A/N: My first original chapter for SPD is up next.
Please read and review?
Shoutouts:
ctran03931: No, there isn't one, but there is a few who are of Latin decent, including Rocky, Carlos and Tyler.
Unknown: I've fixed that, I couldn't tell the first time.
Whoopie pi: No, it's net. Listen closely to it.
Alvin Croley2: Since he's a different shade from RJ and Kendell, no. Besides, the only elemental powers I can think of that'll work for orange are fire and lighting, which are already taken.

They all then charge at an alien as an explosion goes off behind them, before their numbers are counted down. The Delta Squad Megazord does the Delta Strike. The sirens on the helmets beep, before Jack fires the Canine Cannon, as Sky and Bridge point their hands forward, Z and Syd touch Jack's shoulders, and Val holds the top.

In the Delta Base, Z was reading the SPD Handbook while sitting in the Common Room, while Bridge sat behind her, reading over her shoulder while eating some toast. She closed the book as she heard Bridge chewing behind her.
"What are you doing?" she asked, before she turned around.
"Watching you read." Bridge answered, his mouth full.
"I don't think I wanna ask you why you're watching me read." Z said, disgusted, before she turned back to her book. "But could you at least do it without chomping on your food?"
Bridge kept chewing his toast.
"Toast." he said "Want some?"
Z turned back to him.
"It's buttery." he said, wiggling his right fingers.
"Buttery?" Z asked, wiggling her right fingers.
"Mm." Bridge nodded, eating more toast.
The door opened, and Syd came in.
"Buttery." Bridge said, wiggling his fingers.
"Alright, where is he, Z?" Syd demanded, as she stopped and folded her arms.
Z and Bridge turned to her.
"Jack? Sky?" Z guessed, as Syd looked incredulous. "Cruger? Boom? Grumm? Am I getting close?"
"Peanuts!" Syd said impatiently.
"All out of peanuts, but I got some toast." Bridge said. "Want some? It's buttery."
"No, Peanuts!" Syd scowled. "You know Peanuts, the stuffed animal I've had since I was five."
"You've only had that thing for a year." Z smirked. "Val told me as she was with you when you got it."
"Very funny!" Syd scoffed. "Now what did you do with him?"
"I didn't take your Peanuts." Z swore. "End of conversation."
"But he's gone." Syd said sadly. "Who would've taken him?"
The door opened, then a rooster noise made her turn around, seeing RIC had Peanuts' right arm - which was a stuff elephant - in his mouth.
"NO!" she cried.
She approached RIC angrily and began to pull Peanuts from him, as Z chuckled.
"Good dog." she smirked.
On Grumm's ship, Mora was in her bedroom, having a tea party with Cindy Sunshine.
"Is it hot enough?" she said, holding a toy teapot. "Good."
She put the teapot down, when Grumm entered the room.
"There you are, Mora." he said.
"Did you come to play with me?" Mora asked.
"I need your mind." Grumm explained.
"Fat chance?" Mora scoffed. "I need my mind, and your not getting it."
"I meant, I need you to think of a plan of action." Grumm explained.
Mora picked up a toy cup and pretended to drink out of it, before putting it down.
"Okay, got one." she said, resting her hand on the table, her chin on it. "But, I'm not telling, unless you have tea with Cindy and me."
Grumm laughed hilariously. "I am the Emperor of the Troobian..." he said.
"Empire." Mora finished. "Blah, blah, blah."
"Mora, this gift I gave you, this deal I made, it can all be taken away at my command." Grumm warned.
"Okay, okay, sorry. But who's gonna have a tea party with me?" Mora said.
Broodwing came down from the ceiling and landed near them.
"Good day, my Emperor." he said.
"Yes, Broodwing." Mora grinned.
"Silence, child!" Broodwing spat, approaching the table. "I have business with Grumm."
"And I have a plan for Grumm, and if you don't have tea with me, I'm not telling him." Mora said.
"Fine with me." Broodwing said.
"But not with me." Grumm said. "Sit, Broodwing!"
"I will not." Broodwing argued, turning away.
"Oh, you will! Sit!" Grumm demanded, his eyes glowing.
"Okay, I'm sitting." Broodwing said.
He sat down in the chair opposite Mora.
"Good, Broodwing." Mora said.
She lifted the teapot up and poured into another cup, before putting it down.
"Okay, I'll be the Mommy, Grumm is the Daddy, and Broodwing is our little baby bat." Mora said.
Broodwing grumbled as he turned to her.
"Now, here's my idea." Mora began, as Grumm leaned towards her. "Broodwing gets all the monsters he knows, and brings them..."
Grumm nodded and chuckled, liking this idea, while Broodwing shook his head.
"You're not drinking your tea, Broodwing." Mora sneered.
"I'm not thrusty." Broodwing said.
"Drink it!" Grumm demanded, slamming his hand on the table.
"Okay... I-I-I'm drinking." Broodwing said frantically.
He picked up his cup and put it near his bowled-head.
"Look, see?" he said. "See? Hmm."
He banged it against his bowl.
"Yum." he said, as Mora smiled.
In the alley were Piggy lived, Piggy was with a green alien rhino, with sliver armor - spikes on the shoulders - called Rhinix, who held a long blaster with a container at the back.
