CHAPTER FORTY: WATER VS POISON
Lucy wakes up and discovers that Virgo has given her and Natsu new clothes to wear from the Celestial Spirit world. Virgo disappears afterwards, returning to the Spirit Word. Lucy realizes that she lost all her magic power. Suddenly, Sherry comes out of the forest towards them. "I found you, Fairy Tail wizards..." Sherry mumbled. Lucy looks at her in confusion as Sherry chuckled, using her Magic to attack them. In a split second, water blocks the attack.
"You idiot!" Aira yelled, grabbing Sherry from behind. "You guys safe?"
"Let me go! Damn you! I'm getting revenge for Lyon-sama!" Sherry demanded, yelling at Aira.
"While I was searching for you guys, I found her attacking Gray. She was acting weird after I released Gray from her attack. Saying about revenge and stuff." Aira explained.
"You were acting pretty weird before too!" Natsu angrily said. Aira raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Natsu, that was a fake..." Lucy commented.
"I won't forgive Fairy Tail! Revenge for Lyon-sama!" Sherry struggled under Aira.
"Revenge for who exactly?" A figure approached them. They looked at the figure who ended up being Lyon with Racer in his hand and Gray standing next to him. "Reports of my death are greatly exaggerated."
"Lyon-sama?" Sherry looked at him in relief.
"He's a stubborn one." Gray said.
"Well, it was pretty close... The guy's bomb lacrima was more powerful than I thought. It took a long time before I was able to move again." Lyon explained.
"Yup, he's stubborn all right." Lucy commented.
"Well, I'm not as stubborn as this guy." Lyon said, referring to Natsu.
"Say what?!" Natsu yelled.
"You jump down his throat for that?" Lucy questioned.
Sherry cried tears of joy, resting her body on the ground. "Thank... goodness..." The darkness lifted from her.
"What's this?" Natsu asked.
"As I thought, she was taken over by something..." Gray said.
"That's Nirvana..." Lucy added on.
"The black pillar has turned white!" Carla and Wendy stared at the magic pillar.
"I wonder what's happening?" Wendy mumbled.
Happy struggles to get Hibiki out of the water. "Hibiki, wake up already! I hope everyone is okay... Natsu... Erza..."
Cobra emerged from the shadows, revealing himself to Jellal and Erza. He demands to know how Jellal knew of Nirvana's location and why he released the seal. Jellal reveals that he dimly remembered it when he heard the voices of those who want Nirvana for themselves. He continues to explain that it is a magic that can't fall into anyone's hands and reveals that he has released the seal in order to destroy it. A Magic Circle then appears on Nirvana, a Self-Destruction spell, that Cobra can't deactivate. A smaller circle also appears on Jellal as he plans to destroy Nirvana along with himself in order to free Erza from her sadness and hate.
Erza scolded Jellal for resorting to such methods and tells him that he can't possibly be at peace and that he still has sins to repent for. She cries and tells him to live, but it seems Jellal would not budge. However, his Self-Destruction spell is stopped by Brain, who turns out to have been the one who taught Jellal that type of Magic.
Erza tries to attack Brain but he already ordered Nirvana to awake, causing the ground to crumble.
"We were too late?" Lyon watched Nirvana's light transformation as he carried Sherry.
"What the...?!" Natsu exclaimed.
"That's..." Aira mumbled.
"I-I think we're in trouble..." Lucy added.
"Damn it! Erza was inside that light!" Aira informed.
"Oh, no!" Lucy yelled, worried for Erza.
"I never smelled anything so dangerous as this!" Natsu commented.
Hoteye uses his magic to oversee the future. He sees something huge coming their way. Hoteye and Jura watch Nirvana transform.
"What in the world is this?! I don't get it!" Natsu yelled.
"It's coming out of the ground around here!" Gray stated.
"So this is what Nirvana is?!" Lucy said.
"Can you even call it "magic" at this point?" Lyon questioned.
