Ok so that fact that I make so many of these probably means that I should stop. I see far more negative reviews than positive ones and while I'm sure that's the loud minority it does become somewhat discouraging. Also, this series is meant to be a wild lewd fanfic of a series and by no means is a faithful retelling of anything the original author made. Consider it a guilty pleasure if you will. The reason I used an OC for this is because (ironically) I've always found it a little strange to use someone else's made character as my mc. A fine line I know as I use many other known characters but hey, that's my preference.
Anyhow, when I find the time to write these things on a whim I do so and rarely have the time to edit and proof read them. While I'm sure my lack of literary finesse offends a certain amount of people I'm not about to spend so much time editing something that is just meant to be a bit of fun. If I had that much time I'd use it on my more "official" projects in life. Why do you think I stop updating this for so long?
I've read some pretty wild Percy Jackson fanfics in the past and I thought that this one would be no different. Now I know that harsh critics simply come with the territory but if more hate it then love it then I suppose I could always write these things for myself. However, it would seem that plenty of people do follow and/or favorite this story. So tell me, should I continue writing this fanfic? Or should I move onto a franchise that is a little less murderously devout to what they think is right? Or perhaps I should just stop sharing these small "guilty pleasure" projects and just keep them to myself. Again, the fact that I have these doubts probably speaks volumes to my own self confidence and insecurities but why spend my time sharing things that will only lead to death threats?
P.S. most of the negative comments that I have mentioned are regulated reviews that I have moderated.
