AHHH! WELCOME BACK TO BOOK 2 OF WHEN FIRE TOUCHES WATER. I AM SO EXICTED TO COME BACK TO THIS STORY BECAUSE WHAT I HAVE IN STORE IT WILL SURELY BLOW YOU GUYS AWAY. ENJOYY.

*THIS IS BOOK 2. READ WHEN FIRE TOUCHES WATER FIRST*

SONIC POV

A bright light shines in my eyes as I slowly open them. I blink a couple times, but everything is still blurry. I also notice that on one side of my face is really dark…like something is covering it. I slowly reach up in curiosity and I touch my eye, noticing that a bandage was over it.

I touch it again and I wince in pain as my head starts to hurt. I drop my hand down instantly as I start to feel weak from touching my head until I start to hear vibrations of voices. The vibrations get louder causing me to gently turn my head as the pain increases.

I blink my eyes a couple times as figures are beside me waving their hands in the air and moving their arms in my direction.

"What's… what's going on" I think as I turn my head back up to the ceiling as the dizziness from head starts to take place. I close my eyes and I try to focus on getting my fuzzy head back on track, but the loud vibrations were keeping me from doing so. The loud vibrations soon turn into weird muffles causing me to turn back to the noise and then the muffling turned into parts of voices here and there. I squint my eyes trying to figure out who the blobs where and then a sharp pain sends in my causing me to gasp out in pain. The voices soon stop, and I open my eyes. One of the blobs moves to me but the other blob stops it and then the voices start blasting back into my ear as a migraine was already on the approach to hit my head.

"…IC… FAULT…YOU ALL… IED"

"GUYS… AL… DOWN"

"What…. What are they saying?" I think as I try to focus one more time and finally the voices come into clear.

"TAILS THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! LOOK AT HIM. YOU KNOW WE ALL COULD HAVE SETTLED THIS IF YOU WOULD HAVE JUST SAID SOMETHING TO KNUCKLES AND THEN IT COULD HAVE BEEN TALKED OUT INSTEAD OF YOU HITTING SONIC IN THE HEAD WITH A BLOCK OF STONE" a familiar voice yells.

"Blaz…Blaze?" I think as I slowly blink my eyes more and they start to appear clearer.

"Oh, and then what? SO, you guys can CONTINUE to baby someone who HAS PRIVIELEGED! Blaze you have no fucking idea what you are even talking about AND EVEN IF I brought it up again, everyone would just kiss HIS ASS" Tails says yelling at Blaze.

They continue to argue, and my eyes move to Knuckles who is trying to keep them both away from me. My eyes slowly move down to my body and I notice that I have some bandages here and there. I also start to notice that we are all in a cell. A white cell with nothing in it but this wooden bed that I am laying on. The pain comes back and this time I grab my head and I turn over on my side.

"He is awake- "

A blast of heat flies into the room and I know exactly who it was from.

Blaze.

"Blaze stop! He is probably in a lot of pain- "

A sound of someone getting thrown to wall makes me open my eyes and slowly roll back over. Everyone is wrestling which each other now causing me to look at them in confusion. Knuckles was holding Blaze back; Tails was getting choked by Blaze and Knuckles was getting held onto by Tails. I place my hand on the bed and I try to move myself up slowly sitting on my butt. The headache continues to pulse through my head but I try to ignore it so I could stop my friends from fighting and make sense of what was going on.

"… guys sto- "

My heart flies out of my chest and I widen my eyes. I slowly get on my feet ignoring the pain that I was feeling in my head.

"Me and Tail's fight… did I lose" I think, and I went to touch my face again. I notice that the bandage was going across my entire head and that Tails who was being held down looked completely fine. A lot better than I felt.

"That means…Amy… she- "I look around the room to make sure what I was thinking wasn't true… and it was.

I start to breathe quickly at the realization that I had lost. I slowly walk back to the bench I was laying on and I slowly sit down on it trying to make sense of what was happening. Tails laugh brings me back to earth and I look at him in the eye.

"She is fucking gone" Tails says.

"Gone…"

"SONIC! YOU LIED TO ME YOU JERK!" Blaze yells trying to get out of Knuckles grip.

"Lied… so if Blaze knows then everyone must… know" I think as I wonder about what my citizens were probably thinking of me.

"Everyone knows… that means my dad knows- I lied to him and Cheyenne… he knows as well. "I think and I soon start to feel sick to my stomach.

