A Repulsive Yet Alluring Scent
'Rem' seeing her awake, not being in a coma like state from being a victim from the Sin Archbishop. Subaru couldn't help but have a genuine smile on her face, if one thing is for sure this time surely he'll protect her.
"Rem, Rem our guest appears to be looking at us with lustful ill intent in his eyes"
"Nee-samma, Nee-sama he's stripping us with his mind. He's no doubt doing vile things to us in his head as we speak"
The two sisters close to each other were accusing Subaru of doing things in his imagination. This was super nostalgic as they only did this the one time ever when he first met them. Both were wearing maid outfits with the typical black colour as its base and white outlines. The dress reached all the way down, unfortunately not letting their thighs be seen. And white stockings that went all the way past the maid outfit so it was hard for Subaru to see exactly where it ended. However one thing was for sure, they both looked absolutely wonderful in that outfit. The main difference between the two was one had blue hair and the other pink. And the blue haired maid Rem, had bigger breasts.
'As much I want to hug Rem and be happy for our Reunion. I have to be careful, like last time she must think I'm a witch cultist because of the Witch's scent lingering in on me. Should I make something up to try and convince her that I'm not a threat? Or retrace my steps? No, as much as I've tried I'm not able to keep things the way they were before. Something's different and I need to figure out what first'
Subaru held his chin while looking down while he was in deep thought. He still hasn't said a word since waking up making the sisters worry if they did too much in their shenanigans. However the silence was broken when Subaru made a decision and spoke up "I know that I have mean looking eyes, lots of people told me that in my life. But I promise I'm not actually doing what you just said I am" He ended that with a small chuckle and a hand rubbing the back of his head.
He chose to not mention the Witch's Scent since he didn't have a credible story to go with an explanation. Lying right now and if questioned without any proof could lead to future doubt upon himself. He'll cross the bridge with Rem when it comes. For now he'll do his best on just making the right decisions with the knowledge he currently has. Rem is going to be suspicious of him, the village is going to be attacked by Mabeasts and if he doesn't intervene Rem will be cursed to die. He'll try to gain the trust of Ram and Rem and make some plan to deal with the Mabeast attack. It's a rough plan but he'll add on to it depending on his progress. Hopefully like the loot house incident he wouldn't have to use Return by Death.
"We accept your apology, but please do keep your wild imagination with us two to the minimum. We know me and Rem are too adorable to not think about" Ram stated with such confidence.
"I just said I wasn't doing that!" Nice to know Ram is still Ram but it would be nice if she wasn't degrading me no matter what loop we're in.
*Knock Knock*
"I'm glad you're up and seem to be doing well Subaru" Emilia was at the door, she was in a pink gown with sleeves but her shoulders were open. The gown reached past her waist letting him see her wonderful thighs. And just below her thighs were white stockings that went just above her knees. Overall this outfit didn't really bring out her 'sexiness' from her body but more of her cute side which was a win in Subaru's book.
"Seeing as I'm not dead and you're here? Am I safe to assume I have you to thank for me still being alive?" Subaru turned his attention to Emilia, he couldn't really appreciate it at the loot house because of Elsa. But it was really nice to see her normal again and not being broken down by the trials set by Echidna.
"That's not true, if you hadn't warned puck when Elsa appeared I might have met my end. Even when you tried to stop Elsa from attacking near the end bought enough time for Reinhard to come. If anything it should be me thanking you" She had a blush on her face and both her hands behind her waist. She seemed kind of shy as she said this.
'Why does she look nervous? She thanked me for saving her just like last time but she definitely was not shy like this. Come to think of it she also seemed off when we were in the loot house'
"Emilia-sama, our guest was giving Rem the ultimate shame in his mind"
"Emilia-sama, this man was thinking of doing unspeakable things to nee-sama"
The two pointed at Subaru declaring things which were untrue! "Now, now don't tease him too much" Emilia smiled while walking towards him. 'While certain things drifted off from how it was before at least I made it to this point still'
"I guess it's time to start off the day!" Subaru raised his arms, stretching them while he got off the bed. "Wait a minute, I'm in a robe? Where's my tracksuit?" As if on cue Ram came forward with his tracksuit folded neatly on her hands.
