Chapter 7- worrying intentions

After a full day's work of starting the mission of purging Narnia of the remains of Jadis' army and cronies, that start being a good and fruitful one, the Four Pevensie Monarchs and their army returned to Cair Paravel Castle from up and down the country for a rest, an update and the plans for tomorrow. It will be a fulltime job dealing with the last of the weeds that had been left behind by the Witch's MASSIVE infestation, the main mother-plant having been uprooted by Aslan so to speak, before those weeds could regenerate and re-establish the Witch's army, including finding and dispatching the highly dangerous Cartoon Shadow Cat, and there were other major missions to do such as demolishing the 'victors' village' and the slaughterhouse for the sanctuary and the building of the monuments and memorials continuing in the former Arena of Death, and of course, Jadis' castle though that would have to wait. As afternoon passed by, the Pevensies and their officials and company, among them Kushanku and some of his family, Dionaea, and Neutrophil, Basophil, Eosinophil, Monocyte and Lymphocyte, were at Cair Paravel castle, preparing for the evening duties. In the courtyard of the magnificent castle, Kushanku looked over a large sheet with the blueprints for the Massacre Event victim memorial monuments drawn and crossed off what had been completed, especially the cuboid-monolith one; its central decoration having been erected. Around him, some of the kids, among them Malachite, Elsa and Seishan, the former being one of Kushanku's granddaughters and the latter two, the granddaughters of Padparadscha "Paddy" and her late mate Satoshi and Kushanku's great-nieces, came by, playing. With them were Yardang, a descendant of Sandstorm the Cheetah and Kushanku's adopted brother, a young Kiriness who was the granddaughter of Azula the Kiriness named Sisu whose scales and mane were a deep metallic aqua blue with some hints of green, and blue-white respectively, and her small head horn was a white spike; a female Ahuizotl pup who was Ahhuayo's granddaughter, Larimar whose fur was pale aqua blue with white spots and her hand-tail, left-handed, and a beautiful young Pegasus filly and granddaughter of Milky Way the Pegasus, Rainbow Quartz whose wing feathers were metallic with a plethora of colours. Her mane, tail and coat, however, were white like her grandmother's. Also present were the grandkids of Kushanku and company's other friends and family such as Dahlia the Jackalope, Snowwing the Skvader, Cyril the Hippogriff, Desdemona the Griffin, Link the Peryton, Molayne the Dog and a grandson of Tesseract the Unicorn. Kushanku flashed the youngsters a smile as they played and giggled before resuming reading the memorial blueprints, a pen in his paw.

As the kids ran off and continued their playful game of tag and chase, Alexandrite, Paddy, an aging Milky Way whose sparkling white fur and wing feathers were strewn with grey, an old Ahhuayo, Teal'c the Kamaitachi, and several more friends of Kushanku walked in. Accompanying them were several Swallow-like birds that lacked legs, called Martlets, a three-legged Crow creature called a Yatagarasu, and a Lightning Pika armed with a war hammer built to suit its size. Like Swallows and Swifts, Martlets had blue plumage but their plumage was metallic aqua and white. They did not have legs at all and always kept airborne. They were inhabitants of the Sky Domain and were frequent visitors on the ground. Yatagarasu were noble Avian creatures that resembled Crows or other Corvids except they had three legs instead of two and magical abilities such as air control and even rarely, telekinesis. Their commonest plumage colour was metallic black but some had splashes of silver and dark blue or green strewn in their plumage as well. This Yatagarasu was named Voltasu and he was a young adult with metallic black plumage with patches of dark metallic blue and silver, and was a warrior. The Lightning Pika was a male named Mjölnir. He had yellow fur like all Lightning Pikas but his fur was a very dark yellow. His cheeks were red and his back stripes were blue, an unusual colour for Lightning Pikas. Strapped to his back was a cuboid stone with a wooden stick welded in; a war hammer. However, Mjölnir didn't just wield this weapon as normal. He often charged it with his electricity before striking and was skilled with utilising the war hammer this way even as a pup, earning him his name from a famous Thunder Hammer wielded and handled only by the Kings of the Sky City like a sceptre. He was a young adult and was training to become part of the Pevensies' army under the tutelage of an experienced warrior Rat.

