Assuming it does take me this long to finish building a new chapter, then I guess Saturdays will be my publishing days. But enough about that thought, it's time for this New Kind of Story to get another continuing chapter. And it starts with TWO NEW QUESTIONS I have for you.
"How would you guys feel about the idea of Angel and Geoffrey ending up together?" Me, I have that in mind because for "Harry and Annabelle: Pets for Life", I have this good plot. Mikka and Leo's kids (Angel and Geoffrey) believe that they are brother and sister. But really, Geoffrey was adopted. Which gives me the feeling that I can have them become a couple eventually, thanks to Annabelle. Though, unless I'm proven otherwise, I'm not sure on how appropriate that sounds. Also, in "H&A's First Story", I think you guys remember that Angel is an adult and Geoffrey is still a baby. So, it's definitely not going to happen with that one. As for this alternate story…we'll see what happens.
"Which animated superhero movie do you think was better: The Incredibles, Big Hero 6, or Spider-Verse?" I say Spider-Verse. Because that one was more comically creative, it showed a good image for the amazing Marvel Comic characters, and…it's about my number one favorite superhero for crying out loud. So why not?
So with those, I would like to say one last thing. THANKS GUYS! I want to say thanks to Alexriolover95, StormKnight089, Nightfly123, and RIO2lover100 for being the very authors that have left good comments to my stories lately. As well as responding to some of my questions. Thank you, guys. So I hope you'll like this.

CHAPTER THIRTY NINE: A NEW SCARLET PART 2
Later on the night of Valentine's Day (now in 1997), everybody in the Samba Gang was together at their usual spot. Blu, Jewel, Rafael, Eva, Carlos, Sophia, Nico, Pedro, and Luiz were at the garage, having a nice dinner talk. But what some thought was going to be a normal hang out turned into a "News Gathering" as the two blue birds told their friends the biggest news yet.
"Oh my gosh." Sophia whispered.
Then Carlos, "Mikka…and Leo…are going to have a baby?"
"Yep!" Jewel smiled. "Two of our very closest friends are going to be parents!"
Sophia, "Oh, I'm so happy for them! I wonder why they didn't tell us sooner."
Blu, "Well Mikka did just lay her egg last night. And she and Leo didn't want to risk it bringing here."
"Aww. Oh I wish I could see it right now."
"I think you can tomorrow perhaps. By now they're probably asleep."
"Man." Carlos gave a pat to his wife's shoulder and said, "I think we can wait 'til then. But when you guys get home later, tell them we said congratulations and that they can always come to us if they want any advice on parenting."
Eva whispered to Rafael, "Said no one ever." Which made him laugh. Then Rafi said, "Also, Blu, how exactly do you feel about it?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, your new parents are going to have a new kid, which means you're going to have a sibling. You must be excited about that, right?"
"Course I am. I like the idea of having a brother or sister. While, yes, I did have maybe a little bit of shock and jealousy in me, I actually am excited. I don't even know why I shouldn't be."
Jewel smiled, hearing her boyfriend sound so mature. "I'm glad you think so, Blu." She whispered, then kissed his cheek. "And besides, if Mikka and Leo don't give you much company, know that you'll always have me around."
Blu chuckled. "Glad to hear it."
Luiz, "So what exactly do you think it'll be? A boy or girl?"
Nico, "I'm hoping a boy. Because I think this whole Samba Gang would do great with another brother in it."
Pedro, "Same."
Rafael, "Here, here. Haha."
Eva, "I think it should be a girl. If you ask me, this club has way too many boys." Then she gave Jewel and Sophia each a wing-bump. Showing that they agreed too.
Blu chuckled and said, "Well…if I'm being honest, I'd like a sister. Having a sister makes me feel like I'd be least likely argue with her. And maybe it would be fun if my Jewel here had a second sister too."
Jewel chuckled next. "Hmm. That does sound nice. Or are you just wanting the baby to be a girl because you don't want to deal with any competition?"
Everyone released a low blow tone.
Blu blushed and giggled, "C-C-Competition? No, no, no. That's not why, and if you think I'm actually scared of that idea, then you are crazier than a feeble mouse trying to tussle with a falcon."
"Mmm-hmm." Jewel smirked, and whispered "Lover Boy." Then everyone else laughed. Blu should have felt embarrassed but was really happy. Seeing all his friends laugh and together, and knowing that his new parents were going to have a baby. It all showed him that despite how long it took so far, waiting in Rio was worth it. Because he knew that until his real parents would return, he already had a family.
So he approached Jewel and gave her a big hug. "I love you, you silly chick."
"Hm." She smirked. "I love you too, you mini chicken."
Everyone stayed quiet, and admired seeing their blue friends like that again. It made Sophia whisper to her husband, "So…you think they'll be next pair to have an egg someday?"