The ground shook underneath them. "Whoa, the ground's shaking...!" Natsu pointed out.
"Does anyone else hear cracking?" Aira asked.
"I have a really, really bad feeling about this..." Lucy said.
"No kidding." Lyon stated.
"I called it!" Lucy shrieked as one of Nirvana's legs rises above them, taking them into the sky.
One of the legs sent Wendy flying away, but Carla catches her on time. They fly near the ancient city and realize Nirvana's true form.
Erza and Jellal manage to survive as the city uproots off of the ground. Erza helps Jellal up, sitting on top of Nirvana. Jellal feels hopeless that he wasn't able to stop Nirvana, but Erza takes a look at Natsu, Aira, and Lucy running up the leg.
"Go, Fairy Tail..." Lyon said, watching them run with Gray standing beside him.
Jura is accompanied by Hoteye as they climb one of Nirvana's legs in order to stop the Oracion Seis.
"We'll run up these and then bust up the main body!" Natsu yelled.
"By the way, this has been bugging me, why are you guys in matching outfits?" Aira asked.
"Don't ask me!" Lucy replied, yelling at him.
Together they decide to travel forward with Jellal having newfound hope and encouragement due to Erza's words.
When Nirvana begins to move, Natsu's motion sickness kicks in. "What do you think you're doing, Natsu?!" Aira shouted.
"Get it together already, 'kay?!" Lucy said.
"The thing's... You know, that..." Natsu groaned.
"That?" Lucy asked.
"It's t-transportation, right?" Natsu asked.
"It's moving, but it's not transportation!" Aira responded. "Think of it like that!"
"Got it!" Natsu gets back up with determination, trying his best to run. He gives up after a couple of steps. "I-I'm gonna hurl..."
"These are octopus legs! You're okay riding animals, right?!" Lucy questioned.
"There ain't any octopus in the forest..." Natsu commented.
"Stop sweating the details!" Lucy yelled.
Natsu smacks his head, clearing his mind. "Okay! I'm fine now!" The leg stomps on the ground, causing it to tremble. Natsu almost falls off the leg.
"Idiot! Don't let it get to you!" Aira shouted.
"I know! Leave it to me!" Natsu said. The leg moves once more, Natsu slides off, almost falling off the ground. "I can't do it!" He falls back down, letting the motion sickness get into his head.
"Natsu!" Lucy called out.
"It's completely useless! We have to find another way!" Aira said. As they climb higher on the leg to the anicent city, Happy and Cain fly towards them. "Happy! Cain!"
"Thank goodness, Happy and Cain!" Lucy said in relief.
"Aye!" Happy replied.
"Is everyone okay?!" Cain added on.
"Yeah!" Aira reassured his partner.
"Where's Natsu?!" Happy asked. He finally notices Natsu who's ahead of Aira and Lucy, but he is unable to move. He flies towards Natsu to check on him. "Are you alright, Natsu?!"
"Happy..." Natsu reaches his hand out, groaning and hurling.
"If Happy picks up Natsu, it will get rid of his motion sickness! Which also means we might have a chance to stop the Oracion Seis!" Lucy stated.
"Right... But I had a different idea in mind!" Aira said.
"What?!" Lucy asked in confusion.
"This!" Aira grabs onto Cain's hoodie as he picked him up.
"Huh? Aira?" Cain questioned.
"I'm going to stop that snake-eyed bastard and Brain once and for all!" Aira claimed and turns to look at Natsu, Lucy, and Happy. "I'll meet you guys in the center!"
"What are you talking about, Aira?!" Lucy asked.
"Cain, let's fly!" Aira told him.
"Are you insane, Aira?! I just got you back, I'm not losing you again!" Cain argued.
"Just take me up there! I promise that snake bastard will get what's coming to him!" Aira promised. Cain sighed and opened his wings, grabbing onto his partner as they fly towards Nirvana. "It's a city... And it looks really old." They both wonder why it looks so old and destroyed.
