Episode 283: Are You Afraid of the Dark-types?
On the very next morning after the Rubello Town R1 Pokémon Contest, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Azurill, and Marill prepare to take off on their journey. But before they get to, Savannah has one more thing she wanted to do.
"Sora, if it's okay with you, I would like to take some pictures of you and your friends, just so I can have something to remember you by," Savannah said.
"I don't see why not," Sora said.
With that said, Sora and his friends had some pictures taken with Savannah along with their respected Pokémon partners. The last one was one with the whole group. Savannah had her Flareon and Lairon out along with the partner Pokemon. With that done, the group said their goodbyes and took their leave and went on their way on their journey.
Most of the group went their own way down the road, leavin Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel. Rei went with Ash and Leaf as Riku, Namine, Eevee, and Azurill went by themselves as Brendan, May, and Max went with Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Marill.
As the journey continued on, Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel came to a town to pick up some supplies, such as potions, antidotes, and some bottled water to drink. Just before they could get started on their shopping, they're approached by a girl wearing a yellow dress and yellow dress shoes. She has black hair that reached down to her back and has brown eyes.
"Excuse me, but aren't you Sora Ketcbum?" The girl asked.
"Yeah. Why?" Sora asked.
"Oh, I'm been wanting to meet you so badly, and I wanna ask you to have a battle against me?" The girl asked.
"Okay. I could use some practice for my Gym battle," Sora said.
"You will? Yay! You really made my day! And I wanna ask you something after the battle," the girl said.
"Um, okay," Sora said, thinking the girl might have a crush on him, and she wanted to go out on a date with him. It shouldn't surprise him, but his eyes are on Kairi, so he had to turn her down. "How to use?"
"Let's make it three-on-three please," the girl said.
"Sure thing," Sora said.
"Here's my first one," the girl said, taking out a Dive Ball and threw it. "I choose you, Buizel!" Her Pokéball opened and a new Pokémon emerged right from inside.
It is an orange Pokémon resembling a weasel and a sea otter. It has a yellow collar around its neck and two blue fins on its arms. It has a cream-colored spot above each eye and two black parallel marks on its cheeks. The underside of its face and stomach are also cream-colored, as are the tips of its two tails. It has one cream-colored spot on its back.
"So who's that Pokémon?" Sora asked, taking out his Rotom Phone to scan it.
Buizel, the Sea Weasel Pokémon
Type: Water
Buizel swims by spinning its two tails to propel itself through the water. The tails can slice through clinging seaweed. It also uses its flotation sacs to float on the water's surface.
"Cool, a Buizel," Sora said.
"So that's a Buizel. This is the first time I have ever seen one," Lisia said.
"Me too. Buizel can't be found in the Hoenn region, but it's amazing to see a new Pokémon with our own eyes," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Okay, Buizel's a Water-type, so I figure I'd send you out, Pikachu," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Go for it!" Sora said. Pikachu stepped in.
Watching the battle closely is a man with violet eyes that have the same color as the patch of his hair on his bald head. He wore a black overcoat with yellow strips around the neck piece and ends of his sleeves. He also wears purple pants with black shoes. On his left wrist is a gold watch.
"Buizel! Use Water Gun!" The girl ordered. Buizel fired Water Gun right at the Mouse Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Electro Ball!" Sora ordered. Pikachu formed a ball of electricity and sent it right at the Sea Weasel Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Ice Punch!" The girl ordered. Buizel's fist emits ice and rushed at him. Buizel came pretty fast and lands a hit on him. Use Aqua Jet!" Buizel dashed right at Pikachu while surrounded by water.
"Dodge and use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired a Thunderbolt, shocking the Sea Weasel Pokémon, dealing some heavy damage.
"Use Iron Tail!" The girl ordered. Buizel heads right at Pikachu with an Iron Tail.
"Use Iron Tail to block!" Sora ordered.
Pikachu and Buizel clashed their tails against each other like swords clashing at each other. They held on and they separated from each other.
"Use Water Gun!" The girl ordered. Buizel fired a Water Gun right at Pikachu to land a hit.
"Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu uses Quick Attack to avoid Buizel's Water Gun and land a hit. "Use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu fired a Thunderbolt, shocking Buizel and dealing some heavy damage. Buizel was then knocked out. The girl called her Buizel back inside. "Good job, Pikachu."
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"You did your best, Buizel. Have yourself a good, long rest," the girl said. She took out a regular Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Probopass!" Her Pokéball opened to reveal another new Pokémon.
This Pokémon is a mostly blue, rock-like Pokémon. It has small round eyes, a red nose that is large in proportion to its body, and a bushy black mustache that consists of iron sand, which appears to be attracted by its magnetic nose. Probopass has three small objects on its sides and back, called Mini-Noses. It has a big red hat-like magnet on top of its head. Sora took out his Rotom Phone again to scan it.

Type: Rock/Steel
It is able to emit powerful magnetism, allowing it control over the iron sand that forms its luscious mustache. Using this iron sand, Probopass forms hard stones with which it smites its prey. It also controls small units known as Mini-Noses to capture prey.
"So that's what Nosepass will evolve into," Sora said. He took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Marshtomp!" His Pokéball opened and Marshtomp came out to battle. Sora knew Marshtomp had the advantage because he's a Water and Ground-type Pokémon, but he couldn't let his guard down.
"Probopass! Use Flash Cannon!" The girl ordered. Probopass fired a Flash Cannon right at Marshtomp.
"Dodge it and use Mud Shot!" Sora ordered. Marshtomp dodged Probopass's Flash Cannon and fired a Mud Shot right at Probopass.
"Use Protect!" The girl ordered. Probopass moves its Mini-Noses to form a protective barrier, causing Mud Shot to bounce off. "Use Waterfall!" Marshtomp came at Probopass with a Waterfall.
"Probopass! Use Hyper Beam!" The girl ordered. Probopass unleashed a Hyper Beam and it knocked out. Sora called Marshtomp back inside his Pokéball.
"Great job, Marshtomp. You did your best," Sora said.
"That was wonderful, Probopass!" The girl said, praising the Compass Pokémon. The girl took out her next Pokéball. "Now, here's my third Pokémon! Go! Crobat!" Her Pokéball opened and a Crobat emerged from inside. Sora took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Snorunt!" Sora called out. His Pokéball opened and his Snorunt emerged from inside. "Snorunt! Use Powder Snow!" Snorunt blew a Powder Snow from his mouth and right at the Bat Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Cross Poison!" The girl ordered. Crobat flew pretty fast for Snorunt and lands a hit on him. "Use Venoshock!" Crobat fired a Venoshock right at the Snow Hat Pokémon to deal some damage on him.
"Dodge and use Ice Beam!" Sora ordered. Snorunt dodged Crobat's Venoshock and fired an Ice Beam, freezing Crobat in the air. The frozen Bat Pokémon fell to the ground.
"Oh no! My Crobat's frozen!" The girl exclaimed.
"Use Headbutt!" Sora ordered. Snorunt dashed right at Crobat and lands a Headbutt on Crobat, knocking it out. Sora has won the battle. "Way to go, Snorunt!"
"Snorunt, Snorunt!" Snorunt beamed.
"Oh, I lost," the girl sadly said as she calls back her Crobat. She walked up to Sora and smiled. "That was a good battle. Thank you."
"Likewise. Your Pokémon are pretty tough," Sora said. The girl smiled at the kind complement. She took off on her way. Sora called back his Snorunt inside his Pokéball. "Okay, let's go."
"Hold it," a voice said. The voice belonged to the man watching the match closely. "I have to say, that was some impressive battling there, kid."
"Thanks," Sora said. Lisia then gasped when she saw who it was.
"Wait a minute, aren't you Sidney, one of the Hoenn region's Elite Four?" Lisia asked.
"Yeah, and I know you're Wallace's niece, Lisia. Good to finally meet you," Sidney said.
"Lisia, how do you know about him?" Kairi asked.
"How do you not know about him? As I already mentioned, Sidney's one of the Hoenn region's Elite Four. He specializes with Dark-type Pokémon," Lisia said.
"She's right. You know my name, but what's yours?" Sidney asked.
"I'm Sora," Sora answered.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Good to know you, Sora. I got a place not too far from here, so I thought I invite you three if you like," Sidney offered.
