Yukari sighed as she listened to her professor's lecture, halfheartedly writing down about half of what he was saying and what was on the board. She was smart, maybe not as smart as Minato, but she was still very damn smart. But, she really didn't enjoy schoolwork as much as her brother did, and as of lately she had a hard time focusing for obvious reasons. She had done everything Higa asked of her, and Shiina by extension, has as well, so they were both in the man's good graces. She was allowed to leave and go to college, on the premise that he was able to pick her up every single day and drop her off.
She knew she really had no choice or say in the matter. Higa was nothing short of a controlling freak who had to have eyes and ears everywhere. If she didn't agree he'd be more likely to dispose of her and Shiina on the grounds they were no longer suitable to carry out their given tasks than telling her to hit the road. She'd love nothing more than to slam her boot right between his legs and send him ten feet off of the ground, but for her own sake, and Shiina's, she'd keep playing her part and tolerate his bullshit.
At least she got out of that damn tower more often now instead of being holed up like some isolated child. Akame was always there with that bloodthirsty grin and nasty aura. Yukari wasn't sure if Akame could do what she pleased, if Higa or Kakizaki didn't have the heart or nerve to stop her, or if it was all just some test on their part. Ichiya and Oriha had also been there, though not as sadistic as Akame-both of them had quite the mean streaks. Juma, though, had always been there and literally threw Akame and anyone out of the room, a few times things got to heated the green eyed woman would send Akame flying with a deafening thud. Ichiya would always come running to see what was happening or make a retort.
Juma would tell her to shut the fuck up.
It wasn't long after that silence was the only that greeted her until Juma opened the door back up with Shiina at her side, with Akame nowhere in sight, and an assortment of foods Higa had his chefs prepare. Shiina spent the majority of his time around Higa, Kakizaki, and their respective Sekirei-both of the men wanted to get a good reading on the boy and his tendencies, should there ever be a traitor or anything of the sort in their midst this would be one of the first things they look over.
It did help her a great deal she got to speak with Minato much more frequently, and Higa never denied her that opportunity to speak to her kin. Of course, she couldn't call her mother, for obvious reasons. Minato was concerned naturally, and more importantly a bit overwhelmed with Kusano's badgering about Shiina coming over and staying over-she only had one thing to say whenever Minato would breach this subject, and that was simple. She's a child and she will get over it, we're in a cutthroat game for crying out loud!
Minato was always a bit on the naive and soft side, but there had to be a limit to just how naive he could be. Was he truly concerned about Kusano and her incessant whining, knowing that outside of that cozy inn it was nothing short of war zones and fear? Probably not, considering he rarely left the residence. She wouldn't begrudge him for being safe, keeping his Sekirei safe, and keeping himself safe so she didn't worry herself sick, but again, there had to be a limit with just how naive he could be.
She wished she could tell him the truth. The whole truth. How she was being used by Higa as a pawn, and that every little decision and word that she made and that came out of her mouth was deciding whether she lives or dies. But, if she did this then Higa would eliminate her and Shiina swiftly, or the off chance he isn't feeling so nice he could just torture her in front Shiina or vice versa. So, she wasn't really concerned with Kusano throwing fits, while she was living such an easy life. Again, she wouldn't begrudge it, but that didn't mean it didn't piss her off.
Minato needs to learn to take charge once in a while!
Was it that hard to grow a pair?
He has all those Sekirei, he doesn't make a move, and he's more than likely a jittery mess.
Or, maybe, he would a grow a pair now and take charge for once in his life.
In any case class is just about finished, and she has a long afternoon ahead of her. It was going to be extremely unpleasant. Higa would be picking her up via his limousine. Now, normally she'd be fawning over this fact-a handsome man taking her away in a fancy limo, and the fact Higa fit her Bishonen obsession it would be like a dream come true. But, it was nothing short of a nightmare. Higa was a royal ass to say the least, and she felt wary every single time she was around him. The way his eyes remained set as he observed every pore on her body.
Kakizaki would always be at his side giving her the same treatment..
