Here's chapter 7 everybody. :)
Chapter 7: Not on our Hands.
The next day, Team Phantom began their patrol around the city, waiting for Dan and Dana's attack to come. It's already the afternoon and so far, it's been quiet so far. The team also advise the public to be cautious when traveling around the city.
"Nothing happening so far. You think being cautious could be a trick by Dan and Dana?" Sam asked.
"I'm sure it is, but what else can we do? We have to be ready to repel their attack immediately and stop them as soon as possible." Danny replied.
"Besides, last time has taught us lots of lessons." Dani said.
"Definitely and this time we'll defeat them quickly than last time." Tucker said.
Suddenly, a gust of wind, which got the team's attention.
"Umm, is the weather supposed to be windy today?" Jacob asked.
"I know it's March but not all of a sudden." Venus said.
"I have a bad feeling about this." Sierra said.
Suddenly, a ghost portal formed at the street in from of them before Dan, Dana and the Fright Knight emerge out of the portal, with Dan holding the Staff of Reality.
"Well, well, well, if isn't our former pass selves and their pathetic team." Dana said with a grin.
"And they have come for their imminent deaths." Dan said.
"Say, Dani, should we take their threats seriously this time?" Danny asked.
"I don't know, but let's find out. Say, Dana, how did it feel when I beat you last time? Must have sting to lose to me, a, what was that you called me last time? Oh yeah, weak." Dani taunted, making Dana growl.
"Same for Dan, how did it feel to lose to me, not once, but twice?" Danny taunted, making Dan growl as well.
"Doesn't matter. I once again control reality, got MY logo back and this time, your lives ends now." Dan said.
"And what better way than for you all to be overwhelmed by our new army." Dana said.
Dan then waved the Staff to point it at the sky before firing a beam. Suddenly, multiple ghost portals appear, one at the sky and many more on the ground. At that moment, Dan and Dana's new and powerful army emerge through these portals. At the ghost portals that were formed at the ground, multiple ghost skeleton soldiers charged and fired their weapons towards the citizens, making them run for their lives while others drove their ecto-tanks as they fired powerful ecto-beams at the surrounding city. Meanwhile, at the sky, multiple ghost attacker aircraft few out of the portal before firing ecto-beams and missile, causing chaos to the city.
"Good luck." Dan said as he laugh.
Danny and Dani were about to attack Dan and Dana, but Dan use the Staff to teleport Dana, Fright Knight and himself out of harm's way.
"Starting shooting at them!" Danny ordered.
At that moment, Sam, Tucker, Jacob, Sierra and Venus begin firing their blasters at the ghost soldiers that were starting to attack them. Valerie activates her hoverboard before starting to focus on the ecto-tanks, throwing ecto-grenades at them or firing her blasters. Danny and Dani began using their powers to attack any enemy ghost soldier that tries to attack them before getting distracted by the ghost attackers.
"Those fighters are gonna be a problem." Dani said.
Suddenly, Danny and Dani saw Kayla flew pass them at top speed before she flew straight towards Dan and Dana's air force. The ghost fighter aircraft began firing ecto-beams and missiles towards Kayla. However, Kayla began blasting the fighter craft back, destroying them in massive explosions. Kayla then lands on the top of one fighter before using her sword to stab into the fighter's engine, causing it to burst into flames. Kayla then jumped onto another nearby ghost fighter aircraft before she turns her arm intangible and phases it into the cockpit door before throwing out the ghost skeleton pilot. Kayla then phased into the cockpit before taking the controls.
"Danny, Danielle. Leave these enemy ghost fighters to me. You focus on the ground troops as well as Dan and Dana." Kayla said before piloting the ghost fighter against the others that are flying out of the massive ghost portal.
"Got it, Your Highness." Dani said before she and Danny continue to use their ghost powers with all they got against Dan and Dana's army.
Meanwhile, Sam was shooting her ecto-blasters. Tucker on the other hand fired his ecto-blasters while controlling his Team Phantom drones. The drones began firing multiple ecto-beams at any ghost skeleton that got close to them.
"I thought you were gonna make your drones autonomous." Sam said before shooting at a ghost skeleton.
"I am, but that's gonna be for the new designs. Also have to locked in the ecto-signatures from our allies. Should be ready in two weeks." Tucker said before firing his ecto-blaster.
"If only you can get them ready fast enough." Sam said.
Suddenly, one ghost skeleton tackled Tucker to the ground, gaining Sam's attention.
"Tucker!" Sam screamed.
Sam immediately ran and kicked the ghost skeleton before it can do any more harm to Tucker. Sam then fired her ecto-blaster at the ghost skeleton, reducing it to bones. Sam then grabbed the skeleton's blaster.
"We should try to grab their guns as much as we can." Tucker said.
"I was thinking about doing that." Sam said.
Meanwhile, Jacob, Venus and Sierra were firing their weapons, with Jacob firing the Fenton Equalizer blasters at the ghost skeleton soldiers and using either the Ecto-Tempest of the Fenton Railgun against any ghost fighter aircraft or tank that gets close by. As Sierra and Venus continue to fire their blasters, Jacob noticed two ghost tanks aiming their cannons at them.
"Stand back, girls." Jacob said.
Jacob aim the Ecto-Tempest at the first tank before firing multiple bolts of electricity. It took multiple shots before the tank finally explodes. Jacob then grabbed the Fenton Railgun and aims at the second tank and fires a ecto-projectile, which immediately cause the second ghost tank to detonate in a massive explosion.
