Roman witnesses his first boar on the floor game at the age of eight. It's the first time he and Shiv have been allowed to stay up with the adults for dinner. Kendall has already attended a few of these functions and looks like he belongs there already, despite only being three years older than them.

It becomes clear over dinner that Logan is angry about something. Some unflattering details about ATN have been leaked to a rival news organisation, and Logan wants to know which of his employees is responsible. Roman doesn't quite understand what he's talking about, until Logan points around the table and shouts, "Boar on the floor!"

"Darling," begins their mother, who is seated next to Gerri.

"Quiet!" Caroline puts her hands up, acquiescing. "Lester, Frank. Get on the floor." Mo and Frank reluctantly get up and start crawling around on the floor. "Baird, Karl, you too." Logan starts rattling off the names of people around the table.

Shiv is giving Roman one of their telepathic looks. What the fuck? Roman leans towards Kendall, who looks world-weary, like he has seen all this before. "What's happening?"

"Romulus!" Logan roars. "If you're going to whisper, you can get on the floor too."

"Uh, sure. Looks like fun." Roman gets on the floor on his hands and knees. Frank pats his back comfortingly.

"The last one to eat a sausage is the leak." Logan throws a handful of cocktail sausages on the floor. Everyone around Roman starts diving for sausages. He has to hold back a hysterical laugh as he copies them. So this is what his dad's business dinners are like.

Soon all the sausages are gone and it's only Frank and Roman left on the floor. "Last one," says Logan, holding up a single sausage.

"Come on, Logan," says Frank pleadingly. "This is ridiculous. It's just me and your kid left. You know I'm not the leak."

"Prove it. Eat up, piggy." Logan throws the sausage down and Roman grabs it immediately, swallowing it down.

"Well done, Romulus," says Logan. "Frank, you're fired." There's a ripple of nervous laughter around the table. "I'm serious. Get the fuck out."

Frank stands up, brushes down his suit and walks out of the room, leaving everyone in silence. Roman returns to the table.

"Did I get Frank fired?" he whispers to Kendall.

"It's fine," Kendall whispers back. "Dad fires people all the time. He'll be back."

"Enough whispering!" Logan barks. "Unless you want to play a round on the floor, Kendall?"

"No thank you, Dad." Kendall manages to keep the stutter out of his voice, but Roman sees that his hands are clenched into fists.

"Now we've found the leak, we can get on with business," says Logan. "Lester, pass the wine."
