Chapter 13- savage confrontation with the Cartoon Shadow Cat
High King Peter and company continued to stand stock still, their battle with Pettigrew and company and their rescue of the kidnapped victims including Malachite SEVERELY halted by the appearance of the most wanted minion of Jadis and its seizing of one of the Pevensie siblings and two Queens of Narnia as a hostage, alongside its Tentasect minions who were poised for action. Pettigrew and company, with an approving nod to the Cartoon Shadow Cat who was their ally, hastily resumed their unloading of the carriages and handing their victims to their allies in boats, using the Shadow Cat's appearance as a distraction. However, they did this in haste, knowing that this distraction would NOT last, especially with two powerful Nine-Tailed Foxes present and on their enemies' side, and their species-exclusive ability, foxfire, was potent enough to instantly kill any of them if a beam of it was fired from the paws of either of them. Further, despite overuse of this ability being an Achilles heel even to Nine-Tailed Foxes via extreme exhaustion, Nine-Tailed Foxes were also especially powerful in their other skills like telekinesis and fire breath. The Cartoon Shadow Cat firmly held Queen Lucy in its clutches with one clawed hand on her neck, its upside-down U eyes boiling with a CAUSTIC concoction of UTMOST rancour as they remained focussed on the Queens' three older siblings, and its maw armed with countless needle-like teeth gritted and salivated with the same emotion. Nearby, Kushanku, Tumnus and the latter's cousin Guinan stood there in stun, their Tentasect opponents in their grasp. The air above the faceoff continued to remain silent for a further few terrifying seconds but then the next unthinkable thing happened.
Kushanku shattered the brief stunned silence with a MASSIVE Cat screech and the twisting of his tails, his front paws clutching his GC Sword-Within-A-Sword.
"Kushanku, WAIT!" shouted Tumnus but the Nekomata, his fur puffed out and his white head hair which cascaded like whipped cream being poured down a dome-shaped cake down the sides and the back of his head flared, propelled himself into the air and tail-copter-flew towards the Cartoon Shadow Cat, the edge of the blade of his weapon aimed for the Shadow Cat's neck, one intention regarding Queen Lucy in mind and it totally eclipsing ANY second thought. His eyes also flared from amber to flaming orange as the Nekomata's instinctive urge to protect and save friends and loved ones in danger, Fury Mode, surfaced. Tumnus and Guinan, as well as the others including Alexandrite, Padparadscha, Queen Susan and Kings Peter and Edmund, watched in horror as Kushanku continued to fly towards the Shadow Cat from behind. However, the tall, lanky black Feline demon resembling a monochrome cartoon cat figure from High King Peter and his siblings' world like Felix the Cat, whirled round and eyed the Fury-Mode Nekomata, its two clawed hands clutching an immensely petrified Queen Lucy.
"KUSHANKU!" cried Alestomeria. Then to the UTMOST horror of Kushanku's allies, the Cartoon Shadow Cat formed a third hand which was white with clawed fingers and the arm, black like its two regular arms, from its right shoulder and stretched it in the direction of the incoming Nekomata.
"Kushanku, look OUT!" cried Guinan. Kushanku only had time to see the incoming hand but before he could react, the hand seized him by the neck.
"KUSHANKUUU!" cried Guinan. Then Tumnus drew his sword and launched into a gallop towards the Cartoon Shadow Cat as it gripped Kushanku, the Nekomata screeching in UTMOST agony as he struggled and thrashed in the grasping appendage at the same time, the Cartoon Shadow Cat kept a firm grip on its first hostage, Queen Lucy as she released a terrified scream at Kushanku's rapidly worsening predicament. Then sinister red sparks began to dance down the arm from the Shadow Cat's body to the hand. Guinan saw her cousin sprint towards the Cat figure, the urge to save his best friend and Kushanku explosively taking control of him.
"TUMNUS!" she cried. Then the Cartoon Shadow Cat turned its caustic glare in the Faun's direction as the Humanoid-Goat, his eyes blazing volcanic fire as he raised his sword, ready to cut down the creature.
"LET MY friends Queen Lucy and Kushanku GO, you TWISTED BLACK FELINE MONSTER!" bellowed the Faun gutturally. Then the Cartoon Shadow Cat produced a fourth hand and arm from its left shoulder. This one had a larger white hand but its finger talons were long and clawed, like a Bird-of-Prey's foot talons. Behind the Cat, Kushanku continued to writhe in agony in the third hand as the red sparks continued to dance and run down it and all over him. He continued to thrash as though he were in a Nogitsune's torturing foxfire though this was no foxfire at all. These sparks were something FAR more sinister. Neutrophil, with Basophil cowering in UTMOST fright at the sight of the creature that had traumatised him as a chick behind him, saw this hand. Around the brothers, Eosinophil and the others continued fending off the Tentasects and try to reach Pettigrew's group as the continued to hastily hand their kidnapped victims to the boatmen on the edge of the sea.