Juma was usually on the couch.
She hoped it wasn't another mission. She and Shiina had both completed well over a dozen missions, flawlessly-Higa's very own words. The missions consisted of heavy reconnaissance-the west was within Higa's view and barring Sanada's five vicious Sekirei, those other brats weren't anything to worry about, and Higa simply had eyes everywhere and kept everything close to his chest. The south had always been one of his priorities, it seemed, but Hayato spoiled the last few attempts to capture unwinged Sekirei with his single numbers Mutsu and Akitsu.
The worst missions were when she had to kill or intimidate including, but not excluding, Ashikabi and Sekirei pairs to becoming a part of Higa's legion. A lot of them refused at first, and were dealt with accordingly, and if they didn't submit they were disposed of not even a second later. It was the same with the news stations, local gangs, Yakuza, Triads, and ronin-if they didn't submit to Higa's will they would be disposed of. If the news played the videos they caught of him and his exploits they would be shut down, and every single person in the building would be down away with.
If anything the man was as cold blooded as a snake.
He didn't tolerate rebellion or disobedience...
But, the worst part was becoming a part of Higa's legion. She was under his eye and thumb twenty four seven. She couldn't eat, sleep, breathe. kiss Shiina, give Shiina, a hand jab if she desired to, eat ramen, anything she did-Higa would know and see it with his own eyes. She witnessed what happened to those that thought to betray him, that he believed needed to be punished and remember their place. Kakizaki or Akame were usually the ones to execute these punishments. The more severe punishments which were nothing short of brutal would be carried out by Juma, with Higa watching with a stony expression the entire time. Kakizaki would then spray them off with fire hoses.
She was forced to watch this several times. Sometime it was Sekirei being punished, sometimes it was humans being punished, and sometimes both were punished.
Few people were in the man's good graces, and from her observations only Juma and Kakizaki were in that good grace.
She understood, now, that this wasn't just a little game. Shiina put it so simply and stupidly when he first explained everything to her, and she had been more than simple and stupid enough to believe it could be so basic. But, this was life or death-people were and are willing to kill, are killing. The last few Sekirei that are unwinged, they are being hunted down from all directions, it was nothing short of a free for all. If she lost Shiina she'd be heart broken, as selfish as it was of her, she only focused on herself and Shiina-ensuring they both remain alive.
Higa's limo was awaiting her as she exited Teito University. Yukari kept her expression schooled, and as neutral as she could, but inside she was seething with anger and caution. Usually she had to walk a few blocks before she came upon the limousine. Juma was waiting outside of the door, which wasn't all that strange, with her arms crossed over her chest leaning against the door. Yukari looked at her very carefully, Higa's limo was like off limits, and the off chance one of his Sekirei or those under him did ruin it-or were a part of it, they would face severe punishment.
"Yukari, how was your day?" Juma asked, opening the door for the shorter blue eyed girl as she neared the vehicle.
"Okay, I guess." Yukari shrugged blankly, meeting those green eyes for a second before looking away. She stepped into the limo carefully, moving all the way to left where there was an open seat, putting her right across from Kakizaki, Oshino, and Akame.
Juma took her seat next to her as the vehicle started to move at a moderate speed. She was honestly rather distracted for the entire day, her conversation with Minato wasn't very pleasant, and unfortunately she could understand him to some degree. It didn't change the fact her hands were tied and he'd just have to do things on his own.
"What's the matter, girl?" Akame asked with a light sneer on her face. "I thought you'd be more happy to see your boy toy."
Higa's brows furrowed in annoyance.
Juma scowled, scooting closer to Yukari. The action was enough to silence Akame.
"Getting a little protective there of that human, aren't you?" Ichiya asked with a smirk.
"If I am that doesn't concern you in the slightest, Ichiya." Juma said coldly, leveling an equally cold glare with the dark skinned woman. "She is charged under me, and if that means I have to put you and Akame in your places at the same time then so be it, you two can't challenge me. I suggest you shut up and focus on the mission.
