Chapter 2- the Dawn of Spring and the other Winter Revolution events

For almost a hundred Narnian years, the country of Narnia had been locked in a never-ending winter. It had been practically nothing but snow, ice, freezing temperatures, dull, grey skies even if the sun was present, snow, ice, freezing temperatures... I'd probably make you readers feel nauseated going around this cycle over and over again but that was exactly how every year was during the Eternal Winter, also known as the Age of Winter. Even worse, there was absolutely NO Christmas whatsoever. No Father Christmas... no Christmas feasts, or fun, or enjoyment... nothing. It had indeed been a VERY miserable time for the inhabitants of the country of Narnia, and also those that had evacuated to the mountains at the Archenland/Narnia border around 36 years into the age for their safety. However, the snow and ice and Christmas-less winter were not the only factors that made life miserable for the Narnians. The White Witch who sat on the throne and ruled the country with a diamond-ice fist, had also invented a cruel and absolutely blood-soaked law system to further oppress the suffering Narnians, ranging from unfair laws such as the 90 percent food offering from each and every family and group, both from the smuggled food and indoor grown crops, to the far more EXTREME and unfathomably evil oppressive tools such as the Massacre Event (called by the Witch the 'Fighting League' to cover up its true nature) in which members from those families and groups were thrown like dumb, wild beasts to bloodily fight each other like gladiators in our world for a 'better life' offered by the Witch, all done for the sickening entertainment of that Snow Tyrant and her cronies, among them an infamous Nogistune who eventually found the base built by her very own species' ancestors (Nogitsune were corrupt Kitsune), Gandalf and Seresute and very nearly had everyone in there either destroyed or captured. That sickening event had been carried out in the Arena of Blood where so many Narnians had been slaughtered through fighting each other like starving, feral beasts, their desperation and immense desire for a better life and freedom from the oppressive consequences of the Eternal Winter been outright exploited by the Witch who had dangled that bait of a better life from a high branch. The event initially occurred once every ten years but after the Exodus event, the Witch had increased its frequency to once every year with fewer Narnians forcibly and randomly selected from various towns and families thrown in against their will but the event was still as bloody and violent as it had been before. This applied to the Narnians who had chosen to remain behind or were forced to by the Witch.

Additionally, while everyone in the stricken winter lands were facing the constraints of poverty caused by the constant snow and ice such as the inability to grow sufficient crops or hunt a sufficient number of dumb beasts and the unfair laws like the 90 percent food offering, such as the risk of freezing to death, poor shelter and starvation, the Witch and her cronies, along with the victors of the Massacre Event lived in excess and extreme luxury, often gorging and purging on the excessive food obtained from the oppressed, as well as from questionable and abominable sources (this especially applied to the meats they ate) and lived in comfortable shelters which they paraded on the magical Narnian TVs to rub their pride into the suffering Narnians and make them covet that lifestyle all the more. Then ever since the Exodus of a large number of Narnians to the Narnia/Archenland border, the Witch had tightened her hold on the stricken country with even more harsher rules in order to prohibit any more Narnians from leaving the country, along with the increase of the Massacre Event frequency from once every 10 years to once per year as mentioned before. To add, she had strictly decreed that any human that was found in her domain be brought to her so that she could deal with them for the Golden Age Prophecy hung over her like an anathema sun with its beautiful golden rays to a deadly Vampire, but regardless of the Witch's efforts to quash this Prophecy and keep it at bay, and the size of her EXTREME vanity, that prophecy eventually came true, with the initial signs of the Prophecy in the Year 1000...

