AMY POV
I breathe heavily as I watch my friends my attack each other.
"Why… how did they even get to this point and this location to be doing this- "
The way Sonic looks makes me start running because I could see a flame appearing in his hand. Shadow didn't see it and that is what is making me afraid since he didn't watch him coming.
"I have to stop this!"
I gather as much water as I can from the plants. Mist, and grass and I take off towards them.
"STOP!" I yell and everyone looks over to me from the side of my voice and I throw the water at them and I spread them apart and freeze them in the air as I send a big wave of water.
I breathe heavily after running for so long after trying to keep up with Shadow and they all look at me shocked. I look around and I notice Sonic, Knuckles, Blaze, and Tails watching me closely and then my eyes go to Rouge and Axel who had tears in their eyes.
I hear footsteps beside me, and I see Cream run around the frozen wave I created, holding confused people and she runs towards me.
"Princess!" Silver yells and I look over to him he breaks from the ice and flies towards me.
"Oh shit. He thinks Cream is the enemy- "
"HEY! YOU GET AWAY FROM HER!" Axel yells breaking from the ice and he tackles Sliver and then Shadow breaks from the ice as well and aggressively wraps his arms around Axel.
Shadow slams Axel head on the ground and then a burst of fire breaks the entire ice wave I created and Sonic dashes towards Shadow and jumps on him to pull him Axel.
"GET OFF OF HIM! ALL YOU DO IS DOUBLE TEAM!" Sonic yells and they all start wrestling and pushes each other.
I watch them and then I sigh as I walk over to them.
"STOP FIGHTING!" I yell angrily and they all stop and look at me.
Silver moves over and blast everyone away with his air and then he stands up and grabs my hand.
"T-The prince is here! You have to run- "
"No, it's fine, Silver." I say and I let go of his hand and he looks at me confused as I watch Axel dust himself off and then he looks up at me.
Tears peak in my eyes and Axel gets up and runs over to me. He grabs my body and buries me in his chest. A tear slips from my eye as wrap my arms around his neck.
"Oh, my chaos. Amelia." He says and then he pulls back and looks at me.
He touches my hair and looks over me.
"I'm fine. The air benders fixed me." I say and he looks up at the Silver who was looking at me shocked.
"Amy!" Rouge yells and she runs to me and I hug her as well.
Cream comes over to and I hug both of them.
"Amy… we thought we lost you! How did you get all the way over here?" she asks.
"The air benders… they found me outside the kingdom." I say and they look towards them.
"You cut your hair? It looks good." Rouge says with tears in her eyes and I laugh, and I bring them all back into a hug.
I release the hug and I turn around to see the fire benders and… the prince. My eyes wonder around them and I avoid eyes with one person. I step up but Shadow walks up to the them and they get back into a fighting position.
"Shadow wait!" I yell and he turns back to me and storms up to me angrily.
"I told you she was a threat!" Shadow yells looking at Silver and Silver looks at me and then back to him.
"Now! The Prince of the fire kingdom knows that there are people here so what do you think he is going to do with that information!" Shadow says and I touch his arm.
"I'll go. I told I would, if things got bad- "
"They are already bad." He says and wind starts to stir up again.
"I am kicking you all into the ocean and making sure you never come back." He says and he grabs my arm, and my eyes widen since I knew he was going to trigger everyone here since they are here to find me or save me.
Everyone charges at us, but Shadow creates a big twister quickly and blocks anyone from getting in. The wind gets harsh and Shadow starts to fly but I pull him back down.
"SHADOW! JUST WAIT A MOMENT!" I yell and Shadow yanks me from the ground but then something grabs my ankle and I look down to see a hand from the ground.
"Axel…"
Axel pulls me back harshly on the ground and Shadow notices that something was pulling me back so pulls me harder. The ground cracks more and his other hands comes out and he grabs another leg. Then the twister opens in front of me and it shows silver struggling to open it since it was so powerful, but he was opening it. The wind keeps on whirling and I squint as I see him and the others. It opens wide for a second and someone runs through with flames on their feet. Sonic jumps in he grabs at Shadow's hand heat starts to come from it.
Sonic body comes close to mine and he notices he looks at me for a moment and I look at him, but he looks off and stares at Shadow.
"If you don't let go then it will get hot!" He yells and Shadow wind increase so Sonic heat starts even quicker.
Shadow winces and then the twister stops, and he lets go of my hand and so Sonic let's go of his. Axel lets go of my ankle and comes out of the ground and pulls me close to him and away from Sonic. Sonic seems slightly hurt that I was with Axel now and I look at Sonic for a moment and then I look back to Axel.
"He… he isn't the person I thought he was so I can't look at you the same way anymore, Sonic."
Shadow lands on the ground and I turn my head to them.
"Shadow, we aren't going to hurt you or anything!" I yell to him and rubs his wrist that Sonic was holding.
"So, are you on their side now?" Shadow asks looking at Silver and Silver looks around and notices he was standing near the fire kingdom and jogs over to Shadow.
"No… That's not it. You were trying to hurt the princess and I keep telling you that she won't do anything to harm us- "
"But look who is here, Silver!" he says and points to Sonic. "He is here because he came to get the princess back! That's the person's mother who burned down our village and left us to die in flames! Do you not remember that!" Shadow yells and we all stare at him in silence. "He looks just like the queen!"
No one speaks after Shadows yelling but Sonic steps up.
"I'm sorry. I don't know you or where you came from. But I'm sorry that the fire kingdom did that to your village." Sonic says and we all look at him shocked that he would even say that.
"Bullshit." Shadow says and steps up. "Your people and your kind ruin everything you touch. Look at the damage you did to the forest." He speaks.
"Shadow… let's just calm down. They can just leave. It seems like they came for the princess and they got her- "
"But he knows about this location." Shadow says staring at Sonic and walking up and Sonic walks up as well, but Knuckles grabs his arm.
"We only came for the princess but if you want to start something else, we can change plans too." Sonic says smoothly and Shadow frowns at him and exhales as he walks closer and Sonic tries to move forward but Knuckles holds him back.
"You won't make it alive if you continue to stand here." Shadow says and Sonic starts to smile.
"I'd liked to see you try- "
"Hello guests! "says a voice and I look up to see Marine carrying Tikal on her back and they land on the ground near us.
Shadow runs over to Tikal and Marine and protects them.
"What are you two doing here?! It's not safe!"
"Shadow, please. This is nothing but bunch different benders with the same goal which is looking for the Princess Amelia and…"
She looks around at everyone and the damage.
"It looks like it got out of hand." She says and then she looks at Sonic smiles.
"Wow, the fire prince himself. Greetings! It is finally nice to meet you." Tikal says as she starts to walk towards him, and Shadow stops her.
"Lady Tikal- "
"Shadow, it is fine. The prince is different than the others." She says and she moves away from Shadow and walks up to Sonic.
"Welcome to Lena, our home. I am Tikal, the Clairvoyant here." She says and I look over to Shadow who was watching Sonic carefully.
"Clairvoyant?" Blaze says stepping up carefully. "So, you are a fortune teller? I thought they didn't exist anymore- "
"Well, looks like the fire kingdom missed one." Tikal says with a smile and they just stare at her.
Tikal looks at them all confused and then Sonic notices and steps up.
"Prince Sonic from the fire kingdom…" he says, and he points at his people." These are my people Knuckles, Tails, and Blaze. We were traveling with some close friends of the princess from Asendel to find her." He says and then clears his voice." I know you know about the fire kingdom's reputation but we… we are trying to change that- "
"Oh, I am well aware of the fire kingdom's reputation." She says cutting Sonic off and she looks at everyone while smiling. "Well, I am sure everyone is aware of the reputation but also something is different because you all worked together to find Princess Amelia." She says and everyone looks around at each other and Tikal laughs to herself and wraps her arms around her back.
"My, how this is the start of something new! Don't you agree, Prince Sonic?" she says and Sonic shrugs his shoulders.
"Nothing isn't that new since everyone thinks I am going to kill them." Sonic says and Tikal laughs.
