Chapter 9
I pause before going back to room and I remember that Sonic is still freezing in the cell. I hit a 180 and I jump down the stairs and down the hallway to head to the chambers. I get there and I notice someone is standing in the cell where sonic is. The chambers are very dark, so it is hard to see someone. I look at the cell secretly and then I hear a loud boom of a voice. I stand up and then I walk near the door only to find out it's my dad.
I stand behind my dad and I look at Sonic passed his shoulder. Sonic's eyes soon connect to mine causing my dad to turn around and look at me.
"Good morning father", I say normally, and my dad brings me into a hug and says
"Good morning my beautiful daughter, are you well?" he asks and my mind flashes back from what I said to him when I walked away from Axel last night.
"I am fine…I just needed some time to think", I say. I look at Sonic again he is shaking so much. I feel bad and I water bend the water from the floor and into the ceiling and I freeze it. It doesn't do much based on how Sonic is still shaking violently.
"Amy what are you doing, the poor boy is not going to freeze to death", he says.
"But father...I think it is pointless to do this, knowing the other side of the story now and after a long time of thinking overnight." I hear Sonic laugh a little at my statement and I ignore it.
"Mother also wouldn't let him stay here and suffer even though he is fire kingdom royalty".
My dad looks at me and then to Sonic. He then says,
"Well Sonic would you like to eat something", he says loudly.
Sonic nods while shivering and my father walks up to him slowly and reaches down and releases him from the non-bending cuffs. As soon as they are off a warm heat comes from Sonic body and then his shivering stops and Sonic sighs in relief. My dad motions me to follow him and they both pass me. Sonic does not look at me once and pushes pass me through the door. I take note of that action and I close the jailcell door and I follow them out of the chambers. I soon see Rouge with the fire bending clothes I ask for.
She hands me the clothes but doesn't look at me because she is looking at Sonic angrily.
"Wow they let you off the hook quick" she spats at him and Sonic replies.
"Yeah they did, I must have done something to win their trust back", he says sarcastically but it was only sarcastic to my dad because both Rouge and I, knew what he meant by that. I change the subject by handing him his clothes and he takes it and says a dry thank you.
My dad then motions Sonic to follow him and Sonic turns away from me and Rouge and follows my dad. I don't follow them this time. I look at Rouge and she is looking at me sympathetically. I shake my head and I head for my room and I hear her footsteps behind me.
"He seems pretty mad about what you told him", she whispers.
"He is not even looking at me Rouge", I say stopping halfway on the stairs to look at her. She stops as well.
"Why not just tell him the truth" she says
"I have told him the truth, I don't want to date or become anything to no one".
"No, I mean your true feelings", she says while now continuing to go up the stairs.
"Why not tell him you like him just as he does you",
I shake my head at her request and say.
"I don't really like him though…well I do but... I don't.", I say. Saying that even felt weird and now I feel like I am not being true to myself anymore.
We both walk some more to my room and I notice my food is waiting for me outside my room. Rouge stops at my door and turns to me.
"Baby, all I can tell you is this", she comes closer to me and whispers
"Better know your feelings or else you will burn yourself", she says and pats me on the head. Before I can ask what, she means she turns her heel and walks off. I look down to my plate of food and sigh. I walk inside my room and I don't bring my food in. I get on all fours and I reach from under my bed for the bag. I grab and I double check all the things inside. I then stand and I head for my door. Before I leave, I look at the picture of my mom and me.
I was on her shoulders and she created a fire heart with her two fingers as the picture was taken. I kiss the picture and then I place it down. I walk out my room and I head towards where my dad and Sonic went.
I walk into the room where they were, and I see Sonic and my dad both eating. I look from the corner of the room and I watch my Sonic say something that I cannot hear and then my dad's laughs a hearty laugh.
"They are laughing together", I think and then I awkwardly walk in the room causing everyone to look at me...but Sonic. Sonic continues to eat his food. I stare at him and then my dad yells. "Amy come sit and eat with us!" he barks from across the room. My workers in the kitchen quickly grabs a seat for me and puts it right near Sonic.
I really don't want to sit by him right now, but I cannot cause a scene",
I walk up to the seat placed before me and I sit down beside Sonic and in front my father. Food and water are placed before me and I start to eat. My father continues to talk loudly about old times of himself and Sonic replies back to him cheerfully. I watch the conversation in awe and then I move my foot and my leg hits Sonics. I blush immediately and I don't look up.
I hear the conversation stop and I look to my dad looking at me and then to Sonic. My dad then orders, someone people to take his food away because he is full. Sonic and me still have half of our food left.
