Chapter 113: Scattered Petals
Suddenly Bloom found herself back beside Kaiba him still within his mind haunted by voices and images of the past before the faerie called out to him from beyond the darkness. "Seto."Bloom's voice broke the silence between them as the blue eyed male turned towards her without a word. "Seto, are you listening?" Bloom asked him before he only nodded. "While we both were sitting here my sister Daphne reached out to me." the faerie began. "...And? What did she want...?" Kaiba asked as he finally spoke."Believe it or not." Bloom began. "She wanted to talk about Bright." she told the CEO much to his surprise.
"...Bright?" Kaiba questioned before Bloom nodded. "That's right...when she called me to talk she was looking at a bubble and inside of it was Bright with Xuri...she seemed really sad and worried about him for some reason...she even confessed to me that she was afraid that this heart break could lead to a deep and unyielding hatred inside of him..." she told him. "...Not surprising considering what those bastards did to him...killing Xuri in front of him... forcing him to live his greatest fear...i'd show them no mercy..." Kaiba muttered darkly. He already harbored a unrelenting grudge against Lord Mallock. "Yes...but all is not lost...there still may be a way to save Xuri." Bloom murmurs.
"Surely you're joking...when a life is lost there is no way to start over...this isn't a game...even Monster Reborn only lets you resurrect a monster for one turn..." Kaiba muttered bitterly. "You're wrong Seto...there is life Beyond death...I've seen it with my own two eyes...besides that, both Atem and my sister Daphne are long gone from this world..and yet still they continue to exist...so I HAVE to believe that miracles can happen...I know you're afraid to put your faith in anything...but you NEED to trust me..." Bloom continued on.
"There is a Gem Of Destiny...hidden inside The Secret Ancient Draconian Library on The World Of Dragon's, Draconia and inside of that gem is Daphne's remaining power that she had when she was alive as The Phoenix before me...and with that flame we can breathe life back into Xuri...but to enter the library we must acquire Eight different flames each one acting as a key to the door of the archive. We're going to need EVERYONE's strangthe and courage because we are ALL going to be tested...it won't be easy..." Bloom told Kaiba. "...Draconia huh?" he muttered. "...You need to go there...to learn about your past any ways right?" she asked him almost choking out the words as she said it outloud.
"...Yeah..." Kaiba answered simply. "But nothing seems to have gone according to plan...not recently anyways...instead here I am finding myself back in Covenant once again...however...this could be another chance to find a link to my past...and that Archive could have exactly the answers i'm looking for...though i'd bite my own tongue before i'd even suggest that this is fate...speaking of Dragons...I believe it's time that I returned this to you...i've kept it for long enough." the CEO murmured before he removes Bloom's faerie dust necklace from around his neck and holds it out to her. But bloom only shook her head.
"No, I want you to keep it Seto. Besides you already gave me this beautiful ring...that's all I really need." she murmured softly as she lifted up her hand with the cherry blossom ring hugging her finger. Slowly a frown manifested upon Kaiba's face. "...But isn't this important to you?" he asked in return. "Yes it is...it was during my own journey to find and rescue my parents, people and my planet Sparks that I visited a placed called Pyros and a woman named Miya gave it to me...so that the essence of Pyros would ALWAYS be with her. I've told you before remember?" "...Vaguely..." Kaiba admitted sheepishly as a hint of blush crept up on his face. But Bloom only smiled.
"I also told you told that wearing it will help you own you very own quest of self discovery...and with you having that around your neck...it feels like we'll always be together...no matter where or how far apart we are..." Bloom murmured softly as she placed the pendant back around his neck. And yet something was bothering him. In her eyes was the exact same look Raeger gave him right before he left for Zaloz. Bloom knew this was no mistake that they were going to Draconia. Both of their journey's began with a dragon after all.
"...Bloom...what's wrong? I can tell that something is bothering you..." Kaiba pointed out. But, Bloom attempted to dodge the question."Wrong? What do you mean? Nothing's wrong." Bloom played innocent before Kaiba only shot her a look. "You are a TERRIBLE liar..." Kaiba deadpanned as he looked directly at her before the tears the faerie had been trying so hard to suppress were beginning to make their way to the surface as the CEO's eyes widened. "...Is this about the discussion we had before about my choice to try and learn about my origins..." Kaiba questioned. "...Am I that easy to read?" Bloom asked in return. "Do I need to repeat what I told you before?...Am I really THAT hard to believe in?" the blue eyed male asked with a slight hurt that lingered in his eyes before Bloom got really quiet.
"...Before you left for Zaloz...I accidentally overheard your conversation with Raeger...when you told him that you wanted to learn about your past...and who it is you really were...I tried...I really tried to convince myself that I was ok with it...like I told you before...since I once wanted the same things...it's been on my mind...especially since I saw Raeger himself seemed REALLY scared...about what it is you were trying to do...when we talked...I held back a lot...because I didn't want to burden you with my true feelings and fears...but i'm STILL scared Seto...Raeger couldn't even tell YOU why he was so afraid..." Bloom confessed to Kaiba as tears fell down her face.
"Learning who I was...it didn't change me...but what if it does you? Raeger specifically told you to never forget who you were...even the Wizards Of The Black Circle and Bakura seemed to know a side of you I didn't...I understand you want answers...I do...but what if doing so causes you to leave everyone behind including me...all of our memories...everything we've been through...will all be forgotten...as you're pulled further and further into darkness..." Bloom sobbed before Kaiba pulled the faerie into his arms. "You're MY light Bloom..." the CEO murmured to her softly.
