Chapter 15- reports and bad news for High King Peter

Soon

The search-and-destroy missions began to continue with greater intensity, the urgency of hunting down and eliminating as many of Jadis' surviving minions and as quickly as possible now greater than ever. General Biter took his team of warrior T-Rexes southward with Neutrophil and Monocyte returning to their Terror Bird clan to gather the hunting group waiting for them as well as report on Lymphocyte's disappearance along with a number of other young victims at the clutches of some of Jadis' minions. Dispatched aerial soldiers such as Pterosaurs, Ropen, Flying Birds-Of-Prey and Flying Magical Beasts such as Longma, Hippogriffs and Griffins snaked out of the top of Cair Paravel's takeoff point like smoke before splitting and diverging in several directions. While the search-and-destroy groups were being dispatched, Pteranodon set to contacting Asgard Sky City for aerial assistants on finding the kidnapped victims taken out to the Eastern Ocean, to spy on them and to report back to Cair Paravel regularly. From one of the watchtowers, Kushanku looked down at the departing land groups as they headed off back into the Narnian landscape to finish the mission of eliminating all traces of the White Witch as soon as possible before any of those minions could come up with a revenge plan. From a window, Eosinophil and Basophil looked longingly down at the departing and armed Centaur soldiers as they galloped like men on battle horses down another path. Though the two had passed their hunting exam when they were younger, they were still too young to participate in the dangerous search-and-destroy missions and because Neutrophil wanted them out of danger for they had been through enough as it was, especially at the clutches of the Cartoon Shadow Cat who had once again disappeared. Sadly, the two young Terror Birds, worry for their cousin Lymphocyte and his wellbeing, and that of the other kidnapped youngsters such as Malachite, Seishan, Elsa, Yardang and Rainbow Quartz gnawing at them, turned and left the windows. The search-and-destroy groups continued snaking out of Cair Paravel until finally, the last of them had departed.

After the search-and-destroy missioners had been sent on their way to hunt down the last of Jadis' minions including the Cartoon Shadow Cat with STRICT instructions that no Feline be among them for obvious reasons, High King Peter turned to the next important task, tracking down the kidnapped young victims and planning a possible rescue of them. However, that was an extremely difficult task for if those youngsters and other victims had been taken out to sea, rescue within the field of the Pevensies and their officials was impossible. As High King Peter walked back to the meeting table, Pteranodon appeared.

"I have enlisted the help of Asgard Sky City's spy force to help track down the kidnapped victims and their sea kidnappers from the air, Your Majesty," said he, "But I have also enlisted the help from an ally group from one of the Eastern Ocean kingdoms to assist in tracking them from underwater so that we have two sets of different eyes on the kidnapped victims and where they are being taken..."

"That's excellent, Pteranodon, thank you," replied High King Peter. He then breathed an exhausted and stressed sigh and put his hands on his forehead. Then he looked up and eyed the kitchen. "I think I'll have a slice from Voltasu's gift cake as a break. It's been a difficult and exhausting morning dealing with that Cartoon Shadow Cat, our failed rescue of our kidnapped victims and sending out the search-and-destroyers..."

"I don't blame you, Your Majesty," said Pteranodon with a frown, "The Cartoon Shadow Cat is one sly monster that poses such a serious danger to everyone, especially within the vicinity of where it roams," the Flying Reptile's eyes then turned to a group of shaken youngsters as they were being examined by some nurses, among them a couple of Mermaids in legged form. These were the children that had been successfully rescued. "And that lot has been badly traumatised by the whole ordeal. I dread how worse it is going to be for those that had been successfully taken out to sea, among them Kushanku's granddaughter Malachite and adopted Cheetah great-nephew Yardang," shudders chilled the Pterosaur and he shook a little, "I just hope that their kidnappers hadn't taken too far out to sea."

"That is why I wanted assistants from our sky allies from Asgard Sky City, Pteranodon," said High King Peter, "They'll help to track the victims and report back to us of our location."

Pteranodon nodded before turning to a certain Magenta Flying Rod as she talked with Alestomeria. "And I'm particularly worried for that Flying Rod Rosa over there. She seems to have had a traumatic experience with Alcina, that often-nosey Three-Tailed Kitsune with red, magenta, violet and gold fur."

"I'm not surprised," said High King Peter with a frown, "There had been quite a few Nogitsune that had served under Jadis and several, according to Hagrid, had been capturing and using some of them for nefarious and unmentionable experiments. A certain Nogitsune with the name for deadly nightshade had been one of them..."

