Okay, readers. Here is the fifth chapter of this story!
Now, this happens to be the official start of Chapter 1 and the events that unfold from the chapter. Hope you all look forward to this.
Anyway, for this chapter, Andrew and Goombella witness a dragon flying overhead, they reach a nearby village, and learn some stuff that involves finding some stones to get to the location of the Crystal Star, and some other stuff will occur too. How will this go for the two adventurers? Find out right now!
IN THE PETAL MEADOWS:
In no time at all, Andrew and Goombella successfully exited from the other side of the pipe as they climbed out and set foot in Petal Meadows. Andrew had been preparing himself for the dangerous land that he'd be exploring first as he went through the pipe.
However, when Andrew caught a good glimpse of the location, he was caught a little off guard. The area of Petal Meadows was the exact polar opposite of what he saw in Rogueport.
The area of Petal Meadows was best described as being a beautiful-looking plateau with plenty of trees, flowers, green hills, and some small wooden picket fences. Overall, it was just peaceful in appearance. The meadows 'definitely' lived up to its name, as Andrew seemed amazed for a minute.
But then, he had started thinking. The Crystal Star was supposed to be around here. And while it does seem fitting to start the first leg of an adventure in a beautiful place like this, he had seemed rather suspicious of it. Something didn't seem right to him, and he felt his cynical side start to surface.
By contrast, Goombella was just smelling the air and was pretty psyched to know that this would be how their new adventure started. Being a bit more cheery and somewhat optimistic about this, Goombella decided to comment on the location.
"Well, here we are!" Goombella declared. "The Petal Meadows, where folks say a Crystal Star hides."
"Yeah. Sure seems like it," Andrew was less enthusiastic about it, as he felt something was off.
"Woo hoo!" Goombella cheered. "Here we go, Andrew! The start of our adventure! This is completely awesome!"
"If you say so," Andrew jumped off the pipe and went to a couple of nearby trees that were behind him. Goombella jumped down and smelled the fresh air once again as she decided to say.
"Sure it is! The Petal Meadows is a beautiful plateau surrounded by hills far to the east of Rogueport. It's mild and pleasant here all year round. I love it!" Goombella beamed before asking Andrew. "Doesn't it feel nice?"
As soon as Andrew hit both trees, getting a Mushroom from the right tree and a Star Piece from the left tree, he pocketed both of them as he looked around the area.
"Oh yes. It's nice alright," Andrew admitted before sighing and walking towards the ledge of steps leading towards the ground. "But something about it is not quite right..."
"Huh? What do you mean?" Goombella was puzzled by this.
"Well, for one thing, there's supposed to be a Crystal Star here," Andrew took out the map and opened it before pointing to the Crystal Star on the map. "The map says that it's near this area. Where we have to find this Crystal Star."
"Diamond Star," Goombella told him dryly as she approached him.
"What?" Andrew asked in confusion.
"The Diamond Star. The name of this Crystal Star is the Diamond Star. All the Crystal Stars have precise names that were given to them," Goombella explained. "I've read it in several books that I looked into regarding the Crystal Stars, the Thousand-Year Door, and the legendary treasure hidden underneath Rogueport. Just look at the star. It looks like it's a diamond shaped like a star, don'tcha think?"
"Hmm," Andrew looked at the star on the map and realized that Goombella was right. The star did look like a diamond in the shape of a star. "Hey, your right. This does look like a diamond in the shape of a star."
"Exactly. And you'll see what the other Crystal Stars are named after later on," Goombella informed him. "Right now, we should find out where the Diamond Star is. It's gonna be fun looking through these beautiful meadows."
"I dunno about that," Andrew jumped down one of the ledges to land on another ledge before reaching the ground. "There's also something that's bugging me. Something doesn't seem quite right about this area..."
"Now what are YOU talking about Andrew," Goombella was surprised to hear Andrew talk like this as she followed Andrew. "There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with this place at all. All I see is a beautiful location filled with lush green hills!"
