SONIC POV
I groan out in pain as I open my eyes tiredly from the pain of my ribs being beat on. Sweat drips down my face from my irregular body temperature flocculating as I take another hit to the ribs and this time I think he broke the last one of them from the crack and agony I am feeling in my upper body.
"Thirty-two! Man, Prince! You are the only person who hasn't begged for mercy. I see why you would be the perfect King! You have my vote." Says the tall, musucalr fox, with red eyes and curly hair.
He grips the thick wooden stick he was holding and swings hard at my ribs again making me yelp out and I cough from the blow. I lean my head up and I look at my arms being held up from the black chains in the ice built room. I pull at them and as I do so another hit goes to my ribs again.
My ribs were staring to prickle in pain this time from the beating I was taking and I cough and blood comes out of my mouth with it as I feel a tingling numbness in my chest.
"Prince! You aren't counting! How are we susposed to get into this tourture if you aren't participating." He asks walking infront of me leaning down to my face since I wasn't using my legs to stand.
I don't respond and that sets fire in his eyes and sighs and walks back away from me.
"You make this so boring." He says and grips the piece wood again and my eyes widen, and I look off since I knew the wood was coming again.
"Sonic, just be strong. This is nothing-
"Crack!"
The wood breaks in have from colliding with me and how hard he swung it and I wince in pain. I take deep breaths, trying to take my mind off from my beatened chest but it was so hard too since breathing was starting to hurt now.
"Dammit!" Cass says and throws the block of wood behind him and then walks back to the tools on the table. "Sorry, Prince. That was my last piece of wood. I might have to which to iron now." He says grabbing it and checking it out.
"Well, not like it matters. Seems like wood just isn't working for you anyway." He says and he starts to come back to me.
I stare at the iron and I try to move back but my ribs hurt insanely making me not even budge.
"There we go! Some fear!" Cass gets excited and runs over to me quickly.
"We only at thrity four which means!.." Cass wants me to finish the answer and anger builds in my mind. "… do you know the answer?"
I still don't speak since that's what they wanted me to do and Cass sighs and goes back to being angry himself since I wasn't about to play his wicked games. Cass hits me hard and I gasp out and I try not to let out a scream but arms are shaking as I feel the pain increase.
" Six more! Well now its 5!" he says and my eyes start to drop from the pain and I feel myself fading until he hits me again, waking me full up.
"HEY! DON'T PASS OUT NOW! WE HAVE FOUR MORE!" Cass says angrily and I cough and then I wince in pain from my beaten lungs.
"Come on. Sonic. Just take it. You can't give up. Not when-"
Cass swings at me again at the same area and I bend over. Cass pushes my head back and I lean my head only to be hit again and again and again.
He drops the iron bar and blood leaves my mouth from the side and my head falls limp from the pain making me lose consciousness. I blink and I try to open my eyes as I look at the ceiling of the ice dome until Cass brings my head forward.
"So, how was it?" he asks and I stare at him only, not saying a word.
Cass looks over my face and then he groans.
"Prince, I am being so patient with you. I just need to know if you are going to cooperate correctly next time you take the spirt test? Sally, told me to hit until you pass out but I didn't let you do that because I believe that you are strong enough to do it. You failed the test last time because you refused to answer the first question and now I had to hit you so many times just for us to go back to square one." Cass tells me and I blink weakly as he holds my face.
"So, here is the important question. The question that can set you free and I don't have to keep hitting you." Cass asks and I squeeze my fists and I start feeling angry.
"Are you going to complete this test correctly?-"
"No." I say and my chest surges with pain. "You… you can't make me do shit. No matter how many bones and organs you try to damage. You can't." I say and then I pull at my arms.
"You… You can't make me." I say and Cass looks at me in shock.
"Really…" Cass says and I stare at him like he is crazy.
"Alright. I'm cutting off an arm." Cass says causally and walks off back to his tools.
I watch dig through tools and he grabs a hand saw and starts to clean it off with a towel. Cass sighs and turns to me.
"Sonic, we are friends and I really don't want to have to cut your arm off but you aren't making any progress so I am afraid this is the route you have to go." He says and I try to move but I couldn't so I just get on my feet and ignore the pain in my body and try to move away.
Cass looks over my body and shakes his head.
"You don't even want this." He says and I grit my teeth.
"I can tell you are scared. This tough guy thing you do is amazing but losing an arm. Well, that will make you weaker than the normal person…" Cass says and steps up to me closer.
"How are you going to save the person you care most about now without an arm? Which is the first question you need to answer but I guess you will be guessing it without an arm." Cass says and raises the saw and I stare at it.
"So, which arm do you like least." He asks and I look back at him and don't speak.
Cass stares at me and then he walks to my right side and then I flinch and move my whole arm back making him stop.
"Okay, I see you love your right arm so let's do the left." He says and he grips my arm places the saw on my shoulder.
"So much muscle too. I hope I don't cut anything important or you might die." He says and he looks at me once more.
He presses down on my skin and it already cuts into it me making me squeeze my eyes shut and then he stops.
"Just take a deep breath. Sally, will put it back on later but I am going to saw it off completely until you tell me who your care about most then I'll stop." He says and I look away from my left arm.
"Just cut it. Do it." I think since I would never let htem know.
Cass sighs again the sharp pressure comes back and he moves it forward, slicing my skin open and I yell out as it goes deeper and deeper. My legs shake and I try to move it as he continues to go.
"Cass!" I hear a voice yell and Cass stops.
"Yes?" he asks and I open my eyes up in pain to see the squrriel again.
"I told you not to cut off limbs! I don't have enough chi to heal a entire arm back to a body." She says walking up quickly and stopping Cass.
"He wasn't participating!" Cass says and I look over to my shoulder to see the saw still sitting in it.
It wasn't so deep to where I could lose it. But he definitely sliced my arm open some. The squrriel gets to Cass making him blush and turns back to my arm.
"S-Sorry, Prince." Cass says ripping it out of my arm and my arm starts to leak. "Sally, said I couldn't chop your arm off ."
Cass walks away from me and then he places the saw on the tool table and starts to clean it off while Sally approaches me. She looks over my body then to my face and smiles.
