She felt... heavy.
Miko opened her eyes, not knowing how much time had passed as the residual effects of the drugs still influenced her senses. She sat up in the chair, staring down at the cape still covering her before she slowly tightened it around herself.
If this mission was almost over, then...!
"Ah, Miko, finally awake I see!" A deep voice called out, "Good, good! You slept for two hours. I didn't want to disturb your rest," All Might stated, "Your wound was not terrible enough that you needed urgent medical care and we still need to rescue the trafficking victims."
The girl placed her feet on the ground, looking at All Might in shock, 'He... he could have just rescued them himself,' She thought, 'He could have went ahead of me. Why bother to stay?'
"I found a list of possible associates," All Might waved a black book around, "I'll turn this over to the police and they'll get the warrants for arrests."
Miko raised her hand up to her ponytail, pulling out the long tie that held her hair together and the wire taps that had been hidden inside of it. She stepped on it once it fell to the ground, making sure to crush it under her boot so the HPSC could not listen and spy in any longer.
All Might looked taken back by her action, watching as she wrapped his cape around herself so would not trip over it as she walked towards him. She stopped right in front of him and he was stunned by how small (and unhealthy) she really looked. He tightened his lips when she gestured to his ears and he grabbed his comms, knowing just how angry the President and Deputy would be, but it needed to be done for the girl.
He crushed the small devices easily.
"Why are you still here?" Miko asked, her voice raspy, "This mission could have been yours. You could have gotten the reward at the end."
"I'm not doing this for any 'reward'," All Might furrowed his brows, feeling something in his chest at the sound of her voice, "I'm doing this to save people. To make people feel safe, happy. To have people smile. You should feel that way too, Miko."
"Kagome."
"Hmm?" All Might blinked when Miko stared intensely at the wall, "Kagome?" He repeated, "Isn't that a children's game?" He wondered out loud.
"It's my name," Kagome huffed, growling at this man's denseness, "Don't tell anyone. Miko is my other name... just a more widely used one."
"I promise, Young Kagome, that I won't tell anyone!" All Might grinned widely, touched that she would share such a secret with him, "Then I will tell you mine! I am Yagi Toshinori!"
"I don't care," Kagome muttered, covering her face as All Might seemed to deflate a little, "Where are these victims? I want to finish this mission," She eyed the room, noting it was clean of blood and bodies, "Did you...?"
"Please don't worry about it," All Might looked away, not wanting the young girl to fret about something so horrible when she already went through something so traumatic, "Come, Young Kagome, I am sure these trafficking victims will be happy to see you."
"Happy to see All Mighty, right?" Kagome corrected, though All Might looked at her in horror for getting his famous name wrong, "I can assure you no one is happy to see me."
All Might sighed, scratching his face as he gestured Kagome to follow him, "Let us go, for they are waiting for us!" He forced the smile to his face and clenched his fists, "Let's save them!" He could make sure of something however.
She would get her reward.