"I get that. But I also get the feeling that something is bound to happen at any moment," Andrew said rather cynically as he jumped onto the ground below. "I think something bad is going to happen around here. I just know it."
"Oh, Andrew! Stop being so cynical about this, will ya!?" Goombella had to yell at him as she followed. "There is no need to feel that something is going to go wrong in a peaceful place like this! I mean look at this place. Nothing bad's gonna happen! So what could 'possibly' go-"
Goombella didn't get to finish her sentence as the two adventurers heard a bellowing roar echo throughout the meadows, getting their attention. They were wondering where the heck it came from when suddenly, a giant shadow was shown right over them as they saw something humongous fly right past them. Goombella was 'really' shocked to see this as Andrew was examining the creature from a distance.
"Whoa! What was that?" Goombella uttered softly as she then saw exactly what Andrew was looking at, and had trouble finishing her sentence. "Ooh! Is that a..."
"I believe the word you're looking for is 'dragon'," Andrew told her dryly. "Because yes, that happens to be a dragon."
"Wow! Andrew! Look!" Goombella managed to shout as they watched what was, indeed, a dragon, fly off.
It was a giant red dragon that was flying off to the castle in the distance, roaring all the way. Andrew couldn't make out its appearance quite well from afar. The only thing he knew was that it was giant and red. The red dragon managed to fly into a massive window on the top part of the castle.
Andrew knew that something was off, and that red dragon that came out of nowhere proved his suspicion. Goombella was still a little shaken up as she finally found her voice.
"'Totally' incredible..." Goombella admitted shakenly. "I've never seen anything that humongous before."
"Yeah. Who would've thought that a dragon would be seen flying around in a place like this?" Andrew questioned in a deadpan tone.
"It looked kinda scary, too," Goombella remarked upon gulping.
"Well, I would assume that a dragon wouldn't be anything but scary," Andrew pointed out dryly.
"Uh-huh. Weird..." Goombella uttered. "Professor Frankly said this place was peaceful."
"I guess maybe he managed to overlook this one rather important detail," Andrew pointed out.
"Yeah. You're probably right," Goombella nodded. "Still, wow! Crazy! We just started, and already there's intrigue! C'mon, Andrew! Let's go!"
"Got it," Andrew then took notice of something else that was ahead of him. "Say, by the way, Goombella, do you notice these stone panels that are right in front of us?"
Andrew pointed towards them as Goombella looked at them. There were three of them. The two smaller ones that were on both sides of the bigger one had an empty slot in the center of them that was in a specific shape.
The one on the left was the shape of a crescent moon. And the one on the right was the shape of a sun. The middle one had an odd resemblance to a warp pipe. This got Goombella intrigued as she examined them.
"Wowzer. Gosh. This is amazing," Goombella had gotten a close look at the two smaller ones and the slots. "It looks like there's a puzzle that has to be solved! It's 'absolutely' mysterious."
"Sure looks like it," Andrew walked right over to Goombella's side.
"Omigosh, Andrew! This is a mystery that we'll have to solve later on! I can feel it," Goombella was already starting to get excited about it. "As an aspiring archaeologist, I should know!"
"And if I'm not mistaken, then solving this puzzle might have something to do with that castle that the dragon just flew into," Andrew snapped his gloved fingers as he pointed out. "And that solving this puzzle will allow us to go into the castle. Especially since I have this hunch that the castle hides something important that we'll need to go after, like maybe the Diamond Star."
"You may be right. 'Actually', scratch that! I think you're 'totally' right on that," Goombella had to beam as she went over and rubbed her head against Andrew's right leg. "See? You're getting the hang of this adventuring thing already. This is going to be fun. Trust me."
"I suppose you're right," Andrew nodded as he walked over to a ?-block and smacked it with his hand, revealing another Mushroom that he picked up and put into his backpack. "Well, we better get going. If we're lucky, there may be a village nearby."
"In a place like this, there usually is," Goombella admitted as she followed Andrew. "Let's continue, Andrew."
