Chapter 18: Before War Comes, Age 16 Day 2

"Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt."

― Sun Tzu, The Art of War

Naruto & Jiraiya

"You know nothing."

Though his words have less impact from the way Naruto twists at his arm, his attempts to wrench it away futile.

Naruto leans close to him, enough for him to force his gaze.

"That's where you're wrong Obito. I know everything about the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan, that you came here wondering why Pain would give up all his goals, would sacrifice himself after years of building up the Akatsuki and hate of the world to force everyone under his rule."

Obito stiffens, openly looks at him fully now.

"Danzo...he was right when he said you and that Hyuga have been time looping."

He snatches back his arm, winces as ripples of pain course through, hums through his blood.

This isn't a Naruto he can handle, this one can kill him if he doesn't retreat; now.

"Tell Danzo when you see him that I'm coming for him, that he'll be dead or on his way to it before this day is over." Naruto promises.

He cant be sure that will truly put an end to his and Hinata's looping, but he can't let him live. Not when he'll continue to endanger Boruto and Himawari, not when Hinata and her clan must constantly be on the lookout for him and his associates.

Obito chuckles harshly then, dark eyes twisting between him and Jiraiya.

"Heh, so much for peace then; huh? Going to become a murderer?"

Naruto scoffs though his stomach churns hearing such a title bestowed upon him. A shinobi is either happy to know they live another day after a high ranked mission or masking anger and upset that they had to kill another person who wanted the same things as them...

To live, be with family, loved ones, and friends.

There's rarely anything in between that except the relief their brush with death didn't come true.

"Yes, for my wife and children. Besides-"

Naruto returns his grip to his arm in a flash before he can use kamui, twists it until the sickening crack rings out.

Obito wheezes out a curse as Naruto leans in once more.

"Besides, I've already unfortunately done it once. I can do it again.

Obito slips out of his hold, arm limp at his side forcing his features to one of stoicism.

Calm.

"His death won't change our plans; go for it."

And then he departs in a flurry of leaves and snow, droplets of red pooling in white dust and flakes left behind.

Jiraiya pats a hand to his shoulder, jolting him.

"Geez Kid, just how many enemies do you have?!"

Though his playful tone holds an edge of somberness, a wondering what he meant by already having killed before...

'Can't bombard him with questions just yet.'

Naruto sighs, deflating.

"Too many to count these days."

Jiraiya chuckles, salutes him at 'joining the club' before gesturing to the main center table where a now cold breakfast awaits. He takes out his logbook from beneath a tatami mat, pats the spot beside him.

"Well, time to catch me up to speed as usual Naruto, where have you and Hinata looped to since you last saw me? You go first and then I'll tell you what I learned."

Naruto reviews back through all that he and Hinata have done since he last saw him from learning about Danzo's rise in popularity in the village to trying to gather information from Kakashi on how he was during his time in the ANBU. There's multiple considerations of what they should do to deal with Danzo's threats and the information Kabuto has already collected in terms of how it will affect themselves along with Boruto and Himawari.

"Danzo isn't one who will be easy to kill, especially when he knows he's being targeted." Jiraiya mentions coolly, crossing his arms in deep thought.

'Though it's not undoable.'

Naruto shrugs, if Sasuke could do it when he was around this age, then so can he and Hinata.

"Is Danzo already popular in the village, and why are we here near the Land of Iron? Is the Hokage summit still happening?"

Jiraiya holds up a hand to stop his bombardment of questions.

"Whoa Kid, I said was going to explain my side! Now to start off things, yes the summit is planned on how to deal the Akatsuki's current threat to each village. However, at this point with the knowledge you and Hinata have given me, we've been able to delay their capture of the Four Tails and prevented more deaths from occurring. They moved many of their plans and operations underground once Deidara and Sasori were captured and killed during their Suna mission to capture the One Tail."

Naruto brightens a bit, always nice to hear some good news out of his and Hinata's looping.

But then his smile falls into a grimace, sighing and clasping his hands together. "I can assume that even though the Akatsuki have loss in numbers, they've made their plans more chaotic; dangerous?"

Jiraiya nods, popping a bit of egg and rice between his teeth. "Yeah, particularly targeting people who knew their plans before they even happened."

He lifts up his shirt then and Naruto's eyes widen, stomach sinking taking in the zigzag of scars that mar his chest and arms, marks deep enough to be a shade darker than his normal tannish skin.