"Maybe Alcina's presence had been a trigger for bad memories?" asked Pteranodon, "Some Nogitsune had been red-furred, haven't they?"

High King Peter said nothing as he continued to gaze at Rosa and Alestomeria as they continued to talk. Then his gaze turned to another group of creatures, that same look of trauma but from a different, more recent source plastering their faces as a medical Adlet, Curupira and Faun examined them and treated any injury they had.

"Pteranodon," he said, "I would like you to help look after those rescued children and keep updates on the aerial and sea spy teams from Asgard Sky City and the Underwater Kingdom ally as they track the other kidnapped victims and their kidnappers out in the Eastern Ocean. Relay ANYTHING that they report back to you regarding that group and their location to us, the Kitsune Chroniclers Hagrid and Alestomeria or any other high-ranking official. Got it?"

"Yes, Your Majesty," said Pteranodon and with that, he left to carry out his duties while High King Peter retreated for the kitchen for a much-needed break. He looked forward to sinking his teeth into a slice of the gift cake Voltasu had purchased for him and his siblings.

And so, once he was in the kitchen, the High King gazed and smiled at the two-layered cake, its glittering edible decorative gold, silver and aqua blue glitter sparkling like metallic sand around the confection's sides and tops. Bright yellow stars spotted their sides and their tops were pure white. The upper tier was stuffed with the finest Narnian chocolate with some of the glitter smothering it. It was indeed a beautiful cake and High King Peter thought it was thoughtful of Voltasu in purchasing such an amazing cake just for him and his three siblings. After gazing at the cake for a further few seconds and admiring its design and the glitter, he went to a drawer, pulled it out and pulled out a large cook's knife. He then returned to the cake and began to cut out a slice. Once he had got one, he placed the knife to one side for King Edmund and Queens Susan and Lucy to take and help themselves to the cake, High King Peter placed the cake slice on the plate and left for a table to eat it. He ate the slice in the most polite and dainty way fit for his position and within a few minutes, he had finished his slice, a smile of satisfaction adorning his face at the tastiness of the treat.

"Voltasu shall have a treat in return for this," he mumbled happily to himself as he then stood up and left to put his plate, which now had cake crumbs and glitter residue decorating it, into the sink. Once he had placed his plate there for either himself or a servant of the castle to wash later, High King Peter left the kitchen and resumed his duties.

Sometime later

The search-and-destroy missions continued up and down Narnia. A group of Squeezers and Hags who had been hiding in a cave had been found by General Biter and his T-Rex soldiers and some accompanying Centaur and Komainu warriors and the creatures slaughtered when they refused to surrender. Several wanted Nogitsune had also been hunted down and slain. However, the Cartoon Shadow Cat remained in hiding and to the frustration of the search-and-destroyers; they could not find it and dispose of it. Despite this, they pressed on and continued their tasks. Pteranodon had been keeping the Four Monarchs informed and updated of the Sky City and underwater spies' reports of the location of the kidnapped victims and the boatmen as they ventured further out into the Eastern Ocean. They had brought back reports of more victims; most of them young, being sent out there but a few had been rescued by the search-and-destroyer groups before they were handed to the boatmen. Joining the aerial spies were some of the Moon Men, among them leaders Asgard the Grey Man and Martian the Little Green Man, and they travelled in their Flying Saucers with some Cloud Riders. In addition, Kushanku had returned to the Massacre Event Memorials to see the progress of the erection of the monuments and carving of the graves.

In said area where workers of various types, such as Dwarfs, Brownies, Curupira and small Apes who continued working on melting, casting and shaping the metal into long blocks, engraving the names of the more of the victims that were mercilessly thrown into the Massacre Event arena to fight to their deaths by the White Witch and her cronies on them and the large Talking Beasts such as Elephants, Sauropods and Rhinos, helping to move those blocks into their places of the monuments, the noises of kilns burning, sloshing of molten metal being poured into moulds, tools clanging into metal blocks and chattering flooding the air above the site, Kushanku walked through with Tumnus, Betelgeuse and Rigel.

"So why was Rosa so upset?" asked the Nekomata to the Faun and the two unusually-coloured Wolves.