Also since the Exodus in around Narnian Year 936, the members of Gandalf's group who had chosen to remain behind in Narnia to help look after the precious information on the country's history and its flora and fauna, among them Seresute, had teamed up with a group of inhabitants from the Narnian Moon and Sky Domain to help watch out for the initial signs of the Golden Age Prophecy coming to light but at the same time, Seresute and company had grieved over the loss of Gandalf who had sacrificed himself to the Witch to save the surviving migrating Narnians so that they could turn up alive in the mountains of Archenland, which had been successful. Before hearing of Gandalf's death, any individual that belonged to the other realms of Narnia, like the Moon and the Narnian Sea, such as the Talking Sea Beasts like Dolphins, Ichthyosaurs and Merfolk, and also the Baku and Moon Viscacha (a kind of Magical Rabbit-like creature), and Moon Cabbits (creatures that had the traits of both Cats and Rabbits; there were also 'Regular' Cabbits), had been transported back to their rightful places with the help of the Asgard Sky City dwellers who utilised a very powerful magical transporter called the Bifrost Transporter, which had the power to transport small groups of travellers (via teleportation via beaming) between the Sky Domain and the other Realms of Narnia but to certain spots of those Realms only. The victims from the Sea and Moon Domains had been kidnapped by the Witch during her conquering of Narnia during their visit to the Domain of the Land, but Gandalf and company had rescued most of them and while some had returned to the Moon and Sea via the Bifrost Transporter, the rest had opted to stay on the Land and help Gandalf and company in their important base-construction tasks, and after the events of the Eternal Winter and Exodus had come to pass and successfully evading Jadis and her cronies, these creatures were sent back to their rightful Realms of the Moon and Sea. Despite grieving the loss of Gandalf and so many other Narnians who had died during the Witch's rule, Seresute and company continued to watch out for the Golden Age Prophecy and its initial signs, and when those initial signs finally came...

In the Narnian sky during that time (note: this chapter is set before the Battle of Beruna in which Seresute and many others had died)

For more than 60 Narnian years since the Exodus, the sky watchers had been keeping an eye on Narnia from the air using their modes of aerial transport, such as clouds and Flying Saucers, a special type of magical air vehicle utilised by the Narnian Moon dwellers like the Moon Men, Magical Humanoids who mostly strongly resembled our common depictions of grey aliens and green Martians, and had innate magical talents much like certain Magical Talking Beasts like the Kitsune, one of which was telekinesis, or the ability to move objects without the need to manually handle them directly, using mind power instead of muscle power. They lived in harmony with the Star People, Aurora Sprites and the other inhabitants of the Celestial Dome Region, also called the Celestial Realm, of Narnia, the most-highest region of the magical land rarely EVER visited by creatures from the Narnian land or other Narnian regions, and had their own customs and culture. One type of Narnian Moon food was moon cheese, which the Moon inhabitants harvested from the hotspots of the geological activity of the Narnian Moon. This cheese was like our real-world's cheese and also the regular cheese made from the milk of certain beasts like cows, but unlike that type of cheese, moon cheese came in a variety of exotic colours like neon green or bright orange. Still, it tasted exactly the same.

In one Flying Saucer, a group of Grey Men and Little Green Men, accompanied by several other creatures from the Narnian Moon, continued to watch the Narnian land, which appeared to them as a white mass as they were observing it from the air. The leaders of this little group were Martian and Asgard and they were the main lead Little Green and Grey Men respectively, and were the captains of this crew. Martian was a petite neon green Humanoid figure who had a rather large head with two short insect-like antennae spouting from the dome, the antennae being short stalks ending in a flat disc, though some Little Green Men had bulbs or other shapes of antennae knobs instead. His eyes were bulbous black onyx stones and his body was relatively short and he sported lanky limbs. This was a common body shape for the Little Green Men though the females were shorter and more lime green than the males. Asgard, the lead Grey Man, was taller and like Martian had a bulbous head and big black eyes. He had more musculature to his figure and was relatively chubby, especially around the abdomen. His skin was mostly slate grey but he also sported several patches of silver around the eyes and on his head, and on certain parts of his body and limbs. These traits were typical of Grey Men, and female Grey Men had fewer silver markings on their bodies and were shorter. Despite these traits, the Grey Moon Men resembled the common depictions of sci-fi grey aliens in our world. Little Green and Grey Men were the most common inhabitant species of the Narnian Moon but there was also a group of a third type of Magical Spacemen, the Blue Men who were very tall and had catlike features, including golden catlike eyes and semi-prehensile tails. Females were cerulean and were shorter than the darker blue males and many sported darker blue markings such as stripes, and there were several Blue Men in this Flying Saucer as well. They towered over the other crewmembers due to their height.