"That's very nice of you," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
With that said, Sidney invited Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Lisia over to his summer home with his Pokémon waiting for him. His Pokémon consisted of a Mightyena, a Cacturne, a Shiftry, a Sharpedo, a Crawdaunt, and an Absol.
"Hey, guys. Brought some company," Sidney said. Sora, Kairi, and Lisia looked right at the Dark-types and saw how strong they looked.
"So, Sora, are you by any chance taking part of the Hoenn Pokémon League?" Sidney asked.
"Yeah, I am, and I'm also partaking in the Battle Frontier," Sora said.
"Is that right? How many Gym Badges and Frontier Symbols did you win?" Sidney asked.
"Well, I got five Gym Badges and four Frontier Symbols," Sora said.
"Sounds like you're well on your way, Sora. You're a a whole lot closer to your goal," Sidney said, impressed by Sora's accomplishments.
"My uncle Wallace told me that you've always been interested in Dark-type Pokémon," Lisia said.
"Yeah, ever since I was a kid. There was something about Dark-type Pokémon that just spoke to me. I came a very long way since I began training with my Absol, right until I got an invitation to join the Elite Four of Hoenn, and I just went for it," Sidney said.
"You know, it sounds like you worked very hard to get where you are now," Kairi said.
"Well, I didn't sit around, reading comic books. But I'll admit, it wasn't easy for me, but nobody ever told me that it was ever easy, and there were some things that I had a hard time with, but that didn't stop me," Sidney said.
"I know what you mean. When I first started out, the odds were against me, and I didn't give up, because I had my Pokémon right beside me. Each and every one of them," Sora said.
"Because your Pokémon gives you strength, just as well as you give them strength," Sidney said.
"Anyway, I have a battle coming up today, so how about you come have yourselves a watch if you're interested?" Sidney offered.
"Sure thing," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
With that said, Sidney led Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel to the local stadium where a battle was about to take place. The crowd cheered on as his challenger is a large muscular man.
"Ladies and gentlemen, our exhibition battle is about to begin! Coming in the blue corner is Strong-man Morgan and in the red corner is the crowd favorite: Sidney!" The announcer announced. The referee came to the battlefield to begin the battle.
"Trainers! This'll be a full six-on-six battle! Both Trainers will each use all six Pokémon! The battle will be over when all six of either Trainer's Pokémon are unable to battle! Choose and begin!" The referee shouted. Morgan took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Scyther!" Morgan shouted. His Pokéball opened and a Scyther came out, ready to battle. Sidney took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Mightyena! Go!" Sidney called out. Mightyena came out, ready to battle.
"Morgan has sent out Scyther as Sidney has sent out Mightyena! Judging by types, Scyther has the advantage!" The announcer announced.
"Mightyena! Use Swagger!" Sidney ordered. Mightyena glared right at Scyther, giving off a red aura. Scyther's eyes began to glow red.
"Mightyena has started things off by confusing its opponent with Swagger!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, Swagger confuses an opponent, doesn't it?" Sora asked.
"Yeah, but it also increases the attack power of the confused Pokémon," Kairi said.
"Let's see how that Scyther responds," Lisia said.
"Scyther! Use X-Scissor!" Morgan ordered. Scyther flew right at Mightyena to deliver an X-Scissor.
"And Scyther comes at Mightyena with an X-Scissor! It will deal some heavy damage when it hits!" The announcer announced.
"Mightyena! Use Take Down!" Sidney ordered. Mightyena charges right at Scyther and rammed right into Scyther, dealing some damage. Mightyena has taken some recoil damage.
"Mightyena pushed back by delivering a Take Down!" The announcer announced.
"Scyther! Use Fury Cutter!" Morgan ordered. Scyther tried to use Fury Cutter, but it only ends up hurting itself due to its confusion.
"Mightyena! Use Crunch!" Sidney ordered. Mightyena came at Scyther and lands a powerful bite attack on the Mantis Pokémon, dealing some decent damage.
"Scyther is being pushed around out there! Mightyena's not giving it a chance to fight back!" The announcer announced.
