"No," Scissors answered earnestly. "If you need to find him, I'll do it." He turned back to his swords. He was currently sharpening one of them. "If his dog gets injured in any way, he'll tear me to shreds. I am the leader of the Legion, after all. He's as protective of that pet as he is to my Princess."
"Well, it is his dog, so that makes sense. Losing a pet sucks." Izuku faced Olivia. "Any other ideas?"
"We could use Scissors, but he's directionally impaired."
"I am not!" Scissors growled. "I just got lost that one time! That's completely different."
"Well," Olivia said, ignoring Scissors, "Olly can sense magic. I wonder if I could do it too."
"How does he do that?" Izuku asked, grabbing his notebook and pen.
"He feels a...connection to magic. Weather it's origami or not, he's always being drawn towards it. He gets in some troubling situations that way." She began pacing. "Before we just run off willy-nilly, we need to find out why. Why did he rush off like he did while he was upset? Who was talking to him? How were they talking to him?"
"I think I know the answer to that last question," Todoroki responded. "There's a new villain on the loose. I think they called him Mind Weaver, off of his Quirk. The news mentioned something about the League of Villains."
"League of Villains?" Olivia frowned. "Ooh, that doesn't sound good at all."
"They've been causing problems," Ochaco mentioned. "They attacked the school once because of All Might."
"If the LOV is behind it," Izuku muttered, "then Mind Weaver's not going to play fair. And if Shokunin's their target..."
"They want his Fold of Life," Todoroki finished.
"But why?" Izuku asked.
"Think about it, didn't you noticed how powerful he got when he was ticked off? If they figure out how to manipulate Shokunin from a safe distance, they can easily get him to do what they want, even if Shokunin doesn't realize."
"Ooh, Olly and I are both still young. If they do that to him...no, no. That would be disastrous!" Olivia resumed pacing. "But what are we to do? If they're purposely trying to force my brother into a blind rage, it'll be dangerous to get near! He's gotten a lot stronger since..."
"Are you okay?" Ochaco asked, worried. "You stopped."
"Oh, it's not important. I'm the only one Olly would listen to in that form, so we need to make sure I can safely get close enough to him."
"Form?" Izuku asked, bringing his notebook and pen back out. "What do you mean by form?"
"Again, not important. We should go before anything happens."
"Shokunin's right," Tsu agreed. "The quicker we leave, the quicker we can calm him down, ribbit."
"And the sooner we can prevent a disaster," Olivia finished.
Olly slid down the wall on a nearby jewelry shop. The lights were on, so he was tempted to enter and leave the cold winds. It was already nighttime by the time the voices had left him alone.
Who were those voices?
Were they his own?
Olly shook off the thoughts and hugged his legs. He tugged his collar up to cover his mouth and rested his head on his knees. A shadow fell over him.
"What are you doing here? You homeless?"
Olly looked up to find a man in his mid-thirties standing over him. He was wearing a beanie and a black coat.
"Need some cash?"
"Um...Who are you?"
"That's not important. I can help you." He held out his gloved hand. "But I need to make a stop at this shop first. Wanna join?"
"N-no!" Olly stood, not being not much higher than he was whilst sitting. "I'm doing fine! Plus, you avoided my question and you look like you're overdosing on something bad for you!"
"Heh, that's the kind of spirit I like to see." He grabbed Olly's wrist. "Come on."
Olly fought him, but was failing. "Let me go! I don't trust you, Mr. Suspicious!"
"Well too bad." He started dragging Olly towards the van he drove there in. "And since you don't trust me, I don't like you. I hope you stay quiet, brat. Then I might let you go." He slid open the back to reveal two more men in black. He grabbed some thick, silver tape. "You're paper-ish. This'll keep you still."
"Stop it! Let me go!"
"Stop moving around and be a good kid," taunted one of the other men.
"G-good...?"
"Yeah. You're acting like a real bad kid, you know?" The first man said, brining the tape closer to Olly's mouth.
Olly gave up fighting them. "I-I'm not a bad kid...I'm not bad...I'm not a villain. I'm good. I'm a good person!"
"Keep telling yourself that," he said. "Wait, what's going on? Did he just get taller?"
Olly, doubled in size, tore the tape from the man's grasp.
"Why's his eye glowing like that?" Asked the third man, who was backing away from the van. "Maybe we should've left this place alone, man. This kid's creeping me out."
"No way! I'll make him stop!" He gripped Olly's wrist tighter, forcing the king to his knees. He used the strip of tape he had on his hand to seal his mouth shut, hardly managing to do so before Olly shoved him away. He watched tears form on Olly's arm.
"Dude, he's taller than the freaking van!" Called the second one. "Let's get out of here!"
"Fine, you cowards! Leave, for all I care!"
The other two fled. Olly's arms bulged and tore to confetti, revealing his thousand-fold arms. His grip had slipped from Olly's arm. Olly grabbed him by the foot and tossed him into the jewelry shop. Shattered glass lie everywhere. Olly tried to take the tape from his mouth.