"A number of Flying Rods had been amongst many Sky Domain victims that had been captured by the White Witch's cronies during the Eternal Winter," explained Tumnus, before his face turned dark, "They had been put through the most UNFATHOMABLE tortures and nightmares that I daren't mention."

"Some of those experimenters had been Nogitsune," added Betelgeuse, "Our grandfather Nanu told us about it when we were cubs for he had been one of the witnesses to those abominable processes, along with Ahhuayo the Ahuizotl. One of the experimenter Nogitsune had been that infamous Belladonna before she found Gandalf's base."

"Those inhumane and abominable experiments continued pretty much throughout the Age of Winter," added Rigel, before her face turned dark, "Some of the Flying Rods had been young and I believe Rosa could have been one of them as that sickening sub-project continued almost to the end of the Age of Winter before the Dawn of Spring and the Winter Revolution."

"She had actually been one of the more recent victims," said Tumnus the Wolf sisters, "And when she saw Alcina it brought back bad memories. Any Kitsune with less than five tails, in fact, are a trigger. She has no problems around fully matured Nine-Tailed Foxes like Alestomeria and Hagrid, however."

"Even less-than-Five-tailed Kitsune who have NEVER participated in those wicked experiments using those Flying Rod victims are a trigger. Rosa reacted to a male Three-Tailed Kitsune who is a cook and a chef in Cair Paravel's kitchen," said Rigel, "So it is clear that she had had a BAD experience with Jadis' Nogistune."

"She and any other Flying Rod that had survived and been traumatised by those experiments will be sent back to Asgard Sky City for their safety and until we have eradicated as many of Jadis' remaining minions as possible, especially the Nogitsune still loyal to the Witch" said Tumnus, "plus they will go through some thorough and serious counselling to help them deal with the HORRIBLE after-effects of their TERRIBLE experiences at the clutches of those immoral experimenters."

"Jadis and her minions certainly have kidnapped plenty of victims of a wide variety of species from the other domains, including from the Underworld Domain such as some Basan, Gnomes and Salamanders and from the Sea," said Kushanku. Nearby, Nyaonix the Bakeneko and the widowed husband of Kushanku's sister Ryn walked in after examining a Brownie's engravings of a list of names on a metallic block, along with an engraving of a Lion head with a fiery mane, obviously Aslan.

"Among the Sea victims were those we, including Dionaea the Manticore, had rescued when we had been young, Kushanku," said the single-tailed Magical Cat Yokai, "along with the Sun biosphere guardian, the Rainbow Serpent which to this day I still could not BELIEVE a group of those minions had managed to catch..." the Bakeneko then shuddered at the memories of the EXTREME rage the colourful Air Reptile erupted with at being captured and severely mistreated. As he said this, Betelgeuse and Rigel turned their gazes skyward when they noticed something colourful glide through the air high against the blue canvas dotted by some white puffs of cloud. It was very colourful, like a flying rainbow and it resembled a Flying Rod. Trailing behind it was a stream of colourful sparkles. The two Wolves blinked.

"Hey, what's that up there?" asked Rigel. Kushanku, Tumnus and Nyaonix gazed upward. However, they saw nothing.

"What's what, you two?" asked the middle one.

"That colourful Flying Rod-like thing that flew across the sky," said Betelgeuse.

"Well, we don't see anything," said Kushanku as Nyaonix squinted at the blue sky. Then the latter formed a smile on his muzzle.

"You might have spotted the elusive Rainbow Serpent," said he, to which the Wolf sisters shot a stunned look. "I know; I have met it in person when it was captured by some of the White Witch's cronies for the Witch's sickening use, such as its hide for the Witch's wardrobe of vanity, and had even ridden on its back after we had set it free and rescued a group of kidnapped Sea Citizens and Creatures. VERY rare is the Rainbow Snake seen, and even MORE so on the ground but now that the White Witch is gone for good and the number of her minions dropping with these search-and-destroy missions, the Rainbow Serpent is happily roaming free in the sky without the worry of being targeted by a bunch of wicked creatures."

"As well as guarding the delicate biosphere of the Sun," put in Kushanku. He then turned and smiled at the working Dwarfs and company as they continued their memorial construction. "Well, I'm gonna head back to Cair Paravel and help formulate the rescue plans of the kidnapped victims taken out to sea once our assistant spies from one of the allied Underwater Kingdoms and Asgard Sky City have located where they had been taken, so I'll see you guys later."

With that, he twisted his two tails and launched into his signature propeller-tailed flight. Nyaonix watched him leave for Cair Paravel.