"Ah!" Piggy yelped, as he got shoved into a wall.
"You smelly little runt. I know you have that formula, now hand it over!" Rhinix demanded.
"Settle down? I'll give it to you." Piggy promised.
"That's better." Rhinix said.
Piggy fumbled in his clothes and pulled out a corked test tube with black liquid in.
"Here." he said.
Rhinix snatched the tube from him.
"Take it." Piggy said. "Now..."
He walked around Rhinix so they switched places, as Rhinix turned.
"...a little, uh, payment would be apricated." he said.
"Of course." Rhinix said, slipping the tube into the bottom of his blaster. "Here's your payment."
He shot a beam from his blaster, which hit Piggy.
"AHHH!" he yelped, before he turned into a puddle of slime.
Rhinix laughed, before Piggy turned back to normal, shocking him.
"You weren't supposed to turn back! You tricked me!" he accused.
"Well, you turned me into slime!" Piggy argued. "I'm not saying I didn't like it, but we had a deal."
"Rotten eggs." Rhinix said, holding up a box of 12 of them.
"Oh. They smell absolutely putrid." Piggy said, sniffing them. "They'll make a great omelette."
"Then give me the right formula?!" Rhinix demanded.
Piggy took the eggs while holding a test tube with the right formula in.
"But you can't use it on me." he said.
"Deal." Rhinix said.
Piggy gave him the formula.
"There you go." he said, before he sniffed the eggs. "Oh."
A normal Policeman came towards the scene.
"Hey!" he yelled.
Piggy turned near his home.
"Who's out there?" the Cop yelled.
Piggy dived into his home with the eggs, as Rhinix moved away, before the Cop turned to him.
"Ah!" he gasped.
Rhinix laughed and put the tube into his blaster, before he fired it, hitting the Cop, turning him into slime on top of a barrel lid.
"Ah!" Piggy gasped.
Rhinix approached the slime, then put a tube from the end of his blaster on it, sucking it in.
"Oh, yes, it works." he said happily.
The slime went into the container in his blaster as he kept sucking it up.
"Excellent." he said.
Piggy backed into his home and closed the door, finding the scene too much.
The next day, in the Delta Base, Syd was walking towards Sky's and Bridge's room, carrying a magazine.
"Bridge!" she called.
She stepped into the room and looked around, but saw no sign of Bridge, or even Sky.
"8...7...6..."
She looked around and saw Bridge's computer was counting down, while also connected to something.
"...5...4..."
"Why's the computer counting down?" Syd muttered.
"...3...2...1."
Bridge came up behind Syd, his jacket loose.
"Hey, Syd." he said, as she turned around.
"Look out!" Syd exclaimed.
She grabbed him and made him turn, then pulled them both down, as the timer went off, before a slice of toast shot up from the device.
"Toast done."
Both Rangers pulled themselves up, Syd looking in the bedroom.
"What was that for?" Bridge asked.
"Toast? I thought your computer was gonna explode." Syd said.
"Why would I do that?" Bridge asked. "I just amped it up to make toast. Want a piece?"
Syd scoffed. "No. I just came by to give you this." she said, showing him the magazine, which was called 'Extreme Upgrade'.
Bridge took it from her, as RIC ran over to them, making roaster noises.
"Leave me alone?" Syd asked, as he stopped by her legs.
He made chimp sounds as he purred his head near her, before Syd turned to Bridge.
"It was delivered to my room." she said, as Bridge went through the magazine. "I figured it must be yours."
"Finally. My new issue of Extreme Upgrade." Bridge grinned. "Boom and I are gonna upgrade his computer with a super processor. Maybe even a waffle iron."
"So there's a whole magazine about customizing your computer?" Syd inquired sarcastically. "How can I get a subscription?"
"Oh, you can just borrow mine when I'm done with it." Bridge said. "That was sarcasm, wasn't it?"
"Yeah." Syd answered.
RIC made dolphin noises as he moved his head near Syd's leg.
"Stop it!" she scowled, before turning to Bridge. "Doesn't this thing ever run out of batteries? It's always following me?"
"What's the matter? I thought you liked dogs?" Bridge inquired.
"Course I do. My family raises Pedigree Pomeranians. This however, is not a dog." Syd said, as RIC made sheep noises. "It's a glorified appliance."
"Power Rangers, report to the Command Center immediately." Kat ordered.
Syd and Bridge both walked off.
Once in the Command Room, Cruger and the Rangers all stood by a panel together on the right side, before Cruger began to walk off. (Val was on Bridge's left)
"There have been several missing person reports in the industrial area." he explained.
He stopped by the center panel as the Rangers turned to him, while RIC neighed.
"Not now, RIC?" Cruger said, before turning to the Rangers. "I want you to investigate."
"I can check out the area, ask some questions." Syd said.
"Good." Cruger said.
"And we'll monitor for any signs of alien activity." Sky said, as Jack and Val nodded.
RIC began to sparkle as he made elephant noises near Syd's leg.
"What is your problem, rust bucket?" she asked, annoyed.
"Ah, he likes you." Z teased, as the others smiled.
"Yeah. The way he follows you, I think he likes you the most." Val joked.
"Well, I don't. Go away!" Syd ordered.
