On January 15th, Aria and Clover worked together to make breakfast for Luke. They took the food to his room.
Lisa sent new invitations the other night, so that was over with. Tina was at a Broadway show and couldn't make it, however.
Luke sat in front of his window, in a stormy mood.
Aria came in. Luke refused to look at her.
"Happy anniversary, Dad!" Aria says. Luke smiled and hugged her.
"Thank you, my darling daughter." Luke says as he sees the breakfast that was made for him and ate it all.
With the others, they were setting things up. This was a milestone anniversary for Luke this year and they wanted it to be as amazing as he was.
They used photos and banners, and even arranged all of Luke's anniversary gifts. There were a lot of gifts from his fans.
Luke soon got ready for his day. He smiled at the fact that he would get to perform today. He heads out to prepare. Chalice goes with him.
Aria was walking with Jackson.
Joe sees them "Hey." He says. Aria blushed.
"So, it's your dad's anniversary." Joe says as Aria nods.
"I got him a gift." Joe says.
"Did you take it to the party already?" Aria asked. He nods.
Soon, Luke was getting an anniversary interview. Gemma asked him some questions.
"What was this about having your invitations thrown out?" Gemma asked, curious to know the story behind it all. He told the story as Gemma took pity on him.
The culprit was Luke's former dad. Luke hissed on camera.
Oliver sees this. He wanted his father dead. Oliver goes off to find him.
The show was soon starting.
"Cuppy and Mugsy! Cuppy and Mugsy!" The crowd was worked up to a fever pitch. Yes, the show was in their hometown of Inkwell. Gemma and April took the stage.
"Welcome to our Freestyle Festival show, right here in the Inkwell Isles. This show is in the Inkwell Theater!" April says.
"Tonight's show is chock-full of freestyle performances! And tonight, four teams will be sent packing as our Semifinal Six will be determined for the semifinals show in New York City. So, if you want your team of choice in that, you know to vote for 'em!" Gemma says.
"Coming up first, the amazing duo of Carol and Connor Pingrey!" April says as the sibling duo comes on stage.
The crowd cheers for them as they perform "Happy" by Pharrell Williams.
"Coming up next is a duo who wants to perform a song for Luke's 20th anniversary." Gemma says.
"Presenting Aria Huntington and Jackson Roberts!" April says.
Fans cheered for them. They then begin their performance of "Holding Out For A Hero" by Jennifer Saunders from the Shrek 2 soundtrack.
The crowd was in awe and Luke was a bit surprised. They soon finished by tipping their heads. Luke smiled and clapped for his daughter. Mugman clapped for his son.
Chalice thinks of her birthday in a few days. Luke holds her when she starts crying.
Beau and Beatrix went up next. They performed "Wannabe" by The Spice Girls.
The crowd got into it as they danced and sang along.
Luke got ready with Chalice.
"Coming up next, the man who has been performing for 20 years today…" Gemma begins to introduce Luke.
"Luke Huntington and his wife, Mrs. Chalice! Tonight, they are performing one of their original skits. Presenting The Cooking Couple!" April says.
Luke and Chalice appear on their kitchen set.
"Happy Anniversary! Happy Anniversary!" The fans chanted to Luke as they cheered.
Luke smiled. He and Chalice then perform "Simply Irresistible" by Robert Palmer and "Best Served Cold" from JT Music as they do their "kitchen antics".
Fans cheered for them. Luke feels like bringing this skit back was a bad idea as his confidence tries to plummet. Luke started to tremble.
"Lukey?" Chalice asked.
Luke runs off after the skit ends. Gemma looks very concerned. And so does April.
"Luke?" Luna says.
"I can't!" Luke cried. "It was a bad idea to bring that routine back!"
"It was a good idea." Luna says.
"People loved it!" Chalice says. Luke sniffed.
"Yeah, right…" Luke says, looking down. April and Gemma tried to comfort him.
"They just want your brothers!" Luke shouted at his wife before crying again. He then stood to his feet and walked off with Luna at his heels.
"Luke, that isn't true…you have more votes than them." Gemma says as she tries to show him, but he doesn't want to look.