"College isn't meant to be fun." Higa said, eyes gleaming with anger. The anger wasn't directed at anyone within his confines at the moment, but somebody outside of the confines of his limo. It had been a little over a month ago that one of his informants brought to his attention the fact there were four Sekirei and one Ashikabi skating around the East and weren't a part of his faction. Everyone in the east was a part of his faction, save for the average people. He had eyes and ears everywhere, and for a month these fuckers were evading him. "We have another task to take care of that is most pressing, failure isn't an option."
"What is it?" Yukari resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Higa would belt her if she even thought of performing the rude gesture.
Higa looked to Kakizaki before relaxing in his seat.
"Number 44, Yosuga. Number 75, Niwa. Number 37, Amiko. And, lastly number 28, Natsuka." Kakizaki started in a smooth tone after Higa directed a look in his direction. He adjusted his glasses, running through the information in his head that Kochou managed to scoop up on the four Sekirei. The four were spirited, not the strongest, but refused to give up even when they were outmatched. Their Ashikabi was on the soft side, but had cunning considering he was evading them for a whole month. Controlling them would be a huge asset. "These four have been spotted within our sector along with their Ashikabi, so far they have managed to evade capture. Normally, we'd just dispose of trash like this, but since things are wrapping up by appearance, we're going to recruit them by force."
After all, quadruplet Sekirei were rare, and these four were the only known foursome in existence.
"What if they don't tag along?" Juma asked in an emotionless tone. Not many came along with them at first, and it required a show of brute force. Either it was her slamming someone through a building and sending the whole thing toppling over, or Akame running her spear through a couple of them to shake their resolve. When that didn't work Ichiya and Oshino would come next and start brutalizing them until they either die or submit.
"We do our usual then." Akame grinned.
"You can't be so quick to run your spear through them, then." Oshino spoke up for the first time, a disapproving look in her eyes as she locked them with Akame's. She had no problems with Akame-the woman was sadistic and bloodthirsty, but she always completed her missions to perfection, even if she was covered in blood a majority of the time. But, that urge to kill so quickly would prove to be detrimental sooner or later. "It's better if they're under Higa-sama's control than dead, and that means not going after the Ashikabi like you always do."
"Such a buzzkill..." Akame drawled.
"I'd rather have these five alive and under my control, than dead, Akame." Higa said with a sharp tone, rolling down the window just a bit until his hair flapped with the breeze. He'd always play the numbers game when it really came down to it, it's how he winged so many Sekirei as he has. He was smart and cunning, this was a game, and the Sekirei were the pieces to be moved on the board. "I get a feeling the Discipline Squad is going to be getting more aggressive from this point on, in addition to that there's still Ryu that we have to deal with."
"Word is he fought Koto to a stalemate and they were about to kill each other." Oshino said a bit blandly, crossing her arms over chest with an impassive expression adorning her face. There was no love loss when it came between her and Ryu-she ambushed him with Ichiya, they wounded him pretty bad, but he got them back as well. "There is also the rumor Yume was the one to interfere during their duel to the death. There is merit to this since Yume has been spotted in the north near Maison Izumo."
"He's also lost three of his Sekirei due to that battle." Akame ran a hand through her air, looking a bit bored. "Minato Sahashi was also present, as well as Haruka and number 95, Kuno. Apparently Haruka developed an ability similar to Kuno's...Koto jumped across the destroyed bridge with all intents to kill them, but didn't get his chance because Haruka and Karasuba later on calling him off."
Looks like we've got another problem... Kakizaki mused silently. But, Haruka developing an ability like Kuno's...I'll need Kochou to look into this.
"Get ready, we're close." Juma said in an emotionless tone as she rolled down the window. "I can sense fear."
Akame perked up just a few minutes later, hands clenching around the hilt of her spear. "I think our targets are right there." And, just as she said there were four girls wearing rather cute outfits with skirts following one rather tall and dark haired man.
"Let's get these fools, stop the car." Oshino said, remaining in place as the vehicle came to a halt.
It alerted their targets, however.