RIC made chimp noises as he squirted stuff from his nose onto her leg.
"Ah!" she gasped, making Jack and Bridge flinch, as Sky lowered his head. "Stupid robot! Look what he did to my uniform?"
"Get outta the way, RIC?" Cruger ordered.
RIC moved backwards towards Cruger, before he held his right back leg up, then leaked onto Cruger's foot.
"Hm?" Cruger grumbled, looking down.
"Ah!" Syd gasped.
The others all grinned and hid laughter from their faces.
"Don't worry, it's only coolant." Bridge assured.
"He uh, must really like you, Commander." Jack joked.
Sky sniggered as Val put her hand over her mouth to hide her giggles.
"Why do we even keep that malfunction beast around?" Syd questioned. "He's useless, not to mention totally annoying."
She folded her arms and turned to the others, as Cruger approached them.
"Unfortunately, RIC's technology is practically obsolete." he whispered, as RIC make chimp noises. "It won't be long until he will have to deactivated."
Everyone's smiles faded.
"What?" Bridge exclaimed.
"Commander, are you kidding me?" Jack said.
"Yeah, you can't do that!" Val argued.
"Well, if you ask me, he's been ready for the scrapheap for a while now." Syd said.
"Syd, that's pretty cold, even for you." Z said.
"You heard the Commander, he's outdated." Syd said.
"Okay, RIC may not be perfect, but he's still part of the SPD family." Bridge defended.
"Yeah." Jack nodded.
"It's a machine, not a pet." Syd said.
"Syd, that's not the point." Val argued. "He's still family despite that."
"Val, he's a robot. It's broke so we replace it." Syd said. "If it's a matter of money, I'm sure my father would be happy to write a cheque."
Z and Val scoffed as the boys chuckled.
"Whatever people. I've got work to do." Syd said, before she walked off.
Jack folded her arms as everyone turned to her.
"A veces, odio esa actitud de princesa que tiene." Val mumbled, folding her arms.
Later, Syd drove a jeep down a street in the city, before she pulled it over in the industrial area, when she heard a baa. She turned around, she saw RIC had stowed away in the back.
"What are you doing here?" she demanded. "I do not need you messing up my investigation. You stay in here, got it?!"
RIC made an animal noise as Syd got out, and began to look around.
Elsewhere, in the city, Rhinix was chasing several people, who ran away screaming. He laughed as he stopped and held up his blaster.
"You're not going anywhere!" he roared.
He aimed and fired it, hitting two men, who turned around near a bench near a tree, turning them both into slime, one on the bench, the other on the wall near it. He laughed as he approached them, then put the end of his blaster on the slime on the bench.
"I'll take that." he said, sucking it up into his container.
The other Rangers all arrived on their vehicles - Z in another jeep - all morphed as they pulled them over, their sirens wailing. (Val was on Sky's left)
"Looks like trouble." Jack said.
Z got out of the jeep as the others got off their bikes, as people began to run past them all.
"Come on." Jack said.
"Run!" a girl screamed.
Rhinix turned as the Rangers all approached him. (Val was between Jack and Bridge)
"Hold it right there!" they yelled, stopping.
"Who's gonna make me?" Rhinix snarled, punching his fist.
"1, SPD Red!"
"2, SPD Blue!"
"3, SPD Green!"
"4, SPD Yellow!"
"6, SPD Purple!"
"Meet my friends." Rhinix said, holding up a Krybot sphere.
He tossed it up, which shattered, then dozens of Krybots landed on the ground.
"Gear up, Rangers." Jack said.
He brought out his blasters, crossing his forearms over, then Sky brought out his blade, as Bridge brought out his knuckle, then Z and Val brought out their blades.
"Let's do it!" Jack said.
They all charged forward as the Krybots charged back.
Jack spun around to kick one, but missed as it ducked, then he ducked and spun around to tackle another, but missed as it jumped up. Sky and Z both stopped by several of them, while Val tried to stab ones chest, but missed as it dodged, before she rolled away, as Bridge nearly hit one with his knuckle.
Sky held his forearms up to block a punch from two, then he knocked their arms up and jumped and split kicked them both.
Val blocked ones bladed arm with her blade, before she kicked its chest, then she spun around and slashed another two across the chest with it.
Jack somersaulted sideways and fired his right blaster, hitting ones chest, then he spun around and tackled another.
"Delta Blaster!" he shouted, firing the left one.
The blasts hit two Krybots, knocking them down.
"Whoa!" Z yelped, as she ducked and spun around, as one ran past and tried to punch her.
She kicked another's arm away, then slashed a third's chest with her blade.
Bridge jumped slightly and kicked against the wall near the bench, before he turned around and kicked ones hand. He landed on his feet, then turned to another and whacked its chest with his knuckle, then he turned and whacked the first's with it.
"Huh?" Rhinix muttered, turning away from a wall.
The five Rangers all ran towards him. (Val was on Sky's left)
"There he is." Z said, as they stopped.
They all charged at Rhinix, who held his right arm up.
"Not so fast." he said.
He threw four boomerangs at the Rangers.
"Whoa!" they yelped.
"¡Ay!" Val yelped.