"When the Wizard Of The Black Circle attacked the two of us and this strange power was unleashed inside of me...it was YOUR voice that led me out of the darkness...i've been in the dark far too long Bloom...I always believed that looking back into the past was a waste of time...but now...now I believe it's the only way to protect our future...true...I don't know what it is that i'll find...however I can't continue the way I am now...you know better than anyone how it feels not to have the power to fight when you need it most...there is a power sleeping inside of me that has yet to awaken...two actually...but one of them I desire is the same power that I used to save you from that snake Chris Goldenwat-"
Kaiba paused as he felt pain shoot through his body causing him to trembling. "Damn it...not now..." the blue eyed male cursed before Bloom gasped worriedly. "Oh no Seto! Is it that pain again!? Hold on i'll use my power to heal you!" the faerie cried out before she summoned a rainbow droplet of flame and slowly infused it into Kaiba's chest. Slowly he could feel the pain begin to dissipate. "...Thanks...the pain...is starting to subside..." he murmured before Bloom let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness..." the faerie admits before Kaiba turned to look at Bloom."Bloom...there is something I need to tell you...I couldn't say it before...but I feel like it would be wrong to keep it from you since you shared all of your worries and fears with me..." the blue eyed male tells her before she looked at him in his eyes.
"Ok..." Bloom murmured softly before she quietly listened to him as Kaiba opened his mouth to speak. "...As you know...this power inside me Bloom is beyond my control...apparently my powers were originally sealed...that is until I unleashed it when we were back on Earth at Kaiba Corp and they attacked Mokuba...and because of the seal being broken it is having a negative impact on my body...in the state I am right now...it's equivalent to a ticking time bomb...if I don't do something...then i'll likely die...that is one of the reasons...I can't place this quest of mine on hold...there is a tablet out there...that can keep that power in check...but I could take a long time before I am able to find it..." he told Boom not wanting to hide the truth from her anymore.
"B-But there MUST be SOMETHING we can do before then! Something! Anything!" Bloom cried out before Kaiba twisted his mouth. "...No, but there is something someone else can do for me...apparently...Cellos...that ghoul servant of Undine's is connected to The Blue Eyes White Dragon...and he has the ability to store my excess power inside of him...but in order to do so...I have to form a pact with him...which means i'll be relying on him for survival until I can find that tablet...and to be quite honest...i'm reluctant to accept Cellos's proposal..."Kaiba admitted before Bloom swallowed hard in response. "...Bloom...tell me...and be honest with me...what is it you think I should do?" he asks the faerie.
"...Unfortunately Seto, I can't tell you that...something like this...you have to look inside yourself and ask your heart for the answer..." Bloom murmured softly as she placed her right hand on his chest gently. Kaiba only cracked a smile. "...That would be your answer...that's very Yugique...I wonder if he rubbed off on you." the CEO chuckled softly before he took out his duel monsters deck from his pocket and pulled out three cards before placing the rest back in the case tied to his belt. Afterwards, he held them out to bloom as her eyes widened before he turned them over to reveal all three of them were Blue Eyes White Dragons.
"My Blue Eyes...I want you to keep them Bloom..." Kaiba told her as the faerie only looked at him in disbelief. "...Me? What for Seto?" Bloom questioned taken back by the sudden gift. Kaiba's Blue Eyes White Dragon's were his most important possessions in the world to him from what Yugi and Joey told her. Why would he give them to her? "It only took one of these to bring us together...so these...are for you...one for our past...one for our present...and one for our future...so make sure you don't lose them...ok? I'm not going anywhere without you..or these...so keep them close...and no matter what happens...i'll always find my way back to you...does that give you enough reassurance?" Kaiba asked Bloom before she held them close to her chest tearing up at his promise.
"Thank you Kaiba...you have no idea how much this means to me...I promise you that i'll treasure them...every single one..." Bloom promises him before she uses her magic to place them in safe keeping. "...And Bloom..." "...Yes Seto...?" "After this mission is over...I want us to be together...as husband and wife...because this is the end of the begining...and I want to start it with you..." Kaiba told her as his face nearly lit up three different shades of red. "...Is that ok...?" the blue eyes male asked the faerie. Bloom only smiles more as tears fall down her face.
"...Yes...in fact it's more than ok..." she told him before she threw herself into his arms knocking Kaiba over in the process as a chuckle slipped out of him before they both shared a kiss between them. "I love you Bloom..." Kaiba told her. "And I love you too Seto..." Bloom murmured. "But right now I have to go and mend another heart that has yet to heal from a wound placed upon it...and you have something to do too don't you?" the faerie mused before Kaiba and Bloom slowly eased themselves up to their feet. "Yeah...something I should've done from the beginning..." the blue eyed male admitted and made his way to the door. Kaiba stopped for a moment as he grabbed the door knob.
"Just do one more thing for me..." the CEO began. "Sure what is it?" "...Make sure to let Bright know...he doesn't have to face this alone..." Kaiba murmured before he left through the door leaving it cracked. Bloom only smiled as she watched his back until he dissapeared. "You've grown so much Seto...and you yourself don't seem to realize it...i'll make sure to let Bright know...that he's not alone...you're standing right there with him..." Bloom whispered to herself before she left the room and made her way over to the one Bright had been hauled up in since he came back to Covenant. Surprisingly Cupid was right there next to it.
"Oh Cupid. This is a surprise. Did you come up here to check up on Bright too?" Bloom questioned the red head. "Yeah..." Cupid admits softly. "Flora-Chan told me she saw him upstairs still crying...so I decided to see if there was something I could do for him...but...I don't think anything I or anyone else can quell his broken heart...I can feel it...the unbearable pain Bright's in right now...along with everyone whose heart has been impacted by this unfortunate tragedy...but even I don't have the power to remedy it...although...I wish so badly that I did..." he confessed to Bloom as she frowned in response.