"I sure hope our relatives who had been among them such some of my grandchildren are alright," he said worriedly. Tumnus, Betelgeuse and Rigel nodded before the four resumed walking through the construction site to check on the second memorial being erected.

Back at Cair Paravel

High King Peter sat on his throne discussing with several generals, among them a Centaur warrior as he gave updates on the progress of the search-and-destroy missions.

"Our teams have successfully managed to find and clear out a cave of hiding Hags and Squeezers, Your Majesty," said the Humanoid-Horse creature, "and we have managed to hunt down and capture some of the roaming Nogistune with some of them being arrested after choosing the surrender option and the rest, killed on the spot when they showed defiance. But we STILL haven't found ANY sign of the Cartoon Shadow Cat or its Tentasect minions."

"They have also managed to rescue some kidnapped victims and dispatch many of their kidnappers while they were being taken to several other beaches for transport out into the Ocean like the ones you fought against during your confrontation with the Cartoon Shadow Cat on the beach near your castle," said a Kangaroo, a Buck with a Stallion (male Horse), a Peryton Buck, a Harpy (Bird-Humanoid who had feathered wings, Bird's feet and feathered tails) and a Deer Buck flanking him, "and it is clear that some of the Witch's surviving minions are taking kidnapped victims to the beaches to be sent out into the Ocean..."

As the Kangaroo said this, Hagrid, Pteranodon and a male Cherub, a Humanoid with feathered wings like a Harpy but without the feathered tails and Bird's feet, the wings bearing metallic gold under coverts in males (who also had silver hair) and metallic electric blue under coverts in females (who had shining white hair) came by and shot the group a look. Then the Peryton spoke.

"It is clear that these groups are sending out these victims into the Eastern Ocean which suggests one thing," the Bird-Deer said, "Jadis' minions could have formed an alliance with a sinister group out at Sea."

"And are likely sending the kidnapped victims, most of them young children and Talking Beasts and Creatures, to them for possible slave labour," added the Stallion, before the male Talking Horse's face turned dark with dread, "Or worse... to train them to be their successors and minions of whoever takes over the Witch and fills in her place."

The others exchanged looks of worry.

"That could imply that Jadis had an apprentice who would succeed her once she falls, Your Majesty," said the Centaur warrior to which High King Peter put a hand on his chin as he entered thought, "But the question is, what do those surviving minions of Jadis want with an ally out in the Eastern Ocean where they are sending their kidnapped victims?"

As the Horse-Humanoid said this, the male Cherub turned his gaze to Hagrid and Pteranodon.

"Could the Metalburg those Merfolk and Sea-Fish People we have interviewed have any possible connection to all this?" he asked.

"I'm not sure, Stratus," replied Hagrid, "We have no confirmation or evidence to support that theory."

"Our Sky City, Moon and Sea assistant spies are still tracking the kidnapped victims and their boatmen captors who are obviously aligned with Jadis' minions on the mainland and helping them and have not found their main destination yet," said Pteranodon. The Cherub, Stratus' face fell in disappointment. Then he returned his gaze on High King Peter as he continued to talk with the Kangaroo, the Buck Deer, the Harpy, Centaur, Peryton and the Horse. Then High King Peter stood up from his throne.

"I'll go to my and King Edmund's royal bedroom and take some time to think about this, you lot," he said, "But thanks for the report anyway. I'm glad the search-and-destroy missions are going on great and I hope we can track down where the kidnapped victims carried out to sea are being taken and formulate a plan of rescue."

"We're gonna need help from our allied Sea Kingdoms and Asgard Sky City allies since the rescue will take us out into the Eastern Ocean," said the Deer Buck. Hagrid, Pteranodon and Stratus nodded in agreement to this.

"And if those surviving minions DO have any allies out anywhere in that area, we're gonna need to establish a plan of infiltration of any fortress they may have set up, and attack as part of the rescue of those victims," added Stratus.

"But we have to see what sort of fortress or other base they have established first," said the Peryton.

"But our helpers will report that information to us as they track the boatmen and the kidnapped victims to wherever they are going," said Pteranodon with Hagrid nodding in agreement. Then High King Peter dismissed the group and they scattered while the High King himself left for the stairs in the direction of his and his brother's bedroom.

