The Daughter of Damon Salvatore

Chapter Sixteen

Jessica opened her eyes and instantly regretted it. She had a really bad migraine, and her body ached all over.

She squinted her eyes and looked to her right to see Damon sat in the chair next to her bed. His body was bent at the waist as his upper body and head rested on Jessica's bed next to her elbow. She smiled at how sweet and innocent he looked when he was asleep.

She turned her head back and saw Stefan stood at the foot of her bed, leaning against one of the posts.

Stefan smiled as he saw Jessica watching Damon sleeping. He could tell that her thoughts matched his own. When Jessica's eyes moved and finally found his own, Stefan waved at her.

"How are you feeling?" he asked her.

Jessica tried to move her body and immediately groaned at the pain in her arm.

Damon's head snapped up instantly upon hearing Jessica's moan of pain.

"Jessica? What's wrong?" he asked, worry lacing his voice.

"I'm fine, I think. My head and arm are killing me!" she exclaimed.

"Yeah, you hit your head really hard and got a concussion and you broke your arm and shoulder" Stefan explained.

Jessica looked shocked as the events of the previous evening slowly caught up to her.

"Oh god! What happened after we killed that woman?" Jessica asked.

"Well, Frederick fled. Then you threw up and passed out, scaring the shit out of both of us. Stefan dealt with the body and the destruction downstairs, and I dealt with you" Damon explained.

"Was I in a bad way then?" Jessica asked.

Damon and Stefan nodded aggressively, they'd both thought she was dead.

"You were bleeding heavily from your head. Damon had to give you his blood to stop your head bleeding and then he re-set the bones in your arm and shoulder to make sure that his blood healed it correctly" Stefan told her.

"Well, that explains the throbbing in my head and arm then" Jessica chuckled.

She moved her non-injured arm and felt the back of her head, grimacing when she felt the dried blood crusted in her hair.

"Whilst my blood healed you, you still might feel a bit achy for a couple of days while your body recovers completely" Damon explained.

"Ok" Jessica whispered.

Noticing her discomfort, Stefan spoke.

"Do you have any aspirin or painkillers that I can get for you?" Stefan asked.

Jessica nodded.

"Top drawer in the bathroom" she replied.

Stefan sped into the bathroom and opened the top drawer, he had no idea what the medical terms that were written on the boxes were so, he grabbed all of them and fetched a glass of water before heading back into Jessica's room.

"Ok, I have all your tablet packets here as I'm not sure which ones you need" Stefan said.

Damon helped manoeuvre Jessica into a sitting position as Stefan handed her the glass of water.

"Ok, I have a box of pteroylglutamic acid, paracetamol, Tylenol, and microgynon" Stefan stated, struggling to correctly pronounce some of the names on the boxes.

Damon and Stefan looked at the boxes and then stared at Jessica.

"Just how much medication do you take?" Damon asked, concerned that he never knew she had any of these in her possession in the first place.

"I don't take all of them every day at the same time!" Jessica exclaimed.

Stefan stared at her and asked which ones she needed.

"Tylenol would be good, it's a tiny bit stronger than just paracetamol on its own" Jessica stated.

Stefan handed her the pills and put then put the Tylenol and paracetamol aside.

"What about these other two – the pterodactyl and microguy?" Stefan asked.

Jessica giggled as she swallowed the Tylenol.

"Pterodactyl and microguy?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Look, they are really long and complicated names, ok? I was proud of myself for being able to pronounce them correctly the first time!" Stefan defended.

Jessica laughed, and Stefan was glad his goofiness was bringing a smile to her face.

"Seriously though, what are the other ones?" Damon asked trying to keep it light but really wanting to know what medications the teen had access to.

"Ok, the pteroylglutamic acid is my folic acid pill. I have always had mini battles with anaemia since I can remember, and the folic acid helps to combat the anaemia and the symptoms that come with that. It also helps my fertility so that it gives me a fighting chance to be able to easily have children of my own one day despite the problems I have with the anaemia" Jessica informed him.

Stefan nodded in understanding as he put the box down next to Jessica as he had done the others.

Damon looked at her worriedly, he didn't know she had problems with her blood.

"And the other one?" Damon pushed.

"The microgynon is my contraceptive pill" Jessica answered.

In his goal to cheer Jessica up, Stefan made an overly dramatic show of throwing the box down on the bed with the others and grimaced comically as if it had offended him.