"I think we all feel that way sometimes...but you helped me when my own heart was broken from my worries and fears about the future...I never got the chance to thank you properly for what you did for me...because of your words you gave me the courage and the strangthe to be able to talk to Kaiba about all of those things...and now there are no more misunderstandings...so thank you Cupid...and let's not forget about Flora. When things didn't work out with Joey both of your hearts made a connection with each other and together you beat Bakura with that combined power you shared. Sometimes love is a person's greatest weapon beyond that of the battlefield...Bright and Xuri's affections aren't any different...and it's those feelings that are going to get us through our toughest fight yet." Bloom told Cupid as his eyes widened in surprise.
"I'll go check on Bright. You should go downstairs and be with Flora. Right now more than ever she needs you to lean on Cupid...and your own situation...isn't hopeless either...I promise you...everything is going to be ok." the faerie murmured before she shot him a wink. "Gotcha." Cupid grinned in return before he made his way back downstairs. Once Cupid was out of sight Bloom gently knocked on Bright's door. Inside Bright raised his head with his face stained with tears. "Bright it's me Bloom...can I come in?" the redhead asked before the prince sniffed.
"Mhm..." was all he could manage barely before the faerie entered the darkened room with Bright on his knees next to his bed with Xuri's lifeless body laid on it. It was hard for Bloom to see herself. Especially after what happened in Dawnshire. Just looking at Bright's face broke her heart. Slowly Bloom made her way over to Bright and got down to his level before she pulled him into a hug. It didn't seem as if anyone had been up to check him since he returned from Emerald. Not even to give him such a simple thing. The prince clung to her as he choked on his tears that refused to cease.
"This...This is all my fault..." Bright sobbed. "If I had just stayed away from Xuri like everyone else wanted...none of this would have ever happened..." the prince wept. Bloom only frowned as she held him. "But...neither you nor Xuri wanted that...Raeger told me and Roxy what happened...that even as he died...Xuri wanted to be close to you...to hear your heart...because he loved you...and even though it was painful...you held him in your arms...that's probably all Xuri ever wanted..." Bloom murmured softly as Bright looked up at her as tears trickled down his face before he turned towards the bed. Slowly the princes collected the shattered blood crystal with the cherry blossom petals scattered on the bed in his hands and held them in front of him.
"This was the only momento I had...and now...I don't even have that...I...I wanted to at least kiss him goodbye...but even that was stolen from me...so tell me...just what am I supposed to do now?..." Bright asked Bloom through his tears as his hands trembled. Gently Bloom placed her hands over the shattered crystal pieces and petals. "When something terrible happens...it can shatter your whole world in an instant...and many times...you may think that you'll never be able to recover...but there will ALWAYS be someone to pick up the pieces...of your hearts scattered petals..." the faerie murmured before Bright watched as she used her magic to gradually place the blood crystal shards and the cherry blossom petals to restore Bright's precious object to how it was before. It only took a moment for the prince to finally crack a smile as he looked down at it.
"...T...Thank you...this crystal...is very precious to me...Xuri gave it to me when we were just kids...and i've held onto it ever since...it shattered right after I lost him...I lose hope of ever repairing it..." Bright told Bloom as he sniffed. "What if I told you...that you could have something else VERY precious to you as well...?" she asked him. The prince paused staring at Bloom in disbelief before she held out to her hand to him. Bright's tear filled eyes widened as the moonlight reflected off of the faerie. At that moment to him Bloom looked like an angel with wings. Before the prince reached up to grab her hand she grabbed his instead. "Come on let's go downstairs. I have a pretty big announcement to make!" the faerie told Bright and pulled him out of the shadows of the darkness and into the light.
Just around the corner Yugi slowly emerged from his room. His growling stomach couldn't keep bothering him as the smells from downstairs kept teasing and taunting his nose. He was trying desperately to pull himself together. The last thing Yugi wanted was to worry Joey and the others. But just as he was about to make his way down the stairs both Bloom and Bright zipped right by him. "SORRY! COMING THROUGH!"Bloom cried before she accidentally snagged her foot onto one of the wrapped piece of tinsel and both her and Bright tumbled down the stairs. Yugi only made a face as he watched until they both landed out the bottom.
Quickly Yugi hurried down the stairs after them before both Raeger and Roxy hurried out of the kitchen. "IS EVERYONE OK!?" the Guild Master questioned as he made his way over to the two finding Bloom sitting on Bright. "Yikes! You're almost becoming just as accident prone as Cupid and Joey!" Roxy exclaimed. "Thanks Roxy..." Bloom deadpanned. "HEY!" Joey cried out as he stormed over with Amourette trailing behind him. "AND JUST WHAT IT DAT SUPPOSED TA MEAN!?" the blood fumed before the blunette squeaked as she covered her mouth seeing both Bloom and Bright and helped both of them up. "Is everything ok I heard a loud noise?" Flora asked as she pops her head out of the kitchen and makes her way over to them placing the tray down in her hand. It's then her eye catches the sight of the prince.
"Bright! I'm so glad to see you! And you too Amourette! In fact we just finished making dinner and I need help setting up the table! I think you two should be enough! Come on we have a lot of dishes to set down!" Flora exclaimed as she grabbed both Bright and Amourette and pulled them with her to the kitchen not leaving any room for arguing. Joey only sweatdropped along with Yugi. "Man...dat Flora can sure be aggressive can't she...?" the blonde laughed nervously. "You should see her when she's angry." Bloom told Joey in response. "Haha no tanks!" he exclaimed before the faerie giggled. "Well I think i'm going to and see if they need any help in the kitchen." "Sure ting." the blonde murmured before Bloom made her way into the kitchen. Afterwards Joey turned his attention to Yugi.
