"When I first woke up."
The air was tense, but Kagome did not seem to care as she stared bluntly at Toshinori, clearly eyeing his withered form with a fierce intensity that Hawks did not like.
"'When you first woke up'?" Aizawa repeated, raising a brow, "And what does that mean exactly?" He asked outright, always the one to get to the point.
"Exactly what it means," Kagome answered, looking a little more impassive, "I simply woke up one day. I don't have the majority of my memories. I feel... pain whenever I try to remember them," She said almost reluctantly, "I was found by the Hero Public Safety Commission and was used by them whenever they needed."
Hawks sighed, leaning back in his chair, "Miko-chan, you're not obligated to say anything, you know," He said, earning looks from the Pro Heroes in the room, to which he rolled his eyes at, "What? She's really not, you know. This is classified info. She doesn't have to tell you anything."
"Hawks is right," Toshinori rubbed his blond hair and Hawks narrowed his eyes when Kagome seemed to perk up when the former No. 1 Hero spoke, "She does not have to say anything."
"Even All For One could not accomplish the task of killing you, All Might," Midnight looked doubtful, "But you're saying you would have been killed on a secret mission that none of us knew about?"
"That's right," Toshinori nodded, giving a small smile, "It's very possible for there to be to stronger people out there in the shadows. We just chose to show the public our strength."
"I was nothing more than a rabid animal back then," Kagome tilted her head slightly, "Wanting nothing more than to receive a treat at the end of the tricks she could show." She stated bitterly.
"Enough with that shit, Kagome!" Hawks said sternly, surprising a few with the harshness of his tone, "You're done with the HPSC," He crossed his arms, "Honestly, if you want to see an animal, just wait for rutting season."
"Didn't I just tell you to shut the hell up?" Aizawa rolled his eyes, hearing information far too intimate for his liking. How this runt could put up with this bird was beyond him, "No one here wants to hear about your sex life."
"Dunno about that, my friend," Present Mic grinned, much to Aizawa's irritation, "Of course my precious loyal listeners and dear groupies will wanna hear juicy details about the most popular Hero~!" His sunglasses seemed to shine, "And with Hawks' new cute lil sidekick, callers have been going crazy on my show: are they together or not!? Behold~! The steamy new celebrity romance!"
Kagome stared at him blankly and Hawks was not much better.
"Oh, I've been listening!" Midnight clapped her hands, "Your show has been flooded with so many calls, you barely have any times to play any songs!"
"I... believe we may be getting off topic here," Toshinori cleared his throat as Present Mic and Midnight seemed to gush to each other, "I think you're making Young Kagome uncomfortable." He sighed as his colleagues finally stopped their gossip.
"Now that's out of the way," Aizawa glared at Present Mic, who only grinned and shrugged at him, "Even in secret, how could you kill the strongest Hero on the continent? Is All Might one of these... Youkai too?" He noted Kagome seemed to shift at word 'continent' for some reason.
"Physical strength is not everything," Kagome gripped her scarf, "I had an item that assisted me. It was at the last second that the Hero Public Safety Commission stopped me. This item and its abilities were much more valuable than physical strength."
"So what was it, Kagome-chan?" Hawks asked, seeing no need to hide her name anymore now that they all knew it, "Is it your sword and its sealing ability?" He blinked when Kagome shook her head and blinked again in shock when she answered.
"It could freeze time."