"TUMNUS, LOOK OUT!" screeched the Terror Bird. Tumnus had time to look up but then the hand's claws slashed through the air and struck the Faun. Screams exploded from the watchers, especially Guinan, Queen Susan, King Edmund and High King Peter as they saw the Faun fly back in the direction from whence he came and crash HARD into the floor. Neutrophil was forced to cover Basophil's eyes with a foot to block out the horrific scene and the children the rest of High King Peter's group had managed to rescue was forced to look away. Hagrid sprinted towards the downed Tumnus as he came to rest at the foot of a tree while Alestomeria's left paw raised and became surrounded in a ball of sparkling yellow electric-fire, the Kitsune's eyes blazing orange from IMMENSE fury aimed at the Cartoon Shadow Cat as it released meow-y cackles at the downed and gravely wounded Faun. However, before Alestomeria could launch a stream of deadly foxfire at the Shadow Cat while King Edmund, wrath at what the Shadow Cat had done to Tumnus, was about to surge forward, a familiar two-tailed Cat with white head hair, grey and metallic powder blue body fur and carrying a large sword suddenly appeared before them. The Cat then raised his sword and aimed it threateningly at Alestomeria as she prepared her foxfire-burning paw, stopping the Nine-Tailed Fox and King Edmund in their tracks with the latter's horse rearing up on its hind legs in shock, especially at what exploded from the Cat's mouth at the former.
"STOP RIGHT THERE, YA (BLEEPIN') DOG or I'LL CUT YA NINE TAILS OFF an' TURN 'EM INTO SCARVES FOR ME TO WEAR!" screeched Kushanku caustically and in a demonic voice that wasn't his own. Alestomeria winced violently while King Edmund almost threw up and the others including High King Peter and Queen Susan flinched ever so severely. THAT was THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL thing ANYONE could EVER say to a Nine-Tailed Fox, or any Kitsune ANY age as a matter of fact, but most especially the fully matured Nine-Tailed individuals who were especially noble like Centaurs, Kirins or Unicorns. However, Alestomeria barely restrained herself from fatally roasting Kushanku with her foxfire when she saw five clawed fingers of a large hand grip Kushanku's body and a long black snake connecting the hand to the Shadow Cat whose original two hands remained firmly gripped on the petrified Queen Lucy. Further, Kushanku's face had undergone a disturbing change. Instead of the warm and friendly amber eyes Kushanku usually had, white upside-down U's each bordering a black pupil saturated to the brim with PURE bloodlust were present. Kushanku's mouth was stretched across his face in a menacing manner, all of his teeth, especially his incisors, borne in a threatening way, similar to the Cartoon Shadow Cat's toothy oral opening. In fact, Kushanku's face had become an almost-carbon copy replication of the Cartoon Shadow Cat's face and his voice had transformed from his usual voice to that of a rabid and demonic animal. Alestomeria gazed at the Nekomata's disturbing facial transformation and shuddered, realising one thing.
"That Feline Demon Beast has got Kushanku POSSESSED!" she blurted out. Indeed Kushanku was possessed. One of the Cartoon Shadow Cat's most sinister powers was possession and taking control of individuals by using extra arms generated from its wicked magical body and it always used puppets to do its bidding or to communicate with its opponents clearly for it could not talk clearly by itself. This trick worked best on Feline individuals such as Talking Cats, Leopards and even Magical Cats like Nekomata and Bakeneko, and when a Feline was possessed, their face always took the form of the Cartoon Shadow Cat's face and their voices also changed into more monstrous, rabid and demonic sounds, these descriptions matching the evil Cartoon Cat creature perfectly.
Kushanku, who was possessed and now puppeteered by the Shadow Cat, then turned his caustic Shadow Cat's eyes to King Edmund and his horse and lunged at him with his sword, forcing the King to draw back and counter with a sword swipe while his horse reared up again. The two metals clashed with a clang and the pair began to struggle against each other, EXTREMELY vile sewage vomiting from Kushanku's mouth from the Cartoon Shadow Cat as it proceeded to insult the King with its mouthpiece. Then suddenly, a colourful Nekomata appeared and broke the faceoff between Kushanku and King Edmund for Alexandrite had surged in with her sword. Kushanku then turned his attention to Alexandrite and began engage her in a brief swordfight.
