Four months after Midna returns home and destroys the only way back into the twilight, Link now seeks way to return to it. A strange dream sets him on a journey for a last hope, while ancient shadows begin to make their move to swallow the light. Link, Midna, Zelda, and a new ally are pulled into a conflict that spans the ages and could spell the end of everything they hold dear.