"Take Down!" Sidney ordered. Mightyena charged right at Scyther and lands another hit on Mightyena, and took some recoil damage. Scyther was down for the count.
"Scyther is unable to battle! Mightyena wins!" The referee announced.
"Hardly a surprise! Sidney has taken the early lead in this battle! Let's see how Morgan will respond!" The announcer announced as Morgan called back his Scyther and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Ursaring! I choose you!" Morgan shouted. His Pokéball opened and his Ursaring emerged from inside, roaring upon entry. Sidney called back his Mightyena and threw his next Pokéball.
"Shiftry! Go!" Sidney called out. His Pokéball opened and his Shiftry emerged from inside.
"Both Trainers are using their second Pokémon! Morgan has sent out an Ursaring while Sidney has sent out a Shiftry!" The announcer announced.
"Ursaring! Use Ice Punch!" Morgan ordered. Ursaring came at Shiftry with an Ice Punch.
"Use Fake Out!" Sidney ordered. Shiftry came at Ursaring with its hands glowing orange, and making it flinch. Shiftry clapped its hands, creating a large shock wave of air comes out of them, stopping Ursaring from using Ice Punch.
"Shiftry starts out the battle by using a Fake Out on Ursaring, preventing it from using Ice Punch!" The announcer announced.
"Snap out of it, Ursaring, and use Ice Punch again!" Morgan ordered.
"Use Leaf Blade!" Sidney ordered. Shiftry's leaves gave off a bright green glow and swiped its leaves right at the Hibernator Pokémon, dealing some heavy damage.
"Shiftry has given Ursaring a powerful swipe from that Leaf Blade!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, Shiftry! Use Extrasensory!" Sidney ordered. Shiftry's eyes glow gold and it opens its mouth, releasing a multicolored circular beam of energy with white rings of energy around it at the bear-like Pokémon. Shiftry then lifts Ursaring up in the air.
"Shiftry gives Ursaring a lift with Extrasensory! This isn't looking so good for Ursaring!" The announcer announced.
"Give it a slam down on the ground!" Sidney called out. Shiftry threw Ursaring down to the ground, resulting in a knockout.
"Ursaring is unable to battle! Shiftry wins!" The referee announced.
"And that makes two Pokémon Morgan has lost to Sidney! What else does Morgan have in store for him?" The announcer asked as Morgan took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Granbull! Go!" Morgan shouted as his Pokéball opened and Granbull emerged from inside. Sidney calls back his Shiftry and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Cacturne! Go!" Sidney shouted. His Pokéball opened and his Cacturne emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"Sidney's third Pokémon is Cacturne while Morgan sends out Granbull, a Fairy-type Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Morgan must have done his homework, because it's a common fact that Dark-type Pokémon are weak against Fairy-types," Kairi said.
"Vee," Angel said.
"Yeah, but I don't think Sidney's too concerned about that," Lisia said.
"Granbull! Use Play Rough!" Morgan ordered. Granbull rushed at the Scarecrow Pokémon to give it a series of beatings.
"And here comes Granbull with a Play Rough ready to pounce!" The announcer announced.
"Use Spiky Shield!" Sidney ordered. Cacturne's needles protrudes from its body, giving out a green glow. When Granbull made contact with Cacturne, the needles poked Granbull, dealing some damage.
"Ooh, I felt all that from up here! Cacturne uses its Spiky Shield to protect itself from Granbull's Play Rough and ends up being a living pin cushion!" The announcer announced.
"Use Needle Arm!" Sidney ordered. The needles on Cacturne's arms began to extend and heads right at Granbull.
"Use Dynamic Punch!" Morgan ordered. Granbull rushed at Cacturne to deliver a Dynamic Punch.
"Granbull comes at Cacturne with a Dymanic Punch while Cacturne is heading for Granbull with a Needle Arm!" The announcer announced. Cacturne was faster than Granbull, so the Scarecrow Pokémon swung its arm at Granbull, dealing some damage. "Ooh, Granbull has taken a brutal hit from that Needle Arm!"
"Use Feint Attack!" Sidney ordered. Cacturne disappeared and then reappeared right in front of the Fairy Pokémon and lands a hit on it. "Use Needle Arm again!" Cacturne's needles on its arm extends again and then swings its arm right at Granbull, dealing some damage, resulting in a knockout.