"Run!" Two of the girls exclaimed.
"Make it quick. Don't give them a chance to breathe." Higa furrowed his brows, running his thumb across his chin as he gave the order.
Juma and Akame were the first to exit followed by Ichiya, Oshino, Yukari, and Shiina. The first two darted right for the group while the other four flanked around them closing them in from all side.
Higa kept his gaze focused towards the battle, the sounds and noises clear from his mind as he focused on the people involved and his thoughts. He had tried to rope Ryu into his scheme, and then tried to blackmail him in his own way. Needless to say it didn't go over too well and the man just flat out refused his proposal and left Ichiya and Oshino practically naked and badly wounded after the ambush went south.
Ryu had been a thorn in his side since then, and the Discipline Squad was becoming an even bigger thorn if it was even possible.
It didn't help in the slightest Karasuba was Ryu's Sekirei. The woman alone could wipe him, his entire legion, and the tower out all on her own without breaking a sweat. And, not just because she is a single number-she has never been adjusted and is a sadistic woman with an insatiable thirst for blood. Everyone in Teito knew not to cross her path unless they wanted to be run through by that frightening sword.
"Higa-sama, should I make a call?" Kakizaki asked with a sickening smirk on his face, the sun's light reflecting off of the lens of his glasses. Next to Juma he was Higa's closest confidant in all affairs. They planned together, adjusted those plans together, and all around just schemed together working out any little nuances and layering it in contingencies so no one could truly know what their goals were. It had been a very stressful few months for all of them, more and more Sekirei were being winged putting them in a crunch. It was getting to the point where it was easier to simply dispose of these annoyances. "It's been a while since I've last checked in with the three of them, now would perhaps be the perfect time to do so.
"Mmmm, I almost forgot about that." Higa mused softly, a smile touching his face as Juma slammed Yosuga into the ground and Ichiya knocked Natsuka right on her ass with a fist to the face. Akame, Yukari, Oshino, and Shiina came flying from the side taking out the Ashikabi and flooring Niwa and Amiko. It looked like it would be a few minutes before they were fully convinced to join him. "We do have three on the inside, perhaps it's time to put the noose around the neck." He lost Oriha, and four more Sekirei he didn't care to remember. While Oriha wasn't the most powerful or skilled Sekirei he had his uses for her.
Now she was useless.
"Indeed, I say our second one has been playing her role perfectly on the inside. I doubt she's even raised suspicion." Kakizaki chuckled quietly. The best thing about working with Higa and Juma is that they both improvised on the fly if something didn't go exactly according to plan. They always had at least four back up plans, and another ten after those if they didn't work out.
They were aware the first one wasn't going to be completely cooperative, despite the hold they had over her and her friend, and the second was even more rebellious, though she knew well enough not to get too out of hand. So they charged a third person with gong on the inside...And, it was even better since she was a Sekirei. So far she hadn't been found out, the third one, but the first and second...He got a feeling the time was going to start to tick by for them.
Higa smirked. If only he had a fine glass of wine, he'd propose a toast, and maybe even indulge in its effects. There was nothing more satisfying than a plan coming to fruition exactly as they intended it to be without any major screw ups. There were a few small and medium screw ups along the way that couldn't have been anticipated, not even by himself, but the shining grace was nothing major took place. "Make the call, Kakizaki. I want to see all three of them tonight and expect a full debriefing, be sure they know the second part and to come prepared. I will not listen to any excuses."
"Of course, Higa-sama." Kakizaki took out his phone, fingers hovering over the buttons for a few moments as he looked out the window and back to Higa. It was just the perfect time to really blow the shells off of the plan, with MBI-specifically Minaka acting more and more strange. There were also a few Sekirei left up for grabs, and he didn't want to miss is chance. "Shall we go after number 25? She is one of the last Sekirei that have yet to be winged, and according to Kochou she is also the weakest of the Sekirei and an example of what a 'perfect adjustment' is."