Naruto swallows, grits his teeth balling his hands into fists. "Pervy-sage-"

Jiraiya shakes his head, stopping him. "Don't be upset, we all gotta take one for the team and it was my turn! Nagato got a little desperate towards the end, but hey, I'm still here alive and kicking!"

His words do nothing to quell a rage simmering in his chest and he's sure he sees it probably in the way his eyes flash vermilion.

He calms his breathing, shutting his eyes though not forgetting the way those cuts run across his body like a river, that he must've been bleeding out at some point to need bag upon bag of transfusion to survive...

"Danzo has just been planting too many seeds of chaos that it's difficult for I and my spies to stay on top of him. Like I'm sure I mentioned to you before in another loop, when he isn't trying to usurp the title of Hokage from Tsunade, he's purposefully starting little fights between Konoha and the other nations hoping they'll roll into something bigger, has probably even gone to the Akatsuki to try and get them to capture you next so that he can report to the Tsunade's advisors she isn't doing enough to protect you and the village." Jiraiya goes on.

Naruto snorts, 'protection' when all he wants is for him to be imprisoned and to use Boruto and Himawari for his own personal gains.

"He keeps to the shadows, right?"

Jiraiya nods, observing as Naruto makes himself a bowl of tamagoyaki with miso soup. He feels a smirk rise knowing he has something in mind, rubbing his hands against his pants knowing it's going to be just as chaotic as what Danzo has been up to.

"What's on your mind Kid?"

Naruto looks up at him between sips of soup, cerulean eyes turning devious.

"Well, we can lure him out of said shadows via Sasuke. One of the most dangerous ways Danzo can attack is via all those sharingan he had implanted in his arm, he would want nothing more to add to his collection."

Jiraiya's brows furrow. "Naruto, Sasuke isn't going to team up with you at this age, even if it is to kill a common threat."

Naruto waves away that idea. "Oh, I know he's not. I just need Danzo to think he's going to be dealing with the both of us. You and Hinata will be assisting by gathering the poisons we need to take out his eyes."

Frigid storms blow outside, sky still a soupy mix of grays and blacks. He's sure though they can still gather what they need in time before the day ends, ensure that Danzo will no longer be a problem for him and Hinata even if they continue looping.

Jiraiya hums, running the beginnings of the plan through his head. "So, you plan to do some tricking, blinding, and poisoning?"

Naruto matches his rising smirk. "Exactly. By the time he realizes what's going on, it will be too late."

Jiraiya claps his hands eagerly. 'Look at you Naruto, coming up with battle strategies just like your Old Man used to.'

"Alright, lets get to work Kid!"

Hinata

"Yes, I'm sure these are the ones." Hinata repeats with a soft smile, patience wearing thin at the old woman's continued skeptical look.

She'd slipped away from the Hyuga compound right before sunrise, taken the darkest paths avoiding both streetlight and moonlight to get here before any of her usual morning customers arrived.

The less people who see her here, the better.

It's rare for her to meet with the pharmacists of the Taketori clan, especially without her Father or sister with her. They're the only pharmacy outside of Konoha's walls though that she can conduct business with without drawing unnecessary suspicion to the Hyuga clan.

Lady Miwako bites her lip, runs a finger through her salt and pepper hair once more looking around to ensure it's still just them two alone.

"And you say this is urgent business from your Father to get these ingredients?"

Hinata nods, lowering her voice to a tight whisper. "In preparation for the war as you know."

Miwako nods, bundling up the herbs and containers. "It's just...unusual for Master Hiashi to need such things. Hydroxychloroquine, thioridazine, tetrahydrozoline, linezolid. These drugs are normally used in the treatment of infections and inflammatory conditions. Ah, don't tell me a wave of illness is spreading across the manor-"

"Oh no, nothing like that! Father just wants to be on the safe side and get stockage of these medicines just in case! After all, during past wars many respiratory and gastrointestinal conditions are known to become rampant." Hinata cuts in.

Miwako hums, fingers tapping against the oakwood of her table.

The silence nearly makes her groan aloud, forcing herself to not look at the clock overhead, to not dig her nails into her thighs.

"Well, Master Hiashi has done a great service to our clan over the years, I suppose it makes sense he wants to have a surplus of medicine on hand." She finally relents and Hinata lets her shoulders relax some.

"Thank you, you don't know how much we appreciate it."

