Chapter 1: The Ship Raid

During the darkest of night in a bank fog, lies a dragon trapper ship. Many dragons are locked in cages, while Ivar, a Dragon Trapper, patrols the area. One dragon roars in frustration, and Ivar taps on the cage.

"Quite!" Ivan snapped at the dragon.

And then saw two shadowy figures that came out of the fog, some people wearing what look like an armor, and then the two lights up what appear to be a couple of fire swords, giving more details of what calls is Night Fury dragons armor become clear, as the two were a male and female, the male and female's dragon armor have a helmet, pauldrons, chest plating, a scaled codpiece, torso guards, gauntlet and gloves, scaled leggings and knee guards, and a single boot for the male since he has a left peg leg while the female have both sets with some signs of breast bones showing a little. There are also two wing structures kept folded for flight when needed. It even has Night Fury scales so that it has a predominantly black color. The scales appear to be attached to a black leather base. And they even have the Night Fury symbols on the shoulder pads and the waist side of the armor while the female's Night Fury symbol is more dark purple while the male's red.

"What are you two?" Ivan asked, weary with a little nervousness.

"Shh!" The two intruders shh the trapper at the same time.

And then came two Night Furies that climbed down a cage each behind Ivar, one a female on the right while the others a male with their spines on their backs glowing blue. The Trapper then attacks the two armored warriors with his spear, but the two duck it, swipe while blocking a jab and toss the spear away, and then accidentally knocks a lamp, causing the floor to burst into flames. The two armored warriors and their Night Furies come out of the fire unharmed, thanks to the fireproof dragon scales.

"AAHHH! YOU'RE TWO DEMONS!" Ivan cried out in fear.

"Rude!" The female called out, and its voice revealed Hicca.

The male stepped in. "Shhh! Shh, shh, shh! No, no! We're not demons! We're not demons!" Then came a quiet voice that revealed itself to be Hiccup. The Haddock Twins take off their masks to show to the trapper. "See? Just a guy and his twin sister! Just a guy and his twin sister, here to rescue these dragons, so…" Hiccup explained casualty.

"But you both walked through fire!" Iva exclaimed fearfully to the walking through fire thing.

"Dragon Scales!" The Haddock Twins quietly pointed out their armors to the trapper.

"Dragons shed a lot." Hiccup finished as it turns out since their dragons shed so much, they used their dragon's shed scales to make an armor that can take beatens while also protecting them from fires, thanks to the inspiration from Drago Bludvist from his Dragon Skin Cape, they collected enough scales to make dragon armor, without removing any dragon skins.

Ivan was still not believing a word they said. "Ooh! I know a demon when I see one! No human legs are that skinny!" he pointed out to both the Haddock Twins legs, yes they were still skinny but that doesn't mean they don't know strength.

He was about to make a run for it, but then landing in a blaze of glory was Snotlout Jorgenson. Snotlout too was wearing Dragon armor there that was a bit more flamboyant than the Haddock Twins', it was bright red orange and yellow, his helmet was the exact shape of that of a Monstrous Nightmare and he insisted on having a cape.

His Monstrous Nightmare, Hookfang burst into flames and they began to advance towards Ivar.

"Think that was a big action entrance!" he said, stretching his arms out. "Get a load of me!" Sadly he forgot to fireproof the seat of his pants, which meant that his rear end was now on fire. "Aah!"

Hiccup rubbed his forehead while Hicca facepalmed herself as they felt one of its headaches coming on as Ivar was now even more terrified. Snotlout began running around trying to put himself out by rubbing his butt on the wooden floor of the deck.

"AAH! I KNEW IT! MORE DEMONS?!" Ivar yelled.

"That's really just a nitwit who forgot to fireproof his butt." Hiccup sighed.

"That he somehow keeps forgetting and still gets his behind burning." Hicca added while wondering why Snotlout keeps getting his rear end burning, even when they discover dragon scales.

Then dropping in was a Purple Deadly Nadder and hopping off was its Rider, Raeda Henderson, the Haddock Twins' best friend and Snotlout's girlfriend, in her own Dragon armor. Her armor was made of purple dragon scales and her helmet resembled a Deadly Nadder too.