Martian, Asgard and their sky-watch group (consisting of themselves and other crews in several other Flying Saucers, as well as the Sky Domain members who flew on clouds) had been examining the Narnian landscape from the air for more than 60 years since the Exodus of a LOT of Narnians from the country and the White Witch's bloodstained fist and sceptre of diamond-ice, and had been UTTERLY appalled at the constant whiteness of the region. Further, they had detected no signs of Father Christmas' presence in the area throughout the entire time, which sprouted within the sky watchers a horrible thought; there was normally Christmas every year in Narnia, just like in the other countries and Realms, even on the Moon and Sun, with one of the signs being the famous Father Christmas visiting with his assistants, mostly Elves, to distribute presents to the Narnians. The Flying Saucer users had been using their flying vehicles' special scanners to search for this figure but to their dismay, they could not find him. Based on this dismal revelation, Asgard and Martian and their teams had come to the possible conclusion that either Father Christmas had decided to stay out of Narnia due to the horrors and extreme dangers of the Witch's dictatorship, or that he may simply have been barred from getting into Narnia by her wicked magic. However, when Asgard and Martian's crew's Flying Saucer's scanners had finally picked up a signal of his presence in the Narnian region, that worry had been dispelled by relief and they had been glad that he was alright. But that was not the only bit of good news they had encountered. A report came through to them from one of the Sky City observers via magical radio.

"Asgard, Martian, we are getting reports from the Cloud-Men who had managed to get a glimpse of the Narnian land from a lower altitude that the Witch's winter spell is finally weakening. Can you confirm?"

Cloud-Men were one of the species that dwelt in the Narnian Sky Domain. They resembled tall, fluffy figures made from white cloud, some also bearing grey and silver with a rare variant bearing exotic colours like pink and yellow, like clouds seen at a sunset or sunrise. Some sported lanky limbs but unlike the truly evil creatures that also had lanky limbs, like the Slender-Men and Siren-Heads, both who served as part of the Witch's spy force and Secret Police due to their ability to disguise themselves as trees on the wintery ground, these Cloud-Men were not at all creepy and frightening. Then after hearing the radio transmission given to them by a Cloud Bird, another species that lived in the Narnian Sky and resembled sky blue birds with cloud-like cotton wings; Martian and Asgard immediately went to one of the floor windows to peer down at the Narnian landscape. Their crew also gathered around them to peer through the floor window as well. A smile formed on Asgard's face.

"Affirmative, Azurefeather," he said, hope and gladness glinting in his voice tone as he spoke, the same reaction he had to the good news that Father Christmas had finally been detected in the Narnian land, showing itself, "The snow and ice caused by Jadis' evil magic is finally thawing and melting. We're over the River Shribble and the Northern Marshlands right now."

"Yes, that is the FIRST greenery we have EVER seen in the Narnian region in decades," added Martian, his face also beaming with joy at the good news.

"Especially since our last visit," put in a Blue Man, his golden cat-like eyes also glittering.

"I guess that's another sign that the Golden Age Prophecy's coming to pass," put in a Moon Viscacha, "Alongside the appearance of Father Christmas."

The other members of the crew also wore smiles of glittering joy as they watched the patches of white melt away to reveal the green patches of spring in the Narnian region. Then their Flying Saucer continued to cruise through the air and clouds of the Narnian sky.

In a certain cave on the ground

A certain fully matured Kitsune Vixen with golden pelt, a fan of nine beautiful tails emanating from her rump, and black, onyx-like eyes (which were NOT saturated with psychotic insanity and bloodlust like the White Witch's) was talking with her helpers in a large underground cavern. These helpers were a variety of different creatures, among them Centaurs, Fauns, Fairies, Elemental Birds such as Thunderbirds, Phoenixes and Ice Rocs; Griffins, Hippogriffs, Komainu (Lion-Dog creatures), Kirin, Tanuki and more, and there were some Regular Talking Beasts present, such as a few Dinosaurs and several Terror Birds, a species of flightless warrior birds who had also been present during the events of the Exodus with a group of them having left with the evacuees. These helpers had been the assistants of this Kitsune and her mate during the base construction before Jadis' usurping of Narnia and her unrightful reign, resulting in the Eternal Winter. This Kitsune was Seresute, the widowed mate of the late Gandalf who had died during the Eternal Winter and the mother of all the Kitsune species, including the Nogitsune; Kitsune who had joined the White Witch's side with Belladonna and her sister Amanita being two of them.