"I am going to go get a photo album and show you my times in training school Sonic," he says happily and stands and exits. I watch my dad leave and then I look down to my food.
"Maybe I should say something to clear the air", and then I look up to Sonic who is already looking at me. I blush mad hard and then I look away and I stuff my face with food. I put my hand on the side of my face to cover up the blush. I soon feel a warm hand on mine and it gets pulled away from my face and leans into my ear.
"Stop hiding your face from me", he says deeply.
My heart jumps at the sound of his voice and freeze.
He lets go of my hand and goes back to eating simply but my mind flashes back to last night again, remembering the time he wanted me to remove my hands from my face so he can watch me enjoy it. I close my legs tighter and I continue to try to eat. Thankfully, my dad comes back with a big photo album that he has shown me 20 million times before, reminding me of his old days and how he trained to become the great king he was today. He places the album book down and Sonic looks at the pictures in amazement. He then comes across a picture and looks at it confusingly. My dad leans down to the picture and then his eyes get softer. He looks at me and back at Sonic saying.
"That's my wife…. Quartelia…she was a fire bender as well, so I see why she catches your attention", he speaks softly. I hear the name of my mother and I look to my dad. He is looking at me and smiles softly.
"She looks just like your daughter", Sonic says observing the picture.
My dad nods softly and smiles. I lean in to look at the picture is well. My mother is standing in a fighting position and is creating beautiful waves of fire, all around her. Her hair was the same color as mine and her smiles was as strong as ever.
I smile softly at the picture and then my dad stands up.
"I am going to go take care of somethings now. Amelia I am sure you can watch over Sonic as he prepares to leave Asendel and go back to his kingdom".
My father reaches out his hand for Sonic to shake and Sonic takes it and shakes it. My father smiles at the both of us and walks away, leaving the photo album on the table. I look over to Sonic and he is still eyeing my mother. He then closes the album book and looks to me.
"So are we doing this now or what", he says with no emotion, going back to still being mad at me.
"Yeah we can go, we will walk out of the front and then make our way back to where the purple man attacked me", I say quietly, and I start to stand. Sonic stands as well and I know notice he has the clothes I gave him on. A long-sleeved black shirt made out of the material I see the other fire benders wearing and some grey pants and fighting shoes.
"Wait, did they ever find the guy", he questioned stretching his long arms.
"Rouge told me he was not there when the guards went to look for him but at least we can go there first" I say. We walk down the hallway and to the entrance. I look around my kingdom once again before I take another adventure from it. I look at my pictures of my grandparents, statues of fierce soldiers, and gorgeous flowers placed in clear vases. We stop before we exit, and I look to Sonic.
"Okay do you remember then plan", I say and sonic simply nods.
He creates a flame in his palm and shoots it to the side of the building, making a very loud noise. He then picks me up and throws me on the side of his shoulder and runs fast with help of fire to boost him through my kingdom fast. I watch behind him and I soon hear my sirens go off and my guards spill from the kingdom like ants, looking at the damage done. Just as planned, Sonic shoots himself and me on top of a building, that was not too far away from my kingdom. I scream loudly and I see my guards look in that direction. Soon I see some fire benders start to fly towards my way and I pat on Sonics shoulder to let him know we should go now.
Sonic nods and he runs and jumps off of the building. He then sprints throw town and goes into a dark alley way. The only thing I can see so far is the flames from his feet as he runs and dodges obstacles in his way. He cuts left and I look to right and I see my guards go the opposite way. Soon sonic stops and taps me on my foot. I turn around and I see one of my water bending guards looking at me. He yells loudly calling the other guards to come back him up.
Sonic then charges at him and water comes from the right from a river and heads for Sonics head. Sonic slides his foot under my guard and he falls but then as he falls, he freezes sonic foot. Sonic then dodges a punch coming from my guard and I feel my guard put his hand on my ankle. I look down and I melt the ice on Sonic's foot and Sonic hits his arm off of my ankle is kicks my guard from across the street. My guard flips and falls. Sonic turns around and continues to run. This time Sonic runs faster and the wind whips through my hair. Sonic busts into a small bakery and everyone looks at us in fear.
"EVERYOEN GET DOWN", Sonic yells and everyone does so and goes under the tables and counters. I watch my citizens look at me in fear. I want to say something to reassure them, but I simply say.
"Please do what he says", I spat, and they nod their head and proceeds to get down. Sonic then quickly heads to the kitchen and closes it. No one is in here, so he places me down for the time being. I look at Sonic and say.