Carlos whispered back, "Not for a long time, I hope. Though, as long as Rafael and Eva don't have one at their married age I think I'll be good."
"Silly bird."
Five months later, it was finally the day. After waiting for so long, Mikka and Leo's egg was ready to hatch as it kept shaking. The sight of it made Blu and Jewel shake almost every ten seconds. They spent the past months helping their close parent friends take care of the egg, and when it was finally time, they left to inform the others.
After leaving, the parents were together, still in their nest holding the egg. Seeing it shake made Leo feel more shaky than Mikka. When she noticed, she just smiled and shook him for real.
"W-Whoa!" He said. "Don't, don't…don't do that. Please."
"Sorry, sweetie. But don't you think you're being a bit too nervous?"
"Yes. But can you blame me, honey? I haven't been this nervous since the night your wing was torn. And I'm amazed that this event is making me more scared."
"Hey, don't be surprised. What you're feeling is very normal for any new father. You and I are about to have a baby, and I'll admit I'm nervous too. But remember, you won't be taking care of her alone. You have me, and we have our friends to help us."
Leo smiled back at her, "Yeah, I know. I…I'm mostly just scared of the idea of what kind of world she'll be living in. There's still predators all around us, and humans that aren't like the ones we've befriended. But they are ruthless. Ruthless enough to leave bear-traps for my wife to get stuck in. I don't want our baby to end up flightless like you have. And not only that…I don't want to be the one who ends up having to teach our baby how to fly."
"I know, I know. But…one of these days I think you'll have to. If you ever had to fly, you would never hurt me for it."
"If that was true, I wouldn't be feeling guilty every time I thought about it."
"Do you usually think about flying again?"
"Yes. But we both know that I can't. I can't and won't fly because you are grounded forever. I never want you to feel bad…or feel like you're being left out on anything if I ever leave the ground." He shed a single tear, and seeing it made her quiver before sharing a loving kiss.
After letting go, she responded, "Is that the real reason?"
"…Yes."
"Then don't be. Like I said, we have our friends to always help us out. And leaving me alone? I think you should know that our love for each other is much stronger than that. You could never leave me alone, and with our baby and our family, I know that I never will be. In fact, do you know what I was thinking about on the night my wing got torn?"
"I…I had an idea as to what."
"Well let me tell you. It's true that I did feel pain and fear for my wing torn and being alone. But while that stupid trap grabbed on me, I knew that no matter what, you would find me. You are my knight in shining armor and had no doubt that you would come for me. And guess what? I was right. Loveo, you are my hero. And I know that whether you decide to fly or not, you would always be there for me."
"You really think so?"
"I know so."
Mikka's smile became seductive next, and she made Leo gently put the egg down before pressing her beak to his. The two enjoyed another passionate kiss, and both knew how truthful they were with each other. Mikka and Leo were completely in love, and knew that their baby would grow up in a world where they and their family would always be there for her.
Then suddenly, Leo stopped her and said, "Wait. Just a few moments ago, did you call our egg 'her'?"
Mikka chuckled. "Yeah. I don't know if you wanted a boy or not, but it's a mother's instinct. I just know that our egg will be a girl."
"If you so, but I think we'll both know for sure when the egg-"
Cracks! Another sound came up, stopping the birds' train of thought, and looked over to see that their egg had a crack on it.
"Oh dear." Mikka said and gently picked it up and rocked it. "Okay, I now take back my previous statements because now I'm officially freaking out."
Leo just smirked and helped.
"Oh." She said in a worried tone. "The others aren't even here yet."
"Don't worry, I think they will be. In the meantime, let's help out our little angel."
"Angel?" Mikka suddenly smiled, knowing what to think of next.
Three minutes earlier, the whole gang (minus Luiz) was flying together, everybody holding some food and the other things for the…
"-baby!" Sophia said with excitement. "Oi, I can't believe Mikka and Leo is finally coming!"
Carlos, "Yeah, I know how you're feeling, sweetie."
Eva, "Mom, were you ever this excited the day I was born?"
"Oh absolutely. The day you were born was the greatest of my life. I was so hyped I couldn't sleep for days until you hatched. And the first thing I saw that I found amazing was those beautiful eyes of yours." She nuzzled her beak to Eva's head.
"Aw thanks, Mom." Eva said, then felt Carlos do the same before chuckling. Rafael looked at them, and suddenly had a lot of thoughts on his mind. He and Eva have been a couple for over a year, and he always loved her, and seeing her with her parents made him wonder how many more years he had to wait before they were ready to reach the level of marriage. He even wanted to talk about it when her and her parents, but knew they were too young. So he figured patience would be the best thing to show, and he knew that one day, he and Eva would always be happy as a family together.
For Blu and Jewel, Blu was still in her talons as he carried some food and Jewel continued soaring while checking the look on Blu's face. He smiled, and didn't say anything since their friends said it was time.