"Aww, LOOK AT THE DUMB PRINCE- "

Knuckles cuts Tails off from talking by covering his mouth and then Knuckles looks at me.

"Sonic everyone knows now. Cheyenne, the King, Jet, the towns people… everyone knows…" Knuckles says looking at me.

Blaze finally breaks from Knuckles grip and then leaps at me. I watch her as she makes it to my way angrily. Her hands goes across my face and I simply let her hit me.

"I deserve this" I think as Blaze grabs my collar.

"You… you lied to me. You said that you- "Blaze starts to choke on her tears causing me to look at her.

"What do I even say to her… what am I going to say to everyone" I think the stinging of the slap subsides.

"AH! I AM SO ANGRY AT YOU" Blaze yells punching the wall and creating a hole.

I look away from her and then I look back at Tails remembering what he said.

"If I lost… Amelia was going to leave the kingdom" I think to myself as I try to stand up again.

Knuckles runs to my side and helps me down and I shrug him away.

"Knuckles. You have to stop. I betrayed the fire kingdom" I say moving away from him.

"Okay, but you are also my friend and I am sure with some understanding that your dad may be willing to understand why you did what you did" Knuckles says moving closer to me.

"KNUCKLES JUST STOP" I yell at him finally getting him to stop.

"You are in this cell because of me. Everyone is. Just stop… all I do is create issues for everyone in here so just leave me be- "

"Sonic stop trying to play the victim, you shithead. We wouldn't have gotten in this situation if you just would have killed the princess in the first place- "

I charge at Tails and Knuckles stops me from doing so. Tails stands up and laughs at me again.

"WHAT'S SO FUNNY!" I yell as Knuckles holds me back.

"Because finally you got what you deserved! Now you will see how it feels to lose the one you LIKE as WELL" Tails yells back.

I stop thrashing in Knuckles grip and I look at him in confusion.

"What… what do you mean" I say assuming the worst was happening to Amelia or has already happened.

"Let's just say…" Tails says and sits down in the corner of the cell with his legs crossed.

"She might see her mother a lot faster than expected" Tails finishes, and my eyes widen.

"You- You said you was just going to kick her out! WHAT ELSE DID YOU DO" I say trying to break free from Knuckles grip.

"I shot her in the stomach and told her safe travels. Man… who knows if she is even alive right now because from what did to her, I am sure she is super low on blood" Tails says stretching his arms.

My brain starts to go silent as I listen to the words coming out of his mouth. I look at Knuckles and he has a sad expression his face.

"What… what happened to her- Is she alive" I say as my breathing starts to pick up.

"The guards said they watched her walk away weakly and when they went out to search for her all they could find was blood in one area… but besides that they couldn't find her" Knuckles says.

"Blood" I think as I slowly sink to the floor. I stare at the floor and run my fingers through my hands.

"Amelia…Amelia." I think as I try not to imagine all the pain, she was in right now.

"no… there is no way she is gone. Maybe if I try to escape from here then I can go find her. I have to try something." I think feeling a tear wind up in my eye. I stand up and I walk to the door of the chamber and I beat on it.

"Sonic… they aren't going to let you out" Knuckles says but I ignore him. I just can't sit here and wait for news to find out if she is okay.

"How long have I been out" I say as I turn around to Knuckles and he makes the same face again.

"Probably 9 hours" he says as he sits down on the bench.

My heart thumps loudly as I realize how long I have been asleep.

"9… hours…9" I think and then I look back at the door.

I punch at the door as anger flies into my mind. I continue to punch and punch it until my knuckles start to ache.

"She… she has been on her own for 9 hours… bleeding out possibly"

I turn around and I slide down the door sitting on the cold white floor. Sharp pains come and go in my head causing me to wince from time to time. I throw my hand at the door one last time in anger and Blaze stands up and walks to me.

"Stop! Princess Amelia is the entire reason why we are all in this situation in the first place!" Blaze says but I ignore her.

"And on top of that… you lied to me! You said that we would be together and that you didn't want to be in a relationship right now, but the truth was that you were just with some water bending BITCH!" Blaze yells to the top of her lungs.