"Well, can you blame them? You look exactly like your mother. Slightly terrifying I think but since you have stated multiple times that you are not here for violence but only to find the princess than you are not like your mother. Nor do you act like her. So, why is everyone treating you with such disrespect and stereotypical standpoint?" she asks, and everyone looks around quietly.
"Because he isn't as nice as you think." I think to myself and I look down to my feet, but Tikal clears her throat.
"Princess?" Tikal says and I look over to her.
"Yes, my lady?"
"Isn't it your goal to make everything equal again? She asks and I look at everyone and then I nod my head.
"Yes… that's more than anything I want in the world." I say and Tikal smiles at me.
"Great! Then I think to start off, you should get everyone here very well acquainted with each other so this hostility in this night air can stop lurking around us."
"Acquainted? I'm not sure how to do that… Seems like everyone has very passionate opinions of each other." I say as my eyes come up to Tails and Tails looks off making me scoff.
"I have an idea for you all then!" she says, and we all look at her.
"Tomorrow, since you all have such a loathsome view of each other's characters and all. Then you all can fix this hole you created in the land." She speaks.
"But why?" Shadow asks and Tikal shrugs her shoulders and walks up to him.
"There is no need for hostility when what everyone wants is peace. What is wrong with that? You all have so much in common but just rubbed each other wrong in the wrong way due to outside teaching and bad history, besides we have the next leaders in the world on our land so why not fix the hole created between us and form a respect for one another so that the Prince and the Princess can fix all of the damage." Tikal says and I slightly look at Sonic who was already looking at me and then I look down.
Everyone was super quiet, standing with their kingdom and Tikal notices no one agreed so she starts to walk towards the mountain.
"How about you all stay at our palace for tonight? I can get our chefs to cook you some dinner and you can also stay the night and work on the forest you destroyed tomorrow morning. Come. Come." She speaks.
"What?! You want to let them in? Lady Tikal they don't even know where the palace is. I say let's just let them stay here at least so we don't blow our complete cover- "
"Shadow. That's enough." She says sternly and Shadow looks at her in shock. "Show them the way to the palace and to the lunch area so they can be fed and then show them to their rooms so they can stay because you and everyone here are going to fix the whole created between you." She says and then she turns away and Marine is looking at her in fear since Tikal had to raise her voice at Shadow.
"Let's go." She says Tikal flies herself and Marine follows closely behind her.
We watch her disappear into the mist and then Shadow slowly turns to us.
"Follow me." He says angrily and none of us moves since Shadow was staring at Sonic and we all didn't know what was going to happen.
"Haha, yeah. Come on guys. Let's do as Lady Tikal asks us to do." Silver says as he walks up to Shadow and tries to get him to turn around, but Shadow continues to watch him.
Silver whispers something to Shadow and Shadow scoffs and then he turns around and starts to walk. One by one we start following him and Silver and Silver looks back to me and smiles and jogs back. Axel moves in front of me and Silver rolls his eyes.
"I just want to start over. Since you are Amelia's people and all, I thought it would be nice to introduce myself, even though we just got done trying to kill each other." He says and Axel stares at him up and down.
"Axel, it's okay. Silver saved me so he is good." I say touching Axel and Axel looks at me and then looks back at Silver.
"Plus, it's not like I am the prince of the fire kingdom. Just think of it like that." Silver says and that makes Axel smile slightly.
"You are right. You aren't like that piece of shit behind us." Axel says loudly and I hear Sonic chuckle.
"Hey, Lady Tikal just said I wasn't bad so how about you guys follow your Clairvoyant, before I tell her you are being rude to me. Plus, that's no way to treat a royal since the other royal is getting so much kindness. " Sonic says sarcastically and Silver stares at him as he walks backwards.
"He is still as rude as ever."
Shadow turns around as well and then he stops, and Silver runs into the front of him. Silver turns around and pushes Shadow and Shadow growls and starts walking again.
"Silver is the only one being kind to the royals, I for one want both of you off this land." Shadow says and I frown at him.
"Well, we aren't going nowhere until tomorrow so we can fix what we destroyed so we can at least try to be civil with each other." I say to Shadow who doesn't respond and then I roll my eyes.
"Plus, at least some of us royals are decent human beings so you can't at least be kind to me." I say earning a laugh from some of them.
"You got that right." Silver says and turns around and we continue to walk up to the palace in silence.
Silence goes over the group and one of the fire benders clears their throat.
"Well… not all of us are assholes. Also, Princess your hair looks very nice short." I hear Knuckles say and I remember that Knuckles wasn't one of the crazy fire benders that was trying to kill me or already killed someone I loved.
I turn around to Knuckles and I extend my arms out for a hug which he smiles at me and walks up do to do but Silver and Axel both pull me back.
"Hey, I haven't even done anything for you to look at me like that but slam you guys to the ground since I was trying to protect myself." Knuckles says.
"He is right. Knuckles are okay. He was one of the fire benders that was nice to me there. It's so good to see you." I say moving past them and I hug Knuckles.
"Well, I definitely can say the same to you. After the fight… I wished I could have done something- "
"It's fine. It was a tough situation, so I understand. Thanks for coming to look for me." I say and Knuckles smiles at me and then I look at everyone.
"Actually, thank you all for coming to find me. Sorry, if I put you in any trouble." I say and after I said that Shadow zooms in the air, far ahead and enter the mist.
We all watch Shadow leave without saying a word and then Silver chuckles lightly.
"What would you guys like to eat anyway?" Silver asks and I watch Shadow float away.
After walking for some minutes, we all make it to the palace and everyone goes in shock about how nice, big, and clean the place looks. They also notice the left-over food, instruments, and lanterns sitting in the area and Silver brings up that they celebrated my birthday, which resulted in everyone gasping and telling me happy birthday.
I guess they forgot too since they were so busy stressing about finding me.
Silver takes us to a big wooden room in the far-right back side of the palace because he didn't want us to scare any of the citizens that more unknown people were here and the prince of the fire kingdom, so we had to walk quickly to get there even though everyone was already in their homes asleep. As we enter Silver tells us to wait outside for a moment so he could warn and tell the chefs that we needed some food.
He leaves for a moment and then comes back and motions us in. There are long wooden tables with white cushioned seats. The table also had a yellow-colored quilt on top of it with plates and cups placed for us. I sit down first, and Axel sits beside me and then Rouge, and Cream sit in front of me. Knuckles sits beside me as well which made me slightly happy that he didn't think any ill of me because of the situation and the Tails sat by Cream with Sonic at the end with Blaze who had been quiet since I appeared. The quietness at the tables increases as we just look at each other and avoid eyes with people we didn't too much like yet.
"This is so awkward."
Soon doors open behind us and I turn around and I notice that a kitchen was behind the doors that opened wide and chefs started to come out and place down seasoned cooked vegetables, rice and chicken. That made my stomach growl since I didn't get to finish the food at my party. I look around at everyone's else food and I make eye contact with Blaze who grabs her fork aggressively and then starts to eat.
"Oh, right. She is probably mad because I was dating Sonic and never told her. Also, then I snuck into the party and lied about being someone as well. Great now, Tails, Blaze, and Shadow want to kill me. The list just keeps on getting longer and longer."
I ignore the thought of lying to Blaze like I did with the chicken the chefs made and I sigh heavily since the food tasted amazing. Everyone at the table digs in and it makes me watch them carefully since they were eating so fast.
"How long did they go without eating?" I think as Knuckles picks up the plate and eats and I chuckle at him as I watch clean his plate.
"Ahaha, seems like you guys are enjoying the food." Silver says coming from the kitchen and placing his plate down." I'll get you guys some seconds."
"Thanks." Blaze says and we all look at her, being shocked she could even fathom something nice and Silver chuckles lightly.
"Sure." He says and then he walks off to go ask them to bring in seconds for everyone.
Once Silver leaves again and then comes back, the chefs come back out and place more food down for us. I watch them and I notice how timid they looked giving the fire benders food and once Sonic tried to thank one of them, they practically almost ran away, which made me feel bad that people even had to have that reaction.