"Sure thing, Goombella," Andrew couldn't help but smile lightly at this as he and Goombella continued through the Petal Meadows. He could only wonder what else he could discover in a peaceful place such as this one...
As Andrew and Goombella continued getting through the Petal Meadows, Andrew had to take in everything that he was seeing. Aside from the big red dragon and the scary castle in the distance, he realized that this place was overall peaceful like Goombella told him. It seemed like a pretty idealistic place to live, if not for that dragon.
As they were traveling, Andrew found a Close Call Badge in a red ?-block, which he then put into his badge kit that Goombella gave him, and he collected some coins from another block.
He also noticed the patches of dandelions that he walked through, and also the Candy Pops that were shown on both sides of the road. The place seemed quite an awful lot like Pleasant Path.
There were some Goombas in their way, but Andrew and Goombella made quick work out of them, and they were dispatched in seconds.
Andrew also noticed the Happy Heart badge that was on a wooden block a few feet from the long pipe above that could be reached with the nearby lower-level pipe. Unfortunately, the badge was beyond his reach, so he had to forget about it for now, until he had something to get it with.
Eventually, Andrew and Goombella made it to where a running stream was shown, which made it impossible for them to cross since there was no bridge to use.
"Well, I guess we can't get by. The bridge is out, it seems," Andrew frowned at this. "Now what should we do?"
"Hey. Y'know, Andrew," Goombella decided to give him some Tattle advice. "Checking out some nearby bushes might expose something valuable to you. Those two bushes over there look like they hold a secret, which could be revealed if you check 'em."
"Hmmm," Andrew looked at the two bushes that were right near the riverbed. "Hey. Maybe I should check them out."
Andrew decided to rummage through those two bushes, which resulted in them being pushed to the side. Immediately, a green pipe was revealed behind it, which got him curious.
"Wow. It's a pipe!" Andrew exclaimed. "I better check this out."
Andrew then jumped onto the pipe as he went down through it as Goombella watched. She saw Andrew on the green hills in the distance as he came out of the pipe that was shown there. She was surprised to see him being able to do something like that.
"Hmmm... This is strange," Andrew then noticed something in the distance. It was a blue-colored switch with an '!' in the center. "A switch? I bet this might be the bridge switch."
Without hesitation, Andrew rushed over to the blue switch and hit it with his bat. The switch disappeared and he then saw something happening.
The bridge that was supposedly out was put back up mysteriously right where the riverbed was located. In a matter of seconds, the bridge was completely put back up, and Andrew was surprised.
"Hey Goombella!? The bridge is back up!" Andrew called out to her from the distance. "We can get across!"
"I know! That was cool!" Goombella hollered back. "I'll meet you on the other side!"
"Right," Andrew then saw a Star Piece nearby as he went to collect that and pocketed it.
Andrew went back to the pipe and decided to meet back up with Goombella on the other side of the bridge, by going through the pipe.
Immediately afterwards, Andrew emerged back up and jumped down from the pipe, and crossed the bridge, where he saw Goombella waiting for him.
"That was 'totally' awesome, Andrew," Goombella beamed. "But how d'you suppose that was possible?"
"You know, I don't think we should question it," Andrew informed her as he found a 'Fire Flower' in the ?-block nearby. "What's important is that we got across the riverbed."
"Yeah," Goombella then saw a gate ahead of them, indicating that they were approaching a village. "Andrew! Look!"
"I see it. It's a gate," Andrew observed the nearby town just up ahead. "I guess this means that we're approaching a locale town."
"Sweet," Goombella smiled. "Let's go check it out."
"Right," Andrew nodded as the two adventure walked further before they made it to the strange town that they never heard of before...
IN THE TOWN OF PETALBURG:
Andrew and Goombella managed to enter the small town and they got a good look at the location. It was just as peaceful as the Petal Meadows. The residents that took up this place consisted of Toads, Koopas, and Bub-ulbs; the latter of which Andrew recognized as having come from Flower Fields.
