As they walked, Seiya couldn't help but believe how much had changed in just a few short hours. Just this morning he'd been living in fear, alone in the woods with no one to turn to, and no one to talk to. Now he was walking hand in hand with the girl who had just rescued him from all of that. The girl who had shown him there was still kind people in the world, in a world that he thought had given up on him long ago. Eventually they arrived at a small cabin nestled deep in the heart of the forest. In a much better location than the place he had his shelter set up. Just by the looks of it, Seiya could tell nothing would bug them out here. Sienna led him inside the cabin, slowly showing him around, as she began pointing out all the little details she had made to the cabin to make it more home for herself. It brought a smile to Seiya's face seeing her geek out on everything she'd done.
''This is very beautiful,'' Seiya said in amazement as he approached the small cabin. Drawing his eyes over the exterior of the cabin, Seiya noticed it was mostly made up of rough - hewn logs, giving the cabin a rustic and natural feel to it. The front porch looked to be made of weathered wood, where a rocking chair sat at the entrance. The roof is sloped and made of dark shingles, as a large chimney protruded from the center of the cabin's roof. There are small windows on both sides of the front door, with another window located on the side of the building. With the surrounding area being filled with tall trees, surrounded by the sound of a nearby stream capable of being heard in the distance. The cabin looked really cozy and inviting, a perfect escape for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. And when you live in a city as busy as New York always is, being able to get away in nature, can be exactly what people need sometimes. ''If you think the outside is nice, wait till you see the inside.'' Sienna said, as she reached for his hand, eagerness to show him the inside. Once inside however, Seiya didn't realize how right Sienna would truly be till his eyes saw the interior of the inside. The walls were made of a light - colored wood, as the one main room they were standing in, seemed to serve as both the living room, bedroom, and kitchen all combined. There even seemed to be a few rustic wooden shelves carrying jars of preserved fruits and vegetables atop them in the corner. Against the farthest wall, there was even a small green - sized bed with handmade gullets placed nearly on top of it, as a nightstand housing a small lamp made up the rest of the interior. In front of the small bed, housed a small medium - sized wooden chest which Seiya assumed housed personal belongings and clothing judging on the size of it. Opposite of the bedroom, there was even a small table set up with two chairs. And next to them sat a fireplace. And if he looked closely, he could even see the smoke rising up through the small chimney. The cabin appeared to be lit up with natural light which came in flickering through the small windows, which by the looks of it, had thick curtains put up for privacy, which was no doubt Sienna's doing.
''I know it's not much, but it's been my home as long as I can remember.'' Sienna said, with a small hint of sadness behind her voice, though the sadness quickly disappeared as she suddenly became overjoyed by something. Utterly it was as if the sadness had never been there. Because before he knew it, she was reaching for his hand. ''I hope you like it.'' she smiled that same loving smile at him. ''Thank you so much, Sienna, again, your home is quite beautiful.''
''You don't need to thank me, I'm just happy I could share it with someone who truly needs it.'' she replied. As they both took a seat in one of the dark brown chairs, Seiya couldn't help but feel like he was still dreaming. He had never felt so safe, so love, so whole...it was a feeling he had completely forgotten even existed till now. To have someone care about you. To have someone go out of their way to help you in your time of need. It was a feeling that he wanted to cherish forever. Especially since he wasn't sure when the next time he'd get to feel it again. Sitting there with his head resting against the hard headrest, he closed his eyes, savoring the moment. He couldn't remember the last time he had felt so comfortable. All the worries, fears and anxieties that had been plaguing him seemed to disappear, as if they had never even existed in the first place. He let out a deep breath, then re-opened his eyes to look at her, only to find her still smiling at him, a soft, comforting smile that made him feel like everything was going to be okay. And for the first time in a long time, be was finally starting to believe it. They seemed to sit in silence for a while, content just to be in each other's company, and as the night eventually overtook the day, they talked and laughed, sharing stories about their lives for what seemed like hours. It was as if they had known each other their whole lives. Seiya could feel himself opening hip to her, letting go of the fear and pain that had been consuming him for so very long. It was nice. It was like he had his parents back.
For the first time in a long time, Seiya went to bed that night feeling safe and cared for. As he lay on the floor, with the comforters up to his neck, staring up at the rustic ceiling, he knew he was going to be okay. With a smile on his face, Seiya closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep. As he fell into a peaceful slumber, he made a promise to himself to always remember the kindness shown to him by his new friend, Sienna Kido.
As sunset replaced the moon, Seiya found himself steering from his sleep, stretching his arms and legs before full opening his eyes to the bright sunshine that streamed in through the windows. As he blinked away the sleep from his eyes, he took a look around his surroundings. ''Sienna?'' he called out, but there was no response. Seiya sat up and gazed around the room for the second time, only to again find it empty. The bed beside him was neatly made, as though no one had slept in it at all. Slowly he scratched his head, trying to remember what had happened the night before. Only to come up with nothing that could explain Sienna's whereabouts. So, quickly he found himself getting out of the bed he had on the floor. To his disappointment he was forced to wear the same outfit he'd gone to bed with last night, since he didn't have a lot. Which would have disgusted him if he hadn't been so use to it after all these years spent alone. Once he was finished making himself as presentable as he could, he was still coming up empty about what had happened to Sienna. So he decided to leave the cabin to look for her. Finding nothing outside, he continued onward, with his voice echoing through the empty woods as he called out to her.
''Sienna? Are you out here?''
