Thank you for taking the time to read this crappy story. Please feel free to let me know what you think. I took the idea of hermione being royalty from another story, how the other half lives by literary late nights. If you love this story, then that one is going to blow your mind. Enough of my rambling. Enjoy the chapter!

Hermione stepped into the headmistress's office, which was previously Dumbledore's office. Professor McGonagall gestured for Hermione to take a seat before taking a seat herself. Hermione was wondering why the hell she was here when McGonagall spoke up. "That speech was something miss granger." McGonagall said, clearly impressed. "It was nothing really. I mean, everyone was being so daft about the whole ordeal that I'm surprised they listened to me." Hermione replied absentmindedly. When she realized what she had said she covered her mouth.

"Sorry professor." Hermione apologized sheepishly. McGonagall chuckled. "it's quite alright miss granger. This is not however the main topic I wish to discuss with you. We are just waiting for-" McGonagall was cut off by a door opening. "Professor McGonagall?" said a voice. Hermione turned to find Draco Malfoy at the door. "Well look what the black cat dragged in." Hermione smirked. Draco rolled his eyes playfully. "Please take a seat Mr. Malfoy." McGonagall said. Draco took a seat next to Hermione.

"Now what is this about?" Draco asked. "This meeting is about some of your duties as head boy and girl-" McGonagall was once again cut off by a door opening. This time it was ginny. "Ginny what are you doing here?" Hermione asked, perplexed. "Yes, miss Weasley, is it anything urgent?" McGonagall asked. Ginny regarded her question for a minute before turning to Hermione. "Definitely. It's Ron. He is being a prat again." Ginny informed. "I am unsure how that is urgent" McGonagall said. Ginny sighed. She was dreading telling Hermione this. Ginny bit her lip before she spoke.

"He is yelling about you protecting Slytherin. He said some things that I'm pretty sure would make you more than enraged." Ginny said. Hermione just let out a shaky breath. "Am I right in thinking you would like to handle this alone, miss granger?" McGonagall asked. Hermione nodded. She didn't trust her voice. She still didn't quite understand what ginny had said. Was he really saying things that bad? She suddenly felt herself growing irate. "Let's go ginny" Hermione said, and the pair left. Draco followed closely after, not missing his chance to watch granger put weasel in his place.

Hermione walked briskly with ginny to the great hall. She arrived just in time to catch Ron's last remark. "What the bloody hell is she playing at, being nice to Slytherin? Is she completely mental?" Ron said.

"Ronald Weasley, how dare you!?" Hermione said. Ron jumped. At that moment, Hermione sounded so much like Mrs. Weasley, that saying Ron was terrified was putting it mildly. "How dare you!? Slytherin have more than redeemed themselves! If you have a problem with me defending innocents, then God help you!" Hermione started letting her rage out.

Everyone in the great hall looked at Hermione, startled. It was one thing for Hermione to stand up for Slytherin in front of everyone but to yell at one of her best friends? What had happened to her over the summer? Whatever it was they liked it. "Their Slytherin Hermione! All they are is a bunch of death eaters! A few months ago, they would call you a mudblood without remorse!" Ron retorted. Hermione flinched at the words 'death eater' and 'mudblood'. "Uh oh" ginny muttered under her breath. Now ron had done it. Ginny and harry feared for Ron's life.

"They are not death eaters anymore! They've changed! They're good! How thick can you possibly be? They are not all bad! Get it through your head. They. Are. Good." Hermione looked as though she would explode with rage. Ron however was close to matching her level of anger. "You're calling me thick? How the hell did they hoodwink you? And friends with Malfoy and Parkinson? Have you gone bloody mental!? You shouldn't be within a 10-mile radius of them!" Ron yelled. Hermione seethed with anger. Before anyone knew it she slapped Ron. Hard.

"You do not control what I do. You know what? I give up. Stay away from me. As you say, come within 10 miles of me and I will make you wish you weren't born. Good luck, Ronald Weasley. You will need it" Hermione then turned on her heel and was moving to exit the great hall when Ron grabbed her arm.

"You can't just end our friendship!" Ron said with indignation. "You call it friendship? Name one time you hung out with me without asking me for homework." Hermione crossed her arms and waited. "Well? You can't think of one?" Hermione said mockingly. "Well, you were the smartest person I knew" Ron held his arms up defensively. "Why do you think that was? I had nothing else interesting to talk about except my family!" Hermione yelled.

Just then she realized what she had said. She recoiled a little. No one knew the truth about who her family was. Because she wasn't a normal muggle like she led everyone to believe. She was in fact royalty. Her grandmother was the queen. She was frankly quite hurt that no one had figured it out yet. Shows how much they pay attention to her.

"what's so special about your family? It's not like they are royalty." Ron said, bringing her back to the argument. She laughed. Ron had been exactly right but had dismissed it. Because he didn't think she could be anything special. She was looking forward to his face when he figured it out. There was no way she was going to tell him. "You know what? If you think I am so average and not worth anything to you then you will have no problem staying away from me." Hermione then turned on her heel once more and walked out of the great hall, smiling at the fact of Ron sputtering a response.

When she was outside of the hall she leaned against a wall and breathed heavily. When she opened her eyes, she found Draco Malfoy, smirking at her. "Are you alright, your majesty?"