The man stood. He went outside and pulled out his rifle. "Eat this, you freak!" He fired at Olly's head.
Olly blocked it with his hand, the bullet going clean through but missing his face. He slapped the robber back into the shop. Citizens ran screaming, out of the shop and into the road. Olly resumed attempting to get the tape from his face.
Izuku heard the faint screaming of distressed, helpless citizens. He stopped running, as did everyone else.
"You hear that?" Bakugou asked.
"People are in trouble," Izuku responded. "They need our help."
"We need to hurry!" Ochaco agreed.
"But, Olly..." Olivia began.
"He might be there too," Izuku told. "Either way, we'll find him. Come on!"
They resumed running, changing their course to the direction of the trouble. Olivia looked back, hoping to see her brother safe.
She couldn't have been more wrong.
The group was shocked to find Olly in a giant size. The tape was still on his mouth. Olivia could tell he was distressed, as he attempted to not step on any of the tiny people below him.
"OLLY! Oh no, this is what I was scared of." She faced Izuku. "You need to help me get close. Can you?"
Gun fires sounded as police officers began firing at him. Olivia spotted a crushed police car near the shop.
"Wait, stop!" Olivia called to them. "You're just scaring him more!"
"Shokunin," Izuku said. "You want to get close, right?"
Olivia nodded.
Olly grabbed both sides of his head and stumbled backwards. The ground beneath Olivia began cracking.
"We need to hurry! They're scaring him too much, he's losing control!"
"Why does he have tape on his mouth?" Todoroki asked.
"Ochaco," Izuku rushed over to her. "I need you to touch Shokunin." He pointed at Olivia. "Kachaan, once she's in the air, you'll need to blast an explosion near enough so she can get a boost."
"Can't she just fly there?" Bakugou questioned rudely.
Olly struggled further to remove the tape.
"I can't fly. Not like my brother." Olivia tugged the bottom of her dress down. "Just be careful, okay? And don't look!"
"Okay, here we go!" Ochaco placed a hand on Olivia's shoulder. "Up you go!"
"Waa! Flying sure feels weird!"
"About time I blew something up!" Bakugou exclaimed. He did as Izuku said, and Olivia went flying.
"Aaah!"
Ochaco released her Quirk and Olivia slapped against the roof of the store. "Sorry, you would have floated away otherwise!"
"I'm okay..." She stood and dusted the rubbled from her. A crack formed in front of the building, the ground all around shifting. She hurried to the edge of the ceiling.
Olly's gaze snapped over to her. Panicking, he tore aggressively at the tape, ripping parts of his face.
"Olly, stop! You're going to hurt yourself! You need to calm down, please!"
"Livi! I-I can't figure out how t-to-!"
"Calm down first. Please. The more you panic, the worse it'll be."
Tears started streaming down Olly's face. "I-I...Livi..." Olly's face began bleeding from when he carelessly tore the tape off. "H-help me...Please...I don't want to do that again...Everyone is so scared of me."
"People are easy to scare," Olivia admitted. "And so are you, in a way."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You know exactly what I mean!"
"How can they be arguing right now?" Izuku asked.
"You'll never understand if you're a single child," Todoroki stated.
Olly rested his head on Olivia's hand. "Why does this keep happening? Why can I never learn?"
"I think I have an answer to your troubles, if you could just change back."
"I have no clue how to..."
Olivia wiped the blood from her hand. "Do you want me to hit you again? Will that help?"
"That hurt so much last time!" He stayed silent for a minute.
"But my energy's failing, so I'll take that as a good thing." Olly stumbled back a bit. "I think it's worse than last time. I'm going to pass out..."
"Oh, Olly. Take me off this building first! I don't want to be stuck up here!"
Olly gently scooped her up and placed her on the ground. He stumbled backwards and fell.
To Izuku's surprise, he landed on the floor very tiny. He could probably carry Olly in one hand. Izuku and his friends went to make sure Olly was okay.
"Shokunin? Are you okay?" Izuku asked.
Olly began coughing up blood.
"Aah! Are you okay?" Ochaco repeated.
Olly wiped off his face with his hand. "I am...so sorry...about all of this..."
"Oh, Olly! I'm so glad you're-you're bleeding. From everywhere..."
"Shokunin's right," Todoroki said. "Your arms, hand, and face are covered in blood."
"And you were just coughing it out too, ribbit."
Olly looked at his left arm, the one that had gotten shot. His triangle hand began shaking. "O-oh...looks like I am...How perfect-" He was interrupted by more coughing. "this happened last time too..." He started panting. "I feel so weak..." He tried to wipe the blood away again, but his face was still bleeding, so it wasn't doing much.
"Olly? That's a lot of...blood..."
"He might be bleeding out!" Izuku said. "Hang on, Shokunin!"
"C-call me...Olly...that's my...name...Shokunin...is...my...father..." Olly's arms were shaking too much and he couldn't keep himself stable.
Everything went black.