The Four Monarchs had two bedrooms in their castle where they slept. One was for the Kings and the other was for the Queens and High King Peter was heading to the Kings' bedroom. As the High King disappeared up the stairs, a flying Nekomata with metallic powder blue, light grey and white fur and spinning tails entered via an open window. As he appeared, two water Rodents who were significant helpers of the four Kings and Queens before their crowning when they arrived in Narnia appeared and shot the arriving Nekomata a pleasantly surprised look.

"Oh, Kushanku," said the male, simply called Beaver, "How's the memorial setting up in the former Arena of Blood coming?"

"It's coming on fine despite the situation with the Cartoon Shadow Cat and the rest of the White Witch's surviving minions," replied Kushanku as he touched down.

"You know, I lost my grandfather when I was only a wee pup to the Massacre Event during the final number of years of the Age of Winter," said the female beaver, simply called Mrs Beaver, a scowl on her face, "Initially, the Massacre Event invented by the White Witch shortly after she took over Narnia, deceptively named the 'Fighting League', was to occur once every ten years but after the Exodus around 30 to 40 years into the Age of Winter..."

"Jadis made it once per year instead to tighten her diamond-ice fist of tyranny on our country," said Kushanku, finishing Mrs Beaver's sentence to which the She-Beaver and her husband nodded.

"You and your brothers and sister and future wife were among the lucky lot and Aslan-blessed that you had managed to make it to the Narnia/Arcenland border to escape the Snow Tyrant and her dumb animalistic event," said Beaver in a serious voice, "But the rest of us including our little Beaver clan, we had been forced to stay behind and wait out the rest of the Age of Winter until Aslan's coming and the coming of our four Monarchs-to-be."

"A LOT of Narnians had died in that Arena of Blood because of the White Witch and her IMMORAL event, I can tell you," said Kushanku, before the Nekomata shuddered, "Members of a family or group... randomly and forcibly selected to be thrown like dumb beasts into that Arena to fight to the death for a 'better life' offered by the Witch... I lost an adopted Cheetah brother in the third Massacre Event when I was only a Nekomata kit who had only discovered my rare ability to fly with my branched tails..."

As Kushanku continued to talk with the Beavers at the foot of the stairs, High King Peter, who was already in his and King Edmund's room, then sat on his bed to take a little break before seeing to the next task. However, as he entered into thought o process Pteranodon and company's reports on the kidnapped victims and the search-and-destroy missions' progress; a strange and abnormal feeling began to bloom within him. His stomach then began to feel like it was contorting within his belly. High King Peter's face then flushed from his usual skin colour to a sickly pale green and his eyelids slid halfway down his eyes. Then a feeling of instability began to slowly take hold.

"What the White Witch put forth was totally opposite to what Aslan told our ancestors shortly after he had formed them out of the earth and, in the case of the Talking Sea Beasts like the Dolphins, seabed silt before he commanded them to go forth and reproduce," said Beaver.

"'For out of the Dumb Beasts you were taken and into them you shall return' if you behave like them," said Kushanku, quoting from the Genesis book of Narnia's history written by Gandalf, the father of all the Kitsune species and the First Narnia Chronicler as appointed by Aslan, "Indeed. That ALWAYS comes to mind every time I remember and think about that HORRIBLE event."

The Beaver couple nodded in agreement. Suddenly, a heavy crash exploded from up the stairs, seizing the trio's attention in the direction. A look of dread was thrown on Kushanku's face.

"Is His Majesty okay!?" the Nekomata told the Beaver couple before immediately twisting his tail branches and launching into his signature tail propeller flight up the stairs. The Beavers tore after him. As the trio disappeared up the stairs, Alestomeria came by in time to see the three rush up there. Immediately, the Kitsune Vixen followed. Kushanku and the Beavers reached the top of the stairs and hurried into the Kings' bedroom where the crash sounded but the moment they entered the doorway, they were greeted with a dreadful sight. Lying on the floor at the foot of one of the beds, a male human, or Son of Adam lay on his front. His right arm was extended past his head and his face was on its right cheek. The skin of his face was coloured a dreadful sickly green colour, like the green of nausea, the same feeling Kushanku remembered feeling when he saw the gory bloodbath of the White Witch's Massacre Even he had once seen during the Age of Winter as an unfortunately young Nekomata kit. The Son of Adam's magnificent crown lay discarded from his head about a metre away, tossed aside like a dish on the floor. The crashing sound had been from some ornaments placed on a set of drawers between High King Peter and King Edmund's beds and the Son of Adam must have knocked them over when he fell, the ornaments lay scattered in fragments on the floor by his body. HORROR exploded within Kushanku.