Sky skidded down onto his back as Bridge rolled onto his, while Z, Jack and Val all ducked down, making the boomerangs miss them. Jack and the girls got up and turned around, then Jack fired his blasters, hitting two boomerangs as they came back at them.
"Got them." he said, as they hit the ground.
Sky got up as the girls turned around, while Bridge turned to Jack, who spun around 360 degrees and ducked, crossing his forearms over as he fired again, hitting the last two boomerangs.
"Yeah." he said, as they hit the ground.
He turned around as Rhinix charged at him.
"Whoa!" he yelped.
Rhinix slashed him down the chest with his hand, then he knocked Bridge's hand as Bridge tried to hit him with his knuckle, before he rammed Bridge with his horn.
"Ah!" Bridge moaned.
Z came at Rhinix, who slashed her chest with his hand, then he grabbed Val's forearm as she tried to stab him with her blade, before he slashed her down the chest, knocking her away. Sky tried to slash him, but his blade got caught on his shoulder, then he laughed and raised Sky's blade up, before punching his chest, knocking him away.
"AH!" Sky moaned.
He hit the ground and rolled over, as the others gathered around him, all clutching their chests.
"Whoa!" he yelped.
"You'll never stop me." Rhinix sneered.
He turned and ran off as the Rangers began to run after him, before they stopped as they lost him, Bridge helping Sky along.
Back in the industrial area, Syd approached Piggy's home, passing a grate with stream coming out of it.
"Uh!" she said, disgusted.
She put her forearm over her nose as she kept walking.
"Ew!" she said, looking around. "Oh! Oh!"
Once at Piggy's home, she knocked on it with her foot.
"Piggy, can I talk to you for a minute?" she asked.
Piggy opened up his door and looked at her, before taking sunglasses off his eyes.
"Well, if it isn't the little SPD Princess?" he said, sniffing her. "I thought I smelled something clean."
"It's called soap." Syd said, freaking him out. "You should try it sometime."
"Please?" Piggy begged.
"People have been reported missing in this area." Syd explained. "I need to know if you saw anything unusual last night?"
"Oh, let's see?" Piggy said, as he began to think. "A three-headed Sorarin, eating a car. Verma, the worm woman, out walking her snail. No, nothing unusual."
Syd took out a bottle of deodorant.
"AH!" Piggy gasped, falling back. "What's that?"
"Deodorant." Syd answered.
"Put that away?" Piggy demanded. "Maybe I do remember some little skirmish last night."
Syd smiled and pulled her hand back.
"Check out over there?" he said, pointing to his right.
Syd turned and walked off, before she found some slime left over from the Cop Rhinix had turned, which was still on the manhole cover.
"Hmm? Green slime?" she muttered.
She crouched down near it and took out a syringe.
"Kat should have a look at this." she said, sucking it up.
Broodwing peeked out from behind a wall and stared at her.
"I don't think so." he said.
He held up a Krybot sphere, then tossed it up.
"Huh?" Syd muttered, looking up.
The sphere shattered, then dozens of Krybots landed on the ground, as Syd got up and put her syringe away, then she charged at them.
She ducked and ran past one as it nearly whacked her, then kicked her feet on a board, before she jumped and landed near another as it almost hit her. She did a sideways handspring past it, then blocked a kick from it with her left arm, before she moved back and ducked to avoid another's punch, before she spun around and kicked a third's chest, knocking it down. She spun around and tackled the second, flipping it up onto its back, before a third kicked her hands hard, knocking her away, making her turn around.
"Ah!" she moaned, hitting a barrel.
Two Krybots grabbed her from behind and pulled her away, before she raised her arms up and broke free of them, making them stumble away. She kicked ones chest, knocking it up onto its chest, while a third came over to punch her, but missed as she ducked, then she jumped slightly as a fourth tried to trip her up, before she spun around and stopped near some barrels. She rolled backwards over them, then stared at the Krybots, as two fired their arm lasers at her, before RIC arrived and jumped up.
"Oh!" she gasped.
RIC dived in front of her and took the blasts, who hit the ground on his side, as sparks and electric came out of him, making rooster noises. Syd turned and glared at the Krybots with anger, before she put her hand on two bricks.
"Fist of stone!" she shouted, as she absorbed the hardness of the bricks.
She held up her fist.
"Hyah!" she yelled, slamming it into a barrel, bending it open.
She whacked the end of it, sending it flying away, where it hit one Krybot, which fell onto the others, making them all sparkle. They all hit the ground, then vanished, before Syd approached RIC.
"Oh, no. What did they do to you?" she said horrified, crouching down.
She looked at RIC, feeling sad, for despite him having annoyed her, she now felt grateful to him for saving her life.
"RIC?" she said.
Later, in the Delta Base, Kat was sitting by her computer in her lab, as a light shined over the bowl the slime Syd had brought back, which scanned it. The bowl was on the table, which Jane stood by, getting readings from a scanner, which also appeared on the computer.
"Hmm?" Kat muttered. "Interesting."
"You getting these readings too, Kat?" Jane asked. "This is weird."
"It sure is." Kat agreed.
She pressed a button on it, as Cruger came towards her.
"Hmm? What is it, Ms. Manx?" he asked.
"I'm not sure." Kat said. "Some sort of praetorian based energy fluid, but there are defiantly traces of Human DNA."
