A/N: Set in the finale again.
Roman tried to make it up to Kendall, he really did. Sitting in the boardroom, being asked for his vote, he remembered the last time he was asked to support Kendall, over his father, and he couldn't do it. So this time, he raised his hand all the way. This time, he backed his brother.
But then Shiv changed her mind and now he thinks he might be changing his mind too. What tips him over the edge is when Kendall says that his confession to them, the one that got them to turn against Logan, wasn't real. That it was a move to get them to support him. In that moment Roman is suddenly filled with rage. He could have spent his father's last six months at his side, having cosy dinners with him like Connor. He could have worked with Logan at ATN, proved that he was the right person to take over from him, instead of wasting time on The Hundred and plotting to sabotage Logan's deal. His dad would never have been on that plane.
And even if the confession was real and Kendall is lying now, fuck him for acting like that moment meant nothing.
So he goes for the jugular, saying she's the bloodline and they are a pair of randos. The truth is he loves Kendall's kids, his niece and nephew, but he loved his dad more. Right now he wants to hurt Kendall as much as possible and he wants Kendall to hurt him in return. He's fine with Kendall opening his stitches, make it hurt, but then he lays a hand on Shiv and that's what makes Roman finally fight back.
He doesn't want the company, he doesn't want Ken to have it either. Let Matsson have it. It's what Logan wanted. It's all bullshit anyway.