The girl shook her head in disbelief, "Snotlout, I thought I told you to make sure every part of your armor was fireproof." She told her boyfriend.

"I fell asleep when I was making my armor! I forgot to do the rear part!" Snotlout cried out as he had finally managed to put himself out, but then a serpent two-headed dragon appeared out of the mist.

"Guys, no!" Snotlout cried as he ran for it. "Not yet!"

Suddenly there was a huge explosion which sent Snotlout flying across the deck. Then emerging from the smoke were Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thorston on their Hideous Zippleback, Barf and Belch. The two of them were also wearing armor which was green with a brown tint.

However, their styles were completely different from one another. Ruffnut's suit was embellished with two horns and a fin on the helmet, and various rounded protuberances resembling those on Barf and Belch. She now had two long ponytails and were cascading them down her front.

Tuffnut's on the other had a large number of large, metal-tipped spikes and a miniature head on the helmet resembling Belch. His gloves were a bit more bulky and resembled dragon heads and for some strange reason he had wrapped his hair around his chin and pretended that it was a beard.

Tuffnut emerged from the smoke with his arms outstretched. "Behold, your worst nightmare…"

Ruffnut then emerged. "Behold—"

Tuffnut groaned in annoyance as he raised his visor. "…along with his sister who insisted on coming."

Ruffnut lifted her visor and glared at him. "That's my intro?" She questioned her brother.

And then appearing behind them is Camo the Changewing. And then appearing in front of him is Valerie Ragmok, Tuffnut's girlfriend. Her armor was made from shedded Changewing skin sewn together with fabric, and her helmet had two curved horns at the side similar to a Changewings and on her shoulder blades, she has ribbons like Changewing whiskers.

"Behold…Your worst Nightmare's Girlfriend." Valerie jokes.

Tuffnut laughed from that. "Oh-ha-ha! Good one Val! Very accurate!" He complimented.

"Thank you." Valerie said with a laugh as well.

Hiccup and Hicca looked at them. "Guys! Too soon. You always come in too soon!" Hiccup pointed out indignantly.

"You guys really need to work on your timings!" Hicca added.

Then as if this stealth operation couldn't get any worse, a large husky young man landed at his feet. This was Fishlegs Ingerman, Ruffnut's Boyfriend, who was now growing a small blond mustache and he too was wearing dragon armor. His armor was a dark brown and had thick metal balls, mimicking those of Meatlug bumps over his armor.

"Not you too, Fishlegs." Hicca sighs, seeing that their friends' stealth needs work.

"Sorry, still getting the hang of my wings," Fishlegs apologized.

The Haddock twins then noticed the baby Gronkle poking its head out of the pouch in the front of his armor. This was Fishmeat, one of the children belonging to his Gronckle, Meatlug.

"Fishlegs, again with the baby?" said Hiccup in disbelief. "This is a raid."

"We talked about this before we left!" Hicca added in disbelief, since bringing a baby to a missing person is dangerous.

"I couldn't find a sitter." Fishlegs said in defense, since he didn't have time to find a sitter for his baby dragon.

"You could've left him with the Toothless and Midnight's cubs with Gobber when we asked him to look after them while we're gone." Hicca pointed out as Hiccup nodded in agreement, having left Toothless and Midnight's cubs with Gobber to look after them while they're gone.

"I didn't have time to make a detour before we went on the raid. We were on a time limit." Fishlegs explained.

Ivar gets so scared of the Dragon Riders in armor and runs away as quickly as he could. "DEMONS EVERYWHERE! IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!" He yelled.

He was just about to ring the bell when someone kicked him in the face slamming his head against the cage, knocking him out cold. That someone was Astrid Hofferson, Hiccup's betrothed, like all the others she was wearing dragon armor which was like Raeda's, only light blue and she had some metal skulls embroidered on her belt.

Astrid stretched her back as her Deadly Nadder, Stormfly, landed beside her.

"Astrid! we had him right where we wanted him," Hiccup complained.

"And now he's right where we wanted him," Astrid said, raising her visor.