"GET OUTA THE (BLEEPIN') WAY, you (BLEEPIN') (BLEEP)!" snarled the Cartoon Shadow Cat rabidly through Kushanku in his twisted voice but Alexandrite, her usually turquoise eyes ablaze with orange with Fury Mode, refused and began to engage her own husband in battle. However, her Fury Mode was not against Kushanku.
"LET MY BELOVED HUSBAND LOOSE, you VILE SLENDER-CAT SERVANT OF THE QUEEN OF THE FLIES!" snarled Alexandrite as she deflected Kushanku's sword swipes with her own. The Cartoon Shadow Cat's eyes, as well as its mouthpiece and puppet's then flared a demonic red as the Shadow Cat then made Kushanku attempt to cut Alexandrite down with his sword but Alexandrite, her eyes blazing orange fire, countered with each swipe. The clanging of metal gained metal exploded into the air as the two Nekomata viciously fought. In the background, Hagrid looked over Tumnus who grasped his side and belly where the Cartoon Shadow Cat had struck him. The Faun's face was twisted in EXTREME agony and the injury he had received was extremely brutal and bloody, not to mention fatal as it made Tumnus lose blood at an alarming rate. Hagrid turned to Guinan as she cried hysterically over her downed and mortally injured cousin.
"HAVE YOU ANY FIRE-FLOWER CORDIAL ON YOU, GUINAN? GIVE IT ME QUICK!" shouted the Nine-Tailed Dog Fox (male Fox) Kitsune. Quickly and despite the sight of her injured cousin sending her into a tempestuous whirlwind of hysteria, Guinan reached into the pouch she had on her and began to hastily search for her bottle of the cordial. The bottle of the cordial Guinan had was far smaller than that of Queen Lucy's and was more like a vial so she only used it very rarely but due to how gravely wounded her cousin was, now was one of those times. Then as soon as Guinan felt for a small cylindrical bottle, she pulled it out and handed it to Hagrid who then, without wasting a single second, administered it to the severely wounded Tumnus.
While Hagrid treated Tumnus and pulled him from certain death in time, Alexandrite continued to fight against the possessed Kushanku, their swords clashing wildly. In the Cartoon Shadow Cat's clutches, Queen Lucy looked on timidly, whimpering. Rattus then surged forward with his battle gauntlets to help Alexandrite but a black tendril from a Tentasect seized the Rat's rear feet and tail and pulled him back, forcing Rattus to engage this foe in battle instead, his gauntlet-donning forepaws jabbing at the creature in the form of punches. Then Monocyte surged forward but another Tentasect's tentacle appeared and snared his left foot, making the Terror Bird stumble. Then Monocyte was pulled back to his frustration. The same thing occurred to the rest of Kushanku's allies, the Tentasects pulling them back and keeping them occupied to prevent their leader, the Cartoon Shadow Cat's enemies from getting help, so the Shadow Cat was free to toy with Kushanku and company as it saw fit, one of the ways being in the form of Kushanku fighting his own wife with the sword.
As the two Nekomata viciously engaged with the four Monarchs and company looking on wondering what to do, Kushanku, under the Cartoon Shadow Cat's control, began to spit taunts to Alexandrite, his Cartoon Cat-like maw spanning the entire width of his face, beginning with doubts about her love for her husband and why she married him in the first place. Alestomeria then began to look for a window of opportunity to strike the Cartoon Shadow Cat down with her foxfire, her right front paw aflame with fire-lightning but Ahhuayo advised against it.
"I wouldn't attempt to use your powerful foxfire on the Shadow Cat, Alestomeria," the Ahuizotl said before his Reptilian gaze turned to the Cat's first hostage, "If you do, the Cartoon Shadow Cat could shield itself with Queen Lucy and you could kill her instead."
Alestomeria flashed Ahhuayo a look before turning her gaze to Queen Lucy as she struggled in the Cat Monster's gaze and abandoned the idea, not wanting to accidentally kill one of the Four Monarchs and the Cartoon Shadow Cat had ABSOLUTELY no qualms whatsoever about using a human as a shield in any way possible, plus it was one of the creature's plans to kill the Four Monarchs anyway. The possessed Kushanku continued to taunt Alexandrite as the pair locked their swords and gazed furiously at each other with Alexandrite's eyes blazing orange from Fury Mode and Kushanku's Cartoon Cat-like face sneering demonically and tauntingly. Then the Cartoon Shadow Cat began to take its taunts through Kushanku in a different direction.