"When you arrived you weren't injured however you were covered in dirt in grime as were your clothes. We took the liberty of cleaning you and washing your clothes while you were unconscious" She handed him the clothes, however he stood still as the words spoken to him were still processing.
"Just one last thing" He had a huge blush on his face now, a bit afraid of the answer he was going to receive. "Who exactly stripped and cleaned me?" Ram turned her head to look towards Emilia who was now no longer looking at Subaru as if too embarrassed and then turned her head back to Subaru.
"Usually such a task would be given to a servant such as Ram or Rem" she sighed before continuing "However Emilia-sama was very adamant of taking on the role despite telling her it was our job to do such tasks. Using the excuse of you saving her being the reason she must do it"
"It's not an excuse! He saved me and I just wanted to do something to return the favor" Emilia had her hands covering her face while she exclaimed this. Taking a peak at Subaru but only to hide her face with her hands when she saw him looking at her.
"You were filthy, however cleaning you should have only taken half an hour at most. Whether it was for her wanting to be thorough or other reasons she ended up cleaning your body for two hours and only stopped when the Great Spirit Puck convinced her it was enough" Ram said with a blank look but it was easy to tell she was saying it in a suggestive manner.
"Ram!" Emilia yelled with her face as red as it has ever been. "I just wanted to make sure you clean! No one wants to sleep dirty right?! I was just making sure you were comfortable when you woke up. Yup yup that's it!" Emilia was trying to convince Subaru that what she did wasn't weird at all.
Subaru would have questioned her weird behavior even more if it wasn't for him feeling so embarrassed by the thought of his crush seeing his naked body when he wasn't even awake.
He quickly grabbed his tracksuit from Ram "Yeah that makes sense, now if it's okay I would like to change clothes!"
With that being said both Rem and Ram turned towards the door and left, except Emilia. "Umm, Emilia-tan I kind of want to change so I don't think it's best if you were here" Stretching his cheek at the awkward situation of her not leaving.
Tilting her head "Tan? What does that mean?"
"Oh, it's just a sign of affection from where I come from. Don't worry about it too much" Subaru still wanted to change however he didn't want to outright just say get out and maybe hurt her feelings.
"Affection?!" Emilia rushed to his side, Subaru startled of her doing so slightly backed away. As she inched forward he went back. His back was on the bed and her hovering over him with a smile on her face and a look on her face he's never seen on her before. "I'm so glad you have some form of affection towards me" She brought her face closer to his, however passed him so that her lips were right next to his ear. Whispering "To tell you the truth I also have a form of affection to you"
If one could hear how fast Subaru's heart was beating you could tell it was going dangerously fast that his Return by Death ability might activate. He needed her to get out of here fast. Don't get him wrong, he does love the newfound interest she has for him. The problem is he knows Emilia, and her doing this out of nowhere like this was definitely not normal. Something was at work here and he needed to think about what's causing it. And he can't think properly when the most beautiful girl he's ever laid eyes on was whispering in his ears, so close to him he could feel her heavenly chest pressed against him. Her now wrapping her around him into a deeper embrace?! She was never this physical with me before and if he doesn't stop her my hormones might make me do something that'll get him in trouble!
"E-Emilia-tan! While I'm happy you feel that way I do need to change and get ready for the day" He grabbed her shoulders and tried to pry her off his body… but man is she stronger than him! She didn't budge, it seems she really didn't want to let go of him. Still whispering in his ear "I can help you, I already saw you without your clothes so it doesn't matter. There's no need for me to leave don't you think"
Subaru's poor adolescent heart that wished to have a wholesome pure relationship was about to have a lewd experience before they could even have their first date. "Emilia-tan! If you don't stop I might not be able to hold back!" Subaru was pleading at this point for Emilia to let go, with her heavily breathing in his ear and her squirming her body into him. It was as if she was humping him with her whole body.
"Can't hold back, huh? Exactly what do you mean by that?" A small gray cat appeared above the two. He had his arms crossed and looked at Subaru with harmful intent. "Puck I swear I'm not making her do this!" Puck doubted him but found out Subaru was actually telling the truth. (Puck is able to tell if someone is lying or not. Or it was something about him telling what type of intent or emotions a person has)
"I tried getting her off me but she won't budge! You have to help me here" Puck didn't know how to feel about the situation they were in. He could tell the boy didn't do anything to make her become like this. However he knows for certain that he's the cause of it. Whether it's intentional or not. Before Puck could say anything though.