And then jumping from the sky is Henry Grimborn, Hicca's boyfriend, as Henry is wearing an armor mixed with his five dragons, that gave a rainbow like color as he has his swords sheathed while his helmet is shaped like a Snifflehunch, his arms like a Sandwrath, the body design is like a Thunderclaw, and the legs were like a Thornridge.

Henry opened up his helmet visor as he looked around before giving a bored expression. "Let me guess, the stealth mission went Talons-Up?" He asked with an amusing tone.

"Yes." The Haddock twins and Astrid answered together.

Henry shook his head with a chuckle from that. "We've really gotta work on our teamwork." He said before he pats Hiccup on the chest. "Alright, Haddock, let's get to work."

"He's right." Astrid said in agreement as she patted Hiccup on the shoulder. "Let's go." She said as she walked off.

Hiccup looked at the others. "Okay, we screwed that up. But, at least nobody else knows we're here."

"Don't jinx it bro. Knowing our luck, it's never that easy." Hicca said with a bored tone, knowing they were not that lucky in the past.

Sadly, Hicca was correct as the commotion they had started to attract the attention of the trappers on the opposite end of the ship.

Hiccup made his way and opened the cage containing a Scuttleclaw.

"Easy, girl," he said gently as he approached her. She snarled at him, no doubt thinking that he was one of the trappers. "It's okay. Shh!" He then placed his hand on her snout and she relaxed. "We're gonna get you out of here."

(Linebreak)

In another part, Hicca opened a cage that showed a Razorwhip as it crawled out.

"Easy, metal girl." Hicca said as she placed her hand on her snout as the Razorwhip relaxed. "It's gonna be okay." She said in a calm tone with a smile.

(Linebreak)

Fishlegs opened a particularly large cage and emerging from it was a particularly large dragon, almost bigger than a Boneknapper. Its horns were extremely wide and were obviously made for charging and Fishlegs can help but get excited.

"Ooh! A Crimson Goregutter!" Fishlegs said, barely able to hold his excitement. "Ooooh, hoo, hoo!" He squealed in excitement.

The Crimson Goregutter looks Fishmeat in his pouch and appears very much relaxed upon seeing him.

Ruffnut was leaning against a cage containing a Hobgobbler. This dragon was about the same size of a Terrible Terror and it just sat there like a lump looking at an eyeball with its tongue.

"Ha. Ha. Look at this weirdo," Ruffnut laughed. "I bet it's super dumb." She then attempted to open the cage, pull it with all her might, but it didn't budge an inch. "Why can't I get this cage open?"

Astrid, and Valerie then appeared as Astrid slid the lock open. "It slides." Astrid said.

Ruffnut was hanging onto the cage as it opened slightly. "Obviously."

"You didn't even see the lock, Ruff." Valerie commented in amusement.

"Attack!" A voice cried.

They turned and saw Dragon Trappers were charging at them with weapons drawn and with angry looks on their faces

Hiccup looked at the others. "Get the rescued out of here!" He ordered.

Hiccup then pulled out Inferno and set it ablaze, as it pulled out her battleax and Raeda her bow and arrows. Immediately they began to engage the Trappers, Astrid was the first one to clash weapons with. Toothless and Midnight then scampered into the mist and disappeared from sight, seconds later Hiccup and Hicca then appeared and began battling their foes.

Hiccup managed to slam a Trappers ax into the deck and then Toothless came in and head-butted him and he landed near Tuffnut's feet while Hicca then blocked a swing from a trapper's ax as she kicked him away as Midnight came by and tailed wanked him off the deck.

"No running on the deck! It's slippery," Tuffnut quipped as he tried to open the cage. The Trapper got to his feet and raised his ax, but Ruffnut pulled it out of his hands before he could strike her brother. "You can fall."

Then to prove his point he opened the cage backing into the Trapper, causing him to trip over his own ax.

Valerie then turned invisible as the guards got confused for a sec before she reappeared from behind them as she clobbered them over the heads really hard and knocked them out.

"Can't hit what you can't see coming." Valerie commented with a smirk before a few more were rushing from behind her as something invisible just whipped them away as Valerie turned and saw Camo appear behind her. "Thank's Camo!" She called out with a wave as Camo roared in response as he ran else where.