"I think you are being a little too rough with my people", I whisper.
Sonic pays no attention to what I say and goes to look out a window. He then looks back to me and says.
"Okay they all took the bait and is going to the opposite direction".
He walks up to me and picks me up again and puts me back on his shoulder. He walks out of the door quietly and then heads for the entrance again. Fire comes from his feet and again he takes off through my kingdom. I watch my kingdom and I look at all the citizens going crazy. I feel bad for doing this too them, but I have to do this to save them. I soon feel Sonic hand move closer up my thigh as he runs more throughout the kingdom. I ignore it at first and then I feel him go a little higher.
I jerk my head up and I bonk him in the head. I hear him chuckle and he moves his hand back down to where they were before. We finally make it to the entrance, and we see more guards. My guards yell at Sonic to stop and release me but we have other plans. Sonic creates a fire blast and shoots in the air, and I catch it by quickly water bending water on his fire and we create a thick mist around us making us disappear.
I hear feet head in our direction but Sonic blast into the air as my guards fly in the thick mist. In air Sonic looks down and then looks forward. He shoots a big blast of fire in all directions in the sky and then blasts off straight. I look around and I see the fire blast travel far. It was a good plan they won't tell which way we went. Sonic continues to fly downward the pathway of Asendel and then lands in a tree. Her carefully puts me on a branch and then he goes and sits on a different one ahead of me.
The sirens goo off in the distance and Sonic is breathing heavily from all the hard work of trying to escape.
"Phew, that was a lot" I think as we wait to make sure no one heads this way...
I look at Sonic while he is trying to catch his breath. I choose this time to speak and I say.
"Why don't you talk to me as much anymore".
Sonic glances at me and then looks away. I start to get annoyed of this game and I say.
"Can you just tell me what's on your mind then? You don't even look at me anymore and I told you I just can't do this right now, okay"
He looks at me slowly and says
"If you can't do this right then why does it matter to talk"
"Because I don't want to ruin our friendship Sonic"
He scoffs and says
"We aren't losing our friendship, that's why I am distancing myself from you since we aren't becoming anything more", he says coldly.
"Okay but it seems like you are mad" I say looking at him in the eyes.
"Well I obviously like you and you just threw my feelings in the trash before I could even tell you", he says annoyed.
"Sonic, I didn't mean to throw your feelings away like that, I am sorry if I hurt you, okay?"
He looks at me after my statement and speaks.
"Amelia, I truly don't care for an apology right now, I just want to find the guy who killed my commander", he says and then starts to climb down the tree.
"But Sonic wait", I say following him, "please don't be mad at me… I do care about your feelings".
Sonic starts to move faster down the tree, and I do so as well.
"Trust me, it is hard trying to be friends with you" I say and Sonic moves faster down the tree skipping branches. I watch him go faster and I shake my head. He jumps out of the tree and stands on the pave way. I jump off and I catch up behind him.
I notice he isn't following the plan, so I whisper,
"Hey, wait… don't forget I need you to carry me so these people in purple think you are kidnapping me",
He stops and then picks me up, carrying me on his back in silence and I look at his hands. I then slowly speak.
"Last night I just needed a distraction from everything that was happening and honestly now. I can't stop thinking about what happened between us… I um...", I look at Sonic and he doesn't look back at me.
"I don't know what I am trying to say but… can you please say something", I say, and he stops in his tracks.
"What do you want me to say… you said you don't want to be anything more so I will keep my distance, so I don't fall for you anymore... If you don't want me fine, I get it and I am not mad at you anymore, it's your decision…you don't like me and I like you, let's just drop it and look forward.",
"Oh…okay" I say sadly. Sonic continues walking as I try to think about what he just said.
"I feel kind of sad I won't be able to be close to him again but maybe this is for the best. We both have more important things to focus on".
My thought makes me lift my head up confidently. We soon make it to the area where the man in purple ambushed me.
CHAPTER 14
Sonic POV
I carry Amelia on my back, and I walk to the area where we were yesterday morning. Amelia jumps from my back and goes to the area to inspect it. I watch her look at the ground carefully and then she looks to the right of her and goes deeper into the forest. I follow her and she speaks.
"I see footsteps going this way", She says while watching the footprints carefully. We walk more and then we stop once we notice the footprints end from the cliff ahead of us. Amelia runs towards the cliff and looks down it. I come up behind her and notices a water fall from the left of us far away but down it was more forest. The fall went so far to the until there way ground again. Amelia looks back at me and says.