"Hi, how is it going." She asks and I look away from her.
"Not that well, I see. You are still refusing to take the test." Sally says and I don't respond again.
Sally goes silent and her presense made me nervous to look at her but I tried to stay strong as she sighed again.
"Prince… Look." She says and I don't but she continues to talk.
"You can't stay down here and get beaten forever because Cass starts to get bored. You see that's why you almost lost an arm because you still refuse to take the test after asked you nicely a few times, but you still don't want to take it."
Sally stops talking and walks closer to me.
"Why can't we just be friends. It's not like I want to kill you or anything. I just want you to take the test again, pass it, and then I will leave you alone." Sally tries to convince but I wasn't going to be convinced by anything they say.
"I heal you after all the tourture don't I? Why can't you do something nice for me for once." Sally questions and then she smiles." Or maybe its because its hard for you to make friends? You never heard of sharing is caring? I'll give you an example since we are friends." Sally grabs a bucket of water and throws it on me and then heals my body.
The healing hurts for a moment but the pain from my ribs and shoulder soon disappear with her fast healing. She stops and then stands back and smiles at me.
"Friendship! Now its your turn!" she says walks closer to me. "Are you going to take the test now?-"
I had never spit in the face of a woman until now and she closes her eyes and her mouth drops as she rubs her face. She throws the spit from her face and wipes the rest on her pants she was wearing.
"I won't do a damn thing you say. Nothing." I say finally since it didn't hurt to talk.
"You think this tourture is going to make me talk to you? It won't. You threathened my kingdom , the ones I care about, and the air benders and you think I am going to tell you anything. So, do what you want. Nothing is coming out of my mouth." I respond and Sally looks over my body she just healed.
"And after I just healed you up. All over again, you are still choosing to not to do the right thing and do something good for me. What a shame." Sally as and turns quickly.
"Cass. Cut a finger off." She says my eyes moves back to Cass who jumped in the air and grabbed the sharpest thing to him runs up to Sally.
"A finger! Really!" he says and Sally nods her head and sighs.
"Yeah, Sonic still doesn't want to take this seriously so I guess we have no other choice but to take a finger." Sally says and turns around to me.
"Oh boy! I'm going to do a pinkie!" Cass jogs over to me quickly with the same saw and grabs my pinkie.
"Hm… Should I chop it off or saw it?" Cass asks and Sally scoffs.
"Whatever hurts more. The Prince isn't being fair." Sally says and Cass cheers.
"AWESOME!" Cass yells and he moves over to lever and lowers my right arm down while Sally water bends a ice table infront of me.
My hand comes down and Cass comes back over trying to grab it because I throw a punch at him making him laugh.
"Haha, look at the fear in his eyes." Cass says and then I feel a strong unnaturally ugre in my arm and it moves down on the table.
"How did-"
Cass steps over my arm and sits on my wrists so I couldn't move it. I couldn't move it anyway because I had no control over it.
"Thanks, Sally." Cass and I try to bring my arm back but it felt frozen.
"It must be from blood bending" I think as I watch Sally walk around Cass who was trying to get my pinkie but I had balled my hand up.
"Prince, come on! Open your pinkie!" he says and grunt as he tries to get it.
"Yeah, Prince." Sally said leaning close to my face and touching it. "Stretch your pinkie out for my friend."
My pinkie moves out its self and Cass grabs it quickly making me growl. I feel the blade touch it and I squeeze my eyes shut for the same pain felt on my shoulder.
"Ready?!" Cass asks excidelty and Sally laughs and I open my eyes to see her watching.
"Yeah, go for it." She says and I stare into her eyes.
"Be strong, Sonic do it for your people and your friends-"
The pain of the saw against my skin was putting me such in a distress. I let this derange fox saw into my pinkie as I tried my best not to yell but that's all I wanted to do. I start to feel light headed from the torture and I let my head drop slowly. My stomach started to turn as my knees went weak and I let my body drop since all I could think about was my pinkie leaving my hand.
The heat in my body stirs and I start to sweat and close my eyes and soon Cass gets off my arm and I lean my head up slowly and weakly to look at my hand. My vision was very blurry but all I could see is red since I am guessing that was my blood spewing out of my hand. I cough and gag even more as I look off and I close my eyes again.
Soon, someone grips my head roughly and I feel something touch my nose making my eyes open.
It was my pinkie finger. Disconnected from my hand and I stare at it as Cass talking about how cool it looks. I swallow heavily and Sally just stares at me and rolls her eyes and snatches my pinkie from Cass and moves it back to my bloody hand. I watch her as she connects it correctly and starts to heal it back. I feel sharp pains in my hand and that makes me feel more ill. My head drops quickly and I black out quickly.
"SPLASH"
I open my wet eyes to see Sally standing infront of me and I look around for the guy who was beating on me since I got here and Sally clears her throat.
"Beat him fifty more times. I'm not healing him this time. Just make sure he looks the most beat up he can so once we lure in his close friends it will be easier to find the princess." Sally says and my eyes widen.
"Sure thing!" Cass says from beside me and I look at and I see that he has a wooden bat now.
"Oh! You seem quite nervous, Prince." She says and I growl.
"What do you need them for. They have nothing to do with this!" I yell and I pull at the chains and I notice my pinkie is back on my hand.
"Because you wont cooperate… plus since you killed my boyfriend, then maybe I should take away more things you love. Just like how you did me. Or everyone." She suggests and I frown.
"I swear to chaos… if you even think ABOUT TOUCHING ANYONE! I'LL KILL YOU!" I yell and Sally scoffs.
"You killed Scourge so, I'm just following the quota your mijestiy and I growl. " Anyway. Cass make this quick. I'm losing pacience, plus its almost morning time. We have to do this early before the spirt world closes in the next two weeks. Who knows how long this going to take now." Sally says.
"Spirt world?" I think as I watch her sit and look at me with bordom and the Cass comes back infront of me with the same kiddy smile.
"Alright! Let's take it from the stop and let's start this off great!" Cass says and he scuffles my hair and then takes a step back.
"They are going to beat me again. And this time I don't think he is just aiming for my ribs. If I am going to be bait then I should be strong."