"Hmm?" Cruger muttered. "Cadet Bailey, your thoughts?"
"I'm...not sure, sir." Jane said. "I've never seen these kind of readings."
The door opened and Syd came in, as Jane approached them.
"Well done, Cadet Drew." Cruger said. "This could help us find those missing people."
"You did well getting it back, Syd." Jane said.
"Thanks. But I wouldn't have been able to bring it back if it weren't for RIC." Syd explained. "How is he?"
Kat and Cruger turned to each other, then back to Syd and Jane.
"I'm afraid the damage was extensive." Kat explained.
"And most of his parts aren't even made anymore." Cruger added.
"What are you saying?" Syd asked.
"Can you please verify, sir?" Jane asked.
"It was a difficult decision but, we had to deactivate him." Cruger explained. "I'm sorry."
Syd turned around and left the lab sadly, as Jane turned to her.
"Guess there's nothing that could've been done?" she assumed, turning back.
"Yes. Cadet Bailey, take some other analysts and get over to the scene the Rangers encountered that alien." Cruger instructed. "I have a feeling there's a connection between him and the slime."
"Yes, sir." Jane understood, saluting.
She turned around and walked out of the room.
A little later, Syd was walking down a hallway, when she turned left, and saw a tall Cadet in grey walking towards her, pushing a cart with RIC's remains. She saw them as he past by her, making her stop.
"Hold it, Cadet?" she said.
"Yes, sir." the Cadet said, stopping, before he turned to her. "Uh, ma'am."
"What are you doing?" Syd asked.
"Taking some cyber junk, old computer parts, stuff like that, to the recycling center." the Cadet explained.
"Recycling as in 'Crushing, melting into something else'?" Syd inquired.
"Yes, ma'am." the Cadet confirmed.
"Stand back, Cadet?" Syd asked.
The Cadet moved back slightly as Syd looked at RIC's parts, before an idea came to her.
"Cadet, did you sort the Earth metals from the galactic metals?" she asked.
"Um, no." the Cadet replied.
"The Earth plastics from the protein inhibitor plastics?" Syd asked.
"I-" the Cadey began.
"The glass from the ultra glass?" Syd asked.
"I didn't know." the Cadet said.
"I'll take over from here Cadet." Syd said. "You can go back to the SPD Manual chapter on recycling. Carry on?"
"But, I-" the Cadet began.
"What part of 'carry on' don't you understand?" Syd said.
"Yes, ma'am." the Cadet said.
He turned and walked off back the way he came, before Syd pushed the cart away.
Meanwhile, Bridge and Boom were in the former's bedroom, Bridge standing upside down against a wall, while Boom had tried to do the same, but had to put his feet on Sky's bed.
"Remind me again why this is the best way to solve a problem?" he asked.
"Gravity causes ideas to go downward to your head." Bridge answered. "That way, your brain can kinda soak 'em up better."
"Oh." Boom said, chuckling nervously. "Okay."
"Bridge, get off your butt?" Syd asked, entering the room, before she saw him. "Or your head?"
Bridge put his down and stood up, as Boom put his feet down and fell onto his chest.
"I have a project for you guys." Syd explained, as Bridge turned to her.
"What? What's going on?" Bridge asked.
"How would you and Boom like to do the ultimate extreme upgrade?" Syd asked, as Boom got up.
Both boys turned to each other, before Bridge nodded and turned back to Syd.
Later, both men were in the lab, wearing lab coats, goggles and face masks, standing over a table that had RIC's remains on.
"Pliers?" Bridge asked.
A laptop on another table showed the diagrams for RIC, as Boom handed Bridge the pliers.
Syd - wearing a lab coat and face shield - held a blowtorch to part of RIC's body, before she put it down. As she did, Bridge opened up a hatch on another part, showing tiny stuffed animals, which he pulled out one by one. Syd walked away from the piece she was working on, then lifted her face shield up.
"Ah." she sighed, folding her arms.
RIC's eyes glowed, flashing the words 'Dog mode only'.
On Grumm's ship, Grumm and Mora were in the control room, Mora sitting down where a line of aliens stood, including Rhinix. Also there, was one resembling Izout, a one called Parsnippity, who had a white armored body, Deviot's head, and Tankenstein's boots, and a scaly alien called Scaleface, who was bald, had long ears, sharp nails, and a outfit with scales on.
"Next!" Grumm said.
Parasnippity came towards him.
"My plan is to turn Humans into Parsnips and plant them in the ground." he explained.
Grumm turned to Mora, who shook her head, then he threw Parasnippity away.
"AHH!" he yelled, before he vanished over a railing.
Mora smikred as Scaleface approached Grumm nervously.
"I'm thinking evil hand puppets." he said.
Grumm growled and held his staff near him.
"AHH!" he screamed, before he vanished into dust.
Grumm snarled as Rhinix approached him, holding a container full of slime.
"Emperor." he said.
"This one better be good." Grumm spat, turning to Mora. "Your plan, remember?"
More hummed and nodded.
"For you." Rhinix said.
Grumm took the container and looked at it.
"Slime? You bring me, slime?" he questioned.
"My emperor, this is energy fluid, made from a most interesting source, Human." Rhinix explained.
"Nice." Mora admitted, nodding.