Mjölnir was orphaned as a pup, his parents and siblings having been killed and eaten by the Cartoon Shadow Cat. Since then, he had been put into the care of a family of Rats and had been raised by them and had trained in utilising a war hammer with his adoptive Rat-pup siblings, sometimes transporting to Asgard Sky City to perfect his techniques. Mjölnir had hoped to hunt down the creature to not only dispatch it as part of the White Witch's army-elimination project and mission but to also avenge his biological parents and siblings' deaths. Accompanying the yellow Lightning Rodent was one of his adopted Rat brothers, Rattus who had brown fur and a muscular upper body and wielded a pair of battle gloves called gauntlets, the weapons built to suit his front paws, and was an expert puncher. Talking Rats were larger than Talking Mice and had been around since Aslan's creation of Narnia. Some had joined the Witch's side and forces with the sadistic and deceptively cute Blue Mice and there were a few of these Rats running amok.

As they watched the kids continue to play, Kushanku's wife Alexandrite gazed at her husband.

"How's the memorial project been coming, my brave Jaguar Tom?" she asked lovingly to the smiles of the others gathered with Rattus stifling a giggle.

"The first monument's been built," replied Kushanku as he continued to read the blueprints, "It's just the bronze and stone rings with the names of the unfortunate Narnians that had died in the Arena of Death that's to be put up around the cuboid bronze monolith..."

"I'll NEVER forget seeing that indescribable, graphic violence before I joined your group," said Ahhuayo, his turquoise fur strewn with silver hairs, his Reptilian eyes bearing bags and his hand-paws gripping a cane for he had become too old to walk as normal. Teal'c whose fur was also strewn with silver and his eyes bearing bags nodded in agreement as he hovered near Kushanku. Even in old age, Kamaitachi could still hover and fly. However, they were less agile and less able to use their main weapons, their scythed claws, in combat in quick succession. Like most aging individuals, Teal'c did not participate in the Battle of Beruna. Then the Yatagasaru, Voltasu, spoke.

"It's a good job VERY few of those unfortunate victims selected against their will for those sanguinary "games" had been of my species," said the Three-Legged Crow, "A small clan of Yatagasaru, among them my grandparents, lived in this land during the Eternal Winter but when they had been forcibly selected by the Witch and one or two of the members, one of them a chick, forcibly taken, they migrated to a cave and hid until the Eternal Winter met its end. They grew their own crops and managed to evade detection from the Witch and her cronies."

"Some of me own ancestors also joined th' Witch an' befriended those barbaric Blue Mice," said Rattus with disgust, "Those Blue Mice certainly WERE a savage plague, especially in their use o' their cuteness to make their victims drop their guard before gruesomely killin' 'em. Too bad there are still a few of those true disease-Rats around."

"And then we have that most-wanted crony of the Devil Woman, the Cartoon Shadow Cat," said Mjölnir with UTMOST rancour against the creature for the murder of his biological family, before his gaze turned to a certain visiting Terror Bird with blue-purple spots on his plumage and silvery blotches on his front as he nervously backed away from a Wanted poster with an image of the creature on it pinned up on a nearby tree trunk, "I can see Basophil over there is deathly afraid of it," as the war hammer-skilled Lightning Pika spoke, one of the young Jackalopes and Yardang ran in with another sheet of paper. Kushanku also glared at the Wanted poster for the Shadow Cat on the trunk as Monocyte gently led the unnerved Basophil from the poster.