I stand up taller making Cass smile drop and I smile to myself.
"The tougher I act the more they can't think my friends will just easily get trapped or taking down. I have to do my abosoulte best to keep my composure." I think and I exhale peacefully.
"Just fifty times. Fifty times for the people I care about the most."
"I'm ready." I say with a confident smirk. "Because as soon as you see my friends and they get me loose from these hand cuffs. I'm ripping both of your body parts off. Limb. To. Limb. So, make sure you get me good, Cass."
The room goes silent and Cass blushes as he looks at me Sally groans.
"Cass, ignore him! Just go already!" Sally encourages and Cass comes back to earth and grips the bat.
"R-Right." He says and he swings the bat back far and I close my eyes as the beating intensifies more and more as the numbers climb up, but I wasn't going to give up.
"She brought up taking, Amelia. So, I have to be concious to protect her at all costs."
AMY POV
The sounds of fire, roaring in my ear like wind makes me open my eyes. It's dark. And I reach my hand out to see where I was but I felt nothing. It was almost like I was floating as I drop my hand back down to my side. I turn my neck around the dark area and then I look back forward to see a small blue flimmer of light. It approaches me very slowly and it comes close to my face.
A small blue flame right above my nose and tickles my nose and I blow at it to get it away and it sweeps into my throat making freak out. I clamp my hands over my neck and I feel the fire spread through me quickly. My arms start to warm up and I grab as it feels like it is on fire.
I wince and the same feeling moves over my body so quickly and I close my eyes in fear since the heat crawled up my neck and up my head.
"It's so hot."
My heart pumps loudly and I gasp again. It does it faster and faster and I clench my heart and I hear a light ringing in my head. It gets louder and louder and I soon move up quickly.
I open my eyes to see myself in a room. I look around carefully to see no one in it but the sunlight shinning on my body. The sweat sliding down my face scares me, and I touch my face quickly and stare at it.
I notice a lot of sweat is on my hand, so I move the cover off of me. I fold my arms and look around afraid and then I stand up out of the bed.
"I feel fine." I think after all the heat I had been feeling lately subsides.
I notice the door was cracked so I open it and walk out. My feet thumps on the wood as I look for someone and I walk down the stairs. The sounds of voices start coming to my ears and I look to see everyone… but Sonic. My eyes search quickly and then I remember everything that happened.
"I… Where did all those blue flames come from. Was it from me? No, that couldn't be it? I… I can't do that." I think but then I look at my hand to see them slightly darker than usually and it looked I touched some ash or something.
I take more steps and someone gasps making me stop.
"Princess!"Knuckles yells and everyone approaches me even Shadow who stayed in the back.
They pull at my arms and look over me carefully but mostly Cream touches my forehead.
"Sweaty. Do you have a fever?" Cream asks and I stare at her.
"I… I feel … What happenend?" I ask and Axel frowns.
"The stupid prince happened. What did you two talk about for him to attack you like that?" he asks, and I freeze.
"Attack me? Sonic would never- "
"The prince attacked you and we found you uncoinuses. What did you talk about?" Shadow asks and I look at him.
"I… I can barely remember." I say as I look off and then my head hurts making me wince.
"Hey, easy. Someone get her a chair." Silver says and Tails brings a chair over for me.
I sit down slowly, and I start feeling light headed. Blaze then brings me a water and I take it too.
"thanks" I say, and they nod their head but then they start looking worried.
"We don't know what would make Sonic do that." Knuckles says and he kneels down to me. "But princess we are sorry. Again."
"Sonic… What did he do?" I ask and Knuckles shakes his head.
"We are guessing he got mad and attacked you." Knuckles says and I feel even more confused.
"I don't think Sonic attacked me. Well, I don't remember him doing that." I say and the room gets silent.
"… You don't think he hurt you?" Shadow asks and I shrug my shoulders.
"No… I don't think so… we were arguing but… I don't think Sonic would ever hurt me."
My comment leaves the room quiet and Knuckles leans up and rubs his head.
"You don't remember what happened?" he asks.
"…No… I don't know. I don't think Sonic would do that… we-"
"What were you guys arguing about?" Shadow asks.
I remember the argument, but I decide not to bring it up since it wasn't nothing important.
"Nothing important-"
"But it had to be important for you two to fight. Or him to attack you." Rouge says and I look at her. "Just tell us, Amy. We are all here for you."
I look around everyone and my eyes stop on Axel and I look off again.
"I don't know if that's a good idea-"
"You two used to date right?" Shadow asks making me look at him slowly. "Right?"
"Y-Yeah-"
"So, that's what they were talking about. Their relationship. The princess is still mad about something and the Prince probably tried to fix it and it got out of hand leading him to probably try to fight you." Shadow says.
"How… Where are these guesses coming from-"
"I don't think Sonic would hurt her." Blaze says and everyone looks at her. "Seriously. Why would Sonic drag us all here and fight the girl he isn't the kind of person to do that to someone-"
"Okay, how do we know you just aren't trying to trick us." Shadow says. "You like him, too don't you? You definitely act like it by how you follow him like a child to their mother."
"I-I don't! Not anymore anyway! I'm just saying why would Sonic fight his crush?" Blaze yells and Shadow rolls his eyes.
"The prince has done much worse, hasn't he? This is nothing but the icing on the cake-"
"Wait."Silver says and he leans down too me. "Are you sure Sonic wouldn't hurt you?"
I think long and slowly, and I nod my head making Silver nod his head and smile.
"Then it's not Sonic. It wasn't him." Silver says and everyone looks relieved but guilty for some reason.
"So, where did the fire come from?" Tails asks and everyone looks at me.
"I'm not sure… I don't remember. I just remember feeling scared and hot. It was a blur. I was panicaking-"
"How can you not remember? You didn't hit your head." Shadow says angrily and I frown.
"No- I don't think so-"
"So, you don't know now? Holy fuck, I can't take these royals seriously." He says and that makes me angry.
"Hey, she was probably dazed!" Cream says and Shadow scoffs.
"She got a little sunburn. Big deal. We are trying to figure out of the prince is actually bat shit crazy or is there another fire bender here. But the princess is acting like a lost puppy who can't remember shit. I'm leaving." Shadow says.