Jessica laughed at his actions.

Stefan grinned back; mission accomplished.

Damon stared in horror at how jokingly Stefan was being about all the boxes of pills.

Jessica noticed and stopped laughing.

"Damon, lighten up" Stefan instructed.

"Why do you have so many?" Damon asked, concerned.

"Well, I have to take the folic acid and the pill every day – so I have about three months' supply of each and then I put in a new prescription when I start to run low. I have different painkillers because, depending on the pain, sometimes a paracetamol is enough without needing the stronger Tylenol pills" Jessica explained.

"Why did you get put on the pill so young?" Damon asked.

"You really need me to answer the obvious?" she snipped.

Damon went pale at her implication.

Stefan, who was still unaware of his niece's life back in England, felt uncomfortable by Damon's question.

"Damon!" Stefan exclaimed awkwardly, knowing that the pill had multiple uses.

Jessica grinned at Stefan's awkwardness.

"I think the wrong brother went back to school" Jessica teased.

"Damon, it's rude to ask a woman about girl things" Stefan blushed.

"Not when I have concerns for my daughter's health, Stefan" Damon snapped at his younger brother.

As the brothers lightly argued back and forth, neither noticed Jessica staring in wonder at Damon.

Damon noticed her staring.

"What?" he asked.

"Nothing don't worry" Jessica replied.

"No, you tell me right now, what's the matter?" Damon asked, encouraging her to speak up.

Jessica looked down at her bedsheets with interest.

"It's just, I think this is the first time you have openly acknowledged that I'm your daughter" Jessica murmured, not wanting to look up.

The brothers fell silent.

Damon looked thoughtfully at the teen and Stefan smiled widely at the girl who was going to save his brothers humanity.

"You are part of the family regardless, whether Damon acknowledges it or not…don't forget that" Stefan responded when no one else spoke.

Jessica nodded, risking a look up at Damon who was staring softly at her.

"Well, on that note, Jessica you might want to freshen up and get changed, if you feel like it. I really need to go out and feed" Stefan suggested as he made her aware that she was still in yesterday's clothes.

Jessica nodded in agreement.

Stefan moved to help Jessica stand, just in case she felt lightheaded again.

Upon entering the bathroom, she looked uncertainly at the shower. She really wanted one but was worried that she was too achy, exhausted, and dizzy to withstand one.

Stefan noticed her hesitation and frowned.

"What?" Stefan asked.

"I'm worried I might get dizzy and fall in the shower or pass out in the bathwater" Jessica admitted despite the fact that she really wanted to wash her hair and be clean again.

"Stefan, you go and feed before you start to desiccate. I will take care of the damsel in distress" Damon said from the doorway of the bathroom.

Stefan nodded in appreciation; last night's attack had depleted him.

After Stefan left to go and hunt, Damon turned to Jessica.

"Sit down on the toilet seat for a minute while I grab you a clean bath towel and some fresh clothes" Damon instructed.

Jessica did as she was told and waited for Damon to come back.

When he did, he instructed her to get in the shower.

"I will stay with you, back turned obviously, but you tell me if you feel dizzy or like you're going to fall, and I will assist you if absolutely necessary" Damon explained.

Jessica nodded and thanked Damon.

Damon turned his back and stood in the bathroom doorway, facing intently into Jessica's bedroom.

He heard Jessica climb cautiously into the shower somewhere behind him and turn the water on.

Jessica was thankful that Damon was staying and the appreciation she had for the hot water and shampoo was even more welcome.

Jessica washed the clotted, dried, blood from her hair and enjoyed the feeling of soap as she rubbed it into her body, washing away the disaster of the night before.

She had to stop momentarily when she felt slightly dizzy and sat down on the shower floor for a moment.

Damon heard the unusual sound of her seating herself on the shower floor and resisted the urge to rush over and check her for injuries.

"Everything ok back there?" Damon shouted behind him.

"I'm fine, I…I just needed a minute" Jessica replied over the sound of the water.

"Just take your time, and go slowly, there is no rush and no need to injure oneself further" Damon said.

"I will" Jessica agreed as she slowly stood back up, the dizziness had passed.

She finished the rest of her shower and finally shut the water off.

"Ok, I'm done. I just need to grab my towel…" Jessica stated.