"Did ya know that Aslan is a smelly overgrown (bleep) with a messy hairdo, (bleep)?" spoke the Shadow Cat through Kushanku in a demonic voice, "The REAL Goddess of Narnia is Jadis..."
"Your White Witch Mistress was NEVER the Goddess of Narnia to begin with, Shadow Cat," retorted Alexandrite as she braced herself against the possessed Kushanku's GC Sword with her own, "ASLAN is the TRUE CREATOR AND LORD OVER NARNIA..."
The Cartoon Shadow Cat-possessed Kushanku, with a demonic snarl sounding like that of a rabid cat, surged forward and, in an unbelievable display of strength that exceeded even Kushanku's own, shoved Alexandrite back with his sword and sent her flying towards Milky Way as the aging Pegasus rushed in. The She-Nekomata collided with the Pegasus and the pair crashed into the ground. Then the possessed Kushanku turned his wrath towards Kings Edmund and Peter and Queen Susan as the latter rushed forward on her horse to drive him away from Alexandrite and Milky Way by swinging her bow. She was not intending to hit Kushanku but was attempting to get him to retreat. However, the Cartoon Shadow Cat had its puppet launch into the air at Queen Susan. Then as soon as he was at the Queen's height, Kushanku lashed out and gave Susan a devastating blow to the face with a powerful swing of a paw, spitting a caustic insult at her as he did it. The force of the blow was powerful enough to knock the older Queen off her horse and she fell like a tree towards the ground. Padparadscha and Teal'c surged forward and managed to catch the Queen just in time before she could injuriously hit the ground where there were rocks, the Kamaitachi (the latter) catching her head and upper body and collapsing painfully onto the rocks. The weight of Susan's upper body drew the breath out of him and he twisted his Weasel's face in agony. The fall sent Queen Susan's crown falling from her head but Sordward, who had broken away from the fight against Pettigrew and company in their attempt to rescue the kidnapped victims as they continued to hand them to the boatmen in the water, rushed in and seized it.
"Gotcha, Your Majesty," said Padparadscha "Paddy" as she then began to help the Queen to her feet with Teal'c struggling and wincing due to the pain of breaking Queen Susan's upper body onto the rocks. High King Peter and King Edmund rode in to check on their sister as Alestomeria came in to help.
As Queen Susan was helped to her feet with Sordward handing her crown back to her, her face became visible. The Cartoon Shadow Cat's attack on her through Kushanku had left a bright red, painful mark and a few short scratches on her right cheek but that sight had sent HOT rage burning through the observers, especially her brothers, especially as Queen Susan held it, her face twisted in pain. Then the brothers shot the Cartoon Shadow Cat a VOLCANIC glare as potent as Alestomeria and Hagrid's deadly foxfire as it and its puppet released cackles at the sight. Then without thinking, King Edmund rushed forward and drew his sword.
"WE CANNOT ALLOW YOU TO DO SUCH A THING TO OUR SISTER!" he bellowed, "WE WILL FIGHT YA!"
The Cartoon Shadow Cat, its face and that of its puppet Kushanku, saturated with UTMOST scorn and mockery then released a snicker before talking to him through its puppet. Kushanku writhed for a second but the Cartoon Shadow Cat remained in control over him. It was clear that he was trying to fight against the Cat's control but the Cat was extremely powerful. High King Peter came up alongside his brother and glared caustically at the Cat as well. Then the Shadow Cat and its puppet turned their gazes from King Edmund and High King Peter and back before turning their heads to one side in sympathy for King Edmund. However, this sympathy was not at all real.
"Did Aslan really crown you as king over Narnia, Edmund?" the Shadow Cat asked King Edmund through Kushanku in a sweet, smooth voice (not Kushanku's own), "Then how is it that He didn't crown YOU as HIGH KING instead?"
King Edmund continued to keep his sword up at the Cartoon Cat Beast but this question struck something within him. Teal'c began to examine this as the Cartoon Shadow Cat continued through Kushanku in that same honeyed voice sprinkled with sympathy like powdered icing on a chocolate cake. "Do you really wish you were High King instead of your older brother there? After all, being 'second best' isn't your most favourite thing."