"So...long time no see Yug..." Joey began rather awkwardly. "Y...yeah...long time no see Joey..." Yugi offered a weakened smile to his best friend. "...Um...about that...like we planned...I tried to go to BriarBlood to find a way to get to Requiem...but...I sort of ended up in a different place entirely... then one thing led to another...so it took awhile for me to come back here...if only i'd tried harder to get to BriarBlood..." Yugi paused in between words. {Yugi...} Atem murmured softly.
"Hey! What matters is dat you're back here safe and sound with us! Now come on! I'm starvin and dare's some tasty grub watin for us!" Joey exclaimed and pushed his best friend towards the dining room only to find that they had one heck of a big problem. Everyone was practically trying to squeeze themselves through to get to a chair to sit in. It was almost like a game of twister combined with musical chairs. "Ugh! I think it's HIGH time...we rethink our dining strategy..." Carlos speaks up as he's playing limbo with Layla's arms stretched out to his neck and his back against the wall with Marik trapping him on the other side. "No kidding...we're not even playing limbo and most of us are bending over backwards..." the darkly skinned faerie observed.
"Or close to it..." Marik muttered as Cupid found himself trapped in between Stella and Flora with a tray with bowls full of potato soup trying to balance it before the pepper from the soup got into his nose. Nearly everyone in the dining room held their breath as if they were counting down to their imminent demise. "Oh this isn't good..." Stella squeaks especially given the soup was positioned right over her head. She could already hear herself chanting stainus removus. "Ah...Ah..." the red head wrinkled his nose. "According to my calculations at this rate there is a 95% chance that within the next 5 minutes it is highly likely Cupid will sneeze." Techna mused next to Musa. "Techna you're hardly helping with the situation here!" the faerie of music cried out in protest.
"TOTALLY! LIKE THOSE ARE NUMBERS I REALLY DON'T NEED TO HEAR!" Stella echoes. "Uh guys! I don't think yelling at each other is going to hel-" Roxy began before she paused seeing Loore hop from her shoulder and up to Cupid's unable to resist the sweet smell of milk mixed in with the potatoes. "Don't mind if I do!" the familiar exclaimed unintentional rubbing Cupid's nose with her tail. "Oh I can't watch..." Raeger groaned as the deity of love couldn't hold it in anymore. "Uh! Yug I think we should go da other way..." Joey told the scarlet eyed male as he made a face. "...Yep we're screwed...thank kitty cat..." Duke muttered. "...ACHOO!" Cupid cried as everyone let out a scream.
"STARSEEDS!" Flora cried out quickly as she used seeds that looked like stars and threw them on the table near Cupid catching the falling bowls and silverware mid fall along with one vine wrapping around Cupid to keep him upright as well. "WOO WAY TO GO FLORA!" Bloom cheered along with everyone else before Amourette let out a sigh of relief. "Now...maybe we should just go eat in the living room...before something else happens..." the blunette suggests before Pit only looked at her horrified. "NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! OUT OF THE QUESTION!" the brunette cried nearly hyperventilating at the mention of Amorette's suggestion.
"There are ALREADY cookie crumbs EVERYWHERE already!" Pit exclaimed. "If you take the soup in there it could spill and stain the furniture! And the the crumbs from the cheese and french bread to go with it! OH THE HORROR!" the brunette cried out as grabbed a broom and dustpan after placing on cleaning gloves just as a precaution. Of course everyone outright ignored him as most of the party made their way to the living room grabbing their own bowls afterwards. Christy only laughed nervously before she turned to him "Pit-kun you're being too dramatic..." the heiress scolded. "Says the voice of reason..." Yuki echoed as he snuck up to one of the pumpkin pies inching his finger towards it. Only to get swatted at by Christy.
"Yuki-kun! It's rude to dip your finger in the pie even if it's just for a taste! Especially, if you haven't had dinner yet!" the heiress shakes her own finger at the black haired male. "YOU WERE GOING TO DIP YOUR FINGER IN THE PIE!? DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY GERMS ARE ON YOUR HANDS ALONE!?" Pit cried out as he looked at Yuki mortified before Christy grabbed both of the boys and drug them into the livingroom. "Oh that's an easy one! Approximately 2 to 10 million from your fingertips to your elbo-" Techna found herself cut off as Duke clamped his hand over the faerie's mouth. "How about we just shut up and eat hmm?" the dice master questioned as he twitched his eye in immense irritation."Not the way I would have put it but yes...let's" Raeger sweatdropped before Roxy giggled as she cuddled up to him causing the Guild Master's face to redden slightly. Loore hoping in her lap to join in.
"I'm so glad you all are comfy and cozy but INCASE YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED I'M NOT! SO CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GET ME DOWN FROM HERE!" Cupid cried before Flora used her magic to slowly unravel him from the plant and into her arms. "Don't worry I got you." the faerie assured him before she set him down onto the ground. "Now come on let's go join the others..." Flora murmured before she warmly took Cupids hand in her and walked with him to the end of the couch near the Christmas tree. Bloom only smiled seeing them and shot Cupid a wink as his whole face nearly turned red."Just incase ,we better be extra careful...not to make a mess or Pit just might pour bleach on us and light the whole cabin on fire." Roxy joked.
"Goodness Roxy don't even joke about that!" Raeger cried out. "One time Noah nearly blew up the roof when she couldn't get a second helping of gumbo that I made..." the Guild Master told her. He was relieved however that things seemed to be of a much lighter atmosphere than earlier. Although looking around he didn't see Kaiba anywhere. "You're right my bad teehee." the faerie apologized as she gave Raeger a playful hug. "So why in the world is Pit so crazy?" Layla questioned unable to seem to help herself. Yuki only scratched as his cheek. "...Yes about that...Pit has...what you would call... a bit of a germ problem..." the black haired male replied.