Damon noticed the towel was still folded neatly on the closed lid of the toilet seat next to where he was stood.

"Don't come out for a second" Damon instructed as he grabbed the towel and took three steps backwards towards the shower.

Still without turning his back, he stretched his arm out behind him and held Jessica's towel in his hand.

"Towel" he stated.

He heard the shifting of the shower curtain and felt the weight of the towel disappear from his hand.

"Thank you" Jessica said.

"Welcome" Damon murmured back as he stepped forward towards the doorway once again.

Jessica dried herself off in the shower and now focused on the task of putting on fresh clothes.

"Ok, I'm coming out" Jessica said.

"Ok" Damon replied.

A second later, he heard the shower curtain glide open, and Jessica step out.

Jessica quickly changed into her fresh clothes and hung up the towel over the railing.

Damon deemed it safe to turn around and looked Jessica up and down to ensure that she really was ok.

Damon moved back into the bedroom and Jessica followed him, he watched as she grabbed her hairbrush and ran it through her sodden, clean, black hair – his hair.

Damon gave her a small smile and was glad that she looked healthier than she did when she first woke.

"Better?" Damon asked.

Jessica nodded.

"Good. Let's get you out of this room and move downstairs. We can sit in the snug and watch TV if you want. You definitely need something to eat" Damon stated.

Jessica nodded, a TV and food kind of day actually sounded really appealing.

Damon and Jessica headed downstairs.

Damon instructed Jessica to go and set the TV up while he made some snacks. He grabbed a load of snacks and then set to work cooking some scrambled eggs and sausages.

He then walked into the snug where Jessica had put on Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves to watch.

She looked up as he entered the room with a load of drinks and snacks in his arms.

"Loads of junk food and, one scrambled egg and sausage butty for the British kid" he chuckled as he handed her the plate of food that he had cooked for her.

Jessica's eyes lit up at the sight of her favourite food and thanked him as she took the plate and practically inhaled her food.

Damon sat beside her and watched in amusement as she devoured the food. Damon was just glad to see her finally eating a decent meal.

.

.

.

A few hours later, after the movie had finished, Jessica helped Damon clear up.

"Did you really make a deal with that Pearl woman?" Jessica asked as she dried up the dishes.

Damon nodded.

"The deal doesn't really work if she cannot control them though, does it?" he said.

Jessica agreed.

She watched Damon as he washed the plates and noticed that he was slightly tense.

Jessica frowned.

"What's wrong?" she asked him.

"Stefan hasn't come back from hunting yet. He normally doesn't take this long and he's not answering his phone. I don't know if I should be worried yet as he might have gone to see Elena" Damon sighed.

Jessica looked at him and gasped.

"Did you try calling Elena?" she asked.

Damon nodded.

"She didn't answer either" Damon confirmed.

"Well go round there! If she's home, then Stefan should be there with her. If she's not there, Jenna or Jeremy will know where she is and if Stefan was going to be with her or not" Jessica suggested.

"That's what I was thinking" Damon replied.

He thought for a moment.

"Ok, decision made, I'm going to Elena's" he announced as he grabbed his jacket, phone, and keys.

"Wait! I'm coming with you" Jessica stated.

"Er…I don't think so, it could be dangerous for you" Damon said.

"If last night were to be repeated whilst I am here on my own, I wouldn't stand a chance. I don't want to be left here alone. Please Damon…" she begged.

Damon stared at her and knew that either option was dangerous. However, if Jessica came with him, at least he could protect her rather than risk leaving her in the house alone to defend herself.

"Ok, come on then" he agreed as the pair headed out to Damon's car in the pouring rain.

.

.

.

At Elena's it was confirmed that Elena was home, and ignoring Damon, but no one had seen or heard from Stefan since he had left that morning to go and hunt.

They were all worried.

Damon, Jessica, and Elena ran to Damon's car, and he sped off towards the middle of nowhere where he knew that Pearl and the tomb vamps were hiding out.

Upon knocking on the door, Frederick answered and showed Damon that they did indeed have Stefan.

Damon rushed back to the car where Elena and Jessica were waiting anxiously.

"They have him" Damon stated as he climbed into the driver's seat.

"Well go in and get him!" Elena ordered.

Damon shook his head.

"I haven't been invited in" Damon stated.

"We can go in!" Jessica offered, referring to Elena and herself.

Elena readily agreed.