Seresute was well on in her years. Since her transformation from a Regular Talking Fox into a Kitsune by Aslan along with Gandalf during the events of the Tree of Youth Quest of a certain pair of humans and a Pegasus who will eventually father the entire Pegasus species with a Pegasus Mare, and now that the Narnian year was 1000, Seresute was now exactly a millennium old. Few Kitsune lived to this age and beyond but Kitsune are not immortal and like any flesh-and-blood creature can die of either natural causes or through fatal means like mortal injury or drowning. However, despite her immense age, Seresute was still as lively as she had been when she transformed into her matured stage along with her mate, but the effects of age was beginning to wear her down, though they were currently invisible.

Seresute was having a meeting with her helpers and they were discussing updates on the Eternally Winter-stricken land aboveground, the Golden Age Prophecy, Narnia's flora and fauna (samples of which were being looked after by the conservationists who had taken shelter elsewhere in the land), and also reports from their Moon and Sky helpers such as Asgard and Martian and their crew. Nearby, two of Seresute and Gandalf's earlier offspring, Alestomeria and her mate Hagrid, were checking the books. Since Seresute had passed on the role of Chronicler to this couple after hearing of Gandalf's death (brought to them by a loyal Dryad), they had since taken over the job. Both were nine-tailed Kitsune also and because they were the VERY first generation of Kitsune, they were first-generation mates (much like Adam and Eve's first generation children in our world who had to marry each other but that was due to stronger genetics back then). However, the couple was WELL past the age of cub-bearing for nine-tailed Foxes were too old to breed. Then after Seresute had finished the meeting and had dismissed the group, the crowd dispersing like leaves blown by the wind, Alestomeria walked in, a sombre and worried look on her face.

"Mother, what's gonna happen to us?" she asked.

"What do you mean?" asked Seresute, "You mean just you and me or...?"

"No, ALL of us, Mother," said Hagrid, an equally melancholy look on his face, "Us... the evacuees who are still in the Archenland Mountains after evacuating to there over 60 years ago... and the Narnians who had chosen to remain here or were forced to stay here... everybody?"

Seresute paused at first before giving an answer. "Well, the Golden Age Prophecy is still true, you two... and that had been set forth by the Lion Above All Lions, Aslan... and since he NEVER lies, I trust him completely but I have to admit, I have been doubting him sometimes, especially after the death of my beloved mate at the hands of that Snow Serpent..." Seresute paused to take a moment to mourn her centuries-long mate, a paw to her muzzle and a tear falling from her eye. Alestomeria and Hagrid each extended a paw to comfort their mother, tears also falling from their eyes. Then Seresute continued. "But even though I doubted Aslan... I know FULL well that he always keeps his promises and NEVER goes back on his words... and based on that, I know that the Golden Age Prophecy will come to pass eventually but in his timing..."

Hagrid opened his mouth to speak when suddenly; Seresute's name exploded from a nearby tunnel entrance into the cavern. The trio of Nine-Tailed Foxes snapped their gaze to a large, flightless bird with a big, nasty looking beak with a sharp tip pointing downward, head plumes, long legs and small clawed wings, and a pair of eyes that was as piercing as a Jaguar's. It was a Terror Bird and he was accompanied by an Adlet (which was like a Faun but had the legs and tail of a Dog instead of a Goat), a Curupira (who had chosen to go with Seresute and company rather than the Curupira tribe led by Cedrus on the Exodus; Curupira were Magical Humanoids easily distinguished by their leg and foot anatomy, their feet being 'reversed' and their legs being like a bird's and their hair coming in various shades of red if male, or orange if female) and two Skvader (Rabbit creatures with the feathered wings and tail of a Grouse). The faces of all five of them were shining with happiness, the first sort in absolute ages, like the first rays of the sun breaking through a snowy cloud in ages. As the five stopped before the three Kitsune, Seresute asked, "What's going on, Bladebeak?"