The chefs go back to the kitchen to clean up and that left the room with sounds of everyone eating quietly and forks scraping along the plates. I eat my last vegetable and I look up afterwards after eating and Blaze eyes are on my face. I look at her as she just looks at me and then suddenly, I start feeling heat. Everyone starts to feel it since their heads were going towards the end of the table.
"Blaze…" Sonic says, and his voice makes me look away from her and Blaze heat goes down, but it still lingers.
The room goes quiet once more until Knuckles clears his throat.
"Tomorrow is going to be some day… how does she expect us to fix the forest? It's not like we are earth benders or anything." Knuckles says laughing at the end.
"Well, I know we have fake grass and extra trees growing in the back. Also, she is probably going to want us to plant flowers and rewater the ground so the mist can sit somewhere. It's probably going to take us all day, but I think it's needed if Lady Tikal said it was." Silver says with a smile and I nod my head.
"Cool! Axel that means we all are relying on you." I say and I shove his arm slightly making him laugh.
"Sure. But what are the fire benders going to do?" he says, and all the fire benders look at him while he continues to eat." Set the forest on fire so we can start all the way over again?"
The room goes silent again and Silver laughs awkwardly.
"Well, we need people to plant the seeds and lay the grass down. I think we are all needed besides of our bending abilities-
"No, I like Axel's idea." Blaze says and she looks back up straight to me." Let's burn the whole forest down. Since that's all we are good for is burning things down so let's just continue it."
Blaze words makes me annoyed and I respond back.
"I don't see how threating someone's land and saying you want to burn it down is helpful at all." I say and Blaze laughs.
"Axel said it first." He says and I nod my head.
"Yeah, he did. So, Axel apologize and stop making jokes like that. Let's just all get along okay?" I say and Axel looks at me and then sighs.
"Sorry." He says and I smile and then I look back to Blaze, waiting for her to apologize as well but she just laughs again.
"What? You want me to apologize for what I said?"
"Yes. Silver didn't have to bring us here and feed us. So, the least you can do is apologize and not threaten him about burning down his home." I respond to Blaze and her heat grows quick.
"Okay, little princess. Who gave you the authority to- "
"Blaze."
Sonic voice shakes the room and I look off as he speaks.
"Apologize. The princess is making a fair point that we all need go get along. We should be greatful that they are even letting us sit in their palace based off our history so can you just apologize and stop being rude towards them."
"Oh, so now I am just princess to him. At least he knows to call me that instead of my name now."
Blaze heat stops and she blushes slightly stands up.
"Sorry." She says and then she sits down quickly.
"Apology accepted." Silver says and then his eyes wander to the end of the table.
"Prince…Sonic?" Silver says and Sonic looks at him while drinking from his cup.
"Yeah?"
Silver laughs and sits up and leans more over the table.
"I think we should reintroduce ourselves- better yet! Maybe we all should!" Silver says and he stands up and I laugh at him as a small blush appears on his face.
"I am Silver, the second guardian of Lena. I am also an air bender and a fun fact about me… I've never met an earth bender… until now!" he says, and Axel looks over at him. "So, Axel you should go next and say a fun fact about yourself."
Axel looks at me and I encourage him on by smiling at him. Axel slowly stands up and Silver sits down, and everyone looks at him.
"Name's Axel, earth bender. Captain of the Royal Guard for Asendel and a fun fact about me is that I couldn't earth bend until I was thirteen." Axel says and then sits down and taps my shoulder.
"Okay. I'm pretty sure everyone knows me but since we are all trying to start over then I will." I say and I look around the table as I talk, and my eyes stop on Tails and I clench my fist.
"My name is Amelia Rose. Princess of Asendel." I say powerfully and Tails looks at me carefully and something changes in his eyes. " And a fun fact about me is that I have never been away from my kingdom this long." I sat and I sit down, and Tails looks off and then Knuckles stands up beside me.
"Yo. The name is Knuckles, fire bender obviously. I am Sonic's second in command, fun fact about me is that out of mostly everyone here I have never been with a water bender." He says and some of us laugh at the table as he sits down.
"Unless someone wants to change that- "Knuckles says but Sonic shrugs him as he stands up slowly.
"My name is Prince Sonic. Pretty sure I am mostly known for being an asshole." He says and Knuckles, Rouge, Cream, Blaze, Sliver and Tails laugh while me and Axel don't and then he laughs a little as well.
"I'm a fire bender and a fun fact about me is that I personally feel like I am not an asshole and I like to make friends. Even though I suck at it so yeah." He says and he sits down.
I stare down at my hands as he speaks, and I pick my nails.
"Yeah, that's what I thought too until I found out about Cosmo. "I start feeling slightly sad until Blaze stands up and I try to move my attention to something else.
Blaze stands up next and she clears her throat.
"Blaze. I'm in the fire force guild for the fire kingdom. I just started to learn how to make medicine. With herbs and stuff so that's my fun fact." She says quickly and Silver gasps.
"Hey! I could teach you! I make it all the time." Silver says and then everyone looks at him and he blushes. "I-I-If you want to learn- "
"Sure." Blaze says quickly and Sliver smiles.
Tails stands up next and my eyes travel up his and Axel leans back as he watches him stand.
"Tails. I don't really do much at the fire kingdom besides build things and work in a small hospital but a small fun fact from me is that I am working building a machine that transports people faster to locations." He says and then he sits.
"So, if I wanted to get to the end of this forest then I could just use your machine and get there faster?" Silver asks.
"Not exactly, I don't think it would be faster than what I saw you do earlier but if you were definitely lazy one day then it would be great for that moment." He says and Silver laughs and nods his head and then Cream stands up.
"Hi, my name is Cream. I am the captain of the medical combat squat and pretty much over all the medical stuff in Asendel and a fun fact about me is that I personally like to travel, so this nice." Cream says and then Rouge comes in last.
"Hello, I am Rouge. Amy's general at Asendel and a fun fact with me is I have never been with a fire bender, but it looks fun." Rouge says and I blush immediately, and I look over to Knuckles who was in mid sip of his drink.
Everyone laughs at the table this time which is rare, and it made me look at everyone. Sonic eyes meet mine as he laughs and then it slows down and mine does too and I look away quickly.
"Cool! Now that we know each other, tomorrow should go by smooth. Let me show you guys to your rooms since think we are all done eating and get some rest for tomorrow.
We all get up and follow Silver out but as I stand up, I notice Sonic was looking at me, so I try to keep my eyes elsewhere, but I knew he was still looking at me occasionally. Axel wraps his arm around my shoulder, and I smile at him.
"I'm glad you are okay." He says and I nod my head.
"Me too. It was… a wild ride. I'll tell you all about once we get ready for bed." I say and Axel nods his head.
Silver takes us into some trees, and we come close to a cabin that was surrounded by trees and another huge wall of mountain. He opens the door for us, and we walk in, seeing multiple living spaces and furniture.
"Um, so there is an upstairs and a downstairs, enough beds for everyone. But if you guys want to sleep separate, I understand." He says and I look at him and then to the fire benders.
My eyes go to Sonic and his lighten for a moment, but I let it fly past me.
"Because I never really knew him."
We can get the upstairs. Hope that's okay." I say to him.
"Yeah… that's fine- "
"Cool. Goodnight everyone." I say walking off first and heading upstairs.
The rest of my people follow me upstairs and we all get ready for bed. I slump into the single bed and I sigh heavily after this long, long day. Even my eyes started to close quick until Axel approaches me.
"You going to sleep already?" he asks, and I smile at him and nod my head.
"Yeah, I'm still slightly tired from losing so much blood and energy." I said and he nods his head, but he sits on my bed.
"Sleep with this on." He says and he shows me my mom's ring.
I lean up and I take quickly, and I look back at him.
"D-Did I lose this?" I ask and he nods his head.
"We found it on the way here. Covered in blood… I just thought… after I saw the ring on the ground, I thought you were…" Axel seems sad and relieved, so I pull him in for a hug and he hugs me back.
"Sorry… I didn't tell you. That was completely wrong of me and I am sure you searched day and night for me. I'm so sorry." I say and Axel shrugs his shoulders.