"This smell..." Aira picks up a familiar scent. "It's his smell!"
"Finally, Brain! We've gotten Nirvana!" Cobra said. Brain chuckles to himself. "So this is a relic of the ancients? Cubellios, this is pretty awesome!" Cubellios hisses at him in agreement.
"Look, Cobra! Look at that world spread out below me!" Brain overlooks at the ancient city. Cobra walks up to him to see it as well. "The city of ancients... That itself is the true identity of Nirvana! While I stand here on the King's Summit, this city moves exactly as I will it!"
"Move? Are we making it go somewhere?" Cobra asked.
"I'm aiming for a certain guild, you see..." Brain replied.
"Our first target?" Cobra smirked.
"Call it the first land to have its light exitinguished." Brain uses his magic to create a Magic Circle. "Go forth, ancient city! Change our darkness for the light!" They see a light flying towards them.
"I'm gonna stop ya!" Aira yelled. He punches through the Magic Circle. Cain helps him fly back up. "Water Dragon's Roar!" He attempts to attack Brain who shields himself.
"Cobra! Don't let him interfere!" Brain ordered.
"Right! Cubellios!" Cobra orders Cubellios to attack Aira and Cain, sending them a short distance from Brain.
"I'll destroy you!" Aira tries to counter attack with another roar, but Cobra, jumping off of Cubellios, attacks him. "Thanks, Cain."
"I told you I wasn't going to let anything happen to you." Cain answered.
"Why, that..." Aira and Cain are surprised to see that Cubellios is able to sprout wings of its own.
"What's that?! The snake is flying!" Cain pointed out.
"I see... You use that cat as a slave to make you fly." Cobra commented.
"What? Cain is my partner, you jerk. Plus, I find it easier to get up here." Aira stated.
"But you come up here while you leave your other friends behind?" Cobra questioned.
"That ain't none of your business, bastard!" Aira yelled. "Besides, I'm going to pay you back from what you did to me during our first encounter, and while I'm at it, I'm stopping this big pile of junk!"
"Go ahead and try. I won't let you near Brain." Cobra said.
"Brain?" Aira looks at Brain underneath him. "So he's the one that's moving it?"
"Bring it on, Dragon Slayer!" Cobra challenged, moving his hand to make him come forward.
"Right!" Aira yelled as Cain flies him directly at Cobra. Cobra hears something, reading his thoughts. "...Pretend like that, but aim for that guy!"
"On it!" Cain agreed. Cubellios attacks Aira with its tail, sending them flying away.
"Again..." Aira groaned.
"He totally predicted your moves!" Cain said. Aira shakes his head back to reality.
"I can hear your movements!" Cobra stated. Aira gives him a death glare. "Yes, that's better. Let's play."
Wendy and Carla are finally on Nirvana. Carla is exhausted from flying too much. Wendy and Carla are shocked to find that the moving city is moving toward their guild, Cait Shelter.
After multiple fail attempts to attack Brain, Aira and Cain fly back. "Damn it! I can't hit him with anything!"
"I wonder what kind of magic he uses?" Cain wondered.
"I have to finish this creep off quick, or I'll never be able to get at that guy!" Aira said. "Let's go, Cain... We'll kick both their asses and stop this huge pile of junk!"
"Right!" Cain agreed.
"Not gonna happen. You guys will never be able to crush our wish!" Cobra smiled at him. "Now, I'm going to enjoy this..."
"Damn you!" Aira screamed.
One of the legs start to move, stomping on the ground. "Huh? Look at that, Aira!" Cain pointed out. "See? The Magic Circle is back to normal! I thought your last attack erased it..."
"Which means unless we beat up this jerk, it's no use." Aira stated.
"I can hear you! I won't let you!" Cobra chuckled.
"Damn it, this guy's in our way!" Aira said.
"We aren't going to lose when it comes to teamwork!" Cain stated.
"Cobra, get rid of them." Brain ordered.