Miwako waves it off. "Just be aware of the major side effects these drugs have before you or anyone of your clan members administer them. They can cause retinal damage, blurred vision, sudden drops in blood pressure, difficulty breathing, headaches, etc."

Hinata withholds a smile, nodding at her list of instructions.

'Exactly what I want it to do.'

Good. First major hurdle completed.

She heads back outside into a cool morning, burying her hands into her pockets to hide and secure everything. Leaves and grass laden with dew surround her, sun now a sliver of red-orange on the horizon.

And nobody in sight.

She moves for the forests, shifting pass creeping vines and pits of mud until she finally sees the messenger toad Gamamasa waiting.

"Everything good?" He asks.

Hinata nods, beaming. "Here's the medicine along with the instructions on how to administer it. They're going to need at least 10 grams of each for the poison to be at it's most potent level in his body."

"You got it! I'll let the old Perv Jiraiya and Naruto know."

Gamamasa stores the bag into his mouth, both giving a final look around that it's clear before heading their separate ways.

'I hope that's enough.' Hinata presses her lips together, Miwako wouldn't be willing to give her anything beyond the standard dosages without arousing her suspicion. These aren't times of peace and various herbs and medicines are in short supply.

Hiashi ushers her inside quickly upon her return the manor and her throat tightens seeing the flash of alarm upon his usual calm features.

"I wish you wouldn't leave without at least telling a guard where you're going. Don't you know Danzo has his best Root shinobi and ANBU guards tracking you down?" He grunts, tugging her along to her quarters.

Hinata moves to match his pace, footsteps lightly pattering behind him. She's long learned how to blend into her surroundings, be unnoticed.

He's the one who inadvertently taught her such things after all.

"I'm aware, however I needed to deliver the poison to the gourd toad Jiraiya left at the designated meeting spot. I was only gone for at the most, an hour. You never usually believe me when I tell you I'm 25 and not...whatever age I am the day I wake up to."

Hiashi half looks at her then, sighing. "Well, I do and I will moving forward. I know I haven't before, however that's changed after speaking with Jiraiya."

"You know, this is perhaps my first time actually inside the Hyuga manor. It's not often your clan invites outsiders!" Jiraiya chortles, marveling at fine sandalwood and rosewood not found anywhere near Konoha's regions. Above shine chandeliers in winking golds and whites, handiwork he knows was probably done somewhere up north.

Hiashi rubs at his head as Jiraiya whistles a happy tune, waves giddily at a pair of women tending to the gardens who do a double take seeing his presence.

"Looking good ladies!" He bellows.

Hiashi clicks his tongue as their cheeks flush red at his blatant staring, pulls harder on his sleeve for them to keep going.

"Refrain from looking at the women of my clan in such a way."

Jiraiya pouts, crosses his hands behind his head.

"Geez, it's no wonder Hinata ran off from here with that attitude..." He grumbles just loud enough for him to hear.

Hiashi keeps walking, barely hides the tension in his shoulders seeing Jiraiya's amused grin from the corner of his eye.

He gestures to the meeting room, Jiraiya clapping his hands in delight seeing the colorful buffet spread out before them.

"Oh wow! Kaarage, pork fried rice, soup dumplings, and even smoked crab?! You're pulling out all the works here Hiashi!"

Hiashi settles across from him, doesn't bother with any of the appetizers feeling his stomach slush and churn all over again.

"Look, you know why I invited you over Jiraiya. We go through this same spiel every time Hinata and Naruto loop, we need to figure out a main plan on how to deal with Danzo, Kabuto, and anybody else who worked on this time device."

Jiraiya breaks a crab claw in half, finally looks up at him seriously.

"Yes, it's the same song and dance; isn't it? Our children stuck in a seemingly endless hell of time loops reliving a mix of days past and uncertain futures. It isn't exactly something one can read about in a scroll or book. Kabuto's been dealt with I feel by me taking his eyes, leaving him in a feeble state. Our main concerns now should be Danzo and the remaining Akatsuki members."

Hiashi scoffs, politeness dropping. "You don't actually have a child Jiraiya. Naruto spent more than a decade of his life growing up in his original timeline not even knowing you existed."

Jiraiya sips at his sake, seemingly unfazed by his icy remark though Hiashi catches a twitch of his hand, annoyance and maybe sadness flash in his dark eyes before he masks it away.