Then the Terror Bird, Bladebeak, stepped forward.

"You should take a look outside the entrance," he said. The others in Seresute's group gathered round.

"I believe the trees are sprouting some fresh new leaves," added the Adlet. Seresute exchanged glances with Alestomeria, Hagrid and the others and told the five to take them to the cave entrance.

As Seresute's group emerged from the cave, they were greeted with an AWESOME sight, the first HUGE blast of good news they had EVER had since the beginning of the Eternal Winter. The landscape before them was no longer smothered in freezing snow and ice with the trees being nothing more than skeletal structures with icicles as far as the eye could see... but that ice and snow was melting. In the place of the ice and snow on the trees were buds, the first signs of the structures Seresute and the others with her who had lived before Jadis' takeover and reign of Narnia remembered grew and existed after every regular winter, and the icicles dangling from the trees' branches like transparent, crystalline stalactites in a cave were dripping, obviously melting as well. A Phoenix turned to look at one of the trees.

"Blossoms," she breathed in awe. The others followed her gaze and saw that some of the trees' branches had sprouted some pale pink flakes, along with the green ones. On the floor around the foot of the trees' trunks, the snow blanket was shrinking and breaking into still-shrinking islands and in the 'sea' between them, a carpet of familiar green blades sprouted, and the bushes were also slowly reviving. Seresute, at first, was UTTERLY taken aback by this sight and she extended a paw to touch the freshly sprouting grass, the first grass in Narnia in SUCH a long time. Then the Kitsune swayed, disbelief gripping her. She then slapped herself to try and convince herself that she was in a dream but to her shock, this was indeed no dream. Then a message came to them from Martian and Asgard from their Flying Saucer and Seresute's group was commanded to leave their temporary cave home for the rest of the Eternal Winter and head to the location of Aslan's camp near the Stone Table. Thus, the group packed their books and other things and left, though some had been hesitant, fearing that the Witch's spies may be on the watch but assured by Seresute and the few other Kitsune who were 900 years or older and were Nine-Tailed, they relented.

While Seresute's group and the rest of the Narnians departed for the Stone Table area where Aslan's camp had been set up, the evacuees who had migrated on the Exodus to Archenland Mountains, or the survivors of them due to their lifespan such as the Kitsune and Nekomata (among them Kushanku who was now in his 70s but still youthful for Nekomata and Bakeneko can live for over 200 years) and the descendants of the shorter-lived members like the Regular Talking Beasts, had all migrated back to their rightful land and were told to head for Aslan's camp, ready for the upcoming Winter Revolution battle against the White Witch and her cronies. The vast majority were indeed glad to be back in their home, having not seen it for more than 60 years and having their descendants see with their own eyes the land, complete with its green and colours, for the first time in their lives. Some of the migrants broke away from the main crowd to tend to other matters while the rest of them travelled to Aslan's camp. Some of the members, such as expectant mothers or those too disabled to participate, sought shelter in other areas. Then came the other events of the Winter Revolution, such as the four prophesied Humans who will eventually become kings and queens seated on Cair Paravel, Aslan's sacrificial death on the Stone Table to save one of those four, Edmund, who had betrayed everyone to the White Witch, the battle itself culminating with the resurrected Aslan defeating the White Witch, the restoration of the individuals who had been petrified by the Witch's spell for decades, and the seating of the four humans Peter, Susan, Lucy and Edmund as kings and queens of Narnia, and after that, the Golden Age of Narnia began. However, there had been some sad losses during the Battle of Beruna. As stated by Kushanku who narrated the previous chapter, Seresute had died instantly from EXTREME shock of seeing what Jadis was wearing during her climactic fight with Peter after she had mortally injured Edmund, and after she had impaled the false Nine-Tailed Fox Amanita with a spear to help dispose of her and her blot and unfathomable insult to the immense nobility crown of the Kitsune species, the nine tails along with the (usually) gold and metallic yellow fur. Kushanku himself had also lost several of his close friends and family during the battle, among them Satoshi, his brother; Ryn, his only sister, and several of his nephews and nieces who were his three siblings Nyarth, Ryn and Satoshi's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who had opted to participate in the battle. Despite these tragic losses and these deceased individuals being laid to rest, everyone was glad to see the Dawn of Spring finally arrive, the Golden Age Prophecy coming to pass at long last.

