Dabi sighed.
"Ah, too bad," He rubbed the back of his head casually, "Would've liked to talk to this kid a little more," He grinned maliciously, "But I'm sure we'll be seeing her on TV if she's with you, Hawks," He then began to prepare his retreat, "Ujiko..."
A black substance abruptly burst from his mouth, catching the four off guard as it started to cover his body and Miko tightened her grip on Kurikaramaru as her hands shook, but it glowed the white she needed to purify this unnecessary being from existing, "Kurikaramaru, cleanse his life!"
"Bye, No.1 Hero, I'm sure we'll get to talk again," Dabi turned his attention back to Endeavor, "Just keep doing what you're doing and don't go dying on me, Todoroki Enji!" And with that, just as a massive wave of white light shot through, he was gone within the black substance.
"Isn't that how they disappeared in Kamino too, right?" Mirko thought out loud, tapping a leg against the ground and sighed loudly, "I barely got any action here! That sucks!"
Miko lowered her sword with disbelief, 'A FAILURE! THE ABSOLUTE WORST! I'M NO ALPHA IN ANY WAY,' It took a minute to sheathe her weapon, 'At this rate, I will never find them and get them back!'
A pat on her head caused Miko to jump and she let out a noise. She looked up, eyes widening at familiar long white hair and adorable ears that her hands involuntarily twitched to touch.
"You're an interesting kid! I like you!" Mirko grinned, "The stunt at the Hero Billboards and going against one of the most feared villains without an ounce of hesitation! That white light was pretty awesome! Would it have evaporated him or something?"
Hawks saw that Miko was absolutely speechless and as stiff as a rock and sighed, "Mirko, she's had a pretty rough day," A few of his feathers picked up Miko and dropped her in front of him and Endeavor, "I'll introduce you to her on another day, all right?"
"You better!" Mirko smirked, "Well, I'm outta here! I need to find more clues to these damn villains!" She a giant leap with her powerful legs, she was gone from sight within a second.
"Hey, Miko-chan, are you okay?" Hawks asked, his face filled with concern that turned anxious when Miko dropped to her knees in front of them, "Miko-chan?!" He noticed that even Endeavor looked alarmed.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Miko bowed her head, "I failed! I failed!" She gasped for air, "I even let one of you get injured when it was such a weak opponent! I am not an Alpha at all..."
"W-what are you talking about, Miko-chan?" Hawks grabbed her hands, pulling her up to stand, "None of this is your fault. You need to understand that, okay?" His eyes seemed shadowed a little, 'Just how much did the HPSC screw up her mind? And why would he send one so powerful?'
"I am responsible for my own injuries," Endeavor stated with a scowl even as blood dripped down his face, "You have nothing to do with it, girl."
Miko stared at Endeavor for a moment before she stepped before him, looking up as the foot-and-a-half height difference became obvious, "Flame Oni, let me see your face." She ordered.
Endeavor's brow twitched, "It's Flame Hero, girl." He felt like sighing, but conceded to Miko's wish and lowered himself enough that she had access to his face and thus, his injury.
Hands were immediately upon his wound and there was a pink glow that felt warm and euphoric, "W-what is that you are doing?!" Endeavor asked, instinctively wanting to pull back, but found himself that he could not.
Hawks simply watched in awe.
"Atoning for my failure," Miko answered, "Your eye will be fine, but there will be... a scar." She let out a shuttering breath, suddenly remembering the pain of the scar embedded on her hip.
A forever reminder.