I open my mouth to yell at him but my feet start feeling warm and I look down at them as the heat rises through me.
"What… it feels just like the dream."
"Hey! She just woke up out of her sleep confused! Give her a break!" Rouge says coming to my side.
"You guys baby the fuck out of her. I can't believe we can't just find out what happenend with her and the prince. This isn't high school." Shadow says again and that makes me angier.
"Shadow, come on. She was uncounisuous." Silver says and Shadow scoffs and opens the door and looks at me like I am stupid.
"I think she is just trying cover up her stupid crush from you guys. Unfuckingbelieveable-"
I get up quickly without anyone expecting it and I charge Shadow who doesn't move because he was too cocky and probably thought I wasn't strong enough to hurt him, but I push him and flames erupt from hands with it and Shadow eyes widen and he flies out the room. The blue flames float past my head and I look at them.
The spreads around the wooden house and gets on the curtain but I was too busy looking my hands that were holding blue flames. I step back and Shadow leans up from me pushing him and he stares at my hands in awe "What's happening. How can I even do that. I... Am I looking attached hands right."
I turn around carefully to rest of them and everyone jaw is dropped.
"Amelia... how are you doing that." Axel asks and my start to shake.
"I don't... I don't know." I say and I touch the fire in my palm to see if it would burn but it doesn't. I don't even feel as hot as the blue flame seemed to be and I close my hands to try to stop it but the fire blast around the room making some of them dodge.
"Ahh! Sorry!" I say waving my hands at them and the fire goes straight for them.
Everyone dodges quickly and gasp and touch my face with flames still in my palms.
"Sorry... I- I don't know what is going on." I say and I smell smoke and I look down to see a big shirt that was wearing start to burn exposing my legs and thighs.
"AHHH!" I scream since my clothes were burning rather fast and fire comes out my mouth, catching more things on fire.
" I can't stop! Help please!" I say and I try to put out my shirt the blue flame still there burning it more and I blush madly.
Blaze runs over and pushes me into the bathroom, and I walk carefully, leaving a trail of blue flames behind me from my feet.
"Bl-blaze. I can't stop it." I say as the fire comes out as I speak and Blaze looks at me amused and so curious.
"You are firebrnding!" She says and I freeze.
"I... I'm doing what-"
I start cough and the burning flame grows hot in my chest making me fall over. The flames increase in my chest and I cough even louder making them open the door and Blaze crouches down to me and stops the burning of my shirt.
"I-I-I-Is she okay." Silver says shockingly and I cough even more.
"Yeah… yeah she is fine." Blaze says weirdly making me look up to her.
I cough more and she places her hand over my mouth the flames in my chest calm down. I cough softly and then I stop coughing all together and breathe as it finally stopped. I close my eyes and scoot closer to Blaze because whatever she did made me feel so much better.
"I thought that would be better. Seems like you can't control the flame in you and it's just causing you to choke on smoke, but hey we can work on that." She says and I look up to her?
"Work on what?"
Everyone else starts to peep in and look at me and that look at me concerned.
"She firebended… a water bender… wait are you even a water bender anymore? You have two abilites." Tails says and everyone gasps.
"She is one of us. Kind of." Blaze says and I look at her gold eyes as she looks at me amazed.
"Haha, and your fire is blue. What does that even mean?" Blaze says and pats my head like I am an experiment to her and then Axel pushes his way through.
"She isn't a pet." He says and Blaze frowns at him.
"I'm not treating her as one! Your princess just fire bended! Do you not realize how cool that is?" she says and Axel looks at me in concern.
"How is that even possible?" Silver asks and I try to think as well and Tails pops his head under the legs and looks at me close.
"I think its because of her mom." He says and I freeze.
"My mom…"
"She was a fire bender. And your dad is a water bender. You got both powers." He says and I look into his eyes.
"That's amazing." Blaze says while still covering my mouth and I look at hands.
"Fire bender… my mom. Am I a fire bender?"
I look at everyone watching me to do something and I blush at the extra attettion.
"OW!" Blaze moves her hand from my face since it was getting and probably hotter than normal and I start coughing again.
"B-Blaze. She is choking." Rouge says and Blaze panics and places her hand around my mouth but its too hot.
"I've never even been burned before! This is so cool! It's like a weird fire bending and water bending hybrid!" Blaze yells touching my face again just to say "Ow".
I cough even more and this time I stand up because something didn't feel right inside me.
"feel like I have to explode."
I fan my hands for them to move and of course fire comes out and some of it gets on Axel and everyone freaks out trying to put it out. I try to open my mouth to speak but I can't since my chest was getting so hot.
"Oh shit. It feels like I am a bomb-"
Shadow appears in front of me and grabs my arm and blast me outside. I thought I was going to hit the ground but his air places me gently on the ground and I cough even more and then my widen as I feel the heat expand.
"Why did you throw her-"
"GET DOWN!" Shadow says and they all do so and I cough again and then I feel the warmness disappear and it gets super bright.
"BOOM"
My ears ring as I cough weakly and I look at the blue sky lazily. A figure moves infront of me and picks my head up and waves their hand back and forth.
"Mmmm." I say as I reach down for my chest and I groan in pain.
The vibrations of the noises start getting clearer and everyone is talking rapidly.
Axel comes at me with a blanket and covers me for some reason and I close my heavy eyes.
"Hey! Wake up." He says and I open my eyes sleeply.
"I… tired…" I say and I let my head fall back but Cream brings it forward.
"Tails!" Cream yells and Tails rushes over beside me and touches my chest lightly and I wince since I feel the heat swirl in my body.
"Ow…" I say and tears peak in my eyes.
"Hey! You are making her cry!" Axel yells and everyone starts to come over as they hear Axel.
"I'm trying to see where she is hurting." Tails says and he touches over my chest and lungs and he closes his eyes.
"Just breathe." Tails says and I blink slowly and breathe like he says but everything just makes me feel more tired.
"Why is she closing her eyes?" Rouge asks worried.
"Well, maybe its because having two powers is draining. I am sure something is fighting the fire power but… I'm not sure. I think it's here to stay. She just needs to control it, like how we learned as kids." Tails says.