So she finally started speaking to him quietly. "Blu?"
"Yeah?"
"Are you okay? Ever since we left you haven't said a word."
"Oh. I'm sorry, I'm just excited is all. Mikka and Leo are getting their kid, and well…I like to think that I'm trying not to get too excited over everything."
"Really, why? No one would blame you if you're the one who gets the most excited?"
"I know. I…I believe it has something to do with the fact that things are beginning to change again. At first, the biggest change I went through was losing my parents. Then there came the next, and better, change which was meeting you, Eva, Nico, and Pedro. Then everything else before Mikka and Leo said they wanted to adopt me. And you know how hard I took that first."
"Yes, I do remember. And I see what you mean. You're the kind of bird who's not always wanting to see things change so much. Well, not everyone is ready for them. Including me, given how we both lost our parents before we met. But sometimes, change can be wonderful. Including the one where we came together. So even though things will never stop being different, just remember that you will always have me and this family with you." Then she kissed his head.
"I will. Thanks."
"You're welcome. And on a related note, you're not going to freak out if you see that the baby is a boy, will you?"
"No!" Blu scowled.
Jewel laughed, "Good."
Then, very quickly, the birds landed near Mikka and Leo's nest on the ground and approached them.
Carlos, "Hey Mikka, Leo, we brought the stuff you asked for…"
Sophia peeked in and saw it before saying, "Oh my."
Everyone else wanted to see, but then Carlos stopped them. "Wait, guys. I think Blu needs to see this first. Come on." He brought his wing to Blu, who walked up to him and was slowly brought into the nest. He was expecting to see the egg. But instead…he saw his adoptive parents with big grins on their beaks as they sat down, and in their wings, was something that made Mikka say, "Blu…come meet your baby sister. Angel." Blu came closer, and saw his new sister. She was a small baby scarlet macaw, asleep, and she was beautiful. So beautiful that it made Blu's grin became very deep before Jewel was let in.
Jewel got to see Angel, and seeing her little face almost made Jewel cry. "Oh my goodness. Congratulations, Mikka and Leo."
Mikka, "Thank you."
Leo, "If you want the others to see her, make sure they don't disturb-"
Then suddenly the other chicks came in. Carlos and Sophia tried to stop them, but Eva, Rafael, Nico, and Pedro became too excited before coming in and crowded themselves at the entrance…and it cracked the whole forted nest apart. Nothing fell on the birds, but Mikka and Leo's nest was officially broken into two.
"Oh my." Sophia said she wing-palmed herself. And Carlos scowled at the kids.
Rafael, "So…sorry?" He and the others chuckled, then saw that Angel was struggling around before going back to sleep.
"Phew." Blu sighed. "I'm so sorry about this."
Leo, "It's alright, buddy. It's not the fault. I like to believe that it's the fault of the four birds who are going to spend some time repairing our nest while we're taking care of our little girl."
"Okay…can't say we didn't deserve that. Sorry, guys." Nico nervously chuckled.
Blu and Jewel just secretly laughed, and were happy to see…that the newest member of their gang wasn't hurt, and appeared to be feeling nothing but total peace. Blu, of all birds, was definitely the happiest and knew that he had the family he needed.
Now finally, after this…we go to the one thing that everyone's been waiting for. The next chapter will finally take place in 2009, a time skip, revealing some of what the entire gang has done for twelve years. Hope you'll like that. Also know that in the next weeks comes a new chapter to…

Now for anything else to mention, I think some questions came in today. Let's see…
One of my FFN buddies (StormKnight089) asked me, "Can you explain what H&A is to me?"
I responded, "Certainly. 'H&A' (or 'Harry and Annabelle' for short) is one of my stories. It is a collection of love stories about a scarlet macaw (Harry) and a blue macaw (Annabelle) ending together on many adventures. If you want to, you can check it out." I smiled. Then came the next question.
One of my oldest FFN friends (Alexriolover95) asked, "If you were a pony, what would you imagine your cutie-mark to be?" Then I replied, "I'm not sure. Since we both love writing and making stories, maybe mine would be similar to your OC-Self's (Drawn Pen). Or better yet, be some other image that best represents story-making. Like make a Toy Story symbol, haha. Or perhaps a collaboration of all my top favorite stories. Either way it's tough to imagine it."
Plus, I also wanted to mention something about a couple movies I wanted to see, but can't and that doesn't really matter right now. However, I do know that there is still a lot of fun stuff coming up. Movies, games, and new chapters for the stories we make. As for me, I still can't tell when my official Missionary call will come, but I'm getting close. So please wish me luck once that starts.
So with that, I say I'm done and hope you guys have a good weekend. See ya!
PS, if you want to, please be sure to check out my other stories from FictionPress. Happy Fantasy, Copied Creations, and my 9/11 oneshot, A Day of Heroes.