"Subaru! Subaru! Subaru!" Emilia however, despite refusing to let go of him, had no idea what she was doing. She just really wanted to be close to him, she also yearned to touch him. She actually wanted more but her innocent mind had no idea what else she wanted. Her mind was clear of lewd thoughts since Puck never gave her a crash course in a sexual education.
"Lia!" Puck screamed out to his contractor. Luckily she snapped out of whatever you wanted to call what she was in. Subaru wondered if Puck was able to make her snap out of it and not him since he was her spirit. All he knew was that he was thankful to Puck.
As if Emilia regained her reasoning and understood what she was just doing her face turned brighter than the color of Reinhard's hair. "Agh…." She was currently trying to find the words to explain herself except she wasn't able to find any. One could see tears appearing at the edge of her eyes. She turned to Puck with a look, a look that was pleading for help.
Subaru noticed this, using this chance he was able to escape from her embrace before saying "It's alright Emilia-tan, I'm not mad or anything. In fact I'm sort of glad that you feel the way you do. It's just I couldn't help but feel just a tad overwhelmed. I just wasn't expecting it and it came as a huge surprise, ya know?" He hoped this would make her feel better and less embarrassed.
"Hmn" Was all she could muster and say as she nodded. She was looking down as she felt too ashamed to look at either Subaru or Puck. "Come on, let's go and let Subaru get ready" Puck ushered, he was glad that Subaru was trying to make her feel better but he still didn't want Emilia to be near him.
Emilia got up from the bed and Puck went to the door but stopped since he didn't hear Emilia following. "Puck help!" He turned around and saw Emilia holding both of his wrists so he couldn't resist as she was inching her face closer to his. Her lips nearing his own.
"Lia!" Puck stormed his way to his daughter-figure. For most it's just a kiss. However for Emilia she thinks kissing someone is how children are made. Puck knows that Emilia thinks that way. Emilia trying to kiss Subaru was basically her trying to make it so she has Subaru's kid. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you want to look at it) Puck made his way between the two faces with his feet on Subaru's face and his Paws on Emilia's. "Lia! Snap out of it"
Once again Subaru was saved by Puck. 'Something is definitely in the works here. Emilia-tan wouldn't have done this for no reason. Compared to what happened from the loot house all the way to the Sanctuary she never tried to do something this intimate before' Emilia quickly pulled herself away from Subaru, as reluctant as she was. She didn't want to be away from him, however she knows what she did was wrong if both Subaru and Puck were stopping her. Despite it feeling so good.
'Even if it feels good, I shouldn't do something if Subaru doesn't want to' She felt mad at herself. Not being able to bring her face to look at Subaru, fearing if he was looking at her with anger, disgust, or fear she quickly got up and ran out the room.
"Emilia-tan!" Subaru reached his hand out and called for but she was already gone. He looked to Puck "Can you tell her that I'm not mad. I'm just not used to... Such intimacy" Puck looked at him, looking to see if there was anything deceiving about Subaru again but found nothing.
"As much as I want to blame you for corrupting my daughter, you don't seem to have done anything intentionally to her" Subaru was glad that Puck seemed to be on his side but couldn't help hear what he said.
"What do you mean by intentionally?" Subaru raised an eyebrow at this. He did his absolute best redoing the successful loop! He tried to keep everything the same. What could he have possibly done to make Emilia have a drastic change!
"Unfortunately I'm not sure, but Lia didn't start acting weird until we met you. And her sole focus seems to have been on you" It wasn't as if Puck was accusing Subaru or scolding him. It was merely the facts and one that Subaru couldn't deny. "Puck, do you have any idea what it could be? I've never had something like this happen to me before"
"I'm afraid not. I've never seen any type of magic nor divine blessing that does something like this. I'm going to Lia and try to ask why she's like this and hopefully get some clues." Puck not waiting and giving Subaru a chance to say anything, disappeared.
'What should I even do?' Subaru thought as he was changing into his tracksuit. 'Wait a minute. Didn't the first time I woke up I met Beako first? And after that I woke up to Rem and Ram? I haven't met Beako today' Subaru didn't necessarily need to meet her and try to redo what he did before anymore since nothing appeared to be staying the same. However she was very knowledgeable, if he could rely on any for an answer to his predicament it would be her.