"Are you nuts?!" Damon exclaimed.

"You think I am letting two teenage girls walk into a house full of vampires? No way, we need back up!" Damon stated in a no-nonsense tone.

"Where the hell are we going to get back up?" Jessica asked.

Damon did not speak but drove his car over to the high school.

"What are you going to do? Get the cheerleaders to chant until the vampires' ears bleed?" Jessica sassed.

"DO NOT sass me right now! I am not in the mood" Damon growled as the three of them raced into the school.

"We're going to ask Alaric, aren't we?" Jessica asked.

Damon nodded.

.

.

.

It took a lot of persuading and some threatening however, Alaric found himself knocking on the door of a house full of vampires.

He hadn't believed his eyes when two of his students, and his wife's murderer, clambered into his classroom insisting that they needed his help to save Stefan.

He hadn't believed himself when he reluctantly agreed to do it.

As the door to the house opened, Alaric felt his adrenaline start to pump through his veins. The vampire let him in to 'use the phone' and prepared for an immediate attack. Once Alaric had successfully killed the vampire, he grabbed the houseowner and told her to invite Damon in.

When she refused Damon told Alaric to take the woman outside.

Anger flooded Ric's veins when Damon snapped the spinsters neck.

Damon didn't care, he just wanted his little brother back.

Out in the car, Jessica and Elena got restless and impatient. For all they knew, Alaric and Damon could be dead.

The girls hatched a secondary plan to scout around the back of the property. Jessica knew that she could at least have the element of surprise on her side, worst case scenario.

"Let's check the basement steps" Jessica whispered.

Elena nodded and the two girls descended towards the basement.

The iron door to the basement opened, and the two girls entered the property.

They stayed together and tiptoed through the basement corridors.

Jessica spotted a man sat at the end of one of the corridors, he looked like he had headphones in and was listening to music.

Jessica and Elena saw an opportunity and walked through a door that was open, before the man could spot them.

Jessica covered Elena's mouth before she could make a sound at the sight of Stefan strung up and bleeding, he looked as though he was in agony.

The two girls creeped towards Stefan and Stefan opened his eyes and was surprised, but pleased, to see them both.

Elena and Jessica held their fingers to their lips in a 'shushing' motion. Stefan nodded weakly in understanding and Jessica tried to unbind Stefan's hands whilst Elena worked on untying Stefan's feet.

Stefan groaned in agony as the vervain ropes repositioned on his skin as the girls tried valiantly to remove them.

"Well, what do we have here?" Jessica and Elena were startled from their rescue attempt as the man who had been listening to music appeared in the doorway, blocking them in.

The vampire stalked towards them, grinning at the thought of two free meals.

However, before he could take another step, he halted mid-step and then fell to the ground.

The girls looked up and saw Damon stood behind the vampire in the doorway, heart in hand.

"What the hell do you two think you are doing?!" Damon hissed quietly.

"Rescuing…" Jessica whispered back.

Damon glared at the girls. He looked at Elena first.

"You are in big trouble" he stated.

Then he turned to Jessica.

"You are in bigger trouble" he glared at her.

He wasted no further time though, and refocused his attention to Stefan, knowing that they didn't have much time now to get him out.

Damon grabbed one of the ropes and hissed as it burned him instantly.

"Oh! Do you need some help?" Jessica asked sarcastically, sassing Damon again.

Damon glared at the teen once more.

"What's crawled up your ass and died today?" Damon quipped; he was in no mood for her attitude.

"Guys, we haven't got time for this" Elena begged as she finally managed to untie Stefan's feet.

Jessica went back to untying Stefan's hands and, on her third attempt, she got it.

Damon was ready to catch Stefan's weight and supported his brother as Stefan found his footing.

Stefan was severely weakened, but at least he could stand.

Stefan begged the girls to help Harper, and then Elena supported him as she walked the corridors that would take them to the back exit of the house where the girls had originally entered.

Jessica didn't answer as she felt a tingling sensation in her hands. She was momentarily confused, believing that her magic was acting up.

However, when she looked down at her hands, she noticed that they were slightly blistered and really itchy. Like she had rubbed her hands with poison ivy.

"What the hell!" she looked at her itchy hands in confusion.

Damon noticed as well and looked curiously at her.

"You're allergic to something" Damon stated as he delicately held her hands in his whilst he inspected them.