"Granbull is unable to battle! Cacturne wins!" The referee announced.
"Half of Morgan's team has taken a serious hit from Sidney's onslaught! Can Morgan manage to make a comeback?!" The announcer asked as Morgan called back his Granbull and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Poliwrath! Go!" Morgan shouted. His Pokéball opened and his Poliwrath emerged from inside. Sidney called back his Cacturne and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Sharpedo!" Sidney called out. His Pokéball opened and his Sharpedo emerged from inside. The battlefield is now converted into a water battlefield to suit the needs of both Water-types.
"And now, it's a water battle between two Water-type Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Poliwrath! Use Body Press!" Morgan ordered. Poliwrath flies in the air in an attempt to slam into Sharpedo.
"Poliwrath comes flying in with a Body Press!" The announcer announced.
"Use Aqua Jet!" Sidney ordered. Sharpedo Sharpedo dashed right at Poliwrath while its whole body is surrounded by water. Both Pokémon made contact with each other, dealing half the damage on each other. Poliwrath has gained extra damage due to Sharpedo's Rough Skin ability.
"Both Pokémon has dealt some damage on each other, but it looks like Sharpedo's Rough Skin has kicked in!" The announcer announced.
"Use Poison Fang!" Sidney ordered. Sharpedo's jaws emits poison, and it came right at the Tadpole Pokémon, landing a venomous bite. Poliwrath ends up being poisoned by Sharpedo's attack.
"Sharpedo has made good on its poison with a Poison Fang!" The announcer announced.
"Ploiwrath! Use Power-Up Punch!" Morgan ordered.
"Sharpedo! Use Poison Fang again!" Sidney ordered. Sharpedo came at Poliwrath and lands another venomous bite onto Poliwrath, dealing in some heavy damage and resulting in a knockout.
Poliwrath is unable to battle! Sharpedo wins!" The referee announced.
"And Sidney has taken down four of Morgan's Pokémon without a sweat! Morgan is now down to two remaining! Now, which one will he send out next to counter Sidney?" The announcer asked as Morgan called back his Poliwrath. He took out his next Pokéball. Sidney calls back his Sharpedo as the battlefield is converted back to normal. Morgan took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Magmortar!" Morgan called out. His Pokéball opened and a Magmortar emerged from inside, ready to battle. Sidney took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Crawdaunt! Go!" Sidney called out. His Pokéball opened and let out his Crawdaunt.
"Sidney has sent out a Crawdaunt as Morgan has let out a Magmortar, a Fire-type! Will it cost Morgan or does he have a trick up his sleeve?" The announcer asked.
"Use Thunderbolt!" Morgan ordered. Magmortar held out one of its arms and fired a Thunderbolt right at Crawdaunt.
"Dodge and use Crabhammer!" Sidney ordered. Crawdaunt avoids Magmortar's Thunderbolt just by jumping in the air. Crawdaunt's pincers emits water and gave the Blast Pokémon a hit across the face, sending it down on the ground.
"That was a close call for Crawdaunt as it dodged by jumping out of the way before it could land a shocking hit, and lands a red-hot Crabhammer!" The announcer announced.
"Use Chilling Water!" Sidney ordered. Crawdaunt forms water from its pincers and sends it right at Magmortar. When it made contact with Magmortar, the water attack deals some heavy damage due to its weakness to water and how cold it was.
"Brr, now that's cold! That Chilling Water has put the cold on Magmortar!" The announcer announced. Crawdaunt's cold water attack has knocked out Magmortar, and making it shiver.
"Magmortar is unable to battle! Crawdaunt wins!" The referee announced.
"Now, Morgan is down to one Pokémon remaining! Will he make his comeback or will it be all over for him before he could mount a comeback?" The announcer asked. Morgan called back his Magmortar and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Sceptile! Go!" Morgan called out. His Pokéball opened to reveal a reptilian, bipedal Pokémon. Its neck is somewhat long, and it has two crests on its head. It has semicircular, yellow eyes with red rims. Its lower jaw and a belt-like band across its waist are also red. Along its back, it has two lines running down the middle and two rows of yellow nodules that are described as seeds. Its tail is shaped similar to that of a palm tree's branch. Both of its long arms have two sharp, elongated leaves and three claws. Sora became interested in Sceptile when he was looking at it.