"What? And you were Father Of The Year with how you treated Hinata? There's a reason various versions of herself tell me that she hates dealing with you. You never listen to her until she literally uses force."

Hiashi's gaze drops to his tea, he's getting nowhere.

Again.

Jiraiya picks up the sake bottle, gestures to his empty cup.

He's always the first to play mediator between them, calm both their foul moods.

"I know he's your godson, the closest thing you two have to still living family members." Hiashi murmurs by way of apology as the liquid goes down like fire. He has no business really insulting the man with all he's done for Konoha, has been doing for the clan.

Jiraiya shrugs. "I've been a shitty one, I know that. And I have the time now to make it up to him and to your eldest."

Hiashi nods, leaning in. "You've said before they typically loop to days that hold significant events. Eventually, that means they'll loop to a day in the war or a day close to it."

Jiraiya pulls out his notebook then from his vest pocket.

"Exactly. And one of those days will be when the best opportunity to take out Danzo will occur."

"Jiraiya and I have reviewed through dozens of scenarios, all of them count on Danzo being either ambushed, betrayed, or falling into a trap. Scenarios all unlikely to occur knowing how paranoid and suspicious he is of people outside of Root."

Hinata curls her fingers around his arm, mind rerunning through what she learned days ago.

And what she knows now.

Tears prick her eyes she blinks away hurriedly, pushing on.

"Do...Do you know about the sacrifice you made during the war?"

Hiashi goes quiet, smiles softly and lovingly at her in a way she recalls murkily from her wedding day.

Or maybe that was Neji, Father's smile right now is one of departing...

Of death.

But before he can say anything more a guard approaches them, breath coming in pants.

"Master Hiashi, pardon the interruption, but a member of the ANBU is at the main gates asking for Hinata's presence at the Hokage Tower."

Hiashi and Hinata eye each other, Hiashi absently tugging Hinata behind him.

"By whose order? Isn't Lady Tsunade away at the summit?"

The guard swallows, beads of sweat lining his temple fidgeting from foot to foot at Hiashi's glare.

"I-I don't think this order came from her. By the sounds of it I believe it's one of Danzo's Root associates or maybe someone from the council that would like a word with Lady Hinata." He stammers out quickly.

Hiashi pulls Hinata even closer behind his back, enough for her to feel the rush of his rising heartbeat.

"Tell them she isn't here. That's she headed in the Land of Iron's direction. Do everything you need to while we secure the compound." He orders.

Hiashi squeezes her hand as they twist and head for the secret rooms of the manor, halls forgotten to time she only recalls hazily from summers long past.

"I'm going to protect you Hinata, no matter how the rest of this day goes."

Naruto & Jiraiya

"Is Danzo really here y'now?" Naruto questions, barely hiding a yawn. Cerulean eyes roam around at snow and frost that goes on for miles, wishing he could just curl up in a bed somewhere with Hinata and the kids. Flurries of sleet and hail haven't let up, steel gray sky unchanged since early morning.

It's getting into the mid-afternoon now, they've done nothing but plan and discuss what they'll do once they face him.

With all the changes he and Hinata have done, it's possible Granny is here at the summit instead, maybe Danzo's decided to stay in hiding knowing the risks of being out in the open.

Jiraiya waves away his concerns. "Being Hokage has been Danzo's wet dream since he was, I don't know, like a teenager! My spies and my own gathering of information wouldn't let me down Kid! Plus, there's no way in hell he wasn't going to use this chance to try and make Tsunade look bad to the other Kage knowing she can't be there! The fact that she's apparently 'sick' with a stomach bug he probably created is all the more reason to stop him here and now."

Naruto squirms at his rare fiery look. "I'm just worried about Hinata back in Konoha-"

"Your wife is fine, she delivered the poison to Gamamasa without getting caught; didn't she?! Besides, I have various toads watching the Hyuga manor and my own extra set of guards at ready to prevent a Danzo clone or one of his cronies trying to do an attack." Jiraiya interrupts before hushing him.

The man of the hour has just arrived.

But he's currently distracted by the Prajñā group, Naruto wincing not just from the cold at the way he cuts the men down so easily in sharp gusts of wind. His main Root bodyguards are with him too, Fu's amber eyes keeping straight paying no mind to the fallen men at his feet.

'Right, even as an old man he has so many tricks up his sleeve.'

Torune crosses his arms, beetles scouting the area as Jiraiya lowers them further to the forest floor.