Back in the Delta Base, Kat worked with other Cadets on the wall panels, as Cruger began pacing in front of the Rangers - expect Bridge. (Val stood on Z's right)
"Many more people have disappeared. This has become a city wide crisis." Cruger explained. "I've got the crime lab checking out all the areas of the city to find a trace or a connection."
He stopped near Sky, noticing Bridge was missing.
"Where is Cadet Carson?" he asked.
Sky turned left, seeing Bridge was absent, before the door opened, as Bridge and Boom came in, getting everyone's attention as Cruger growled.
"Ladies and gentlemen..." Boom began.
"And assorted extra-terrestrials." Bridge added, pointing at a fish alien who passed them.
"May we present..." Boom said, as they stopped.
"RIC version 2.0." they said together.
A rebuilt RIC came into the room, shocking the other Rangers, who smiled nonetheless.
"Yay!" Syd said, running towards them. "I knew you guys could do it."
Val and Z turned to each other.
"I thought she hated RIC?" Z whispered.
"So did I." Val said.
Syd stopped as the others and Cruger approached her.
"Oh, you have no idea?" Boom said. "Check out his mad new skills."
"Okay..." Bridge began, rubbing his hands. "...you got your basic CD/DVD player, a projector, a refrigerator."
It opened up, showing a can of soda.
"Amusing new additions. I'm sure he would be great fun at a party, but he isn't an aspect to SPD." Cruger said, as all but Syd stared at him.
They all turned back to Bridge and Boom, Sky nodding slightly.
"Au contraire, mon commandare." Boom said in French. "I amped up like his...his weapons systems."
"And I upgraded his surveillance capabilities and I installed a new tracking software." Bridge added. "His sensor capability should be off the chain."
"Then he can help us find more of this stuff." Syd said hopefully, taking out the syringe she'd put the slime in.
"Uh..." Boom stuttered.
He and Bridge looked at each other, then at the others.
"Yeah. Uh, the thing is, we haven't really had a chance to test the new program." Bridge explained.
Sky folded his arms as Syd held the syringe near RIC's nose.
"Come on, RIC?" she asked. "Find it?"
She held the syringe up as RIC's eyes lit up, before he barked and ran towards the door, smashing a hole in it as everyone watched.
"Whoa!" Boom said.
"Um..." Bridge stuttered.
They both turned around and shrugged, while Cruger growled, Sky frowned, as the others looked speechless.
"Something you didn't expect?" Val assumed.
"Yeah." Bridge answered.
Later, RIC ran down a city in the street, as the Rangers chased after them, Jack and Bridge in the back of the jeep with Syd and Z, who drove it.
"Don't lose him, Z?" Syd asked, as Jack and Bridge looked at each other.
RIC began to speed up as the Rangers kept chasing after him, before his eyes scanned a field area. He stopped in the middle of it, then sniffed the ground, as the Rangers pulled their vehicles over nearby, Sky and Val taking off their helmets, as the others got in front of the jeep.
"There, he found something." Syd said, pointing at RIC. "Good job, boy."
She ran ahead of the others slightly, as RIC turned and barked, then she turned around. She ran towards the jeep as the others stared at her, before she took out a shovel, then ran past them all towards RIC.
"Come on?" she said.
Val and Z turned to each other.
"Talk about a 180 in attitude." Val whispered.
"Uh-huh." Z agreed. "What happened to the Syd who hated RIC?"
Syd stopped by RIC.
"Is this the spot?" she asked.
RIC beeped as she began to dig away, as the others all watched.
After 15 minutes of digging, the others all came towards Syd, who's digging had only reached past her ankles, with the dug dirt in a pile near her.
"Come on, Syd, give it up?" Jack said.
"Just a few more minutes?" Syd asked.
"I hate to say it, but he obviously wasn't able to trace the scent." Z said.
"We're not sure of that yet." Syd argued.
"I told you, Syd, we didn't have enough time to test the program." Bridge explained, crouching down. "Guess he's still kinda buggy."
RIC barked, making Syd stop digging and look at him.
"But he seems so sure." she said.
"Well, there's no use in all of us wasting our time out here." Sky said.
"For once, I agree with you." Val said. "This obviously isn't the spot."
"Thank you. Come on, guys." Sky said.
All but Syd and Bridge walked off towards the vehicles, as Bridge turned to RIC.
"Come on, RIC?" he asked, patting his knee.
RIC lowered his head sadly and walked off, lowering his tail.
Syd shook her head and resumed digging, determined to prove RIC was right.
Later, back at the Delta Base, as rain began pouring heavily outside, the Rangers and Cruger were all in the Command Room with RIC.
"I don't know what happened." Bridge admitted, standing near RIC.
He walked off slightly.
"Something in his mainframe must've had a glitch." he deduced, as he turned and paced, folding his arms.
"It's okay, Bridge. RIC will still make a good pet." Z said.
Jack moved towards RIC as his hatch opened up, then he took out a soda can.
"Even if he isn't exactly SPD martial." he said, opening it.
Z grinned as he began to drink, as Sky and Val looked at RIC, who moaned. The door opened up and Jane came in, making them all turn to her, before she stopped near Bridge.
"So, RIC really is back?" she asked. "I ran into Boom and he told me."