"I can do this!" Blaze says crawling to me and pushing Axel away. "Aw, what a sleepy fire and water bender." She says rubbing my face.
"She isn't a pet!" Axel says and Blaze doesn't hear him as she admires my face.
"Just take a deep breath and let it flow through you, instead of holding all here." She says touching my chest and I wince. "See, that's why it hurts. Let me move it around but after that you have to let it roam around your entire body."
"Let fire roam around my body? Then that means it would stay here forever… do I want that."
I think about Blaze's advice as she fire bends fire enrgy in my body and I close my eyes gently as I feel it move around. The heat rushes through my spine making me shiver and I flinch from the big amount of chi.
"It's so much power… so much chi." Blaze says and I look at her blushing rapidly.
"Chaos… you are probably stronger than some professional fire benders." She says and the stops touching me and I feel the fire move back slowly making me wince.
"Ow-its hot." I say and Blaze nods her head.
"Just let it flow. Don't bring it all back in." she says and I groan.
"What If she doesn't want to be a fire bender." Axel says and I look at him."She might be pushing it away."
"Well, she has been a fire bender all along." Blaze says." A fire bender and a water bender."
"I'm still confused." Knuckles says as he watches over everything and everyone else talks too to explain it more.
The more they talk the more I feel the flame reaching into me. It only hurts when I resist but when I am just letting move around me it feels so cooling. I let it soar everywhere and then I cough making everyone stop talking.
"You okay?" Cream asks.
"I think so… it tingles. But… it doesn't hurt anymore." I say and Blaze looks at me happily.
"A fire and water bender! This is history!" Blaze says and Shadow steps.
"It is but we should all keep it a secret for now." He says and then he looks at me. "SO, I am guessing that explode thing you did is why you were unconious and why Sonic looked so concerned at you. I knew it wasn't him from the beginning." He says and that reminds me Sonic is missing.
"Why did you agree on kicking him out then?" Silver asks stepping up to him. "That could have been prevented if you would have opened your smart mouth."
"Kicked out? They did what-"
"Sonic is gone?" I ask and Shadow looks at me.
"Yep. We thought he attacked you, so we kicked him only to find out that the princess is a fire bender as well. Sonic, saw it first before all of us." He says.
"So, you knew Sonic didn't do it and you still agreed on kicking him out of the palalce?" Blaze asks and Shadow laughs.
"Fuck, that guy. He has caused everyone here trouble so why does it even matter." Shadow says and Knuckles walks over to Shadow.
"Sonic, is trying is best! He is the prince of the fire kingdom and we all know that it is pretty bad from what we do but he told me he was trying to change, and you just keep on picking on him for it!" Knuckes says and Shadow laughs even more.
"you are the one who kicked him out. It was your idea. You are trying to defend someone you kicked out. You didn't trust him first and now he is gone. I just greased it up so his dangerous ass could get far away from here." Shadow says and he gets all in Knuckles face. "We aren't that."
Knuckles heat rushes around us and so does Shadow's wind as they stare each other down. They both looked so pissed at each other and I lean up slowly.
"Stop!" I yell and everything stops.
"We… we can't fight anymore. Let's just stop." I say and I start thinking about Sonic really was trying to fix the issues in the world.
"We all don't trust him. We don't. And no one can say they did which is why he is gone but we should go find him and bring him back. Sonic is trying. I agree with Knuckles, so we just go find him and apologize." I say and everyone seems unsure but then they are probably thinking about how they wrongly accused him.
I try to get up with the towel around me and I fall back to the ground weakly. Blaze catches me and eases me back down.
"Easy, you have two abilites that are probably ripping at all your chi-"
"But I can't just sit here. Can I get some more clothes? We have to go find him before he does something dramatic." I say thinking about how emotionally the fire benders can be and Blaze helps me up and Rouge and Cream come around me to hold up the blanket since I noticed that I was naked from burning them up.
"I'll go get you some clothes." Silver says taking off quickly and Shadow watches him.
"How about the rest of us go look for Sonic. The women can catch up later." Knuckles says and Tails agrees but Shadow and Axel seemed to think otherwise.
"If I find him, I'm kicking his ass." Axel says and Shadow just flies off into the sky and heads out of the palace.
Knuckles, Tails, and Axel also head there while I rest up and heal to get ready to go look myself for him.
"It's my fault they did that too him. And maybe we are too harsh on him when he is just trying his best to change what he did. I'll give him another chance at being a good person, but he did lose his last chance into getting to my heart.
Hours of searching later.
I got changed into some extra fire bending clothes that Rouge had brought for the fire benders so since I was a new one, she made me put on the clothes to avoid being naked.
I step out of the house after changing clothes and having my bare feet on the ground was weird since fire kept on coming out of it when I lose control of it so Blaze recommenend that was the best for me.
"I don't see how they do this. I am stepping on pebbles and practically everything." I think as I look down to my feet and then I start to look at my outfit.
I had on individual black sleeves that stopped at my armpit and then another black tight hosteler top that hugged my chest. I then had on black shorts that had pockets and it stopped above my knee and then I had the same material sleeves on my thigh that stopped over my ankles.
The outfit overall felt very tight based on the material they had to wear so their clothes wouldn't burn off but I was starting to get used to it as I walked towards the group of girls and one boy who was waiting on me.
They turn around and Rouge and Cream look at my outfit interestingly while Blaze was super amazed while she runs up to me.
"Wow! It looks so natural on you!" she says looking over me.
"It feels weird. This fabric is so thick. How do you do it?"
"I have always worn it so its something to get used too. OH! I JUST GOT AN IDEA!" Blaze says and starts to fly with fire coming out of her feet.
"Do you want to learn how to fly?" she asks and I watch her float easily.
"I… I don't want to hurt anyone. Plus we should probably go look for Sonic while its still day."
"You can learn as we walk out the exit." Rouge says coming into the conversation.
"I don't know…" An unsure feeling of using the fire power I just obtained made me feel nervous, but Blaze grabs my hands anyway and she pulls me into the air.
"B-Blaze!" I say looking down at the height I was from and she goes higher and starts to move towards the exit.