"I heard ya. He'll make a nice meal for Cubellios." Cobra said. Cubellios hissed at them.
"We aren't food, you know!" Cain argued.
"Bring it on!" Aira challenged.
"Cubellios!" Cobra ordered. Cubellios attacked them, but they are able to dodge.
"Aira!" Cain yelled.
"Right! Water Dragon's Wing Attack!" Aira sends streams of water towards them, but Cubellios dodges it.
"It missed?!" Cain exclaimed.
"I'm not finished yet!" Aira made a motion with both of his hands as he shoots out a large quantity of water, hoping it would hit Cobra. Cubellios easily dodges it. "S-Seriously?!"
"Aira, you didn't hit them once..." Cain commented.
"There was no way it could've been avoided... It should've hit him." Aira breathed heavily.
"I wonder..." Cain trailed off. Cubellios hits them with its tail again, sending them flying across the sky.
"I told you already! Your attacks can't hit me!" Cobra stated. "I can hear your movements!"
"Then listen to this!" Aira and Cain charge at him. However, Cubellios slaps them away.
"Fall!" Cobra yelled as Cubellios slaps them to the ground.
"Cain!" Aira called out, close to hitting the ground.
"Right!" Cain flies up, missing the ground.
"Talk about a close call... Nice one, Cain!" Aira told his partner.
"Where'd he go?!" Cain asked. Suddenly, Cobra and Cubellios appear and attack the two.
"Run, run! It makes the hunt much more exciting!" Cobra taunted.
"Damn it... Really rubs our noses in his superiority, doesn't he?!" Aira said.
"Women totally hate guys like him." Cain commented. They fly into one of the buildings. "What should we do, Aira?"
"I'm thinking!" Aira thinks of a plan. "If we hide here, he might track us down and we can ambush him..."
Suddenly, Cobra attacks them from the side. "I can hear you!" Cubellios flies right beside him. "And what do you mean, women totally hate guys like me?"
"You heard that, too?!" Cain exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Lucy is carrying Natsu with his arm over her shoulder with Happy right next to her, inside the city of Nirvana. Lucy reminds him that it's an octopus not a transportation, Natsu argues with her that octopus don't live in forests. They both meet Hoteye and Jura, but Jura explains that Hoteye changed his personality. Hoteye explains the origins of Nirvana and concludes that Brain is controlling Nirvana at the King's area. They later encounter Midnight.
Realizing that Hoteye changed sides, Midnight attacks the group with his Reflector, which slices the building around them. However, Hoteye manages to save the group with his Earth Magic and tells them to leave and find Brain while he fights Midnight. Hoteye uses his Liquid Ground to attack, but Midnight is able to deflect it. When Jura, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy continue to watch the fight, Hoteye tells them to go and reveals that his real name is Richard. Midnight is angered that Hoteye revealed his true name to the enemy but Hoteye tells him that he was awakened by love and has no need for code names. Hoteye then uses his Magic to attack.
Aira tries to attack Cobra with his fists covered in water, but misses again. "He dodged again!"
"When will you ever give up?!" Cobra asked.
"Damn it! Nothing I've thrown at him connects!" Aira complained.
"I wonder if he has some magic that lets him read our movement?!" Cain said.
"No, it lets me hear them!" Cobra stated. "I can hear your mind's thoughts, and tell your movements."
"My thoughts?" Aira repeated.
"In that case... Can you hear this?!" Cain questioned as Cobra listened carefully at his thoughts.
"I know you want to protect your Dragon Slayer at all costs." Cobra told him.
"He can totally hear them!" Cain exclaimed.
"My turn!" Aira said.
"They totally think my magic's some slideshow?" Cobra sweat dropped. Aira tests him as Cobra carefully hears his thoughts.
Cobra then bursts out laughing. "Oh my god, that's hilarious!" He exclaimed.
"I know right?" Aira agreed.
"I don't get it, Aira. Why is he laughing?" Cain questioned.
