran outside and let Dragonite out of it's Pokeball.
"Dragonite there is an urgent issue we must hurry."
Dragonite nodded Lance jumped on it's back.
"Fly west Dragonite."
Dragonite took off towards Pallet Town.
IN THE KANTO WOODS
Ash was running Pikachu was right beside him. They were going back to Ash's home they were going to be free. They were no longer going to be AK1 and P1. They were Ash and Pikachu.
Ash went into a city and got a map using his powers he was able to steal some new clothes and change out of the sweats he had always been made to where at the lab.
The city made him nervous all the people, pokemon, and loud noises were something he was not used to at all.
However, his desire to get home and be free overrode his nerves.
The clothes felt strange when he put them on. It had been a very long time since he had worn clothes like that.
He looked up and saw a sign.
Pallet Town
"We are almost there Pikachu but we must keep running."
"Pika!"
Soon they saw houses and then Ash skidded to a stop in front of the house he'd been dreaming of returning to for years.
It looked exactly the same.
"This is it Pikachu."
He was about to walk to the front door when suddenly Pikachu frantically yanked on his jeans and pointed at the sky.
"Pika- Pikachu!"
"What is it?"
Ash's heart began to race as he looked up and saw the silhouette of a Pokemon and a person before they came flying down in front of them.
ABOVE PALLET TOWN
Dragonite and Lance were racing to try to find Ash and Pikachu.
He was looking down from Dragonite's back when he spotted a boy and a Pikachu it was them it had to be.
"Dragonite down there!"
Dragonite flew down Lance jumped to the ground.
It was definitely them from the photos they had managed to get. As expected though Ash and Pikachu immediately viewed him as a threat.
Ash clenched his fists and sparks came from Pikachu's cheeks.
"Go away we aren't going back!"
"Listen Ash my name is Lance I am not a part of Team Rocket I am here to take you and Pikachu somewhere safe."
"No you're with them and we aren't going anywhere with you!"
He unclenched his fists held his hands up by his chest and formed a blue sphere before sending it flying at Lance. Lance dove to the ground just in time.
"Ash if I don't get you out of here Team Rocket will find you and take you back if I could figure out you would come back here don't you think they are going to?"
Ash shook his head.
"Ash please just-
"AK1 and P1"
A gruff voice called out cutting Lance off. Ash and Pikachu quickly turned around. Lance who was already facing that direction just looked up.
A tall dark-haired man came down the path with six men trailing behind him. All seven of them were dressed in Team Rocket uniforms.
"I'm afraid this little escapade you two have had is done it is time for you to come back to the facility now."
"No, we aren't going back!" Ash yelled to the man.
"It is best for both of you to be cooperative I have been giving permission to use force if necessary."
"We are never going back there!"
The man sighed.
"AK1 you had a chance to make this easy."
The man took out two Pokeballs and tossed them in the air releasing a golem and an agron.
"Agron double edge golem tackle!"
Lance was about to step in with Dragonite when Ash fired at what looked like to be an extremely powerful hyperbeam from his hand.
It hit both Golem and Agron sending them flying.
"Why you! Golem Agron return."
He took out two more Pokeballs releasing a garchomp and salamnce.
"Garchomp shadow ball Salamance hyper beam!"
Ash let out another attack that seemed like a dark pulse.
The collision of the attacks sent up a bunch of dirt from the road but once it quickly settled everyone was still standing.
"Both of you this is enough you are going back now!"
The six men rushed at them Pikachu let loose a massive thunderbolt bigger than Lance had ever seen. The men all fell to the ground.
"Garchomp dragon claw Salamace fire fang!"
Ash formed another blue sphere and launched it at the Pokemon but as soon as he did.
"Metagross use meteor mash!"
Lance looked around where was that Pokemon?
Suddenly the meteor mash came from above sending Ash and Pikachu flying backwards.
A metagross flew down.
The men had somehow recovered from Pikachu's massive thunderbolt and were heading towards them.
"Now you are going back Metagross use-
"Dragonite use twister!"
Dragonite flew up unleashing a powerful twister that sent the men and Pokemon flying back.
Lance ran over to Ash and Pikachu.
"Listen I know you don't trust me and I know you're scared I don't blame you for that after all you two have been through but I can help you just come with and I will
take you somewhere safe."
Ash's eyes turned over to the Team Rocket men and then to Lance.
"Okay."
He stood up and picked up Pikachu.
"Dragonite!"
Dragonite dropped down next to them.
He quickly helped them onto Dragonite's back before climbing on. Dragonite flew off towards the G-men headquarters where he'd been instructed to bring Ash and Pikachu.
