Kendall and Roman have been arguing all day. Usually they get along well, it's Roman and Shiv who end up fighting, but today everything Kendall does is annoying Roman.

"You're not even the eldest," Roman yells, after Kendall bosses him around one too many times. "Connor is."

"Well, Connor's not here, is he?" Kendall points out.

"What's the problem, boys?" asks Logan in a jovial tone. He's in a good mood today, which can be just as dangerous as a bad mood.

"Ken won't let me in the treehouse," Roman explains.

"Why not?"

"He always makes a mess," says Kendall feebly.

"Let's find a way to settle this," says their father. "Have you ever heard of Bitey?"

"Yeah, sure," says Roman, although he hasn't.

"What's Bitey?" asks Kendall, more cautiously.

"It's a game my brother and I used to play. Stand close together." Logan pushes the boys together. Shiv, who is happily playing with her toy post office, looks up.

"Roman, put your arm across Kendall's mouth," Logan instructs. "Ken, you put your arm across Roman's mouth."

The boys look at each other uneasily as they obey. Shiv watches, interested.

"Bite down on each other's arm. The first one to stop, loses."

Roman bites down on Kendall without even thinking about it. Kendall yelps but then bites Roman back. They stare at each other as they sink their teeth, neither wanting to be the one to lose. It turns out Roman has a greater tolerance for pain than Kendall, as Ken drops Roman's arm and steps back. Roman hasn't quite drawn blood, but there are angry marks left on Kendall.

"Well done, Romulus!" says Logan, examining Kendall's arm. Kendall recoils slightly. "You win."

"I wanna play!" calls Shiv.

"Later, maybe," says Logan. "Roman, you get to go in the treehouse."

"I let you win," Kendall mutters to Roman as they walk outside. "I just didn't want to hurt you."

"Whatever. I'm the Bitey champion." Roman proudly displays the marks from where Kendall bit him.

Later Roman plays the game with Shiv, who runs away crying. It's a good day.