Present

"And that is how spring, after its 100-year-long slumber at the evil White Witch's hands, had finally awoken," said a certain Magical Cat. Sat before him was an audience of Talking Beasts, both Regular and Magical, and all of them were either young or teens, while a few were young adults, and all of them, especially the recent-born, listened to the Cat's story of the Winter Revolution intently and with fascination. The Cat was a magical species of Talking Beast called a Nekomata which belonged to a class of Magical Creatures called Yokai. However, Nekomata were not Spirit beings like Dryads, the Water Sprites such as Naiads, Fire Sprites like Pyros, Will O the Wisps and Hitodama, and Air Sprites like Sylphs, but flesh-and-blood creatures. Nekomata walked on their hind legs, possessed magical abilities and had two tails instead of one but when young, they only had one tail, which split from the tip down as the creature grew. Their cousin species was the Bakeneko which maintained a single tail throughout its entire life. Nekomata and Bakeneko could breed with each other and produce hybrid offspring, called Bakomata but their tails only partially split even when these hybrids reached adulthood. These magical Cats could also breed with other Cats such as Regular Talking Cats, and those hybrids may have a split tail but their lifespan was shorter, sort of half way between full blooded Talking Cats and Nekomata and Bakeneko, and their magical abilities were weaker. Nekomata, Bakeneko and their hybrids bore some resemblance to Regular Talking Cats in their pelts but were distinguished by some metallic, exotic colours thrown into their coat besides their bipedality, magical abilities and in Nekomata, the branched tail.

The Nekomata delivering the story was named Kushanku and he had light grey fur covering his head and neck, sort of like a Russian grey cat. The rest of his pelage (fur) was a sparkling icy powder blue which shone like ice in winter in the sunlight. However, unlike the constant snow and ice that gripped Narnia for nearly 100 years of its world, Kushanku's coat did not have a sinister theme. Kushanku's head sported plain white hair which cascaded down his head back and sides and whenever Kushanku was angry or scared, this hair will suddenly spike out. His two tails, now completely divided now that he was a fully mature Nekomata, were completely icy blue and like most Cats, Kushanku's eyes were amber in colour. Kushanku possessed a rather rare ability amongst Nekomata, and that was the ability to fly by twisting and spinning his tail branches. Now that his tail was completely split into two separate appendages, he can now fly for long periods of time. This trait was heritable and some of Kushanku's descendants and also some of his nephews and nieces who were descended from his brother Satoshi and his wife Padparadscha "Paddy" also had this trait. This trait was weaker in Kushanku's hybrid nephews and nieces who had also inherited it due to their heritage. Nyarth, Kushanku's oldest and other brother, had married a female Regular Talking Cat while his sister Ryn had married a male Bakeneko, Kobaruto who had defected from the Witch's side and their descendants were only part Nekomata. As a result, their tails were only partially branched, limiting how long they could remain airborne via tail propeller flight. Kushanku also possessed other abilities, such as the ability to jump agilely between surfaces and objects within a cluttered range, such as trees in a forest; weaponless battling skills (which would be like our world's martial arts) and limited telekinesis though Kushanku rarely utilised it.