The show continues. But Luke was long gone, shedding tears as he teleported out of the Inkwell Isles.
Luna teleported after him. She was the only sibling who could make him feel better at this point.
Luke looked at her as she sat with him.
"Luke, hey, I know you're in first place." Luna says. "Everyone loved your performance."
"Lies!' Luke says. "They just want their hometown heroes!"
"Hey, Luke, you wanna get ready for your grand entrance?" Luan asked. But she could see he was stressed.
He runs to be alone.
"Luan, you need to realize he's very unconfident right now." Luna says.
"How do we boost his confidence back up?" Luan asked.
Luna decided to sing for Luke. Luke looks tearfully at her when he comes back. She does her best to comfort him, and he smiled a bit as he leaned against Luna.
Meanwhile, the cups were performing "Jump Around" by House Of Pain. The crowd was getting into it.
This hurt Luke as soon as he saw it. He was having an anxiety attack. Luna carried him out of the theater and back to the castle. At that point, the top 6 teams were announced.
It was Luke and Chalice, Beau and Beatrix, Cuphead and Mugman, Connor and Carol, and Aria and Jackson alongside a random team in the sixth spot.
"Cuphead, you ruined Luke's anniversary." Lucy says.
At the castle, Luna finally got Luke to calm down.
"Luke, it's going to be okay…let's go celebrate you. It's your day!" Luna says.
"IT'S THEIR DAY!" Luke sobbed.
"Luke, it's your day, please calm down…" Lucy says
"I want them executed!" Luke screamed.
"Sweetheart, stop that." Charity says, which made Luke even more mad and sad.
"They're going to win. Aria's going to win. But Luke won't win…" Luke sobbed.
"There is a chance this may be because you hurt Oliver…" Stephen says.
"Not true. Luke would never do that." Leni says as Oliver remembers Luke ruining his cake on his birthday. Oliver cries.
Luke looks down as Oliver runs off.
"Can I CELEBRATE NOW?!" Luke screamed, clearly mad.
Leni blindfolded him and got him in his anniversary suit. Luke was hissing very loudly.
Luke soon arrived at the party.
"Ladies and gentlemen, he's here to cheer and he's acted on stage and screen for 20 years…your favorite star and mine…Luke Huntington!" April says with a smile.
Luke enters the party with a smile on his face. He walked the red carpet. People clap and cheer for Luke as he waves and smiles some more.
Lucy sighed as Lisa came over to Margo.
"Margo, Jackson, I'm sorry for your future loss." Lisa says.
"Loss?" Margo asked.
"Luke's mad. I read his mind. He's really considering executing Cuphead and Mugman if they win. Or screw his anniversary up. He takes his events seriously." Lisa says.
Luke opens his grandma's gift, which was a book of his best acting moments. He smiled.
Before he picked up another gift, Chalice walked up to him and sobbed.
"What?" Luke asked.
"YOU'RE GOING TO KILL MY BROTHERS! I LITERALLY CAN'T BELIEVE IT AND NOW I DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE IT! YOU'RE SO HEARTLESS!" Chalice cried before she ran off.
"Dad would probably go to hell…" Edwin says.
"I actually have to agree…wait, death?! what did I do?!" Mugman says.
"You stole my day. Thanks a lot, you ruined it!" Luke sobbed, running away as he sees that Cuphead and Mugman had more votes.
Kettle went to comfort Chalice. Chalice cries into his chest. Lucy sighed.
"Wahh!" Aria sobbed. Charity comforts her.
"I just wanted a month with no family drama!" Aria sobbed.
"Sweetie, stay with your aunt Luna for a few minutes, okay? I have a 25-year old baby to punish!" Charity says, leaving with fury in her eyes.
Meanwhile, Angry Luigi noticed Alem tuber go off on an adventure.
"Hey, Mario, we should probably get ready for the Olympics, not to mention the Smash anniversary." Sonic says.
"Pika Pika!" Pikachu says
Emma thinks and senses something.
"What?" Link asked.
"Who is Tabau?" Emma asked.
"Oh no!" Mario says.
"Major bad news, looks like we have a big mission to save the multiverse!" Mega Man says as Meta Knight flies off.
