(Episode 2: Shocking Misadventures)
It would be a few weeks after coming into his superpowers, as the month of October would come with a quickness for the electrically powered Conduit, as he spent that time honing his powers in all of what they could do to great effect as a living thunderstorm on legs. Which would go as successful as you think when you're a 17 year old with electrical superpowers, balancing your dreams for animation and artwork to become a successful mangaka, as well as attempting to get your G.E.D.
(October 16th, 2018, Downtown Kuoh Town, Japan, 9:45 Pm)
It would be a quarter till 10 as Issei was with Aika of all people who had been the most unlikely person he'd come to trust with as well as help in mastering his newfound superpowers.
"To be honest, Aika. I never imagined you of all people would have superpowers too." Issei said as they eventually landed at a nearby alleyway
"Neither did I until last year, but when you get fire powers that let you hit people with curses. Then you don't really question it." Aika said back as she manifested black and violet flames with ease before dissipating them at the snap of finger
"Plus, the weird thing is that ever since that Saji guy kicked the bucket in February. I got a new addition to my powers too…So thanks to these things, I can swing around the town as though I'm Spiderman…Its' pretty cool once you get the hang of it." Aika added as she manifested the chameleon-like bracer of her Absorption Line in her free hand
"I won't lie, that all sounds pretty awesome, Aika. You are basically Spiderman plus the Human Torch out here with that kind of stuff." Issei spoke before Aika dispelled both her Sacred Gears
"Meanwhile, all I've got on me is being the world's strongest lightning rod." Issei half-jokingly responded in regards to his powers
"Thanks, but your powers aren't anything to sneeze at either. Mr. I can level freaking buildings with lightning bolts." Aika replied over the amount of power Issei wielded
"Is it a bad thing to say that I wasn't really trying when I did that?" Issei asked with a bashful grin
"So let me get this straight…you launching lightning bolts and stuff like that; that can level houses is you not trying?" Aika asked back as Issei nodded
"Yup, as doing all of that still wore me out. But otherwise, I felt like I had more than enough in my gas tank after…Better yet, I don't even know what happens when I max out." Issei answered with a shrug of his shoulders
"Then I guess the next thing on the agenda, is seeing what happens when you go all out on an attack. Since one of the cardinal rules of having superpowers is seeing what even is your max output" Aika suggested
"Sounds fine by me. But let's do it somewhere, where we aren't gonna cause a lot of collateral damage. The last thing I want is to try and go full force, and mess up somebody's house in the process." Issei replied with trepidation about going all out and accidentally leveling a city blow or 3 in the process
Since the last thing Issei wanted to do was to destroy a major part of the town because he dicked around with his powers, and as such caused a good chunk of innocent people to get caught in the crossfire.
"I'm sure we can find somewhere to test out; where we won't take out part of our home…What about the Academy?...Hardly anyone likes that place?" Aika suggested as a suitable testing grounds
"Here's the thing, Aika. In any other case, I would agree with you, but I don't think that is a good idea for one reason…I'm pretty sure that it would look pretty suspicious when the academy looks like an air strike from Call of Duty got called on it." Issei remarked knowing people would be turning heads left and right when the Academy started looking like nukes were being dropped on it
"Good point…Still, it is an option to consider before you get out of here." Aika conceded to the point made
"Maybe, I'll do it, and maybe I won't; who really knows? All I do know is that I've got a pretty cool friend here with me." Issei said back with a grin; happy to have Aika join him
"Hey, I'm just surprised that you had me of all people in on your little secret. I would've thought that you would've told the two idiots before anyone else." Aika spoke still surprised that Issei revealed it to her before the two Perverted Idiots
"Normally, I would be over the hill to share something like this with them. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that they weren't the best equipped to tell about this. Since they'd probably blab about it to every sexy babe in sight, and I'd have my powers exposed before the next weekend is out. Which means I'll then have 'The Men in Black' after me trying to swoop in and either dissect me to see how I tick, or force me into being a super soldier and I don't want either of those things." Issei explained as per his reasoning on why he didn't tell either of his perverse friends
"So that's why I decided you were the better option. Because, at least with you I have someone that can watch my back if things go down. Since as much as I care about them, I can't really trust them with knowing about my powers...That and since they don't have superpowers like us, I'd rather not tell them and have them get mixed up in our problems." Issei added knowing that between Aika and his lecherous cohorts that the former was the greater option