"Ever since Aslan killed the White Witch and abruptly ending the Battle against her and her forces," he growled in a serious tone of voice, "That creature has escaped and based on the witnesses including Basophil and his clan and co-inhabitant Wolves and Sabre-Toothed Cats, it is clear that Cartoon Shadow Cat is at large. It is EXTREMELY dangerous, probably more so than a Slender-Man or a Siren-Head, and must be caught and dispatched as soon as possible before any plan it has in its wicked fur develops."

"And before it kills anyone else," put in Mjölnir to which the others bobbed their heads in agreeing nods. Then one of the Martlets as it hovered by saw some of the kids walk in with a sheet of paper. Yardang's face sparkled with fascination as he carried the sheet to Kushanku and company.

"Uncle Kushanku, folks," said the young Cheetah, "Look at this. It appears to be some kind of ad for a sea resort or something."

"We found it pinned upon on one of the trees," said a Jackalope, its horns still small indicating its young age. Kushanku took the sheet of paper from Yardang and looked at the picture and read the writing. The others around him did the same. A frown formed on Ahhuayo's face while in the background, Malachite, Seishan and Elsa walked in, curiosity glinting on their faces.

"That thing looks like a tortoise shell with a funnel on its top," said the aging Ahuizotl in slight wonder.

"Only tortoises don't float in an ocean," said Alexandrite.

"It's a resort or something," said the Jackalope, its eyes sparkling in fascination. Kushanku continued to gaze at the ad poster before scrunching it up, clear disinterest present on his face. Then after handing the poster, now a paper ball, to Voltasu to dispose of it, the last surviving Nekomata of his litter gazed at Yardang and the Jackalope.

"If you're think of us planning a trip to that sea tortoise shell, you two, you've got another thing coming," he said firmly, to the disappointment of the two youngsters.

"Yes, one," said Teal'c firmly, "it's out in the Eastern Sea and two, we have FAR more important things to deal with here."

"Maybe we can book a trip to it some other time?" asked Alexandrite but Kushanku shot this down with a stern glare and a headshake.

"I'm afraid it's out of the question," he said, "I really don't like the idea of going out into the sea and leaving this area and the work we've gotta do and secondly, Their Majesties will NOT approve of us sneaking away to some luxury resort."

"Maybe we should take that poster and show it to them?" asked Mjölnir, "If it's anything suspicious..."

"It's not important," said Kushanku adamantly as Voltasu returned after tossing the paper ball away, "It's out in the Sea and we're here on the Narnian land so it's none of our concern."

Yardang and the Jackalope's faces, and those of some of the other kids such as Seishan and Elsa fell and ears drooped but Kushanku hardened his 'That's final' glare. As he did that, Rainbow Quartz flapped in with another sheet of paper in her mouth.

"Mr Kushanku, look," the young Pegasus Filly called, her rainbow-coloured wings, mane and tail beating the air and glinting in the sun. Behind her, some of the other kids, among them a young Hippogriff and a granddaughter of Cyril, and Monocyte ran in. An eye roll occurred on Kushanku's face while the others shook their heads in annoyance.

"Just how many of those posters ARE THERE!?" shouted Rattus in irritation but Alexandrite rebuked him to cool it.

"It's an ad about 'job opportunities for gifted youngsters'," said the female young Hippogriff, her Eagle's face sparkling in fascination.

"Kids," called Monocyte behind them as they stopped before Kushanku and company as they exchanged perplexed looks.

"Job opportunities for gifted youngsters?" asked Alexandrite in confusion.

"Can we take this opportunity?" begged Sisu the young Kiriness, "Please?"

"But... you're still too young," said Paddy as Kushanku took the piece of paper and tore it into smaller pieces while Milky Way near him looked on.

"Yes, that's not important either," said he as he tore the poster into quarters. Then after ripping it up a few more times, he once again handed it to Voltasu to depose, "we already have job opportunities right here but as Paddy here says, you're far too young."

Disgruntled pouts formed on the faces of some of the kids and some of them left.