"No, Your Majesty," shouted Teal'c as he recovered from breaking Queen Susan's fall using his own body as a cushion and despite the lingering pain, "Don't listen to the Cartoon Shadow Cat's temptation! It's trying to..." however, the Kamaitachi was cut off by a black tendril-like tentacle from a Tentasect as it appeared and tightened around his neck like a noose, sending the floating scythe-clawed Weasel-like Yokai into a coughing fit and struggle for breath. His clawed paws flew to the tentacle and tried to pry its constriction from his neck but the Tentasect refused to slacken its grip on his neck. Paddy also struggled in the tentacles of another Tentasect and so was unable to help too. The Cartoon Shadow Cat continued its temptation of King Edmund, targeting his weakness of wanting to be successful and top of the pyramid's apex. With two more hands generated from its demonic, shadowy body that was as black as Jadis' devilish eyes, the Cat conjured a dish. This dish consisted of a literal dish made of the purest of silver and large blocks of sparkling jewels sat within. Pure white powder coated the blocks. Then after conjuring this confection, the Cartoon Shadow Cat telekinetically levitated it over to King Edmund, its eyes glowing red and a red aura surrounding the dish, indicating the mental grasp and hold. Unlike most Magical Creatures who used telekinesis, such as Kitsune, Sphinxes and Cat Yokai (Nekomata and Bakeneko), whose eyes glowed neon blue and their target surrounded by an aura of that same colour, the Cartoon Shadow Cat's eyes and aura surrounding its targets glowed a sinister red. Krampus, the Shadow and Impersonator of Father Christmas also had this trait, as did Jadis though she rarely used it but whenever she did, her eyes and her target's aura were silvery white but this white was not at all beautiful in a good sense. King Edmund's eyes then became transfixed by the sparkling blocks of Turkish delight, his favourite treat as the Cartoon Shadow Cat then spoke through Kushanku in the same smooth voice as sweet as the pure icing sugar coating the blocks. "This Turkish delight of the finest quality in all of Narnia, as well as my promise that you will have a queen by your side when I make you High King in ALL of Narnia shall be yours..."
"Your Majesty, ignore that Turkish delight and stay focussed on dealing with that foe and rescuing your younger sister and Kushanku from its clutches," shouted Paddy nearby as she struggled to pry a Tentasect from her head and upper body, her paws grasping two of its black tentacles as it attempted to noose them around her neck, "REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED WHEN THE WHITE WITCH..." she could not finish this sentence when her Tentasect foe smothered her mouth with two of its shiny black tendrils, forcing Padparadscha to writhe and squirm in an attempt to get it off her head and upper body, her voice filtering through her gagged mouth in the form of muffled protests. King Edmund continued to remain transfixed by the beautifully conjured Turkish delight as the Cartoon Shadow Cat continued to tempt him trough Kushanku.
"If you will fight your older brother there, kill him and give his body to me..." finished the Demonic Feline creature. Queen Lucy continued to struggle in its original two hands while Hagrid, the healed Tumnus and Guinan were stonewalled by more Tentasects, one of them entangling the Dog Fox Kitsune's tails, the crown of every 900-plus-year-old Kitsune's wisdom along with the golden fur, with its tentacles to the Kitsune's rage. High King Peter then tried his luck in intervene.
"Brother, COME ON!" he shouted to his younger brother, "SNAP OUT OF IT! REMEMBER YOUR PREDICAMENT WITH THE WHITE WITCH!"
King Edmund continued to gaze hypnotically at the Turkish delight dish, his mouth flooded with saliva at the confection's tastiness and appearance and his mind swimming with the thought of being High King instead of Peter, complete with his own queen by his side. Oh, the thought of ruling Narnia as High King by himself instead of ruling it under his older brother was as tasty as that Turkish delight. Then pulling his gaze from the Turkish delight and turning it to his brother, King Edmund glared jealously at him. Then before High King Peter or the others could wonder what was happening, the younger King lashed at the former and attempted to strike him down with his sword. However, High King Peter countered with his Rhindon sword, causing the two swords to meet in an X with a metallic clang. After this, the two brothers launched into a fierce swordfight to the HORROR of the onlookers, especially Queen Susan, Queen Lucy, Hagrid and Alestomeria but to the delight of the Cartoon Shadow Cat and its Tentasect assistants. In the background on the beach, Pettigrew and company continued handing their kidnapped victims to the boatmen, a few of them stopping briefly to witness the clash between the two kings but being forced to resume their evil task when they came under attack from the Flying Rods, Rosa the Magenta one flashing a horrified look at the duel.
High King Peter and King Edmund continued to exchange fierce sword swipes, the blades clanging when they met each time as the latter tried to swipe the former. Kushanku, who was under the influence of the Cartoon Shadow Cat's possessive power, then tried to fight his way out of the mind control of the Beast, the horror of seeing the two brother Kings clashing penetrating the possessive mist the Cartoon Shadow Cat had shrouded his mind with.