"Okay. So, what Blaze. You know the truth now. Yes. I was lying to you the whole time and even before Amelia came to the kingdom, I was lying to you. Even before we graduated high school, I was lying to you. Now that you know how much I am a piece of shit; do you really think that I care about me and you having a romantic relationship- "

I get cut off from taking as Blaze fist goes across my head sending me to the other side of the room from the force. My body hits the ground, but my mind keeps spinning as the concussion I already have is sure about to get a lot worse. My vision starts to get blurry as the vibrations of voices start to fill my ears again. Heat comes and goes as well as

"I… deserved that" I think as I start to black out again.

"I-I betrayed my kingdom. I lied to them and they accepted my lie because they trust me and now, I betrayed them… All they did trust me and follow, and I betrayed them. Why… Why am I such an idiot. All I do is break trusts over and over again.

"I told you this would happen, Sonic" says a voice.

I open my eyes to see my mother standing over me.

"You betrayed the entire kingdom. Wow." She says and wraps her hands behind her back.

"I can almost guarantee that your father and Cheyenne are arguing back in forth trying to decide if they should kick you out or just take your prince role away from you…tsk tsk." My mom says and sits down beside me.

She grabs my head gently and places it in her lap and she runs her hand through my hair making sure not to touch my bandage.

"And look at you. Tails really did a number on you and that was expected as well because once again you are a softie. Aww, my poor baby." My mom says looking over my face.

"I'm sorry, I betrayed the kingdom mom… I'm sorry I can never push myself to do things. I haven't been able to a single thing right my entire life- "

"Sonic stop. This isn't your fault. None of this is. It's just a choice you decided to make because that's what you think is right and well… it was a "choice", but all choices have consequences. I made a choice to attack the girl you "like" and it ended up in getting me killed and leaving my kingdom for good." She says and looks away from me staring ahead.

"Time will pass anyway, you can either spend it creating the life you want or spend it living the life you don't want. The choice is yours"

The sounds of voices start to become louder and my mom looks the direction of where it is coming and smiles softly.

"And you have a great group of friends who still care about you, even if it doesn't look like it. That's how you all are here in the first place." She says turning my head to the darkness but the sound where all the noises were coming from.

My mother touch slowly starts to disappear from my face, and I look up at her to see her fading into the darkness.

"Mother… when will I see you again" I say watching her disappear.

"Whenever you make another choice… I am always watching you Sonic… in the Darkness" my mother says and suddenly I appear back into the white cell.

I blink a couple times and then I slowly pick myself up. I move myself to the wall and I watch Blaze, Tails, and Knuckles argue about something.

Probably about me again.

I slowly stand up with my head throbbing from being punched and I make my way over to them. I push them away from each other as they were yelling at each other faces and they all look at me in anger… but they were listening.

"Guys… I'm sorry. This is all my fault and no I am not expecting an apology or anything kind towards my way but… we have to get out of here and find Amelia. It's the only way too- "

"I AM NOT DOING ANYTHING THAT HAS TO DEAL WITH THAT BITCH-" Blaze yells at me.

"HEY, LET HIM FINISH." Knuckles yells at Blaze.

"Knuckles! Stop kissing Sonic's ass- "

Knuckles grabs me by my shirt and pulls me in the air threthingly.

"YOU CONTINUE TO SAY I AM KISSING HIS ASS BUT THIS GUY IS THE REASON WHY I AM IN HERE AS WELL. YOU DON'T THINK I AM MAD TOO? YOU GUYS HAVE NO CLUE, I AM THE ONE WHO FOUND OUT FIRST. I AM THE ONE WHO HAD TO HIDE THE PRINCESS AND SNEAK HER INTO THE PARTY. I AM THE ONE WHO KEPT THE BIGGEST SECRET IN THE FIRE KINGDOM AND ALL I GOT OUT OF IT WAS A DEMOTION AND THROWN IN ONE OF THE MOST SECURED PRISON CELLS IN THE KINGDOM. SO, WHO IS KISSING SONIC'S ASS BESIDES BLAZE THIRSTY SELF" Knuckles yells silencing Blaze and Tails in the process. Knuckles drops me to the ground and steps back letting me speak.

"Well… like I said before… I don't know what I am going to have to do to get your trusts back but… I am sorry even though the word sorry is probably the weakest thing I can do." I say placing my hand on my chest.

They all nod their head and I sigh as we got something out of the way I am sure that is going to come back eventually.