"I'll tell you when you're older." Aira answered. "Anyway, this guy will be tricky to finish him off."
"I have a good idea, but I think he can hear it." Cain comes up with a plan.
"Think "right" but attack from the left." Cobra reads out loud. "Not going to work. I can hear you planning it out. You punks have no way to win." Aira clenches his jaw. "Oh. I see. I hear you. You thought about quite a lot. You have three or four decent plans. I heard them all."
"Shut up!" Aira yelled. "I guess we have no choice but to head straight in!"
"Right!" Cain agreed.
One minute later...
"This is not going to work!" Aira said, panting.
"Aira, don't get so worked up. You're using a lot of your magic power." Cain told him.
Aira ignores him. "Here I go!" He exclaimed.
Cain sighed. "Do you ever think clearly?!" He scolded. Aira and Cain charge at Cobra, but he easily dodges them all.
"Right hook. Left kick. Followed by a roundhouse kick, and a comeback straight right!" Cobra reads all of his attacks out loud. One of his punches touches Cobra's cheek, punching him off Cubellios. "What?! Impossible!" Aira continues to attack him with his hands and feet covered in water. "I can hear it... He's not thinking anything!" Cobra then grabs one of Aira's hands. "I don't know whether he's stupid or a genius! But I never faced someone like him before! I see. Little tricks ain't working for you, eh?" His entire arm transforms into a scaly arm, burning Aira's hand with poison.
"M-My hand..." Aira grabs onto his hand, feeling the stinging pain.
"Aira, what's the matter?!" Cain questioned.
"Poison Dragon Cobra... It's time I get serious." Cobra announced, revealing that he's also a Dragon Slayer.
"N-No way..." Cain gasped.
"Don't tell me this guy is a..." Aira began.
"...Dragon Slayer?!" Aira and Cain exclaimed in unison.
Cobra immediately attacks them with his claws. Aira and Cain narrowly dodge the attack and realizes the difficulty of their battle. Cobra then jumps off Cubellios and, with his feet covered in poison, kicks Aira.
"Are you okay?" Cain asked worriedly.
"Damn it... What's with these attacks? Each time they hit, I get more numb!" Aira's skin burns from the poison.
"I can hear your pain!" Cobra taunted. "The attacks of a Poison Dragon can infect and destroy anything!"
"Is that so?! Then I'll destroy your lousy poison!" Aira taunts back at him. "Let's go!"
"Right!" Cain agreed.
"Water Dragon's Wave Fist!" Aira charges at Cobra.
"Fall and rot! Poison Dragon's Fang Thrust!" Cobra defends himself. The two cause an explosion as Aira and Cain are sent flying away separately.
Cain recovers by using his wings while on the other hand, Aira falls down and crashes into a building. "I dropped him!" Cain exclaimed, flying over to Aira.
"Cain...!" Aira groaned. Cain picks him back up and flies him over to where Cobra is.
"I'm sorry I dropped you!" Cain said.
"No... I'm okay." Aira reassured him, shaking his head back to reality.
"He don't know when to quit do he, Cubellios?" Cobra speaks to his snake as it hisses back.
"Jackass!" Aira attempts to punch him, but Cobra easily dodges him.
"I can hear everything... Not just your thoughts, but the movement of your muscles, even your breathing!" Cobra taunted.
"Our attacks aren't landing on him... Were you not thinking?!" Cain asked.
"Ever since I found out he was a Dragon Slayer, it hasn't gone so well..." Aira admitted.
"Clear your mind! It'll work better!" Cain said. "Here we go!" Cain and Aira charge once more.
"Water Dragon's Jet Claw!" Aira attacks with a large quantity of water upon his feet.
"Poison Dragon's Spiral Jaw!" Cobra jumps up and kicks him away. Aira and Cain are overpowered and fall to the ground.
"Damn... That hurt..." Aira groaned.
"Pull yourself together, Aira!" Cain said. He sees a ball of fire falling on top of them. "Aira!" The large fireball causes a huge explosion.