"GET OUTA ME HEAD! GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OOOUUUT!" he screeched in his usual voice, thrashing wildly in the Cartoon Shadow Cat's controlling hand and striking the fingers with his GC Sword in an attempt to get free but the Cartoon Shadow Cat tightened its physical and mental grip on the Nekomata, sending more sinister red sparks coursing down the black snake of the third arm and onto the hand and Kushanku, and the fingers on the hand tightened their grip on the Nekomata's body. The Nekomata thrashed and screeched in EXTREME pain as though tortured by a Nogitsune's foxfire, his eyes flashing briefly to his usual amber colour but the pupils rolled up and his neck arched backwards as he tried to get free of the Shadow Cat's possessive control but the Cartoon Cat Beast managed to regain control of him, transforming his face back into the replica of its own face once again. Alexandrite screeched Kushanku's name but the Cartoon Shadow Cat extended another arm with a clawed white hand to her in attempt to grab her and seize control of her too but Alexandrite dodged and slashed the hand with her sword, making the arm vanish in a long veil of sinister black smoke to the Cartoon Cat Beast's rage. King Edmund and High King Peter continued to exchange fierce sword clashes until finally; King Edmund managed to force his older brother's sword away and send him into loss of his balance on his horse, leaving him open and exposed for the deathblow as he waved his arms to regain his balance. However, before King Edmund could do this heinous deed, Hagrid managed to fight his way out of the Tentasects' net of black tentacles with a blast of foxfire and blue flames from his mouth, incinerating the creatures instantly to black carcases, dead, and surged forward.
"KING EDMUND THE JUST!" the Dog Fox Kitsune barked loudly and at the top of his voice, calling King Edmund by his name rather than 'Your Majesty'. That was enough to penetrate the red mist of jealousy shrouding King Edmund's sight and he stopped just before he could swing his sword at his older brother's neck to inflict the deathblow. He then flashed Hagrid a stunned look as the Kitsune then incinerated the Cartoon Shadow Cat's conjured Turkish delight with his blue fire breath, reducing it to nothing more than inedible ashes and flaming black embers. High King Peter managed to regain his balance and after that, he gazed at his younger brother, EXTREME fright at what had happened gripping him in the form of rapid breathing, trembling and sweating. Queen Susan, who was now off her horse from being knocked off there by the possessed Kushanku also ran in as King Edmund looked on in UTMOST horror and disbelief at what he was about to do to his older brother. Then it dawned upon him and as it did, his rage exploded BIG time. Shooting a VOLCANIC scowl at the Cartoon Shadow Cat and Kushanku in its clutches, the younger King walked away from the still-shaken High King Peter as he got down from his horse to rest with Queen Susan and Alexandrite helping and walked over to the Cartoon Cat Beast to confront it. Memories of how Jadis tempted him and her use of him as a bait this way to lure his brother and two sisters into a trap involving that same confection (which was HIGHLY addictive and magically imbued to be so) also added to the fires of his fury, especially how it lead him to betray his siblings AND the Narnians.
"YOU only WANT ME to LOATHE MY BROTHER and TAKE THE PLACE GIVEN TO HIM by ASLAN THE GREAT LION and LORD OVER ALL OF NARNIA and FEED OFF THAT JEALOUSY AND CONFLICT BETWEEN US TWO AS WELL AS A BLOODY DEATH OF ONE OF US," he bellowed gutturally, shouting louder than he had EVER shouted before, "WELL, I am NOT GONNA FEED YOU with SUCH BARBARIC SIGHT, you TWISTED, DEVILISH, DEMONIC FELIX-THE-CAT CESSPIT MONSTER! YOU can GO AN' STARVE!"
An EXTREMELY ENRAGED screech exploded from the Cartoon Shadow Cat and its puppet at its failed temptation attempt of one of its targets and with its painful grip on Queen Lucy who was screaming with its two original arms, the Beast sent Kushanku surging forward towards King Edmund and began to engage the younger King in a VICIOUS duel. The battle soon resumed and within moments, High King Peter and company countered full force against the Cartoon Shadow Cat and its Tentasect assistants, as well as Pettigrew and company. Several Tentasects were turned to blackened carcasses in a literal flash of orange-yellow fire-lightning from the two Nine-Tailed Kitsune as they blasted them with their foxfire (safely away from their allies of course) while swords slashed and cut down more Tentasects. Neutrophil, Eosinophil and Monocyte continued to battle FIERCELY against yet more Tentasects. Basophil, however, continued to cower in the sidelines, the presence of the Cartoon Shadow Cat practically paralysing him in place. Flashbacks flared in the young Terror Bird's mind, some of them being the Cartoon Shadow Cat's sadistic, maniacal face and its savage claws, that face taking immense pleasure in the Terror Bird's (ironic) terror and suffering as it tortured him when he got lost after rebelling from his clan.