"For now,… we have to get out and I promise to be honest from here on out. I promise even though that promise may seem… sketchy at this moment but I promise to never lie again but I can tell you guys everything that has happened" I say walking back a bit.

"I… saved Amelia that day she was supposed to be executed so that, I could make a treaty with the water kingdom. I wanted to fix things because the problems going on between everyone and our kingdom is evil, vile and all of the above but soon it became more that because… I had fallen in love with her. Her courageousness, laugh, intelligence, really had me and I'm sorry Blaze for telling you once I got back but yes, I lied." I say looking at Blaze who looked like she wanted to punch me again.

"On top of that… I didn't tell Knuckles about my plans or ambitions. Well I kind of did but I never said when I was going to do that. I was going to go find out who killed one of our commanders and turns out it was Amelia's ex who almost killed me and her at his hideout, that is on the ocean. He called himself and everyone else equalist and they were going to wipe out every fire bender so everyone could be equal again and of course I couldn't let that happen so I went with Amy… fell more in love with her and then I proceeded to go into his secret hideout and I killed the guy. I shot him right though the chest with my feet. Afterwards, Amy was beaten pretty bad, so I brought here and didn't tell anyone and then well… you all saw the rest of what happened". I say and everyone looks at me and nods.

"Another thing. New information to Blaze. Tails had a girlfriend in high school. She was a water bender was well, but she was a spy. They got caught and my mother made me kill her in front of Tails and Knuckles who was hiding secretly and that's… my final reason why we have to find Amelia so… no one in love with another bender has to go through what Tails went through." I say looking at Tails.

"I killed her and everyday- I think about if I just would have been stronger, I wouldn't have to kill an innocent water bender and my best friend trust" I say feeling tears prick at my eyes.

"I- I didn't want to do it but it happened and now all I can do is fix it to where it never happens again… finding Amelia has nothing to do with my heart but it has to do with restoring peace and balance in world… we shouldn't live like this and I want to change that. " I say looking at them.

"Only if, she is alive. Then maybe… just maybe. It won't be too late for me to change things once and for all."

"No" Blaze says and walks away to sit down.

I watch her walk away but I notice than Knuckles and Tails stand near me.

"Blaze… if we don't at least try then how can we stop all the bullshit in the world- "

"We? I was completely fine on how things were going until you decide to betray us. I am not helping out in this new plan of yours" she says.

I walk up to Blaze and I place my hand on her shoulder.

"Blaze, listen- "

"Get off!" she says moving my hand from her.

I grab her instead and I pull her into a hug.

"Blaze… I'm sorry. Forget everything I said earlier about not caring about because I do. You really are one of my closest friends and all you did was care for me, only for me to treat you like shit but I need you. I… I have to stop doing things alone so please just… hear me out" I say pulling her back and looking at her in the face.

A tear comes down her cheek and I wipe it away.

"I'm… I am so sorry, and this isn't even about the plan. I never should have done that too you and I hope you can forgive me whenever you feel like you would want too but for now… I need my strongest fire benders in the kingdom to help me out with this plan."

"…fine. But if Amelia is alive. I am punching her straight in the mouth for lying to me as well." Blaze says moving away from me angrily.

I nod my head and I turn around to Tails and Knuckles. I walk to them and Tails rolls his eyes.

"So, what are you going to hug me too." Tails says not believing anything I am saying.

I walk up to Tails and he looks at me confused. I bring into a hug and I pull him in tight.

"Help me create the world you and Cosmo should have had" I say feeling tears come into my eyes again.

"Why didn't you tell me that was the reason why she was here. I wouldn't have thrown her out- and why are you still fighting for me. I hit you in the head and I possibly killed the princess and yet, you still trust me" Tails and I back up from him. I notice that Tails has tears in his eyes as well.

"…Because you are my best friend. Like a brother to me so I couldn't be mad at you Tails. I never could have. I care about you so much" I say, and Tails eyes widen.

"And I know that's hard to believe but I will make you believe it when I change the world." I say to him and then I move to Knuckles.

"Knuckles. I- "

"Look just save me the apology we have already had this discussion, but the only thing I am mad about is that Tails and Blaze got to hit you before I did" Knuckles says laughing and brining me in for a hug. I chuckle and I hug him back.

"I have an idea on how to escape" Tails says suddenly making us look at him.

I smile at him and then I move closer to him and so does Blaze and Knuckles to hear the plan.

"So, let's hear it"