Cobra searches for his opponents in the sky. "Did he get turned to ash? No wait..." Steam was coming from where the flames were.
"He completely washed out the flames?! Well, don't see that every day, Cubellios." Cobra said.
Aira flies back up, glaring at Cobra. Cain flies through and around him. "Follow me if you dare, slanty-eyes!"
"You're one to talk, bluey!" Cobra spat back in annoyance, chasing after Aira. "Poison Dragon's Scales!"
"Max Speed!" Cain dodges them. Smoke appears around them.
After the smoke vanishes, only Cain appears.
Cobra looks above him and sees Aira attacking directly at him. "Stupid... Don't you realize a feint isn't going to work by now?!"
"I had to get close!" Aira smirked. "Water Dragon's..." Cobra grabs his mouth and throws him aside.
"Aira!" Cain catches him on time.
"I think it's time to eat!" Cubellios spits out poison mist around Cobra.
"Poison gas..." Cain muttered. Cobra eats up all the poison. "He's eating the poison."
"That doesn't seem very healthy." Aira commented.
"Now that I've eaten, I'm all fired up... yeah?" Cobra taunted.
"Don't go copying that flaming piece of shit, you bastard!" Aira yelled.
"Rot and die!" Cobra shouted. "Poison Dragon's..."
"His breath attack?!" Aira exclaimed, worried for what's coming next.
"This is bad!" Cain commented.
"...Roar!" Cobra spits out poison at them, sending them flying away further.
"W-What? That didn't cause much damage at all..." Aira said as his skin burns from the poison. Cain begins to lose altitude. "What's wrong, Cain?" Cain mumbles something as he falls back down further. "Wake up, Cain!"
"For some reason... my body... isn't moving right..." Cain replied.
"Don't worry about it! Same for me." Aira informed.
"That's what I'm actually worried about!" Cain stated.
Cobra laughed evilly. "The breath of the Poison Dragon infects your entire body with a virus! It slowly steals your mobility and then your life!" Cain is still mumbling a few words as Aira looks up at Cobra. "The moment you got hit with that breath, your defeat was guaranteed!"
"Oh, shut the hell up!" Aira screamed, jumping up using his water as steam appeared from under him. "I don't give a crap about your poison!" Cain and Aira charge at Cobra. "Water Dragon's Combination Spell: Scald!"
Cobra easily dodges him again. "I can hear your movements!"
"Damn it!" Aira cursed.
"But for someone to be able to still move after being hit with my poison... You Old Generation Dragon Slayers ain't half bad." Cobra commented.
"Old Generation?" Aira repeated.
"I'm a New Generation Dragon Slayer. I received power to slay dragon's by having a dragon lacrima infused into my body." Cobra explained.
"It's what Gramps said." Aira mumbled.
"He's the same as Laxus! He's not a real Dragon Slayer!" Cain commented.
"Real?! Dragon Slaying Magic was originally only able to be learned by dragons! It was not a technique for humans." Cobra explained. "If you ask me, you're the one that's the freak! Because there ain't any dragons in this world!"
"Huh?! Just try saying that again! Kaito does exist! I should know, he was my father and mentor! He was the one who taught me Dragon Slayer Magic! But of course, you don't know anything about that, do you, you damn artifical Dragon Slayer!" Aira yelled, charging at Cobra.
"Nope! Dragons are extinct!" Cobra argued.
"Don't go killing them off so easily!" Aira shouted.
"Poison Dragon's Twin Fang!" Cobra easily attacks him.
"M-My body... I can't move... Damn it..." Aira feels the effect of the poison again.
"I can hear the poison spreading throughout your entire body. Rot and die right here before me, Old Generation." Cobra taunted.
"Aira... I'm at my limit, too..." Cain said weakly.
"Drop me right on top of him." Aira said.
Cobra can hear them speaking. "What are you saying, Aira?! Didn't you just say you couldn't move?!" Cain protested.