"But we are NEVER allowed to participate in the tasks," grumbled Seishan sourly before lashing at a stone and kicking it away while her twin sister Elsa, distinguished by her pink bow from Seishan's cerulean, picked up a stick and threw it aside.

"Not even helping to deal with the 'small' cronies of the White Witch," put in Malachite.

"It's because you're too young, you lot," explained Ahhuayo, "These tasks are for grownups only."

Yes, especially since there are serious dangers involved," put in Paddy.

"But don't Basophil, Eosinophil and Lymphocyte participate despite being young as well?" grumbled Yardang.

"It's because they are skilled teens," said Monocyte, his gaze on the three young Terror Birds as they discussed with two of the Martlets, "But you kids are still very young and not quite ready for training to fight dangerous foes yet."

"But I can generate a small amount of ice," said Elsa but the elders remained adamant much to her sourness.

"When you become older, Elsa, the rest of you," said Paddy with an assuring smile, "You will be able to train and take part in battling foes."

"Yeah, I wanna participate in battles like my grandfather Sandstorm did," said Yardang, "Fighting evil, rescuing people and Talking Beasts in distress..."

"Look, you lot, some of you will one day do just those tasks," said Ahhuayo.

"But until then, you lot stay out of those tasks and wait until you're older like Paddy here says," put in Milky Way.

"Oh, alright," snapped Malachite sourly and with that, she darted off with Seishan, Elsa, Rainbow Quartz, Yardang and the others after them. Monocyte looked on and shook his head.

"Our offspring certainly are stubborn at times," he said with a frown.

"I was WAY worse as a chick," said Basophil. Then Voltasu the Yatagarasu stood up, a smile forming on his Crow's beak. "Well, I'd better be off. I would like to go to the market and perhaps buy a gift for Their Majesties in the form of a cake or other bakery product."

"While we have tasks to prepare for tonight," said Kushanku as he picked up the blueprint sheet for the Massacre Event monuments and rolled it up. The others also got prepared to leave with some preparing to follow the kids.

"And we will be doing some hunting for some game for our afternoon meal," put in Monocyte as he called Basophil, Eosinophil and Lymphocyte over to him. The three obediently ran over to him and the four left. Kushanku then dismissed the group and they all scattered. However, only Alexandrite, Milky Way and Padparadscha remained with him. An unnerved look then formed on the aging sparkling white Pegasus' face.

"I've seen the Cartoon Shadow Cat myself when I went with His Majesty King Edmund the Just to deal with some Neko-Cabbits and Blue Mice reported to us by some Talking Songbirds," she said, bringing the three Nekomata's attention to her. The Pegasus then shuddered as she began to explain her sighting of the most wanted creature.

"It was lurking in the shadows of the thick thicket we were in and where those bloodthirsty blue rodents and ivory furred and neon green eared and tailed Nekomata-like creatures were hiding," continued Milky Way in a low voice, "But it was not alone."

"Who did you see with it?" asked Paddy (Padparadscha). Milky Way then closed her eyes and her mind began to enter flashback of that incident.

Flashback

Milky Way: It happened after we had slain those Blue Mice and Neko-Cabbits and while we were burning their bodies and possessions. NONE of them had taken the surrender option so they were all slain without hesitation or mercy. While we were burning their bodies and possessions, I noticed something lurking in the shadows of the thicket...

Milky Way looked over the fire as her allies and leader, King Edmund, continued to add to the source, the variety of creatures going in and out of the hideout and clearing it of the group of gathered Blue Mice and Neko-Cabbits they had slain during their raid on this area. As she did that, movement in the dark trees caught her attention. Milky Way turned her gaze in the movement's direction and saw something.

Milky Way: It was a pair of glowing eyes similar to the eyes of a nocturnal creature like a Bat, Cat or Nighttime Okuri-Inu (Wolf-like creatures whose adult form depended on the development of their activities and habits as pups and relied on the natural day-night cycle to mature in to fertile adults. They had three adult forms: Daytime, Nighttime and Twilight) and those eyes were staring at me. I felt a wave of cold chills run down my spine and when it left, I began to follow it...