"Don't drop her!" Rouge yells and Blaze didn't even hear her.
'Okay, first just think about flying. The way to fire bend is about controlling your chi because fire is a wild state. So, the more you just focus and not use as much then it should be simple." She says and I nod my head as I hang in the air.
"So, give it a try."
I look at my feet and I try to think about fire coming from it and nothing happens. I wave my feet back and forth since that's what triggeted it mostly, but nothing comes out making me look back at her.
"Nothing happening."
"Oh…" Blaze says and she stares at me and then looks at my hands in hers. "Maybe I should teach you how I was taught."
"How were you taught-"
Blaze lets go of my hands and I fall back in the air. My eyes widen as I move farther and farther from her and then I feel someone catch me in the air before I hit the ground.
"I had a feeling she would do that." Silver says and I look at my him laughing.
"Hey! You are ruining our lesson!" Blaze says flying down to Silver.
"Maybe we can skip the lesson for now. We are heading around the palace and I don't want the farmers or citizens to see." He says and Blaze groans and floats back down not to be seen.
Silver takes me down to the ground too and he places me back on the surface.
"Blaze, why did you drop her like that." Rouge and Blaze scoffs.
"That's how I was taught. It's not like I didn't warn her beforehand." Blaze says and Silver laughs even more. "Hey! But why didn't you fire bend?"
"I'm not sure. I didn't feel anything. Maybe it only happens when I get angry or something. I'm not sure but that's when it seems to happen."
Blaze groans impatiently as we leave the palace and I start to feel something inside my stomach, but I ignore it because I didn't want to slow down the process of finding Sonic even more.
"When did you guys kick Sonic out?"
Their faces are guilty once I ask about the moment I didn't get to see or remember but Silver speaks up first.
"Last night. After we all turned in we heard fire and loud noises and turns out the storage roof was on fire and then you were unconscious in his arms." Silver says and I Blaze speaks next.
"I had a small feeling that it he didn't harm you but honestly… I feel like I don't know Sonic at all. After all of this. Sonic kept a lot of secrets so when I saw you like that I really thought that he hurt you." Blaze says.
"What kind of secrets?"
Blaze blushes and starts to look around for him and we all do too.
"Secrets about not wanting to be with me and then something about Tails girlfriend. I had no idea about anything." Blaze adds.
Our walk becomes sensitive fast as she brings up Cosmo and I decide to change the subject.
"But that's okay." I say and Blaze looks at me quick.
"Sonic… he is doing his best to become the person he wants to be… I don't think we are giving him a chance to be his new self. We all think Sonic is this…scary, not trustworthy person but he did just stop hiding under this mask and act like himself. Like when he made the juice for us. That was the real him."
The search for him seemed to become an eye opener on how much we put on Sonic.
"The juice was pretty good. He also is always looking after me." Cream says softly.
"And he is funny at times." Rouge adds on.
"He is nice looking too." Silver says and we all laugh.
Blaze sighs and I can tell that she was still hurt about Sonic lying to her for so long.
"Blaze. Sorry for lying to you about me and him." I say and Blaze frowns slightly.
"Yeah, that one hurt because I washed you and everything while you were hurt and you still lied to me."Blaze says but shrugs it off. "But I forgive you. Just… don't break his heart or anything. He really , really cares about you." He says and that almost makes me stop walking.
"After the fight with Tails. All he talked about was getting you back. He risks everything for you and Sonic is not the kind of person to do things like that for people… unless its someone he cares about but I had never seen that stressed to find someone." Blaze says and she blushes.
"I'm kind of jealous." She says lastly and I look down to my fingers.
Sonic face when we were arguing made me think about what I said to him and I groan.
"Fuck, Blaze is right. Sonic… Sonic is always putting himself last and he always tries his hardest to be the best he can be but we all just keep on hurting him with words we don't know how deep can cut into him… he has already been through enough."
Silver stops walking and turns to the left of the forest and stares at it. We stop too and we watch his eyes move quickly.
"What's wrong?" I ask and he shushes me after.
Feeling of confusion comes with him looking to the right and he closes his eyes and then opens them fast. He takes a step back and bumps into me.
"Something isn't right." He says and he looks around to us.
"Something is here. I… the wind is different and the pressure. The ground." Silver bends down and touches it and then stands up.
"I can't explain it. But something else is here. A lot of people-"
An explosion comes from the left and we watch the fire spread in the air making an orange cloud. Silver takes off quickly into the sky and we follow him, Blaze flies too leaving us behind, so I create an ice on the ground to push Cream, Rouge and I faster towards the explosion.
"What could that be? And what does Silver even mean?"
We travel towards to the explosion and I hear a familiar yelling. I stop and I see the rest of the bows. Shadow was looking at Knuckles angrily with Tails and Axel trying to stop it.
"He walked into my air. How is that my fault?" Shadow says lowly and Knuckles walks up closer to him.
"You did that on purpose! We had been flying around the entire time but all the sudden you want to collide with me? Shadow… at this point just say the words and we can have a round two."
"You wouldn't even last. So. You aren't even worth the time." Shadow says and that makes Knuckles just scoff.
"STOP FIGHTING!" I yell as we get close enough and the group male benders look at suddenly from my outburst.
The damage around the area made me groan because a tree had fallen over and some of the ground was still on fire so I water bend some water on it and approach the boys who wouldn't stop arguing for one day.
"Stop agruging and fighting Have we learned nothing fixing that big ass hole in the forest yesterday?"
Shadow laughs at my comment leans back on a tree."Yeah, that your ex created."
No one talks after Shadow constantly talks bad about Sonic and I think that we had already done enough to him anyway.
"What's your problem?"
I make my way to Shadow who watches me walk up to him and watches me carefully.
"You always had a problem with Sonic. Besides his terrible past and his asshole remarks, why do you have such a problem with him?"
Shadow faces changes to more serious that he is half of the time and looks behind me.
"Ask Silver. He was there-"
"I'm asking you." Shadow looks off for once and walks behind the tree and starts walking.
Shadow walks away from us and Silver comes up to me and pats my head.
"Maybe we should just drop it." Silver says because Shadow quiet leave but because of Shadow angry behavior, I just had to know.