"Hey now," Sora said, taking out his Rotom Phone and scanned it.

Type: Grass
The leaves growing on Sceptile's body are very sharp edged. This Pokémon is very agile. It leaps all over the branches of trees and jumps on its foe from above or behind.
"So that's Treecko's fully evolved form, huh?" Sora asked, awestruck by what he was seeing.
"And Morgan's final Pokémon is his Sceptile!" The announcer announced as Sidney calls back his Crawdaunt and took out his next Pokéball.
"Go! Absol!" Sidney called out. His Pokéball opened and his Absol emerged from inside.
"And finally, Sidney has unleashed his Absol! Which one of these two will be still standing?" The announcer asked.
"Sceptile! Use Dragon Breath!" Morgan ordered. Sceptile unleashed a Dragon Breath, sending it right at the Disaster Pokémon.
"Absol! Use Psycho Cut!" Sidney ordered. Absol's horn gave off a blue psychic glow and it uses its horn to cut through Sceptile's Dragon Breath.
"Absol uses Psycho Cut to cut through that Dragon Breath like a knife cutting through butter! It would have had a paralyzing effect if it hits!" The announcer announced.
"Sceptile! Use Solar Blade!" Morgan ordered. Sceptile's leafy arms began to absorb sunlight.
"It looks like Sceptile is preparing to use a Solar Blade! How will Sidney's Absol respond?" The announcer asked.
"Use Aerial Ace!" Sidney ordered. Absol dashed right at Absol and lands an Aerial Ace right at Sceptile, landing a hit.
"Absol lands a hit with Aerial Ace, but Sceptile's still on its feet!" The announcer announced. Sceptile's leaves turned into a blade that gave off a golden-yellow glow and swings the attack to hit Absol with it.
"Use Slash!" Sidney ordered. Absol swiped its claws at Sceptile, dealing a critical hit and sent Sceptile flying. The Forest Pokémon lands right on Morgan, knocked out.
"Sceptile is unable to battle! Absol wins! The winner of the battle is Sidney!" The referee announced.
"And Sidney has taken a perfect attendance victory!" The announcer announced.
"Man, I gotta say, Lisia, I can see why this guy is with Hoenn's Elite Four. Morgan gave it everything he had and he still lost without taking out one of Sidney's Pokémon," Sora said.
"Agatha, Bruno, Lorelei, and Lance are heavy contenders. In fact, so are Karen, Will, Darla, and Jack the Rock," Kairi said, remembering the region's Elite Four members.
"Since Sidney's one of the Elite Four, who are the other three?" Sora asked.
"Well, since you asked, there's Glacia, and she specializes with Ice-type Pokémon. Then there's Phoebe, and she uses Ghost-types, and there's Drake, and he specializes with Dragon-types," Lisia said.
"Kinda like Lorelei, Agatha, and Lance in Kanto," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
After the battle with Morgan, Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel met up with Sidney as he smiled.
"So how was that?" Sidney asked.
"I gotta say, I saw you're a member of the Elite Four here in Hoenn, Sidney," Sora said.
"Well, I'm glad I could impress you," Sidney said. "Also, before I forget, I should tell you about the Battle Palace."
"The Battle Palace?" Sora asked.
"Yes. The Battle Palace is just outside of town and right through the woods. You'll be able to find Spenser right inside," Sidney said.
"Who's Spenser?" Kairi asked.
"Spenser is the Frontier Brain of the Battle Palace. He's known as the Palace Maven. In fact, he's a man of nature, so he'll be using that to his advantage," Sidney said.
"Thank you," Sora said.
"You're welcome. And good luck," Sidney said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel started to head for the forest to find the Battle Palace and challenge Spenser to a battle. Sidney watches them leave and looked at Sora with great interest. He saw a bit of himself in Sora at that age and he somehow had a feeling he would see him again someday. And he would like to battle him in the future when he does. And speaking of future battles, let's hope Sora will try his best against Spenser in the Battle Palace.
