Here's chapter 8 everybody.
Chapter 8: Damaged.
Kayla battles the Fright Knight once again, with the evil ghost knight caught off guard due to Kayla's telepathic attack moments ago. Kayla gave Fright Knight multiple ecto-energy strikes, ecto-blasts and all she's got. Kayla gave Fright Knight a powerful ecto-energy strike, sending him flying before crashing at a nearby tree at the park. Kayla jumped into the air before she flew straight down to strike. However, Fright Knight got out of the way, causing Kayla to strike the ground. Fright immediately gave his own ecto-energy strike to Kayla, making her fly a few feet away.
"Hertha and your other sister may be dead, but there's no way you can end this war of yours or protect this pathetic planet. Besides, why do you care about the Humans so much? They are unworthy lives who needs to live through fear and terror." Fright Knight said.
Kayla however formed a repulsion field before releasing a powerful shockwave, striking Fright Knight and sending him flying a few feet back once more.
"It's not just the Humans, but other civilizations and their Ghost Zone dimension counterparts on other planets and Ghost Zone dimensions. I'm not gonna let their lives and afterlives be cut short by a apocalyptic and genocidal event, including you and your fellow ghosts in this planet's Ghost Zone dimension." Kayla said before she fired another ecto-blast at Fright Knight. "And I will end this war and put a end to this genocide and I'm not gonna let you or your masters get in the way."
Kayla once again charged towards Fright Knight and gave him another ecto-energy strike. Fright Knight managed to land at his feet before pulling out the Soul Shredder. He then shot multiple green ghost rays from his sword at Kayla, causing her to evade the blasts as possible. Fright Knight then fired two pink ghost rays from his eyes, striking Kayla to the ground. Fright Knight then charged at Kayla and tried to sab her with the Soul Shredder, but Kayla once again flew out of the way. Kayla immediately shot two purple ghost rays from her eyes, strike Fright Knight. Fright Knight immediately got back to his feet and once again fired two pink ghost rays from his eyes as Kayla fired two purple ghost rays from her eyes. The two beams collided with each other, causing a shockwave that cause both adversaries to get blasted away, with Kayla crashing at a nearby tree and Fright Knight crashing at a nearby bush. Kayla then use her supernatural strength to pull out the large tree and swung it like a baseball bat at Fright Knight, making flew away once again. Kayla then grabbed and lifted a nearby parked car. She then jumped into the air before flying down to smash Fright Knight with the car. Fright Knight however got out of the way before giving Kayla a powerful ecto-energy strike, making Kayla crash into the ground. Fright Knight then flew at full speed towards Kayla. Kayla immediately got back up to her feet before she channeled her energy to her headdress to create a purple ecto-energy ball between her horns and fires a powerful ecto-beam, striking Fright Knight.
"Give it up, Fright Knight! I can do this all day!" Kayla demanded.
"Now, I'm really gonna send you to your worst fear once and for all." Fright Knight sneered.
"I don't think so." Kayla said.
Kayla once again used her telepathic powers and Fright Knight once again grasped his head in pain.
"Ahhh! Make it stop!" Fright Knight begged.
Kayla ignored his pleads before she forms a ghost portal with her hand. She then threw the Soul Shredder into the portal before looking at Fright Knight as he continues to scream in pain. Kayla then ends her telepathic attack as she once again channeled her energy to her headdress once more to create a purple ecto-energy ball between her horns and fires a powerful ecto-beam at Fright Knight, making him fly into the ghost portal before she closes it.
Meanwhile, Dani was battling Dana as the two female Phantoms were going at it at each other, just like the last time they fought each other.
"You have improved since last time, Danielle, but don't think having permanent flaming will change anything and using the same moves will work again this time around." Dana said.
"My hair and moves doesn't matter. I just got to make sure you lose again, just like last time when I beat you and I didn't become you." Dani said.
Dani then shot her flaming hair at Dana, but she immediately flew out of the way. Dana then charged at Dani and tried to deliver a ecto-energy strike, but Dani managed to block the punch before she managed to deliver a ecto-energy strike of her own, making Dana fly a few feet back before crashing into a parked car. Dani then flew at top speed before swinging her legs to fire multiple ecto-rays, but Dana managed to fly out of the way. Dana immediately shot her flaming hair and strikes Dani, making her crash to the ground. Dani immediately got back up but Dana forms a ecto-rope and wraps it around Dani's waist. Before Dana can send the ghost stinger, Dani pulled the rope, forcing Dana to fly towards her. However, Dana managed to counter Dani's counter and gave her a ecto-energy strike. Dana then fired a ecto-blast, but Dani immediately fired a ice ray at the two incoming rays, freezing them in place. Dani then formed a large snowball before throwing it at Dana. Dana evades the snowball but then gets frozen when Dani threw a second snowball. Dani then flew at full speed before punching the ice, which shattered and send Dana crashing violently into a nearby building. Dani then use her Asgardian powers before flying at full speed to ram into Dana before she can react. Dana then fell to the ground before Dani lands nearby.
"Had enough, Dana?" Dani asked with a smirk.
Dana struggled to get back to her feet before she growled at Dani.
"I will once I'm finished with you!" Dana sneered.
Dana then shot her flaming hair towards Dani. However, Dani unleashed her ghostly wail, catching Dana off guard. The wail blasted Dana and send her flying until she crashed at the wall of a building. Dani continued to unleash her wail as it weakens Dana, causing her to collapsed to the ground.