"Yeah… it did suck but you are okay. I'm happy about that." He says and I lean back from the hug to see him smiling at me.
I smile back at him as he touches my arm and pulls me back close to him. I watch him get closer to me and my mind stops.
Axel kisses my lips and I freeze as he does so. Axel opens his eyes and notices I didn't kiss him back and I blush quickly.
"S-Sorry. I'm just- "I stop talking and he looks at me confused. "I'm just tired so I…I don't know." I say and Axel nods his head.
"No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that but, you left for so long so I want to let you know, Amelia that I still have feelings for you and not knowing if I could ever tell you that again really made me afraid, so I don't want to hold back for my feelings for you." Axel says and I blush again.
"Shit, I forgot Axel kissed me in the medical room."
"Okay." I say and Axel chuckles and stands up and leans over and kisses my cheek before walking away. "Good night."
Rouge and Cream come out the bathroom at the same time and look at me. They run towards me and hug me tightly making me laugh and then they release me.
"Do you need a sleeping buddy?" Rouge asks and I laugh some more.
"That would be nice. I haven't seen you guys in so long so if you want- "
Cream and Rouge both move their beds close to mine, making it a huge bed and I laugh as they all pile in. We all lay down beside each other and then we hear another bed, and we look over to see Axel move his bed over too making us laugh again and Axel chuckles too.
"We are so glad you are okay. Just imagine how everyone is going to be when you return home." Cream says and I smile at the thought.
"Yeah… I can't wait…" I say and then the room goes back to silence.
"Can you tell us all that happened?" Rouge asks and I nod my head.
"Yeah… first…I saw Scourge again." I say and I feel my eyes go hot as I think about him.
"…You what?" Axel asks and I nod my head.
"Y-Yeah. I saw him. He was the one killing the fire benders. He made this clan, almost like a cult and their passion was to eradicate all fire benders. Because you know. Fire benders have caused so much trouble. So, he made a group. He got hundreds together, even with their families and children they were in the group and…" I blink softly and I continue to stare at the ceiling.
"Sonic and I we found out by finding his layer. We snuck in, we got tricked, separated, and then we fought him together. It was a gruesome fight as well because he broke my arm and stabbed through my stomach and then even after all of that… after begging him not to hurt me or change his ways he never did. So, he tried to kill me until… until Sonic stopped him from killing me and- "A tear falls out my eye and I think about how if Scourge would have changed his mind, he could have been here with us.
"If he just would have listened to me… he wouldn't have to die. Sonic killed him to save me because Scourge really was going to kill me. So, Sonic killed him, and I was barely there myself since I had been stabbed and I was losing blood, but Sonic saved me twice. Which is how I ended at the fire kingdom. Tails fixed me up at one moment but…"
Cosmo comes in my mind and more tears fall and Rouge pulls me into a hug with Cream rubbing my back.
"T-Tails dated Cosmo." I say and Rouge nods her head and sighs.
"Yeah, we heard, the Prince told Axel about Cosmo. I can't believe he really killed her because his mom ordered him too. I thought Sonic did some bad things but… killing your best friends girl friend is insane… and then just killing anyone is worse." Rouge says I look at her.
"He told you guys?" I ask and they nod their head.
I sniff my nose and lean back on the bed.
"He… he didn't tell me. When I found out, I didn't even know him. I still don't know him. I just thought Sonic wanted to save the world like I did, but he has already broken the world up so much because of his actions so it's different trying to work with someone who caused the way the world is. I know he says he wants to fix it but… how many more secrets are going to come up for me not to want to trust him… or the fire kingdom." I say and Axel sighs.
"I was thinking the same thing." He says and I look over to him. "The Prince… he was trying to be cordial and nice to me but… knowing that you were gone… and he was the reason of that. I can't trust him. I know we should for the sake of the world, but he isn't a trustworthy person. None of the fire benders are because everything they have done is just a bunch a secret slowly being let out. And the secrets aren't good."
Axel words makes me think over everything and then I sigh and run my fingers through my head.
"But guys tomorrow. Let's just try to get through this. We build the forest back and then we can go home. Go home and figure out what to do next. We already have the Prince's trust, so I am sure he is fine with negotiating some terms." I say and everyone nods their head.
"Alright let's get some sleep. I'm tired of talking about the fire kingdom." I say and they chuckle and agree as they close their eyes and I do the same, letting one lose tear run down my face.
"especially the one I thought I knew."
SONIC POV
It took Axel one second to make deep tiny holes in the wet soil, the princess and Rouge made but it was taking us twenty minutes to fill up two rows of holes with seeds. The sun was beaming down on us as well which made it slightly hard to see so I had to turn my back from the sun to put the seeds in. I listen to the water bends and Silver talk to each other and Knuckles joins sometimes but the rest of us just remain quiet.
A lot of them didn't like us so I think we were keeping our distance on instinct which kind of suck because not talking and putting these seeds in was boring and it seemed like they were having a great time.
Suddenly flip flops appear near the hole I was about to put a seed in, and I see Silver offering me a cup of water.
"Woah! You aren't even breaking a sweat your majesty!" he says, and I chuckle a bit and take the cup.
"I am a fire bender, so it isn't technically hot. Like the rest of you can get." I say and Silver laughs.
"Oh! Right! Haha, that makes sense but hey! You guys are doing great on the seeds." He says looking around and I look at Tails and Blaze working quietly.
"Thanks. We haven't really done anything like this before." I say and Silver cocks his head.
"What? Seriously? What do you guys do at the fire kingdom then?" he asks, and Blaze speaks up.
"We train. Protect and advance our technology." She says and Silver nods his head.
"Cool! And you said you were in a fire force guild? What's that?" he asks.
"It's like a small army. But the strongest benders on it, so if the princess were to attack the kingdom then we would be the first to go." She says and I frown at and she rolls her eyes.
"Sounds cool! So, you must be really strong, I take it?" Silver asks and walks over to Blaze and kneels down with her in the dirt.
"Yeah, but not like it is going to matter since Sonic cares about the Princess's life so I might be out of a job soon."
Blaze words makes me shake my head and then I turn to her.
"You won't be out of a job. Just hopefully you won't have to fight for no reason." I say and Blaze stands up quick.
"I fought for you!" she says, and I look at her and shake my head.
"It shouldn't be like that. I can fight for myself and you should do the same. Protecting is different but fighting for someone is wrong. Especially me." I say and Blaze just stares at me.
"Fine." She walks off more down the lines of holes and starts at the different section since she didn't want to be near me after what I said.
I sigh and Silver laughs.
"I'll go talk to her! You guys keep up the good work." Silver says and I watch him walk off and I chug the rest of my water and place it down.
"I did say the right thing… right? I don't want Blaze to fight for me even thought that is all she knows…" my mind starts to wander once again and then I hear Knuckles laugh loudly with the princess and Rouge.
I frown at him not working and then I see the princess look at me. She stares at me for a moment and then her eyes go back to water the grass that we had placed down earlier this morning. Seeds leave my hand as I continue to look at her.
Suddenly a shadow covers the hole I was a filling and I watch a tree float over me and land in a bigger hole Axel created. I look more off to the mountain to see Shadow moving vast trees from a tree pile and into the holes. Axel then plants it by earth bending and they continue to do that to many rows around the seeds we were planting. They set one right in front of me and Axel comes over and closes that hole too. His eyes go to mine and I nod my head at him, but Axel looks away as he goes back to focusing on the trees.
"Everyone looking at me this way definitely starting to get to me." I think and then I look up to see Cream struggling to bring a bag of soul to a burnt grassy area.
"I should help her." I think as I stand up and I start walking towards her.
My feet make wet noises as I walk across the soil Rouge and the princess already watered as I near Cream who just dropped the big bag of soul.
"Oops- "
"Let me help you with that." I say and she looks at me fast.
Her facial expression seems a little scared, but she seems to calm down since she knows I just want to help out.
"Okay. Thanks." She says and I lift the bag of soil over my arm. " Follow me, its supposed to go over here."
I nod my head and I follow Cream as we head over to the burnt dry area.