"I didn't think I was allergic to anything. Except fish" Jessica replied.

"We can sort it out later, we need to get out of here" Damon stated as he noticed that Elena and Stefan were long gone by this point.

"I'll create a distraction upstairs, go back out the way you came in" Damon ordered as he headed up the stairs towards the main floor of the house.

Jessica wasted no more time and headed for the basement stairs that would take her outside.

When she reached the iron door that had been unlocked when she and Elena had entered, she found that this time, it had been locked.

"Aww, are you stuck princess? Our prisoner has already escaped, I'm not letting anyone else leave" one of the vampires taunted from the other side, the outer side, of the now locked iron gate.

Jessica gasped as she took several steps backwards. She felt a little relieved to hear that Stefan and Elena had managed to get out before the vampire had locked the basement gate.

The vampire grinned as he teasingly jangled the keys in front of her face, he then unlocked the gate again and stepped inside the basement, locking the gate behind him once more. He then started walking towards her, like a hunter stalking its prey.

Jessica ran like the wind and headed up the stairs that she had watched Damon go up a minute or so before.

The vampire was still walking at human speed behind her, enjoying their game of chase.

Jessica clambered up the stairs and ran out into the hallway of the main floor of the property.

"What are you doing?!" Damon exclaimed as Jessica saw him and Alaric taking down some of the vampires.

"Vampire" Jessica gasped out, slightly out of breath.

Damon and Alaric looked at her in confusion until the vampire, that had stalked her through the basement, appeared at the top of the stairs behind her.

Jessica froze as Damon tried to kill the vampire he had already been fighting with quickly. He knew Jessica was in danger. Alaric was doing the same, knowing that whoever finished their vampire of first would have to make it to save Jessica.

However, Jessica held her own.

She grabbed a cup of whiskey that was on the hallway dresser and chucked it over the vampire.

The vampire laughed at her.

"Was that meant to do something?" he asked.

Jessica focused on the where the liquid had landed on the vampire and, a few seconds later, the vampire was on fire and screaming.

Alaric finished his vampire off first and ran to Jessica's aid. He shoved a stake through the flaming vampire's heart for good measure. The vampire dropped to the ground dead, and still on fire.

He then grabbed Jessica by the shoulders and shook her lightly.

"Jessica?" he called her name.

Jessica was broken out of her trance and focused on Alaric's face and the sound of his voice. The moment her concentration was broken, the flames disappeared.

"What the hell was that?" Alaric asked in astonishment.

Damon, who had finished off his kill, joined them.

"She's a witch and has magic" Damon stated bluntly.

"A witch? I don't believe…" Alaric began to say in shock.

"He say's as we battle a group of vengeful vampires. Let's save it for later, we need to get out of here" Damon ordered; they didn't have time for this.

As the three legged it out the front door, they took in their surroundings.

Vampires had them cornered from all angles, they were trapped.

"Back in the house, now" Damon ordered.

The three of them backed up into the house and cornered themselves against a wall, prepared for another onslaught of attacks.

"What is going on out here?" they heard a female voice ask.

The front door handle rattled, and the door opened.

Pearl and Anna walked in and were shocked at the carnage that was in front of them.

Pearl looked at Damon for an explanation.

"Your lot spent the day torturing my little brother. The deal doesn't work if you can't control them! Not a way to get on my non-existent good side Pearl" Damon warned as he swaggered past her and back outside, he knew the other vampires wouldn't attack now that Pearl was there.

Jessica and Alaric followed.

They got back to the car just as Elena and Stefan were getting in.

Stefan was covered in blood and Elena looked shaken.

Damon raised his eyebrow in question but did not say anything, he just wanted to get them all the hell out of there.

.

.

.

After they had dropped Alaric off, Damon, Stefan, and Elena went back to the boarding house. Stefan immediately ran up to his bedroom.

"Ok, what happened with you two?" Damon questioned, looking at Elena.

Elena sighed.

"He was dying and wouldn't wake up. Frederick was coming at us, and we were both as good as dead" Elena said.

Damon nodded, waiting patiently for her to continue.

"I gave Stefan some of my blood" Elena admitted.

"You did what!" Damon exploded at her.

Jessica just stared at Elena in shock, even she knew that this wasn't going to lead to anything good.

"I didn't know what else to do!" Elena argued back.

"You have no idea what you have done!" Damon shouted at her.