Higa just shook his head, mulling it over for a moment. He had no use for weaklings, they were hindrances at best that needed to be dealt with, there was no reason to wing this Sekirei if he was only going to dispose of her soon after. However, there was something that caught his attention "I have no use for such a weakling. What do you mean by 'perfect example'?"
"As you already know by now, the majority of the Sekirei save for several including the early single numbers one through five, have all been adjusted in order to suppress and keep their powers in check. The adjustments came in form of actual physical adjustments, but they were primarily medications designed specifically for the Sekirei to take as they continued to age. The more they aged the more of these medications they would take, in order to keep their powers in complete control and at a manageable level. Number 25 is a perfect example of this. "
"It'd be a shame if they all rebelled and destroyed MBI tower, Minaka's means to an end would be his own end." Higa smirked at the thought, seeing Minaka crushed alive by a steel beam too, it was what made wet dreams. "But, I am aware of this, Minaka is crazy, but he's a cunning and smart bastard. It is why I've been pressuring Kochou to find some way to break those inherent limitations Minaka, Takami, and the rest of those pigs at MBI set onto the Sekirei including herself." So far that task was running into dead end after dead end, after dead end with no real positive results. "This number 25 is the perfect example because all of her powers have been completely suppressed and her adjustment was a total success. So, in other words she's no different than us-humans."
"No, she's not." Kakizaki admitted solemnly. Of all the Sekirei number 25 had to be the weakest, she wasn't even in top ten-and this didn't strictly include the single numbers. Now, skill wise she was quite good, naturally since most of her power was completely sealed away thanks to the special medication, but in terms of raw and brute power she wasn't cracking into the top ten, not even close.
"The prospect seems interesting, but I will have to decline." Higa said after some consideration. "She will be of no use to me in any regard, Ichiya is stronger than her if what you're saying is true."
"So, should she be dealt with?"
Higa nodded.
"I'm going to make the call right now."
And, just as he said this the doors were flung open and five people were shoved without ceremony onto the floor.
This timing couldn't be more perfect. Higa thought with a conniving smirk.
Koto exited MBI tower briskly with a scowl on his face, going directly through the front doors and nearly tearing them off. Takami really pissed him off, as did Minaka, but Takami was scheming something up and he was certain he wouldn't be very fond of it. Where the bitch thought she could interfere in the Squad's matter he'd never guess-she was the head researcher, not a warrior or fighter. She would need to learn her place.
Karasuba and Luna both flanked him, easily keeping pace with his quick strides.
Luna glanced back at the doors carefully before shuffling off towards Karasuba and Koto, easily catching up.
Minaka made their next objective simple. Go to the South, enter the fighting rink again, confront this variable, and haul this variable back to the tower. Koto was thankful Minaka kept it short and direct, one too many times did he speak in riddles and go on and on expecting them to figure it out. It infuriated him, frazzled Luna, and Karasuba quite frankly had no tolerance for it and drew her sword so the point was just a centimeter from skewing his face.
He steered his focus back onto his objective, any petty thoughts, impulses, fleeting thoughts, or anything that had nothing to do with the most pressing matters was promptly ignored and discarded. Takami seemed to be contemplating something before they left Minaka's office, and when she was contemplating nine times out of ten some sort of plan was being formulated in that head of her's. He would be suspicious, but this mission took precedence, and it's one he's waited for a long time now-Karasuba and Luna didn't say anything to him, allowing him to remain lost in his own bubble. He was thankful for it.
Karasuba could read him like a book since she was his mentor and Luna was his lover, she'd always know what was going through his mind.
"Who do you think we should bring with us?" Luna asked softly, breaking the relative silence that fell upon them, once they were several blocks away and keeping a leisure was a snatch and go mission, which means they needed to survey and assess the situation, survey that man's strength, and then take him back to MBI with force if necessary.
"Considering what our objective entails we should bring some level headed people with" Karasuba replied a bit dryly. Nobody on the squad was really level headed. She thrived in blood and violence, though recently she hasn't been getting as much joy when she runs her blade through a weakling. Koto had an explosive and dangerous temper. Luna was just, well, Luna. Benitsubasa was nothing short of a loose cannon, and Haihane was a loose cannon in her own right. Even Kai's Sekirei all seemed to have tempers to some varying degree. "But, this man is exceptionally strong..."