The glowing pair of eyes disappeared into the darkness of the dense cover of the thicket and Milky Way, despite feeling her bones and nerves' temperature drop, flashed a look at the others and King Edmund as they continued to clear out the Neko-Cabbits and Blue Mice's den and burn them, broke away and began to follow the glowing eyes.

Milky Way: I armed myself with a wing dagger (a type of weapon armed with a spike attached to the wings for offensive uses, much like a talon. It was commonly worn and used by winged quadrupeds like Griffins, Hippogriffs, Pegasi and Manticores and was like a wing version of knuckle daggers) and disappeared into the shadowy area and believe me, I was unnerved...

Milky Way, her left wing armed with the wing dagger then began to ascend a hill after the glowing eyes. It was indeed dark despite it being daylight and only a few laser-thin beams penetrated the blanket through some holes in the above overgrowth. The darkness clearly made the Pegasus' nerves shudder but she steeled herself and continued on.

Milky Way: I knew it was not one of our own Okuri-Inu, Big Cats or other Nocturnal Talking or Magical Beasts based on the behaviour of that creature with those eyes as I saw a sinister attitude in them. I continued to follow the creature until I came to the top of a protrusion on a hill above King Edmund's group and a break in the thick shadows. However, I still felt unnerved...

Milky Way then stepped out of the thicket and onto the earthy protrusion. She looked down and saw King Edmund and company as they continued to burn the Neko-Cabbits and Blue Mice's bodies and the creatures' possessions in the fire, the smoke rising from it a few meters from the Pegasus, the members going to and fro from the large cluster of flames and feeding it more of the aforementioned fuel. Pulling her gaze from her allies, Milky Way began to examine the surroundings up there for any sign of the glowing eyes.

Milky Way after a pause: there was something hovering in the air a few metres where I was, its upper body protruding from a large cluster of leaves... near the smoke from the fire. It was hovering directly above King Edmund and company and it had companions...

Milky Way slowly turned in the direction of the smoke and saw a shadowy form. This form was jet black and had a lanky build. It had a definitive head and body. On its head were two spikes sticking right up like the triangular ears of a Bat. On its face were two white upside-down U's and below those U's was a set of white spikes. Two long black vines snaked laterally from what appeared to be its shoulders and continued downward parallel to its body. However, the creature wasn't alone. Surrounding it were several more black forms. These forms resembled giant insects without antennae. Their eyes were massive white forms and like the primary creature had as set of spikes below their eyes. These spikes, together with the primary creature's, were widened into a either a grin or a malicious scowl.

Milky Way: I then asked the creatures, 'who are you lot?' and the creature resembling a Cat scowled and replied in a hissy, ghostlike, snaky voice that it was a 'hater of 'vulgar-word Cat with a bush of neck hair and that it wanted to 'carry out the 'true Goddess of Narnia and the Highlands' orders since her death'. I then demanded that it and its comrades turn itself inbut the Cat creature slowly extended a clawed gloved hand downward to my allies and King Edmund.

Milky Way glared viciously at the black Cat creature as it aimed a finger point at her group, its face changing from a menacing grin to a malicious scowl, a snakelike hiss filtering through its toothy mouth.

Milky Way: it was pointing... directly down at King Edmund in particular... and it said in the snakelike voice, 'you do an' your mangy Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve leader 'vulgar-words' will get it an' YOU will face the wrath of the White Witch's Accomplice'.

Back to present

Milky Way looked down with a nervous look on her face while Kushanku, Alexandrite and Paddy looked on worriedly. Milky Way then continued, "That Cartoon Shadow Cat and its comrades mysteriously and instantly disappeared when Guinan and a Komainu appeared searching for me but the way that Cat behaved and its attitude towards our four Monarchs chilled me to the bone. It is clear that it is after our Monarchs..."