''Seiya? I'm over here.'' He breathed out a sigh of relief when he heard her response in the distance, a faint sound of water splashing against the rocks to allow him to follow. Seiya found himself following the sound, pushing through the dense foliage until he finally stumbled upon a clearing. And there she was. Sienna, standing beneath a waterfall, drenched from head to toe in water from the clearly magnificent waterfall above her. He could't help himself but be drawn to her lithe figure and the way her wet hair clung to her skin. Clearing his throat, not wanting to stare but finding himself unable not to, Sienna found his eyes, her expression contrite as she realized she had left without telling him. ''Oh, Seiya, I'm sorry.'' she said, her voice barely audible over the sound of the waterfall. ''I just wanted to take a quick shower after my morning job,'' Seiya couldn't help but smile as he quickly turned around, no longer staring at her, as his cheeks instantly warmed. Grateful that she was safe and sound, and a little in awe of her bravery to shower in such a secluded area.
''Oh come on! It's not like you haven't seen a girl's body before.''
Suddenly what brought a whole bunch of questions with it, was the scent of vanilla soap, as the sound of the water continued on behind him.
''Seiya, you feel so warm.'' He was instantly taken aback by a strong grip of arms wrapping around his stomach, as he was pushed against a body.
''Sienna? What are you doing?'' A part of him couldn't believe this was happening to him. Of all the things he'd thought of, this was no where on his list. A teenage boy, caught in the middle of a waterfall with a naked girl making clear moves on him. He wasn't sure how to feel in that moment. Every time he tried to make an attempt to leave the situation, Sienna's grip around him seemed to tighten, as if she would do anything to keep him there with her. So as he realized that he wasn't going to be able to escape this situation, he suddenly found her hand on his shoulders now, as he was slowly turned around. Their eyes meeting, as he could practically feel her breath on his skin. For a moment, he was frozen, however, he slowly found his body beginning to respond to her advances. His heart was pounding, as his palms were sweaty, but he soon found himself leaning in towards her, unable to resits the temptation. She was so close to him now, the warmth of her body was practically radiating off of him at this point. As their lips met, Seiya was surprised by how sweet and gentle they were. At first, he was overall hesitation, but as they continued to kiss, he found himself becoming more and more relaxed. He felt like he was floating now. As he felt his feet moving along the ground, his body flinched a little at the drop of the water fall waves, as the air around them merged with the warmth of their bodies, and the cold of the water as they continued to make out beneath the waterfall. Seiya couldn't help but feel alive when he was with her. He was in love with the feeling of being in love, and knew that this was something he would never ever forget, as long as he lived. Even if they eventually separated, he couldn't help but feel greatful towards Sienna for this experience - and for the way it made him feel, and for the memories that he would carry with him for the rest of his life.
Suddenly Seiya felt all the warmth and love inside of him, depleting as he was quickly overcome with intense guilt. What the hell was he doing? He couldn't believe he was actually kissing a teenage girl, underneath a waterfall in the middle of the woods! Seiya didn't want to believe it, he didn't want to do it, but he knew what he had to do. He needed to get out of this situation, he couldn't be doing this when there were still so much about himself she didn't know about him. It'd be dishonest. And Sienna would have ever right to hate him for it. He was brought back to life as he felt Sienna's grip tighten on him, making it clear to him that she wasn't going to let him leave. Seiya's mind was spinning once he realized this, so as he tried to figure out what to do next, he found his body reacting faster than his brain could keep up with, as he committed the unthinkable. ''Ow!'' Sienna cried, suddenly pulling back from the kiss, and away from Sieya, looking into his eyes with a look of utter pain. Holding her lip, Seiya's heart raced so fast in his chest, for a moment he thought he might pass out, if it hadn't been for the fact his brain finally caught up with him, forcing him to remain conscious.
''What the hell was that, Seiya! I thought this was what you wanted?!'' she cried, tears starting to form in her light, lovely, green eyes, as she tried to clean the blood away from her lip with her tongue. ''I can't believe you seriously just bit me! You know if you didn't like it, if you didn't like me, you didn't have to bite me, you could have used your words!''
''No, that's not it, Sienna! I do like you. More than I can say in words.'' Seiya shook his head rapidly, try as he may to come up with the right words to explain his actions. He knew he'd made a big mistake, but the reason behind why he'd done it, was much to difficult to put into words. She couldn't know. Sienna couldn't know what he was. ''I'm so so sorry, Sienna, it's just that...I couldn't stop myself, you just smell so intoxicating, I lost myself in you.'' he said, try as he may to push her angry away from him.
''Don't lie to me, Seiya. I know that's not the reason you bit me. It's because you didn't want to kiss me.'' Seiya took a deep breath, dreading the confession that was mere seconds from escaping his lips. How could he tell her? How would he even begin? It was so insane, and how could he ask her to believe him when he did tell her? ''Seiya, you're starting to really scare me. What aren't you telling me?'' Sienna's voice was tinged with worry, which caused Seiya even more pain, as he tried to avoid her gaze, not wanting to see the fear in her eyes. However it didn't last long, till she quickly pulled on his arm, bringing his body towards hers again, though he still refused to look at her.
''Seiya!'' she shouted. ''Look at me.''
His voice trailed off as he spoke up hesitantly. ''I didn't bite you because I wanted to stop kissing you. I bit you, because I can't have you thinking you love me, If I'm not completely honest with you.'' he said.
''Who said I love you...'' Sienna whispered, as if she hadn't been expecting to hear that, though her cheeks appeared so red, Seiya knew everything he needed to know in that moment. His gaze locked with hers, just as her reassuring hand on his arm made him feel more at ease. He was grateful that she was so willing to hear his story. Though he wasn't confident that it would last. Finally collecting his the courage he needed, he took a deep breath and blurted out the truth that he had been holding back. ''Sienna, I'm not human.''