"What can I say, I'm the most underrated friend anyone can have…I may be a pervert too, but at least I know a thing or two about being loyal to someone. So trust and believe that your secret will remain safe with me, Issei." Aika told the brunette superhuman
"Thanks, Aika. I appreciate that." Was Issei's only response
"Not a problem at all, and by the way where are you going to go once you get your G.E.D? I know that your animation and art stuff is really taking off, but you still haven't mentioned where it is you're gonna head off to next?" Aika questioned as to where Issei would leave off too when he got that particular part squared away
"That's easy, for now its gonna be Kyoto...At least for now, before I look towards something more my speed." Issei answered back
"Really? I figured that you would have tried to go somewhere more…exotic." Aika said take a bit off-guard at the answer
"Well, I originally planned on moving to the States. However, housing over there is super expensive, so that option is out. That's why at least for now I'm going to move to Kyoto. Its nice enough to be a step up from Kuoh, and more than enough space for me to do what I want without much trouble." Issei replied
"Which reminds me, you should come with me. Since we're both getting our G.E.D's to get out of here. I mean that way, you can have your music career really take off. Because we both know that you don't really give a shit about being at the academy more than I do." Issei suggested to his fellow brunette
"You definitely aren't wrong about that. Plus, it would let me focus on my own Youtube channel more often, and actually let me have more time to write and record my own album." Aika told Issei who looked at her with interest
"I didn't know you were making an album. What's it going to be about, if you won't mind my asking?" Issei asked with interest in his eyes
"Its' a Yugioh concept album where the Red-Eyes Black Dragon goes on a quest to Zombie World to become a badass dragon lich, with hordes of the undead at their call; to build an empire of the undead…It's a lot of work, but I'm honestly excited to make it happen!" Aika answered back pumped to soon have time to finish writing what would be her 1st debut album
Given that with her not just being a fellow pervert and love of hentai like Issei, she was also a big fan of metal music with bands such as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Slipknot, Coheed and Cambria, Anthrax, Lamb of God, Korn and Sevendust ranking among her favorites; that in combination with her fierce love of Yugioh. This had her deciding to not only take her love for said card game alongside comics/anime in general and her love of heavy metal music to start working on her pet project in her debut album, as well as make fun metal covers of anime OP's, and what if videos on metal bands in general.
"I'm not gonna lie that sounds absolutely epic!...Hey, if you want someone to do the cover art for it, I will be more than delighted to do so. Just tell me what you want it to look like, and I'll do my absolute best." Issei spoke being more than happy to offer his talents to the bespectacled metalhead
"Go for it, Issei. Better yet, I will send you details of what I want it too look like this weekend if that's ok with you?" Aika told him
"Sounds great too me, and before I forget. Would you mind doing me a solid and making me a new intro/outro song for my channel. I'm thinking that with my powers giving me a new start on life, that it wouldn't hurt to do the same for my channel." Issei requested
"I think I can whip something up for you. When do you want it done by is the real question?" Aika asked back
"Either next month or in December if you can manage it?" Issei replied
"That should be lightwork for me then...And I think I have a good idea on how I'm gonna have it sound too." Aika replied seeing something like that as no problem
"Thanks a ton for this, Aika, I really appreciate it. That's why I'm gonna make you a new channel banner if you want as thanks." Issei said back
"You don't gotta do that for me, Issei. I'm fine with doing you a solid; just cause." Aika replied but Issei would hear none of it
"Too bad, I'm doing it anyways! If we're gonna be partners and friends doing this stuff together, then I'm going to nice stuff for you. So just deal with it." Issei told her not wanting to hear anything else
"Alright, fine. But only because I like you so much." Aika conceded with a light shove to his shoulder
"Anyways, I gotta go. I want to get started for my next video tomorrow, and we have a day full of classes to deal with too." Aika reminded Issei of the fact that it was still a school night tomorrow
"Uggghhh, don't remind me. I'll see you later then, Aika." Issei spoke before Aika re-summoned her Absorption Line and lanced a tendril to a nearby building
"See you tomorrow too, Hyoudou." Aika said before getting a running start and soon swinging off into the cloudy night
'Man, who would've thought that one of my friends has powers like me.' Issei remarked to himself before heading off home himself
(2 nights later, Eastern Kuoh Town, 9:15 Pm, October 17th, 2018)
That being said on the following Thursday night, the duo of Aika and Issei had encountered the perversely fucked oddity that was Vizer who'd pissed off Issei by revealing her true form's bottom half to be a monstrous chimeric beast.