Elena took a deep breath.

"Look, he seemed ok. Quiet and contemplative, but ok" Jessica tried to find the positives of the situation.

Damon nodded hesitantly.

"I'm going to make sure he's ok" Elena announced as she headed for the stairs.

"Elena…be careful, ok? Shout for me if you need to" Damon advised her.

Elena nodded and gave him a small smile before heading up to find Stefan.

Damon and Jessica stood in silence as they held their breath, waiting to hear any sounds of screaming or scuffling.

When none came, Damon relaxed slightly and focused back on Jessica.

"What you did today was extremely stupid" Damon stated.

"I know but, Elena was going with or without me. I felt safety in numbers…can't hurt having witch-y powers to hand" Jessica shrugged.

"Well, you weren't entirely unharmed" Damon said, indicating towards Jessica's hands.

Jessica stared at her hands that were still covered in a blistered rash.

"Did you work out what it was?" Damon asked.

Jessica bit her lip.

"I think it was the vervain" Jessica admitted.

Damon stared at her in shock.

"Really?!" he asked.

Jessica nodded.

"I'm half-vampire, it would make sense that the vervain causes some kind of reaction when I touch it. The vervain I wear doesn't have direct contact to my skin…" she trailed off as she played with the piece, she had taken from Stefan on her first day living there.

"Do you really think so?" Damon asked uncertainly as he stared with interest at the silver around Jessica's neck.

Jessica shrugged.

"I don't know but, I can't think of anything else that would explain it" Jessica stated.

Damon nodded and the two fell into silence once more.

"It's interesting that you chose that" Damon finally said as he nodded at the piece of silver she wore.

Jessica looked down at the piece in question and frowned, Stefan had once said the exact same thing.

"Why?" she asked, genuinely curious.

"That was mine" Damon stated.

Jessica fiddled with the silver.

"What did you use it for?" Jessica questioned.

"It's called a masonic medal; I got it when I went to fight in the Confederate Army during the Civil War" Damon informed her.

"You were a Confederate?" Jessica asked.

Damon sighed.

"Not by choice, I didn't agree with the war at all" Damon replied.

"Then, why did you join?" Jessica asked.

"My father ordered and enlisted me to join. Once you had joined, there was no backing out unless you deserted, for which you would be killed. A coward's way out" Damon stated.

"That sounds tough, I'm sorry that you were forced to fight for something you didn't agree with" Jessica whispered.

"It was a very long time ago; I deserted in the end. My father hated me even more than he already did for that. He told me that I was a pathetic excuse of a man and completely washed his hands of me after that. I was his regret and disappointment" Damon said bitterly.

Jessica was impressed.

"Well, I think it was brave of you. It's never easy to stand up for what you believe in when you know that your family and friends would be against you for it. Whilst deserting was probably the worst thing a person could do at the time, you did it for your own moral reasons. It wasn't cowardly...you knew that deserting could lead to you being killed, and you did it anyway...brave. That's something you should be proud of; I know I am" Jessica replied.

Damon's heart lurched at her words. He had always viewed his human war days as his most cowardly and shameful time in his life. Yet, here sat someone whose opinion he cared about, as she told him that she was proud of him. He couldn't remember the last time someone had told him that they were proud of him, in fact, he didn't think anyone ever had.

He looked at the young teenager and smiled at her in thanks. Jessica smiled back before turning her attention to the medal once more.

"When I first saw this, it did remind me of the identity tags that soldiers wear to war now, I was drawn to it the second I laid eyes on it. Do you mind that I have it? I can give it back" Jessica said.

Damon shook his head.

"I wouldn't dream of asking you to give me something that protects you. You keep it, it looks better on you than it ever did on me anyway" Damon grinned.

"Thank you, I really do love it" Jessica admitted.

"Then it's yours" Damon replied.

Jessica smiled and fiddled with the medal for a few more moments before letting it fall snuggly under her t-shirt, back against her chest. She swore to always wear it with pride, it would remind her of bravery and having the ability to stand up for what you truly believe in.

Jessica then looked towards the direction of the stairs; she was really worried about Stefan now.

"This isn't going to end well, is it?" Jessica asked rhetorically.

Damon poured himself a glass of bourbon and sat down of the couch.

"Nope" Damon sighed in response.

"I think we are going to have problems with this" Damon said as he sipped his bourbon.