"So… how is planting seeds and stuff. I know you being a Prince this might be a first since you guys are so advanced over there." Cream says and I look at her and then to my dirty feet as think about the work I have done today
"Different. I don't think I've ever even planted seeds before, but its relaxing in a way compared to everything that has been happening recently." I say and Cream laughs and dusts her hands off.
"I bet. Amelia was telling me all that happened while she was gone. It must have felt good to sleep normally last night, for a change."
"How much did she tell you?" I ask and Cream looks off and I sigh since I knew that she found out what I did to Cosmo and probably more things that happened that day me and Tails fought.
"But let's just forget that for now!" Cream says with a small blush and I nod my head. "How did you sleep after all that craziness?"
"Sleeping was okay. I couldn't sleep that well though since your Princess hates my guts and hasn't made herself seem approachable yet. But sleeping was a lot better than the past few days." I say and Cream giggles.
"Amelia doesn't hate you, she probably just is very mad. I feel like I should be mad too, but she said the things did in your past was because of the Queen made you do it. It doesn't really seem like you would base on how you are talking to me now." Cream says and they take some weight off my shoulders since Cream was the first person to ever say that to me.
"But one thing I don't like is that you hide secrets." Cream says and she stops at an area and I place the big seed bag down.
"… It's not like I am hiding secrets- well that one I was slightly holding in, but I wasn't. I swear if Cos- "I stop talking since I couldn't even fathom her name because I wasn't over it.
"Never mind… Sorry." I say leaning up and looking at her.
Cream stares at me curiously and then she points behind her.
"There are more bags if you want to help. Maybe we can do it together this time." Cream says and the sadistic nurse I thought she was smiles slightly.
"O-Okay." I said blushing slightly since Cream was treating me like a normal person.
As I follow Cream, I feel eyes on my left, and I notice that Axel was watching me follow Cream. I give him a head nod and he just stare at me and starts to make his way over.
"Okay… can't wait to see what he says this time."
Axel walks right up to us and starts walking beside and Cream notices him.
"He isn't giving you trouble, is he?" Axel says and looks at me and I smile slightly.
"No, Prince Sonic is helping me with the bags. He is actually being quite helpful." Cream looks at me and smiles and I blush and laugh awkwardly.
We make it back to the wagon that was packed with big bags of seeds and Axel looks at as I grab another.
"Hm… that surprising. Didn't know the Prince could be handy for once. The fire kingdom has probably burned more trees down than planted them." Axel says and that makes me laugh.
"You have one part about down about burning trees, but you don't believe that I can be handy hurts to hear." I say picking up another bag but then my eyes go straight to his" Ask the Princess. She knows how handy I can be- "
Axel earth bends a pebble at my head, and I chuckle at him and Cream laughs as well from the joke I made.
"Cream, what's so funny about that. He is making fun of the Princess." Axel says and Cream laughs again.
"It's just a joke. Plus, his comeback was very funny."
"Thanks." I say making Axel roll his eyes and I laugh at him being annoyed.
"Yo, watch out!" Silver says and we look at him and then a tree trunk flies towards us.
I quickly grab Cream and fly out of the way and the tree trunks falls onto the seeds we just planted and hits the small wagon. Axel jumped out the way just in time before it hit him, and we all look at Silver who was running towards us.
"Sorry! Sorry! Shadow and I got mixed with the wind!" Silver says looking at us.
Shadow flies down with sweat coming down his face and he shakes his head.
"Silver, you know I was going that way." He says and Silver laughs it off.
"It was a slip up. It happens!" he says, and I stand up and pull Cream with me.
"Are you okay?" I ask Cream.
"Yes, thanks." She says and then everyone else comes over after seeing us dodge a feelings tree.
"Are you guys okay? What happened?" Rouge asks and I look towards her and I see Amelia come close to me and I stop breathing.
The sweat sliding down her face makes me look at her longer than I needed too but her short hair that I haven't seen up close like everyone else has made me watch it closely. Her eyes move to mine and I look off quickly to the ground.
"Cream are you okay?" she asks, and everyone practically checks on her and I stand back so everyone could make sure.
"Y-Yeah, Prince Sonic saved me." She says and that makes everyone turn around to look at me.
I open my mouth not knowing if I should respond or not but then I get a hard pat on the back from Axel making me look at him.
"Maybe the Prince isn't the big asshole we see him as." Axel says and I didn't expect him to say that comment.
"No, he still is. But maybe he really can be nice." Rouge says and everyone looks at me to respond to what they said, and I couldn't think of anything.
Because I had never been complimented by them before.
"Anyway, we should take a break. I think the sun is getting to some of us since you guys are actually thinking he has a heart." Shadow says and I watch him walk up to them while bumping into me on purpose.
"Silver should take one too. Before he ends trying to plant one of us." The princess says and everyone laughs including me.
"Hey. I make one mistake and now you guys think I am going to plant you." Silver says and we all start walking into the shade to the trees we already planted.
I walk behind everyone as they sit and chat and Shadow leans against a tree and sighs tiredly and closes his eyes. I walk past him, and Axel makes seats for everyone and they all sit and talk about the work we did so far.
"You know some a cold drink would great right now." Silver says making the princess stand up quickly.
"That I can do! Axel. Make us some cups." The princess says and Axel practically makes it in one second in the middle of the seats he created, and everyone grabs a cup and looks at Amelia.
"Fresh water coming up." She says and she grabs water from the humid air and cleans it before putting some in everyone's cup.
Silver gets his and he was about to drink it until he saw me standing behind them and he gets and approaches me quickly.
"Here! Have mine." He says and I look at the cup and back him.
"It's okay. You were lifting trees all day so- "
Silver grabs my hand and puts the cup in it.
"You are a guest here so it's my honor, plus you look shy as fuck back here and I knew you wasn't going to grab one." He says quietly and I look off.
"No. I just wasn't thirsty." I say looking at the cup of water.
"Even if you aren't good to stay hydrated." Silver says patting me on the back and then he heads to sit back down.
"Sonic! Come sit!" Knuckles yells and everyone looks at me from their personal conversations.
"Okay."
I walk over and the sound of the watered grass on my makes me feel shy like Silver was saying but it goes away once I sat down in between Knuckles and Tails.
"Remember as kids when you make us that juice from the berries you found in the forest." Knuckles brings up and I smile at the memory.
"Yeah, it was so good to drink. Especially on warm days like this." I say and Knuckles laughs and then he pulls out the berries from his pocket.
"They have them here. Everywhere. I found it when I went to take a leak near a tree and there they were. A lot of them too." Knuckles says and he hands me them. "Make us a cup."
"Me too. Water is good and all, but berries and the water would taste amazing." Tails says.
"Heh, what if I don't make it how I used too. Those berries stopped growing so long ago. I'm sure I still got it."
I grab Knuckles cup and I warm up the berries a bit and then I squeeze eight of them and then I just drop the rest in there. I warm the cup from the bottom, and it boils quickly and then I stop.
I shake around the cup and I make sure the water that was in there was a lot thicker than when it was before I boiled, and I hand it back. Knuckles takes it with the smile he had when I made this for him the 50th time when we were teens, and he sips it.
"Wow. It's even better than I thought!" Knuckles responds drinking more of it.
"My turn. I always got this juice last." Tails complains and I turn around and grab his.
"That's because Knuckles is way greedier than you." I say and I make Tails cup faster than I did Knuckles.
"No, I wasn't!" Knuckles says and Tails and I both laugh at him disagreeing with us.
"Then why are you twice as big than the both of us?" I ask.
"Because I didn't skip gym class unlike you two. Wanting to read comics in the bushes, rather than train." Knuckles says and I laugh loudly, and I hand Tails his cup back.
"Yeah, you didn't skip lunch either." I reply back and Tails laughs. I laugh too as I make myself some myself and Knuckles shoves me roughly making some of my juice spill out.
"What are you drinking? And why are your hands red?" Blaze asks coming over and I look at my cup and then back to her.
"Just something I used to make as a kid. Here. Have mine." I say and I offer her my cup.
Blaze drinks it quickly without even thinking twice about how it could taste and then her eyes lighten up.