"Did you report to King Edmund what you saw?" asked Alexandrite. Milky Way nodded.

"And as for this 'Accomplice of the White Witch'," put in Kushanku, "That definitely sounds kind of suss."

"Maybe the Cartoon Shadow Cat is working for someone and is planning on causing our Monarchs trouble?" asked Alexandrite. However, Kushanku's face creased into a serious glare and he stood up, folding the rolled-up blueprints for the Massacre Event memorials neatly and packing it away into a satchel he had brought along with him.

"Well, no matter what that demonic Feline creature's intentions are," he said in a voice tone to match his face, "It is important that it is captured and dealt with ASAP. We don't want that creature to cause any more trouble as this time period is, after all, the beginning of the Golden Age. As for this White Witch's Accomplice, we'll get to that later."

Alexandrite, Milky Way and Padparadscha nodded in agreement when suddenly, a MASSIVE scream exploded from around the corner of a pillar to the courtyard. Looks of alarm flaring on the four's faces, the three Nekomata and aging Pegasus took off and swerved around the pillar, knowing that that scream originated from one of the children and as that group of children appeared, the four saw that all of them were stood stock still. The fur on the Mammalian kids such as the Nekomata was fluffed out as though electrically charged. The four sprinted on towards them.

"What is it, Malachite, the rest of you?" cried Kushanku. As he, Paddy, Alexandrite and Milky Way skidded to a halt, Rainbow Quartz, her eyes inflated out of their sockets, pointed a hoof to the trigger for the scream. Nearby, Rattus the Rat, Ahhuayo, Teal'c, Monocyte, Neutrophil, some of the Martlets, and Mjölnir examined the forest.

"There are several dead Yellow-Finned Forest Flish here, Mr Kushanku," said one of the young Jackalopes and a grandson of Dahlia the Jackalope, one of Kushanku's adopted family members, his paw aiming for a carcass. Kushanku and Alexandrite walked in and examined the carcass. It was a fish-like creature, coloured metallic green, yellow and chartreuse with black bands on its body and large wing-fins. It had a long, sharp orange beak and tail ending in a vertical fin like a Tailed Pterosaur and its 'legs' were finned with claws. Forest Flish were non-Talking Magical Fish that dwelt in some of the forests and thickets of Narnia and were often coloured in forest colours like green and yellow and were the land counterparts to the Ocean and Sea Flish that lived out in the Eastern Sea. They slept by hanging upside down from their pelvic 'leg' claws like Bats. Forest Flish came in a variety of species with this one, the yellow-finned Forest Flish, being one of the more common species. However, here, there were several of these bird-like fish creatures dotting the grass of the forest and had been the trigger for the scream from Malachite. Kushanku continued to examine the Forest Flish carcass, flies buzzing around the smell of decomposing meat of the body and frowned.

"I think a dumb bird of prey has tried to catch this Flish only to abandon it later," said the white-haired Nekomata, "Nothing to worry about."

"Nuthin' t' worry about, Kushanku?" snapped Rattus with suspicion and in disagreement, his forehands armed with his gauntlets, "There are several o' these Forest Flish strewing th' lawn in this part of th' thicket. I wouldn't say this was th' work of some bird o' prey..."

As he said this, Ahhuayo looked up but the moment his Reptile's eyes landed on something in the shadows of the thicket, he immediately issued a command and Mjölnir immediately seized his war hammer and charged it with his electricity.

"Kushanku, can you get these kids to the Cair Paravel School please?" said the aging Ahuizotl in a nervous but controlled voice. Kushanku flashed a look into the forest and immediately obeyed without hesitation. Commanding the children including his grandnieces Seishan and Elsa and granddaughter Malachite who were still shaking from the sight of the Forest Flish carcasses, he and the others apart from Ahhuayo and several others gently led them away in the direction of said building. Milky Way took her granddaughter Rainbow Quartz while Teal'c gently led the Jackalopes, the two young Griffins and three young Hippogriffs, Yardang, Sisu the young Kiriness, and a young Peryton who was a grandson of Link away, and Neutrophil and Monocyte led Lymphocyte, Basophil and Eosinophil away.