"They aren't going to be the last people going after you."

Danzo huffs, shrugging as he tosses aside the last of the bodies, blood soaking snow and grass in scarlet patches. "They should get in line then. People have been after my head for years now."

Naruto balls up his fists, Jiraiya putting an arm up to stop him.

"Not yet Naruto, we stick to the plan."

He grits his teeth in response, reluctantly nodding.

"Things aren't happening exactly as you expect them to. For one, the Kage meeting is one that Sasuke is supposed to interrupt. However, seems he's making an earlier appearance."

Naruto follows his gaze to the treetops, shadows moving forming the shapes of Tobi and Sasuke.

Naruto blows out a breath. "Sasuke isn't going to agree to our help or want us interfering like this."

Jiraiya shrugs. "Tough shit, he'll understand at some point."

They lie in wait as Tobi distracts Torune and Fu, Danzo revealing his right arm embedded with vermilion eyes.

"I'll be adding you and Tobi's eyes to my collection once this is said and done. Shame I couldn't do the same for that brother of yours. Itachi I'm sure would've been pleased his eyes were put to use in protecting the village from the likes of you." He mentions with a sneer.

"Get his name off your tongue, especially after everything you made him do." Sasuke spits back.

Jiraiya half looks to Naruto as the two begin their clash.

"The thing about this match up is no matter how great of a shinobi Danzo is, he's old and holding back some because he wants to conserve energy to fight Tobi."

"His downfall is relying on those eyes too." Naruto adds.

Jiraiya nods as they get into position.

Danzo unleashes a blast of wind, Sasuke dodging the blows with relative ease, volleys back a blaze of fire.

"Wind release: Vacuum Sphere!"

"Fire release: Flame bullets!"

A haze coats the area as the two attacks meet, Jiraiya nodding for them to stand.

It's time.

"Alright, I'm taking left and you're going right. Nothing outside the plan."

Naruto nods his confirmation, forming a ball of wind.

This close he can see how heavy Danzo is panting, sharingan eyes along his arm being used up one by one.

And now he has none remaining but the one in his right eye socket.

Sasuke moves in, channeling lightning into a blade only for a sphere to encompass him. His slash to the barrier comes back thick with oil, drawing in a breath to ignite the blockade.

"You'll only harm yourself if you try to explode one of my barriers." Jiraiya warns from his side, Sasuke peering behind him to see his teammates equally trapped.

"What are you doing? Don't get involved." He sneers.

Danzo's eyes narrow, stepping back should he trap him next. "Jiraiya? Hmph, following Tsunade's orders like a loyal lapdog?"

Jiraiya gives him a one finger salute. "Nope! Just making sure we have no outside interferences!"

He half turns to look at Naruto a second too late, rasengan piercing straight into his back, ripping away flesh exposing muscle and bone.

Danzo nearly completely crumples, draws up his wind sword only for Naruto to easily dissipate it with a swish of his hand.

His eyes widen taking him in, realizes instantly who he truly is, what he's come to do.

"You..."

Naruto smirks. "Yeah, me."

Sasuke gathers lightning in his hands observing the pair, pausing seeing Naruto too close to Danzo, Jiraiya on his opposite side keeping his barriers in place.

Keeping him from getting near.

"Naruto! Stay out of this! He's mine to kill!" He yells out.

Susanoo pierces and slashes at the toad barrier, Jiraiya shaking his head.

"Take it easy, you've already used up so much chakra and it's not like I put you in a toad's stomach. Trust me, Naruto wants Danzo dead and gone just as much as you do! Especially after how he's treated him, his wife, and their kids."

Sasuke's brows knit together. Either he's hearing things or this stupid toad sage is just rambling nonsense if he really just said Naruto of all people is a husband and father.

Jiraiya points at him as well, smiles. "I know what you're thinking, but it's true. You got a kid and wife of your own too."

Sasuke scoffs, ignoring his drunk chatter, focusing back on the fight he had started.

Should've been finishing.

Danzo claws at Naruto's hands, body losing its strength as his wood release fails him, tearing away the arm.

"I-I should've had you imprisoned from the moment you were born."

Naruto ignores his empty words, grip tightening around his throat.

"Maybe with your death, Hinata and I will stop these time jumps. I'll obtain peace and become Hokage like you never could, stop you from ever getting close to Boruto or Himawari."

Danzo dryly laughs, vision clouding, forcing his final gambit.