"Woah. This is so good! " Blaze says and Knuckles laughs.
"Isn't it? I told Sonic to sell this in the bakeries and shops at our kingdom, but he wouldn't do it because he said he wouldn't think anyone else would like it. But see Sonic! That's three people who thinks this is great." Knuckles says.
"Yeah, three people. Not a kingdom." I say and Knuckles gets up and approaches the water benders and air benders talking to themselves.
"Hey! Do you guys want to have some Prince Juice?" Knuckles asks them and they look at him confused.
"That doesn't sound right." Rouge says.
"It's not liked his sweat or something. It's this!" Knuckles shows off the juice I made, and I blush since I didn't really want any attention on me since everyone didn't like me.
They look into it and then they look back up to him.
"Prince Sonic made this?" Rouge asks and Knuckles nods his head proudly.
"Yep! Give it a try." He says and Rouge looks at the cup carefully and then looks over to me.
"How did you make this?' she asks, and everyone looks to me.
"I… I just squeeze the juice out the berries and then I place them in there and boil them. Then there you go." I say and Rouge looks back to the cup and grabs, but I jump up making her stop.
"But be careful." I say walking over to them and I grab the cup. "The juice is hot because I boiled it. Knucklehead probably didn't think about that because he is a fire bender, but you should cool it first, so you don't burn your mouth."
"Thanks." She says and she freezes the juice in my hand and then un-freezes it.
I hand her the cup and she look at it carefully and then sips it.
I was secretly hoping she liked for some reason as she tastes it then looks at me.
"This is great. You made this when you were young?" she asks drinking it again and I blush.
"I did- "
"I want some." Cream asks and hands me her cup and I look at it.
"Okay…" I say and then Silver gets up quickly and grabs his cup and a cup that was for shadow and hands it too me as well.
"Us too!" Silver says and then he looks at Axel and the princess cup. "Your cups too!"
Silver practically takes everyone's cups and then he hands them all to me.
"A-Are you sure?" I ask and I look at the two water benders who didn't look at me but then Axel did.
"It is hot out so it wouldn't hurt." Axel says and I nod my head.
"Okay. Just a moment." I say and I walk over to an empty spot to place down the cups.
Knuckles gave showed me where more berries were, and I find them in a bush and grab a lot to make for everyone. As I walk back, I watch them all talk to each other.
Cream was talking to Tails; Knuckles was talking to Rouge and Blaze was talking to Silver. They looked so happy doing it too which made me feel inspired to keep my promise to make the world like this.
Able to talk to any bender without having to fight or hate each other. It can be just like this.
I watch them some more until I watch Axel make the princess laugh and then I look off and start making the juice. Her laughter was the one thing I loved to hear but not by someone else.
Heat comes from me and I let it soar around the area around me since I was getting frustrated with that but that stops once Cream appears next to me.
"You done yet?" she asks, and I stop feeling the way I finish.
"Yeah, could you cool them down for me." I ask and she happily cools them down and then unfreezes them.
"Thanks!" Cream says and she grabs her cup and then I grab the rest.
Cream sits down excited and talks to Tails about the juice making Tails laugh. I make my way back and I pass the cup out Silver and Rouge. They thank me and then I look at Axel and the Princess who was looking at me normally.
"Just pass them back out."
"Here you go." I say and Axel takes both of them and hands once to Amelia.
They both look at it and I turn around to go walk to Shadow.
"Thanks." Says the princess as I have my back turned to her and my hand clenches around the cup.
"Yeah…" I say and I walk up to Shadow.
Shadow opens his red eyes and looks me up and down and I roll my eyes.
"Here you go."
Shadow scoffs and closes his eyes back while I hold his drink out to him.
"It's not poisonous. I swear." I say and Shadow refuses to acknowledge me.
"If you think I would poison you then you are wrong. I like to take out my enemies fairly. Not double teaming or something of the sort."
Shadow eyes open slowly and walks up to quickly. Wind pushes past my face as he approaches and the conversation from behind me stops since they felt the wind.
He takes it out of my hand forcefully and then drinks it.
"Thanks." He says and goes back to leaning on the tree.
"Sure…" I say lowly since I think he threatened me, but I wasn't in the mood to possibly fight him again and I turn back to see everyone with red mustaches.
"Sonic, the juice is great!" Cream cheers and I smile.
"I'm glad you like it."
"It really is good." Axel says and thank him too.
Everyone compliments me as I finally sit down, and I look at the princess to see if she was liking it as much as everyone. Her blue eyes were looking into the cup and I watch her hand clench the cup. She takes another drink and moves her eyes to mine. My eyes don't move away this time for some reason and she doesn't look away either.
I also noticed that I was technically sitting beside her since Tails left to go talk to Cream. My eyes move around her face for a moment to see if she was okay from the fight with Tails, but she looked nice and healed up. But the most important question I wanted to ask was why she cut her hair.
It flowed nicely in the wind as she looks at me and then she removed the cup from her mouth and turned to me slightly making me stop thinking.
"What?" she asks, and I blink softly as she speaks to me for the first time.
I open my mouth to speak but then I look at Axel who wasn't paying attention and walks talking to Rouge, Knuckles about something.
"Maybe I should speak to her. She seems less angry than she was before."
"You… You cut you hair."
Amelia looks at me scoffs and takes another drink.
"I did." She says and finishes her drink and stands up quickly. Like she was angry again.
"I'm going back to water the soil. We should finish this soon." The princess says and I watch her walk away.
"Welp you heard the boss! Let's get back to it!" Silver says enjoying the time he was having with everyone.
We all place our cups on the ground, and I follow them back out to the sun to finish the long day of gardening we have to do.
Nighttime
We finally finished the area and cheered happily once Shadow flew in the last tree. Axel planted it and then we started cleaning up the area with the soil and seed bags with left around the trees and plants that were to grow. Silver told us it needed to go back to the storage room, so we took it all back, while talking to each other.
Working together for so long made us feel like we were all some classmates from high school and after I made that juice for everyone. It seemed like it made everyone like me more. I even had a nice conversation with Axel about him being the only earth ender and he cracked a joke with me which I thought would never happen.
It felt good to feel normal.
Everyone headed in and I went to go get the last bag of seeds. I fly up to the storage room and I land on the ground and I spot Amelia placing some bags on a shelf. Her strong arms glistened in the sweat created from today as she placed another bag and then she turned to see me moving to her.
She moves out the way to go back to the wagon that had one more bag, so I take the time to place the bag on the shelf. I turn around to see her looking at me and then she looks off and passes me. I step out of her way and she tries to put the last bag on a taller shelf than her and I step up to her making her look at me quickly.
"I…I was just going to ask if you needed help- "
"I don't." she says and throws the bag up there angrily and it lands perfectly on top of the others.
I look around to see if anyone was near us and it was empty. A perfect time to talk to her.
"I need to talk to her. This might be my only time since they might send us all home after this… not like we have a home so we would have to do something about that as well, but we will soon figure that out later."
I clear my throat and I step in her way before she could walk away, and she looks at me.
"How are you?"
The princess looks at me like I just asked her the dumbest question and I nod my head.
"Sorry, I just really need to talk to you, and I couldn't think of a way to start it." I say quickly and the princess moves around me and grabs a bag that was opened and moves it to the side to make the storage room look clean.
She still didn't say much to me after my attempt to talking to her, so I try again.
"I have barely been able to talk to you since everyone doesn't want me near the Princess of Asendel so sorry I couldn't say something sooner." I say and Amelia places another bag of seeds in the storage room.
"Well can you blame them." She says and she finally looks over me as the moon casts over her head. "The fire kingdom's royal court is known for being the most violent in world, especially your mom who killed probably thousands of benders who wasn't like her or "threatened" your kingdom which no one could do because you guys were always far more advanced than everyone and then your appear right after, resembling the face of what everyone is afraid of and then try not to act like you don't have a terrible past we all just forgot about but you constantly bring out more secrets therefore making us not trust even less." Amelia says and I just look back and forth at her blue eyes looking at mine.
"That's probably why no one lets you talk to me or even near which is probably why you are talking to me in secret." She says lastly and then moves past and starts to walk off.