"He did fucked up shit to all of us, Shadow." I say walking up to him as he walks around more trees with the sun glancing in. "So, tell me what he did to you. I remember you saying something about burning your village down but that's all you said-"
Shadow stops walking and I feel the anger from as he turns around and looks at me. He first opens his mouth but then he looks all behind me and I look too to see my friends looking at him concerned. Silver jogs up and he was about to say something to Shadow but Shadow flies off into the air before anyone could get to him.
"Hey, Princess. Maybe we can just let it go." Silver says akwardly but the way Shadow looked at me when I asked him why he was so aggravated about Sonic caused me to run after him.
I waterbend a tree branch to my arm and I launch myself in the sky, hard towards where he went. I spot Shadow flying towards the ocean. I close my eyes and use the water from the mist to shut myself towards him. I reach my arm out for his back and I jump on his back.
Shadow reaches behind him quickly and grips my arm harshly and we both start flying out of wack.
"OW! ITS ME!" I say and he stops pulling at my arm and flies down to the ground.
Instead of gripping my arm hard he throws me off his back and I plop on the ground on my butt. I rub my arm and he starts to walk again but I freeze his foot making him stop.
"HEY!-"
"What!" Shadow yells and breaks the ice off his ankle harshly and starts to approach me.
The stomping of his feet as he comes towards makes me look at the anger in his face and I wait for words to come out.
"I'm just… I'm just trying to talk to you-"
"For what?!" he yells and I stare at his irraitated face. "I don't need your sweet princess conuseling that you give everyone."
"Comuseling? This is me trying to be your friend and talk to you since all you have been is mean to everyone. Even Silver."
"Because Silver doesn't get how much he is putting our home at risk." Shadow says.
"I'm sure he does know, Shadow. Silver, trusts you more than anyone here it seems like… I'm not telling you to trust me immediately. I just want you to talk to me about why you are angry. If we are going to be friend in the future, then you have to atleast try to be a civil nice person!"
"Who said I ever wanted to be your friend?" Shadow asks confused and my jaw drops.
"What do you mean? You don't want to be friends!" I yell and Shadow blushes and turns away from.
"Stop being a annoying water bending fire freak!"Shadow yells at me and that makes me annoyed.
"Hey! You are the only one being an annoying and rude! You talk about the Prince so much about how is a terrible person, but I haven't seen you act kind to no one since you saved me from bleeding out infront of the fire kingdom!" I yell and Shadow keeps on going and I stand up quickly to catch up to him.
"Don't compare to that devil." Shadow says and I run infront of him making him stop.
"WHAT DID HE DO TO YOU FOR YOU TO HATE EVERYONE! TELL ME!"
Shadow just looks at me for a moment then he raises his hand at me.
I flinch, waiting for some crazy wind to hit me like he did to the others but then he doesn't do anything I open my eyes slowly to look at him.
"Look." Shadow shows me his hand and I had already saw the faded bruns that that went up his form arm and some random spots on his arm. "Your ex's mom attacked my village a long time ago, because we wouldn't give them the last clairovoant in the world."
"She was slaughting children, babies, familes, elerdy, the sick. Anyone who was in the village was killed and it could have been me too if the Queen never would have told soldijers to check around the forest. Where my mom told me, Silver and Tikal to hide… but this one solider found us. Just one and he tried to attack Silver who was far too young to even protect himself so I told him and Tikal to run and I tried my best to fight off the soldijer but he burned my entire hand while I was using air bending and it exploded. Causing me actually kill someone because of the blast but we got away."
His story makes me look around his face and his angry face he had dropped as he looked to his hand.
"That's why I don't trust the prince. He is related to one of the worst leaders to ever exist and he brings trouble everywhere he goes." Shadow says lastly.
"I'm sorry about that. But Shadow… we can't let the queen affect us forever. She died long ago and Sonic isn't like her. The queen hurt Sonic in every way possible-"
"So, you just want to forgive the guy that killed your people too?" Shadow asks and I shake my head.
"I said this multiple times before, the prince he was… he was forced-"
"I understand he was forced but, it makes him a worse person just to watch wrong doings happen to innocent people and even worse not to do anything about it." Shadow says and that makes me quiet.
"You can say he is going to change the world, but the fire kingdom will never change, no matter what you guys do. Everyone will live in fear of them and that's just how it will be… Have you even thought about how the prince would get the fire kingdom to see that they are wrong? If he couldn't face his mother, then just imagine trying to change the mind of hundreds of fire benders that have been taught to hate others." Shadow turns to me, waiting for me to speak.
"I… um." My mind was foggy from all he said.
"It's not like Shadow is wrong. Maybe Sonic and I overshot this idea of changing the world. We didn't know how hard it would but still… "
"Still, Shadow… I'm not giving up until we get the equality we deserved. All of us. We were all hurt by the queen's actions. Even Sonic who is struggling to be seen different than how he used to be. You may not think Sonic is trying to be better or change the ways of the fire kingdom, but he is. You know he is changing too, that's why you came out here looking for him…"
Shadow folds him arms and shakes his head.
"You know Sonic is trying. You are a smart guy. I know how you feel too… his mother killed mine and many others and he killed my best friend because of his mom… His mom ruined everything Shadow but it's up to us to end it. We have too." I say and Shadow laughs but then he starts to look serious.
"We?" he asks, and I nod my head quickly.
"Yes, we. You are probably the strongest air bender in the world right now so…your help would be greatly appericated on changing the world as well."
"The strongest… psh. Here you go with the nonsense again." Shadow says and then he blushes while looking off.
"It's true!" I say and Shadow rolls his eyes. "Shadow when are you going to start being truer to yourself and your feelings. You know you think Sonic is a good person too if you could have guessed that Sonic would never hurt me then you have also had to know that he is serious when he means that he wants to do good."
Shadow chuckles and starts to walk around.
"You are right. I didn't say anything about him being good because he is such a cocky bastard." Shadow says and makes me laugh.