"Of all the bullshit to happen this week! This happened what the fuck!" Issei cursed as they took cover from an acid stream fired from Vizer's large bust
"Even I gotta admit that this is fucked up…Just what sick fuck would make some hentai nonense like that? No scratch that, not even hentai nonsense can explain this!" Aika cursed as the pillar they ducked behind continued to corrode
"Then how about we send it back to hell for messing with a perfectly good pair of titties." Issei said as electricity crackled around him
"Let's do it, then. There is no way she can get away pulling hentai bullshit." Aika spoke as she manifested the whip-like tendrils of her Absorption Line
All the while as Viser stalked towards her would-be prey with a lascivious smile on her face, was she met with several bolts of lightning that were fired off in rapid succession; with the majority striking her center mass as she was sent back several feet from the sheer force each one packed behind it; before the final two went into her left forelimb with bone-breaking force. However, in the very next moment after feeling like one of her lower half's legs had been almost shattered, Aika had with a swift crack of her Absorption Line tendrils had them wrap around her other forelimb and with a twist like yank had said limb dislocate from its socket
Viser screeched in pain but not before Aika cracked one of he tendrils again, only this time it was lit ablaze with cursed flames that began to rapidly crawl along her left flank; causing magenta-colored pustules the size of grapefruits that pulsated painfully with neon blue veins crawling across the reptilian lower half. It was also at this time that Issei launched a baker's dozen's worth of spheres made of electromagnetic energy that stuck to her right side and right leg; like flies stuck to sticky paper before with a loud clap of his hands they exploded in bursts of electrical energy.
The large centaur-like Devil nearly falling over from having their legs and a large section of her side blown out, and while she wasn't bleeding out due to the multiple concentrated explosions having cauterized the large hole in her side. It was the fact that multiple bones had been broken and her major blood vessels having been ruptured as well from the sheer concussive force that had sent her flying out of the building and into the small forested area.
But before she could try to rise to her feet, multiple tendrils wrapped around her large form and lit alblaze as Aika began to reel her towards them, whilst the cursed flames began to burn away at her flesh; while Issei began to charge lightning in both his hands.
"Why're you running, we're just getting started!" Issei shouted as he sent a large bolt of lightning the fired close to the strength of an artillery shell
The lightning bolt in question struck with such power that it flash incinerated Viser's left rear leg to ash, causing her large form to crumple to the ground as she was continually reeled towards the duo whilst her body wasn't only further lit ablaze but her strength drained into Aika. All the while Issei decided to rush forward and with fists covered in electricity, as he then leaped onto and began subsequently pummeling her with hammerfists and heavy-handed punches with the aggression of a feral honey badger.
Viser tried to shake him off but the fact that she had been partially restrained on top of the majority of her lower body being set ablaze made the task incredibly difficult as the sheer concussive force and electrical output being enough to make her bones vibrate to the point of cracking apart on contact and her blood literally boiling inside of her. This was why by the time she struggled to get one of the forelimbs to grab at him despite being dislocated, she was well within range for Aika to begin lashing at and flaying off chunks of flesh from her lower body; the strikes coming in quick succession one after the other.
However, as Viser was trying to crush Issei while simultaneously trying to defend against Aika beating her with her whip-like tendrils that carved through muscle and bone like a sword through tissue paper; Issei proceeded to do the only thing he could in this moment. That one thing, was rapidly charging electricity into his mouth and biting down as hard as he could to electrocute Viser, which had the effect of sending so much lightning running through her body that her skeleton was made visible from it, as her insides were simultaneously being cooked from the amount of power channeled through her.
As such Viser was forced to fling Issei off and away from her but not before he rapidly collected enough lightning in his hands and fired it off as a large missile of electrical energy at Viser, who at the same time had Aika use her tendrils as a medium to fire off a Clydesdale sized fireball of cursed flames…The moment both attacks connected against a still pained Riser was a raucous explosion that packed enough force to send both teenagers flying through the air, as Viser was caught dead center in the middle of it all.