"Step aside!" Snotlout yelled as he charged into the fray. "Let me handle the tough guy stuff!"

He then swung his hammer at two Trappers, but they easily dodged his swing. Unfortunately, the swing caused his helmet, which was not fitted properly, to spin around until it was on backwards. The trappers were about to attack Snotlout, but Hookfang, who had been standing on top of one of the cages, unleashed a burst of fire down upon them causing them to run away.

Snotlout managed to get his helmet back on straight and saw them running, thinking he scared them off. "Yee ha! That's two for me!" He declared.

A trio of trappers tried to sneak up on him from behind but were knocked away by Raeda, swinging on rope, "And that's three for me!" She boasted with her hands on her hips.

She ran off as Snotlout looked at her in awe, "She's awesome." He said dopely.

Two Trappers were now facing Fishlegs and one of them was swinging his warhammer at him.

"Look out!" Fishlegs yelled as he ducked, causing the Trapper to strike his comrade.

"Sorry," said the Trapper.

Then the rescued Goregutter struck the Trapper with his tail.

The Haddock twins, Astrid and Henry were busy engaging the Trappers. Henry managed to dodge the swing of a Trapper and then quickly performed a leg sweep knocking him to the ground. Hicca managed to disarm her opponent and then send him backwards with a powerful kick to the stomach. Hiccup managed to block the attack from his opponent, and then punched him in the face causing him to spin around in circles. He then removed the Trappers helmet and Astrid slammed the butt of an ax on his head knocking him out cold.

A couple of more Trappers then came in charging towards Hiccup and Hicca, but they quickly opened the cage causing them to slam into the door. Toothless and Midnight then head-butted him so hard that they were sent into the cage and Hiccup quickly locked it.

"Thank you." Hiccup said as he petted Toothless in gratitude.

"Thanks, Midnight." Hicca said as she petted Midnight as well.

'Anytime, Hiccup.' Toothless cooed to Hiccup.

'We always have your backs, you two.' Midnight cooed as well.

"Now, get the rest, you two!" Hiccup said to the two Night Furies.

"We'll take care of the trappers!" Hicca added.

'Right!' Both Night Furies said as they rushed off to get the other dragons and deal with the rest of the trappers along the way.

The Haddock twins retract their Infernos as they approach Astrid and Henry, Astrid manages to disarm the Trapper she was fighting against, sending his sword into the air while Henry uses his swords at a hunter before kicking him off. Astrid then quickly kicked the Trapper in between the legs sending a massive surge of pain to his body.

Henry cringed from that as he looked at the Hofferson girl. "You know us guys feel bad when you do that to other guys, right Astrid?" He asked with a cringed look.

"Well, a warrior gotta win a fight somehow." Astrid said with a shrug.

Astrid then looked at Hiccup as he and his sister were inserting another canister into their Infernos and caught the sword of the Trapper Astrid disarmed. "I thought this was supposed to be a stealth mission." She said to the twins.

Hiccup reignited Inferno and stood her back to back. "Yeah, they always start that way." He answered to Astrid.

Henry managed to slam a powerful elbow in the face of a trap and looked at the three of them. "If we wanted this to be a stealth mission, why did we bring the Thorston twins, Valerie or Snotlout along?" He asked, wanting them to know why they brought the four free-lancing riders on this mission.

"We're asking ourselves the same question," Hicca said uncertainly, not sure themselves.

"Look out!" Astrid yelled as a Trapper came charging to them with some of the spear.

However before he could get anywhere close to them, Stormfly appeared out of nowhere and grabbed him. She then flew over the ship and tossed him into the sea before flying off.

"Thanks, Stormfly!" Astrid yelled to her dragon.

'Your welcome, Astrid!" Stormfly roared to her rider as she flew off to deal with more trappers.

Looking down at them from the mast was the Haddock twins' mother, Valka and standing beside her was her dragon, a Stromcutter called Cloudjumper. Cloudjumper looked at Valka with a concerned look about the mission.

"Oh stop worrying." Valka said to Cloudjumper. "They'll get it." She said, sure that her childrens and their friends will be okay and that they can handle themselves.