Eosinophil, together with Sordward, Sheilbert, Athos, Porthos, Aramis, Squea'tagnan the warrior Mice, surged forward at Pettigrew and company as the Flying Rods carried some rescued kids they had managed to seize away.
"TAKE 'EM TO SAFETY, YOU TEN!" commanded Athos loudly which the Flying Rods did. The Mice and Eosinophil then resumed their battle charge towards Pettigrew and company. However, they smacked into an invisible wall which also gave them an electrified, painful jolt. Pained squeaks and a squawk exploded from the group as they jerked back. The invisible wall rippled like water at the impact point of a thrown pebble and then resumed its usual smoothness and transparency while within, Pettigrew and company continued handing the boatmen their kidnapped victims, among them Lymphocyte, the younger brother of Monocyte and the other cousin of Neutrophil, Basophil and Eosinophil, and Yardang the young Cheetah cub and Malachite, one of Kushanku's granddaughters. Eosinophil glared acrimoniously at the invisible wall.
"Those servants of the White Lady of the Flies have ERECTED AN INCLUSER BARRIER!" the young female Terror Bird screeched. The six Warrior Mice then looked on in frustration, wondering how they were going to get to the captured victims now. On the other side of the force field wall, which was indeed an Incluser Barrier, conjured by a special magical powder thrown into the air and painted by the powder based on how it fell back to earth, looked on mockingly.
"HAH; in your FACE, LOSERS!" taunted the Jadis-loyal Elf with an insulting, vulgar hand gesture as a vile topping. The Stinger-Rat also did a vulgar dance to add to the taunt. Eosinophil and the Mice looked on caustically when suddenly; a shout exploded from behind, "EOSINOPHIL, MICE; MIND OUT!"
The pink-red-spotted Terror Bird and the six Mice flashed a look of confusion but then a white aging Pegasus flew in and scooped them out of the way, moments before a jet of orange-yellow fire-lightning surged from High King Peter's group and struck the Incluser Barrier. The barrier was shattered within a few seconds for that fire-lightning was foxfire fired from Alestomeria who had seen and recognised the force field and barked the command to Eosinophil and the six Mice to move. The Incluser Barrier gone, Pettigrew and company were now exposed. Milky Way, who had scooped Eosinophil and the six Warrior Mice out of the way to prevent them from being fatally cooked by Alestomeria's incredibly deadly (but Achilles heel if overused) foxfire, then surged forward with an ENRAGED neigh. Eosinophil, the six Mice and Alestomeria, along with Rattus who had his battle gauntlets and Mjölnir the Lightning Pika who was armed with his battle hammer, surged forward and began to engage Pettigrew and company in a brutal battle to rescue more of he kidnapped victims.
While Alestomeria and company sought to Pettigrew and company, King Edmund continued to fight the Cartoon Shadow Cat-possessed Kushanku in a VICIOUS swordfight while the rest of High King Peter's group dealt with the rest of the Tentasects, some of them fleeing to Pettigrew's group. However, King Edmund struggled against Kushanku's rather heavy and large GC Sword, in addition to the strength that was out of Kushanku's own natural range and soon, he was overpowered and disarmed, one swing of that large bladed sword knocking his own from his hand. Then the Cartoon Shadow Cat, speaking with Kushanku as its mouthpiece, released a triumphant gloat.
"NOW I've gotcha, you USELESS SON OF ADAM (BLEEP)!" it said in a demonic voice screening Kushanku's own, Kushanku's Cartoon Cat-like face glaring menacingly at the disarmed young boy King with a salivating grimace and his paws gripping his large blade. King Edmund backed away, his face laced with fear and terror but then a colourful fur comet rushed in and bashed into Kushanku, knocking the possessed Nekomata off balance and into a stumble. In the process, the GC Sword flew out of his paws and clattered heavily to the ground. King Edmund looked on in astonishment as Alexandrite then seized the GC Sword, pulled out the smaller blade from the larger blade-scabbard and surged towards the possessed Kushanku as the Cartoon Shadow Cat tried to make him regain control of his balance. Then with her eyes blazing orange from Fury Mode, Alexandrite raised the smaller sword and aimed for the snake of the arm connecting Kushanku to the Cartoon Shadow Cat.