"A bit? I think that's putting it mildly. That's like saying to Stella that a fashion crisis isn't the end of the world." Musa remarked in return before Stella puffed up her cheeks. "Musa you are SO not funny!" the faerie snapped disapprovingly as Yuki picked up a piece of the french bread and took a bite of it. "You know...Stella...Christy also has a business in making her own clothes...you know incase you might want to...bounce ideas *munch* off *sip* each other..." Yuki told her in between eating. "Actually that sounds like it could be actually kinda fun! I just might give it a try. Who knows it could inspire some new creations!" Stella giggled in response.
"Uh oh buckle up girls." Bloom response before Stella turns to her. "What's that supposed to mean?" the blonde asks the read head. "Relax Stella i'm just kidding." Bloom quickly defended herself. "Sure you were." Stella raised her brow at her best friend. Bright silently watched the two as he sat by himself Yugi's eyes not able to help but to be drawn to him. He must've been thinking about Xuri again. "Enough talking! I'm starving! Let's dig in!" Joey exclaimed before he picked his spoon. Although he had the oddest feeling that something was missing. And he wasn't the only one as Amourette had the exact same feeling. "...Wait a minute...where is Aster-San...?" the blunette questioned before the party was nearly frozen solid in an instant as the front door opened.
Slowly The Professor, Seilina and Froste all entered the cabin closing it behind them. "That's enough training for today. We'll continue tomorrow." Takuna told Seilina. "Sounds good to me and that soup look delicious. My compliments to the chef." the faerie wasted no time getting herself a bowl. "Cuz i'm gonna enjoy EVERY bite!" Seilina exclaimed and helped herself to an empty spot on one of the chairs as Akiba came out to meet them with a coffee for The Professor wearing an pink apron with frills. "I'm delighted it's to your liking Seilina-Chan." he told Seilina. "Here you go Taku-kun. Fresh out of the coffee pot brewed with love!" Akiba beamed before Takuna carefully took it from him.
"Thank you...Akiba." The Professor offered his thanks before he blew on it taking a sip. After a moment he paused. He swore he heard something just now through the various slurping that was going on. "Uh...do you hear something?" Froste questioned as he got ready to grab himself a bowl before Loore tilted her head before she jumped up on the tree curious. But the moment she lifted a paw suddenly the tree moved causing not only Loore but Cupid to jump being right beside it. Loore herself went flying and landed on top of Yugi's head her fur sticking straight up letting out a hiss."D-Did that tree just move!?" Cupid questioned as he grabbed a hold of Flora as he eyed the tree. "I don't think so...but i'd better take a look just to be safe..." the faerie murmured before she eased herself up off the couch and made her way over to the tree.
"Be careful. There might be an animal hiding in there." Layla warned Flora as the faerie peered inside of the tree before she let out a gasp only to find that Aster was tied to the tree on the other side where no one could see him by Christmas lights them also over his mouth. "Oh no Aster!" Flora cried out before she used her powers to untangle the blonde which caused him to fall out of the tree much to everyone's surprise. Slowly Aster stood up as he looked up them with a fuse ready to blow at any given minute. "DID YOU ALL SERIOUSLY NOT KNOW THAT I WAS IN THERE!?" he yelled at them.
"...Uh...would... no... be an acceptable answer?" Joey asked through a crack in his voice as he tried to suppress his laughter but it was no use for him or anyone else as everyone in the room just burst out laughing all at once. "Aster, however did you end up tied up to the tree like that?" Raeger questioned as he pulled at his shirt collar. "I have NO idea...I was helping to decorate the tree and the next thing I knew I was attacked by the damn Christmas lights! They wrapped around me and tied me to the tree!" Aster fumed. "Gee I wonder how THAT happened...Stella weren't you supposed to be putting the light on the tree...you know...if i'm not mistaken?" Roxy muttered as all eyes shifted over towards the blonde faerie. She tried to avoid their gaze but it was no use.
"OH ALRIGHT FINE!" Stella finally cried out as she threw her spoon down in the soup. "I wanted to have Akiba paint my nails like he did Flora's the other day so while he did that I might of used a tiny bit of magic to help put up the light so I wouldn't have to get them redone!" the faerie confessed before everyone paused and broke out into uncontrollable laughter. "HEY! IT'S NOT FUNNY! STOP LAUGHING!"Stella cried before Bloom placed her arm around the faerie and pulled her in close so she could whisper in her ear.
"Stella you're a genius...just look over there..." Bloom whispered to Stella before she directed her attention over to Bright seeing him laughing a little. "And not only Bright everyone needed a good laugh today...so it's alright in this case right?" the red head winked before the faerie smiled in return seeing Bright. "I guess i'll decide to take that as a compliment then." Stella winked to Bloom in return. "That's our Stella alright." Musa added in with a giggle. "Yep!" Techna agreed. Nearby Cellos peered into the living room from the kitchen as he pursed his lips. "Well, it certainly seems much less gloomy than it did about an hour age, as expected of a faerie whoms powers reflect both the Moon and The Sun." the ghoul mused as Kaiba stood on the opposite side of him with his back pressed up against the wall. Slowly Cellos turned towards the blue eyed male.
"But, placing that aside for the moment, just what is it you wished to discuss Mr. Kaiba?" the ghoul questioned Kaiba whom only scowled in response. "Cut the act ghoul...you already know that there's only one reason I would i'd be talking to you at all in the first place..." the blue eyed male snapped causing Cellos to pout. "Has anyone ever told you that you seem to really have a certain knack for taking the fun out of things..." the ghoul asked. "Well excuse me..." Kaiba huffed before Cellos offered a smile.