He walked towards his door 'But Beako could be really annoying with her Cross Door ability when she's trying to keep me out' he soon realizes that she wouldn't since she hasn't met him yet. He realizes because as soon as he opens his door to look for her he found himself in the Forbidden Library. A room filled with books and a girl with curves in all the right places sitting in the center of it reading one. She had blonde hair in two pigtails and spiraling resembling a drill. She had blue eyes with her pupils looking like a pink butterfly. She wore a pink frilly ornate dress with white trimmings. Also adorning her were pink and purple striped tights on her legs. Everytime he sees her he's reminded of how beautiful she looks. It's hard to tell with the clothes she was wearing but he was certain she had quite the bust. He never told her out of fear of her snapping and killing him however.
"It seems as if an uninvited guest entered here, in fact" Beatrice put the book she was reading on her lap to now stare at Subaru.
"Yo, I'm Natsuki Subaru. A current guest residing in? I'm not sure actually since I just woke up. I opened the door to get out of my room but found myself here instead" As much he wants to rely on Beatrice she won't help unless she wants to. Right now Subaru is but a simple stranger and so there's very little possibility she would want to help. First and foremost he needs to befriend her.
"So you're the boy the girl brought here, I suppose. From what Bubby said you're the reason the girl has changed" It seems as Puck told Beatrice about him. "Who's Bubby" Subaru trying to act his part of being clueless.
"Bubby is the cat like spirit the girl keeps around her, I suppose"
"Oh, you mean Puck. Yeah, Emilia has been very… Physical when she's near me. But I promise I didn't do anything to make her like that!" Subaru needed to make sure no one was thinking he was doing something with Emilia. If he became too much of a suspicious figure Rem would kill him for being a threat.
"A boy as powerless as you isn't capable of doing anything to the girl with Bubby protecting her, I suppose" While he's glad she believes him, she could have worded it in a nicer way!
"Umm, if it's not too much trouble do you suppose I could have your name?"
Subaru wondered if he shouldn't have asked that since she just remained silent while she continued to concentrate her gaze on him. Thankfully she broke the silence "Betty's name is Beatrice, I suppose"
"I see, well it's nice meeting you" Subaru had walked over her to this point and reached his hand out to her offering a hand shake. However Beatrice didn't take his hand but just stared at it and back to Subaru, not saying anything.
"..."
"..."
'Man was this awkward, she was more talkative last time. I should probably just leave now since there's not much I can do for now'
"If I walk out of here would I just end up back in my room?" He pointed to the door he came in but Beatrice ignored him and went back to reading her book. 'She's oddly quiet compared to before' With her not talking to him anymore he decided to just leave the room. He opened the door to find himself out the front doors of the mansion.
When he left the Forbidden Library Beatrice was thinking about Subaru. 'His smell is that of the Jealous Witch, in fact. But for some reason it was reminiscent of Mother's as well, I suppose' She wanted to give him an earful when she met him since he was the reason her Bubby was in a worried state. However she couldn't bring herself to do it. Not to someone that reminded her of Mother.
Back with Subaru, he found himself outside the front of the mansion. Right outside the front doors were steps and at the very bottom of the steps was Emilia sitting down and Puck. The two looked like they were talking about something. Emilia sounded very enthusiastic about it however Puck didn't seem to really like the conversation.
5 Minutes Earlier
"Lia, why were you trying to kiss him, you were even holding him down to not let him go" Puck was trying to figure out what was causing the sudden obsession she had for the boy.
"I don't know, it's just when I'm with him my body feels warm and it just feels so gooood when I'm touching him. It's like when we're together I forget that I'm a half-elf and that everyone out there hates me for it. I feel sooo happy when I don't have to remember about all my problems. It just feels right" Emilia was explaining her actions to Puck. He felt sorry for her, of course he knows about the prejudice she faces for being a half-elf with silver hair.
Even so "I understand why you want to forget about your problems. But you can't just force yourself on Suba-"
"I know!" Emilia cut him off, not wanting him to finish that sentence. She knew what she did wasn't okay. She was genuine when she said that Subaru saved her. She felt awful about what she did, it's as if she lost all reason and something else took over. She wasn't lying that it felt good, but when she was doing it Puck snapped her out of it and remembered what she was doing. How Subaru was trying to make her stop but she didn't. She felt disgusted with herself. The thought of her losing her reason and doing that again.