Angry Luigi looks at the screen as Emma pushed her brother
"We have to help!" Emma says.
"Or we could leave it to the others." Angry Luigi says. Emma gave him the puppy eyes.
"Fine." Angry Luigi says.
Meanwhile, Luke was fuming as he looked and saw Cuphead, Sonic, Mario, and Kirby, talking with the others forming a game plan.
"You!" Luke screamed and tossed flames at Cuphead, but Sonic speeds over and grabs Cuphead.
"Hey, Luke, not now we have a multiverse to save, so go celebrate your anniversary and leave this to us!" Sonic says.
"I'm not ready to die…" Cuphead says, almost milking himself out of fear.
"Wait, is your milk like pee or what?" Sonic asked
"Uh…" Cuphead says as Sonic quickly let it go.
"Cuphead, wanna help us save the multiverse? I mean, we already invited you to the biggest party in the multiverse…" Samus says.
"Sure, it's an offscreen adventure right?" Cuphead asked
"Sure, we don't actually have a full budget." Sonic says.
"I'm in!" Cuphead says.
Luke stormed home and begins burning photos and stuff in rage as Lucy and Lynn grab him. Leni slapped Luke across the face to calm him down as everyone was stunned. No one saw that coming.
"I'm so sorry…" Leni says.
"Now it's my turn." Charity says as she stared her son down.
Luke pissed his pants, scared, seeing his outfit ruined. "My anniversary outfit!" Luke cried.
"Luke, how could you threaten to kill Chalice's brothers?" Charity asked. "She considers those cups family to her! Your wife is beyond devastated!"
"They stole my day like Oliver did!" He screamed. Charity smacks him.
"Keep Oliver out of this!" Charity screamed. Luke sobbed.
"You. Hurt. Chalice!" Charity shouted.
Luke looks ashamed of himself as his guests just looked on in shock.
Luke sees some left. "Anyone who leaves is going to regret it." He says.
Mugman hid behind Margo as Jackson clung to him and cried.
"Do you even see what you're doing to the kids?! Jackson is going to lose his father because you can't learn to take the loss of your lead position like an adult!" Charity then smacked Luke on the behind, hard. "You should be lucky that you're in the semifinals!" She shouted. Luke whimpered.
"The party is off until further notice." Charity says to the remaining guests. The guests looked at Luke in disgust before they left.
This made Luke cry. "Please…I'm sorry…" he sobbed.
"If you're so sorry, then you wouldn't have devastated your wife and scared your daughter." Charity says,
He looked ashamed of himself.
"You need to accept that you're not always going to win. You wanted to execute your wife's family because they were better? Well, you won't. Your attitude these past few months has shattered Aria. Chalice is thinking of getting a divorce because you can't control yourself." Charity says. "You are out of control."
"I'm autistic. I can't change that." Luke says.
"You can change the way you act. Or lose your family because of your attitude." Charity says. Luke sighed and went to apologize.
Luke found Chalice sitting with Kettle.
"Chalice, I'm sorry." Luke says. Chalice sniffed and shook.
"Y-You wanted my brothers…t-to die…" Chalice cried.
"I know, but not anymore. I'm sorry." Luke says.
"And the party isn't happening right now." Charity says. "You have lots of apologies to make."
Luke went to Aria next.
"I'm sorry, Aria. I've been a horrible father." Luke says. "I really need to fix my attitude and try to do better."
Aria sniffed and hugged her father.
Mugman was holding Jackson as he sobbed.
"There, there, son…" Mugman says, patting Jackson's back. "It's going to be okay."
"You're going to die!" Jackson wailed. Mugman gave Luke a very stony stare when he approached them.
"I'm sorry, okay?" Luke says. "Where's Cuphead?"
"On an adventure. He won't be back for a while." Drell says. "Like a week."
"GOOD!" Chalice screamed before leaving. She felt hurt for a different reason since she had already forgiven Luke.
"What about my party?" Luke asked.
"Fine. We'll have it another day." Charity says. "For now, I think you need to go think about what you did." She says.
Luke sighed and went to bed. He knew better than to argue.