"Aw, don't be mad I was merely just teasing you! My mistress warned me that if I pushed you too much like the first first time you just might outright refuse the pact all together!" the ghoul began. "So I decided to take a step back and let you Mr. Kaiba be the one to make...how you say your final decision...although from the look on your face...i'd say that you're indeed ready...can I assume that my assumption is correct Mr. Kaiba?" Cellos asked him simply. "Not so fast..." Kaiba began. "First I want you to tell me EVERYTHING that making the pact involves...that includes the good, the bad, and the ugly...ALL of it...I don't want you to leave anything out Cellos..." the CEO snapped. "Then and only then will I give you my answer..." Kaiba told the ghoul.
"Fair enough...firstly...Mr. Kaiba...you need not worry about having to obey my mistress Undine..." Cellos began. "This is strictly a contract between you and I...in other words she will not be involved in this arrangement. Secondly, as a requirement of the pact, similarly like Miss Bloom's tattoo you shall also have to have one as well, it shall serve as proof of the connection between the two of us and allow one such as I to store your excess power within myself. In return, you Mr. Kaiba won't experience the side effects that your body has been enduring up until now...as if you recall I promised you once before..." the ghoul continued as Kaiba continued to listen.
"Go on..." the CEO muttered. "Very well..." Cellos cleared his throat before he began speaking again. "As I briefly mentioned some time ago, if you so desire, I can bequeath to you Mr. Kaiba a portion of my former powers as a Blue Eyes White Dragon along with those which my mistress bestowed upon me...the powers of manipulation of astral plane not to mention the ability of being able to conjure and use gemstone...both can be a powerful tool and should not be underestimated...as demonstrated by Yuki if you recall..." the ghoul reminded Kaiba before the CEO flashed back to their fight where Yuki had made kunai out of crystal.
"However there is something that you should know, because it is my power you will essentially be using there may be times where you may not be able to rely on it completely. This is because of the possibility of something either happening to me or that I am also using my own power therefore weakening yours...but that is a technicality at most. With Yuki's aura sphere he finished for you the other day you still should be able to have a source of power of your own. But even learning how to summon and control it will take time. Which bring me to the last but not least topic at hand" Cellos murmured before he narrowed his eyes.
"As I explained once before, if my life were to be lost then naturally yours would be as well...under normal circumstances anyways. Lucky for you...I happen to be already dead...so you need not worry about that!" the ghoul exclaimed before a smile to break the tension. Kaiba only scowled at him in response before Cellos paused as he looked at the blue eyed male. "...Don't something like that so easily...not when someone among us has already succumbed to that same fate..." Kaiba muttered angrily. The ghoul only cleared his throat.
"Ah...yes I do believe you perhaps have a point there...ANYWAYS! moving right on along! There is one negative aspect to forming this agreement...and that would be the impact on the body itself...of course needless to say that it's not anywhere as serious to your current symptoms...but, there is a risk that you Mr. Kaiba will experience a high fever with some minor pain due to my aura entering your... how you say?...system..." Cellos explained. "Luckily it should only last a day or so no worries! And that is the end of my long winded explanation!" the ghoul told Kaiba."So...what'll it be...Mr. Kaiba?" Cellos questioned as the CEO paused to look at the ghoul before taking a deep breath and releasing it.
Up until this point he's almost always stood back while watching the others fight. Bloom most of all. But this time he wanted to fight beside and protect her along with the several other people that were important to him. Rather than just being considered a burden or a liability. It took all of Kaiba's will power to place aside every shred of pride he had left before he finally opened his mouth to speak. "...Very well...you have yourself a deal...Cellos..." the CEO nearly choked out the words before a grin spread upon the ghoul's face as he clapped his hands together.
"Oh good! Well then let's get right down to it shall we!?" Cellos exclaimed before he held his hand out to Kaiba. The blue eyed male took a moment to look at the ghoul's hand before he grasped it firmly. Slowly both of them glowed as a magic circle formed above them. "The Stars As Our Witness...Powers Of The Moon And The Sun...The Gods Before Us... Become Now As One...Seto Kaiba...Vows...To Follow You Both...Grant Him The Power Of Your Eternal Oath..." Cellos calls out before the magic circle slowly extracted aura from the ghoul's body and manifested it into a small white sphere. "This is the power from my long ancient past...take it swallow it and the pact between us will be forged..." Cellos instructed Kaiba.
The CEO reached out and picked up the white marble. He hesitated for but a moment before Kaiba placed it in his mouth and swallowed it. Afterwards his body began to glow immensely as on his left arm was engraved into his skin a Lunar Dragon. The true form of The Blue Eyes White Dragon. The CEO's eyes widened as he felt power building up inside him. Once the tattoo completed the light around Kaiba faded. Afterwards Kaiba's own aura began to pour into Cellos unsuspectingly taking quite a toll on the ghoul. Hitting him hard Cellos was brought down to one knee as a result. "Such power...it's almost...unbelievable..." Cellos muttered as not only the blue aura seeped into his body but the red aura as well.
"It's no wonder...you were in so much pain...there's so much malevolence mixed in with the benevolence...it's like the two forces are clashing against the other in a constant war..." the ghoul muttered as he trembled forcing himself to hold onto Kaiba's hand as he continued to draw the extra aura out of the CEO's body until finally the task was complete. Cellos gasped nearly falling backwards before Kaiba quickly caught him. "CELLOS! Are you alright!?"the blue eyed male questioned. "...Yes...despite my current condition...you needn't worry about me...i'll be fine...although I must say...that powers of yours...packs quite a punch..." the ghoul admitted. Kaiba only let out a sigh.
"Well, if you're still making jokes like that then I guess you're fine after all." the CEO muttered before he got to his feet only to stop dead in his tracks and held his forehead before Raeger made his way into the kitchen and gasped seeing Kaiba about to collapse. Quickly the Guild Master caught the blue eyed male as Kaiba fell over. Through his blurred vision he could see Raeger above him. And he felt so weak too. The CEO couldn't even utter another word before everything went dark. Cellos only cracked a weakened smile in The Guild Master's direction.