However, both were able to recover and cushion their landing with Aika using her Absorption Line tendrils to swing onto the roof of the building they were previously in, while Issei was able to stop his 'flight' completely by channeling static electricity into his palms to use as makeshift jet-thrusters to propel and subsequently stop himself…Both superpowered teens looked to see that Viser or what remained of her was a charred mound of jet-black bone and crumbling ash that was rapidly falling apart to the wayside, as both soon descended to the ground albeit with Issei shakily doing so and nearly faceplanting in the process.
"At least that nightmare is over, great job on keeping whatever the hell she was tied up, Aika." Issei said as the two regrouped near each other
"Thanks. Also, how did you just do that whole stopping yourself in midair thing just now?" Aika questioned Issei
"Oh that, its a little something I've been working on since…yesterday." Issei told Aika
"So you basically just pulled that out of your ass just now?" Aika surmised
"Not totally out of my ass. It would be an asspull if I just did it on the fly while we were fighting." Issei replied as to how long ago he came up with it
"I dunno what you're going to call it. But it looks like it will come in handy; when we're out and about on the town." Aika noted
"Trust me I know. Since I'm trying to hopefully get this down good enough, so I won't have to rely on using a manhole cover or a bench as a makeshift hoverboard to get around places. At least when there's not some powerlines for me to hop on." Issei replied in hopes of being able to fly through pure electrical power alone one day
"That actually sounds pretty cool, Issei. Good luck with that." Aika said back
"Thanks, I'm gonna need it, since flying isn't my strong suit as you've seen...At least not yet, anyways." Issei told Aika over his rather…spotty record in regards to being able to fly
"And this is why we need to do flight training away from the town. Too many things for you to crash into around here." Aika replied knowing that doing flying training was a must
"Yeeaaahhh, that sounds like a good idea…. I know that since my powers kicked in that I'm a lot more durable than before. But I'd rather not test that when I practice flying." Issei said back in agreement
"Then how about next week we start working on helping you to fly better with your powers." Aika suggested to her fellow pervert
"Sounds fine by me, Aika. But what do you want to do now?" Issei replied
"Wanna stay the night at my house and watch Dragonball GT?" Aika questioned
"Yes, Yes I would." Issei answered back
From there the two left the battle site of Viser's still smoking corpse to rot and fester as they headed to Aika's for an anime watching night, yet unbeknownst to them as they were focused traveling home was Akeno, Koneko, and Tsubasa who had watched the absolute demolition of Viser unfold in spectacular fashion. While various emotions were on display such as Akeno's lust over their brutal dispatching of the stray Devil, Koneko's unilateral disgust toward Issei, and Tsubasa being overall interested and slightly attracted to Issei's being a menace; that the one thing in mind was that both Aika and Issei were budding powerhouses that had to have eyes kept on them nonetheless.
(The next day, Kuoh Academy, 12:48 Pm, October 18th, 2018)
It would be the following day later in-between their lunch break as Aika and Issei were beside themselves due to their 2 fellow perverts recovering from a stomach bug that had been going around, and as such were playing a game of Yugioh since they'd finished eating their lunch.
"I'll give you credit, Aika. That play you pulled off with your 2 Chain Resonators and your Scarlight to get Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend out was good. Especially when you used a fucking Negate Attack of all things to stop my Revolution Falcon." Issei spoke as he was down to his last Raidraptor XYZ monster on the field
"I told you that all I needed was time to beat you. Besides, your down to your Air Raid and 2 face downs." Aika said with a broad smirk
'Plus, I have a Blazing Mirror Force and Wall of Disruption if he tries anything; on standby even if he does break through my boss monster.' Aika said to herself knowing that she had Issei dead to rights with her backrow
"Fair, but did you account for my activating this…I play the Quick Play Spell Card, Rank Up Magic: Double Doom Force. Which is gonna let me special summon my Force Strix back to the field, then take him up a notch to summon one of my big boys…You know and love him, so give it up for my Raidraptor: Satellite Cannon Falcon in attack mode!" Issei proclaimed as he summoned force the Rank 8 monster
"Oh fuck…" Was AIka's response as all of her backrow was destroyed
"So unless you have any other responses; then I think that's your turn?" Issei said back with a sinister smirk on his face
"It is, and I pass for turn. Your move now, Issei" Aika said
"Thanks, and now that it's my turn. I'll draw for turn and…your gonna hate me for this one." Issei said as his smirk grew wider
"Why's that?" Aika said as Issei slapped down the spell card he just drew
"Because I'm using my Rank-Up-Magic Raid Force to upgrade my Revolution Falcon: Air Raid to a Arsenal Falcon." Issei replied as he used said spell card to transform his XYZ monster to it's newer model
