A/N: Still sick, sorry.

This shard is a teaser! A test, if you will.

Someone asked me to do a Naruto-as-Morgott bit.

Slightly more handsome than the haggard one we got, but still.

Depending on the reception this receives, I may make this into a story.

In other news...

As my fifteen year anniversary on this site draws near, I find myself reflecting on the little things in life. What was once a lazy pastime meant for me and a few friends really grew and evolved over time. There are days when I look back on the last fifteen years here and I wonder if anyone will remember me; if I made an impact, despite never making a single cent on any of these stories. Some days were happier than others, and some stories I enjoyed writing WAY too much; to the point where I'd stay up all night working on them.

And of course, there are times when I look to the future and wonder what will become of things when I'm gone.

Of course, I try not to dwell on the latter overmuch; I'm still alive and still writing. In an ideal world, I'd like to keep doing so for as long as I can. But old age is catching up to me and these days, the world is filled with so much madness and death. The recent earthquake in Turkey/Syria serves as a terrible example. Even before that, so many friends and fellow writers I once knew are gone, now. Will I still be here in twenty years? Ten? Five? Its a chilling thought. But for now, I'm still here, still writing.

This is a rough draft. Time and feedback will determine if this becomes a story.

In other words...its up to YOU, the reader. Do let me know~!

Lets see if anyone recognize this reference right here.

This one goes right for the feels. Hope you're ready.

"I was nothing. I came from nothing. All of this, I built -and protected!- on my own.

And now you come here, after all these years, and expect to take it?

You're just a pillager, emboldened by the flame of ambition...

A Long While

...it has been a long while, Morgott."

Naruto looked up from the throne he sat upon.

That damn name again. He hated it. Still hated it, after all these years. It sounded like some sort of foul couldn't have given him a good name like Godwyn, or Godefroy or even Godrick, nooo, not that, never that. Morgott. Even Mohg, his twin, got a better name. It was the one thing that annoyed him even now, here at the end of his journey. He'd worked to make this body his own, to master his misshapen features until they were streamlined once more, making his body an instrument of death.

And now here at last, years later, daddy dearest dared to visit him.

The First Elden Lord stood before him, ax in hand, the great beast king Serrosh upon his back. Bathed in the dappled light of the Erdtree's golden rays, he looked every bit the conqueror he remembered from his childhood days. Older perhaps, with more gray in his hair, but his face more careworn, but this was every bit the man he'd looked up to.

Before the dark days. Before his exile. Before he was banished beneath.

The little girl sitting his knee showed no such anger. She shifted a little turning curious golden eyes upon the newcomer. "Who is that, father?"

He looked down at the raven-haired girl and smiled softly, bouncing her once on his leg. "That would be your grandfather, Morrigan."

His eldest child perked up, a tiny smile touching her pale face. "I have a grandfather, too?"

Naruto couldn't quite hide his smile. "You do, indeed."

Godfrey gurgled. "Granddaughter? You took a wife?"

"Wives." He corrected him. "Three, in fact."

Morrigan chirruped happily.

Godfrey just...stared.

He'd never seen his lord father look so lost; not since the day he'd first led him to the sewers. "When did all this happen? Where is Mohg? And Godwyn...?"

"You've been gone awhile." Naruto didn't bother to hide his smile. "Its quite the story to tell. I have a capital to run, Tarnished to deal with, and a tree to tend. He held up a hand, snapped his fingers, and conjured a pair of flagons to drink from. "Ale? Its quite good, or so I've been told. We'll bring out some juice for little Morrigan and I can tell you all that you missed."

A moment of silence passed. And then:

Godfrey dared to smile.

...I would like that."

A/N: Aaaand scene.

Do you want this to be a story? To see how all this happened?

Yes? No? Maybe so? Make yourselves heard! Really need to hear from you guys and gals here...

Once more, we're sticking with the "Embers" rule for this particular story, and others. If folks don't like this, it won't be continued. Meaning that if the story itself ain't popular? POOF! Gone. Completely. I'm working two jobs -might need a third soon!- so I barely have time to write; as such, I cannot afford to write something folks don't enjoy. So by all means, speak up! Your voice matters! Make yourself heard! As ever, reviews are the fuel that sustain me. Without them I cannot write a single word. Simple as that. Working nearly all hours of the day keep me absurdly busy, and I can't bring myself to write something folks don't like.

Aaaand there we go. As ever, reviews keep me alive. Without them, I cannot write. So...in the Immortal Words of Atlas...

...Review...Would You Kindly? And have some previews -potential blot bin things- that I'm working on.

References ahoy~! And ideas for new stories. Hopefully this will sate my muse for the time being.

God of War Vibes ahoy!

(Previews)

"You'll all come to the table and talk. I'll drag you there, kicking and screaming if need be."

"I am charged with keeping Leyndell in one piece. Bugger off, Radahn."

Godrick gurgled in pain.

"Disgraceful."

The cane slashed down, ending his life.

"TOGETHA-

Nope. You can die now."

CLONK!

Mohg raised his hands to ward off another blow. "Brother, I can explain-

CLONK!

"If you would but give me a moment-

CLONK!

"STOP HITTING ME!"
