At the Fenton works, it was just the teenagers today. Jack and Maddie were currently out on patrol for any rogue ghosts and Desiree was at the fountain to grant any possible wishes, leaving the teens to their own devices.
Right now, Sam watered the tulips that Danny had sent her. Even though she was still confused as to why he sent her pink flowers of all things, they were still from Danny and she would take care of them.
"So why doesn't Sam just take her flowers home with her?" asked Kitty, wondering why Sam was keeping the tulips at the Fenton residence.
"Sam's folks hate Danny," explained Tucker with a grimace. "They never liked him and even after his Phantom identity was revealed to the world they still don't like him."
This just confused Kitty even further. "But Danny is the hero of the world."
"My parents are your stereotypical rich people," added Sam in a deadpan tone. "To them, Danny and his family are beneath them. Luckily, me and Grandma Ida have common sense."
"I'm surprised you never revealed your money status before, Sam," said Valerie. "It would have gotten Paulina off your back a lot sooner."
"Yeah and then that shallow witch would want to be my "friend" just because I'm rich. I'd rather have her as an enemy than as a friend."
"I still can't believe Danny had a thing for her," stated Kitty, remembering when she possessed the queen bee Latina. "He can do so much better than her."
"I can definitely see what he saw in her," added Johnny with a smirk. This of course earned him a punch to the arm and a glare from his girlfriend. "Ow!"
"Over my free floating soul will Danny get with that whore," hissed out the biker chick, giving off protective big sister vibes.
"For once I'm in agreement with Kitty," stated Jazz, also glaring at Johnny. "I don't want Danny anywhere near Paulina. Luckily, he finally got it through his head a while back what type of person Paulina is and wants nothing to do with her now."
Still rubbing his arm, Johnny shirked away from the glares that Kitty and Jazz were still giving him. "Okay, okay, I get it! This Paulina chick is bad news!"
While the two women were still dealing with Johnny, Tucker glanced over at Sam, who had a scowl on her face. He didn't need to be a genius to know that the idea of Danny and Paulina together was something that ticked her off to no end.
Luckily, the young mayor's phone chimed with a new message from Danny. Too bad the luck was short lived once Tucker opened the message.
Hey, everyone! On this next stop I guess you could say I went on a little "spiritual journey", ha.
The others just rolled their eyes at the bad pun before Tucker opened the file containing the photos. This batch consisted of the Democracy Monument, Wat Arun, the Reclining Buddha of Wat Pho, the Grand Palace, and Siam Paragon.
Everyone had blank looks on their faces, not expecting Danny to have gone to Bangkok of all places, but Sam was currently shaking in anger. She knew what Bangkok was known for, so why did Danny go there to begin with?!
Whipping out her phone, the Goth dialed a number she knew by heart and seethed as she waited for the other end to pick up.
"Hey, Sam."
"Danny!" yelled Sam, causing everyone to jump in surprise. "What the hell was going through your head when you decided to go to Bangkok?!"
"Oh I'm doing fine, Sam, thanks for asking. How about you?" replied the Halfa, deadpan.
"Don't get smart with me, Danny," hissed out the Goth girl. "Why did you go to Bangkok? You KNOW what it's known for!"
"And you know I wouldn't do anything like that."
"The temptation is still there, Danny!"
"Seriously, Sam? I'm not weak willed, you know."
"I still don't like the idea of you being in that kind of place!"
"Damn it, Sam, I…h-hey!"
Sam was confused by the sudden yelp from Danny, but tensed when a new voice spoke.
"Aye, cailin, what ye be doin' all that yellin' fer?" asked a female voice with an Irish accent.
Sam narrowed her eyes, jealousy filling her body. "Who is this?"
"I be a tourist who was passin' by and could hear ya loud 'n clear. In fact, I think they could hear ya all the way back home on the Emerald Isle."
"So what? And who do you think you are taking my friend's phone?!"
"The boyo be yer friend, ay? Last I checked friends trusted each other and it sounds like ye don't trust him to make the right decisions."
"Wh-What? Th-That's not true! I trust Danny very much!" exclaimed Sam, not liking how this complete stranger was giving her the third degree.
"Doesn't sound like it. I'm lookin' at the boyo right now and he don't look like the type to partake in the activities this city is known fer. So I suggest ye take a very, VERY long look in the mirror before ye start accusin' yer supposed friend of things ye should know he wouldn't do!" replied the Irish girl with a hint of venom.
The next thing Sam knew was the line disconnecting. She stared at the phone, wide-eyed, wondering what the hell just happened.
"Wow, getting called out by a complete stranger. That's a new one," said Tucker, just as surprised as Sam.
This only earned him a glare from the Goth girl.
INTERLUDE END

You can probably guess who the Irish girl was. More on that will be expanded on next chapter. And no, Ireland won't be the next stop on the world tour.