"Yeah, it's true." Bridge said. "But I think he's still glitchy."
"Cadet Bailey, you have something to report?" Cruger asked.
"Yes, sir." Jane said. "We've found slime at all the scenes of the disappearances. There's definitely a connection between them, sir, as we've analysed another sample, and it has Human DNA in it."
"Well, I can see why Syd's so determined to dig out in the rain then." Val joked.
Cruger glared at her, making her move away slightly.
"Good work, Cadet Bailey." he said, turning to Jane.
"Thank you, sir." Jane said.
Back in the field, Syd was still digging her way through the field, muddy puddles now around the area, including the hole, which made it harder for her.
"Ah! Ah!" she gritted, as she kept digging. "Ah! AH!"
She wiped some sweat off her forehead, then dug some more, before she wiped more sweat off her.
"Phew." she sighed.
The ground beneath her began to shake wildly.
"Ah! AHH!" she screamed.
She fell down into the hole she'd dug, landing in a underground cave on her back.
"Ah!" she moaned.
She sat up and looked around, her uniform and hair ruined from the rain. She soon spotted a several shelves of containers, all filled with slime Rhinix had used, which she approached.
"Oh my goodness?" she said, looking around. "Wow!"
She approached a shelf and picked up one of the containers.
"I knew it. RIC was right." she said happily.
She soon began to climb out of the hole, the rain now having stopped.
"Ah! Ah!" she gritted, putting her hands on the edge. "Ah!"
She pulled herself up and out of the hole, before she got up to her feet.
"I am so going to the spa when this is over." she sighed.
She took out her morpher, when Rhinix showed up.
"You're so not going anywhere." he said, getting her attention.
"Okay, I'm filthy, cranky, and my new shoes are trashed." Syd said, looking at them briefly. "Do you really wanna mess with me?"
Rhinix began charging at her.
"SPD Emergency!"
(Morph sequence)
Syd pressed her morpher's button, shooting out the hologram of her suit, before back flipped away as she morphed up. She landed crouched down, then her helmet appeared on her, then she did her fight pose.
"SPD Pink!"
(End morph sequence)
Syd jumped and dived towards Rhinix, who ducked, making her roll over his back.
"Whoa!" she yelped.
She put her feet on the ground, then turned around and tried to punch her, but he grabbed her forearm, then he kicked her away.
"WHOA!" she yelled.
She hit the ground on a mound hill, which she rolled down until she reached the bottom.
"You want more of the same?" Rhinix sneered, pointing at her.
"Time for some backup." Syd dediced.
She took out her morpher and got up, opening it up in 'phone' mode, before Rhinix charged at her and rammed her with his horn, sending her flying away, along with her morpher.
"Forget it!" he growled.
She hit her back against a tank, as her morpher hit the ground in a puddle.
"Uh!" she moaned, hitting the ground.
"Looks like you're on your own." Rhinix sneered.
He fired a blast from his left hand, which hit Syd as she got up, making sparks come out of the ground and her suit.
"Whoa! AHH!" she yelled, getting knocked up.
In the Delta Base, RIC's ears rose up as his eyes glowed, as everyone looked at him, Jack now finished with the soda.
"Whoa! What's going on?" Z wondered.
"You have any ideas, Bridge?" Val asked.
"The sensors are all probably messed up." Bridge deduced.
The alarm went off, making everyone turn to a left screen, seeing Syd getting knocked up by Rhinix's blast.
"Syd needs help." Jack said.
RIC ran off and smashed a hole in the wall - the same spot as last time - making everyone turn to it.
"¿De nuevo?" Val exclaimed.
Cruger growled as the Rangers ran off, leaving Jane puzzled.
"I just had that fixed." Cruger grumbled.
"Maybe the door needs an adjustment added on, sir." Jane suggested.
"Perhaps." Cruger sighed.
RIC ran away from the base as quickly as he could.
In the field, Syd was sent flying away.
"WHOA!" she yelled.
She hit the ground on her back, her right arm first, as Rhinix stared at her.
"You Rangers are useless." he said. "Why don't you just give up?"
"Everyone thought RIC was useless too!" Syd told him, getting up. "But he came back strong. If he can do it, so can I!"
She took out her blade and charged at him.
"Yah!" she yelled.
Rhinix fired lasers from his left hand, which hit the ground as she charged at him, making sparks come up from it, before she jumped up. She dived down and slashed him down the chest, then across the chest, but then he blocked one with his left arm, before he punched her.
"WHOA!" she yelled, flying away.
She hit the ground on her left side, before rolling onto her back, then got onto her knees.
"Time to finish this game." Rhinix sneered.
He laughed as he approached Syd, who turned and sat back, backing away from him. She held up her blade, just as RIC arrived and barked, dashing towards them.
"Huh?" Rhinix muttered, turning around.
RIC jumped and dashed right past him, hitting him, making him spin around and fall onto his back.
"Didn't see that coming." he mumbled.
Syd looked up as RIC landed in front of her, facing Rhinix.
"RIC?" she said.
"Who invited you?" Rhinix snarled, getting up.
RIC barked and jumped towards him as Syd got up, before he bit Rhinix's left arm.
"Ah! Get off!" he demanded, waving around. "Oh!"
Syd combined her blade with her knuckle, as RIC let go of Rhinix.