"You're timing, is impeccable Guild Master..." The ghoul mused. "I see you've forged the pact...it's taken quite a toll on him...and you for that matter..." Raeger pointed out. "...As observant as ever I see...indeed...clearly I underestimated the power that laid within Seto Kaiba...I couldn't absorb merely the blue aura...in order to fulfill my how you say contractual obligations...I also had to accept the red aura as well...not what I was expecting...to say the least..." Cellos confessed. "Luckily however The Wizards Of The Black Circle won't be trying to awaken it anymore." the ghoul pointed out. The Guild Master only narrowed his eyes.
"Maybe not...but don't forget that someone else still might be... with The Blood Scrolls still out there the threat yet remains...even though they are hidden...as long as they exist Kaiba won't be free of their influence...and The Wizards Of The Black Circle will not be the last one we face seeking out the power inside of him..." Raeger muttered as he looked at his best friend worriedly. "Which is precisely why my Mistress insisted upon this contract...you know incase her own personal assistance was needed...as merely a precaution..." Cellos explained to The Guild Master as he eased himself back up on his feet.
"Speaking of Kaiba...I believe I shall take him elsewhere to rest and recover...for now i'd rather not mention it to the others while they are enjoying themselves...i'll be back down shortly." "Very well Mr. Guild Master." the ghoul gave Raeger a nod before The Guild Master took Kaiba into one of the bedrooms downstairs and placed Kaiba on the bed taking a minute afterwards to catch his breath. Slowly Raeger eased himself on the side of the bed and looked at the CEO.
"Please forgive me Kaiba...I wish I could tell you about your origins...who you are...why you have this power inside of you...but my Oath as a Guild Master prevents me from doing so...but I will do everything in my power to help you regardless...I can't give you the answers...but I can help you find them..." Raeger promised Kaiba before Roxy came up behind him.
"Ah ha! Here you are. You wandered off to the kitchen suddenly but when I followed you all I found was a fresh pumpkin pie straight from the oven and you nowhere in sight." Roxy exclaimed as she walked over to him only to see the CEO laying on the bed. "Ok...this is weird...what's wrong with Kaiba? Is he ok?"the faerie questioned worried. "Well...yes and no...he finally accepted the pact with Cellos and as a result he'll probably be in bed with a high fever for a couple of days...but don't worry it'll subside." The Guild Master assured her before Roxy let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh good! You had me worried there for a sec." the faerie admitted. "I didn't know how I was going to break it to Bloom...you DID tell Bloom didn't you Raeger?" but Raeger only shook his head. "No, not as of yet...Kaiba's decision was rather sudden...even I didn't expect this outcome at this current moment." The Guild Master explained. "I see...well as long as everything's ok I guess that's all that really matters. Speaking of which Bloom wants to make an announcement. She says she has wonderful news! And as you know wonderful news isn't complete with a big old slice of pumpkin pie!" Roxy smiles before Raeger smiled in return.
"Quite right. Well in that case let's go downstairs and start getting the plates ready before we have a mess on our hands." The Guild Master suggests as he gets up off the bed. "Ah Ah! Not so fast...I want you to myself first..." Roxy teased Raeger as she threw her arms over him playfully before The Guild Master turned three shades of red. "Just kidding." The faerie giggled and kissed Raeger on his nose before she raced paced him. The poor Guild Master's heart nearly stopped as he took a deep breath before he followed her downstairs."I HOPE YOU'RE READY EVERYONE! CUZ ITS PUMPKIN PIE TIME!" Roxy exclaimed as both she and Raeger served everyone a slice of fresh pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top.
"Here you are Granny I saved a smaller piece for you." Roxy told Granny Emiko before Raeger's grandmother offered a smile. "Thank you dear. That's very sweet of you." she told the faerie as Raeger only smiled. "Aw aren't they so sweet together?" Bloom questioned Yugi with a smile. "Well, Roxy and Raeger do seem very happy when they're with each other and I think Granny Emiko likes her as well." the scarlet eyed male admitted. "Maybe I should bring my grandpa with us next time...Raeger's grandmother might actually be a good influence on him. There's an idea." Yugi chuckles with a smile.
"Now DAT would be funny!" Joey agreed as he shoved a piece of the pie into his mouth. "It migh even beh entertin..." the blonde continued with his mouth full. "Oh Joey-kun don't talk with your mouth full..." Amourette pouted. "I'm not sure you'll have much luck with that Amourette." Flora teased as she accidently got whipped cream on her nose. "Uh oh..." "Don't worry i'll take care of that for you." Cupid told the faerie before he kissed her nose taking off the whipped cream in the process as Flora blushed not able to help but to smile a little and picked up a piece of her pie and held it up to cupid.
"Say ah." the faerie coaxed before Cupid opened his mouth only for Flora's fork to slip getting it all in his face instead. "Oops! I'm so sorry Cupid!" the faerie apologized and tried to get a napkin to help him wipe it off. Duke only cracked up laughing. "What an idiot." the dice master snickered only for Flora to scowl and used her magic on the whipped cream it chasing him around squirting him over and over. "I WAS ONLY KIDDING! CALL IT OFF! CALL IT OFF" Duke cried out as he dodged the sticky goodness that kept trying to catch him. Seilina only giggled before she used her powers to reign the whipped cream back in before she walked over to Duke taking her finger and caught some of the whipped cream on it.