Overall, the place seemed an awful lot like Koopa Village; only the houses were more standard in appearance instead of being shaped like Koopa shells. There was even a stream flowing through the riverbed, which was probably linked to the one that Andrew and Goombella crossed just recently.
As Andrew and Goombella had gotten a good look at the location, someone had approached them. It was a standard green-shelled Koopa, and he seemed surprised by how they suddenly stopped in their town.
"Welcome, travelers!" The Koopa had gotten their attention.
"Uh, hey," Andrew greeted back before he asked. "Where are we, exactly?"
"Why, this is Petalburg!" The Koopa revealed the name of the town. "Sorry, but it's been a long time since we've had visitors here. We're kind of remote."
"Is that so?" Andrew was curious about this.
"Yeppity, once that dragon Hooktail was spotted flying around this area..." The Koopa said rather nervously before he finished his sentence. "Well, it didn't help tourism, put it that way. People just stopped visiting."
That would explain why the bridge wasn't up until I pressed that switch. Andrew thought.
"Hey, Andrew! That huge thing we saw earlier was a dragon," Goombella realized.
"I told you it was a dragon," Andrew crossed his arms with a slight smirk on his face before realizing something that the Koopa just said. "Wait, did you just say it's name is Hooktail?"
"Yeppity. That's correct," the Koopa confirmed.
"Oooooh, scary name! Pffffft!" Goombella had a sarcastic tone in her voice before making that sound with her mouth.
"No kidding," Andrew deadpanned in agreement as he rolled his eyes.
"So anyway, Green Boots," Goombella decided to change the subject before asking. "Have you ever heard of these things called 'Crystal Stars'? We're on this quest for them. It's very important!"
"Crystal Stars, you say? Hmmm..." The Koopa did some thinking before he came short with nothing. "Nope, can't say that I have. Sorry about that."
"That figures," Andrew sighed.
"You might want to speak with the mayor, though. He's old... Really, 'really' old," the Koopa advised them. "As such, he knows all kinds of stuff we don't. Koopas of his age, are...um...[really] smart."
"You don't say," Andrew had a rather perplexed look on his face.
"Yeah. Anyway, the mayor lives in that pink house up ahead. You should go check it out." the Koopa informed them.
"A pink house? Sounds 'totally' hideous...but it should be easy to find. Thanks for your help!" Goombella thanked him before looking towards Andrew. "C'mon Andrew! Let's find that pink house!"
"Pink house. Right," Andrew said as they started walking through the town. "That shouldn't be hard..."
"Right," Goombella then saw a nearby store. "Look, Andrew! They have a store here. Might want to stock up on supplies before we head out again, don'tcha think?"
"Good idea," Andrew nodded. "We could use some extra supplies in case we get in a rut."
And so they decided to check out the store and purchase some supplies. They managed to purchase a couple of Courage Shells, a jar of Honey Syrup, and two Mushrooms that were for Andrew and Goombella respectively. After they had bought a few stuff that caught their interest, they left the store.
It was then Andrew took notice of a Bob-omb standing in front of a nearby house. The Bob-omb was white, had navy blue shoes on, had a thick back mustache, and wore what he assumed was a service cap. Andrew was a tad curious as he decided to find out who he was.
"Hut! I am General White. I am a Bob-omb! And I have lost my hopes and dreams," the Bob-omb named General White told him in a rather depressed tone. "My heart has grown cold... I must apologize, but I ask that you leave me alone."
"All right," Andrew decided not to argue as he left with Goombella. "Let's go Goombella."
"Right," Goombella obliged as Andrew took one last glance at General White.
I get the feeling that that guy will become important to us later on... Andrew thought. Much later on...
Eventually, the two travelers made it to the other part of town where they passed by a Bub-ulb. They then managed to find the pink house, which was right next to a fenced garden with a bunch of Turtley Leaf bushes.
"Well, looks like that's the place," Andrew pointed towards it.