"He couldn't take on seven Sekirei at once, though." Luna said with a careful gaze directed onto her leader. It was crazy to think anything anyone, despite how strong they are-human or Sekirei, taking on seven Sekirei all at once. Karasuba just didn't hand out even the smallest of compliments or praise, she was cold and brutal, it took a lot to truly impress her. Unless she was truly surprised or amazed, it was rare that she'd add anything else other than a small shrug or impassive look.
"No, of course not." Karasuba responded with her signature smirk. "But, I've heard and seen a lot of crazy things since this whole thing happened, and Minaka is all for this, surprisingly enough." It wasn't like Minaka to get extremely wary and grow afraid of what could be and happen to be more precise. Ryu was just unpredictable, there was no telling what he would do next, and roping him in had been an epic fail-on Takami's part. Minato was another wild card, and showed his true intentions and colors at the bridge, and Kai himself had been on the outside like Ryu and Minato until a couple of months ago. Now there is another dangerous and unpredictable variable out there like Ryu or even worse, still on the outside.
"He may not be able to take on seven Sekirei at once, but we should go into this thinking that he can, if we underestimate him it could lead to our demise, and if he has Sekirei, we could be pulled into a trap."
There was no way Minaka was going to let this man roam free in any case, and they were tasked with hauling him back to the tower.
"Can never be too careful." Koto agreed with a light nod. It was borderline lunacy to think a human could take on seven Sekirei all at once, but he wasn't one to ever underestimate his opponents or sell them short. He always took them and the fight serious, from start to finish. It was more likely they could be roped into a trap, and if that were to happen there'd need to be specific people with them. "Hayato could also take his chance and attack us, with this being located in his sector-the south. We'll need to be careful with who we pick."
About an hour later after much walking, they came upon one of the many outposts MBI had all around Teito. They were closer to the south, judging from how everything appeared and the stillness that surrounded them. Hayato wasn't the most hostile Ashikabi, but he was definitely the brattiest.
Koto located Kai standing with Fire Storm at his side, as always, directing MBI soldiers. Haihane and Akiko were both present in addition to the two others, but their tasks were more mundane than directing traffic. Keeping patrol of their perimeters, being watch outs, anything along those lines. "Kai." Koto spoke bluntly, catching the young man's attention in just a few short seconds.
"Is something happening?" Fire Storm asked, curious. Koto looked serious all the time, but looked particularly frosty at the moment.
"We're going to the fighting rink in the South sector. Considering who we could possibly run into and what we're facing, I'm gathering everyone level headed." Koto replied.
Storm got the feeling that wasn't the only reason he was looking so frosty.
Something really pissed off the Demon Commander.
"I want you both to come with us." Karasuba directed her eyes on the two of them, completely serious. She wasn't going to be taking no or anything with the slight semblance of no as an answer. Bringing Benitsubasa this time around would be a disaster, the second the went after this variable, she'd alert him to the whole thing and he'd escape. No, this time, there'd be no escape. "Akiko and Haihane, you both are to remain here. Contact Mei Rin or Kaiha if you need anything else. They're just a few miles away from here, Understand?"
"Yes." Both gave a nod, but Haihane looked very bummed out.
"Since I can't go make sure to get me some new animes!"
He was more than familiar with drugs, and anything of the sort. He never indulged in them, but that didn't mean he wasn't aware of what they did, or where to get them from.
The fighting rink was nothing short of chaos, and while he was expecting some sort of noise and chaos, it was nothing close to this. His ear drums throbbed from the constant incessant cheering, and people slamming their hands and feet down against the cement closest to the massive cage. Even in his cement perch, hundreds of feet above everyone else, the noise was just deafening, and the constant wafting of drugs added a heavy scent to the already metallic atmosphere.