As the group left, Ahhuayo threw on a hostile glare into the thicket, seized his sword and aimed it at whatever was staring at them from the darkness while Rattus prepared his gauntlets and Mjölnir, his electrically charged war hammer. What was staring at the group from the darkness was a face. They appeared to be a pair of distorted white crescent moons flipped onto their points above another larger crescent flipped on its side. However, these three crescents were not at all pretty to look at, especially the large crescent as in it appeared to be a row of spikes.

"D' you think we should fetch one of our Monarchs 'ere, Ahhuayo?" growled Rattus as he struggled to quell his shuddering nerves at the sight of the three crescents forming the sinister face. The aging Ahuizotl was about to reply when the three heard the sounds of hooves and feet landing on soft grass behind them.

"What's going on, you three?" asked a familiar female voice. Rattus, Ahhuayo and Mjölnir turned round and saw a young Human woman dressed in her royal clothes ride in on her horse and surrounded by several high officials, among them a Komainu, a Centaur and one of the Nine-Tailed Kitsune, Alestomeria and all of them wore concerned looks on their faces.

"We heard a scream from one of the children during our walk so we came here to check on you," spoke Alestomeria, "Is everything alright?"

"I believe we are seeing you-know-what through there in the thicket," said Ahhuayo with a point of his tail-hand in said area. The Centaur and the Komainu exchanged looks and left for the area.

"There are several dead Forest Flish strewing the area," said Mjölnir, "and we don't know how they had died..."

As he spoke, Rattus followed the Centaur and the Komainu as they arrived at the area where the Rat and the other two had stood. As Rattus turned up and gazed into the thicket with the two bodyguards of the female Human on the horse, Queen Susan, to his surprise, and a VERY unnerved one at that, there was nothing there. Ahhuayo, Queen Susan and the others joined them as a perplexed look formed on the Rat's face.

"It's gone," said he, "It-it-it was right THERE," he pointed a gauntlet-wearing paw in the direction of where the three sinister crescent moons were. Alestomeria and Queen Susan stared into the darkness where the thicket was dense and also saw nothing. However, they did not shrug it off, especially as the Nine-Tailed Kitsune and current Chronicler alongside her husband Hagrid examined two of the Forest Flish carcasses.

"We need to ensure that ALL the young that live around here are kept under STRICT supervision," said Alestomeria seriously, her beautiful shining ivory tails tipped in metallic gold swinging behind her like long bundles of silk, "And also that strict and stringent safety rules and curfew are put in place."

"Yes, especially if that most wanted follower of the White Witch is afoot around here," said the Komainu, a male based on the size of his mane for females had smaller manes, "After all, Milky Way did report of that creature and its apparent accomplices point sinisterly to your brother, King Edmund, your Majesty."

"Then make it so," said Queen Susan seriously, "And we must also ensure the safety of ALL inhabitants of our country until that creature and every other remnant of the White Witch is caught and disposed of. The last thing we want is anyone else getting hurt," she then turned her gaze to the dead Forest Flish carcasses, "and I believe the cause of those non-talking winged fish's deaths isn't by some predator but there's nothing we can do about those poor creatures, but their unexplained deaths should not be swept under the rug. Now let's return to the castle, discuss this and report this to High King Peter."

The others nodded and with that, the group left the area and headed back to the castle while Alestomeria sent the Komainu to the Cair Paravel School (one of the education areas for young Talking Beasts and Magical Creatures that lived around Cair Paravel Castle, such as Kushanku and his siblings' descendants) to check on the kids and speak to them about some VERY important safety rules.