"Yup," Goombella nodded. "Let's go see the mayor of this town."
Andrew bobbed his head as he and his Goomba partner walked right up the door and entered the mayor's house.
The mayor himself happened to be named Kroop, and he had green-colored skin instead of the yellow-orange that the other Koopas seemed to have. Aside from the green shell and brown boots, Mayor Kroop had a bushy beard and bushy eyebrows that pretty much covered his eyes completely. And in his right hand was a cane, which was likely used for him to get around.
Andrew was convinced that this was the mayor, as he decided to get his attention.
"Excuse me, sir," Andrew greeted, having succeeded in getting his attention.
"Hmph? Whuzzat? Someone there? Who is it?" Mayor Kroop demanded rather frantically. "WHO?! What do you want from me?"
"Well, you see, we-" Andrew started to say, but Kroop immediately cut him off.
"I know! You're thieves!" The elderly Koopa immediately came to that assumption. "Here to rob a defenseless old Koopa! Despicable!"
"WHAAAAAAAAT!?" Andrew and Goombella managed to yelp before Andrew tried explaining it to him. "Nonononono. We're not thieves, sir. We aren't here to steal anything!"
Of course, Mayor Kroop didn't listen to a word they said, as he continued with his rant.
"Go on, do what you will...but as you can 'plainly' see, there's nothing to steal here," Kroop showed them his house which didn't have anything worth value for them before he went on.
"Oh, I guess I have a little money... Take it, you 'fiends'. And my antique shell, too," he took out some money and showed them his shell. "Just leave the photos of me and the missus. Can't do without those memories..."
Andrew had a blank look for a few seconds before he moaned and then pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Okay, Mr. Mayor. I think I need to clear the air here," Andrew then explained to him. "We aren't thieves. And we aren't here to steal anything from you."
"You're not?" Mayor Kroop was now confused as he put his money away.
"No," Andrew had to proclaim. "We're here because we needed to ask you about the Crystal Stars since there happens to be one in this area."
"So that is your story, huh?" The Mayor had to confirm it for himself.
"Yes," Andrew and Goombella said in unison.
"Well, why didn't you pipe up before, you ijit!" Kroop had to chatise him. "We're just wasting time, here!"
"I'm starting to think that the mayor is senile," Goombella uttered, rolling her eyes.
"Now, the Crystal Stars you say you're hunting... Errrmm..." The mayor had to do some thinking for a second. "Wait... What did I hear about those dang things, again?"
Andrew had his arms crossed while Goombella had an impatient look on her face. It was then Kroop remembered exactly where the Diamond Star was located.
"Aha! Got it! Hooktail! Hooktail's got what you're looking for!" Kroop proclaimed. "It's this enormous, ornery dragon. Eats folks, they say. Lives near that castle far off from Petalburg. You know Hooktail, right?"
"Yeah, we have. And we saw it head for that castle too," Andrew then took notice of something else he said. "Wait, what did you say about it eating folks?"
"Well, this Hooktail's brutal fly-by snackings have all of us on pins and needles," Kroop exclaimed.
"So let me see if I have this correct. Hooktail has been flying through this village and eating up the Koopa residents here," Andrew figured out before turning to face Goombella. "And I guess we should help these guys out, right Goombella?"
"You betcha, Andrew," Goombella said.
"Ahem," Kroop got their attention again. "So, are you reckless fools... I mean... are you gallant heroes off to rough it up?"
Andrew 'actually' took notice of how he referred to him and Goombella as reckless fools. But he decided to disregard that as he got to the point.
"Yeah. We'll take care of Hooktail," Andrew said. "We'll get rid of that dragon and make sure it never eats another Koopa in this village again."
"This DOES sound promising!" Kroop was ecstatic by what Andrew promised them. "Why, if you can rid us of Hooktail, we'll shower you with gratitude and rewards."
"Oh, come on," Andrew was sounding modest again. "You don't have to do that for us. That won't be necessary."
"So you'll accept no reward?" Mayor Kroop questioned.