I turn around late and I watch her walk away for a moment.
"Amy- Princess wait." I say out and she continues to walk so I jog in front of her and then stops.
"What?"
"I would really like to talk to you about this. Cosmo. Everything- "
"Why now?" Amy asks and looks off. "You already got what you wanted from me so you can keep on hiding your secrets so maybe I will find you as a decent person again." She says and that makes me touch her shoulder.
"Amelia. I haven't change since I told you about Cosmo. I'm still the person you kissed in my bedroom before- "
"You aren't." Amelia says and I shake my head.
"But I am. Yes, all those things I said about me is true. Was I hiding?... maybe because I can never forgive myself for it but when I tell you my feelings for you and changing the state of the world, it's real. You know my mom made me do those things- Well it doesn't matter because I am still the same." I say and Amelia starts to frown up and she moves my hand away from her shoulder.
"Why didn't you tell me then!" She yells and I watch her eyes fill up with tears.
"It looks like you were hiding it from me so you could make your way into my heart, but it isn't the same! I don't know you! I acted completely myself around you Sonic! I did and you kept secrets from me you didn't have too! I found out the worse way with the guy who shot me in the leg because he was jealous of losing his girlfriend and my mentor!... my best friend..." Amelia sniffs her nose, and she takes a step back.
"No... she is moving away from me"
"... I really thought we were the same. Seriously. And when I heard that... you did these things- I knew the fire kingdom was bad but you really made me think you were different." She says and I feel my body heat up.
"But I am."
"Now, you really look like your mom." Amy says looking at me angrily.
"So… I didn't look like my mom after we had sex, right?" I ask her and her eyes go to shock.
"O-Or I didn't look like her when I saved your life from Scourge. Did I look like her when I saved you from getting killed in prison?" I ask her and I keep on going and I start to approach her.
"No, wait. Maybe I started to look like her when you kissed me back in the treehouse or maybe it was after putting Axel in a coma and you had sex with me right after."
Amy looks at me shocked but I didn't care.
"Oh, I know! I probably mostly looked like her when my dick was in your mouth- "
Amy hand comes across my face as she slaps me hard and I keep my head turned from the force of her hand. The slap stunned me as I blink slowly trying to come back to real life. Amy then takes a gasp and I look at her to see that she is crying.
My eyes wander around her face and I open my mouth, but she takes a step back and shakes her head side to side.
"No, Amelia… I didn't mean that… I just got angry and- "
I start feeling a heat and I look around to see if one of my people was by, but I didn't see anyone. Amy sniffs again as her tears come out her eyes and I walk up to her and she moves back and then I feel a pressuring heat rise from the area I was standing.
"What is this heat… it actually feels very hot." I think as I look around but then Amelia balls her fist up at me.
Amelia looks so furious at me, so I try to touch her shoulder, but she smacks my hand away and her hand feels super-hot which made me look at her different.
"Why was her hand so hot- "
"You… don't…. EVER! Get to talk to me… that way…." She's says breathing heavily and I start to frown my brows since it started to get warmer and warmer.
"Where is this coming from…I haven't even felt nothing like this since my mom- "
Amy grabs me by my shirt and brings me close to her face and still looks pissed.
"BECAUSE I AM THE PRINCESS AND I AM LOWER THAN NO ONE. ESPICALLY TO YOU!" She yells and she pushes me back hard.
Suddenly my hair pushes back and then a bright blue light comes from Amelia.
"Wha-"
"BOOM!"
Blue flames erupt from the ground around me and I shield myself quickly as I dodge some of the flames. The flames crack the ground and the shed behind us, catching it on fire as the powerful flames rumble the ground.
"What? What is going on! Is someone sabotaging us from my kingdom?" A blue flame touches me, and it burns my arm making me move quick until I hear a cry in the middle of the fire.1`
Amelia falls to her knees as she holds her chest and I rush to her. I jump over blue flames and I notice Amelia is on her knee and was crouching over in pain. I run quicker and I touch her arm, but it burns me bad.
"Ow!" I yell and Amelia looks at me slowly and I stare at her.
"Her arm… it was so warm but- "
Amelia looks at her hands and they shake slightly, and I watch her carefully. She looks at me and opens her mouth gently but then she coughs heavily.
"Are you okay? Where did that even come from- "I notice Amelia clothes were on fire, so I put out quickly by fire bending and she coughs even more.
"Amelia? Can you look at me.?" I ask her and I tilt her chin up and she starts to wince as she touches her chest, and she coughs more and stands up.
"Did you breathe in the smoke? Let's get out of this area- "
The heat comes back full force and I even shield my eyes but first I grab Amelia hand, but her arm burns me once again causing me to let go and look at her.
Amelia looks at herself too and touches her throat.
"S-Sonic- "A blue flame erupts from her mouth and I just stare at her.
She covers her mouth, and she looks at me panicked.
"Did…. Did fire just come from her mouth?"
Amy opens her mouth again a flame leaves again and she covers it. My feet move on their own as I approach her, and she looks at me and steps back.
"Amelia… just- What… how are you even doing that?" I ask and she steps more away from me until her heel catches some broken concrete that was from the random fire explosion from earlier and she hits the ground on her butt.
Amy winces and waves her arms around wildly as she falls back, and the blue flames come from her hands and feet spreading rapidly as she hits the ground.
"What… how is she…. She is fire bending." I watch her look at the fire appear in her hands in the moonlight and she gasps and then the fire jumps on her shirt making it burn quick, making her freak out and cry to put it out but she just spreads the fire more on her.
"Ahh!" She yells with a blush on her face and I come to her and I try to touch her, but she notices and moves back.
"Don't touch me!" she yells with the blue flame still coming out and I stop.
"Amelia… t-t-the flame just came out your mouth." I say and she looks down to her hands and feet.
"Wha- "she stops talking as she sees it appear and then starts to hyperinflate and cough while getting on her knee.
This time she reaches out to me, but she starts coughing even more with smoke coming out of her mouth. I bend down to her and I ease her up as her top she was wearing burns off and then I catch to stop it from revealing anything. She coughs more and then she leans and gasps.
"Can you not breathe?" I ask and she shakes her head "no" and starts crawling back from me, but I move with her.
"How… is this even possible. You are basically fire bending." I ask touching her arm and I notice that its warm like mine or a normal fire bender.
I look at her skin and I rub it softly and then I look to see her still coughing.
"I… I don't even know what to do to help you- "
Amelia gets up and holds her mouth as she coughs, and more flames come out. She starts to walk farther away from me and starts to run but I come after her. She sprints and she waves her hand at me and I look at her confused as every step she leaves is a small blue fire trail.
"Fire… coming from her? How…" I say softly and Amelia then drops to the ground and coughs even more and then she grabs her sides quickly.
"What? -
"BOOM!"
Another blast of blue flames roars over Amelia and I jump back dodge before it would touch me. The flames took over the small forest near the cabin and I scoot back from the pressure of the flames.
"Holy shit- "
I notice Amy is naked on the burnt grass, lying flat on her stomach and I get up quick and take my shirt off.
"Hey! Amelia!" I yell before I get to her and she doesn't respond.
I drop down to my knees and I turn her over to see that her mouth was slightly burned, and her clothes were completely desegregated off, so I slip in her in my shirt quickly and then I hold her in my arms. I place my hand on her chest to see if she was breathing and she was, just minor burns but nothing she can't fix. As I hold her, the burning of the forest wasn't even in my train of thought as I remember what I saw when I was looking at her.
"Blue flames… coming from her mouth… how. What am I daydreaming- "
Suddenly, I hear feet and gasps and I look up to see everyone. Everyone looks at me and then they look at Amelia in concern. I look around at the fire that was now a normal color and then I look down to a slightly burned, passed out princess in my arms and then to my friends, her friends and two guardians of this palace.
"This looks bad."
I look at her and then back to them and I open my mouth shakily.
"Everyone… it's not- "
"Drop her." Axel says and I stare at him.
"Axel… I didn't do this- "
"Prince… please just. Don't hurt her." Silver says and my eyes widen.