"Run!" Snotlout yelled charging in with a hammer in hand.

He then jumped off the cage he was running off throwing his hammer at the same time. Unfortunately his hammer struck nothing particularly useful and his cape snagged on the cage leaving them hanging in the air.

Valka shook her head. "Eventually." She sighed.

Raeda ran up to Snotlout in concern. "You okay, Snotlout!?" She called out.

"I'm fine! It's just my cape!" Snotlout responded as he struggled to get it loose. "Just keep on without me! I'll find a way to get free!" He assured her.

"Okay!" Raeda answered as she then shot an arrow at a trapper as she ran off to free some more dragons.

Hicca looked at Hiccup as she was spending a Trapper. "Hiccup, I think we got all the dragons. And I think it is time for us to leave." She called out to her brother.

Hicca then immediately sidestepped and slammed the Trapper's head into the cage next to her brother.

Hiccup had to agree with Hicca's assessment and it looked as if they had got everything Dragon. "Move out! We got them all!" He called out to his fellow riders

"Dragon Riders, fall back! Mission accomplished!" Hicca called out as well.

At that point a bunch of trappers was starting to surround the twins.

"I'm gonna headlock every last one of you," Tuffnut said, pointing his beard at them. "I might even leglock you!"

Fortunately Barf and Belch were standing on the cage behind them and grabbed the two of them before flying off.

Hookfang too landed on the cage where his Rider was hanging in a timely rescue.

"Amateurs!" said Snotlout, who was completely oblivious to his situation. "I was just getting started." He taunted.

Hookfang then grabbed his Rider and took off, before he got himself killed.

'You really need to stop boasting while your life is in danger, Snotlout.' Hookfang grunted to his rider as they flew off.

"Clear out, guys!" Astrid yelled as she jumped on Stormfly. "Go! Go!"

"At least this part of the plan worked out," Raeda sighed as she mounted Sparkfire.

"Let's get out of here before reinforcements show up!" Henry called out as he mounted on Wildstar as he and his five dragons flew off.

"Time to disappear!" Valerie quipped as she jumped on Camo as the two disappeared as they went into camouflage mode.

Fishlegs ran towards the side of the ship and jumped over the side and landed on top of Meatlug, who had been hovering below.

Toothless and Midnight were making their way through the cages and something caught their eye.

'Did you see something, Toothless? Because I thought I saw something in that cage.' Midnight said to her mate in confusion.

Toothless turned towards one of the cages, but found it completely empty. 'Not sure. I thought I saw it too, but what?' He questioned, not sure himself.

"Toothless! Time to go!" Hiccup called.

"Midnight! We have to move!" Hicca called out next.

Toothless and Midnight looked at each other as they shrugged and raced towards Hiccup and Hicca, but unbeknownst to the Dragon Riders they had saved all but two dragons. These dragons resembled a Night Fury in almost every way, but had bright white scales which perfectly camouflaged them within the mist and their eyes were bright blue rather than green while the adult covered its cub with its wings.

Hiccup and Hicca were still waiting for their rides and they deactivated their Infernos, only to find that they were completely surrounded by Trappers, all armed to the teeth and they clearly weren't happy that they just stole all their profit.

"Oh! Hey, guys!" Hiccup greeted as he and his sister backed away towards the edge of the ship slowly.

"We know we have ruined your shipping but these dragons are not for selling or for slaves." Hicca said as she and her brother kept walking backwards to the edge.

A Trapper smiled viciously raising his sword, but at that moment Toothless and Midnight came rushing in knocking many of the Trappers as they ran towards the Haddock. They soon busted their way through and grabbed their respected riders and the four of them took off.

"Ha! Ha!" Hiccup laughed. "You two always have our backs, bud!" He said to Toothless.

"Midnight! You are the best dragon!" Hicca cheered as she hugged her dragon as they and the others flew off with the dragons they had rescued.

'Always, Hiccup.' Toothless roared gently to his rider.

'Anytime, Hicca.' Midnight warbled happily to her rider.

The Trappers were now left in a ship with almost every single cage empty and this wasn't the first batch of dragons they had lost.