"I don't care! I need to defeat him with this one move." Aira said.
"What are you going to do?" Cain asked.
"A full power Water Dragon's Roar?" Cobra thought. "Idiot... I can hear what you're thinking."
"Now!" Aira yelled.
"Right!" Cain drops Aira.
"It was more of a nuisance when he was attacking without thinking." Cobra thinks to himself. "This is over!"
"Water Dragon's..." Aira begins to fall on Cobra.
"It's no use! I can hear you! You plan on aiming all around! Think you can hit me no matter where I dodge?!" Cobra jumps off of Cubellios. "But it won't reach straight behind your head!" He grabs Aira from behind. "I'll smash in that head of yours!"
"Aira!" Cain cried out.
"Go meet your dragon in the afterlife!" Cobra laughs out loud.
"Damn you!" Aira roared. He lets out a long piercing and deafening scream that is heard throughout Nirvana. Everybody covers their ears, wondering where that horrifying loud noise is coming from and what it was. Aira roared just like the Water Dragon King, Kaito. An image of Kaito appears behind him. Aira stops roaring, breathing heavily.
The scream affects Cobra differently due to his enhanced hearing and he falls to the ground. "My ears!"
"That was some roar, all right." Cain commented.
"Having good ears might bring you down in the end." Aira stated.
"Impossible... Defeating Cobra with nothing but a scream?" Brain asked himself, shocked to see Cobra defeated. "Just who is that man?"
"I'm tired... My body doesn't feel so..." Cain muttered.
"Is it his poison?" Aira questioned. "Damn it..."
"Hey!" A voice called out. Aira looks up and sees Natsu and Happy heading their way.
"Natsu..." Aira groaned.
"Natsu! Happy!" Cain said in relief. Natsu catches up to them, feeling fine for the moment.
"What the hell happened to you?!" Natsu grabs Aira's scarf shaking him back and forth.
"Natsu, please stop. I just got done defeating Cobra." Aira informed.
"So that roar was yours? You almost killed my ears, you water breathing bastard!" Natsu shouted.
"I didn't mean too! How else was I suppose to defeat him?!" Aira shouted back.
Being on Nirvana's triggers, Natsu stops shaking Aira as his motion sickness kicks in. "Transportation..." Natsu groaned as he falls on the ground.
"Dumbass..." Aira muttered.
Suddenly, Cobra stands back on his feet. Aira looks up to see Cobra standing over him. "By the pride of the Six Generals, I will defeat you!"
"Damn it... I can't move..." Aira looks over towards Natsu who is hurling. "And Natsu can't fight due to his motion sickness... Crap..."
"I can hear it... I can hear the end of the life of an Old Generation Dragon Slayer!" Cobra strikes down, but he is shot by Brain.
"Enough, Cobra." Brain ordered.
"B-Brain?! What are you..." Cobra turns to look at Brain over his shoulder.
"You did well. Rest in peace." Brain said. "In the end, nothing more than a fake Dragon Slayer... I have no need for him as one of the six generals that will crush the official guilds. Trash!" Cobra listens in on his thoughts. "Oops. Did you hear that?" Brain laughed out loud as Cobra cries.
"Damn you... Damn you!" Cobra exclaimed, glaring at Brain evilly. He looks over at Cubellios. "My prayer... I only wanted to hear the voice of my one friend... Cubellios..." Cobra collapsed from the injury.
Natsu was watching the entire time, watching Brain finish off his comrade and hearing Cobra's prayer. "Weren't you... his ally?" He struggles to get up, fighting his motion sickness.
"Ally? I can gather as many as I wish shortly. Using Nirvana's power, that is." Brain said.
"You can't call those allies." Natsu stated. "They're just puppets!"
"Natsu..." Aira groaned.
"Now, now... Don't get testy. I have taken an interest in your power. I suspect you know what I mean by that. I will make you my puppet slave!" Brain reveals his plan to Natsu.