"He is pretty cocky-"
A girl who blond hair lands infront of us making stop suddenly and she looks at me only. Her shiny blue headband and her blue combat outfit made me look over quickly and carefully since I had no idea what was going to happen. She also had a small ax on her back that made me even more caustious about what was going to happen. She didn't speak nor bat an eye as she watched me. Shadow takes one step back, with his hand out just in case and the girl keeps on looking at me.
The girl closes her eyes and then Shadow and I stop moving. She lifts her leg up quickly and her arms and slams it. The ground starts to shake, and Shadow and I lose balance and she leaps at me taking advantage of that. She grabs the handle of her ax on her back and I try to react, but ground was moving like a big wave. Shadow blasts her away with air and her eyes widen since she wasn't expecting that, and she flies through the trees.
The ground keeps on shaking and knocks over plenty of trees. Shadow turns around and grabs me and flies in the air to get away from the shaky ground.
"Who was that!?" Shadow asks and I watch the forest basically shake and move from above and then I look at the air the girl could have went but I didn't spot her.
"I'm not sure, but she was definitely trying to attack me. Did you see the look in her eyes-" Shadow not knowing who she was catches my attention and I start looking around rapidly while on his back.
"Shadow we have to find the other-"
The ground rumbles loudly and the vibrations of the earth cracking starts to affect our ears as we are in the air. The trees start falling and everything starts to get destroyed as it continues then the land becomes dusty from the destruction. Shadow air bends the dust away and it shows the same blond-haired hedgehog on the ground staring at us and not saying a word. I clench onto Shadow shoulder as I look the damage from the earth bender and then places her hands on the ground.
Pebbles shoot at us quickly and Shadow creates an air dome to stop them but some succedd with entering and slices him and me both on the face.
"Tch!" Shadow says and he flies directly at the girl.
"WAIT SHE HAS AN AX AND WE DON'T!" I yell at Shadow charing into to battle but I knew he wasn't afraid because of his skills.
"You either let go of me and find the others or you join this fight with this random girl." Shadow says and him brining up our friends makes me jump off his back as he lands on the ground infront of her.
"You are right! You hold her off while I go check on them!" I yell and then the ground rumbles again and I see Shadow fighting her.
I slowly turn away from Shadow taking her on and I look forward and I start to water bend myself from the broken trees. The area was completely destroyed as she made an open area in the forest. It was a great amount too so I knew she was powerful but not too powerful, but I trusted in Shadow to be okay until I found our friends.
"Guys!" I yell and I look around rapidly for any voices.
"Guys!" My voice echos through the forest and sigh since no one was responding. "Dammit… how am I susposed to find them now-"
The ground shifts and I fall on my butt because of the random movement and I get pulled into a bush. A hand goes over my mouth and I was about to attack until I saw Axel and Knuckles. I look at them confused and they move me up and point out into the forest. I look around even more confused until I see a brown wolf. He had a huge sword on his back and walked around quietly like he was looking for someone. The scar on his face and the no feeling in his eyes sent a chill on my back as I watch him walk around.
Knuckle slowly removes his hand I turn to them quietly.
"Who is that-"
My eyes goes straight to Axel's arm and I see that he had been cut by something and he was holding it too stop the blood. My eyes widen and Axel shakes his head and nods his head back to the guy and we continue to watch him in silence. The wolf sniffs the air and then he stops.
I swallow heavily as I look at the big difference of his height as he turns around and he faces the bush we were hiding in. He grabs the handle of his huge sword and I watch him bringing it down and it touches the dirt. The sun shines on the sharp blade and I look back at him once he takes a step towards us.
"Amy."Axel whispers and I look at him.
"Run. Go find the others and run." He says and I stare at him.
"I… I cant just leave you here. Let me heal you-"
"It's just a gash. I will be fine but this guy is dangerous. You need to go find the others. Something isn't right." He says and I look at him confused."Just go-"
"You know that feeling… when you feel like someone else is in the room with you. That's what it feels like. I can feel the eyes pouring into my head."The wolf says and he sighs heavily. "Just bring the Princess out. I heard her yelling. You bring her to me, and I'll leave you all alone. Along with my other friends here trying to get her."
His quiet and deep voice makes me freeze until Axel pushes me and looks at me seriously.
"You have to go." He mouths.
Knuckles agrees with him and motions me to walk out of the bush from the back and escape.
"Okay…" I mouth back and I turn away but me leaving them didn't feel right as I crawl quickly but quietly.
I make sure to get far enough from the wolf to get up and start running.
"Find the others… wait why do they want me to find the others… and why are they so quiet… also who are these people? I just hope everyone is okay."
I search quietly and carefully this time since I was being targeted. I started feeling more and more worried as I run through the thick forest for my friends. The ground randomly shaking also made me more worried about the friends I just left behind.
"And Axel is wounded. Did that wolf do that too him?"
I silde under a thick branch and then I start hearing water. I slow down and I crawl into a bush as I start hearing voices too. I crawl on the ground and I feel the texture of the surface change and I start to see sand. I crawl even more, and I peak out of a bush and I see the bright sun shining on the ocean and it reflected back at me. My eyes look around quickly for the voices I heard, and a pair of legs pass me making me hold my breath.
I watch the legs move and then I look up higher to see the guy with a sword on his back as well. He had on brown pants and white dingy shirt. His red hair and eyes made me nervous of him and the muscles on his body did too.
"Ugh, how did I get guard duty." He says out loud and I watch him carefully walk down the beach and going farther away from me.
"Guard duty… guarding what?"
I peak around some more and I don't see anything until I look towards the ocean. The wave moved back and forth but a part of the ocean didn't move and I noticed that it was ice. Frozen ocean that spread far into the middle of it and I my eyes travel all the down the path created by someone.
"Why is the ocean like that?"
I keep looking until my eyes stop on a body figure sitting on it in the middle of the ocean. Their head was handing down, with a bag over it and their hands behind their back and they just sat there as the ocean minded its business and went around them.
I observe the person and their head moves up lazily and they start looking around. I couldn't see that well, but I could notice the body movements. The guard even stops moving and notices that the person is moving as well.
"Oh, you woke up! I'm coming your majesty!" he yells.
"Majesty?"
I watch slide down the ice path and he walks right up to the person. I watch carefully as he says something to them and then he rips the bag off his head and blue hair comes out of it.