"After that I'll detach a material from my Sattelite Cannon Falcon to reduce your Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiends' attack points down to 0, since I have 10 Raidraptors in my graveyard." Issei further spoke
"I don't have a response so…if you wanna rail me for game then go for it." Aika replied in knowing her goose was cooked
"Don't mind if I do. So I'll smash my Sattelite Cannon Falcon into your Tyrant for 3K, then after that I'll have my Arsenal Falcon attack twice since it has 2 materials on board. So unless you have anything in your hand to stop the asskicking your gonna get, then that's a total of 8,000 damage to the face your taking." Issei said as the mental image of both his Raidraptors raining down a veritable air strike to shred her boss monster filled him with glee
"No I don't…good game Issei. You relly got me good with those Raidraptors of yours." Aika said back in her admission of defeat
"Thanks, Aika. To be honest, I top-decked like hell those last two turns to beat you. If I didn't have those Rank-Up Magic cards with me then I would've been a goner." Issei spoke as the two fist-bumped as per usual after a duel
"Hey, I had to do something after you nearly board-wiped me by taking out my Archfiend Abyss…Fucking Bottomless Trap Hole." Aika cursed at the trap card that always got her
"What can I say, Aika? You don't mess with Trap Hole cards." Issei said back with a grin at loving his trap cards with a vengeance
"Fair point, by the way, have you noticed that for some reason; Rias Gremory and Sona Shitori's people have been watching us lately?" Aika remarked at having felt eyes on them lately
"Yeah, I've noticed that too. Heck, on my way home on Tuesday after I was riding around some powerlines…'cause y'know grocery shopping and all that. I could've sworn I saw Koneko of all people tailing me." Issei told his fellow brunette as he collected his Raidraptor deck while Aika her Red Dragon Archfiend one
"I never would've pegged the school midget for a stalker." Was Aika's response
"Any guesses on why they are watching us? I doubt its because of my winning smile or your perky tits." Issei asked
"I'm pretty sure its obvious, Issei. Its probably because of our superpowers, since we haven't been the most covert about it when we go and fight monsters, train and whatever else is out there in town." Aika answered back
"...That makes a lot of sense, but what could they want with us? I mean I know we have our powers and all that stuff. But as far as anyone else is concerned we are the last set of people anyone in Kuoh would want. Because, name one person that would want two super-nerdy perverts as part of whatever is going on with them?...No one that's who, especially since 80 to 90% of the academy would be jumping for joy if we got flattened by a semi-truck." Issei sourly replied as he and Aika got out their 2nd decks to mix things up for another duel
Since as far as Issei's concerned, despite his powers and wherever Aika's came from, that it was an oddity that anyone in the academy or outside of it barring some shady shadow government operation would want them for anything special, given their social status. Hence why he was incredibly confused as to why 2 of the Academy's Great Beauties were anything remotely interested in him beyond his being a known lecher at the academy, or why they would have Koneko and who knows else trailing him and Aika; when was as far as he was concerned he wasn't all too special besides his powers.
"Hey, your guess is as good as mine, Issei. I don't know why any of them would pay attention to us either…Maybe you should go ask them, you might get lucky for a change?" Aika spoke with a sly smile with lewd intentions behind it as she brought out her Utopia deck
"And risk getting shit on by everyone even more than what I already am? No thank you, Aika. I'd rather stay under the radar as much as possible before I leave this dumpster fire for an academy." Issei replied as he began shuffling his Speedroid deck that he brought out
"Plus, if Gremory and Shitori are having other people tail me. Then I'd doubt they would give me the time of day in public…Not that I could blame them, since when your as high up in the food chain. Why would you bother to look people like us in the face in public." Issei further spoke knowing that none of Kuoh's 4 Great Beauties would spare the time of day in public with someone like him or Aika
"When you put it that way, I can't really argue with you on that." Aika replied whilst both of them shuffled their decks
"Yeah, so unless by some miracle one of them pops up in our class to talk to us. Then I really doubt anything special is gonna happen…Unless they send some goons to try and kidnap us, then at that point anyone can get it." Issei said knowing that unless something extreme happened then the likelihood of anyone paying attention to them was slim to none
"Until that happens, Issei. We just keep doing what we've been doing…That being said let's run it back for a round 2, this time I'm gonna crush you." Aika spoke with a determined grin on her face
"You're on, Aika. But don't get salty when I beat you again." Issei said back with a cocksure grin of his own as both drew their cards and went back for round 2
(2 days later, October 20th, 2018, Downtown Kuoh Town, 9:09 Pm)
That being said, that following Saturday both Aika and Issei were currently fighting off against a dual sword wielding Stray Exorcist who they'd spotted trying to kill a couple who were supposed heathens in their eyes.