"Deltamax Blaster!" she shouted, holding it up.
She aimed and fired it, hitting Rhinix's chest, knocking him back.
"Ah!" he moaned. "Horn field, fire!"
He bent down and fired a horn missile from his back, which hit the ground near Syd, but missed as she jumped up.
"Huh?" he muttered, looking up.
"Hyah!" Syd yelled, as she gilded around him.
She fired her blaster, hitting him three times.
"Ah!" he moaned.
Syd spun around and took her blaster apart, before she dived towards Rhinix, slicing his main horn off as she did.
"AHH!" he moaned, as red lighting came out of him. "AH!"
His horn flew off as Syd landed crouched down.
"My horn!" he cried, falling onto his back. "My beautiful horn!"
Syd got up and turned around to him, putting her blade and knuckle away, as the other Rangers arrived and pulled over, Jack, Z and Bridge in cars instead of a jeep or their bikes.
"Oh, get over it." she said.
She approached RIC as the others got out/of their vehicles, before she crouched down.
"Good teamwork, boy." she said, stroking his head
"Looks like RIC sensed she needed help." Z deduced.
Sky turned right and ran off, stopping by Syd's morpher.
"You're right." he said, crouching down and picking it up. "She wasn't able to call us."
"I'm not finished yet!" Rhinix growled.
Syd got up and turned to him, as the others gathered around her.
"I got this one." she said.
She held up her blaster, when Jack held his hand out.
"Hold it, Syd? Why don't we let RIC take it from here?" he suggested, holding a metal bone.
"What?" Syd questioned.
"RIC, fetch it boy?" Jack said.
He tossed the bone up, which RIC jumped up to, before he bit it. His back end rotated 180 degrees, then his back legs folded down, while his tail began a handle, then his front legs rose up, then cannons rose up from them, before the Rangers all caught him.
"How cool is that?" Bridge asked.
"A Canine Cannon? I love it." Syd said, clapping her hands.
"You'll pay for destroying my horn!" Rhinix swore.
Syd ran forward with her morpher, as the others aimed the Canine Cannon at him, Sky and Bridge crouching down, while Jack held the trigger, with Z and Val holding his shoulders.
"I think that it's you that's gonna pay!" she said. "Let's see what the Judgement scanner says about you?"
She held up her morpher in 'Judgement' mode.
"Huh?" Rhinix gasped.
"Judgement mode!" Syd shouted.
She pressed the button, opening it up, starting the red X blue 0 sequence, as the clock came around Rhinix. The X and 0 didn't show up on Syd's morpher, as the others saluted, Jack, Val and Bridge with their left arms, before the X flashed up on Syd's morpher.
"Guilty!" Syd declared.
"What?" Rhinix gasped.
Syd saluted and moved towards the others, before she touched Val's left shoulder.
"Let's do it." Jack said, grabbing the top of RIC.
"NOOOO!" Rhinix roared.
"Canine Cannon..." Syd began.
"Fire!" Jack yelled, pulling the trigger.
"Yeah!" the others said, pointing their free hands forward.
A blast came out of each cannon, which hit Rhinix.
"AHH!" he moaned, as lighting came out of him.
Sparks came out of him as well, before he seemingly blew up.
(Underground)
The containers all lay on the floor, smashed open, before the slime turned back into all the captured people, including the Cop.
"Ah!" a girl moaned.
Some began to help the others off as they ran off.
(The surface)
They all began to run off, with the Cop directing them all.
"This way everybody!" he said, as more passed him, one of which had Teska's head.
"Keep going." a man said.
Syd held up a containment card Rhinix was now in, as the other Rangers looked at them.
"Hey, let me out?" he demanded.
"Not a chance." Syd said.
She put it away.
"Power down!" she said.
She turned to RIC as he barked, then she ran towards him, before she crouched beside him.
"I guess that makes us even, huh, RIC?" she asked, stroking him.
RIC barked happily.
Later, the Rangers were in the Common Room of the Delta Base.
"Another case solved by the brilliant B-Squad." Jack joked, with a British cockney accent, before he clapped.
"Nice accent." Val teased, punching him playfully.
"I knew RIC would come through for us." Syd said happily, whacking Bridge playfully.
"But don't forget, you came through for him too." Z said.
Jack and Val both pointed at Syd, who nodded.
"Power Rangers, report to the Command Center immediately." Kat ordered.
"Now what did we do?" Jack mumbled, as they walked off.
A little later, the Rangers, Boom, Jane and many other Cadets all stood facing Cruger, Kat and RIC in the Command Room, RIC with a medal on his head.
"For extraordinary service in the line of duty, a special commendation to our Robotic Interactive Canine RIC, a most valuable member of the SPD team." Cruger declared.
Everyone clapped and cheered.
"Yeah." a girl said.
"Wahoo!" a few boys whooped.
"RIC version 2.0 is great, but you know, I kinda miss the old RIC." Syd admitted.
"Well, we didn't change all his programming." Bridge assured, turning to Boom, then to Cruger. "There's still some old RIC left in there."
"I can verify that to be true, Cadets." Cruger assured.
Everyone saw coolant near his right foot, which he shook, making them all laugh, Z, Val and Jane all covering their mouths.