"But the ultimate participant in that we have to thank above all else is Aslan, the Lion Above All Lions," continued Kushanku, before he gestured to the landscape of Narnian Beach. Kushanku was giving his lesson to his audience near the beach. In the distance perched on a cliff was Cair Paravel Castle where the four Kings and Queens were seated. The landscape transformed into a seascape which continued onward towards the horizon. Azure blue water lapped against pale orange sand and around Kushanku and his listeners, green with colour sprinkled decorated the floor and the trees. These were obviously leaves and flowers, the key traits of spring, and small colourful flakes danced between the flowers. These were butterflies and they were now able to live in Narnia once again now that the constant winter had melted away. Also present were several passers-by, among them a male Curupira, distinguished by his deep red hair (a male Curupira trait) and reversed legs and feet, a Talking Rabbit and an Archaeobird. These three smiled at Kushanku as he continued his history lesson and moved on. Leaning against one of the trees was another Nekomata, a female named Alexandrite who was Kushanku's wife. Like her husband, she was in her 70s but was also youthful in appearance due to the Nekomata's 200-plus year lifespan. She was a colourful Nekomata with a rainbow of colours, mostly metallic cyan, cerulean, purple-red, red and some green. She had shaggy white fur on her head and in patches on her body, and her two tails, also completely separate appendages, were different colours. Her left tail was metallic red and purple while her right tail was metallic cyan and green. Alexandrite's eyes were turquoise in colour, a contrasting eye colour to Kushanku's warm amber. However, they were not cold from any sinister intent; they were just Alexandrite's natural eye colour. Alexandrite watched her husband proudly with a beaming smile and her arms folded as Kushanku then listened to a question asked by one of the young Nekomata, indicated by its partially split tail.

"Grandpa, you told us you gotta glimpse of that Witch's 'new piece of clothing' during the fight and you were violently ill, is that true?" the Nekomata, a female asked. This female Nekomata but was mostly neon green and turquoise with darker green stripes and patches slashing through her pelage. Pale grey patches interspersed her vivid green pelage but the number of patches was small. Her eyes were cyan like Alexandrite's. In response to her question, a volcanic scowl formed on Kushanku's face.

"Indeed I was, Malachite," said he, "In fact I had to go to one side and um... take a break. That had been the final stick for us with that Devil Woman. What she had donned was the golden hairs that had formed Aslan's Mighty Mane," the Nekomata patriarch and the last surviving member of his litter then paused for a moment, then continued, "but that shock had been WAY too much for the Kitsune species mother, Seresute, and she passed away instantly and on the spot the moment she saw that... oh, not even blasphemous abomination would be enough to describe it..."

Malachite, the turquoise and green striped Nekomata who was a teen, looked on with the other youngsters and attendees. Then Kushanku decided to end the lesson.

"Well, I think that's enough on the Winter Revolution for now, my pupils," said he, "We'll have our next lesson at sunset, around a campfire in a clearing with some treats served. Dismissed."

With that, the audience all rose and prepared to disperse. As they did, Kushanku walked over to his beautiful wife.

"Take a break, Kushanku?" asked she in slight confusion.

"My euphemism for violently throwing up," replied Kushanku, "Honestly, Alex, you CANNOT fathom that Witch's AUDACITY to insult our Lion King like that," his gaze then turned to a small group of young Terror Birds as they talked with the Curupira and the Rabbit. Two of them were late teens and both sported bright white plumage. A cluster of interconnected grey patches decorated their fronts and their beaks and feet were also grey coloured. However, unusual among Terror Birds, these two had an unusual plumage colour, shown in their spots. One of them had dark blue-purple spots thrown over its plumage, neck and head, as well as a deep blue crest of feathers emanating from behind its head, and this bird was a male. The other's spots and crest feathers were red-pink and this bird was a female.

"In fact, those two over there, Basophil and Eosinophil, along with their older brother Neutrophil who is out with his cousin Monocyte watching the latter's teen brother Lymphocyte and several other young Phorusrhachi (the Terror Birds' technical name) practical exam in hunting and catching dumb beasts for food, actually fainted while battling some of those wicked Neko-Cabbits when they saw what was around the Witch's neck, and nearly ended up killed. Thankfully, a Hadrosaur rushed in and drove them off. Glad Aslan dealt with that Devil Woman once and for all."

"Aslan is Lord over all things, Kushanku, and he was the only one who could defeat the Great Evil that was the White Witch," said Alexandrite as she leaned against his shoulder, her husband putting an arm around her, "And now that she is gone forever, we don't have to worry about any forest being darkened and frozen in ice again because of her. As Aslan said, it is finished."

Kushanku nodded in agreement and embraced his beloved wife.