"It would be one thing if they were kidnapping children in a creepy van, but killing them because they're gay is some bullshit…Its people like you that really give followers of the lord a bad name." Issei replied as he blocked a light sword with a steel baseball bat he 'found' and Aika with her Absorption Tendrils turned into a buckler shield
"The bible says that union is supposed to be between a man and a woman, not between those of the same sex. Therefore, they must be extinguished of their sin through blood." The stray exorcist spoke as they bore down harder on them
"The bible also says a lot of messed up things as well, but you don't see me or my friend her cherrypicking scripture to go on a killing spree." Issei shot back as electricty crackled along his bat
"Besides, who gave you the authority to judge anyone on where they stick their dicks in? I don't remember them giving anyone that power in sunday school." Aika chimed in as in a surprising display of strength shoved the dual sword wielding exorcist back nearly 20 feet
"The Heavenly Host above ordained…." The stray exorcist tried to say before a bolt of lightning and soccer-ball-sized fireball of cursed flame crashed into them
"There are a lot of things I can stand, but saying that the angels above gave you a free pass to kill gay people ain't one of 'em." Issei said as lightning crackled around him
The moment that the stray exorcist had stood back up their once priestly vestments turned to ash leaving them in only a heavily burnt breastplate, as their flesh sustained heavy 2nd-degree burns across their neck, shoulders and upper arms; parts of their body had also began to swell and blister painfully. So much so that they could feel their chest and stomach grow painfully tight within their breastplate as well as their thighs and pelves swell and bleed toxic looking magenta colored pus as every movement hurt to the point of them wheezing.
Nonetheless, they stood defiant as Issei and Aika rushed after them with lethal intentions in their eyes, as Aika slingshotted herself into action like a flame-covered bullet while Issei used a Lightning Hook as he dubbed it to grab a nearby trashcan and both launch/electrify it at the stray exorcist at great speeds…The stray exorcist in question despite their bloated and blistered flesh weighing them down and causing every movement made to be a labor in and of itself, managed to bring both blades to bare to slice through the electrified trash-can that sent electrified garbage splattering across the ground.
However, this left them wide open for Aika to come in with a drop-kick from hell to the face that busted their lip open into a bloody mess, and snapping their head back from the sheer concussive force behind it; meanwhile Issei came leaping into action like a cocaine-fueled bat out of hell to crack his opposition in the stomach with his electrified bat. The stray exorcist went to retaliate against Issei for the body blow, but was found with Aika's Absorption Line tendrils swiftly snaking around their legs and with a swift yank caused them to almost cartoonishly fall over in time for Issei to crack them across the face.
The strike sent them flying until they crashed into a nearby minivan with such force that it caved in one of the side-doors, as the dual-wielding exorcist found themselves having to dodge out of the way of a nearby bench being chucked at them courtesy of Issei's Lightning Hook. That being said, they weren't able to get away very far from the point of impact as Aika cracked her tendrils once more and sent it out as a fiery lash to wrap around their arm, yet this time the spiteful exorcist was ready and brought their left sword to parry the attack.
Yet as he went to deflect the other tendril that had split into a trio of fiery lashes streaking towards him like hellish serpents, Issei fired a bolt of lightning directly into their left knee causing them to bellow out in pain as it allowed for the blazing tendrils to wrap around the arm that would've deflected the blow. The dual-wielding exorcist brought to their knees as they felt Aika's cursed flames burn through their flesh and down to their very bone, as Issei began rapidly charge up electromagnetic energy through his steel bat that began to heavily vibrate.