"You okay there, Kai-san?" Luna asked, slightly worried by his dazed expression. She heard of catching a contact, but that was more of a placebo effect, since the person actually had to inhale whatever it was.
"I'm just not used to this." Kai said honestly. He wasn't antisocial by any stretch of the imagination, but he liked the basic things in life. Long bouts of silence, respect, sleep, and spending time with his lovely Sekirei and Fire Storm. He couldn't see himself ever coming to this fighting rink, let alone entering it. The pay was more than good, people could strike rich with the way wages and bets were placed. He himself had to place a bet before he could actually enter the fighting rink. He didn't gamble either, but it wasn't a gamble because he put his money on Karasuba.
"A young man who values silence. I'd say you've struck rich, Fire Storm." Luna said cheerfully, resting her hands in her lap and leaning against Koto's back with her own. Not many men truly valued silence or the simplest of things, preferring to gloat and flaunt what they don't have, and then overcompensate for what they don't have. Koto always valued silence, evident whenever he'd tell Benitsubasa to shut her fat mouth before he shoves a rag into her mouth and gags her. "I never thought I'd meet someone who is quite like Koto."
"Mhm." Fire Storm nodded without any shame and wrapped both of her arms around one of Kai's. "Though, Koto-sama and Kai do have their differences..." Kai was pretty quiet in general, whereas Koto just wasn't very fond of talking and found it to be a waste of time, for example.
"Oh, trust me." Luna grinned a bit bashfully. "Koto is very well endowed."
"Oh?" Fire Storm smirked. A lot of her fellow sisters didn't enjoy to gossip as much as she did, but Luna seemed to indulge in the simple pleasure. "I remember the first time Kai and I did it. I thought it was-
"Excuse me." Kai cleared his throat, none the bit softly and directed a gaze onto both women. He put effort into not leveling a glare with the two of them, this conversation was just so off kilter. He didn't want to hear about Koto and Luna's fun time behind closed doors. Too much information "Can you both not talk about this like Koto and I are not sitting right here in front of you?"
"I know the feeling, I don't think my legs-."
"Stop with your gossip." Koto chimed in. He didn't want anyone to know about him and Luna-it wasn't because he was afraid of what would happen or the consequences, but he kept intimate feelings like that very close to his chest. Quite frankly it wasn't anyone's business if he had Luna's legs in the air for two thousand hours. "If you two insist on talking about this then move a little ways away from us."
"Oh, Kai-sama. I'd never lie about your prowess." Storm teased.
"Don't you start that again." Kai said, shooting a light glare at his partner as he fought the blush from rising to his face.
"I think we'll go over here, silly boys." Luna said, poking Koto on his nose a few times for good measure until he swatted her hand away.
Storm placed a kiss on Kai's cheek before following after Luna.
"Women...I don't get them. Whether they're human or Sekirei." Kai sighed softly, watching Storm saunter off with Luna until they were a good distance away. He could only imagine what they were talking about and none of it could be pleasing to his or Koto's ears in the slightest. Sharing stories about the bedroom, honestly. Did those two have anything better to do? Better to talk about?
"Who are you telling?" Koto asked with a light sigh. Honestly, it didn't matter whether a woman was human or Sekirei, they'd always hop onto that gossip train and start sharing stories. Did they ever hear of a thing called modesty? Oh, no wait they didn't, considering they walk around in skinny bikinis practically naked...Then they have the nerve to get mad when a man stares too long. "I can just imagine what those two are talking about now."
"Is that the guy?" Kai broke the silence after dozens of minutes.
"Wild hair, that's him." Koto growled, already having his sword on the handle of his sword as he watched Karasuba stare him down. "Let's go."
Both were gone in a flash.
Luna and Storm sprinted after them.
"Guess those two have more in common than we thought." Storm surmised but smiled as she neared her partner who was now in pursuit of their target.
"Yeah." Luna rolled her eyes lightly. "Keep an eye out for this man's Sekirei, I get the feeling we're being led right into a trap."
Storm grinned. "So, we'll spring the trap."