"I think we need to go down there, based on how the footprints",
"Okay" I say as I reach out my hand to her and she takes it. I was about to pick her up but a blast of comes at us. I push Amelia just in time to dodge it and she moves to the other edge of the cliff. I look to the way the water went and then soon a slice of water cuts the cliff clean through. Suddenly I notice we are falling, and I look at Amelia to see her trying to look where the water came from. I shoot fire out and I catch Amelia bridal style as we fall in midair. She holds on to me and then yells at me then she pushes me away from her as I spin in the midair. I spin wildly trying to stop myself from flipping through out the fall. I look at Amelia and she catches water bends the water that was thrown at us and launches it back but turn the water into a sharp ice sickle. While being distracted, water suddenly takes out the fire on my feet and I start to fall quicker.
Amelia notices and water bends the water from my feet. I try to fire bending from my feet, but nothing comes out. Amelia eyes widen and she begins to spin wildly in the air. I use a fire blast from my hand, and I move close to her catching her. I shoot fire from my hands and I try to slow us down. My fire doesn't stop us that quick though and we go through trees. The branches scratch me and hard and causes me to wince.
WHAM!
Amy POV
I watch Sonic head hit a thick branch and he lets go of me.
"He lost consciousness", I thought as I finally hit the ground first. My leg hits the ground first and then so does the rest of my body. I try to get up fast and I catch Sonic, barely just in time before he plops to the ground. I look at him and I pat his face, wanting him to wake up and he doesn't.
"Sonic no... please wake up", I say and then I hear noises from above.
I think it's the guys in purple trying to catch us."
I pick up Sonics body and I lift him on my shoulders and back. Sonic is very heavy, but I walk carefully through the forest, looking for shelter. I sped up as I hear more noises from behind me. Soon an ice blade flies past my head and hits a tree.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck", I say, and I carefully push unconscious Sonic into a bush, and I turn to face who was trying to fight us. I turn and I see no one. Everything is quiet. I rustle behind me and I whip around quickly only to see nothing. I water bend water around both of my arms, creating octopus like arms. In the corner of my eye I soon see a foot in a tree branch. Without turning around, I water bend and I grab at the person's ankle and I swing them down, hard on the ground in front me. The person has the mysterious purple clothing on again and I freeze them on the ground causing them not being able to move. I release the water from my other hand, and I walk to the person who tried to ambush us.
I grab at the person's mask and I whip it off. It's a purple chameleon with gold eyes. He looks at me, angrily and struggles under the grip of the ice I put him in. I lean down and I punch him in the face. He winces as I grab his head and I make him look at me.
"WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR", I yell at him.
He says nothing and shakes his head away my grip and continues to try to get out.
"Okay…...ignore me if you want", I say as I water bend a sharp blade of ice. The purple chameleon's eyes widen as I point it at his face. I swing the ice blade to his head, and he dodges it just in time, barely missing as I slice the end of his hair off.
"I am not playing, NOW TELL ME WHO SENT YOU", I say.
He still says nothing and ignores me. Anger rushes through me. I was about to hit him again until a warm hand touches my shoulder. I jump around and I see its Sonic, holding his head in pain.
"Your powerful interrogation woke me", Sonic said laughing a bit and then he looks past me at the guy, who tried to spit on me.
"You almost got put in the same position as him to", I say looking at his head. A knot was starting to form on his head, and I reach to touch it.
"Noooo don't touch it, it hurts really bad", he says and then moves around me and squats in front of the chameleon.
"Hey", Sonic says, and the chameleon eyes widen at his face. The chameleon now starts to thrash against the ice. Sonic and I look at him in confusion as the chameleon stats to freak out.
"Hey hey, calm down...All I said was hey", says Sonic as he sits by the prisoner.
"Now, why were you following us", he asks as his friendly tone changes into more of a serious one. The chameleon thinks of his answer before he speaks and says.
"I…. I cannot sa- ",
Sonic cuts him off by place his palm on his face. The chameleon then freaks out more as he is now not able to talk. I watch behind Sonic in awe as he makes this random guy so scared.
"Look, me and her… we aren't here for wasting time alright... and especially not me, so I am going to give you one more chance before I blow your teeth out,… now when I move your hand, please tell me why you are following us okay?" Sonic says in the scariest tone, I ever heard him talk in.
"No wonder he is about to be king…. he has the power for it", I think as I watch Sonic slowly remove his hand from the Chameleon. The Chameleon looks at Sonic with so much fear in his eyes.