"Alright, Issei, are you ready?" Aika asked as Issei took up a batter's stance
"Yeah, let's see if this new move I've been cooking since I've got my powers is gonna work...At least I hope it does." Issei answered back with a small grin as his bat continued
to pulse and vibrate with electrical power
"Then go for it!" Aika yelled as she yanked her tendrils back with a swift crack across the ground
From there the stray exorcist who was still struggling to free themselves of their binds was promptly sent flying towards them, Issei swung his bat forward as though he would strike out for a home run and with the shout of Smash Rocket a missile that while of smaller size than what would normally be fired. The power of it on the otherhand was much greater given how on impact it blasted apart the breastplate and piecemeal armor that the stray exorcist put together into shards of electrified shrapnel, as they were sent flying backward through 4 and a half buildings as a loud THHHOOOOOMMM was made.
Both brunettes being understandably impressed as Issei's attack tore through brick, mortar, and stone as though it were made of soggy tissue paper as the sides of the brick walls it tore through were turned to naught but ashen rubble in the process. Although the distracting smell of ozone and Issei hand tingling and slightly vibrating from his 1st true field testing of the attack were all known, the Stray Exorcist in using every ounce of their resiliency was able to survive the attack.
Granted a large number of their ribs were shattered, electrical burns painting half their body a charred crust of blacked flesh that further warped parts of their bloated and blistered body into a monstrous visage; especially with their left arm burned and melted to the bone, as their right leg sagged somewhat from being broken in 2 places. Yet their zealousness and rage refused to let them die as it was only through whatever holy energies they were able to hold on despite the immense concussive power of the Smash Rocket tearing into their sundered body, as they gripped their lone light sword in their remaining hand with a vengeance.
The Stray Exorcist half dashed half hobbled after them with an unnatural gait and agility, as a furious look that bordered on madness was present in their bloodshot gray eyes as they let out a garbled roar towards the 2 teenagers who looked unmoved. What with Issei using his Lightning Hook to grab a manhole cover and with all the strength he could muster threw it at the Stray Exorcist in question with such speed that it took them but the space between a blink and tear to see that they'd been quite literally disarmed of their weapon-wielding arm at the shoulder.
Yet the combination of rage and adrenaline had them pushing forward until both Aika and Issei let loose with a blast of cursed flames from the former and a powerful bolt of lightning from the latter that streaked through the cool October night and on impact blasted a large watermelon-sized hole through the chest of the sundered former exorcist. This caused them to immediately stop in their tracks, and skid to a bloody a heavily charred halt as the two for good measure sent more lightning and cursed flame into said exorcist until they were nothing but piles of charred and smoldering flesh and ash on the ground.
"Huh, nice job there with that new move you got there, Issei." Aika said to Issei
"Thanks, I figured that if I'm gonna try and be a good guy with superpowers. That, I might as well start making myself some super moves to go along with 'em…The Smash Rocket was just the 1st of many that I've been making." Issei told Aika as now that he had a months' worth of practice under his belt he felt confident to start better experimenting with what could be done with them
"Considering that it tore through a couple of building like it was nothing. I would say that move of yours was super effective." Aika said with a sharp whistle at the destruction wrought by said super move
"Yeah, and just think. I haven't even come up with an Ultimate Move yet…Now that's gonna be something awesome!" Issei spoke in awe of the fact that he made something so destructive
"I think we can brainstorm on how that will all work when we aren't around something that looks like the Incredible Hulk got hopped up on cocaine." Aika replied knowing that being around here for too long wasn't a good idea
"Agreed, so head back to my place for the night?" Issei asked as Aika lashed out a tendril to a nearby roof
"You know it, I'll see you there in a few, Issei." Aika answered back before swinging away
'Man having superpowers is a trip." Issei said as he hopped onto one of the powerlines and used it to 'surf' home
So with Aika and Issei having become a partnership in the weeks since Issei's revival, the two now partner up to better understand Issei's powers as well as fight against whatever may come in their home. SpartanKingJ: That's fair in regards to Delsin's smoke powers, but in my defense, I am a sucker for lightning and electricity so I couldn't help it; plus it just felt more epic all things considered. Furthermore, I'll finagle something to make the whole dragon fire thing its own given that; when and if he gets dragon flames from the Boosted Gear, that his being Conduit will probably have an effect on how he's able to use it in a similar manner to his electricity...Also, me too as I've been back in it for a bit with my Naruto X Pokemon story which has kept me busy for a bit.