I look at everyone and I notice my people were looking me in shock too.
I look back to Amelia and I start to feel very sadden that they would think I would do this. It looks like I did it, but I didn't it was her. I grip her shoulder and I place her on the ground gently and then I slowly move my arms from her. Amelia still doesn't wake up and then I look at her once last time and I stand up.
They continue to stare at me in silence and I do as well since I had no chance of even convincing them. A breeze runs by my face and I know that move too well, so I take steps back from her so they would know that I wasn't going to touch her. I walk back farther and farther from her and then I stop.
The look in their eyes were completely different from the time we were having a nice time in the fields and now they are looking at like most benders do, or strangers who only know of my past but not really me.
Hateful Stares.
Shocked Glances.
Untrustful gestures as they watch me stand away from the princess and the burnt area that I didn't create so I open my mouth and I feel so small because I knew that wouldn't believe me.
"I-It wasn't…me… I promise… I wouldn't do this- "
"So, someone else attacked her. Another firebender here attacked her, there are no more fire benders than them and you! And you are the only person near her!" Rouge yells and I start to feel nervous.
"You are right…. But I swear it wasn't me. I wouldn't do this- "
Knuckles starts to walk up, and I watch him carefully. He passes Amelia and he comes closer to me and I look all around his face. He stops in front of me and then he shakes his head and points behind me. Which was the exit of this palace.
"… Sonic. You should go." He says and my heart stops.
Everyone starts to move to, the water benders went to the princess and Silver, Shadow, Axel, and Blaze come up too, Blaze trailing behind slightly and she looks at me concerned.
"Stop… Stop looking at me like that. Like I am some criminal- "
"You are." Shadow says and I start to frown. " You just proved that by blowing the Princess up. Like I said before. Prince. If you ever do something like this again then you are out of here. So how about you leave before it gets very forceful here."
"I didn't do this, Shadow. Why would I- "
"Why wouldn't you?!" Axel yells getting pissed and I clench my fists. "I told you guys he would do this again! Just when we aren't looking and now Amelia is unconisus- "
"It wasn't me!" I yell walking closer and everyone ready up.
I stop from their actions and I start to feel even angrier and my heat starts to rise but I try to cool it down, but it wasn't working because they wouldn't believe me.
"Sonic. Just leave and… maybe we can talk about this tomorrow." Knuckles says and I look at disbelief.
They wait for my response, but I calm down slightly even though I was still pissed.
"You know what? Fine. Don't believe me, because the royal court of the fire kingdom is evil, right? And my closest friends believe that too. Cool. I'll leave. If it will make you guys comfortable since I am so evil. Fine. I'm leaving." I say turning my shoulder and walking away quickly.
I look down to my feet and then I feel my face warm up and a tear leaks out, causing me to blink. Suddenly the darkness comes back, and I pause. I try to remain calm from the sudden darkness, so I just fly up and down in the darkness. I keep flying and flying and close my eyes through the moist wind and I take myself so far away from them.
Even though I couldn't see anything I just kept flying.
Soon my vision comes back, and I notice that I am above forest but closer to the beach. I land down in a random area and I start to walk near the shore. I am sure a heat radiation was running off of me as I neared the ocean, but I kept going. I needed something to distract me and being in a quiet forest wouldn't help. My feet touch the cool sand and I keep on marching towards the ocean.
"Where are you going?" says a voice and I look over to see that it is my mom behind me.
I start to feel angry and I turn away from her only to see the darkness again. I growl and she walks up beside me and then stands in front of me.
"Oh. Someone has finally broke." She says and I close my eyes shut.
"They hate you now. Pity- "
"BECAUSE OF YOU!" I yell and she simple stares at me." YOU CREATED THIS FOR ME! NEVER ONCE DID YOU THINK THIS WAS GOING TO AFFECT ME EVER! I CAN'T EVEN MAKE FRIENDS BECAUSE I LOOK EXACTLY LIKE YOU! I CAN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU MADE ME DO! YOU GREW ME INTO THE PERSON WHO CAN NEVER HAVE FRIENDS OR EVEN MAKE FRIENDS WITH OTHER BENDERS!" I yell and I breath heavily.
"PRINCESS AMELIA HATES MY GUTS! BECAUSE YOU! YOU MADE ME KILL COSMO OVER MY BEST FRIEND! YOU KILLED THOUSANDS OF BENDERS SO NOW THE FIRE KINDGOM WILL BE LOOKED DOWN UPON FOREVER. EVEN WHEN I AM TRYING TO FIX IT BUT I CAN'T DO THAT NOW BECAUSE OF YOU!" I yell out and she continues to stare at me.
"You should have killed them then. A small group of people going against the soon to be king. Sounds like trouble before it even happens to me." She says and I get in her face.
"I DON'T WANT TOO! I NEVER WANTED TO HURT OR KILL ANYONE BUT BECAUSE YOU I HAVE TO PAY FOR ALL MY SINS, I NEVER WANTED TO COMMIT IN THE FIRST PLACE B-BECAUSE OF YOU!" I yell and she just looks at me and I feel angrier.
"I- I HATE YOU! I DON'T WANT YOU TO BE HERE! LET ME OUT OF THE DARKNESS NOW!" I yell and she looks behind me and squints.
"LET ME OUT!" I yell and she looks back to me and points.
"I think you have company- "
"FINE. I'LL FIND MY WAY OUT!" I yell walking past her and I starts to walk.
"Sonic! Wait! You mustn't!" she yells, and I keep going. "Sonic! I am telling you to turn around!"
"NO! JUST STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ME- "
A sharp pain erupts from my torso region and I pause. I slowly look down to see a silver sword piercing through me and I watch my blood drip off the tip onto the ground. Another one comes through and I stumble slightly, and I fall to my knees. I stare at the darkness with my hands on the surface of it and blood drips on my hand.
"Is this real- "
"SONIC! YOU HAVE TO RUN! THIS ISN'T ME!" My mom yells running up to me and she gets on her hands and knees with tears coming down her face and she holds my head in her hands.
She looks up and she frowns, and I start to turn my head to see what she is looking at, but she brings my face back.
"Sonic. Whatever you do. Stay strong. Don't give up who you really are. Just wait for your friends too- "
One of the swords slip from my torso and I cough out with blood landing on the sand as I return to the real world. I shakily turn my head to the side, and I see a pair of legs that looked like a woman's and I slowly look up to see a brown squirrel with red hair and a sword in her hand looking at me.
"He is back to us now. Hey prince." She says and I hear another foot move making me look to that side and I start seeing pants.
"Wow! It really is him! This is so exciting! And pretty easy too! I can't wait to take him!" A male voice says, and I look even higher to see a fox with red eyes.
"He isn't speaking much though… but hey! I can get him to speak if we need too!" he says and then the woman chuckles.
"That's true. Hey prince… you there? Usually, people scream in agony, but you are in complete shock that you got stabbed twice. You are losing a good amount of blood as well but if you agree on not resisting then I will heal you!" she says, and I look down to see that she was right.
The sand was splattered in blood, so I gently move hand to it, and I touch it and then I look at my blood.
" I'm bleeding out."
The fox leans down and looks at my face and I look at his as he studies me.
"Hm? Well, he can definitely see me. Maybe he just needs a boost." He says and leans up fast.
Suddenly I feel the second sword move and he rips it out of my body and cough out again and this time I hit the ground. I slowly touch my bleeding torso and I blink my eyes heavily.
"Cass! You did too much! Now, he is passing out sooner than expected!" the girl says, and I hear Cass complain.
"All I did was take the sword out?! Yikes this guy isn't going to be any fun." Cass says.
"Whatever. Let's get him and go. We can't let his friends see. Well not yet anyway." The girl says walking towards the shore, and I watch her.
Cass picks me up and I wince from the pain but almost I shocked that this guy could pick me up with such ease. He carries me and we start heading closer and closer to the ocean, but my eyes were getting so heavy.
So heavy but the sounds from under the ocean where loud. They took me under the ocean, stabbed me, talked about kidnapping me, and letting my friends come look for me.
Something is up and I am too wounded to do something about it this time.