"I-I-I was sent out here to follow you guys", he spats as he eyes Sonic and his hand down. Sonic gives him another death glare and says.
"Okay and from who"
"My my my leader" he says. Sonic then moves his hand back over to his face and the Chameleon screams.
"Name", Sonic questions creating a small flame in front of the Chameleon face. The Chameleon stares at the flame like he is looking into death.
"H-H- HE DOESN'T HAVE A NAME", he stutters out. Sonic mouth twitches and he places his hand on the Chameleons mouth and the Chameleon starts to scream. I soon see a small heat wave coming from Sonics palm and the Chameleon starts screaming in pain. I wince at the Chameleon shaking in pain and I grab Sonic's shoulder. He looks at me and I say.
"Wait maybe he is telling the truth", I say loudly over the Chameleon yelling from still being burned.
"What leader does not reveal his name to his soldiers", Sonic says
"Maybe one who does not want to be found out by his enemies", I say, and I move down and I grab Sonic arm and I pull his hand off. The Chameleon winces in pain and looks at Sonic.
"The fire kingdom is full of heartless fools! "This is why the leader was right about making us go after your people. The leader will take over all kingdoms and make this world equal again. WERE WATER RULES OVER ALL", the chameleon yells.
Sonic looks at him with no emotion and pulls his fist up.
"Wait", I say to Sonic. I bend down to the Chameleon and he flinches thinking I am about to hurt him next.
"Why does your leader want that", I ask and the Chameleon smiles and speaks.
"Princess…the leader wants exactly what you want…equality... and the only ones stopping the both of you is fire kingdom royality. The leader has been wanting to have the chance to speak with you about this opportunity, but you keep taking in fire benders yourself… the leader wants to show you how a world without fire could be calm once again. All fire does is burn bridges we try to fix remember. The leader is waiting for your princess. Do not be scared when he does appear. He is an ally." Says the Chameleon and then he looks to Sonic.
"But you prince, "YOUR SINS SHALL BE DEALT WITH AS YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING BETTER AS WE HAVE BEEN DOING. THAT'S WHY YOU AND THE PRINCESS WILL NEVER BE A THING."
My eyes widen to his words and it makes me think about how much he has seen
"THAT'S WHY SHE WONT BE WITH YOU PRINCE SONIC. WHY WONT YOU FIREBENDERS UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR KIND IS IMPOSSIBLE TO LINK DESERVES TO BE WITH SOMEONE LESS DANGEROUS, LIKE OUR LEADER. YOU ARE A DANGER TOO ALL OTHER BENDERS IN THE WORLD… YOU WILL BE BROUGHT DOWN AND DESTROYED YOU HEAR ME... WE WILL WASH YOUR KINGDOM OUT AND ALL THE FIRE BENDERS OFF THIS PLANE- ",
I sock the chameleon hard in the face before he is able to finish his "speech". The chameleon knocks out from the punch and I melt the ice around him. I then look back at Sonic too see him looking away. His eyes looked pained.
"Hey...are you- ", I was cut off by Sonic getting up and walking away.
"Hey wait! What about the guy", I say as Sonic continues to walk?
I turn and I freeze the chameleon to the ground, in a big, thick, block of ice so he won't be able to follow us when he wakes back up. I turn around and I run to catch up to Sonic.
"Hey, hey wait up", I say trying to catch up to Sonic. Sonic continues to walk through, and I finally catch up with him. I walk from behind him and say.
"Hey, don't listen to that, the guy is obviously crazy, and brain washed "I say, and I get no feedback from Sonic. I sigh and I walk behind him and notice little water splashes hit the ground. One hits me in the head, causing me to look up.
"Rain is coming in", I say to Sonic still not getting a response. I soon feel a strong heat and It causes me to move away from Sonic.
"Why is he creating this heat", I think as I watch him walk more far away from me.
"Hey what's the deal with the heat", I yell out and the rain starts to pick even more. The rain hits Sonic's body and it sizzles. The rain annoyingly hits my face and I start to water bend the water from my face. Also, the annoying feeling from this heat starts to irate me fast.
"SONIC CAN PLEASE STOP PUSHING ME AWAY THIS IS GETTING ANNOYING", I yell, and he continues not to look at me.
I water bend myself in the air from plants and the heavy rain and I shoot myself in front of Sonic entering his heat. The heat consumes me for 2 seconds causing me to wince and immediately fall to the ground from the pressure and Sonic stops his heat.
