"Oh my god Jamie! This steak is amazing!"

Jamie smiled behind his bite of food and then swallowed.

"Glad you're enjoying your dinner babe."

Eddie speared another roasted red baby potato and popped it into her mouth.

"These roasted red baby potatoes are just as amazing. I wonder if I could ask the chef for the recipe. It's delicious."

Enjoying the last bite of her steak and her potatoes, she smiled over at Jamie and her eyes lit up. Jamie took her hand over the top of the table and squeezed it.

"You think you have room for dessert?"

Eddie smirked and then laughed.

"Oh, I'll always have room for dessert. They got any cheesecake in this place?"

Jamie smiled as a waiter came up to their table with a large slice of cheesecake and set it on the table in front of Eddie.

"Your dessert miss. Enjoy."

Eddie looked up at Jamie and smiled. He had anticipated her every want and need. No other man had done that for her. He knew.

"How do you do that babe? You just know exactly what I want."

Jamie kept smiling and then shook his head.

"It's a gift…"

Eddie smirked and then held in a snort. Swallowing another bite of the cheesecake she spoke.

"Wow. Is this your way of trying to spoil me?"

Jamie looked straight into Eddie's eyes and then took his fork and stole a piece of her cake.

"Yup. But you have to share some of this with me. I don't think you'll be able to eat it all."

Eddie shook her head and poked her fork at Jamie's playfully.

"Who said you could have part of my cake?"

Jamie kept smiling and took another bite, swallowing before he gave his answer.

"We're sharing this babe. I want to share this with you."

Eddie laughed and then nodded.

"Two forks one plate. Yup. Besides I don't mind sharing with you babe. Thank-you for tonight. This place is amazing. Do you come here often?"

Jamie shook his head and threaded his left hand through Eddie's.

"Nah. My dad does though. Don't worry. This is all covered."

Eddie began to protest.

"Are you sure you got it? I mean I can help you pay…"

Jamie kept smiling.

"Thanks babe, I got it. Besides. I wanted to do something nice for you. I know how much you love your wings and onion rings. Let's not forget about the ribs from Anton's when it's all you can eat Tuesdays. You could put that place out of business with your appetite."

Eddie gave a laugh and sat back in her chair, her appetite satisfied and her belly full.

"Well, that's because I have the metabolism of a D1 football player."

Eddie kept watching Jamie as he placed his credit card with the bill to pay it, the waiter came back and took it away. She watched as his thumb traced circles over her knuckles of her right hand. That strange electricity that she felt every time he touched her had only grown in the last couple of months.

She was sure that maybe he was the one. She had yet to bring it up to Jamie, because she wasn't sure he even believed in soulmates. Everything after all was still new and they were still setting goals and milestones. The goals they were working on, the milestones would come later. Eddie locked eyes at Jamie as he put his credit card back in his wallet.

"I would like you to come to family dinner on Sunday."

Her eyes widened and they darted left then right for about 30 seconds. She wasn't sure she'd heard him right.

"What?"

Jamie continued to rub circles over her knuckles and repeated himself as if she hadn't heard him the first time.

"I want you to come to family dinner with me on Sunday."

Taking a deep breath, Eddie nodded.

"Ok. But what if they don't like me?"

Eddie watched for Jamie's reaction. His gaze had softened and he continued to rub circles on her knuckles.

"They are going to love you. Especially pop."

Gaze softening more, Eddie fidgeted in her chair.

"Ok, but can we get out of here? You rubbing circles on my knuckles is making me kind of uncomfortable."

Jamie knew what she meant.

"I know just how to fix that. Let's go home."

Eddie took Jamie's hand, and he pulled her to her feet. She really liked the way he made her feel. As they got outside and hailed a cab, her eyes widened as he whispered something in her ear.

"Reagan! That is not an option!"

She watched as Jamie smirked and placed two kisses to the side of her neck as the cab pulled up.

"Well, I tried."

Eddie threw him a look and stepped into the cab as soon as he opened the door for her.

"You spoil me, do you know that?"

Jamie's smile became bright.

"Of course I do, because your worth it babe."
