Note: Do I 100% know for certain if Parker told them what really happened? Not at the time I wrote this, but I thought this was a fun idea, so I just went with it. Hope you like it even if I got the reason wrong.
'Tell Agent Parker he still owes me 600 dollars for the Monaco Incident.'
That was the end of Hetty's 1st message to her team in, a long time. And of course, Callen and Sam were very curious to what she meant!
'Dude, it's ancient history! I don't feel like discussing it.' Parker insisted.
'Aw come on! It'll take us a while to get to our destination, surely you can spare us a clue!' Callen exclaimed.
'Yeah man, it's not every day we meet someone who still owes Hetty a large sum of money.' Sam rang in.
Groans. 'Okay! You want to know what happened? Fine! Here's what happened…'
A few decades ago, Parker had been sent to assist Hetty in protecting a wealthy politician who also happened to be a whistleblower. While Hetty was away, the estate they were staying at was attacked. Parker fought them off, but while doing so, he committed a very serious crime?
He ducked behind Hetty's car, and it got shot up.
Callen and Sam almost couldn't believe it. Someone else besides them had done something that serious as well?!
'Long story short, she was really ticked off, and I've been refusing to pay her because I don't feel like I need to because the bad guys are the ones who destroyed the car, and we haven't spoken in years. Happy?' Parker grunted when he finished.
Stunned silence.
'What? Oh, don't tell me you've done something like this before, right?'
'Well… Maybe 12 years ago.' Callen shrugged.
The boys then proceeded to tell Parker how they had to duck behind Hetty's Jag and how it got shot up, and how despite their cheap efforts to avoid paying a large repair bill, she still eventually found out.
'The painter only painted over the holes instead of filling them in, and it all washed off when she turned on the hose to wash it.' Callen said.
'Yeesh! What did she do after that?' Parker asked.
'After yelling at us over the phone for a bit, she forced us to properly repair it, and the whole repair bill was taken out of our paychecks. And it was a large bill, very large.' Sam replied.
'If I were you, pal. I'd consider paying her the money, she never forgets who owes her cash. Trust me, I know!' Callen concluded.
After the case wrapped, Parker sent Callen a 600 dollar check to give to Hetty whenever she came home.