"That's right. We don't need anything from you guys when we defeat Hooktail," Andrew said humbly. "The Crystal Star is all we want. Right, Goombella?"
"Yeah. We'll just take the Crystal Star with no rewards from the people of Petalburg," Goombella commented.
"What an unselfish man!" Mayor Kroop complimented. "You're noble, indeed... Yup, a good egg."
"Oh, well, we do what we can," Andrew rubbed the back of his neck in flattery.
"Now... What did you say your name was, again?" Mayor Kroop had to ask.
"Oh right," Andrew then decided to introduce himself. "The name's Andrew."
"...Audrey?" Mayor Kroop managed to mishear Andrew's name. "Hmm... That's a fine name. Yes, a fine name, indeed. Well now, Audrey..."
"Uh, actually sir, it's 'Andrew'," Andrew corrected him sheepishly while tugging on his handkerchief.
"His name is ANDREW, you crazy OLD COOT!" Goombella had to yell in irritation.
"I appreciate that, Audrey," Kroop completely ignored Goombella. "They ARE nice eyebrows."
"Oh, forget it," Andrew shook his head, not bothering to correct the elderly Koopa for getting his name wrong.
Oh yeah. This mayor is 'DEFINITELY' senile... Goombella thought, rolling her eyes once again.
"Now, listen up," Kroop then moved on. "If you're intent on going to Hooktail's castle, find the secret pipe near this village."
"Secret pipe?" Andrew raised an eyebrow at that.
"Yes. I don't know where it's at, but I know you need Stone Keys to use that pipe," Kroop exclaimed.
"Stone Keys," it was then Andrew figured something out as he turned to face his Goomba partner. "Hey Goombella. Those Stone Keys must be the things that we need to put into the slots on those stone panels we saw earlier. If we find the Stone Keys and use 'em on those stone panels, we can solve the mystery that could be related to this secret pipe!"
"Yahoo!" Goombella jumped up and down as she approached the muscular man. "Glad to see that you're getting the hang of this adventure business, Andrew!"
"I know," Andrew then decided to ask the mayor. "So where are the Stone Keys?"
"The keys are somewhere in Shhwonk Fortress, just past the village gate towards the East. Get them first." Kroop advised them.
"Shhwonk Fortress," Andrew was perplexed by the name of the fortress. "A rather weird name, but okay. We'll do it."
"Well then, Audrey... Get going and take care of that Hooktail monster!" Kroop yelled out as he pointed towards the door with his cane.
"You got it, Mayor," Andrew then faced Goombella. "Let's go Goombella. To Shhwonk Fortress."
"Right," Goombella followed Andrew as they left the Mayor's house and went for the gate leading to Shhwonk Fortress.
After passing by two more houses, they made it to the gate, which was being guarded by a Koopa; who was supposedly the gatekeeper.
"Well, we better talk to this gatekeeper first," Goombella advised Andrew.
"Right," Andrew then approached the Koopa. "Excuse me? Is this the way to the Shhwonk Fortress?"
"Yes. But a stone creature lives there. At least, it MIGHT live there," the Koopa explained to him. "This gate is to keep it out. My job...is guarding the gate."
"I see," Andrew then informed him. "But the mayor said we can go there to get the Stone Keys."
"Oh. Well, that's different," the Koopa remarked. "If he says it's OK, then I'll let you pass. Careful out there, though!"
"We will be," Andrew watched the gatekeeper unlock the gate and open it for them. "Let's get going Goombella."
"Gotcha," she smiled as they were about to leave the village when someone was heard calling for them.
"Umm... Excuse me!" This got them to stop in their tracks as they slowly turned around. "Err... I beg your pardon! Wait a moment, PLEASE!"
Andrew and Goombella turned to see the source that the voice was coming from. It was a Koopa.
Aside from having yellow skin as a contrast to the other Koopas' yellow-orange skin, this one was also noted for his left eyelid, which was half-closed, and he wore a bandage on his nose. He was also wearing a light-blue, short-sleeved jacket with a hoodie, and how he was able to wear it under his green shell the way it looked was anyone's guess.