It scared her.
"I know…" Emilia slumped her shoulders, she was unsure of what she should do. The same thing could go for Puck. At that moment a thought popped up and quickly tried to discard. However it kept coming back despite him not even wanting to think about it. 'But if it's for Lia's sake…' Deciding to just suggest it to Emilia so maybe she wouldn't be so hard on herself and instead maybe more focused on this new goal.
He took a deep breath before saying "If you really enjoy being with him and want to continue doing what you do without it being bad" He stopped speaking, having second thoughts. Can he really tell her this? Her innocence would be gone because of this! Yet he had to tell her anyway, she was now looking at Puck with interest in her eyes from what he just said. Eyes filled with hope of a way to be with Subaru.
"You could always just become a couple with Subaru" Puck looking at Emilia, wanting to see her reaction. At first nothing changed on her expression, she just blinked a few times. And her face lit up, as if she just understood what he said.
"S-S-So if we're a couple, there would be no problem then right?!" Emilia said excitedly of the thought of being with Subaru and it not being wrong.
"But Lia, when people are in a relationship not everyone is… Touchy in the start. Lots of people usually wait for a long time in their relationship for it to start. It all depends if Subaru is okay with being touchy, okay?" Puck was able to tell that Subaru didn't have evil intentions, but that doesn't mean he's automatically okay with him fooling around with Emilia. Unfortunately this is what Emilia wants so he'll have to bite the bullet and allow it.
Emilia once again began to feel unsure of this however "But Subaru doesn't want to, he was trying to make me stop and I didn't listen. I'm sure he doesn't even want to look at me anymore." Emilia sat back down, hugging her knees. She feels like crying, thinking she ruined her chance with the black haired boy.
"Actually after you ran out the room, me and him talked a little. He told me to let you know he's not mad at you" Emilia reached her hands to Puck and pulled him to her face. "Did he actually say that!"
"Yeah, I promise" Emilia was so happy but hesitant to believe it. She knows Puck would never lie to her, especially since he promised. But how could Subaru not be mad at her?
"B-But I didn't stop when he asked me to! He didn't want me to-"
"Lia, he was just surprised. He said he wasn't used to someone doing something like that to him. You surprised him is all" A rush of relief consumed Emilia, she didn't mess up to the point where Subaru wouldn't want to see her.
"So what should I do next?! I've never been in a relationship before, what do I do to start it?" Emilia didn't have any experience with this kind of stuff so she had no choice but to rely on Puck for this.
"Well if the two people like each other, one asks the other out and kind of goes on from there" While Emilia was relying on Puck, dating wasn't actually a huge strong point of his. He was honestly just using common sense and hoped it worked.
"Can you talk to Subaru and see how he thinks of me? And if he might be interested in being touchy with me?!" Puck had a baffled look on his face. He loved Emilia like she was his own daughter. He knows he said he'll help her with this but to straight up ask Subaru if he was okay with doing lewd things to her was something he was unsure he could do!
However this lovely conversation was cut short as Subaru walked down to them "Hey Emilia-tan, hi Puck" Emilia absolutely adored when he says her name, even more so with the tan she just learned about earlier. However before anyone could do anything Emilia rushed up on her two feet and faced Subaru.
"I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have done what I did earlier and I should've stopped when he said to. I don't know what came over me" Emilia bowed when she apologized, even though Puck said Subaru wasn't mad she still wanted to apologize.
"It's okay Emilia-tan, you startled me since I wasn't expecting that is all" He was rubbing the back of his head. Then muttered under his breath "It's not like I hated it" speaking to no one in particular. However the half elf girl's ear twitched, catching the words he softly spoke.
"So you forgive me?" She stopped bowing to look back up to Subaru with a hopeful expression.
"Of course, no harm no foul" He smiled at her, assuring her that he bore no grudge.
"Thank you, Subaru! I was so worried you wouldn't want to talk to me anymore. Especially since I almost kissed you and have your baby" She smiled at him innocently, however as soon as she said this Subaru froze completely still.
"..."
"..."
"What?" Subaru didn't know what else to say, he surely must've misheard what she said.
