A/N: My body still feels like crap, trying to push through...
Had an odd request come through the other day. Tywin Lannister in Remnant. Mentioning it in every story to see what folks think.
As my fifteen year anniversary on this site draws near, I find myself reflecting on the little things in life. What was once a lazy pastime meant for me and a few friends really grew and evolved over time. There are days when I look back on the last fifteen years here and I wonder if anyone will remember me; if I made an impact, despite never making a single cent on any of these stories. Some days were happier than others, and some stories I enjoyed writing WAY too much; to the point where I'd stay up all night working on them.
And of course, there are times when I look to the future and wonder what will become of things when I'm gone.
Of course, I try not to dwell on the latter overmuch; I'm still alive and still writing. In an ideal world, I'd like to keep doing so for as long as I can. But old age is catching up to me and these days, the world is filled with so much madness and death. The recent earthquake in Turkey/Syria serves as a terrible example. Even before that, so many friends and fellow writers I once knew are gone, now. Will I still be here in twenty years? Ten? Five? Its a chilling thought. But for now, I'm still here, still writing.
This is a rough draft. Time and feedback will determine if this becomes a story.
In other words...its up to YOU, the reader. Do let me know~!
Lets see if anyone recognize this reference right here.

A Most Unlikely Show
Today was not his day.
Lancer knew it the moment that blasted blond came barreling at him.
It was a Saber alright, but not the short he'd expected.
Therein lie the problem.
CLANG!
He grit his teeth as an absolute mountain of metal came crashing down on Gae Bolg. Braving his spear with both hands, he barely managed to shunt her aside at he last instant; unfortunately, the very moment he did she caromed off the ground and threw herself at him again. A spiraling sphere slammed into his ribs, his body creaked, and quite suddenly he was the one moving in the opposite direction.
His body struck the ground and bounced once before he managed to right himself, dragging his body onto one knee.
Damn Saber. She was leagues stronger than that Archer he'd run into...
And yet, she didn't attack.
"C'mon!" She sashayed through the smoke, hips swaying. "Don't tell me you're done already? I was just warmin' up!"
Cu Chulainn took her in at a glance. Blue eyes, whiskered cheeks, blond hair bound back in strange twintails, boy wrapped in a little black-an-orange number that had absolutely no business looking as good on her as it did. And the smile. Couldn't forget the smile. She licked her lips and grinned at him like a shark. Why wouldn't she? She'd proven herself a quick, vicious creature, and he was in for the fight of his life.
No one that size had any business wielding a sword like that. Damn thing was bigger than she was!
What had she called that thing? A head cleaver? He believed it. Something that big looked like it was made for taking heads.
And it wanted his!
"You good?" Saber tapped her blade against the ground. "I can give ya a breather if you want."
Lancer lunged. "Don't mock me!"
"Quick!" She swayed out of the way, eliciting a growl from him.
Gae Bolg pierced the space she'd just occupied. He swept her legs. She hopped over it.
"Precise!" she lauded him.
He twirled and brought his spear down in a singular slash.
"Impressive!"
She caught it with her own weapon. Sparks flew between them as they clashed. He snarled at her, and Saber grinned like the madwoman she was.
"Oi! Will you stop patronizing me?!"
"Sorry, not sorry!' The young woman grinned as they danced their dance of death. "And I'm not teasing you!" Parry. Riposte. Counter. "Really! I'm not! Its been so long since I had a good fight!" her blade hurtled in again and he swatted it aside to thrust at her stomach, only to find himself blocked once more. All the while, her pearly white teeth gleamed in a grin. "You're everything I ever wanted and more! I'm in love! Marry me~!"
Cu damn near choked on his own spit and missed a parry. Her elbow drilled his gut. "Ha?! Where's that coming from?!
"No dice?" she pouted then recovered, straightening up. "Fine, if I win you have to marry me. No takebacks!"
"Hey!" he backpedalled. "I didn't agree to anything like that! You're not making any sense!"
Saber pushed him back a step, braved her blade and lunged with a laugh.
"Have at you!"
A/N: Poor Cu. He never catches a break, does he?
To be clear, that's post-shippuden Naruko kicking his shit in this time.
Once more, we're sticking with the "Embers" rule for this story, and others. Meaning folks don't like this, it won't be continued. If the story itself ain't popular/well-received...well, I won't be able to continue it. I'm working two jobs, holidays are here too, meaning I barely have time to write; as such, I cannot afford to write something folks don't enjoy.
So by all means, speak up! Your voice matters! Make yourself heard! As ever, reviews are the fuel that sustain me. Without them I cannot write a single word. Simple as that. Working nearly all hours of the day keep me absurdly busy, and I can't bring myself to write something folks don't like.
So...in the immortal words of Atlas...
...Revieeeeew, Would You Kindly?
No previews. I'm exhausted.
And so very sad...T_T
R&R! =D