"Geez, Dana, seems that you have failed to learn the lessons of last time. Maybe you should chill out." Dani said.
Dani once again use her ice powers before firing a ice ray at Dana, once again freezing her in place. Dani then forms a ghost portal before she use her strength to lift the block of ice that has the frozen Dana and throws it into the Ghost Zone before closing it.
"If only I bought the thermos, I could have capture her easily." Dani said.
Meanwhile, Danny and Dan were battling against each other. Dan is giving Danny a hard time since he is using the Staff of Reality to his advantage. Danny flew towards Dan, but he use the Staff to form a concrete hand out of the street, which ended up punching Danny back. Danny got back up and was about to fire a ecto-ray, but Dan once again use the Staff, this time making Danny's motion goes slow as he uses time against him. Dan then flew at top speed before giving Danny a powerful ecto-energy strike, sending him flying before crashing into a parked truck. Dan then laughed as Danny gets back up to his feet.
"You're still pathetic, Danny. Even after our last fight, you're still the pathetic hero I know. If only you became me 16 years ago, you would have been the most powerful and feared ghost ever." Dan said.
"Please, I fulfilled my promise that I'll never become you and even though the timeline has been altered and can never become you, I will still fulfill that promise." Danny said.
"Please, you're still soft, weak, and for what? To protect this poor excuse of a world, to become the so-called hero? It's pathetic, and now that I have this Staff and control reality once again, I will assure that this time, your life ends today and the people of Earth will finally realized what a complete failure you have been and how you failed to stop me." Dan said.
"Like you said last time? How that turn out?" Danny asked.
Dan growled. He then points the Staff at Danny as the Gem of Infinity starts to glow.
"Alright, it's time I end you here and now." Dan said.'
Dan then fired the Staff, but Danny managed to fly out of the way before he flew at top speed before wrapping a ecto-rope around Dan's waist. He then send a Ghost Stinger, electrocuting Dan, causing him to scream in pain. As he screams in pain, Dan struggles to raise the Staff. He managed to do so and points it at a nearby cloud. He fires a beam from the Gem of Infinity and cause the cloud to transform into multiple sharp icicles. The icicles fell towards Danny, causing him to break the hold on Dan so that he can evade them. Dan use the Staff to fire a beam at the street. Suddenly, a SAM turret emerge out of the ground before aiming at Danny.
"Uh oh." Danny said.
The SAM then fired three missiles at Danny. Danny immediately flew away as the missiles started to chase him. As Danny tries to evade, Danny shot a ice ray at one missile, freezing it in place. Danny then shot a Asgardian energy flash at the second missile, causing it to explode. Danny then was about to fire at the third missile before a idea came to mind. Danny then allow the third missile to chase him as he flies around the buildings like a maze. After a few turns, he noticed Dan, not looking at his direction. Danny then went intangible as he flew through Dan harmlessly. Danny then made himself solid. Danny then fired another Asgardian energy flash at Dan, making him fly towards the missile. Dan collides with the missile, which explodes on him as a result.
"What's the matter Dan? Lost your rhythm?" Danny taunted.
Dan gets back to his feet before growling at Danny.
"I'm gonna make sure you don't live to see another day!" Dan said.
"Then get me!" Danny said.
"Die!" Dan yelled.
Dan then flew at top speed towards Danny. Danny stood his ground before he press a button on his utility belt. Danny then course his ecto energy through the suit as the green oval on his belt and his green DP logo started to glow a brighter green. He then fired a powerful ecto blast from the belt. Dan noticed the blast and uses the Staff to block it. However, the Staff was no match for the blast, making Dan fly back before crashing at a parked car. Dan was about to get back to his feet when he noticed that Danny's ecto-blast split the Staff in two.
"My Staff! You damaged it!" Dan yelled in anger.
Danny however flew at top speed towards Dan. Dan's eyes then glow a pupiless red before he used his flaming hair to shot a very powerful ecto-fire blast at Danny, making him crashed to the ground just as Dani and the rest of the team shows up. Dan then look at the Staff and realized he can't enact his revenge and plans as long as the Staff is broken in two.
"You and your pathetic team may have won this round, but mark my words Danny and Danielle, when I get this Staff fixed and we meet again, your lives will come to a end soon. However, that doesn't mean I won't give you all a hard time." Dan sad.
Dan then used the upper part of the Staff and use all his might to get the Gem of Infinity to glow. He then shot two beams into the sky and at the ground before two ghost portals appear above and in front of City Hall.
"Until then, I will continue to give you all threats as I pleased. Good luck trying to defend Amity Park in the mean time." Dan said before he laugh and flew into the portal.
"Danny, you alright?" Tucker asked, causing Danny to glare at him. "Sorry, rhetorical question."
"What happened?" Sam asked.
"I've managed to break his Staff in half, ending Dan and Dana's initial threat for now." Danny said.
"But they'll come back though." Dani said.
"They will. In the meantime, he and Dana will continue to pose a threat. Dan left these two ghost portals open, meaning his new army can attack freely at any time. Let's head back to Fenton Works. Would be better to explain our next strategy from there." Danny said.
And that's the end of the chapter. Yep, the Staff has been damaged. This will definitely give the team time to come up with plans to stop Dan and Dana, if only they thought it was that easy. Please review. :)