"HIGH KING PETER!" the Nekomata cried and with that, he darted over to the collapsed High King Peter, touched down beside him and seized his head and upper body in his paws. The Beavers also gathered around.

"MRS BEAVER, GET THE MEDICS UP HERE IMMEDIATELY" barked Beaver to his wife. The She-Beaver nodded and rushed off to fetch said group. On her way out, she almost collided with a magnificent metallic ivory and yellow Fox with nine shining tails behind her rump as she rushed into the Kings' room. Kushanku then gently turned High King Peter's greened face upward and placed a paw on his forehead to check his temperature while Beaver checked his pulse by placing two paw fingers on the carotid artery area of the King's neck. Then Kushanku removed his paw from the High King's forehead and began to talk to him.

"Your Majesty," shouted the Nekomata Tom into High King Peter's face, his paws holding the High King's head with his face turned ceiling-ward, "Are you OKAY? Can you SPEAK?"

However, the only response he got from High King Peter were garbled mumbles, like those from a dazed, unwell person. Beaver shot Kushanku a look of dread.

"That doesn't sound good," he said. Then a large Vixen with nine tails and ivory and metallic yellow fur rushed in to check the High King's wellbeing.

"Greening of the face," said Alestomeria, her paws on the High King's head sides to keep the head still so that she could examine his face, "Nauseated look, implying..." then a look of UTMOST dread formed on the Kitsune's face.

"Alestomeria," said Beaver.

"WHAT IS IT?" demanded Kushanku desperately. Alestomeria replied with an extremely authoritative and urgent scowl shot at the Nekomata. It was a look of command upon recognition of danger, much like a mother's glare to her children when they were near a dangerous area like a fire.

"GET TO THE KITCHEN and STOP HIGH KING PETER'S BROTHER AND SISTERS' HANDS FROM TOUCHING THAT CAKE!" the Kitsune yelled at the top of her voice, the urgency matching her commanding scowl. Kushanku felt his tails involuntarily twist and his back legs bolt as though they had touched something extremely hot or sharp. Then the Nekomata scrambled into flight, tore out of the Kings' room and rocketed down the stairs in the direction of the kitchen.

In the kitchen, three more humans, High King Peter's younger brother King Edmund and two sisters Queens Susan and Lucy, admired the beautiful cake placed on a plate on the worktop.

"What a beautiful confection," said the middle one, her eyes fixed hungrily on the metallic powdery bakery product, a segment missing, obviously taken out and eaten by High King Peter, "Voltasu certainly was thoughtful in getting us such a beautiful cake."

Then Queen Lucy's eyes found the knife placed nearby. Immediately, she picked it up and prepared to cut a slice out of the confection.

"I'm gonna have a piece," she said as she then pressed the blade into the top of the cake, "Would you two like a slice?"

"Oh, certainly," said Queen Susan in a happy voice as she looked forward to sinking her teeth into the confection.

"Absolutely, lil' sis," said King Edmund. Queen Lucy flashed her brother a slight look at his calling her 'lil sis' before completing the cut by pushing the knife's blade to the bottom and hen taking out the knife. However, before she could scoop up the cut slice with the knife, a Nekomata screech exploded from the entrance to the kitchen.

"PUT THAT CAKE DOWN RIGHT NOW, YOUR MAJESTIES!" the Human trio shot the shouter a look but before they could ask any questions, the shouter, Kushanku, rushed in as a metallic icy blue, grey and white blur, seized the cake in his paws and snatched it away.

"OI!" shouted Queen Susan angrily at having her treat seized.

"KUSHANKU!" barked King Edmund. Queen Lucy looked on angrily but said nothing. Kushanku, his spinning tails holding him in the air and his paws on the cake and its plate, shot the trio an urgent look.

"Sorry to be so rude, Your Majesties," he replied, "But your older brother has just collapsed in the Kings' bedroom. He is green in the face and not well at all and Alestomeria suspected that this cake may have poisoned him."

Dread tore through the three younger siblings of the High King and they exchanged glances. Then the trio launched into a sprint for the Kings' room with Kushanku, his paws still on the cake, following. The commotion soon roused the attention of the other Cair Paravel workers including Pteranodon, Hagrid and the Cherub Stratus and they followed.