"If it's not me, then the others will carry out my plans. Don't forget the Akatsuki still exists." He mutters hoarsely before activating the trigrams upon his chest.

A tongue quickly wraps around Naruto's waist, pulling him out of range of the blast.

He feels the intensity of Sasuke and Tobi's gaze as the gust clears from the explosion. Tobi lifts up Danzo's corpse, eyes never leaving from Naruto.

Sasuke blows out a breath, wipes away a trickle of blood at his cheek.

"Konoha is next." He assures.

Naruto sighs. "It's a good thing your daughter isn't as vengeful as you are from what I've seen."

Karin jabs a finger at the pair. "Stop talking as if you know Sasuke! He's done with your team, Konoha, and you!"

Jiraiya grins. "Hey, why don't you join us Karin? You could learn a lot more about your Uzumaki heritage in Konoha! Plus, we won't bite you for healing!"

Naruto looks at her then, puzzled. Strange to see another person from his Mother's clan so antagonistic towards them.

"You know Sasuke was going to stab you to get to Danzo if I hadn't interfered?"

"T-That's not true! Sasuke cares way more about me and Team Taka than you guys!" She defends.

Though her voice wavers, confused by their words looking to Sasuke who doesn't even spare her a glance.

'How do they know so much? And why isn't Sasuke saying anything?!'

Suigetsu and Jugo stay quiet, but their stances watch them closely for any next moves.

Jiraiya places a hand to Naruto's shoulder before he can fire up another rasengan, shaking his head to let them go.

"We stick to the plan Naruto, Danzo is gone."

Tobi throws his corpse over his shoulder like he's a sack, doesn't stop watching them until Sasuke is safely next to him.

The promise of a fight another time.

Nightfall comes on too fast as they make the trek back to Konoha, Naruto battling now with sleep.

"Kid, just go to sleep. I know my back is comfy!" Jiraiya asserts, laughing at his stubborn shake of head.

"I wanna see...Hinata first! And then Boruto and Hima!" His words sound slurred even to his own ears.

Jiraiya chuckles. "You sure you're 25 and not actually the 16 year old you look to be?"

Naruto attempts to kick him, is met only with air.

"Yeah, yeah. Hopefully you two will see them shortly when you wake up."

Hinata- Age 24

"Mama, you have to wake up! Hurry!" A voice urges by her side.

Hinata opens her eyes sluggishly, sees bright blue eyes hovering over her.

"Naruto?" She yawns.

Boruto pouts, shaking her a bit harder. "Papa is downstairs in the kitchen! You need to get ready too! The field trip is today!"

Oh. Fun.

"I'm tired Mama." Himawari voices softly by her side, hands curling around her neck as she lifts them to stand.

"Mama is sleepy too, but I think Papa and your brother will be happy we join them for breakfast." She smiles, taking her in. She's nearly as tall as she remembers, if not for Boruto's declaration of a field trip she could almost believe that she and Naruto made it to the correct day and time.

She lets Boruto grab her by the hand, crashes into Naruto trying not to burn the eggs, pancakes, and soup starting to boil over.

"Morning." Hinata smiles dazedly, lowering the heat to a simmer.

Naruto nods, dips his head to her cheek ending up somewhere by her ear and neck.

"Boruto's the wrong age; he proudly declared he's 4." He murmurs, awakening a new listlessness in them both.

So close, one year off.

He should've just gone for Obito despite Pervy-Sage's reservations.

It's clear Danzo knew his death wasn't going to stop the creation of the time device, as much as he wanted to be there for it.

For that, they need to destroy all copies of blueprints and notes, get in touch with everybody that had been involved in said plans.

Hinata burrows into him as much she can.

Himawari transfers herself to Naruto, smiles brightly at various stains upon his top. "Papa is all messy!"

Boruto squeezes himself between them, hopping up and down.

"Come on, let's eat! The new science and technology museum is gonna open without us! We're going to miss seeing all the new ninja tools they've created if we don't hurry y'now!"

One enemy down. Just a few more to go before everything is fixed you could say! I don't actually know if Sasuke's Susanoo could actually breakthrough one of Jiraiya's barriers or toad gourds? I'm going on the assumption of no, plus I really don't like following canon to a T as that gets boring and repetitive.

Danzo's influence will remain throughout the story until Naruto and Hinata complete everything they need to do in these upcoming loops. Interspersed with lighter moments as well.