"RELEASE MY HUSBAND, you VILE CAT BEAST!" she screeched and with that, she brought down the small sword onto the shadowy arm, slicing through it in a chop. The moment the link between Kushanku and the Cartoon Shadow Cat was literally severed, the large arm and hand disappearing in a curtain and large puff of sinister black smoke like the other arm that had attempted to seize Alexandrite earlier, Kushanku's usual self returned and he collapsed in a heap, dazed and confused while the Cartoon Shadow Cat released a screech of agony. At the same time, High King Peter surged towards the Cartoon Shadow Cat holding Queen Lucy on his horse and slashed at its head with his Rhindon sword. The Cartoon Shadow Cat released another scream of agony; that scream resembling a rabid, demonic cat and stumbled back, releasing Queen Lucy in the process. As soon as she was free, Queen Lucy, a flash of rage flaring within her, seized her dagger and flung it at the Cartoon Shadow Cat. The Cat, however, seized the dagger telekinetically as the knife neared its face, its eyes flashing red and the dagger being enclosed in a red aura, spun it round and sent it flying like a small spear directly back at Queen Lucy. The young Queen looked on in stun as the knife flew towards her but then a sword appeared and deflected it away from her, saving her from her own dagger. Queen Lucy shot a surprised look at the sword's owner, Tumnus as he then seized the dagger and returned it to her, which she gratefully took and packed away. High King Peter, together with Hagrid, his eyes flaring orange from wrath, continued to drive the Cartoon Shadow Cat away, the former swinging his sword at it.
"C'MERE, you VILE SERVANT OF THE WHITE WITCH!" bellowed the High King gutturally as he continued to swing Rhindon at the Shadow Cat. In the background, Queen Susan quickly nocked an arrow to her bow and fired it. The arrow flew at the Shadow Cat but the moment the arrow made contact with its shadowy body, it vanished, the Cat's body absorbing it. Queen Susan tried another arrow and the same thing happened. She tried a third arrow with the same result. Then the Cartoon Shadow Cat stretched one of its arms, enlarged its clawed-fingered hand and swung it at High King Peter, forcing him to duck and dive out of the way as the talons of the hand swung where his head was. The talon-clawed hand slammed into a tree trunk, its talons raking into the bark and carving claw marks into it. The Cartoon Shadow Cat then withdrew its hand. Hagrid then countered with a blast of blue fire from his mouth at the Cat Beast as it backed away, demonic cackles escaping its mouth. Then it began to speak in a garbled, demonic voice.
"ONE DAY, TRUE GODDESS OF HIGHLANDS WILL RETURN!" it bellowed like a rabid animal.
"DIE, ya VILE CAT OF THE FLIES!" screeched Hagrid gutturally and with that, he flared his left front paw with an orange-yellow electric flame of foxfire. Now that the Cartoon Shadow Cat was at a safe distance from any ally, foxfire can be safely used. However, before the Dog Fox Kitsune could fatally blast the most wanted minion Jadis with this fire-lightning that was ONLY exclusive to his species, the Cartoon Shadow Cat seized a ball of dried dirt nearby telekinetically, its eyes flashing red and that ball becoming surrounded by a red aura, and then flung it full force directly into the Kitsune's face. This time however, Hagrid did not have time to react and the ball of dried dirt exploded violently in his face the moment it connected, some of it getting into his eyes, nose and mouth. The Kitsune released a MASSIVE Fox bark of agony from the impact, flung his upper body back and began to desperately rub his eyes of the dirt particles with his front paws the electric flame of foxfire surrounding his right paw snuffing out, and spit more dirt particles out of his mouth. Furious grumbling, spluttering and spitting exploded from his mouth along with the dirt particles and saliva. Tumnus, Queen Lucy and Guinan then rushed in to help Hagrid clean his face of the dirt while High King Peter surged forward at the Cartoon Shadow Cat as it cackled sadistically at Hagrid's predicament, his right hand grasping his Rhindon sword but as he did, the Cartoon Shadow Cat, more cackles exploding from its demonic, toothy mouth formed in an EVIL grimace, then floated off into the forest like a Shadow, too fast for High King Peter or anyone else in his group to catch it. High King Peter slammed a fist HARD onto a tree trunk in EXTREME anger, his face contorted and teeth gritted with it. However, as he did, an apple dropped from the above branch and hit his head and almost knocked off his crown, adding to his humiliation further.
The most wanted minion of Jadis had managed to escape.