"Mmm Duke flavored..." the faerie teased as he pouted blushing afterwards. Even Bloom couldn't hold in her laughter along with Carlos not able to breathe. "Wow you weren't kiddin..." Joey sweatdropped as he laughed nervously. "Remind me to never make HER angry..." Marik muttered as Layla giggled. "Don't worry...i'll keep you in line." the darkly skinned faerie promised. "Uh last time I checked food was for eating..." Froste deadpanned. "Oh come on Froste. There's nothing wrong with a little fun!" Loore exclaimed. "THAT'S NO THE PROBLEM HERE! LOOK AT PIT HE LOOKS LIKE HE'S GOING TO EXPLODE!" Icy's brother cried out in protest seeing Pit twitching his eye in the corner.
"I'm more concerned about wasting all that whipped cream...nothing that good should ever go left uneaten..." Yuki murmured. "That's all well and good! But it's everywhere! Sticky...Icky...need...mop..." Pit twinged. "Just stay calm and eat something..." the black haired male murmured before he stuffed a piece of pumpkin pie in the brunette's mouth causing him to redden slight. Christy only shot Yuki a glare in return. "YUKI-KUN TAKE THAT BACK RIGHT THIS INSTANT! ONLY I CAN DO SUCH THINGS TO PIT-KUN!" the heiress fumed. "It's so nice we can eat in peace and quiet isn't it Techna?" Musa remarked sarcastically. "No chance of that happening tonight Musa." the faerie retorted simply.
"But quiet is so DULL and boring! It's more fun to be loud with lots of excitement going on! Don't you agree?" Stella beamed as she turned to Cellos taking a seat beside her. "Oh yes! The more the merrier I always say!" the ghoul agreed cheerfully. Akiba only smiled. "It is nice to eat here with so many people. The food always tastes better in good company." he admitted before Takuna only sipped his coffee. "I prefer to eat by myself in my apartment..." The Professor muttered. "That's because you normally eat take out Taku-kun." Akiba giggled in response. "The pie is delicious!" Katori exclaimed with a bright smile on her face before Yugi finally takes notice of her nearly choking on the piece he was chewing on.
"K-Katori! Oh my gosh! I didn't even see you there!" the scarlet eyed male gasped before Katori turned her attention towards him. "I was wondering when you'd notice my presence. I'm glad to see you are safe and sound...we were all so worried when you dissapeared all of a sudden..." the young witch confessed to Yugi before they shared in a hug. "I'm glad you're alright too Katori...i'm sorry that I worried you..." the scarlet eyed male apologise. "It's alright. as long as you're ok that's all that really matters...I should contact my father though he's probably worried..." Katori admitted before she eased herself to go find something write a letter with. "I think that's a good idea." Yugi agreed afterwards and watched her wander off before Joey wrapped his right arm around him.
"Hey Yug! Ya gonna eat yer piece a pie or what?! It's just sittin on your plate callin meh name!" Joey exclaimed as Yugi tried to move it away from him. "I'm gonna try!" the scarlet eyed male protested before Aster gave his piece of pie to Joey on his plate. "Here Joey, I'm not really one for sweets so you go ahead and take it." the blonde offered. "SWEET! TANKS!" Joey grinned before he dug right in. "Joey anymore and YOU'RE going to turn as big and round as a pumpkin..." Roxy deadpanned. "Quite possibly." Raeger mused. "Anyways, Bloom did you have something you wanted to tell us?" The Guild Master inquired before Bright lifted his head upwards having not said anything the whole time.
"Oh right! And I nearly forgot too!" Bloom exclaimed before she placed her fork down beside her almost empty plate. "Now that we've scarfed down some delicious pumpkin pie I have believe it or not even sweeter news to share with you all." the faerie began. "My sister Daphne got in touch with me earlier and told that she has a way we can bring Xuri our beloved friend back to us!" Bloom told them before nearly everyone looked towards Bright. He stared at the faerie in disbelief before a smile manifested upon his face as tears of sorrow were replaced by ones of joy.
"There is a Gem Of Destiny that is kept in Draconia in The Secret Ancient Library that sleeps somewhere within that world...and inside is the gemstone that contained a powerful flame that remains of Daphne's power the very same one Undine herself told us about...in order to enter the library we must obtain Eight Flames from Eight different trials...it's bound to be difficult and put all of our courage to the test but I know that if we're all working together we can make things right!" Bloom exclaimed. Instead of exchanging words everyone just smiled at the prince. They didn't need to hear anymore. They had already decided to help him in their hearts. Suddenly the door opened once again as Nebula Queen Of The Faerie's , Oritel King Of Sparks and Noah the dream weaver walked inside closing the door behind them.
"Bright we are ALL with you." Oritel exclaimed as he unsheathed his blade. "I will personally use this blade to fight by your side and my daughter's..." the king of Sparks told them. "Dad..." Bloom smiled in return before she ran over and hugged him. "DAMN RIGHT! We're not letting the A.O.J get away with this...someone's gonna pay!" Noah exclaimed before Nebula walked over to Bloom. "We once faught on opposing sides in my quest for revenge on Ogron and the Wizards...this time Bloom and the Winx...I shall fight with you...I fight not for death...but for life...for ...I know... Xuri would want that too.." Nebula murmured softly. She meant it too. "...Everyone...thank you...thank you so much..." Bright weapt unable to stop the warm tears of happiness flowing down his cheeks.
"Thank goodness..." Yugi murmured as he himself was on the verge of tears before he noticed Atem was being awfully quiet as the pharaoh looked directly at Bright rather worriedly. "You know Atem...Bright for some reason seems to be very special to Bloom's sister..." "Indeed...it would appear that way...but even I am not certain as to the reason why..." Atem told Yugi before he looked back at the prince. {...However...that gemstone also contains Daphne's very spirit...what keeps her existence from fading completely into the beyond...if she uses it to give life back to Xuri then she'd...} Atem paused within his own mind not wanting to accept the reality. {...Daphne...you're truly willing to go THAT far...? Just what are you possibly thinking...?} Although the pharaoh didn't understand the nymph's reasoning he felt as if he was forgetting something very important.