"Don't you know? Two people kissing is how babies are made" Subaru snapped his neck to the direction to where Puck was at. And conveniently enough Puck disappeared back into his crystal, running away from his duty of a parent!
'Puck! WTF!' Subaru couldn't believe that Puck never taught Emilia such an important thing!
"Umm, Emilia-tan. There's no real other way to say this, but kissing doesn't make babies" Subaru said to her with a bit of a blush on his face, her thinking this reminded him just how pure Emilia was.
"Eh?! B-But Puck told me that's where they came from when I was little!" Emilia couldn't understand why Puck would tell her that. He lied! A frown could be seen on her face, one Subaru noticed.
"Now, now Emilia-tan. I'm sure there's a good reason why he said that. How babies are made is a thing adults know about. It's hard to explain why but it's not something children should know so that's probably why." Subaru was trying to defend Puck, while he was mad at him for bailing. He didn't think it'd be any good for Emilia and Puck to not get along.
Emilia didn't understand why the process of how babies are made should be kept a secret from kids. However, ever since she asked when she was little the subject was never brought up again so there was probably no reason for Puck to explain it to her.
"Geez, Puck is such a dunderhead. He should have told me now since I'm all grown up now" She placed her hands on her hip, puffing out her chest in the process without realizing. Giving Subaru a nice view of her curves.
"No one says that now in days" He chuckled while averting his eyes from her breast.
"So you said I just surprised you is all. And that you didn't hate it right" She said while walking closer to him. 'She heard that?!' Subaru could've sworn he mumbled that, but he thought that she probably had enhanced hearing being half elf. Emilia brought her hands up and draped them over his shoulders. Subaru couldn't help but let out an audible gulp. However she wasn't holding him with such strength where he couldn't pull away from.
"Puck said it's okay if you want it. That I shouldn't force stuff like this" Emilia was saying this, inching her face closer to his. "So you like it, that means it's fine right?"
Was this okay? Subaru knows that something is making Emilia act like this. Doing stuff with Emilia in her state should be wrong, right? If he gave in and did things with her, and later down the line fixed whatever was going on with her. Would she regret what she's done with him? Would she hate him for taking advantage of the situation?
"Emilia-tan, don't you think were going too fast-"
"I want to kiss you" Emilia didn't hear a no. He wasn't telling her to stop. He wasn't trying to pull away. That should mean it's okay, right?
This is wrong, he shouldn't do this. He wanted to think that, but her declaration of what she wanted to do. Her inching her face closer and closer to his. Seeing her mesmerizing eyes, her gorgeous face so up close. Reminded how beautiful she truly was, and she wanted to kiss him. How could he resist? And so he wrapped his arms around her waist to pull her closer.
Emilia was happy that he wanted this as well. Both their lips inching closer to each other. However before their lips met the front doors to the mansion opened. A maid with pink hair walked out.
"Emilia-sama, Subaru-sama. Breakfast is ready, please head to the dining hall. Roswaal wishes to speak to both of you" When Ram said this she heard an 'Eep!' from Emilia and her move away from Subaru with a blush on her face.
One quiet awkward walk later the three have just entered the dining room. Roswaal was at the end of the table with Rem on his left side. Beatrice was on the right side of the table, but got up when she was Emilia and went to her.
"Is Bubby able to come out, I suppose?" Emilia looked at Beatrice and smiled, she called out for Puck and lo and behold he materialized his physical body.
"Hi Betty" Puck spread his arms as Beatrice quickly got hold of him and started twirling around happily "Bubby!" She returned to her seat with Puck in her hands.
Emilia went to her seat and Subaru followed suit and sat next to her. Ram went to the right side of Roswaal, opposite from Rem.
"So your Subaru. I've heard what you've done from my staff. It comes to my understanding that you helped a great deal with Emilia-sama's predicament. Now ask for a reward and I'll do what's within my power to grant it." He said this with a smile as if he was actually grateful to him. Subaru hated Roswaal and he knew he was up to no good. However he couldn't become his enemy just yet. He needed to act friendly and not raise suspicion.
"Hmp, a reward you say? If that's the case then I know exactly what to ask for. Since I'm new to this kingdom and am flat out broke I wish for you to hire me to work here!" Subaru exclaimed with great confidence. Sure he could've done things differently but he still thinks this is the best way to earn Rem's trust by working alongside her.