Along with that, he was wearing blue pants, and finally, he was wearing white shoes with tan-colored heels on the bottom. From the looks of it, the Koopa seemed rather shy, as Andrew noticed this, judging by his posture.
The shy Koopa rushed over to Andrew and Goombella as they were curious about what he wanted.
"Pardon me for yelling like that..." The shy Koopa told them. "I was panicking."
"It's fine," Andrew didn't seem too thrown off by this.
"Right... Umm... How to begin?" The Koopa decided to introduce himself. "M-My name's...Koops."
"Well Koops, my name is Andrew," Andrew then pointed to his Goomba partner. "And this happens to be Goombella."
"Yeah. Nice to meet you," Goombella said. "Now, what can we do for you?"
"Well, I heard you're traveling to Hooktail's castle." Koops pointed out.
"It sure seems like it to me," Andrew shrugged. "We just have to get the Stone Keys first from Shhwonk Fortress."
"Uh-huh... Got it," Koops muttered under his breath before getting to the point. "So, anyway, I, uh... I have a favor to ask."
"Well sure," Andrew had that patient and understanding expression on his face as he gave him his full undivided attention. "What's up? What do you want to ask?"
It looked as if Koops was moving his mouth, but no words were coming out. How can he say it to them? What can he say to them? It 'definitely' involved Hooktail and it was something on a personal level for the shy Koopa, but Koops just couldn't come out with it. Andrew and Goombella took notice of this as the former got his attention.
"Yes?" Andrew asked him, trying to encourage him to come out with it.
"Well... Ummmm..." It was then Koops decided to give up as his shyness got the better of him. He couldn't do it. Not in front of the people in this village. "Oh, just... Just forget it. Never mind. Ignore me. Good... Good-bye."
Andrew was about to call out to him, but before he could, Koops had already run back to his house, which happened to be the center house between the Mayor's house, and the other house that's near the gate. It was then that Goombella stepped up and raised her eyebrow at his erratic behavior.
"OOOOOO-K... That was weird..." Goombella expressed her thoughts. "What do you think THAT was all about, Andrew? Talk about issues!"
"I don't know, Goombella," Andrew said with a worried expression on his face, looking towards the same house that Koops just ran into. "I think he 'really' wanted to tell us something..."
"Well worry about him later," Goombella informed him. "Right now, we have to get those Stone Keys from Shhwonk Fortress! C'mon!"
Andrew had to sigh. She was right. They needed to get the Stone Keys before heading to Hooktail Castle anyway. "Right. Okay, let's go to Shhwonk Fortress."
Andrew then went past the open gate with Goombella trailing right behind him. They were planning on getting to Shhwonk Fortress, as they were unaware of the obstacles that they'd have to get through just to get the Stone Keys. But they would surely find that out for themselves...
END OF CHAPTER 5...
Yeah, that's it for this chapter. So Andrew and Goombella made it to Petalburg intending to head to Shhwonk Fortress next to get the Stone Keys. Oh, and they both got to meet Koops for the first time, who will play a role in their journey in a little bit. Not to mention Andrew's cynical side was in full swing at the beginning of the chapter. With that said, I hope you've enjoyed the chapter.
Anyway, I have nothing else to say since I've said everything I needed to say previously here. So for the next chapter, Andrew and Goombella head to Shhwonk Fortress, deal with some stone monsters, take a rather unexpected gameshow-esque quiz, go into the sewers underneath, collect the Sun and Moon Stones, and deal with Fuzzies, among other things. So, how will this all go for them? Find out next time, readers.
In the meantime, only if you're up for it, you can leave a review and let me know what you think of this chapter. This is only the start of Chapter 1, so just be patient.
Otherwise, that's all that I have to say. So until next time, I hope you look forward to the remainder of Chapter 1. And with all that said, thanks for reading once again, guys!