"Show off." Sierra said.
"Hey, opportunity to use my main weapons of choice." Jacob said with a smirk.
Meanwhile, Venus look behind and noticed a third tank heading straight toward them.
"Guys, look out!" Venus said as she push Sierra, Jacob and herself out of the way before the tank can run them over.
As the ghost tank passes by the three Team Phantom members, Valerie, who has been flying on her hoverboard, lands on the top of the tank before opening the hatch and throws multiple ecto-grenades inside. Valerie reactivates her hoverboard and flies off before the tank explodes.
"Thanks Valerie." Jacob said.
"No problem, guys." Valerie said.
Meanwhile, Danny and Dani continued to work together to blast any ghost skeleton soldier. Danny has shot several green ecto-disks at several skeleton soldiers, killing them. His eyes then turned light blue as he shot several ice rays, freezing several ghost skeletons in solid ice. His eyes then turn red and his hair caught fire as he summons his Phantom Flame. He fired a massive ecto-fire blast from his flaming hair at the solid ice, destroying the ice as well as the skeletons that were frozen. Danny's hair return to normal and his eyes turn back to their normal green before he use his telekinesis powers to rip another set of skeletons that were trying to attack him. Meanwhile, Dani using her flaming hair to kill any ghost skeleton that got close to her. Dani then flew towards a large formation of ghost skeletons before throwing a volley of ecto-disks from her hands before swinging her legs to send two ecto-rays, which struck the formation. Dani's eyes then turn red and her flaming hair grew longer as she summon her Phantom Flame. She then fired a powerful ecto-fire blast at another set of ghost skeletons. Danny and Dani then noticed two ghost tanks approaching them. Danny and Dani linked their arms before they leaped into the air and start to spin around in circles until their dark blue energies from their bodies started to glow a bright rainbow like light and join together to form a massive Asgardian Phantom Tornado, The tornado starts to pick up the two ghost tanks before the tornado turned into a massive bright ball before Danny and Dani use the energy to released a massive and powerful Asgardian shockwave, which destroyed the tanks in explosions. The tornado then slow down and disappeared as Danny and Dani landed gently on the ground.
Meanwhile, Dan and Dana were starting to get upset as they watch Team Phantom beating their army despite the numbers. They then noticed one of their ghost fighters destroying the others. Dan then pointed his Staff at a nearby cloud before firing a beam at it. The cloud then turned into a massive chunk of ice before it began to fall. The massive block of ice managed to hit the engine of the rogued fighter. Inside the cockpit, Kayla noticed that she's been hot badly. She immediately turned intangible before flying out of the ghost aircraft. She immediately flew straight down towards another ghost tank that was approaching Danny and Dani from behind. Kayla landed on the tank so hard that the tank was crushed. Kayla then approached Danny and Dani as Dan, Dana and Fright Knight flew in to confront them.
'You Dark Phantoms surrender while you still can." Kayla said.
"Bold words coming from royalty but unfortunately, I can control reality and that means Dana and I are in charge of things around here." Dan said.
"Not on our hands!" Danny said.
"You may give us a hard time in numbers we always find a way to prevail." Dani said.
"Aww, my former self once again making the hero speech. So soft, so quaint." Dana sneered.
"Better than being a evil and ruthless murderer." Dani said.
"Just like my siblings." Kayla said.
"That reminds me, say Fright Knight, would be possible to see Kayla's sister Hertha? Maybe she can take care of this poor excuse of a royal ghost." Dana said.
Kayla however responded by chuckling.
"What's so funny?" Dana asked.
"I almost forgot to tell Fright Knight this. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Hertha's dead." Kayla said.
"What?! You're lying!" Fright Knight said in shock.
"Nope, been dead for 7 years now thanks to my Phantom commanders here. Same goes for my other sister, which means you'll never get another support from the Harvesters." Kayla said.
"Speaking of support, we haven't seen their allies yet." Danny said.
"Yeah, if this confrontation is to lure a attack by Undergrowth, Vortex, Aragon and his minions, Nocturne and Hotep-Ra, you got another thing coming." Dani said.
Dan and Dana however laugh at Dani's statement, confusing Danny and Dani.
"Oh please, thanks to this Staff and my new army, they are no longer required. I took care of them." Dan said with a murderous grin, making Danny and Dani looked in horror as they realized what he meant.
"He must have killed them with the Staff." Dani said.
"And now it's time to meet your fates as well." Dana said.
Dan then points the Staff at Danny, Dani and Kayla, but before Dan can fired a beam from the Gem of Infinity, Kayla use her telepathic abilities to mind fry Dan, Dana and Fright Knight. The three once again grasp their heads in pain as they hear the high-pitch sound.
"You two take care of your evil selves. I'll deal with Fright Knight." Kayla said as she close her eyes and use her manifestation powers to change her facial look, her hair disappearing, replaced by her black horn headdress.
"Got it, Your Highness." Danny said.
"Let's kick their evil butts!" Dani said.
Danny, Dani and Kayla flew at top speed, with Danny tackling Dan, Dani tacking Dana and Kayla tackling Fright Knight to battle them.
And that's the end of the chapter. Well, some of you were right. Chaos has broken loose but it's not over for the team. I really don't have much to say so what happens as the battle continues and something unexpected happens? Find out next time in the next chapter. Please review. :)