"What are you doing" he asks bending down to pick me up. I let him pick me and I look into his eyes
"No what are you doing!" I say pushing him back, "You just left me back there!". Sonic looks away and walks past me, but I walk in front of him.
"Am- "
"NO, tell me why you are moving away from me", I say, and he looks at me in the face. He tries to move away from me again, but I move in front of him. He starts to get annoyed and then he grabs me and pushes me out of the way, but I grab on his arm. He tries to pry off my hands from his arm, but I don't let go. He walks backwards and tries to push me away more. He gets my hands free from his arm and tries to take off and I grab his leg.
"Amy, please let go", Sonic complains loudly, and he drags me against the wet ground, trying to walk.
"You are trying to distance yourself from me and I don't want that… I told you that". Sonic then bends down and tries to pry my fingers from his ankles. I think fast and I move myself on his whole leg, sitting on his foot and Sonic sighs while looking up at the sky. He then reaches down for me and uses his strength and I slowly come off of his leg. He moves quickly and I feel his heat rush back to his body,
I rush at before he does it and I tackle him and we both roll down a hill. I shriek a little and Sonic grab my body as we roll down the long hill in the rain. I try to slow us down by creating ice but that just causes us to spin around down the hill. I hear Sonic laugh as we spin together. I laugh too and we slowly stop at the end of the hill. I stop ice bending and we hit the grass causing us to fly but sonic still holds on to my body. We both hit the ground and grunt from the impact. I l fall on top of Sonic and I slowly lean up from him.
He looks at me as the rain hits his face.
"Soni- "I was cut off by a loud crash of thunder causing us to jump. Sonic stands up and so do I. I water bend the water around us creating a huge forcefield trying to keep us dry while Sonic looks around.
"I see a treehouse up ahead" Sonic says, and I look his way and I see a dark brown treehouse. We start walking to it and we climb the tree inside. Sonic goes in first to make sure no one is here and its empty. I walk in and look around. There is a blanket, random papers, and a lantern for light. I walk up to the lantern and I twist the nob and light enters the treehouse. I water bend all the water from my soaked clothes and I throw it out of the window. I then look to Sonic who was looking outside the other treehouses window. I secretly water bend the water from him as well causing him to look back at me.
I smile softly and I throw the water out the window as well.
I sit down in the treehouse and I listen to the rain hit the treehouse. Sonic then sits down as well and quietly creates a small heat for me.
"Thanks", I say and Sonic nods his head.
I look at Sonic from afar and he notices that I am staring at him. I don't look away though and I speak.
"Tell me what's on your mind", I say, and he then blinks slow and looks off.
He doesn't speak after I ask him, and I speak once again.
"Well, that guy was definitely from the same people who are trying to catch us…it also sounds like they are water benders... maybe they are from Asendel…Ugh all this information is a tad bit confusing... like what did they mean trying to make the world equal. They are killing innocents to make the world equal. That does not make a lot of sense... what do you think?"
Sonic then looks to his hands in his lap and stares at it. I crawl towards him and he looks up a little bit. I grab his warm hand and he looks at me.
"Is it what he said about us?", I say softly.
He looks at me and then looks down.
"Everything he said was right... all the fire kingdom did while my mother was alive… she broke so many trust and took down so many kingdoms… and then with me trying to rise as king and change make everything normal,..everyone still sees her in my face…" Sonic release my hand from his and continues to talk
"… I try so hard not to act like my mother but parts of her runs through me when I get angry… That's why I am trying to distance myself from you... the chameleon was right when he says we destroy everything because we do, we can't help it and that's why you should not be close to me because I don't want to hurt yo-"
I cut off him before he says that idiotic thing and I hug him tightly. I feel him grow hot and then he calms his heat down. I feel his hands go to my waist and he tries to push me from him.
"Amelia please… don't hug me... we shouldn't have even came together or I might put you in danger and you are making it hard to no- "
"Sonic you are not dangerous, you said you was trying to change the fire kingdom and yourself" I say pulling away from him, " yes you are hot headed and violent at times but this you… and I feel like all fire benders belong in this world as anyone does. I see everyone as equal and I believe that you can do it for your kingdom too" I say while smiling at him. He slowly looks at me and I gently reach and rub the knot on his head.
He suddenly places his hand on my back, and I look at him confused. I look at his arm and then back to him and he kisses my lips.
I was about to pull away, but I feel a warm heat come from Sonic. The same alluring heat that always makes me feel safe and I place my other hand on his face, and I kiss him back.
A lot has happened in this chapter but its nothing compared on whats to come!
